That someone might very well be our Dato Seri Najib Tun Razak , the DPM who should really worry about what's happening today as reported by a strong UMNO backed online newsmedia.
Agenda Daily exposed today that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is flying off to Australia today!
I guess all Malaysians know who's holidaying 'Down Under' with the entire family. Could this turn of events bring about a reunification of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim with our nation's beleagured Prime Minister who is facing a barrage of questions from Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad, Malaysia's former Premier who is now a 'thorn' on both their sides?
A really spectacular out of the blue scenario for those who relish such drama taking shape in our nation's political theatre!
Wow! Najib must really be losing sleep tonight and it's not gonna be because of the World Cup soccer live telecasts, you bet!
It's just amazing... that's life for you folks! High up above and almost there ; then suddenly all hell broke loose and DSAI was smashed into the slammer!
DSNTR is today facing the dilemna of the uncertainty of his career's pinnacle or am I jumping the gun here?
Let's all open up that pack of menglembu nuts and see the show!
Que sera sera...whatever will be ..will be ....
Are Malaysians going to see something fruitful coming out of this eventual meeting between Pak Lah and the only other man who has the calibre to assist Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi salvage his leadership from going down under as the shortest premiership of them all or be up and above with their banners flying high and in all its glory?
Get that pack of nuts going ...this is a terrific twist of tales to miss....

Among all of Tun Dr.Mahathir's achievements during his 22 years of being the Prime Minister of Malaysia, apart from the Petronas KLCC, North South Highway, KLIA, Sepang F1 Circuit, Langkawi's development, MSC, and so many other developments, Proton is a subject very close to his heart!
When anyone praises or criticizes Proton, it is Tun Dr.Mahathir who feels it very deeply in his heart and soul! Proton is his brainchild.
When I attended the 'monologue' last Saturday, I could sense his attachment to the national car industry when he spoke with such a passion lambasting all who played a part in screwing Proton to becoming a liability to the present BN Government after sacking the former Proton Chief Executive Tan Sri Tengku Mahaleel, who had taken Proton to making huge profits and had been adding to the government's coffers with billions of sales tax ringgits to now being in the red and 'ridiculed' by every Ahmad, Ah Seng and Samy!
You must really view the videoclip of Tun's Century Paradise Club speech to digest what Tun had to say about Proton's current state of affairs and the one's responsible for it's slide from being one of the nation's pride of achievement to its current state for being the general public's main bone of contention!
I for one think that Tun Dr.Mahathir ought to be allowed to spill out all that has been stored in his 81 years old brain so that we may learn about the pro's and con's of all that has lead to the present stalemate of this nation's leadership quandary!
Really, Mr.Guna, if only you can arrange for a 'Dialogue' or as we all got it at Kelab Century Paradise on Saturday the 24th of June, 2006 a 'Monologue' by the Tun , this time by The Edge biznews group, I am sure that the turnout will be in the thousands if you could arrange for a bigger premise and location! Yang Mulia Raja Petra Kamaruddin, Editor of Malaysia Today.Net will surely be just too happy to help!
The whole nation is on 'the edge' to learn what the former Premier has to share with us, the voters about all these questions that you have posed to him in your "Question Time" column.
The million dollar question is whether the Tun would be willing to fulfill our wish to have a proper Dialogue this time around minus all the sideshow politicians wanting to share the spotlight on Tun as did 'Mr. Froggie' at the Century Paradise Club!
Okay back to your question.
"You went ahead with the national car project in 1983 despite a number of experts disagreeing with you, especially with respect to lack of economies of scale.
Isn't it true that Proton's profits over the last 20 years came out of vastly higher prices that the Malaysian public hs to pay to subsidise Proton, resulting in considerable hardship for Malaysians who need cars because of the poor public transport system?
More lately, why was it necessary for Proton to buy a stake in a failed Italian motorcycle manufacturer when it could not even produce cars competitively?"
Reasonable questions to ask Tun!
As a Wira owner ourselves, I find this question very relevant because the national car's high price and not that high quality compared to foreign imports which are cheaper and have better performing engines and accessories really makes me want to rally behind Mr.Guna and yell 'Yeah! Tun! Let's hear what you have to say about this?'
Really! Wira has so many things wrong with it. Sit back for I have a long list of problems that I want to dish out here publicly with regards to our 'pride and joy' national car!
- The dashboard meter. The system is all screwed up. At times when I fill up,the fuel gauge needle shows empty. When the tank is about to dry up, the fuel gauge shows full! :P So does the temperature meter. It will go up and down as it pleases! So much for our pride in the bloody Wira!
- The fragile bumper! How many times have you been driving on our roads only to see the Wira up ahead with a sagging bumper about to drop off like the disposable diapers on a baby half showing its butt because the diaper is swollen full with baby pee. The idiots who designed the bumper ought to be laid out on the highways and let us run them over with our bloody Wira's! Imagine just having a bumper for show- yeah, that's what it is -just for show! It is held up by a few spaced out clips! Yeah, just some plastic clips which snap off at the slightest bump into it by even a bicycle! No sense of protection at all if the car be involved in a crash!
- The central locking system. Everytime the weather turns rainy, the central locking system go haywire! The locks just pop up on their own and the car's not locked anymore! I have to manually push in the door locks and they stay locked for a few seconds; then pop up again as if there's a bloody 'toyol' in there playing tricks with me!
What bloody engineering is that to be proud of? Only my financial constraints keep me grumbling inside as I have to drive the bloody car daily and count my 'blessings' that at least we still have a car to transport us from point A to B without being drenched when it rains and burnt by the sun when it's the flaming hot midday afternoon solarheat!
So, in this question # 3, Mr.Guna , you have my full support in asking Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad about Proton! The quality doesn't qualify it's current prices!
Another last point of query, why the hell do we need to kowtow to the foreign market and offer the Europeans better quality export models, fully equipped with all the optional accessories, warranties, this and that and so damn cheaper than the price we Malaysians have to pay for the inferior local version?
Are we, Malaysians the perpetual scapegoats for the leader's to offer as sacrifice?
What kind of a stupid logic is that? Following the classic Malay proverb:
'Kera di hutan disusukan, anak di pangkuan mati kelaparan!' Orang lain dapat bunga, rakyat dapat tahi! Aiya!!!! Mana boleh macam ni?
Can you answer that for us ,Tun? Why the double standards?
Are you still having the 'subservient to the colonial' mentality?
For all your brouhaha against the West, Proton under your advisory seems so bloody eager to suck up to the 'Orang Putih'!
Care to share your 'monologue' with us about this Tun?....Please......
Press Freedom. Your criticism of the government got plenty of coverage in the local media whereas during your time, criticisms against you by two former prime ministers were muted in the mainstream newspapers.Editors in UMNO-linked newspapers too were removed during your time for not toeing the line.
What did you do to advance the cause of responsible press freedom?
I really wonder why Mr.Gunasegaram is asking the obvious? :P
Take anyone of us, put the fella up as the Prime Minister of this Bolehland!
Do you honestly will allow any kampong fellow not worth his sarong take you to task about matters that involve the freedom to screw you in the public eye and allow the fellow to breathe to the next minute ?
I have yet to meet anyone so magnanimous as what Mr.Guna is asking the Tun here why or what did Tun do to advance the freedom of the press?
We all read and accept that the Tun was not your run of the mill 'Okay Okay Guy'!
Tun Dr.Mahathir took no shit from nobody during his time in power and even to this day do I know that he will just accept whatever any young or old upstart comes up with against him!
At the recent Dialogue, he stated clearly that he will speak his mind and there was a sense of a 'veiled threat' from the Tun that if you go try to screw him , he'll screw you right back!
Now, that's a real 'jantan' talking! He doesn't pack his bags off and take the whole family on a trip 'Down Under' to avoid the shit hitting the fan!
Tun Dr.Mahathir may not be a bloody angel and over the years , he has slammed down hard on those who dared raise his ire and is worthy of being called a bloody dictator but the man is definitely not a chicken when it comes to defending himself!
This Nazri fellow barking and yelping at the Tun is but just looking out for his vested interests. Any of the cabinet ministers who are taking Tun Dr.Mahathir to task are simply taking care of their bowl of rice or whatever! Period.
He or she who doesn't show support and allegiance to the PM today won't see the light of day in the next GE, plain and simple. This is commonsense, isn't it?
It's just every man or woman in position looking out for themselves! Kiasuism at its' best.
Hello!!!! We are talking about lucrative positions, perks and all that comes with the cabinet ministerial positions and all the freebies that come with it.
No bills to worry about, all those allowances, transported to and fro by luxury automobiles, airconditioned comfort, pampered skincare and doting by the ignorant minions, palatial mansions, cashflowing so freely as if there's no tomorrow....who in their right mind would want to lose all these by allowing press freedom to criticize the main man, the top honcho, el supremo, the Peeee Emmm!
Mr.Guna, you are a good joker. Asking the Tun what did he do to 'free' the press?
Any ruler who did that today will see himself, splayed wide open, crucified for all his slip-ups, and tarred if not feathered on the main news tomorrow! Isn't that what a 'free press' can do sir?
Naturally, the Tun as any other Prime Minister or President, Agong, Sultan, Amir, this and that will never allow folks in the press to screw them as you please.
If they did, it's 'Selamat tinggal pujaan....you know the swansong!' He did it his way, the Master of Malaysia for 22 press throttled years! :P
Today, Tun Dr.Mahathir is definitely the 'darling of the press' for everytime he opens his mouth, every mic, every tape recorder, video recorder , now we have 'dvd' recorder will be thrust his way! Revel , O ye Reporters , for Mahathir's got something to say!!!
He's given you your wish Mr.Guna. You are now free to publish all that he has to say and share about the present leadership. That is , if he is still allowed to speak of 'cos!
You never know what's gonna happen in Bolehland! Anything goes!
That takes care of Question # 2! More coming later. Got to run off now. Another meeting :P
Selamat bertugas people ! Be good!
5:1 And Moses summoned all Israel and said to them, “Hear, O Israel, the statutes and the rules that I speak in your hearing today, and you shall learn them and be careful to do them.
2 The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
3 Not with our fathers did the Lord make this covenant, but with us, who are all of us here alive today.
4 The Lord spoke with you face to face at the mountain, out of the midst of the fire,
5 while I stood between the Lord and you at that time, to declare to you the word of the Lord. For you were afraid because of the fire, and you did not go up into the mountain.
6 “‘I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
7 “‘You shall have no other gods before me.
The Muslim Creed of Faith reads 'La ila ha ill lall lah! There is no God but Allah!
Let the Christians and Muslims come to common terms between us in the understanding of this verse and commandment of Allah the Almighty that is a crucial part of the Testimony of Faith for a Muslim and one of the Ten Commandments brought by the Prophet Musa Alaihisalam.
Verily we both agree that there is no God but Allah The Almighty!
The only difference is the definition of God as understood by Christians to be Jesus Christ, born to the Virgin Mother Mary @ Siti Mariam.
We Muslims accept Eesa Alaihisalam as a mighty Messenger of Allah who was created without a human father as a Sign of Allah's Majesty and Supreme Power and Creator!
We just need to clear the confusion about the matter of a being who is created and born to a woman by 'immaculate conception' and the matter of acknowledging the Power of God Almighty, Allahu Akbar ! That's all. No need to have any delusions about it.
8 “‘You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
Visit any masjid on Earth and you will see no icons, no images, no statues of Allah the Almighty.
We have calligraphic and copper toolings of the verses of the Qur'an Al Kareem and the Kalimah's of Allah SWT and the name of the Prophet Muhammad SAW as a decoration only and do not pray towards such items.
The Kaabah in Makkah Al Mukaramah is but an object of focus for mankind to direct their solat to Allah SWT from all corners of the Earth.
The same can't be said for the many statues and iconic images being erected in churches everywhere. Such acts clearly run contrary to the commandment above.
Can any learned Christian out there share their opinions on this? Thank you.
There are those out there who misquote me, think that I am another Muslim terrorist etcetera! :P
Yeah, I too am a 'Muslim Fundamentalist' as Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad proudly proclaims.
I believe in God Almighty and His Messengers, starting from :
1. Our Father :Nabi Adam as 2.Nabi Idris as3.Nabi Nuh as 4.Nabi Huud as 5.Nabi Shaleh as
6. Nabi Ibrahim as 7.Nabi Ismail as 8. Nabi Luth as 9.Nabi Ishaq as 10.Nabi Ya'qub as
11. Nabi Yusuf as 12.Nabi Syu'aib as 13.Nabi Ayyub as 14.Nabi Dzulkifli as 15.Nabi Musa as
16.Nabi Harun as 17.Nabi Daud as 18. Nabi Sulaiman as 19.Nabi Ilyas as 20.Nabi Ilyasa as
21.Nabi Yunus as 22.Nabi Zakaria as 23.Nabi Yahya as 24. Nabi Isa as 25.Nabi Muhammad saw
and also other 124,000 of prophets who have been sent down to Mankind through the ages. I stand guilty of being a Believer , so sue me! :)
Err, did you notice that I also believe in all the Jewish Prophets including Moses @ Musa Alaihissalam (may peace be upon him) and the Noble and Mighty Prophet Jesus Christ the Messiah @ Isa Al Masih ibni Maryam Alaihissalam?
Instead of griping about what I am not, why can't those of you who are blinkered in your views choose to see the similarities between us and not be among those who have a disease, a sickness in the hearts and souls , refusing to seek a better understanding amongst us, Muslims and the rest?
A Christian by the name of Emmanuel has commented to me about the apostasy case in YB Chow Kon Yeow's blog and I find him worthy of dialogue for he has good manners and sense of engaging in decent discussions about matters as sensitive as religion.
This is the kind of people who are mentioned by Allah SWT that amongst the People of the Book @ meaning the true Jews and the Christians who are among those whose hearts are pure in seeking the Mercy of God.
As the Christian King Negus of Ethiopia gave shelter and refuge to the early Muslims fleeing the persecution of the Qureishy Arabs during the Prophet Muhammad's lifetime, so do I believe still exist good Christians who deserve our respect and goodwill when engaging in such discussions.
I welcome such good Christians to share your views in a manner befitting the noble example shown by An Najashi to us Muslims.
There's so much we can share and speak about instead of the useless venom and diatribe I find in some narrowminded vermin online.
May God guide us all. Ameen.
Which Christian or Muslim can deny the essence of Justice and Goodwill that can emit from these if fully practiced by those who claim Moses @ Musa Alaihissalam (may peace be upon him) as among the Prophets whom we are told to honor as among Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala's Messengers?
Excerpts from the Ten Commandments:
Thou shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,
10 but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
11 “‘You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
12 “‘Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the Lord your God commanded you.
13 Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
14 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter or your male servant or your female servant, or your ox or your donkey or any of your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates, that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.
15 You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.
16 “‘Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may go well with you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
17 “‘You shall not murder.
18 “‘And you shall not commit adultery.
19 “‘And you shall not steal.
20 “‘And you shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
21 “‘And you shall not covet your neighbor's wife. And you shall not desire your neighbor's house, his field, or his male servant, or his female servant, his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's.’
22 “These words the Lord spoke to all your assembly at the mountain out of the midst of the fire, the cloud, and the thick darkness, with a loud voice; and he added no more. And he wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me.
23 And as soon as you heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, while the mountain was burning with fire, you came near to me, all the heads of your tribes, and your elders.
24 And you said, ‘Behold, the Lord our God has shown us his glory and greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire. This day we have seen God speak with man and man still live.
25 Now therefore why should we die? For this great fire will consume us. If we hear the voice of the Lord our God any more, we shall die.
26 For who is there of all flesh, that has heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of fire as we have, and has still lived?
27 Go near and hear all that the Lord our God will say and speak to us all that the Lord our God will speak to you, and we will hear and do it.’
28 “And the Lord heard your words, when you spoke to me. And the Lord said to me, ‘I have heard the words of this people, which they have spoken to you. They are right in all that they have spoken.
29 Oh that they had such a mind as this always, to fear me and to keep all my commandments, that it might go well with them and with their descendants forever!
30 Go and say to them, “Return to your tents.”
31 But you, stand here by me, and I will tell you the whole commandment and the statutes and the rules that you shall teach them, that they may do them in the land that I am giving them to possess.’
32 You shall be careful therefore to do as the Lord your God has commanded you. You shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
33 You shall walk in all the way that the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live, and that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you shall possess.
continued from yesterday:
From Question 1:-
- Did you make the Anti Corruption Agency more independent and effective?
As I was saying yesterday, the ACA @ BPR is but another government agency set up with noble intentions to stop the practice of Corruption in this nation.
Good intentions, noble in aims and objective but as all good things and intentions face, implementation rests in the hands of those who are known to be selective and choosy as to which 'fish' they want to catch and haul in.
I don't have to tell you the stories one by one for till Yaum al Qiyamat @ Doomsday, there'll never be an end to those corrupt ones at large.
Selective prosecution seems to be the order of the day, and the wily ol' Tun is all knowing about this too. The way things are being done at the ACA since it's formation , we the people have been seeing how certain VVIP's got away scot free whilst the unlucky idiots in the form of the small and medium fry got skewered just for show. 'Hey! We are doing our jobs...blah blah blah!'
What happened to the one who caused the Perwaja Steel mill to go under?What happened to the MEC? What happened to this and that? Why is multimedia piracy still a major headache in this country? Why did the MRR2 crack in so many places and the perpetrators still roaming free? The list is endless..
Can we put it all down on just that wily old man? Shouldn't those who gobbled up all the lubrication money be brought before the courts and we even hear of the judiciary being tainted with the same maladies! We hear of judges enjoying all paid for overseas trips, etc.
If they want to crucify Tun Dr.Mahathir, then by all means, bring forth the evidence and charge the ex Premier for his 'Executive Decisions' which have any base of corrupt practices. I am sure that the Legal Eagles of the Opposition have their intelligence sources too.
Bring forth your proof and get the Tun by his balls if they (those who are asking him about this corruption cases) have the black and white to substantiate their charges! I am sure none of us the citizens would object!
- Did you ensure that the Police and the Judiciary did their jobs properly and reduce corruption in their ranks?
Just as in the discussion above, the onus on the accuser is to bring and show proof. We are living in a material world and people will only believe in anything if they can see it, touch it, feel it. Matters concerning the physical world need physical evidences to back up the proof of existence.
The root of all these is the rank and file of every organisation. Sometimes, the top management will be so corrupt and they gobble up everything that comes their way and the minions below scramble and fight for scraps that fall off from up above. So, what can we the public or anyone do about it when these are the very institutions who are supposed to be free from sin and malpractice. Sue them? Nahh..wishful thinking.
Over the years, such things become part and parcel of the organisation and you can't scrape it off just at the surface. You can't even revamp the whole system because the habits have seeped into the marrows. Maybe for lip service, you can haul up one or two jackasses who were so blatantly idiotic of being brash about it and thus got fried. You can only grumble and mumble out in all the nations's kopitiams, warungs, coffeehouses and hotel lobbies but the reality is that, it's virtually impossible to combat graft worldwide. It's human nature to enjoy things that they didn't work hard for it. Not like Donna Summer! :P She works hard for the money! :))
- Did you ensure that Cabinet Ministers,Menteri Besar's and Chief Ministers not have income beyond their legal means?
One term in office and you see the fellows lives change absolutely overnight from high class to extraordinary wealthy save for Nik Aziz, the Kelantan MB! That old man just is too comfortable in his kampong house to want to move in to palatial mansions.
If you want to charge Tun Dr.Mahathir for failing to impose financial borders and guidelines to how much wealth can a Cabinet Minister, MB or Chief Minister acquire and have within his or her bank accounts, it will have seen the Tun get kicked off after Term 1 of his premiership.
It's an open secret, isn't it that in politics it is all a matter of mutual wealth accumulation. You close one eye, I close one of mine! You sapu this, I sapu that. The millions of idiotic supporters below can just take a flying leap into whatever suits them.
Dato'Seri Anwar Ibrahim during his periods of wandering in the 'wilderness' often stated the lines below " Yang kaya semakin kaya; yang miskin papa kedana" that means 'the rich get wealthier; the poor become wretched and worser'! As if our dear DSAI is living as a squatter!:P
I have nothing against these fellows living their acquired lifestyles if they have earned it honestly. If they got all these illegally, then there's no Blessings from Allah on to them and their families. Tragedies befall those who rob,cheat,steal and bribe their way up to the upper echelons of high society! The reality is that no matter how high one climbs in the stratas of public life, they will one day be interred in the very bowels of Mother Earth just the same as the millions of ordinary folks when they too die and lay cold and stiff in their caskets!
- How many 'big guns' were prosecuted for corruption offenses during your long tenure?
We all know the status and statistics. No point in asking Tun the obvious. Not that many maa!
- What happened to 'Bersih,Cekap and Amanah'?
It could also mean 'Sapu Bersih, Cekap Makan Suap and Amanah in keeping it all a secret! :P Who is ever going to spill the beans? And for what? You think that anyone who has enjoyed their ill gotten gains is going to be willing to stand there in the witness box and betray himself and others for doing what they did? Mr.Gunasegaram, dream on. The Tun's not gonna talk. It will be a classic Mother of all bloopers if he even gave your query a slightest of thought!
That's it for this morning. Following up on Question 2 later. Selamat bertugas everyone! :)
Tuesday, June 27, 2006
The Edge Group Executive Editor P.Gunasegaram came up with 22 questions for the man in the news lately, the nation's ex Premier, Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad.
The photocopies here were distributed by someone to those of us who attended the recent Dialogue organised by Raja Petra Kamaruddin, Malaysia Today.Net and other NGO's with Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad.
An announcement was soon made not to distribute flyers or pamphlets by the organisers so I figured that these 22 Questions photocopies weren't recognised by them.
Anyway, the Dialogue didn't actually turn out to be a proper dialogue and Tun Dr.Mahathir came out with witty remarks and sarcastic barbs aimed at his successor and the '3rd party' which we all understand to refer to Pak Lah's son in law Khairy Jamaluddin.
Tun Dr.Mahathir as we all know him is a master at handling crowds and playing up to the audience. When written questions were put to him he went through them and only answered those that he wanted to answer; so the 'Dialogue' became a 'monologue'!
I asked him about the 'Islam Hadhari' concept in my question form. Luckily , he did answer mine. :P
I like what he said about the insignificance of Abdullah Badawi trying to come up with a new terminology of 'Hadhari'.
It is as if Abdullah Badawi knows better than the Greatest Messenger of Allah, the Holy Prophet Muhammad al Mustafa, Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam!
The Prophet Muhammad SAW just received one Final Message of Islam from Allah the Almighty. The Sahabahs learned only one Way of Life in Islam. There was no talk of Sunni and Syiah. No madhabs Hanafi,Shafie,Hambali and Maliki. There wasn't a criteria that to preach about Islam, one had to go to Al-Azhar and graduate with a Masters in this and that to pass on the message of the Prophet.
Today, the whole world is full of 'ulamaks' who divide and confuse the masses rather than unite in submission to Allah. Even here in Malaysia, we, the Ummah are divided into so many factions and movements, each claiming to be the right ones. What more can I say about the latest concept being bandied about by our 'ulul amri's' .
For all his excesses and dictatorship, the 81 year old Tun still has his wits about him and refuses to play along with the present leadership.For that I can concur with him on not acknowledging this new fanciful delusion of the current leaders of UMNO being the best in the Islamic world and that they are the 'Khalifah's in coming up with such concepts of 'Islam Hadhari'!
Does that mean , through the centuries , all the awliyas and the anbiyas i wal mursalin are idiots and didn't know nuts about Islam? Such is the tendency of mankind to innovate and try to reinvent something that is already complete and perfect as testified in Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam's Final Khutbah to all Mankind!
Even Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala tells Mankind that the deliverance of the matters concerning the Faith of Islam is complete and that we are to abide by all that the Prophet SAW has passed on to us as per these verse of the Surah Al Mae'dah Verse 3:
"This day the disbelievers despair of prevailing against your religion, so fear them not, but fear Me (God)! This day have I perfected for you your religion and fulfilled My favor unto you, and it hath been My good pleasure to choose Islam for you as your religion (5:3).
On that point, Tun Dr.Mahathir gets my support.
But that's not the end of the story. The 22 questions being posed to Tun should get his attention and God willing, before Tun passes on to the Yaum Al Barzakh ( Realm of Life after Death), he should be man enough to face up to his fellow Malaysians and answer each and every of these reasonable questions.
I have went through the questions being posed and feel that maybe we the bloggers ought to discuss about them too one by one. As citizens , whether we like it or not, our lives have been subject to decisions taken by Dr.Mahathir's premiership through the 22 long years of his being in power.
We have been affected by all his decisions and at this momentous period of our nation going through this 'testing times ', we the people ought to be given the answers by Tun before he returns to the Creator of us all, Allah Azza Wa Jalla!
Let's take a look at:
Question No.1.' On Clean Government. You came to power in 1981 and introduced the slogan"Bersih,Cekap dan Amanah" which means 'Clean, Efficient and Trustworthy'.
- What did you do to further that?
- Did you make the Anti Corruption Agency more independent and effective?
- Did you ensure that the Police and the Judiciary did their jobs properly and reduce corruption in their ranks?
- Did you ensure that Cabinet Ministers,Menteri Besar's and Chief Ministers not have income beyond their legal means?
- How many 'big guns' were prosecuted for corruption offenses during your long tenure?
- What happened to 'Bersih,Cekap and Amanah'?
Now, it is easy for Mr.Gunasegaram or any of us to pose such questions to Tun like this. The consideration is:
'What will we have done if we were (just thinking aloud) in Mahathir's shoes?'
You think it is easy to run a country? Some people can't even manage themselves, what more a family, a small shop,a department, a company, an industry, a district, a state what more a whole country?
There are all kinds of people we have to deal with. Each with their own individual attitudes and personalities. Even in a family, there are all kinds of temperamental stuck up individuals we have to contend with. Some are so freaky that we wish we could strangle the living daylights out of them and some put on a false front of being Mr. or Miss Goody Two Shoes!
I can just visualise the kind of people manning all those government departments and offices.
Haven't each and everyone of us faced the bloody stuckup attitudes of those annoyingly recalcitrant 'Little Napoleons' stubbornly delaying due process and progress of each application, procedure and implementation of things that border from the simplest need to apply for this or that in our daily lives to matters that concern tenders and contracts worth peanuts or up to whatever amounts per situation?
How do you expect Mahathir to answer for each and every bloody individual in all those government offices and departments? It's all a matter of co-operation and delegation of authority.
In some departments, even though you have a decent head of department worth every sen or ringgit that he or she is being paid, there comes the reality of having to deal with all those useless 'office politics' and backstabbing, conniving, sucking up to the bosses, internal warfare and all kinds of shit spewing about those government offices and departments that mess up the system!
We conveniently call it 'red tape' or 'bureaucracy'! Mahathir or any other person (that includes you and me ) can't do nuts about the individual attitudes of all those hundreds of thousands of people who are called 'civil servants'. I don't see anything 'civil' in their bloody attitudes!
~~~ I will be following up on this. Gotta go to a meeting. :P Yeah...face up to the bloody redtape ! Wish me luck that I manage to cut through the mental block some are facing! :)
Catch you all later. Have a productive day. Really! I mean it .
His blog entry happily proclaims his joy that at long last his fight to see to it that Malay Muslims can now easily apostate from Islam is bearing fruit under the Islam Hadhari based current Malaysian government!
WOW!!! And we thought Tun Dr.Mahathir was the 'freemason thinking' everything goes leader!
What a total 360 degrees turnabout for the status of Islam as this nation's bastion of faith!
Chow Kon Yeow must be thanking the 'Elegantly Silent' leadership for at long last opening the door for those Malays who no longer want to be Muslims to queue up and apply to apostate without fear according to what his blog entry under 'Religion' column says.
He quotes the Article 11 of the Federal Constitution relating to 'Freedom of Religion' of Malaysia's citizens.
If you read his blog posting , the answer by the Minister in the PM's Department in charge of Religious Affairs says that as of now, the Negeri Sembilan Islamic Religious Administration Enactment carries provision regarding application from persons who want to get out from their Islamic religion.
The Syariah Court can hear the application to leave the religion and then would make a declaration that the person has renounced his or her religion!
WOW! Is this true? Has this Cemerlang, Gemilang, Terbilang Pak Lah's Islam Hadhari based BN Government really come to this?
PAS MP for Pengkalan Chepa Dato Hj. Abd. Halim Abd.Rahman is reported in Chow's blog that he asked the Home Affairs Minister to state the number of Malays who have applied to change their names in their IC's for the past 5 years and the number of applications approved and their reasons?
According to Chow's blog, 3220 Malays have applied for the name changes in their MyKads from 2001 to 2005 and 2685 applications have been approved!
Lina Joy and others must truly be praising the Islam Hadhari BN Government for being so 'Elegantly Silent' about this latest developments in Bolehland!
Any 'coming out' party for Ayah Pin planned, Chow?
Tun Dr.Mahathir in the recent Dialogue lambasted the idiotic notion of reinventing the Islamic faith by his current nemesis . Wonder what the Tun has to say about this exposure by Chow?
Question: (In your speech just now) Tun mentioned about a corruption case that you asked for prosecution to be carried out before you resigned ?
Tun Dr.Mahathir : I can't mention names..but I'm sure the ACA knows this. There are cases that have been decided to be taken action...but haven't yet. I don't know why?
Question(Agenda Daily): Tun, in your speech just now, you gave the impression that there is a 3rd party influencing the government...can you tell us openly who it is?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: Oh..I don't know. Heard it from people...whether it's true or not, I don't know.
I heard that on Level 4..(in the Prime Minister's Department-Putrajaya). You go and have a look..whether there are tables and chairs..who's there?...an office boy present..from Oxford...from Cambridge..
Question: Are you (Tun) frustrated with Datuk Seri Rafidah's statement that she has given full explanations about everything and won't give any further statements(about the AP's) etc?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: She hasn't given me any explanations!..About why she gave the AP's to her former officers (in MITI) in large numbers? And why those AP's were sold?..now explain that!
Is that in line with the government's stand? She has yet to explain..she just said yes she gave..(the Approved Permit's)...don't ask anymore questions..
(The BN Government) claims to be transparent?...explain then..Why these two persons (Rafidah's ex officers) are still receiving (the AP's) and still importing cars? I know what (car)models that they are importing.
Actually the giving of the AP's to them should be cancelled!
Question: To what extent would you (Tun) act if the explanation given by the government doesn't satisfy you?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: As they say (Malay proverb)..to the core of the wormholes!(to the marrow) It's not only a matter of (giving) explanations!..there's a need to correct whatever is not right!
The bridge(JB-Singapore Causeway)..for example..Why can't we build the bridge in Malaysia? I want to know. If (the Government) says ..can't..I want to question it.
Question(Agenda Daily): When you say that (to the core of the wormholes); will that (Tun's seeking answers) be to the extent of joining forces with the Opposition parties?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: No! I am not involved with the Opposition (parties). I am by myself.
Question: You (Tun) have criticized the Government..people are saying that there are talks of sacking you (Tun) from UMNO?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: He (PM Abdullah Badawi) wants to sack (me)? (Go ahead) sack me! Person with power can sack! Just sack!..What's wrong with that?..I have been sacked (before)!
People did say that when I was sacked before (Tunku's time)...I went up on the PAS platform..whereas the person now (referring to PM Pak Lah) never joined the Opposition..(but still)..tried to topple me (when Pak Lah joined Team B-Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah's camp)..even that I didn't take offense...I took (Pak Lah) back!
So many of those who opposed me before ..I am the one who took them back..gave them positions till they reached the peak (of power)!
I am not bringing up the past...it's okay if there's no (sense of) gratitude!
Question : Looks like in Malaysia , whenever there's a certain issue..that thing cools down fast!
When there's any issue coming up, the people don't bother to check on it ..the matter dies off just like that!
What is your view about all this when in a week or two, people start to forget (about the issues) when something else crops up?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: (Jokingly) That's up to you (the media) to keep it (the issues) hot! Nowadays even though it's being said that the press is free but they erase (issues)..but instead go and dig out dirt about me ...there's lots more...I have carried out mega projects...Ani Arope is angry with me ..
Question: (In your speech just now) Tun said that there is a company that wants to sell sand (to Singapore before the bridge project was cancelled)! Do you have (any) proof?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: I don't have any documents (of proof)..but I do know that to sell sand ; there must be someone getting money..who it is I don't know..
Question: You(Tun) still question the sale of Agusta to Gevi sPA?
Tun Dr.Mahathir : We (Tun) received information from foreign sources ..that Gevi sPA is an absolutely unknown company! We (Tun) do not know about it's background.
Who are the shareholders? What business do they do? Why of all the companies in the whole wide world...they go and choose (Gevi sPA)? That puzzles me!
Explain to me so that I won't be puzzled anymore.
Question : You (Tun) spoke just now (in Tun's speech) about the involvement of Pak Lah's son in law (Khairy Jamaluddin)?
Tun Dr.Mahathir : (With a cynical expression) ..Eh..eh..I didn't say so.. I said 'someone who's highly educated!
Question : You (Tun) spoke of (being a greenhorn) having a runny nose?
Tun Dr.Mahathir : That is about runny noses..lots of people have runny noses!
Question : Tun used to have reserves (replacements) before.
What do you think about people being interested in young bloods absolutely? Is it viable that important positions be given to youngbloods?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: They are very brilliant (youngbloods)! You can't ignore their advice!
Intelligent people ..you can notice them clearly! We can see his writings in the newspapers...extraordinary! I have never seen such writings before!
Question: About your criticisms, will they affect the nation's stability?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: I trust the Malaysian people. They are rational thinkers. ..but when I was the PM, there was a person who challenged me ..to the extent that I was almost toppled..but now it (any challenge to the current PM ) is absolutely out of the question because of preserving stability...don't say even anything (about the government)!
That even those who commit crimes...betray the nation's integrity and honor..I can't criticize..because (they) want stability.
All these (Tun's taking the BN Government to task) will not have happened if (the issues were) answered properly..but here they are (the government) telling the public not to criticize!
Mankind is full of sins...we need to criticize every now and then. Not criticizing at all is not good!
Question: When Tun was the Prime Minister before..Tun Ghafar was the Deputy PM..there was an official who received vetting from the Special Branch (SB)..this person was said to be an agent of a foreign power.
Why was this person not taken action against under the ISA when you were in power before?
NOTE: IT IS BELIEVED THAT THE QUESTION IS REFERRING TO SOMEONE WHO IS NOW VERY INFLUENTIAL IN A LOCAL NEWSPAPER.
Tun Dr.Mahathir: We do not use the ISA that simply just because he is interested in another country...that (being interested in a foreign country) is not an offense.
But if we take him (the person) to rule the nation..then that's wrong! That man is a person who's not loyal to our nation..if we let him be the leader, that's wrong! That's why we didn't allow him to hold the (leadership) position.
But about him being infatuated with whomever..that's his affair!
Question: Many of those present in the event today are made up of those who were your main adversaries before?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: I have spoken to my main adversaries many times before. That's why when I went around, there were lots of questions..there were unfriendly questions!
In one meeting, there were questions as to why I didn't quit my position? (unclear as to what particular position)
I spoke not only to those who were friends but also to people who didn't like me too!
I speak for myself...I don't go and ask my ministers to speak on my behalf (as PM Pak Lah did )
Question: When Tun was the PM, were there any officers not paid by the government but by the private sector to 'work' in the ministries?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: I didn't have..but my Deputy did (have an officer)..salary paid by others but working for him! That's my Deputy ..not me.
Question: Now do you hear (of this)?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: I do hear of this ..but it's a rumour..we can't believe in rumours.
What's your comment about the sale of the AIROD company to Singapore? What's your views about the selling of (it's) shares to Singapore?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: We are free to sell to anyone nowadays! Can even sell this nation to Singapore! we can even sell our honor ..what more about AIROD?
Question: Are you planning to make a comeback?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: No! Absolutely not! 22 years (being the Premier) is enough!
Question: Tun's criticisms (against Pak Lah's Government) has raised doubts in the people?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: You say that there are people who are disturbed with what I say..but I see everyone supporting ..not that they are supporting me! with me everything's not right..and I am not saying anything ...I have already left (the Premiership)...support.(?)
Question: About a writing in the column (Datuk Kalimullah Hassan's writing in the NST newspaper) regarding your meeting with Pak Lah in Japan?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: He reported wrongly. Said I was the one who wanted to meet..not me who wanted to meetup...so everything was arranged by someone who is now known as a spindoctor..like those who want to spin a story to get some benefits.
Those who were useless in the Straits Times have all already quit. They chose to resign..they can't work. They realised that they were useless to be editors. They quit..so those who are at (that newspaper) are all experts!
Question: What do you (Tun) want now?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: That the wrongs are corrected..don't condemn me..don't criticize..because I am the former..no longer the Prime Minister...just be silent..that's all.
So, I want to know why surrender our honor ( by cancelling the bridge project)? There must be reasons. Is it about selling our sands?..I want to know.
Question: You said that Pak Lah reneged from his promises to you! What were those promises?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: He knows...I know.
Question: When were the promises made?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: Just before I let go of the position (Prime Ministership)
Question : Were those promises reneged this year?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: Reneged two weeks after I gave up the post (of PM)..so fast!
I am just sharing the translation here as a social service to those who were not there and want to know what transpired at the press conference between Tun Dr.Mahathir and the media.
The speech of Tun Dr.Mahathir is too long for me to translate into English. Just get hold of the VCD of the 'Dialogue' when it becomes available to the public.
Hope you enjoyed reading the transcript which I have translated exclusively for those who want to be aware of what took place at an event that is absolutely the results of YM Raja Petra Kamaruddin's big heartedness in arranging it all even though he himself was once incarcerated by the ex PM's government for voicing out his thoughts as he (RPK) saw fit without fear or favor and paid a price for it ( by briefly being imprisoned for daring to tell the truth)!
From humble beginnings , Malaysia-Today.Net has grown to be an alternative source for those of us who appreciate news reporting on a more free no holds barred perspective.
Some say, RPK has been 'lubricated' by the Tun with millions to enable this dialogue to speak his piece. Is there any base to this allegations?
Let's wait and see if RPK starts living a lifestyle that befits the 'Rich & Famous' giving credence to the rumours! :P
As RPK himself confessed to me that he doesn't have money to invest in my proposals to him to invest in Canadian Landbanking projects for a major firm from there and that he's just surviving on his pension, I take his word and believe him.
As the saying of Winston S.Churchill goes :
It's bad enough to see Megat Junid seating next to Tun Dr.Mahathir. the former Malaysian Prime Minister.
The sight of the 'Froggie' and potential asskisser in the seat next to Tun is regrettably uneditable for authenticity. So, please bear with it.
Here's the transcript of the press conference which I am translating for you into English. The original is in Bahasa Malaysia @ Malay. I am going to follow the exact manner of their reporting.
Question: Has the Proton Chairman Azlan Hashim explained about the sale of the MV Augusta motorcycle company?
Tun Dr Mahathir : That was not an explanation ; was only repeating what he has said before this especially about the MV Agusta (company). Who's Gevi Spa?...have they even been involved in this (motorcycle) business?
How do they know it's a good business? How was the actual sales process done? Was there any announcement by them that they (Proton) wanted to sell Agusta? Were there other bidders? Did anybody else know about it?
Did they (Proton Management) ask for a price higher than 1 Euro? (RM4.00)
Question: About the speech just now (unintelligible question)?
Tun Dr.Mahathir : I am not happy with some issues. There are several other issues that I haven't voiced out yet...that I am not satisfied..but I don't have to bother about them.
Question: Azlan (Proton Chairman)said he wants to meet Tun but says you are busy ?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: When he was first appointed, he came to see me and discussed about the ways he wanted to manage Proton. He confessed to me that his appointment wasn't to remove Tengku Mahaleel (former Proton Chairman).
He confessed to me. Then he did what he said he wouldn't do. Never informed me (update) ..would have been alright if he even came to ask me .
What's the point of coming to see me? To give me a report?...reports can be just written.
Selling of Agusta they didn't ask me. Did everything themselves. At this moment I don't know who's the CEO because it looks like the Chairman of the (Proton) Board is the CEO.
He decides everything. Apart from Tengku Mahaleel , several persons have already resigned...good people.
Congratulations for launching the new Proton...Satria Neo...but it was supposed to be launched last year...why the delay?
Question: But he (Azlan) had asked for an appointment with Tun?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: He had wanted to meet me. ..but I thought what's the point of him meeting me if it is only to tell me what he has already done? That can be wrote down.
It's okay if he sends to me reporting what he has done. So, what's the point in coming to see me?
I have seen him. He made a confession that he was appointed not to displace the CEO but that's exactly what he has done...So, how am I to trust someone like this?
Question (Agenda Daily): Is there any chances of Tun sitting together with Pak Lah and discussing (matters) amicably?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: Sitting (with Pak Lah) is no problem. ..discussing...can't say. If we are to do anything ; don't do it on a social basis only.
He (Pak Lah) came to meet me (social visit) in Japan...but it was nothing. In Japan (Pak Lah) came to see me when I was about to go to a meeting...for 10 minutes...that's all.
Question(Agenda Daily): A lot of people are asking whether there's no way for this (tiff between Tun Dr. M and the BN Government) to be settled amicably?
Tun Dr.Mahathir : I don't know..there are people more powerful than me...just talk only...(when they) return...it's cancelled.
Question (Agenda Daily) : About the allegations of the former TNB Executive Tan Sri Ani Arope (about the flagrant giving of IPP contracts during Tun's Premiership) would Tun (be willing to) answer?
Tun Dr.Mahathir : I won't answer! now go and seek out all that happened during my time...to disgrace me! Go and dig out (information from) Ani Arope...dig out (info from) Syed Ahmad Aidid (former Supreme Court Judge)...search for more..there's lots...I know (sarcastically) ...lots of sins...22 years (his premiership).
To know whether (you have )freedom or not..criticise the present (government)...can criticize or not?...but we shall all see..we support...no need to publish in the newspapers...we use all (?)...line up all the ministers..we support...just raise up your hands!
Why go and ask them (former ministers) one by one..(their opinions)?...waste of time only.
Question : Tun Musa Hitam (ex Deputy PM) says Tun are having the post losing power syndrome?
Tun Dr.Mahathir: He thinks we are like him..he's the one suffering from that sickness.
That's the reason why I had to give him a job. When he quit ( as Tun's Deputy)...even though he tried to topple me (from power)..I chose him to be sent to the United Nations...appointed him to many positions.
I (after resigning as the PM) never asked for any positions..except to be the Advisor. As Advisor, i didn't even ask to be paid but this Petronas are very bad (jokingly) ...give me money! Proton don't pay me even a sen!
~~~continued tomorrow. :)

The young ABIM President Yusri Mohamad was there at the Dialogue session organised by Malaysia Today.Net and NGO's for Tun Dr.Mahathir this morning at the Kelab Century Paradise, Taman Melawati, Hulu Kelang, Selangor.
I spoke with him and shared my concerns about the growing social problems amongst the Ummah.
He is a Lecturer in Law and heading the Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia, our nation's foremost Muslim Youth Organisation.
ABIM is the organisation where former Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim made his mark in the arena of Islamic Youth activities and eventually caught the eye of Tun Dr.Mahathir , the UMNO President and Premier.
Rather than let the charismatic young Anwar Ibrahim join PAS, Tun Dr.Mahathir successfully influenced DSAI to join him in UMNO and groomed the influential youth leader to be his successor. History records the meteoric rise of DSAI and his subsequent fall from power to being a reformist leader with an agenda to climb up the rungs of political aspirations in this nation!
This is my photo with the Deputy President of PAS, the Islamic Party of Malaysia.
Ustaz Nasharuddin Mat Isa is the symbol of PAS's new leadership who are willing to change for the better as he has shown by showing up with his colleagues at an event of their former nemesis and adversary in the form of Tun Dr.Mahathir, UMNO's ex President and former Premier.
That speaks well for PAS to want to shed their ego's and come listen to what the 'enemy' has to say about affairs concerning the nation.
This is my photo taken with a renowned Ulamak of Malaysia, the respected Islamic Scholar Al-Ustaz Muhammad 'Uthman El-Muhammady, a 'Tokoh Ma'al Hijrah', and a Very Distinguished Academic Fellow of the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilisation (ISTAC) based in the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM).
It's an honour for me to be in the company of such a distinguished scholar. May Allah SWT bless him and grant him the best of health, 'ilm and wealth. Amin ya Rabbal Alameen.
This is myself recording a photographic moment with the well known writer in Harakah, PAS's official newspaper, Mr.Subky Latif.
He has been writing a column in Harakah known as 'Min Aina Ila Aina'. I used to read Harakah before when I was living in Penang and following his writings.
After a while , one tends to get sick of reading just 'bad news' from a newspaper which neglects to really portray the true image of the Islamic advocacy of inviting to the truth and balanced reporting of events and circumstances that take place in our nation.
So, I stopped reading Harakah and just browse the online edition if I feel like it. The writers need to be fair when reporting or writing about the true picture of life here.
Subky Latif is a fair viewed person and his writings are alright. I wish him well.
Tun Dr.Mahathir emphasising a point during his after Dialogue coffeebreak with VIPs from his former Cabinet such as Tan Sri Megat Junid, former Proton CEO Tengku Tan Sri Mahaleel, PAS Deputy President Ustaz Nasharuddin Mat Isa, PAS Vice President Datuk Husam Musa,PAS Youth Head Salahudin Ayub, PAS Central Committee Member Mahfuz Omar,etc.

There was a full house crowd at the Paradise Hall, Kelab Century Paradise, Taman Melawati, Hulu Kelang, Selangor this morning, attending Tun Dr.Mahathir's Dialogue with Malaysia Today's and NGO's event.
Quite surprising to see a large number of PAS top guns and also Parti Keadilan Rakyat's Saifuddin Nasution seated up front to hear Tun Dr.Mahathir's side of the latest scenario concerning the BN Govt's acts of cancelling projects he started.
We can never forget the old adage that tells us about politicians who prove to us time and time again that in their chosen careers, there's no permanent friends or enemies. Today's worst enemies will turn to be their best associates and vice versa.
I applaud the present PAS leadership who have made an effort to forge ties and reestablish the enjoined 'Silaturrahim' with UMNO's former President whom the past PAS leadership abhorred with a passion that alienates them from the Malaysian citizenry.
Ustaz Nasharuddin's willingness to lead his team change their mindset for the better will see PAS making inroads into Malaysian's hearts. Well done. Where there's a willingness to put the ego's to rest, the future for mankind will definitely be better.
YM Raja Petra roped in all the NGO's and even political parties and held an exclusive dialogue with the former Malaysian Premier at the Century Paradise Club, Taman Melawati, Hulu Kelang, Selangor this morning.
It was a full house with overflowing crowds who came to see and hear for themselves what Tun Dr.Mahathir had to share about the latest news.
Even the PAS Deputy President Ustaz Nasharuddin, 3 Vice Presidents , former Cabinet Ministers, VVIP's, NGO's like ABIM,UIA Islamic Scholars, MT regular bloggers such as yours truly and individuals took the opportunity to ask him questions and to listen to his off the cuff explanations as to why he has taken the present BN government to task for kowtowing to the whims and notions of an Oxford graduate pulling the strings of the puppets in power today!
Malaysia Today is posting the videos taken during the dialogue at it's website.
Many issues were raised by the participants and posed to Tun Dr.Mahathir who in his usual point blank and witty remarks poured out his feelings and reasons in his answers.
Among the various topics Tun Dr M spoke about was the way the Cabinet ministers are blindly expressing their total support to the current PM!
Blind support by the ministers for no other reason than that the fellow they are supporting is the Prime Minister! They will support just anyone who becomes the PM! It doesn't matter whether the fella is this or that, as long as you become the Prime Minister, we will support you!
No questions asked! Total support, a 1001% ! Hidup ..............................(just fill in the blanks)!!!
Frankly speaking , I feel Tun Dr.M already knows that the ministers from day one have been carrying his balls for the very same reason that they have to protect their own interests.
It comes as no surprise to me for the same apple polishing culture exists in any organisation what more in government ministerial positions where kickbacks and side incomes are the order of the day and once in power , the future for these fellas and their generations are already secured with millions and millions filling up their coffers forever.
We were then told by Tun Dr.M about the lies that the BN Government is pushing down our throats that the Government doesn't have money!
Profits from Petronas of more than RM80 billion just last year saw the Government's coffers being swelled by more than RM30billion in taxes alone and then again, who owns Petronas if not the Malaysian Government itself?
From a RM2billion startup capital from the Government, Petronas has been making tonnes of money from its operations in 36 countries worldwide and is the main moneymaking machine for the government!
Tun further said that he knows where the government is stashing its billions and if they still claim not to have money, he can show them where the money is himself!
He said if it's true that all the mega projects that he carried out during his premiership was a waste of funds, just imagine a scenario where you take away all the infrastructure that he helped the government build in the name of development out of the country!
Remove the North South Highway, remove the KLCC, KLIA, LRT's, Monorail, Putrajaya,etcetera! Imagine the country without all it's modern infrastructure!
Imagine the country without the national automobiles! What kind of a lifestyle would the citizens of this country be living in?
You need to watch the videos in full to catch the full essence of what took place this morning at the Kelab Century Paradise!
He then went on to spill the beans about Pak Lah's 'Elegant Silence'! The main reason is none other than that our Mr.Prime Minister listens to Khairy Jamaluddin, his son in law who is the puppet master behind the PM's Department! He kept referring to KJ by speaking of 'Oxford Grad' in his lambasting Pak Lah! The media were having a field day! :D
The crowd just loved all the exposes being thrashed out by the Tun! Shouts of support rang out from the audience and thunderous applause broke out with each of the Tun's disclosures about the powerplay in our nation's BN Government!
PAS leaders surely loved each and every morsel of info coming out of the Tun's mouth! And to think that just 3 years ago, these same fellows were calling Tun Dr.Mahathir as 'Mahafir'aun', 'Mahazalim', etc! :P
As they say about politicians; "Yesterday's sworn enemies, today's chummy buddies"! or at least they are trying to be in Tun Dr.M's good books!
He spoke about the bridge project connecting JB and Singapore. Works on the project had already started when he was still the Prime Minister. The present Cabinet Ministers were in his government when the project was started. None of them objected back then. Total support!
Even Singapore didn't object back then and there was no conditions laid down by them when the project was mooted by the Malaysian Government under Dr.Mahathir! Lee Kuan Yew accepted, Goh Chok Tong said it's okay and there was no talk about Malaysia having to supply Singapore with more than a billion cubic metres of sand, allow the Singapore Air Force to fly its fighter jets over Johore airspace, etc!
Within months of him stepping down and handing over power to Abdullah Badawi, the bridge project was shelved by the present BN Cabinet for reasons that certain parties who stood to make millions from the contract, were unable to do so for reasons that are considered 'top secret', etc.
The double track project for the KTM was also shelved by the present government. Proton from a RM500 million startup capital by the Government, has made more than RM30billion for the government. He says he doesn't understand how the previous Proton management which made so much money for the government could be replaced by the government and now causing Proton to be in the red?
Perodua now makes so much more money than Proton. Who's responsible for this ?
He also spoke about the AP's. He says how the Ministry of International Trade and Industry abused the allocation of the AP's to a couple of persons only. To learn more about the details of what he said, I suggest you to go watch the videoclips in full at the Malaysia-Today.Net.
There was so many things he spoke about that I would be taking so much time to fully write about all the matters he shared. The man is truly extraordinary as a speaker. He can just go on and on like that although he is now 81! Talk about stamina and focus of mind.
You hear Abdullah Badawi talking in his raspy croaky voice on TV and you want to reach for the remote for the sheer run of the mill 'Cemerlang, Gemilang, Terbilang' rhetoric sort of makes you want to puke! Don't even start to think about the difference between the two men. Miles apart!
Same goes for the next in line. To date, none of the cabinet ministers have the oratory skills of the Grand Old Man of Malaysian politics!
For bloopers, tantrums and saliva spewing bullshit, we all know who are the fellows you can expect to dish out that kind of stuff! The acronyms start with LKY and SV. Figure it out.
To sum it all up, I loved being there and got to meet YM Raja Petra in person. Also got to share some ideas and plans with the PAS leadership, ABIM's President, UIA's Scholar Ustaz Muhammadiy, etc.
Thanks for making this happen YM Raja Petra! Alhamdulillah.
Looking forward to our MT Bloggers Meetup. Insyaallah.

The average Americans in cities such as New York are known the world over to be the originators of foul speech and rude behaviour and they themselves disagree with the Readers Digest recent poll as to the rudest cities on the planet as shown by the Discussion column in Yahoo News today!
I am not saying that Americans at large are rude but based upon the years of exposure to the American media onslaught upon the world and seeing the crude behaviours of the world's youths today aping the decadent lifestyles being pushed upon the ever impressionable youngsters of this planet trying to out American each other in their manners and 'lifestyles'!
I'd say that this is a lame excuse for Readers Digest to boost it's circulation and to champion America's image when it is reviled from every corner of the world for its terrorising the planet under the George W.Bush Jr's imperialism in Iraq, Afghanistan and the rest of the world!
If they are so polite in New York, then all those rising crimes in the 'Big Apple' must be pure fiction, being reported by the worldwide media.
People in New York are known to be the victims of robberies, muggings, hold ups, assaults, rapes, pickpocketed, etc. A crime takes place within every few minutes in New York.
Even fellow American tourists are victims as shown here!
The reason people walk so fast in the streets of New York is because they are afraid of getting mugged and most avoid eye contact with others on the streets of the 'Rotten Apple' , I hear from my friends and relatives who have been there and from the newspaper reports from the USA itself.
To say, Kuala Lumpur is 3rd rudest city on the planet is simply a biased view from those who choose to look for the negative angles instead of really coming to terms that rudeness exists in all people all over the world!
If one is unfortunate to run into the rude persons anywhere in the world, then it is not right to assume that the particular location where one encountered such bozos is a lousy place and that city or village is full of rude persons!
I say it depends on circumstances. The Americans themselves lambast the notion that New York is the most polite city in the world as we can see in the Discussion column in Yahoo News!
Look for the Discuss link at the bottom of the page and click on it to read the discussions on it!
Based on the chart here, we can see that the crime rates in NY are dropping but it reflects that NY is not exactly free from crime due to the citizens there becoming more polite!
New York is mostly made up of people coming to live and work there from all parts of America.
Tourists make up a large number of people who are in the city at any given time. Those Readers Digest 'undercover reporters' are just looking at the scenario with a biased view that everything's 'A okay' with the place because they didn't run into the actual New York residents living in the Bronx or New York's infamous ghettos!
Maybe I am just being cruel myself for 'believing' CNN, NY Times, etc and making up my slanted opinion that New York is just another Rotten apple not worth the accolades being dished out to it by its own 'Pollyanna' grandmother's feel good magazine!
To read a foreign news report that the city where I am currently living in as being the 3rd rudest city on the planet just peeves me up.
Maybe it is true that KLites are not the best folks of Malaysia and that they are stuck up's thinking that they own the country and drive on the highways as if they own the bloody roads or are superior to the rest of the people of Malaysia!
Driving with a KL number plate and zooming past the other more sedately driven vehicles on the numerous highways of the Malaysian peninsular reflects the bloated ego's of the KLites who don't give a damn about the local pakcik or makcik cruising along in their Proton Saga's or Kancils on the North South highways might give weight to the notion of KL not being reflective of Malaysia's claiming to be 'Truly Asia', Land of Smiling Folks, etc.
To be on the realistic side, it is a bit true that Malaysians nowadays are not exactly Tourism Department propaganda material.
Most Malaysians who drive on the highways do tend to be rude, toss out rubbish onto the highways and roads without a second thought!
Smokers do flick off their cigarette butts without a care!
Many Malaysian motorists do litter the roads!
Just take a look at the Malaysia-Singapore Causeway! Based on my own experience living in the island republic and travelling to and fro from Singapore to JB!
The Singapore half of the Causeway is spick and span and looks cleaner because it is constantly being washed and swept regularly and not a tiny piece of rubbish can be seen on the road.
Singapore has the best sanitation system and workers in this part of Asia! It's a 100% true!
It's different on the Malaysian side of the Causeway! Cigarette butts, empty cans, etc litter the side of our causeway! It's due to the Malaysian 'tidak apa' attitude!
If asked about their littering habit, most Malaysians try to 'smart mouth' by saying that if they didn't litter, the sweepers of Alam Flora or any other sanitation contractor will have nothing to do!!!
Just visit any of the hawker centres, markets, food courts in KL and the rest of the country and what do you see? Rubbish, filth , wastes just disposed off at the back of their unhygienic stalls or dumped indiscriminately as they please!
It gives me the shudders to think about the local stallholders and foodsellers lousy attitudes when it comes to matters of cleanliness and hygiene! You really need to be aware of that matter!
The local government enforcement officers don't do their jobs and even the DBKL @ Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur employees are infamous for slacking in their duties!
They only seem to come alive when the local YB or VIP is scheduled to visit the place! Hordes of the DBKL workers then turn up in their lorries and start to spruce up the filth laden places!
Hypocrites and 'drama swasta' actors who try to portray the false image of keeping up to their roles in taking care of the places they are paid to keep clean!
Maybe I need to accept that KLites are not really all that rosy as I and many others are led to believe by all the local media propaganda! Maybe it is true that people in KL ought to be labelled as such by the foreign magazine.
Wonder what the Readers Digest of Malaysia has to say about this 'branding' of the nation's capital city folks?
Do you agree? KL folks the 3rd rudest on the planet?
Damn!..There goes the Tourism Malaysia's imagebuilding efforts all these years! :P

I came across this headlines in the Kosmo daily newspaper yesterday highlighting the controversy surrounding Adlin Aman Ramlie's sidewinger advice "Jangan Hisap Ganja!" @ 'Don't Smoke Ganja!' to one of the AF4 contestant, Faizal from Terengganu who had just sung a popular 'Ganu Kita' song with it's original singer, Saleem!
Saleem was the lead singer of the group 'IKLIM' and was convicted and jailed for various crimes such as drunk driving where he killed an army personnel and then incarcerated for drug abuses especially for smoking 'ganja' @ marijuana!
It's pretty outrageous to see the former druggie take offense at Adlin Aman Ramlie's barbed comment to Faizal , the AF4 contestant for the reality is that Saleem is where he is now due to the marijuana abuse!
Tch! tch! tch! tch!...talk about being a 'mimosa pudica'!
Malaysian artistes and singers think they are above the law and the public should just close one eye to all their shenanigans and screwup's!
They indulge in all kinds of corrupted vile acts in the socalled lifestyle full of ritz and glamour!
Adlin Aman Ramlie voiced out the obvious and just so happened that the former drug addict was up on stage live on Astro satellite tv cavorting with a very popular AF4 contestant from Terengganu singing the druggie's anthem song which he popularised way back in the 80s to 90s!
If Adlin hadn't lambasted the fella, this former druggie would have come across as a comeback star and all those naive Malay idiots all over the country engaging in drugtaking would be saying' Hey! It's okay to smoke ganja! Look ! There is Saleem, who is well known as a ganja smoker up on stage with the Akademi Fantasia 4 contestants! See...he is alright! Ganja is harmless, just a weed, etc!'
The nation is already plagued by a very large number of Malay youths incarcerated in the Drug Rehabilitation Centres all over the country and a very strong message must be sent out to the impressionable youths of the Bolehland!
Malay youths are the most easily influenced youth in this land! Sexual abuse, drug taking, petty criminals, social dropouts, loafers, lepak kings and gum/glue sniffers consist mainly of Malay youths! Chinese and Indians are also abusing themselves but not as much as the Malays!
Adlin Aman Ramlie was maybe not being polite when he lambasted the former druggie live on TV but his message was crystal clear!
You do not mess up your life with taking ganja , ended up destroying your name and your life , then think you can just mosey your way back to be in the spotlight and think all's well that ends well!!!' No sirree!
Drug addicts have only themselves to be blamed and they should face the facts that they did screw up!
Adlin Aman Ramlie ought not to be apologising but he did anyway as demanded by 'Rastafari Joe'!
The audacity for the fella to demand a public apology from Adlin for stating the very obvious!
What a humbug!
Nang bu ti nang , kui ..tiok tiok eh tua kui ! :D
Hor ee lang sii, ho maa! Kiam lui ey! :P

As we can see in the picture, behind 'Pak Lah' is the one who cried crocodile tears when Tun Dr.M announced his decision to call it quits as the PM a few years back!
Another one is looking at his watch thinking when is this fella going to throw in the towel?
Malaysia is a land full of spineless politicians both in the BN and also the Opposition! They will twist and turn, spit and lick , do anything to save their skins whilst burrowing themselves deep into the current 'big shark's ' skin and sucking up to him, without any shame or remorse!
I recall one particular 'froggie' politician who proclaimed that he's willing to kiss Tun Dr.M's arse to prove his full support for the former Premier! Where is he now?
All the fellows sucking up to Pak Lah at this moment were the very ones who pledged allegiance to Tun Dr.M all those 22 years when Tun Dr.M was the big honcho!
Today, the very same 'Remora's' shamelessly suck up to Pak Lah repeating the very same pledges of support to him whereas in their filthy slimy opportunist hearts, they curse and spew their hatred of Mr.Elegantly Silent for being so hesitant in taking direct action on matters that are burning fiercely in the grassroot's citizens hearts and souls.
MIC President Dato Seri Samy Vellu aptly puts it when he said' If I put up a donkey for election and give the donkey my support and backing, the donkey will win!'
Guess who's the donkey with Samy Vellu's full endorsement? No prize for winners! :P
Rafidah Aziz, Nazri, Shahrir Samad, Lim Keng Yaik, and company all pledged their full undying support to Mahathir back then!
Today, all these Remora's are singing a different tune! Pak Lah be aware! Never trust the Remora's for even one fleeting second. The minute something unexpectedly changes the scenario, hello!!!...these Remora's would not waste a micro second in switching camps and go pledge their loyalty to the new 'big shark'.
Believe it or not? You better believe it!
All those banners being sprung, all those 'I love you Pak Lah! Hidup Pak Lah! We are with you a 100% Pak Lah !' is all the manifestations of those whose hearts are sick!
Stricken with the severest cases of hypocrasy that no antidote except Death can cure! The masses of kiss your ass legions swarming around you are all there for no other reason than that you are the PM currently!
As Samy Vellu puts it, any donkey in your seat will be heralded as 'Bapa this and Bapa that' for no other reason than that you hold the purse strings to the billions that they have their eyes upon and drooling from the corners of their lips and slimy mouths, that reek of kickbacks and corruption, cronyism, nepotism, etc.
Its the same the whole world over but over here in Bolehland, these fellas have turned the art of sucking up to PhD levels.
Remember Pak Lah, the minute you slip up, the Remora's will suck you dry and then flip flop their way to the new top leader or in this case 'bleeder'.
Malaysia Boleh!!! Lingkop if there are Remora's everpresent in our political system!
