Part of the Do'a Iftitah

"Verily my solats, my ibadah, my life and my death I surrender to Almighty Allah, Creator and Lord of all the worlds. Never will I associate anything with Him. So am I commanded and I am of those who are Muslims."

Surah An Nahl (Chapter 16 Verse 125) Holy Al Quran Al Kareem.

" Invite (all Mankind) to the Way of your Lord (Islam) with Wisdom and Beautiful Preaching and Reason (discuss, argue, debate) with them ( Non Muslims and Muslims -deviant, innovators, liberals, alike) in a Way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Knower of those who are guided."

The Power of Prayer - Our Connection with Allah!

Assalamualaikum. May Peace be Upon You.

Living in these turbulent times causes many of us to succumb to our trials and many who have not built up a strong self confidence end up very hurt, distressed, confused, lost and get into worse situations by doing harmful things to themselves.

It is important to fortify ourselves with the Knowledge that we have a Friend in Allah.

Our God and Creator who loves us and is only a prayer away. I am not joking. Those who are in constant prayer and in contact with Allah, Ar Rahman, Ar Raheem, are those who survive these challenging times and get to live their life's with peace and contentment with what they have .

Do not despair yourselves into thinking that this life is just meant to torture and not to nurture.

We have all the facilities given to us by the Most Merciful who allows us free will to seek Him out.

He is always monitoring us and knows us inside out. No other being on Earth or any of the other realms of existence knows as as He does. He created us . He is our Maker. He doesn't refuse us when we seek His Help.

Yes, there are time when we feel as if we are all alone. The reality however is that we are never alone. We are always accompanied by two Malaikat's @ Angels.

They are Raqib on our right and Atid on our left. Raqib records each and every good thought or deed that we do and Atid records our bad deeds.

We are all in constant monitoring by Allah the Almighty and His Angels. We are not alone at any one time. No one is.

Every living being is constantly being watched and taken note of by Allah and our ascribed pair of Angels.

Have good faith in Allah and reach out to Him. You'll be alright. Insya Allah.

Time To Pray
By GULEN, M. Fethullah

We use prayer to turn to the Eternally Merciful God, present ourselves to Him, and ask Him to meet all of our needs.

We entreat Him humbly and submissively, fully aware of our status as weak, poor, and needy servants who are not self-subsistent.

Thus prayer is a necessity arising from our belief, trust, and full confidence in the Lord, as well as our understanding of Divine Unity.

Within this framework, servants become engrossed in a combined feeling of fear and hope.

Away from the sight of others, we supplicate from the heart only to God, and pray in secret.

This sentiment, which is reflected in The Quran Chapter 7:55, describes an essential element of prayer that we must observe while praying.

However, only the Legislator can permit and encourage this attitude at various times, and only He can determine the degree to which it is allowed.

God enjoins us to pray to Him only, in fear as well as full of hope and to know that His Mercy is with those whose hearts beat with the consciousness of His constant supervision over them. (7:56)

He even shows us the door toward which we should walk, and teaches us the rules and principles of how to wait in front of it.

Turning to God all the time and in every condition, opening our hands in supplication, and revealing our concerns and problems to Him are all an honor and an initial prize.

In addition, they are very significant initial steps taken to earn a favorable response from Him.

He states: If my servants direct their wishes to Me, they must know that I am closer to them than anything else.

I respond to the prayer of those who turn to Me with prayers. (2:186)

However, there is a condition: All of these prayers and supplications are to be performed as indicated in: You pray from the heart with utmost sincerity and seeking God's pleasure. (7:29, 40:14, 65)

Instead of praying when among people, as if showing off to others, we should entreat the All-Knowing God, Whose hearing and seeing is worth far more than any person's, by sighing in secret and with utmost sincerity, in complete privacy so that we are closed to others but open to Him.

Meeting these conditions will enable us to implore Him with the alchemy of secrecy, and will prevent our voices and sighs from being fouled with the sparks of irrelevant thoughts.

No one returns empty-handed from His court. In fact, those people who pour out their deepest needs and desires, and present such personal grievances about themselves only to Him, are drawn closer to Him.

They have to ask the One Who can meet all of their needs, just as they have to complain to a doctor who can heal their illnesses.

Each servant who enters the Nearest One's Presence is required to be in possession of his or her self and in full control of his or her speech, vocal vibrations, and groaning.

Moreover, each servant's mind, intelligence, and senses must be in a receptive state.

Loyal servants frequently filter their thoughts and supplications through their intentions and sincerity, for they strive to keep their expressions and feelings free of any disturbance.

They become like mute people so that no one can hear them, to such a degree that they even become jealous of their own voice and words.

In addition to being sincere while praying, servants should search for moments and seconds during which their pulses beat with the remembrance of God.

They should make full use of holy days and nights, for these are the times when divine blessings pour forth.

Especially when it is time to pray and to break the fast, all prostrations and bows should be performed in such a way that not even one second is wasted.

Loyal and sincere servants are expected to fulfill these obligations, for doing so is essential for the prayer to be accepted.

As all such servants know, a prayer may be answered either positively or negatively, or circumstances may become favorable or unfavorable.

Believers in God do not mind if summer is as cold as winter, if spring seems to resemble autumn, or if days become as dark as blind graves.

Who cares about darkness when God reminds us of His All-Encompassing Power:

Who saves you from the darkness of the land and the sea when you pray in destitute?! (6:63)

Who cares about such things when God makes His Existence known in their conscience by saying:

Who else, other than God, accepts the prayers of the poor and takes care of their problems?! (27:62)

The Qur'an is the Divine Book that guides us through existence, interprets events, and interprets both the macro and micro worlds.

It is the language of the World of the Unseen in this life; a contract of divine blessings for humanity; and the essence, essential nature, glory, and light of Islam.

As if that were not enough, it is also the map for the worlds of the afterlife, a means of happiness for believers, and a book of prayer.

The Qur'an introduces a prayer by glorifying Him, and then asks to be set on the straight path as it sets off, sprinkling its most brilliant jewels with Surat al-Fatihah.

Next comes Surat al-Baqarah, which calls us to pray by means of implicit expressions of prayer, raising its voice with the tune of its explicitness, and teaches us what to ask from God:

"Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter." (2:201).

After a few pages, it shows us the greenhouses and shelters in which we can shelter while facing difficult conditions and asking for help:

"Our Lord, pour down upon us patience (endurance), make our steps firm (make our foothold sure), and help us against the unbelievers." (2:250).

The last verse of this surah points to the following prayer, which is a gift from the Prophet's Ascension and which should be repeated constantly:

"Our Lord, do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, do not lay on us a burden as You did on those before us. Our Lord, do not impose upon us that which we have not the strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us protection, and have mercy upon us. You are our Patron, so help us against the unbelievers". (2:286)

The next surah, Surat Al-Imran, also starts with and reminds all believers of a very significant prayer:

"Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate now after You have guided us. But grant us Mercy from Your Presence, for You are the Grantor of bounties without measure". (3:8)

A few verses later on, we are invited again with an allusion to the prayers of the pious, who supplicate with the following cries:

"Our Lord, we have indeed believed. Forgive us, then, our sins, and save us from the agony of the Fire" (3:16) and : "Our Lord, we believe in what You have revealed and we follow the Messenger, so write us down with those who bear witness". (3:53)

These draw our attention to the supplication of Jesus's apostles, who also are filled with a sense of responsibility.

Right after this comes a gift of prayer from the mouths of the devout ones, the scholars who gathered around the Messengers and strived : "Our Lord, forgive our sins and anything We may have done that transgressed our duty. Establish our feet firmly, and help us against those that resist faith". (3:147)

The section of contemplation toward the end of the surah ends with a wish for a good end :

"Our Lord, lo, we have heard a crier calling unto faith : "Believe in your Lord!" So we believed.

"Our Lord, therefore forgive our sins, blot out our evil deeds, and make us die the death of the righteous (3:193).

Those who shake fearfully, thinking that they have treated themselves unjustly, pray:

"Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves. If You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, surely we are of the lost (7:23) and remind us through a distinctive cry that unleashes tremors into our souls.

Our Lord comprehends all things in knowledge. In God do we put our trust. Our Lord, decide with truth between us and our folk, for You are the best of those who decide (7:89) whispers a unique style of entreaty of a submissive Prophet who murmurs establishment of justice with full confidence, asking for God's action against an extremely impertinent disbelieving society.

In accordance with the context, the Qur'an frequently presents examples of the Prophet's supplications, sighs, and pleas for help.

For example: "You are our Guardian, therefore forgive us and have mercy on us." (7:155);

"O our Lord, do not let us be subjected to the persecution of the unjust people" (10:85);

and "There is no god but You, glory be to You. Surely I am of those who make themselves to suffer loss. (21:87)

Hundreds of Qur'anic verses call us to interrogate ourselves, plea, and complain about our evil features.

Such verses reveal that prayer is a source of strength for those in charge, a fountain of absolution for those who have committed sins, a solution for the needy, a hand extended to help those struck by disaster, a key to a treasure for the poor, a doctor for the sick, a breeze of hope for the desperate, and a dispatch order of a gift for the oppressed and the victim.

The Qur'an always points out that prayer and humble supplications lead to salvation from worldly problems and concerns with the Hereafter, and that those who see (the Book) with the heart and murmur with the soul are traveling toward and praying to God.

In parallel with the Qur'an's prayer-colored horizon, the life of Prophet Muhammad, the Sultan of Prayer, is a lace work adorned with entreaties and supplications.

He would open hands, turn to his Lord, overflow with thanks and glorification, bow and double himself up in prayer, and constantly supplicate to Him.

He did this throughout his life: when he woke up in the morning, lived until the evening, and stood in God's Presence at night; while performing the ritual ablutions and daily prayers, observing these prayers (each a heavenly ascension), listening to the call for prayer, and during and after each prayer as a means for getting closer to God; while eating, going to bed, traveling, returning from a campaign, confronting an enemy; and while experiencing worldly or heavenly disasters and surprising events, witnessing miraculous events, suffering from illnesses or troubles, and when concerned or pleased with something.

Prayer books give more details about all of his prayers and supplications.

Prayer is a mysterious key to His everlasting treasures, a point of support for the poor and hurt, and the most secure shelter for those in distress.

Those who step into this shelter are considered to have obtained this key, and the poor, weak, and needy who join this governance attain that for which they had hoped.

The inhabitants of the heavens carry along the sincere prayers of such needy people, who are deprived of any other solution.

These destitute people, who are in a state of desolation and demise, know what they are asking for and are aware of what they are doing.

They turn to Him and unburden themselves of all thoughts. Such prayers would make the heavens burst into tears; hurricanes threatening the world would change its course, waves overturning everything would calm down, and peace would rise on the horizon.

Broken fault lines would surrender to unexpected rulings, and released gases would easily evaporate into the atmosphere.

The breeze of such a prayer enlivens the Earth and brightens the skies. Hearts beat with exhilaration, and nature rises in order to dance and to send forth smiles.

Through prayer, people offer their sacred requests, which are beyond causes, to the Most Glorified One, and acknowledge that God see whatever is hidden or open.

Humanity, as well as the jinns and the angels, pray to Him, especially about issues that subjugate their strength and control, and expect a remedy from Him.

However, such a remedy is forthcoming only if we take all of the required measures and fulfill all of the necessary conditions.

"O Remedy for all in need! Send us a light from Your presence for those suffering in darkness, especially these days, when there is no means left to resort to, social circumstances are in complete disorder; when only the tyrant's voices are heard everywhere and the people sway and bump into obstacles. Extinguish the fires of tyranny and injustice with Your Infinite Power, destroy the Devil's homes, and place inescapable collars around the necks of the evil ones.

We are not exposed to the winds of inspiration any more, the enthusiasm in our hearts has been subdued, and a stammer has started to appear upon our tongues.

Send us a reviving breeze from Your land of Mercy. Raise our hopes and goodwill for You to the borders of Your Mercy, give us faithful excitement, and accept us as hopeful supplicants thereof. Untie our tongues so that we do not commit another sin.

We are wronged, fallen, and devastated. Never have we been so far from You. Never have we entered such depths of failure. Never have we been so without You.

O Shelter for the miserable, Power Source for the weak, Physician for the ill, and Truthful Guide for the lost!

Once more we take refuge in You and unburden ourselves to You. We have been chasing after useless things and longing for the fulfillment of ridiculous dreams.

Those whom we approached with hope and in whom we trusted never even looked at or paid any attention to us.

No one but You have heard our voices and caressed our heads.

Our feelings have been mocked, and our thoughts have been regarded as crimes. So many places have been sabotaged, fires of mutual separation have been inflamed, and all of what has been committed now hurts the purity of the faith.

Broken-down feelings, clumsy behaviors, souls in the dirt, feeble feet, paralyzed hands Most of us have lost all hope ! The weather is foggy-gray with haze ! People in the West are filled with longing ! People in the East are in need of Your blessings.

We have come to You in such chaos. We are neither the first nor the last to come.

Your Mercy is the door of hope for those who regret, and we are pitiful beggars in front of this door.

Until now, all who have waited by Your door have returned with a blessing, and no fugitive or repentant person has ever been rejected.

It is Your door, and thus it differs from others because only it opens upon the forgiveness that You bestow upon all those who wait by it.

Strengthen us with Your mildness and peace. Make Your Existence heard by the tyrants.

O the Sultan of the exalted throne Who answers all prayers!

Thousands, hundreds of thousands of us stand in Your Presence now.

Opening our hands to You and knocking upon Your door of mercy, which is always open or at least ajar, we sigh.

We believe from the depths of our hearts that You see and watch over everyone and everything, that You show compassion for every praying voice and person.

Therefore, we ignore our disobedience for the time being, imagine our sins washed away in the falls of Your Mercy, and disregard our faults while regarding Your forgiveness.

If You exist You are the only One who exists on its own! We cannot be deserted.

If You are our companion, then who cares about the wilderness that surrounds us on all sides?!

As long as You are together with us, it does not matter even if Satan and his followers are everywhere.

You are the one and only Sovereign over everything, and Your ruling cannot be overthrown.

You see the smallest thing, hear the most silent sound in the domain of Your Sovereignty, and do not discard anything or anyone without a reply.

Yet again do we present ourselves at Your door, which is as large as Your Mercy, with the capacity that You have given us to ask from You, and with the belief that You will grant us our wishes.

You know our situation, and so what we are going to tell You is just a small part of Your Knowledge. Give us a remedy for all the troubles that we have suffered from for centuries.

O Most Merciful, Most Compassionate, accept our prayers!

The Oceans - A Wonder for Mankind by Kathleen St. Onge

Assalamualaikum dear Muslims and May Peace be upon all others. Ameen.

On this Blessed Maulid ur Rasul @ Birthday of Our Eternal Guide and Prophet above all other Prophets,Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam, I wish to share with you an excellent article written by Sister Kathleen St. Onge.

This article expounds on the wonder of the Oceans, God's gift to us and the continuous source of precious cycle of water and life to gazillions of life forms both in and out of the water.

Seeking knowledge and then sharing it with others is a tradition of excellence from the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam who has left us the Treasury of 'Ilm in his oceans of hadiths and his Sunnah @ Example.

It is incumbent upon us as rational , thinking human beings to add to our knowledge and teach others whatever good authentic material we come across.

Let's leave this world our contributions of continuity in this noble tradition of sharing knowledge.

In a way, what we have before us is a fantastic platform of spreading such useful information throughout the world by utilizing the internet and a tremendously effective form of networking.

Let's read what Sister Kathleen has to share with us about the Oceans, Allah's Gift to Mankind.

A Wonder for Mankind
By St.ONGE, Kathleen

The waves are lapping the hull of Noah’s boat.

Far beneath, in stages of darkness, the ocean world lives on through the flood, for the heavy rains only make it grow in richness.

It is a sublime world, vastly different from what lies upon the surface of the earth.

It is the avenging world Solomon rode, the wind at his command, across his blessed dominion.

It is the generous world of fishes, by which Jesus sustained a nation in endless benevolence.

It is the preserving world of Jonah, his life entrusted to a creature whose haunting calls pierce the infinite deep.

It is the unique world of Moses, where only by a miracle did feet touch solid ground.

And it is the glorious world of pearls and corals, enticing to the wonders of the most magnificent kingdom.

The ocean is, as God is, great, merciful, subduing, gathering, enriching, distressing, providing, responding, mighty, strong, firm, majestic, patient, powerful, and incomparable— the manifest and the hidden—and the honorable trustee of our origins.

And in its embodiment of so many attributes of the Lord Himself, the ocean is a compelling witness to the mystery and mercy of our world.

Chapter 55 of the Holy Qur’an, “Ar-Rahman,” which speaks directly of the greatness of God and the inherently divine secrets of the ocean among the wonders of creation asks, “Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?”(55:13)

And in the only such instance in the entire Qur’an, the simple line is repeated 30 times more in close succession, its verses becoming, like the ocean itself, a harmonious rhythm on the hulls of our hearts.

There is much to learn if we dive in, for the ocean is deeper than the earth is high, comprising all but a fraction of the planet’s habitat space, and it is three times bigger than all of its surface.

At its utter depths, creatures carry on their lives 20 miles below where we carry on ours, swimming past caverns and mountains greater than any on earth.

It is a world strangely devoid of insects and a forbidding place, the centre of volcanic activity, deadly waves and whirlpools, and the fuel for hurricanes and tornadoes.

Yet it is also an inviting place, the main source of protein and water on our planet and the biggest supply of hydrocarbon fuel, buried deep into sediments.

It is the most ideal solvent in all of creation, allowing fine organic materials to dissolve evenly, for heat to be sustained and distributed, and for precious minerals to flow in suspension—billions of ounces of gold floating, imperceptible to our eyes.

It is also the most ideal conductor, carrying electric currents, sound and magnetic waves to refined organs around the sea, conveying information we ourselves cannot detect.

And while the ocean renews itself through ice ages every 40,000 to 100,000 years, it somehow harbors creatures which have remained virtually unchanged for 500 million years.

It is the guardian of life on this earth, the source of half of all of the oxygen we breathe, and one quarter of global heat.

It is, layer upon layer, a dynamic medium in which the most curious creatures dwell, from the upper zone of light, to twilight, to the eerie realm of glowing fishes, to devastating cold and pressure, to the very bottom, where eyeless creatures thrive in endless darkness, in cities atop stores of buried diamonds.

It is beyond our imaginations to fathom the scope of life forms inhabiting the ocean.

In an average week, three new species are discovered—though less than one-tenth of one percent of the sea has been studied.

The Census of Marine Life, involving 70 nations for a decade, counted 130,000 mollusc's from 3000 species in a single three-cubic-meter zone off New Caledonia.

In one tiny region near Angola, there were 1000 new species.

At the very bottom of the ocean, near thermal vents, more than 300 new species were found in an area measured in inches.

And in the light zone, over 50,000 different species of algae exist—the first plants on earth—as well as tiny plankton, protozoa and krill.

Krill alone create, by sheer numbers, a dramatic manifestation of life, moving in masses of up to 10 metric tones—equivalent to 150 million people traveling in unison through the ocean.

Alive, they nourish creatures as majestic as the blue whale, which consumes millions in a single day—as some of the smallest in the sea feed the largest animal which has ever existed on this planet.

Dead, they add their microscopic carcasses to the snowfalls which descend through the ocean layers.

For on the earth, water falls—but in water, it is earth that falls: organic matter, sand and pollen is gathered into blizzards, forming blankets inches deep, thousands of times richer in bacteria than anywhere else, becoming the spark by which all ocean-floor communities come to life.

As tiny as each individual is, plankton communities blossom with the season of the ocean currents which carry them, producing more carbon per square meter than a sugar cane field, and enticing waves of animal migrants to follow them in a constant cycle of life around the earth.

In abject innocence, we witness the tides by which the moon’s and sun’s gravity grasp and release our liquid earth each day, and the massive tsunamis which devastate the habitats of more than half the world’s population who live close to a coastline.

But most waves are actually far below the surface, away from our gaze, stirring the ocean this way and that—deflecting water in spirals to the right in the northern hemisphere, and to the left in the southern hemisphere—adding to the effect of gravity to generate and distribute food and heat.

Through these hidden motions, more water is redistributed than by any surface action of water—the Gulf Stream alone moves 100 times more water than all the rivers on earth—as the engine of life on this planet is propelled far beyond man’s restricted vision.

And outside man’s scope, too, fish move from place to place, sometimes only a few kilometers, sometimes thousands, in the second biggest migration after that of birds.

The leatherback turtle crosses the Pacific Ocean along invisible highways, and the spiny lobster marches across the ocean floor, his community lined in single file, navigating by means of an internal compass sense.

Countless species of fish move between salt water to fresh, or between river and ocean, in precise orchestration.

They gather in vast numbers thanks to a marvel of creation—the lateral line system—which allows them to sense the position of their neighbors, feel tiny differences in water pressure, and hear even the lowest frequency sounds.

Spending their lives in groups—schools—they secure safety in numbers and reduce water friction on each other, easing their motion.

So important is this co-operation that young fish train for it, in pairs, then in larger groups, until perfect harmony of motion is achieved.

And in a refinement of the system, sharks, rays, skates, and dogfish can detect small electrical fields between body fluids and seawater, favoring them as hunters for 450 million years.

The environments in which sea creatures move between are as varied as the ocean is deep.

There are wondrous forests of kelp—jungles beneath the waves—anchored by hold-fasts to rocks below, gas bladders holding each leaf upright, reaching dozens of meters high through the light layers.

They provide the perfect home for sea cucumbers, sea stars, sea urchins, sponges, and fish—forming a complete ecosystem—and coming in countless varieties.

Yet these astounding giants are surprisingly fragile, for only ten in a million reaches adulthood, and their life span is short, only half a year, death coming at the rate of half a meter per day—a bold symbol of the strength and weakness of all life.

There are also the magnificent coral reefs, the largest of which, the Great Barrier Reef—2000 km long— is the only living structure visible from outer space.

Building life from death, reefs use the remains of hard corals to make homes for thousands of species of fish and hundreds of species of coral, sometimes rising more than 100 feet off the ocean floor.

Reefs are sensitive to touch and delicate enough to be killed by slight temperature changes, yet they have survived as structures for millions of years, through countless ice ages.

Some coral even emit a soft blue light, transforming the seascape into a surrealistic panel of brightly colored fishes swimming through a fluorescent porcelain-like forest, providing for man an inimitable example of incomprehensible beauty.

And yet, they are not the only pair of animals perfectly engineered to secure each other’s lives, for the sea harbors the most numerous and unusual partnerships.

Angler fish host bioluminescent bacteria in a lure which they dangle in front of them, attracting prey.

The boxer crab lives in the claws of the deadly anemone, discarding bits of food for it and enjoying the protection of the tentacles.

Goby fish use their excellent vision to guard the burrow of the blind and highly toxic sea urchin, sharing the space without risk.

Imperial shrimp ride on sea cucumbers like passengers on a bus, getting on and off, while the pearl fish lives in the intestines of the sea cucumber during the day, obtaining food removing parasites, coming out the anus every evening.

The isopod, Cymothoa Exigua, eats the tongue of the rose snapper and becomes a replacement tongue in order to share meals.

The ephemeral Portuguese- man-of-war—almost perfectly translucent to the light—forms a floating habitat for a myriad of creatures who somehow orchestrate their life as a unit.

And throughout the sea, a universal color of blue (“cleaner blue”) is manifested by a huge variety of species to show that a fish is ready to clean the parasites of another— the ultimate cross-cultural communication—as temporary partnerships ensure mutual survival in the forbidding dark.

But perhaps the ability which most holds our fascination that of making light—the only light in the deep ocean.

Tiny krill alone have over 10 complex light emitting organs.

Species differ greatly in the nature of the flash as complex chemicals interact in a process strangely reminiscent of photosynthesis, such that the sunnier the previous day, the brighter the glow.

The color is almost always blue—the wavelength which travels farthest in water and that to which most organisms are sensitive.

It is a profound reminder of the blue light that reverberates across the ocean and provides the distinctive hue by which we paint our globe.

Viewed from space, the image is enough to awaken any heart.

The American astronaut, Edgar Mitchell, revealed: “My view of our planet was a glimpse of divinity.”

And James Irwin, another American astronaut, echoed the sentiment: “Seeing this has to change a man, has to make a man appreciate the creation of God, and the love of God.”

And in this place where light is such an elusive and precious gift are the most perfect eyes in all of creation—the squid’s, refined for millions of years, and the mantis shrimp, with more than a dozen photo receptors, light filters, and trinocular vision.

Beckoning us even further to contemplation, the life forms here are surprisingly sentient, graced with uncanny abilities to learn and communicate.

The octopus develops strategies for dealing with new problems and changes body color to reveal its mood, while the reef squid produces dozens of patterns, bands, stripes and spots, for communication.

Killer whales have a variety of calls—some shared, some unique to the group, and even pod-specific accents, and the beluga’s hearing is a dozen times more sensitive than the human ear, with individuals having their own unique voices.

In turn, the blue whale’s call carries up to 1000 kilometers through the ocean to its mates, exceeding the decibel level of a jet.

Dolphins protect their snouts with sponge bits when diving among sea urchins, and they play at blowing bubbles, the “ring culture” passed from adult to novice.

And in a superb demonstration of community-building, dolphins rise to the surface in pods, vocalizing to reach a consensus before any group action.

Perhaps most revealing of all, orcas grieve over parents who have passed on, revisiting their favorite places in the days after the death—their lives resonating with compassion and awareness.

Let us return to the hull of Noah’s ship, for as the ocean is wide, Prophet Noah unites the People of the Book across the boundaries between Islam, Christianity, and Judaism.

And as the ocean is deep, Noah’s story extends through our entire lives—as the ark and its animals entice us from childhood, and the Prophet’s personal reflections on God and creation are with us as we find ourselves aging, as he did, contemplating the vast expanse of the ocean and of our existence: “Worship God! You have no other god but Him.” (Araf 7:59, Muminun 23:23)

The ocean is, ultimately, both the cradle of life on this planet and an apt reminder of its end.

Symbolically, the palace and temple of Cleopatra—probably the most quoted example of a person who seemingly had everything in this life—was recently discovered under water.

Her entire city, Antirhodos, was buried by floods and tidal waves around 334 AD, and soon after, Cleopatra, an avowed polytheist, committed suicide.

For the gifts and power we ascribe to ourselves are but a drop in the ocean of God’s greatness, and our lives are sure to come to nothing if we fail to honor our Creator and our purpose.

Curiously among the ruins was a bust of a Pharaoh—perhaps her father, Ptolemy XII, or perhaps an older Pharaoh she much admired—who is now both saved in the body (Yunus 10:92) and drowned (Qasas 28:40, Zukhruf 43:55).

In fact, the ocean bottom is littered with abandoned hoards and the relics of lost peoples— fitting testaments to man’s inability to control the world in which he has been placed.

But far more meaningful than any sunken jewels are the pearls of knowledge which the ocean delivers.

For in the deepest waters are manifested two of the highest revelations: life is a mystery beckoning our understanding, and creation is an unbounded mercy.

Thus, the ocean is offered as an exquisite and accessible proof that our world is divinely orchestrated.

And just as the ocean encompasses the globe to connect us all, we each have the chance to touch its bounties and surrender to faith. So, then, which of the favors of our Lord can we deny?

So dear readers,

We need to realize that whatever is before us , that we can see with our eyes , sense with our sensory organs which Allah the Almighty has blessed us with, to appreciate this life and strive to improve ourselves in all areas.

No doubt, many of us are suffering from want and experience heart wrenching , stressful moments in our life because of our low finances and miserable circumstances.

We do however have before us , endless opportunities that are right here waiting for us to choose and to focus our energies towards attaining whatever we need and we want.

It's all a matter of choice that God gives us but we are not left to wander on our own without Guidance from Him, Our Lord and Creator.

We have with us today, an immense galaxy of knowledge that our forefathers weren't able to access.

The Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam enjoins us to seek knowledge even if it takes us to China. 'Utlubul 'ilma wa law fis Sin'.

In the times of the Prophet, traveling to China was a challenging ordeal of either sailing by ship or overland which would have posed many trials to the 'mureed' @ knowledge seeker.

China is a cradle of knowledge , from ancient times till today and the Prophet Muhammad SAW acknowledges the country by this famous hadith.

Seek knowledge dear brothers and sisters. Teach it to others. Leave a legacy of love and friendship. Take the good from what you see and come to know.

Study all that you can and do good. That's gonna be your contribution to mankind , preserved and appreciated till the end of Time. Insya Allah.

Let's honor Our Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam by offering the Salawat upon his blessed self as much as we can on this glorious anniversary of his birthday.

'Allahumma salli ala Muhammad..wa ala alihi Saiyidina Muhammad!'.

Prophet Muhammad is the Mercy of God for all Mankind

Wassalatu Wassalamu Ala Saiyidina Muhammadin Nabbiyyil Ummiyi Wa Ala Alihi Wasahbihi Wassallim.

Assalamu Alaika Aiyyuhan Nabbiyyil Kareem, Rahmatulil Alameen.

Sallallahu ala Muhammad . Sallalahu alaihi Wassallam. Sallalahu Ala Muhammad . Sallalahu Ala Muhammad. Ya Nabi Salam Alaika . Ya Rasul Salam Alaika . Ya Habib Salam Alaika . Sallalahu Ala Muhammad.

The example of the Prophet Muhammad (May Peace be upon him) is the embodiment of the Qur'an itself as a living example of piety and obedience to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Here are the proofs of his prophethood to all Mankind.

Prophet Muhammad in the Old Testament

Almost all the previous Prophets predicted the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings. Despite the changes they have undergone over time, we can still find indications to his coming in the Torah, Psalms and the Gospels.

A Prophet from among the brothers of the Israelites who resembles Moses

For example, the following verses of the Torah promise the coming of the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings:

The Lord said to me [Moses]: ‘What they say is good. I will raise up for them a Prophet like you among their brothers; I will put My words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. If anyone does not listen to My words that the Prophet speaks in My Name, I will Myself call him to account.’ (Deuteronomy, 18.17-9)

It is clear from these verses that what is meant by ‘a Prophet like you among their brothers’ is a Prophet who will come from the line of Ishmael, since Ishmael is the brother of Isaac, who is the forefather of Moses’ people, the Children of Israel.

The only Prophet who came from the line of Ishmael after Moses and resembled him in many ways, for example, in the bringing of a new law and waging of war on his enemies, is the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings.

Also, the following verse of the Bible in Deuteronomy, 34.12 (Istanbul 1885), clearly states that no Prophet like Moses did ever appear among the Israelites:

With respect to his virtues and awesome deeds, no Prophet like Moses, whom the Lord knows face to face, no longer appeared among Israel.

The Quran points to the same fact:

We have sent to you a Messenger as a witness over you, even as We sent to Pharaoh a Messenger. (al-Muzzammil, 73.15)

The sentence, I will put My words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him, in the verse in question, means that the promised Prophet will be unlettered and speak whatever is revealed to him. God reiterates the same fact in the Quran:

He does not speak out of [his own] desire. It is but a Revelation revealed. (al-Najm, 53.3-4)

The Prophet who shone forth from Mount Paran

The following verse,

The Lord came from Sinai and dawned over them from Seir; He shone forth from Mount Paran. (Deuteromony, 33.2) refers to the Prophethood of Moses, Jesus and Muhammad respectively, upon them be peace.

Sinai is the place where the Prophet Moses spoke to God and received the Torah. Seir, a place in Palestine, is where the Prophet Jesus received Divine Revelation.

Paran is where God manifested Himself to mankind for the last time through His Revelation to the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings.

Paran is a mountain range in Makka. It is mentioned in the Torah (Genesis, 21.19-21) as the area in the desert where Hagar was left by her husband Abraham, upon him be peace, to live with her son, Ishmael. The well of Zamzam appeared in it.

As is stated explicitly in the Qur’an (14.35-7), Abraham left Hagar and Ishmael in the valley of Makka, which was then an uninhabited place within the mountain ranges of Paran.

The verse in Deuteromony, according to the Arabic version published in London in 1944 and the Ottoman Turkish version published in Istanbul in 1885), continues:

He came with myriads of holy ones; in his right hand appeared to them the fire of the Shari‘a.

This verse refers to the promised Prophet, Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings, who would have numerous Companions of the highest degree of sainthood.

The fire of the Shari‘a alludes to the fact that the promised Prophet would be allowed, and even ordered, to fight against his enemies.

Other verses in the Old Testament:

In the Psalms of David, there is the following verse:

O God, send to us after the interregnum (after the latest of the successive prophets) one who will establish (Your) way.’1

Here, ‘one who will establish (Your) way’ refers to the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings.

The following verse is from the Gospels:

A verse from the Torah says:

Surely God said to Abraham: ‘Hagar will certainly bear children. There will appear from her sons one whose hand will be above all, and the hands of all others will be opened to him in reverence.’2

Another verse from the Torah:

And He said, ‘O Moses, surely I will raise up for them a Prophet like you, from among their brothers (that is, from among the children of Ishmael); I will put my Word in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I Myself will call him to account.’ (Deuteronomy, 18:18-19.)

A third verse from the Torah:

Moses said: ‘O my Lord, I have found in the Torah a community, as the best of the communities, that will be raised for (the benefit) of mankind; they enjoin the good and forbid the evil, and they believe in God. Let it be my community!’
(God) said: ‘That is the community of Muhammad.’3

This is a verse from the Psalms:

O David, a Prophet will come after you, named Ahmad (Muhammad), the Truthful and the Lord, and his community will be forgiven.4

From the Seven ‘Abdullahs, ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amr ibn al- ‘As, who made extensive studies of earlier Divine books, ‘Abdullah ibn Salam, who was the first to embrace Islam from amongst the famous Jewish scholars, and the renowned scholar Ka‘b ibn al-Akhbar from amongst the foremost scholars of the Israelites, all pointed out the following verse in the Torah, which was not then corrupted to its present extent.

The verse, after addressing Moses, addresses the Prophet to come in the following strain:

O Prophet, verily We have sent you as a witness, a bearer of good tidings, a warner and a protection for the unlettered. You are My slave; I have named you ‘the Reliant on God’, who are not harsh and stern, and not clamorous in the marketplaces; who do not repel the evil with evil, but instead pardon and forgive. God will certainly not take away his life until He straightens a crooked nation by means of him (by causing them) to proclaim ‘There is no deity but God.’5

Another verse from the Torah states:

Muhammad is the Messenger of God; his birthplace is Makka, he will emigrate to Tayba, the center of his rule is Damascus, and his community are unceasingly occupied with praise of God.6

In this verse, for the word Muhammad, a Syriac word meaning Muhammad is actually mentioned.

Another verse from the Torah:

You are My slave and Messenger; I have named you ‘the Reliant on God.’7

This verse is also addressed to a Prophet who will emerge after Moses from the progeny of Ishmael, the cousins of the children of Isaac.

Here is another verse from the Torah:

My slave is a ‘chosen one’, who is not harsh, nor he is stern.8

The meaning of ‘Mukhtar’, a chosen one, is the same as ‘Mustafa’, a name of Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings.

The Prophet who will come after Jesus is referred to as ‘the Master of the world’ in several places in the Gospels. (John, 14:30)

This verse of the Gospel, which has come to describe him,

With him is an iron staff with which he will fight, as will his community.9

indicates that a Prophet will come with a sword to wage Jihad. In agreement with this verse of the Gospel, the following Qur’anic verse at the end of Sura al-Fath (Victory), which refers to some other verses of the Gospel as well as the one mentioned above, also states that his community, like him, will be under the obligation of waging Jihad.

And their similitude in the Gospel is: like a seed that sends forth its blade, then makes it strong; it then becomes thick, and it stands in its own stem, filling the sowers with wonder and delight, so that it fills the unbelievers with rage at them. (48:29)

In the Torah, there is the following verse:

The flags of the holy ones are with him, on his right. (Deuteronomy, 33:2) 10

In this verse, the Companions of the Prophet are described as ‘the holy ones’, that is, his Companions are blessed, righteous, saintly friends of God.

In Chapter 42 of the Book of Isaiah, there are the following verses:

Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my spirit on him and he will bring justice to the nations. He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice; he will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his law the islands will put their hope. (Isaiah, 42:1-4)

These verses are certain to describe the Prophet Muhammad, who would come in the last phase of human history.

There are the following verses in Chapter 4 of the Book of Micah:

In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and peoples will stream to it. Many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up the mountain of the Lord, to the house of God. He will teach us His ways, so that we may walk in His paths.” (Micah, 4:1-2)

These verses obviously describe the Mount Arafat, the most blessed mountain of the world, and the nation of Muhammad, upon him be peace, together with the prayers and praises that would be offered by the pilgrims who would flock there from all climes.

The following verses are from Chapter 72 of Psalms:

He will rule from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.

The desert tribes will bow before him and his enemies will lick the dust.

The kings of Tarshish and of distant shores will bring tribute to him; the kings of the Yemen and Seba will present him gifts.

All kings will bow down to him and all nations will serve him.

For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no-one to help.

He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death.

He will rescue them from oppression and violence for precious is their blood in his sight.

Long may he live! May people ever pray for him and bless him all day long.

May his name endure for ever; may it continue as long as the sun. All nations will be blessed through him. and they will call him blessed. (Psalms, 72:8-17)

These verses describe the Prophet Muhammad, the Pride of the World, in a very clear way.

Since the Prophet David, has a prophet come other than the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace, who has spread his religion from east to west, to whose name many rulers pay tribute, and whose way so many obey with deep adoration for him, and on whom one fifth of mankind call, every day, God’s peace and blessings?

Is there anyone who fits this description other than the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings?

Prophet Muhammad in the New Testament

More emphatically and more frequently than any other Prophet, the Prophet Jesus, upon him be peace, gave the good tidings of the Last Prophet, upon him be peace and blessings.

The Capstone in the Gospel of Matthew

Jesus said:

Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes?

Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed.’ (Matthew, 21.42-4)

The ‘capstone’ mentioned in the verses cannot be the Prophet Jesus for the verses refer to the crushing victories that the followers of the ‘capstone’ will win against their enemies.

No people were ever broken to pieces or crushed because they resisted Christianity. Christianity gained ground against the Roman Empire only after it had lost its original identity and been reconciled with Roman paganism.

The Western dominion over the world came after scientific thought’s triumph over the medieval Christian view of nature and was realized in the form of a ruthless colonialism.

Whereas, Islam ruled almost half of the ‘old’ world for many centuries as a religion in its original purity and its enemies were many times defeated before it.

In its struggle with other religions, Islam has always been successful. It is, again, Islam which is on the rise as both a pure, authentic religion and as a way of life, and which is the hope of salvation for humanity more than that, the Prophet Jesus himself alludes to this fact by stating explicitly that the kingdom of God will be taken away from his followers and given to a people who will produce its fruit.

Second, in a telling detail recorded in a hadith in the Sahih of al-Bukhari and that of Muslim, the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings, describes himself as the ‘capstone’ completing the building of Prophethood.

Paraklit, the Spirit of Truth

In the Gospel of John, Jesus promises the arrival of the Last Prophet using a variety of names:

But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the ‘Paraklit’ will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment. (John, 16:7-8)

In these verses, the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings, is referred to as the Paraklit.

Paraklit11 is a Greek word meaning the Distinguisher between Truth and Falsehood. Although Christian interpreters have given this word different meanings such as Counselor (Gideons International) or Helper (American Bible Society) or Comforter (the Company of the Holy Bible), and claimed that it refers to the Holy Spirit, it is impossible even for Christians to establish whether the Holy Spirit has come down after Jesus and done what Jesus foretold he would do.

If, according to Christians, the Holy Spirit is the Archangel Gabriel, he came many times to the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings, to bring Divine Revelations. Further, Jesus mentioned and predicted the Paraklit with other different names, but the same function, as is seen in the following verses:

When Paraklit comes - the Spirit of truth - who comes from the Father, he will testify about me. (John, 15.26)

I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to me by taking what is mine and making it known to you. (John, 16.12-14)

I will not speak with you much longer, for the Prince of this world is coming. And I posses nothing of him. (John, 14.30)

Who has come after Jesus other than the Prophet Muhammad, as the Comforter who has comforted human beings against fear of death, against worries about the future, against spiritual ailments of all kinds?

As the Helper, who has helped mankind to attain real peace and happiness in both worlds? As the Prince of the world, who has ruled almost half of the world for fourteen centuries, and who has become the beloved of billions?

And as the Spirit of truth who testified to Jesus, brought glory to him by declaring his Prophethood against the denial of the Jews and false deification of him by Christians, and restoring his religion to its pristine purity through the Book he brought?

What shortcomings do the Western Christians attribute to the Prophet Muhammad, in contrast to Jesus and other Prophets, that, while almost all of the Christians of the ‘Middle East’ believed in him and converted to Islam within a few decades of his death, they persist in their denial of him and offer no justification?

Mawlana Jalal al-Din al-Rumi, a great Sufi saint, expresses in the following stanza the good tidings of the Prophet Muhammad by the Gospel:

In the Gospel Mustafa is mentioned with his attributes, in him is the mystery of all the Prophets; he is the bringer of happiness. The Gospel mentions him with his external form and features, and also with his personal virtues and Prophetic qualities.

In spite of the changes they have been subjected to over time, the Old and New Testaments still contain references to the Prophet Muhammad, only some of which we have quoted. The late Hussayn Jisri found one hundred and fourteen such allusions and quoted them in his Risala al-Hamidiya.

Note

In the books of other Prophets, God’s Messenger, upon him be peace and blessings, is mentioned with such Syriac and Hebrew names as correspond to Ahmad, Muhammad and Mukhtar.

In the Pages of the Prophet Shu‘ayb, upon him be peace, his name is Mushaffah, meaning Muhammad.

In the Torah, he is mentioned as Munhamanna, which means Muhammad, and as Himyata, meaning ‘the Prophet of al-Haram’.

In the Psalms, he is named al-Mukhtar, and again in the Torah, al-Hatam al-Khatam.

Both in the Torah and the Psalms, he is referred to as Muqim al-Sunna, which means the one who establishes and enforces the Divine way for mankind.

In the Pages of Abraham, upon him be peace, and in the Torah, he is mentioned as Mazmaz, and again in the Torah, as Ahyad.

God’s Messenger himself said, My name in the Qur’an is Muhammad, in the Bible Ahmad, and in the Torah Ahyad.

In the Bible, he is also referred to as ‘the Possessor of the Sword and the Staff’.

In-deed, among the Prophets who carried the sword, the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings, is the greatest one, who was also commanded to perform Jihad together with his community.

The Gospel refers to him also as the one who wears a crown. What is meant here by crown is turban, and it is the Arabs who have worn headcovers with a wrapper around them since ancient times. Hence, the reference is undoubtedly to the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings.

In the tomb of Shamun al-Safa, the famous traveler Awliya’ Calabi saw the following verses in the Gospel, written on a gazelle hide: ‘I’tun (A youth) Azribun (from the progeny of Abraham) peruftun (is to be a Prophet.) Law ghıslin (He will not be a liar.) Bent afzulat (His birthplace is Makka;) ki kalushir (he will come with righteousness;) tunuminin (his blessed name) mavamid (is Ahmad Muhammad.) Isfedus (His followers) takardis (will prosper in this world,) bist bith (and also in the next.)

Certainly, Jesus frequently gave in the Gospels the glad tidings that the most significant leader of mankind would come, and mentioned him with some names in Syriac and Hebrew, which mean, as observed by meticulous experts, Ahmad, Muhammad, and Faruq (who distinguishes the truth from falsehood).

1.Although it does not exist word for word in the present editions of the Bible, it is recorded in Hujjat Allah ‘ala al-‘Alamin fi Mu’jizat al-Sayyid al-Mursalin by Yusuf Nahbani, p. 104.

2. Although it does not exist word for word in the present versions of the Bible, it is recorded by ‘Ali al-Qari in his Sharh al-Shifa’, 1:743.

However, we read in the Torah, the following verses:

I will make the son of the maidservant (Hagar) into a nation.(Genesis, 21:13). Hagar, lift the boy up and take him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation (21:18).

3. ‘Ali al-Qari, al-Shifa’ al-Sharif, 1:746.
4. Ali al-Qari, al-Shifa’ al-Sharif, 1:746.
5. Bukhari, Buyu’, 50; I. Hanbal, Musnad, 2:174; Darimi, 1:14-15.
6. Darimi, 1:14-15; Abu Na‘im, Dala’il al-Nubuwwa, 1:72.
7. Kastalani, al-Mawahib al-Ladunniya, 6:192.
8. ‘Ali al-Qari, ibid., 1:739.
9. Yusuf Nahbani, Hujjat Allah ‘ala al-‘Alamin fi Mu’jizat al-Sayyid al-Mursalin, 105.
10.This is almost the same in many versions of the Bible, i.e., in the one published by The Bible Company established in Istanbul, but we come across a different translation, if not an alteration, in the version published by Gideon International, which reads: ‘He came with myriads of holy ones from the south, from his mountain slopes’ (Deuteronomy, 33:2).
11. Paraclete is originally a Greek word. According to Webster’s New World Dictionary, it derives from the Greek word parakletos meaning intercessor, advocate, pleader.

However, Abidin Pasha, a nineteenth-century scholar from Yanya,Greece, who knew Greek very well and whose works on Greek literature were highly praised by Greek authorities, writes that the origin of Paraclete is piriklitos, meaning Ahmad, the one who is much praised. (Hussain Jisri, Risala al-Hamidiya, 59).

We also read in the Qur’an that Jesus predicted the Prophet Muhammad with the name, Ahmad, a synonym of Muhammad (61:6).

Christians assert that by Paraclete Jesus means the Holy Spirit, but it is questionable what connection the Holy Spirit has with interceding, pleading or advocating, which, in fact, refer to the main attributes of the Prophet Mu-hammad, upon him be peace and blessings, even though we accept that the word drives from paracletos.

Besides, it should also be noted that translators of the Gospels intentionally refrain from writing Paraclete and, instead, they prefer to translate it, but all differently.

Also, Jesus gives good tidings of the being to come not only with the name of Paraclete but also with such names as ‘the Prince of this world’ and the ‘Spirit of truth’, and with many other functions, which must, of course, belong to a Prophet, not to a ‘spirit’ or angel.

Malaysia will be an Islamic State ONLY when PAS rules!

Malaysia will be an Islamic State in all it's entirety ONLY when the Government of the Kingdom of Malaysia is ruled by PAS, the Islamic Party of Malaysia.

The Constitution of this nation will no longer be of that colonial legacy drafted and penned by this nation's former British Masters but will be the Final and the Last Testament of Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, the Holy Al Qur'an Al Kareem. Insya Allah.

Contrary to what the fearmongers as in the likes of our 'learned' legal eagles of this land would have you believe, the Divine Laws of Allah the Almighty as ordained in the Holy Qur'an will not deprive anyone of his or her rights when the courts rule exactly as Commanded by Our Creator.

Understanding and implementing of the Quranic Laws need to be administered strictly as per the provisions laid down by Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and not bended and twisted by vested interests of the rulers of the land.

We all know how the Holy Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam promised to judge Fatimah Radhiallahu Anha, his own daughter by the (Hudud) Laws of the Qur'an if ever the Blessed Lady , May Allah's Blessings be upon her, broke any of Allah's Laws.

Faultfinders and recalcitrant elements out there will always refuse to acknowledge the just and exact punishments or rules of God Almighty through the passage of Time, so we can always expect opposition and objections by those who will face persecution if ever the Quranic Laws are to be upheld and made to be the Supreme Constitution of any country here on Earth.

I dare say that since the times of the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam and the Rightful Caliphs of Islam, Saiyidina Abu Bakar As Siddiq (RA), Saiyidina Omar Al Khattab (RA), Saiyidina Othman ibni Affan (RA) and Saiyidina Ali ibni Abi Talib (RA), the administration of Islamic Laws to the letter and as Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has decreed has yet to be implemented and administered to it's truest sense.

So, the world has yet to experience the true justice and correctness of the Syariah as per what Our Creator has ordained for us. Hence this unnecessary atmosphere of thinking that the Laws of God will not be fair to everyone.

We have yet to be ruled by the Syariah as Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has prescribed for us and thus the uninformed or those who are skeptics delude themselves into fearing the Laws of God so very unnecessarily.

The so called scholars of this world aren't exactly up to mark when being in their seats of religious power and jurisdiction for as always, there is an understood state of reality where the rules and laws of God as per the Holy Quran has yet to be administered by the rulers of any one country that calls itself 'Islamic' to the letter.

The current ruling party although being another Malay based Muslim party will never be able to establish a totally based on the Holy Qur'an as the nation's Constitution for they too will face the retributions of the totally unbiased Laws of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala if they try to change the present Constitution.

Furthermore, they share power with their coalition partners comprised of other Non Malay and Non Muslim political parties. So, the chances of the nation being considered as an Islamic State as I understand it is very slim indeed.

As such, Karpal Singh and his DAP party can sleep soundly for now as the BN ruling government is only performing a charade as far as being an Islamic nation at the moment.

PKR is born out of one individual's political tragedy and therefore is in no better position to champion Islam although the very individual it was formed to seek 'justice for' was one of this nation's foremost Muslim youth leader at the height of Islamic awareness was back then.

He is today more of an idealistic thinker reminiscing about an era gone by rather than pose as a credible challenger to the current powers that be.

PAS however has made some dynamic changes to it's approach to the Malaysian public and the present leadership are evolving to accommodate modern technology and of a more down to earth relationship with the masses.

The party headquarters moving to the inner part of the capital city is a good move to create an awareness of it's willingness to establish it's stronghold in the midst of sin city as 'the Chow Kit' red light area is infamous for.

Maybe the presence of Malaysia's fundamentalist Islamic political organization will have a positive effect on the flesh trade there.

Who knows, if in the later years , Chow Kit will no longer be referred to as the sinspots of KL.

Whatever it is , those who have been making a ruckus over the issue of Malaysia being an Islamic nation can be assured that their fears will not be realised as long as the present big boys run the show.

PAS can in the meantime reformat it's system, clean out all the kinks in it's machinery and relaunch it's programmes all over with a better leadership that will be able to reach out to the people of Malaysia yet be able to stick to the basic requirements of Rabbul Jaleel. Insya Allah.

Malaysia has a fantastic role to play amongst the nations of this world if we can show them that Islam properly upheld and administered through a just legal and civil government is just as fair as everyone wants life to be.

The only party that can do that if they too follow the Al Qur'an Al Kareem to the letter is PAS.

Will we get to see this happen within our lifetime? Who knows? Wallahu 'alam bissawab.

Malaysia is NOT an Islamic State! Face the facts!

Here is the wheelchair bound 'Lion of the Malaysian Courts' , Advocate and Solicitor Karpal Singh posing with his pet bulldog.

He is as dogged today as he has always been, with his 'continuing struggle' to deny the claim by our hapless ruling government, past and present, rhetoric spewing Prime Ministers that the Kingdom of Malaysia is an Islamic State!

You have got to hand it to him to have stayed his course and can expect him to be so till comes the day he kicks the bucket and returns to the Judgment of the Almighty!

He apologized for his statement about challenging anyone to cross his dead body before getting to set up an 'Islamic State' true to the letter , here in the Kingdom of Malaysia but has remained committed to his cause till this very second. You have to admire the man for that. No doubting him.

I concur with YB Karpal Singh that this nation is NOT an Islamic State in the truest sense.

The country is ruled by the remnants of the British civil Laws and according to the Constitution of the Kingdom of Malaysia.

Face the facts. The Civil Laws are the ones prevailing over this nation and the Syariah Court only applies to matters concerning the Muslims of this land, not over the total population.

Even the laws of the Syariah Court do not judge the Malaysian Muslims to the exact letters of the Rules and Laws of Allah , God Almighty as prescribed in the Holy Al-Qur'an Al Kareem and as per the authentic Hadiths of Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam.

We do not impose the Hudud Laws even unto the declared and attested to be Muslims of this land when they commit crimes punishable in Islam.

The examples of the laws being administered here in Malaysia do not come close to the Hudud laws of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

We all know that and we have to concur with Karpal Singh that this land is not under Islamic Law as proclaimed by the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad.

Neither are the 'Islam Hadhari' concept brought about by his successor, the present Malaysian Prime Minister, Dato Seri Abdullah Hj Ahmad Badawi superseding the civil laws of this nation.

We have two legal systems operating between a very faint line of authority over each other and we all know that the justice system here is always treading very carefully as it judges cases which at times crosses over and overlaps the matters of jurisdiction affecting the judgments concerning the rule of civil law or of the 'syariah courts'.

As long as this nation is not being ruled according to the exact laws laid down by Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala in the Holy Al Qur'an Al Kareem to the letter, Karpal Singh is right about his 'stand' that the Kingdom of Malaysia is not an 'Islamic State'.

Here is the latest from The Sun Online about Karpal's victory over the acceptance by the Home Minister Datuk Seri Radzi Sheikh Ahmad that Malaysia is NOT an Islamic State in Parliament yesterday.

"Happy now Karpal Sahab?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How Karpal Singh forced a point
Zainon Ahmad
It was vintage lawyer Karpal Singh who, employing his courtroom skills, cornered Home Minister Datuk Seri Radzi Sheikh Ahmad into agreeing that Malaysia is not an Islamic state.
The MP for Bukit Gelugor on Tuesday dodged and skirted all manner of obstacles placed in his way by BN backbenchers in order to pursue Radzi for his stand on Malaysia's status.
The wheelchair-bound DAP chairman was harangued and shouted at for delaying the passage of the Penal Code (Amendment) Bill 2006 and the Criminal Procedure Code (Amendment) Bill 2006.
"This Member for Bukit Gelugor persists in questioning Malaysia's status as an Islamic state. What else is there to question when Malaysia is already an established Islamic state?" said Datuk Badruddin Amiruldin (BN-Jerai).
The Malay BN backbenchers almost brought the House down when they loudly voiced support for Badruddin. Heard above the tumult was Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin (BN-Kinabatangan) whose voice needed no microphone.
When the others stopped, Bung Mokhtar continued to harangue Karpal. The veteran oppositionist shouted back. And soon they were exchanging unparliamentary words.
Speaker Tan Sri Ramli Ngah Talib called for order and asked Karpal and Bung Mokhtar to withdraw the words. "I will do that only after the Member from Bukit Gelugor has withdrawn his," said the man with the booming voice. Karpal did not reply.
Radzi, a lawyer and a former de facto law minister, continued to round up the debate on the bills. Hardly had he spoken for five minutes when Karpal asked for clarification but Radzi refused to yield the floor, saying he had a long way to go and very little time.
He continued his round-up but shortly after, when giving the floor, first, to Chong Eng (DAP-Bukit Mertajam) and then to Dr Rozaidah Talib (BN-Ampang), Karpal remarked "bagi perempuan saja (give way to women only)". He also said Radzi tak berani (scared) to allow him to speak.
"If you are brave, allow me to speak," he challenged. But Radzi refused to take the bait.
Unwilling to be ignored, Karpal shouted "point of order". At which point Radzi had to stop. When the Speaker asked Karpal for the specific section of the Order Book, he mentioned Standing Order 36 that "the minister was misleading the House".
Karpal said the minister should first lay down the basis for the amendment by saying that the proposed law is civil law. He said it must be made clear that civil laws prevail in Malaysia, unlike in Saudi Arabia and Iran whose laws are Islamic.
He said former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad may have declared Malaysia an Islamic state but it cannot be so because the laws of the land are civil laws. He said therefore, Islam, as stated in the Constitution, is only the religion of the federation - the official religion of the country.
Radzi stood up to continue with his rounding up, saying that discussion on the subject would require a lot of time and suggested that a special forum be organised for it instead. He then continued with his speech.
Karpal protested, saying the minister had not answered his question to which Radzi responded he already had.
"Jawab tak tepat - lari sana, lari sini," said Karpal who complained that the answers were inaccurate and that Radzi was dodging the issue.
To the restless backbenchers who complained that a lot of time was being wasted, Karpal insisted it was important to straighten out the matter.
Karpal: In the Constitution, Islam is the official religion and nowhere is it stated that Malaysia is an Islamic state. Right?
Radzi: Yes, the Constitution says that Islam is the religion of the federation.
Karpal: That's all that it is. It is the main religion and nowhere is it stated that Malaysia is an Islamic state. Right?
Radzi: I agree with you.
Karpal: Nowhere in the Constitution is it stated that Malaysia is an Islamic state. Do you agree?
Radzi: Yes, I agree.
Karpal: Cukup!
There was no mistaking the jubilance as he said cukup (that's all) as if saying "I rest my case".
Karpal had argued with Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Dr Abdullah Md Zin in the Dewan last year and the department's parliamentary secretary Datuk Dr Mashitah Ibrahim last week on the same subject.
He told Abdullah that in the Che Omar Che Soh case (1988), the supreme court had said that Islam is the religion of the federation and not the basic law of the country.
To Mashitah, he pointed out that the first three prime ministers had said that Malaysia is not an Islamic state.
Both had been unmoved in their belief that Malaysia is an Islamic state. Abdullah said it was the court's opinion and Mashitah said it was the three prime ministers' personal opinion.
The Dewan Rakyat adjourned sine die around 8pm on Tuesday after meeting for 14 days during which 12 bills, including three major ones - the Legal Profession (Amendment) Bill 2006, Penal Code (Amendment) Bill 2006 and Criminal Procedure Code (Amendment) Bill 2006 - were passed.
Shahrir Samad Blogs ! Is he a 'liar' too?
Assalamualaikum dear Muslims and May Peace be upon all others.
I refer to 'Tengku' Adnan Mansor's verbal assault upon us Bloggers recently that we are mostly liars!
Well, what has he got to say to our latest addition to the Blogosphere ; in the person of none other but the former BN Backbenchers Head and Whip @ YB Dato Shahrir Samad?
I can only imagine the discomfort of our Tourism Minister having to face this situation of trying to extricate his sorry self from the quagmire of his mouth!
Whatever it is , Bloggers are here to stay and as more and more people realize that the only lies being told are the media who are being dictated to by the powers that be,
and told what to print or publish daily!
Blogs are fast being relied upon by those who want the whole truth for we have no vested interests except in the wellbeing of our fellow citizens and beloved nation!
Welcome to the Blogosphere, Dato Shahrir Samad! I pray that you will be together with us in voicing out the truth and defend our rights to blog as we please. Responsibly , of course.
Now, if only the dinosaurs still roaming BN Bolehland come to their senses and join you here.
Will we see more of this nation's ruling politicians wise up and join the blogging fraternity. :)
Leadership qualities that an Uptrender must have!
ImageChef.com - Create custom images
I would like to share with you some important characteristics that a Leader in Uptrend Network or any other business entrepreneur must have in order to succeed in this chosen field!
It is of paramount importance that whoever wants to lead a team of success oriented individuals to outshine them and take the lead in order to reach the glittering top of the mega bucks and heights of achievement that we all set out to reach.
You can't afford to fumble your way to the top. No sirree. Fumblers and mumblers will always end up stumbling down to the bottom of the heap!
I have seen many who started out in this business with bursts of energy, bright sparks who lit up the skies with their enthusiasm but fizzled out after a brief moment of glory and being in the limelight!
All spark ...but no fire! What a bloody shame.. Tch tch tch tch...but that is the reality in life.
Many come into this challenging world of E-Commerce with a raging thirst for money and glory but end up depleted and wasted because they failed!
They failed to equip themselves with the basics of good business leadership. They failed to empower themselves with the qualities and skills of going through the gauntlet of rejections.
They forgot the cardinal rule of business management that is to learn and put to practice all the following principles of becoming a top notch super duper kick ass business builder!
If you want to be a top team leader in Uptrend Networks and be with my Team ZAINKING, then you need to uncover the following characteristics in yourself :
1. Have a white-hot desire to make money
  • You need to be one who is financially stressed enough to want to go all out in closing more sales of product packages and have the thirst to see all those extra dollars and ringgits swelling up your E-Wallets!
  • If you are flushed with cash and don't have creditors snapping at your heels and biting your butt, you can just watch from the sidelines. Really! Why waste your time by registering with us and then not doing what you need to do as a business builder?
  • There's no point in you signing up as a Double Platinum business owner and then take your own sweet time whiling away your time but being there in the business network!
  • You need to have that wanting to make money and by being so, do what is necessary in effecting change and activity with your team. You need to initiate action so that your team follows. There has to be a sense of urgency on your part as a business builder in this team.
2. You must be a person who likes people and are genuinely interested in them.
  • You can't be a top leader in this business if you do not like to mix with others.
  • You can't be a team leader if you do not give a damn about the people who signed up under you!
  • You can never be effective as a team leader if you do not care about your team members.
  • If you want to succeed and be someone whom others look up to as their leader, there's no two ways about it but you must genuinely be concerned about the welfare and problems affecting your team members.
  • You can however just move on forward and attend to the team members who reciprocate your attention and they in turn do give you feedback about their situations.
  • You can't afford to babysit anyone in this business for that will only slow you down and eventually get you all mired up in unnecessary personal self made and self imposed problems they load up upon themselves!
3.You must be someone who can emphatize with and understand your downlines.
  • Let's face the facts. Not everyone will be a superstar in this business.
  • There will be many who come in unsure of themselves and feel very self conscious of not being on par or up to the standards of being a dynamic business builder but who eventually will turn out to be a very good capable business leader.
  • There will also be those who come in like Mike Tyson, all powered up and look so vicious and gung ho but after a few weeks in the business be all washed out and ready to throw in the towel after the first few 'no's' they face in their business presentations.
  • So, as a leader who is in for the long run, you must have it in you to try and emphatize with such folks and do your best to boost their flagging spirits with some pep talk and reassurances about building up their stamina to outlast their rejectors and grab the gold!
  • In short, brush up on your people handling skills. Be a motivator. It helps.
4. You must be willing to help others achieve their goals.
  • Unlike those damned pyramid schemes where the uplines get all the rewards at the expense of their downlines, this Uptrend Network business depends on a solid foundation of trust and goodwill built by a strong sense of teamwork.
  • You will never be a successful leader in this business if your team is comprised of slow coaches and dead tortoises.
  • Whether we like it or not, we have to build up our team members and help them achieve their targets as well.
  • None in this business have achieved their stardom on their own. It takes more than two to tango in Uptrend!
  • We need to have a growing , growing empire of networkers all helping each other to close deals and develop a win, win situation for every Ahmad, Ah Seng or Samy in this business!
  • This is a universal business. You need to pay equal attention to each and every downline you have in your network. Sadly though, there are some who just don't realize that they too need to do their part to build up and grow this business! What can we do?
5. You must be entrepreneurial minded.
  • Being an Uptrender means that we have to rely on our own selfs to set the motion in our business build up.
  • Many come in expecting a free ride to prosperity and great wealth!!! Humbug!
  • Helllllloooooo!!! Wakey wakey dear Uptrender!!! This is not a latch on exercise !
  • You want the money? Then my friend , you have got to do work just like the bee who collects the nectar from flower to flower , buzzing here, buzzing there to collect it all and turn it into the honey!!!
  • No honey, no money! Get it?
  • You need to do something to get that extra something! Agree?
  • So, you as a business leader need to be entrepreneurial in your approach.
  • Use your commonsense to come up with new ideas, new approaches to build your network.
  • Stay within the guidelines and framework of the business set by the company and the government authorities. Preserve your integrity. Please.
6. Have a high energy level and love to do things.
  • You need to be highly charged up and be energized if you want to succeed in this business.
  • If you are standing there before a group of people and presenting this business to them, make sure that you speak like a full powered hyper charged dynamo!!!
  • If you speak as if you are a half dead has been, who the hell would ever be excited enough to join you in the first place?
  • You need to speak with power! You need to be an exciting person to watch! You need to put on a great fantastic presentation and be able to hold your audience's attention!
  • You wouldn't want to have an attendee dozing off at the back with his or her mouth wide open and snoring because you are boring, would you? Get the connection? Boring-Snoring!
  • I wouldn't want that in my presentations. That's why when I present, I always do so fully charged! Give them the works! Draw their attention with terrific one liners! Be fun!
There are many more things I want to share with you. Check with me later. Be the best!
Those of you who are ready to join me in this journey to make millions , call/sms 016-3969881
The future is ours to decide. God gives us this chance to go get ourselves rich! What are you waiting for?
Just imagine your name appearing there instead of his. It can be a reality if you too join me in this business.
Once you are properly registered by your Introducer Upline, you can then start your business networking by introducing it to others.
I have seen with my own eyes how Uptrend has and is improving the quality of life for so many Uptrenders who are building up their business networks and how their commitment is rewarding them with more daily and monthly income and how top leaders like Cikgu Amiruddin and Cikgu Norhaidi are enjoying a better lifestyle due to their focus and perseverance in Uptrend Networks!
Fuel Up before you head up the Fraser Hill!
I forgot to post this reminder to those of you who are heading up Fraser Hill for the first time.
There are no fuel stations at Fraser Hill . Not one. When I drove up Fraser Hill last month, I didn't know that.
Imagine my shock and surprise when I found out that the only sources for fuel there was a sundry shop by the name of SM Store just a few metres away from the Fraser Hill Police Station and another restaurant nearby.
Another shocker was the price per litre that the old lady was charging?
Yup, there were riots and protests over the 30 sens per litre fuel price increase a year ago but folks at Fraser Hill have to fork out RM2.80 per litre if they want to buy fuel at SM Store!
You have no options but to fuel up if you wanna drive down home. So, be warned! Fuel up before heading up the hills! Have a safe trip people! I would advise you to keep spare petrol with you.
Sg Pangsoon at Hulu Langat, a pleasure to visit
After having lunch at a kampong Malay traditional food stall today at Hulu Langat, we proceeded to drive on to the rural areas of the hinterland till we reached Sg Pangsoon, an Orang Asli reservation area.
The river is still in its pristine state and the water is till clear and clean. I pray that the river will be left unpolluted and other rivers in the country which have been disturbed and unscrupulous parties have destroyed the environment, they will realize their mistakes and try remedy the situation.
We all drink water from the piped water to our homes but we fail to realize that the water is supplied from the riverine sources.
When the rivers are polluted and the sources destroyed, where else are we going to get clean water from?
Love our rivers. It is the source of our livelihood. May our rivers be always there for us. Amin.
Jering Tree right smack in Bandar Tun Razak, KL
Imagine my delight seeing a 'Jering Tree' right in the middle of Bandar Tun Razak.
The tree also had some bunches of ripe 'Jering' hanging around waiting for some adventurous types to go pluck them.
I always feel great watching such trees growing well and the trees being healthy and allowed to be where they are, unmolested by itchy hands ready to chop down trees at a minute's notice.
I love trees. The more trees there are around me , the happier I get.
What I would love to see is to have more fruit trees planted in suburbs and parks.
All along the roadsides, we see non fruiting trees being planted by the city authorities.
I mean to ask? What's the point of planting such trees which are of the non fruiting type?
Wouldn't it be better if the DBKL could plant , let's say rambutan trees, durian trees, mangoes, guavas, etcetera in the public parks?
Remember the story of Johnny Appleseed in America? I don't know whether that story is about a real person or just a fable?
But I like the context of that story. A man walking along the roads of America and planting an apple seed every few meters as he traveled along. The seeds he planted were said to have grown into big apple trees that gave endless delight and ripe delicious apples to the masses.
I'd love to do something just like that. Maybe I'd go around planting rambutan seeds hoping that they might grow and bring many of my fellow citizens years from now, much pleasure and delight in eating delicious, red 'longkah' rambutans during fruit season.
Back to reality, I would like to express my thanks to DBKL for letting that Jering Tree grow in Bandar Tun Razak.
Thank you for not chopping down that tree unlike the ones along the road in front of the shophouses.
I know that the trees were sort of too tall and maybe endanger the pedestrians if their branches were to snap off and fall on them.
The thing I feel is that maybe they could have just be trimmed off and not chopped away altogether.
Those trees were sucking in all the harmful carbon monoxide in the atmosphere around there and giving us precious life giving oxygen that we all inhale without realising it.
Now, they are gone. chopped up and carted away to God knows where. Sigh.....
The Story about the Fern and the Bamboo
The Fern and the
Bamboo
One day I decided to quit... I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality...
I wanted to quit my life.
I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.
"God", I said. "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"
His answer surprised me...
"Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"
"Yes", I replied.
"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water.
The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.
In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo".
He said. "In the third year, there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit.
In the fourth year, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I would not quit."
He said. "Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth.
Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant.
But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall. It had spent the five years growing roots.
Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."
He said to me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots. I would not quit on the bamboo.
I will never quit on you. Don't compare yourself to others."
He said. "The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern, yet, they both make the forest beautiful."
"Your time will come, "God said to me. " You will rise high!"
"How high should I rise?" I asked.
"How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.
"As high as it can?" I questioned.
"Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."
I left the forest and brought back this story. I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you.
Never regret a day in your life. Good days give you happiness. Bad days give you experiences. Both are essential to life. Keep going...
Happiness keeps you Sweet,
Trials keep you Strong,
Sorrows keep you Human,
Failures keep you humble,
Success keeps You Glowing,
but Only God keeps You Going
!
The above story was sent to me by my missus! Thank you darling !
May God bless you!
Uptrender in Focus - Asiah, a UiTM Graduate
Assalamualaikum. Greetings to you.
In view of the recent media blitz on the aspects of some blinkered views on E-Commerce being halal or haram according to the dimwit's 'opinions, I decided to do my own series of interviews with my fellow Uptrenders.
I would like to feature one young dynamic committed Uptrend Business Builder today.
She is just one out of hundred over thousands of enterprising business leaders here.
She is Asiah binti Abdul Kadir. 26. Single. Graduate of UiTM. Lives in Serdang, Selangor. Her hometown is Temerloh, Pahang. She's the 8th child out of a family of 15 children.
I interviewed her at the Uptrend HQ in PJ. This is her story.
MG58 - You say you graduated from UiTM in 2004. What did you do graduate in ?
Asiah - I am a graduate holding a Bachelor of Information Systems Management.
MG58 - What job did you get after graduation?
Asiah - I first got a job as a Sales Assistant at Vitacare Pharmacy in KL Sentral.
MG58 - How much was the pay?
Asiah - I was paid just RM550.00 a month.
MG58 - What other jobs have you worked as?
Asiah - I then worked as a Designer with SASA Digital Print earning RM700.00 a month.
MG58 - Did you find a better job after that?
Asiah - I did. I got a job as an HR Assistant with Amazed Aim Sdn Bhd where I was paid RM40.00 per hour. No other benefits.
MG58 -What happened after that?
Asiah - I was jobless for a few months and really felt miserable because I had no money. My debts were adding up and I was in deep financial trouble. I was praying for a way out.
MG58- Can you tell me how you came to know and became an Uptrender?
Asiah - I first came to learn about Uptrend last year in October. My friend Malik introduced me to this business by telling me about it. I didn't like the MLM business and didn't want to have anything to do with it at that time. I hated MLM. I don't know why but just didn't like the very idea.
MG58 What made you change your mind?
Asiah - A housemate of mine working in Petronas brought home a flyer of this business. On that flyer was the phone number of this lady who turned out to be the wife of my present upline and leader, Malik.
My housemate seeing that I had no job and no income recommended me to call up that number and check out this business opportunity.
MG58 - What made you hate MLM? Did you get cheated by anyone from such a business?
Asiah - I had heard that many people had been cheated in such businesses and so I had a deep fear of such businesses.
MG58 - So, what happened after you read the flyer?
Asiah - Well, to cut the story short, I made an appointment with the lady whose number was on the flyer. I was taken by her to the Uptrend HQ here in PJ and I sat at the very front seats of the seminar hall.
The speaker was Tuan Haji Shahairy.
MG58 - How did you find the business presentation?
Asiah - Well, what Hj Shahairy said made sense to me. I was in deep financial situations.
When he described all the hardships that he went through before making it in Uptrend, I could relate to all that. I understood exactly what he was saying. It was like he was telling my story.
I felt that it was time for me to get a hold of my future and solve my financial obligations, once and for all.
MG58 - So, when did you start your Uptrend business and with what package?
Asiah - I started my business with a Bronze Internet Business Partner package costing me RM342.00 on the 10th of January, 2007.
I have now built up my Uptrend Network in just 3 months to now number 40 downlines and have made more than RM2000.00 with my business. My initial startup capital has already been returned and I am now making good money with my team members. Alhamdulillah.
MG58- What is your opinion about some people saying that E-Commerce is haram and some say that even Uptrend's business is the same?
Asiah - As far as I understand, this business is built on the sale of products and the setting up of business networking.
I do not see any area where our business is going against the principles of Islamic Laws?
As such, I do not see why such people have to resort to making such claims against this business which is clearly halal and a terrific way for people like me to make money and help others to do the same!
MG58 - What do you hope to achieve from this business?
Asiah - I want to build up my business networks to be as big and as profitable as possible. I want to help provide for my family and help my parents financially.
I pray that this business will provide me a better future as even being a graduate like me have found it hard to get a decent paying job and not many other opportunities out there today.
Thank you Uptrend for giving me this platform to grow my own business! I too want to achieve financial freedom and be a success just like our Uptrend leaders! Insya Allah.
MG58- I wish you the best in your business and thank you for your time. Good luck!
Asiah - Thank you too. Check out my http://blade.uptrendnet.com
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

That concluded my interview with Asiah. There are hundreds of thousands of similar cases here in our nation. Many are driven to do things that they wouldn't if they had the money to provide for their needs.

At times we read of college and university students moonlighting as callgirls and prostitute themselves because they lacked money to fund their studies.

We also hear of cases where such young people were taken advantage of by their lecturers and at times these cases pop up in the tabloids and magazines but nobody gives a damn about it.

Newspapers report these cases on and off but society at large has sort of gone accustomed to dismissing it off as seen this, heard that, so what? kind of indifference.

The reality of all evil taking place in this land is just that. Indifference. Couldn't care less attitude.

So what? Not my problem kind of mindset. Apathy. Ahh...it's none of my business sort of thoughts.

Well, the reality is that as long as we all live in a society, we do need to care. We do need to bother.

We do need to know about what's going on? We can't 'close one eye' as some idiots in authority do.

If we allow such injustices to grow out of control and we fail to take corrective actions and nip the problems in the bud, then just wait for it to run riot and soon we will have anarchy in our lands!

Don't just condemn and pass judgments as you please. Help build up people's life's instead of destroying whatever little hope they may have in building a better future. Please.

Help support the poor and those who are suffering. Come help them start their own moneymaking business and stop being a right royal pain in the ass jackass with your unfounded decrees!

This is directed of course to those whom I lambasted in my earlier posts! Get a life !

Those who want to be better off financially, give me a call or sms your details to 016-3969881!

I am here to help. Insya Allah! Wabillahi taufeek walhidayah. Wassalamualaikum wr wb.

Secret to being well and surviving chaos in this life.

'Assalamualaikum'. This phrase means 'Peace be upon you!'.

Beautiful way of greeting someone, won't you agree?

This is the form of greeting that we greet each other as Muslims. Wishing someone to be at peace with him or herself is such a pleasant manner of expression and is in fact a prayer.

A prayer that if uttered in sincerity will be granted by Our Maker, Allah, God Most Supreme, Most High. If you meet someone who is a Muslim, please greet the person sincerely. Do not just say your salaams as a form of customary social habit.

Do know that; that salaam is the very same salaam, put to practice by all of Allah's Prophets and Messengers and even used by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala to greet His Beloved and Greatest Final Messenger, Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam when the Chosen Prophet was in audience before Allah Azza Wa Jalla in the Israq and Mikraj.

'Assalamu alaika aiyuhan nabiyyu warahmatullahi wabarakatuh!' meaning ' Peace be upon you O Prophet with the Mercy of Allah and His Baraqah!'

Hence , the need for us to know not to take the salaam in vain. We must also know not to take this life that God has given us in vain. We wouldn't be here if our existence is by a fluke!

Each and every one of us is uniquely created by God and given our special unique abilities or appearance no matter whether we are created as beautiful as a perfect specimen of being a human male or female.

We are all special in our own certain way but the way we think of ourselves is what we allow ourselves to believe and come to learn of our qualities.

We are who or what we think ourselves to be. This is a process of self realization. Some are driven to believe that they are not perfect and they try to go solve that problem by applying all kinds of treatment or to the extreme of cosmetic surgery.

That is the physical aspect of this wanting to be 'beautiful' or 'handsome' externally.

The most important aspect of wellbeing however lies in the mental department of oneself.

Many out there today suffer from a severe case of self denial or self depreciating thoughts.

Too many of us today waste precious hours and days of our temporary life's here on Earth worrying about what so and so thinks of us?

What good does that do us? What is the point of worrying about what A , B or C thinks of us when we really need to ponder on what we need to do in order to living this life well and be as best as we can be!

Be at peace with yourself. Remember that yesterday is past and gone but tomorrow can be what you make it to be.

So what if you are back to square one in life ? Life can now be what you decide it to be.

I lost all that I had when I had to divorce my ex. I lost my kids . I lost every sen that I had when I divorced in 2001 at the age of 42.

God gave me a better spouse to live the rest of my life with and 5 years down the road, I am so grateful to have her still and succeed in life with her I will!

I decide whether I want to be gloomy or cheerful as I can be. I call the shots. I decide.

With Allah's full permission, I can be the best leader that I can be , both for myself, my family and my team!

It's all up to me to be what I want to be. All I need to do is :
  • Take control of my own luck
  • Keep the right company
  • Discipline myself
  • Get rid of my failures
  • Motivate myself by motivating others
  • Listen to good advice when it is given...especially by my wife! :)
She has been my guiding angel. At times I get so pissed off by certain things or people who shoot off their mouths speaking as if they are so holy moly, I just wanna go wring their necks and kick them in their balls...but my gentle wife always soothes the savage raging temper in me with her soothing voice...hehehehe...it always cools me down...but still I seethe inside....taking care not to alarm her and let her know that, as the ancient Malay parable goes .....

" Ular menyusur akar ; takkan hilang bisanya " meaning ' a slithering snake going by the roots will not lose it's venom'.

As a man, I have it in me to kick ass when needed to but in these times one does not have to go primitive unnecessarily....unless the circumstances call for it!

Last time I had to kick ass was way back in 1988 for which two thugs ended up with injuries needing stitches and me having to attend court on and off for 7 years.

Found to be just defending myself and acquitted without being discharged. To me it was all survival. Was either them or me. Prefer it to be them! Hehehehehe....

Back to my topic. Be good to yourself and forget about impressing others. Be well ; live happy!

WISE WORDS
" If they gave a reward for finding faults, some people would get rich quick! "

Live your life well and stop to smell the flowers and taste the sweetness of honey by being with good quality people and join me in making money!

Hehehehehehe...couldn't resist that ! It rhymes .... the honey and money ....:D

Have a nice day folks. We all need it.

Wassalamualaikum.

Behold! We are fast turning into a Fatwa Spewing Nation

It's bound to happen!

This nation is now being inundated by Fatwa spewing Maulana's and Know it All's.

Ermmm..by the way ; this has nothing to do with the 'Islam Hadhari' Mullah's in government!

I have been following the hullabaloo of the ferocity of the fatwa spewing know it all's with a concern for these 'sin free' Masters of Islamic Jurisprudence are sort of distressing those of us who are in the E-Commerce business.

One chap comes up with his own interpretation of the laws about doing business like this ; another fellow will counter propose with another law of his own.

The reality is that all these fellows are speaking out of their own individual perceptions of what is halal ; what is haram and what is in between.

All these recent focus on the legality of businesses being done using the internet as a medium is really a lame excuse for them to garner focus and popularity through creating a controversy for these chaps are truly afflicted with a severe case of verbal diarrhea and egoistic tendencies of wanting to show that they know better than the rest of the world.

You know that I am just stating the obvious! I am not uttering 'fitnah' upon them. Plain facts!

The irony is that the Fatwa Spewing 'Scholar's fail to address worse cases of Sin that are being committed right before their very eyes! Not one true blue standing up to all these cases :
  • Adultery @ Zina ,
  • Incest,
  • Rapes,
  • Molestations,
  • Widespread Fornication amongst the Malay Muslims,
  • Transvestites,
  • Homosexual Activities,
  • Lesbian and 'Pengkid' Activities,
  • Illegitimate Children being born to the Malay Muslims,
  • Drug Abuse,
  • Alcoholism,
  • Breakdown of the Family Institution,
  • Gambling amongst the Malays,
  • Widespread Corruption,
  • Criminal Breach of Public Trusts,
  • Outright Abuses of the Citizens Rights and Privileges,
  • Injustice,
  • Transgressions against Fundamental Practices and Aqeedah of the Muslims,
  • Deviant Practices,
  • Blasphemy against Allah and the Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam.
  • Murtad @ Apostasy,
  • Atheism,
  • and all other kinds of worse sins are all happening before these fully credentialed 'sin free' scholars WHO FAIL TO SPEAK UP AND ADDRESS ALL THESE BLATANT SINS BEFORE THEM!!!
SELECTIVE FATWA SPEWING?

These nutcases go after those trying to make a honest living amidst all these sufferings and challenges facing us and these useless crackpots try to come across as the 'Champions of Islam' when they are nothing but just hypocrites of the highest order!!!!

Are these jokers gonna be coming to pay our bills? Are they going to settle our dues?

Where the bloody hell were these idiots when we were facing dire straits due to our poverty and helpless situations?

They can go take a flying leap into whichever sewer befits them! The nation's full of them!

I for one don't give a rat's ass about these idiots who are just spewing rhetoric to gain attention from the media.

I don't care when they speak about this internet based business or that internet based business that doesn't have any products for sale or try to make money out of other people's money in an unjust way but if these bozos try to make unlawful of what is lawful before God Almighty, then just wait for a full frontal assault as best as I can muster!!!

I have been patient with these idiots far too long to just watch silently as they spew nonsense after nonsense day after stressful day!

These chaps are just asking for it! Wallahi wabillahi! I will be up in arms! Enough is enough!

That's a promise that you can take to the bank!!!

Welcome PLATINUM HORIZON to Team ZAINKING!

I welcome my latest Team Member PLATINUM HORIZON who signed up on Monday the 19th of March, 2007.

Placed her business under Team Zainalkaya's ABYKAYA 2A.

As I have always done, I will place new businesses under my current downlines.

On one side only, thank you! You need to sign up a new business and place them on the opposite side to make it a pair and get your Pairing of Businesses bonus! Easy money, eh?

Picture here shows Zainalkaya getting paid in cash from our Mobile Dealer Upline Cikgu Norhaidi Nordin watched by a beaming Othman Reflex, Zainal's latest Platinum member.

Back to my latest direct sign up, she's a bit shy so I am not gonna disclose her name just yet.

PLATINUM HORIZON business owner is a Marketing Manager for a German manufacturing company and is one of my blog readers.

My team is made up of professionals and business builders. Most of them are here in KL but my team members are now all over the peninsular.

The secret to success in this business is focus and perseverance. Those who expect to become wealthy overnight best be prepared to realise that it doesn't happen to each and every networker.

Yes, there have been some lucky ones in the business who had it all happening to them and now can take broadly grinning pictures with their thumbs up saying that they did it; but the real deal is that this business needs to be built from the ground up to keep growing in time.

Picture here shows (L to R) : Zainalkaya, Othman Reflex, Cikgu Adi with his Credit Card Swipe Machine and myself.

I for one have set my target to see my team reach our goals within a year plus timeframe.

We can do it if we set our hearts and minds to it! Let's make money the proven way! InsyaAllah!

The Malays Dilemna- Whom Shall We Blame? Part2

Continued from previous post...

4. Corruption
  • Ever since Mankind came to taste the power of authority, Mankind has always been known to favor or to give some allowances to those who have served him or her and it shall remain to be the same till Doomsday.
  • Here in Malaysia, the ruling authorities and all the relevant departments and civil servants with the power to impose or close one eye to the transgressions against the Rule of Law have always practiced some sort of corrupt acts whilst holding office.
  • Corruption is rampant amongst the state governments and all local authorities and the majority of these corrupt officers are Malays ....a reason being that they are in the larger numbers holding such posts in the government and local authorities.
  • 'Alah..Boleh kira lah bang,Encik, Tuan, Datuk, Tan Sri !'...is the usual icebreaker deployed and practiced by the criminals appointed to oversee the laws and enforcement...or lack of enforcement in this land. The Indonesian phrase is 'Bisa di atur Pak!'
  • Even big sharks that were caught with their jaws on the ringgits and hauled up to the courts have been seen to be let go once again into the ocean of 'tidak apathy' in Malaysian Government due to the underlying roots of attachment going from one tree to another to all the way to the top! Aiyaaaa......too deeply rooted one might say to be solved by just one chopping of a rotten tree....the whole forest of governance stinks to high heaven!
  • Talk about connections and 'very, very, important cables'....We all know it but we don't speak about it...for fear of 'retributions'....Sigh..Man fears other Men more than God!
  • Corruption is well and healthy in Malaysia Boleh!
5. Moral decay
  • Moral decay as I see it is brought about by the gradual indifference that we as members of a communal society start to not bother about what takes place around us.
  • The Malays are famous for their aping other cultures and not appreciating their heritage.
  • Go to any major city or towns here in Malaysia and you can see with your own eyes, youngsters amongst the Malay populations try and copy a fashion, a style, a form of dressing, hairstyle, mannerisms, etc all that is from the decadent lifestyles of the West.
  • Many Malay youths sport earrings, wear baggy jeans, torn jeans, revealing clothes, dyed hair, piercings, even tattoos on their bodies exposing their succumbing to peer pressure or just wanting to blend in with their 'cliques' and they hang out at the shopping malls, etc.
  • They don't want to be seen as Malays and more and more of them get involved in free sex, gangs, deviant groups and cults, and eventually end up as drug addicts and social misfits.
  • Whom shall we blame for all these social problems that are getting worse by the day?
  • Shall we blame the pure rhetoric Islam Hadhari government of Abdullah Badawi?
  • Shall we blame the ineffective Religious Department of Islamic Development (JAKIM)?
  • Shall we blame the stupid, naive, couldn't care less parents of the social misfits for not watching over their kids?
  • Shall we blame ourselves for not doing anything worthwhile like stopping evil when we see it or are we all now so bloody afraid of the consequences if we go and try to stop the rot?
6. Family Affairs
  • At the root of most families suffering from problems, there are a few major causes that I see being the destructive factors giving birth to the social problems we see before us in this nation.
  • A major problem is the lack of money. When families suffer due to the lack of money, the entire family starts looking for a way out of their predicament.
  • The father will turn cranky and temperamental because he is distressed at not being able to provide for the family as much as he wants to. He starts being hot tempered and scolds each and every one who pisses him off . The slightest error by anyone of his family triggers an emotional disturbance in him where the chances of him turning violent is very big and woe betide the one whom he scorns!
  • The wife and mother starts getting cranky too and she can turn into a raging shrew making life at home unbearable and totally miserable for the kids to stay. The situation varies from house to house but the general impact of living in debt and outstanding bills can drive anybody nuts and make the home a living hell.
  • The children try to look for salvation and some sort of peace and tranquility and thus go look for comfort in their friends or same age teen groups.
  • Naturally, teen groups will have some sort of hierarchy and they will then be taken advantage of by such teen group's leaders.
  • It's a vicious cycle of abuse and treachery that will when left to fester unchallenged will corrode and corrupt or even destroy such young, gullible life's.
7.Religious Ignorance
  • Families suffer when the husband or wife are ignorant about the fundamentals of the faith and fail to practice the faith as they should.
  • Failure to perform the daily prayers give way to lost souls who then fall prey to their nafs or lusts.
  • A man who does not pray ends up not fearing to commit sin. Anything goes as far as he is concerned.
  • Drinking, socializing, taking advantage of another's wife, sleeping around, is all run of the mill for the one who does not lay down his forehead on the prayer mat facing Makkah!
  • Life means nothing for one who knows nuts about religion. To him who fears nothing, sin is just a word that holds no water according to his mindset. He does not care whether it is his wife or daughter whom he has before him on his bed. Lust overtakes his self and the family that has such a father figure is doomed to go to the opposite of Heaven, right here on Earth.
  • This is the destructive result of any family that fails to adhere to the tenets of Islam and when parents do not give a damn anymore as to the principles of faith in Allah. I am referring to the rising number of incest cases where the root cause if the failure of fathers to fear God and fail to raise their families according to the Will of God.
  • I have had people write to me and bare their souls about the failure of their spouses to be true Muslims and the uphill challenges of them trying to keep their marriage alive and families together but after repeated attempts to salvage the marriage end up divorced because of another major factor affecting such families.
  • The EGO of the husband or father in not acknowledging their faults and not wanting to act or improve on it.
8. Hedonism
  • Being the ruling party and wanting to cater to the needs and wants of a hedonistically inclined community such as the Malays must be pretty tough for any party.
  • The BN Malaysian Government has failed to stem the rising tide of hedonism here in Malaysia because they fear repercussions from the Malays if they start to strictly vet and censor entertainment pursuits of the decadent society who love to waste away their life's by engaging in such practices.
  • The Malays have always loved to sing, dance and flirt since time immemorial. To stop them doing so will see the ruling government bite the dust in the next GE. So, they allow the television and radio stations to do as they please and keep the 'people' occupied with talent shows, concerts, singing competitions, drams, films, etcetera and not to bring attention to themselves.
  • Such are the tendencies of the Malays to engage in hedonistic pursuits as they please.
There are many other issues that need to be addressed to stop the Malays of Malaysia from sliding over the edge of reason and plunge into the abyss of apathy. I surely hope they be saved!

The Malays Dilemna-Whom shall we blame?

Assalamualaikum dear Muslims and May Peace be unto the rest!

The topic I am writing today is the dilemma that Malays here in Malaysia are facing in these challenging times.

On one hand, the Malays in Malaysia are seen by the rest of the Muslim world to be the champions of Islam and Malaysia, being the current Organization of Islamic Countries leader adds to the pressure of trying to live up to the ideals of being a model Islamic nation.

The reality is that a growing number of the Malays of this land are embroiled in all kinds of khurafat and misdeeds that run contrary to the tenets of Islam, Ad Deen ul Haqq and the ones who try to uphold or instill the true teachings of Islam get branded as extremists, fanatics and trouble makers.

There are so many factions and groups today in my nation who squabble against each other, against the scholars, against the religious departments, think tanks, this and that , bringing grief and sadness to weigh down upon my heart and those similar in thoughts as mine.

How are we going to solve this raging unrest and turmoil in our hearts and minds?

Why has it come to this sorry state of endless dispute and confusion whereas the teachings of Islam revealed to all of Allah's Prophets and Messengers through Time culminated in the final Testament of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala being the Kitabul Kareem, Al Qur'anul Majeed being entrusted to the Seal of the Prophets and the Greatest of Allah's Prophets, the Rasul Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam, Muhammad ibni Abdullah?

The Malays of today, being the majority Muslim population of this nation are sadly being left to their own in terms of government apathy and lip service only by the so called 'Islam Hadhari' administration of Abdullah Badawi, it's 'inventor' and proponent!

Whether we like it or not, we have to face the realities plaguing this nation and especially which seems to infect the Muslim Malays of Malaysia.

I can keep on going by the list of maladies facing the Malays here but let me start by stating the root causes of what I see needs immediate attention and correction by the ruling authorities by order of severity:
  1. Politically enmity
  2. Deviant practices
  3. Sex crimes
  4. Corruption
  5. Moral decay
  6. Family affairs
  7. Hedonism

The list is endless but let's tackle the above major problems first.

Political Enmity

  • The Malays are now divided into so many factions and groups. Most obvious is the ongoing political enmity between members of the United Malays National Organization (UMNO) and those belonging to the Parti Islam se Malaysia (PAS).
  • These are two of the largest Malay majority parties whose 5 decade long enmity drives a wedge deep into the Malay Muslim population of Malaysia, resulting in endless strife between these opposing party members since Malaya's Independence from the British Colonialists.
  • Until these two opposing groups of Malays close ranks and make peace, the nation will continue to suffer, an undercurrent of political strife and division of the Ummah till the Last Day.
  • The underlying distrust and hatred fermenting in the hearts of the egoistic members of both parties continues to simmer and spew forth every now and then as a result of the recalcitrant leadership of both parties in not wanting to be the first to extend the hand of forgiveness and friendship and to put aside their differences for the sake of the Ummah, here in Malaysia.
  • UMNO on one hand tries to out Islam the PAS party by coming up with it's 'Islam Hadhari' campaign meant to portray that they are the ones championing Islam whilst PAS refuses to have anything to do with this 'innovative' rebranding of Islam.
  • I agree with PAS on this. Islam is already perfect and complete and there is no need to add a term to Islam, the true Faith from Allah the Almighty. Does the present government want to imply that their forefathers weren't practicing Islam proper? Why the hell do they have to further scapegoat the pure faith with an added side label? Speak of their Ego!

Deviant Practices

  • Malays in Malaysia have always been subject to be influenced by either religious extremists or deviants who come up with their own lopsided beliefs or misleading form of Islamic teachings mixed with pagan practices, occult or self delusions of grandeur.
  • A large number of Malays continue to be the top believers in the 'Bomoh' @ Shamans or Witch Doctors. You can't deny that the world has both good and bad spirits roaming around with the Will of Allah , God Almighty. God gives us free choice to live our life's but He doesn't leave us without Guidance.
  • The Guidance from God is the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah @ Example of the Holy Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam.
  • Even the Qur'an has a whole Surah dedicated to the Djinns @ Spiritual Beings. We ourselves have a living spirit @ our soul within our bodies. Thus we are also vulnerable to disturbances by evil spirits IF we do not practice our faith and thus inevitably be exposed to possession or get affected by the black magic, occult, etc.
  • To broach on this subject will take endless hours and lengthy discourses to which I simply do not have the luxury of time to expound on it full scale. Maybe in the near future, I will.
Sex Crimes
  • As much as we want to deny it or beat around the bush about this most sensitive issue, it is a growing problem much affecting the Malays of today.
  • The newspapers are full of cases involving sex related crimes amongst the Malays. I have written about the fact that the Malays constitute the highest number of out of wedlock births of illegitimate children and the highest cases of incest amongst the entire population of Malaysia. The statistics are there provided by the Royal Malaysian Police and the many NGO's fighting for women's rights etcetera.
  • The problem however dwells within the young Malay adults themselves who go fornicate out of their own desires and as a result of the current trend amongst the Malays to mind their own business. Malays of before mostly lived in villages and as villagers are known to be the same the whole world over, each and everything that takes place in the village is common knowledge and one can't do any hanky panky as one feels like without being reprimanded by the village elders, etc.
  • Living in the big cities and in high rise condominums or apartments where neighbours do not interact or mingle amongst themselves gives rise to this spread of sexual offenders getting away with incest, adultery, molestations, rapes and even murders.
  • When one does nothing to stop a sin taking place before oneself, that one becomes an accomplice to the sin for not doing anything to stop it.
  • Malays are therefore being left on their own to fall into such sinful activities despite the relevant authorities or the Government of 'Islam Hadhari' Malaysia trumpeting aloud that their's is an Islamic administration and Champion of Islam amongst the Muslim nations of this world!
  • Rhetoric and lies spread over time come to be accepted as the truth by gullible naive ones amongst the population of this nation. I for one condemn the current apathy being shown by the so called 'ulamak' of this screwed up nation.
  • From the outside, Malaysia might seem to be a nation, so peaceful, so pure, so 'Truly Asian' etc as the Tourism Ministry and Ministry of Culture would want the world to accept and believe. The reality however is as grimy and as corrupted as any other nation on Earth. It's all a matter of perception.
  • People believe what they CHOOSE TO BELIEVE. You believe that you are sinfree? Damn. In your heart and mind, you are as pure as the mountain snow. As crystal clear as the spring water emanating from the unpolluted jungle in some faraway nature reserve. The reality is that each of us commit sin knowingly or unknowingly. It's not easy to remain sinfree in today's world. That however does not mean that we can do as we damn well please.
  • You try to keep yourself sin free for one day! Go ahead! I challenge you. It's virtually impossible nowadays.
  • What with the way people go about in public? You go to KLCC and what do you see? Women wearing low hip jeans with their navels exposed, butt half exposed showing flesh here, flesh there, it's sickening to go out in public these days.
  • Guess who wears such forms of half exposing clothes? Yes, you guessed right. The Malay girls and young adults.
  • On one hand, we have the all covered University students with their holy moly 'tudung labuh' clad selfs and demure looks complete with the personalities to boot and then we have the all exposing hordes of young, nubile, recklessly wild kids and young teens each trying to out expose their bodies and doing all kinds of stuff that at times makes us so pissed off that we are tempted to go give them a tight slap or a royal kick in their butts!
  • The JAKIM, JAWI and all the other 'JA's of this nation are bloody useless idiots best suited to spew out 'fatwa's and other 'holier than thou' edicts that are just like passing wind in the air. Stinks for a while and then is gone, swept away into the realm of 'tidak apathy' of 'Malaysia Boleh' land!
To be continued...

I love you and ask for your forgiveness for any mistakes I have done.

@};-

I wrote these poems for my wife 5 years back when we first met...online through Yahoochat.

Life

With a cry we are born into this life,
From being a child you are now my wife,
Through the years together we strive,
With our love against all odds we'll thrive..

Being together through all the violent storms
At time's we find it so hard to conform,
When others dictate to us on how to live,
They're always taking..we're prone to give

No matter how much we've to endure,
My darling wife ,don't fret there'll be a cure,
What goes around comes around,
Do not despair ..stand your ground

Think positive,always feel good,
Never ever be like deadwood,
Life is short so make it sweet,
In paradise..God willing,we shall meet.

Dearest Sweetheart

My dearest angel with a charming smile,
To be with you, I'd walk many a mile,
Hearing your gentle whispers in my ears,
Cherish them I will, throughout the years.

Being apart strains my heart,
Your presence so cherished, I can't depart,
Thy tender lips forever so sweet,
Would be met with mine ... if ever we meet.

To be together, through thick and thin,
In my heart you remain, deep within,
As long as the ocean meets the shore,
You'll be my sweetheart forever more.

I promise you this, my love so true,
Without your love, I'll be so blue,
May God Almighty grant me this,
That your lips be the ones forever I kiss.

My First Google Adsense Cheque Arrives!

My first Google Adsense Cheque was in our mailbox this evening after coming home from our dinner at Ampang Point!

Alhamdulillah! I really appreciate this extra funds coming in to help me out with some of my bills.

It might not be as much as what 'pro bloggers' out there are earning but to me it is good enough! In these times, whatever extra cash comes our way the halal way is really very helpful.

Thank you Google Adsense! You've made my day! May such cheques keep coming !InsyaAllah!

Leadership Values Part 2

Leadership Values -Part 2.

Assalamualaikum and Greetings to those of you who are building your business networks in Uptrend Networks.

I hope that my writings here are helping you to focus and improve your business building activities and bringing you to a better stage of handling your business activities. Insya Allah.

To be a successful leader in this E-Commerce & Networking Business, you must have or develop:

1. A KEEN INTEREST OR DESIRE TO SUCCEED
  • If you do not have this keen interest to be successful and to be rich and free from debts, do us a favor- stay out of this business.
  • If you would love to live a better quality of life , enjoy a higher standard of lifestyle, appreciate the finer things of life and want to taste all the fantastic things that only money can buy, then you must have this keen interest to build your business network well and with a burning desire to see your handsome or beautiful face featured in the company's magazine listed amongst the high achievers and recognized as the latest superstar in Uptrend.
  • You must mix with the top leaders of Uptrend to develop this sense of wanting to be like them. You have to. You go and mix with the half past six losers crowd, no way in hell can you be the top gun you want to be by wallowing in self pity and in the bad news circle.
2. FINANCIAL STRESS
  • You must have the need to earn more. You must have that desperate need to see more cash in your wallet and have that urgency in going about this business. If your father is Tan Sri Mokhtar Al Bukhari, money will not be a problem for you so go do as you please.
  • This business will work best for those of you who have outstanding bills and creditors breathing down your neck, threatening to cut off your utility supplies and disconnect everything from you ...hehehehe. Now, you know why the jungle people can sleep so peacefully without a care in the world, smoking that rokok daun, swatting off a fly or mosquito as they lie in their hammock , without worrying about this and that as we do.
  • You must be financially stressed to have that need to do this business better full swing!
3. LEADERSHIP / SPEAKER MATERIAL
  • This business is for those of us who like to lead. You must have a healthy ego to boot. You must have a bit of the peacock type personality to love to strut your tail feathers all around and crow every now and then! :P
  • Those who are shy and 'malu malu ' type, go take a hike! You can't be somebody in this business if you are afraid to stand in front of people and talk!
  • You must be able to talk, talk, talk and talk as if your life depends on it. Come to think of it, yes , your livelihood depends on how well you talk.
  • This business is for all those who love to hear their own voice, whether amplified through the PA system or just from the strength of your vocal chords!
  • You must develop this most important ability to yak yakkety yak yak in front of total strangers...but do it with style and full of confidence. You must know your stuff. No BS!
4. NEVER GIVE UP-PERSISTENT
  • This business is for those who can go the distance! You cannot see results if after joining the business for a few months, you are ready to throw in the towel and call it quits!
  • As I have always been telling my downlines and networking associates, you can liken this situation to climbing a coconut tree. You have to keep climbing the tree trunk until you finally reach the very top or where the fruit stalks are a plenty. You give up halfway up the coconut palm, all you get is a tired depleted soul, aching all over. You need to keep going at it till you reach the nuts. :D
  • Don't stop till you reach the top!
5. ENTHUSIASM -ALL FIRED UP!
  • This business is all about enthusiasm and passion! You must keep the fire burning hot within you! You must go wholeheartedly into this business and never allow your spirits to go low and limp! You must be fully fired up and be able to last all day and night long!
  • Like a mental Viagra- you must be able to fire up the prospect's minds and take them on a full blast of spirit and energy to last you till you reach your goals and targets.
  • When you present the business, do it with a gusto that will wake up even the ones whose spirits are in a coma!
You won't go wrong if you develop and practice all these things. Lots more to share with you.
Wishing you all the best in your Uptrend business building.

Rational Directive to 'Bin' the Father's Name for Reverts!

I refer to the Perlis Mufti's directive to retain the natural father's name when anyone reverts to Islam in the State of Perlis.

After all the 'controversy' the young Mufti created by taking to task the more senior Mufti's of Malaysia with regard to the 'khalwat raids, mat skodeng, etc, this directive by him sounds reasonable and about time.

I mean it's ridiculous for the revert to Islam to have to deny his or her father after just embracing Islam.

Even during the Prophet's time, the ones who embraced the faith were not asked to rename themselves if their names weren't offensive to Islam or carried a meaning that implied worship or obedience to a deity or object of worship other than Allah the Almighty.

So, when Mufti Dr. Muhd Asri bin Zainul Abidin comes up with this directive, I support his call.

It is about time that our fellow Muslims who have embraced Islam out of their own convictions and willfully come into this faith that is their birthright, do not lose out the rights to retain their father's names.

I can just imagine the pain that the father goes through when his son or daughter embraces Islam and is forced to forfeit the right to be called as so and so , the son or daughter of so and so.

I applaud this call by the Mufti of Perlis for the doing away with the practice of naming the converts or reverts to Islam having to be named bin or binti Abdullah.

Although I appreciate and fully support his call to maintain or retain the father's names when a revert embraces Islam, I'd like to draw his attention to certain cases where the father's name carries a certain meaning.

I would like to ask Dr.Asri if names that revere the Hindu deities like Ramalingam in the Hindu faith are allowed to be retained by the new Muslim?

Ramalingam as what I understand means the 'male genitalia' of Rama, the Hindu deity. Is that permissible?

Since he is the 'Mufti' and is 'licenced to issue fatwa's '; what does he have to say about a situation like this?

I am not trying to put the man in a spot but since we are being dictated to abide by what the 'Ulul Amri' and 'titled ones' with a PhD in Islamic theology, etc, let's ask all that we want to know and understand from the scholars ?

Would it be permissible for the reverts to Islam to retain their father's names that represent a deity's name or as in the example above carry a name so suggestive or even be a bit gross like that?

Just asking. What does the learned Mufti have to say about that?

Bloggers Cutting Through Media Censorship!

I refer to the recent comments by the Malaysian Prime Minister and his cabinet ministers who have been saying negative things about Bloggers being liars, etcetera!

The audacity of our leaders to go and speak like country bumpkins without realizing that they are there in office because of the Malaysian voting citizens who put them there in the first place!

Being civil servants who are 'enjoying' the privileges of their government high office as a result of the voters 'trust and high expectations' of the chaps who begged for the votes of the people during the General Elections but become 'foul mouthed' arrogant persons when their mistakes and errors are highlighted by the public!

Being bloody sensitive for what? You have to be accountable for all that you do when we have voted you into place. I mean the ones in office.

The ones who have been appointed by the PM, well, what can we expect but total subservience of the appointed ones to the PM, like this Tourism Minister?

When one who is already past his prime gets appointed into office and starts to enjoy the perks that come with high office, it is just natural for anyone in his position to go curry favors with his boss, but he must never forget that it is the people who will decide where they will be in the next General Elections!

To go around saying that 80% of the people who have become Bloggers are 'unemployed liars' is a bit too much for an 'apple polisher'! Click here to read about the idiotic statement by the chap!

It is a bit stupid for them who are now in their government top positions to go around speaking so against the Bloggers as if they are faultless and 'untouchable'.

Talk about ungrateful civil servants who fail to realize that it is the duty of the public to point out to them whatever mistakes they are doing or have done!

A Prime Minister or Cabinet Minister who acts as if he is afflicted with the 'touch me not' syndrome is only asking to be voted out in the next General Elections. Why do I say so?

When you insult the very people who stood in the blazing suns and lined up all over the nation to cast a bloody vote for you, you will surely not get our votes the next time around!

Those who still go and vote for these chaps are either thick skinned or just plain stupid and deserve to be insulted by them.

Go on and spew forth your verbal diarrhea and further alienate yourself from the masses. Too many screw ups and foul plays have taken place in the nation since the new government has come into power. This is only the first phase of the current administration's running of Malaysia.

To insult the Bloggers is an act of plain ignorance of the great service we are doing for the world.

Bloggers are doing the world a great service in the dissemination of information about anything and everything that is happening before us in the world.

By being able to post straight to the internet, Bloggers cut through Media Censorship and are able to share their writings with the world free from bias and censorship. There is no editor telling us what to print, how to print or what to post. NO CENSORSHIP!

I am not saying that Bloggers are all a 100% correct in their postings. There are those who post unfounded stuff and at times post things unfit for publishing. We know who they are.

If they post seditious articles that endanger the nation or create a situation that will cause public unrest or uproar , then by all means, take them to task. The law is there to punish those who go over the line. If it is proven that there is malicious intent, skewer the fella!

These type of bloggers will naturally fade away from the scene when their blogs do not get the support from readers and they will stop writing on their own.

We as Bloggers must take responsibility over what we say or share in our blogs. That does not mean that we must just write what pleases the ones in power!

It defeats the purpose of blogging! We blog because we have the facilities to do so now, in these times. The Government of Malaysia must not forget that they actually stand to gain from all the blogging being done.

They can get precious feedback from the citizens direct. Use what's good and forget the useless ones.

But to go around saying that 80% of the Bloggers are lying and 'unemployed' is a bit too much and smacks of both arrogance and stupidity!

If they still keep speaking like this, I just know that these fellows won't be around the next GE!

Don't you Bloggers think so? What goes around comes around! They ask for it by lambasting us without knowing that what comes out of their mouths is gonna be kicking them in their ass very soon! Just wait and see!

Life is just like a wheel. Everyone has his or her day. Bloggers will have ours soon. Believe it!

Leadership Values - Part 1

Assalamualaikum dear Muslims and May Peace be upon you Non Muslims too.

I would like to share with you some tips and pointers about being a leader in business especially in E-Commerce and Networking which involves intense interactions with other human beings and dealing with so much emotions and passions that you will have to deal with in your day to day business buildings.

Many who want to be leaders in business and aim to succeed in our kind of people based dealings ought to take note of certain values that when put to practice will definitely give them the edge in being top notch dynamic leaders.

If you want to be kings and queens in Uptrend Networks, then polish your skills and practice the values being shared with you in this article.

Choose Your Leadership Values

The following are examples of such Leadership values.

You might use these as the starting point for discussing values within your business teams :

Ambition :

  • Ambition is the driving force within every person who desires to go achieve a target or objective that he or she has set in his or her heart.
  • Without having ambition, one might as well do not attempt to do anything in the first place.
  • To be successful in anything, one must inculcate the need and desire to reach one's goal in one's chosen field of activity.
  • Thus, ambition is the core of each and every winner throughout the history of mankind.

Competency

  • Being competent assures one of being able to complete what one starts.
  • There is no point of doing anything if one is ill equipped to do the task.
  • You must not go and start a business or apply for a job when you do not have the skills or the know how of doing it proper.
  • What more when you are going to lead a team of people who sign up under you, expecting you to lead them to success and glory? S
  • So, do the right thing and go study the business well before starting anything.

Individuality :

  • To be a winner in a business like E-Commerce, you must develop your own style of leadership and Individuality.
  • Following the example of a successful business leader is one thing but trying to be an exact copy or clone of a millionaire such as Cikgu Ahmad Amiruddin will just be a waste of your time and effort.
  • Cikgu Amir is a fine example of a winner but we do not need to see clones of him running around Uptrend.
  • Let him be himself and you start being your own winning personality. Be yourself. Be the best that you can be.
  • God created us all unique in our own ways. We should be proud of our own identity.
  • Break away from the copycat mindset. Realize your own true potential.

Integrity :

  • To be somebody in this dynamic and challenging field of E-Commerce requires us to maintain and preserve our integrity.
  • We can't afford to screw up our future successes by succumbing to our greed to be rich and wealthy at the expense of others who have placed their trusts in us.
  • Wealth obtained fraudulently and by deceit is not going to raise anyone's name and reputation.
  • We live in a society where we will always be in the public scrutiny and observations.
  • Do not let the craving of power and financial accumulations cloud your judgments of being just and honest in your business dealings.
  • It is very important for you to preserve your integrity all along the way to achieving your goals and targets of becoming the next multi millionaires in Uptrend!
  • The second you screw up and misappropriate someone else's membership fees or bonuses and eat of what is not rightfully yours, you will have destroyed your name and reputation which will be sullied forever no matter that you return every sen you took or even repaid the victim double or triple the amount you swindled him or her of. Don't mess up!
Service :
  • If there is one thing that separates the winners and the losers here in Uptrend Networks is the way, the winning Leaders do their business build ups and the way some of the persons who have joined this business find themselves in a quagmire of their own choosing.
  • Servicing your downlines means that you care for them and sincerely want to see them grow PROVIDED that those downlines themselves have the interest and the passion to improve their business building skills and knowhow.
  • If your downlines need you to present to their prospects and they ask you to help them out, then it is your responsibility to help them out. You must try your best to be there for them. Failure to do so will only estrange you from your downlines thus weakening your team and slowly but surely destroy your chances of making it in this business. This is a people based business. If you fail to click with your team; you will fail in this business!
Responsibility:
  • Be responsible to yourself by putting in your part of the work and effort in building your team. Your uplines can only do so much for you. Do not act as parasites and suck the life out of him or her with your constant demands and whinings. There's no point in wringing the life out of your uplines and snuff them out with unnecessary requests.
  • This business is YOUR OWN BUSINESS! You must build this business on your own. Your uplines can help you out if you go about it in a proper manner.
  • They ARE NOT OBLIGATED to you but if they wish to, they can sort of smoothen the way for you. It all depends how your relationship with your upline is. If your relationship with him or her is good, they'd naturally want to help you out but if you fail to keep in contact with them, how do you expect to get help from them in the first place?

I will be following up this series on Leadership Values with more important aspects of Leadership Values that a winning Business Team Leader in Uptrend must possess or develop.

You can be the best leader that you can be by practicing all these values daily and keep improving on them. There are lots of good values that can boost you to be the superstar you can be by teaching them in turn to your downlines. And so on...

As a leader, choose the values and the ethics that are most important to you, the values and ethics you believe in and that define your character.

Then live them visibly every day at work. Living your values is one of the most powerful tools available to you to help you lead and influence others.

Don't waste your best opportunity.

I am Zainol Abideen and I am Team ZAINKING's Business Group Leader! Call / sms me at 6-016-3969881 if you want to join me in making more money and pay off your bills in a year plus by working together with me in building your own Uptrend Business Networks!

Arabianisation of the Malaysian Muslims - A study

Assalamualaikum dear Muslims of the world.

Hope you are all in the best of health and striving to increase your wealth. Amin.

This posting is dedicated to the Malays of Nusantara. Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Indonesia. Please take your time to digest what I am saying here and look at it positively.

The topic I am writing about is the Arabianisation of the Malays in Malaysia and the other Nusantara nations in South East Asia.

Some of you might think that I am bashing the Arabs here which is surely not my intention ; so wise up and read properly through the posting. The main contention is the social impact here.

I would like to address the matter of Arabianisation slowly creeping into and destroying the ancient and rich heritage of the Malays of this world where some Malays either out of religious inclinations or just plain ignorant to know how to differentiate between cultural assimilations and just copying each and every bit of the Arabian way of life.

This Arabianisation is slowly eroding the Malay culture and norms. I for one think it's not right.
I grew up in a Malay village , East of Jelutong, Penang Island, Malaysia. My childhood consisted of dressing up as a Malay, practicing the Malay culture and living life as an ordinary Malaysian Muslim.

The manner of dressing back then was the usual Malay baju kurung for the females , batik sarongs, baju kebayas, and just selendangs or shawls draped across one's head for the ladies.

Young kids wore blouses, skirts and slacks. None wore the 'tudung' back then. Only the adults or those who were a bit religious had worn the shawl over the heads.

Men wore slacks and trousers and were dressed in shirts, some short sleeved, some short sleeved. Kids like me wore short trousers, the kind you see being worn by P.Ramlee in his black and white movie @ Penarik Beca.

Being poor, saw me not having underwear to wear and sitting down wearing those flared shorts was a real hassle , in trying to keep my privates from peeping out!

Hahahahaha! Well aerated, one might say! Hehehehehe..those days!...only rich kids had their parents buy them 'spendar'... poor kids like me went 'au naturel' albeit wearing those flared shorts.

T shirts were not known then and the closest to that was the Chinese Pagoda white cotton short sleeved singlets or the singlet.

On Fridays, when it was time for prayers, we wore our Baju Melayu's or Baju Telok Belanga, complete with our 'songkoks'. Those who had gone to Makkah and performed their Hajj wore the white skull caps or wore 'serbans' and jubah's @ the long white flowing robes to the masjid.

As I got older, by the time I was in Standard Six, I had progressed to wearing long pants and grew ashamed to wearing shorts.

I came to realize that my 'aurat' needed to be covered and from then on, gave up wearing my shorts except when I went swimming in the sea or the rivers.

The 'aurat' or 'area of modesty' for a man is from his navel to the knee.

If a Male Muslim wanted to pray, he just had to keep his person covered from the navel to the knee and after taking ablution , he can pray to Allah provided he keeps his self covered and protected from other's view of him praying like that. Anyway, that is in the worst case scenario.

People living here in Malaysia are now not that poor anymore. Even a squatter living in squalid conditions can still afford to dress appropriately and has at least a sarong to wear and a shirt to clothe himself when he wants to pray.

Ladies need to cover themselves except their face, hands from the wrists below and the feet from their ankle downwards.

The usual attire for Malaysian Muslim women when in prayer is to wear their 'telekungs' or 'prayer attire for women' @ an all encompassing shroud like prayer garb that covers their whole self except the face and hands. even their feet are covered.

After prayer, both men and women can dress normally as the Malay form of dressing and based upon their culture.

The advent of the wearing of the 'tudung' here in Malaysia started with the 'Jama'ah Al Arqam' @ a movement started by Hj Ashaari Muhammad who started to dress in the signature Al- Arqam green robes and turbans , which was followed by his male followers and the all encompassing black colored or sombre looking robes by the female Al Arqam Muslimahs and their unique 'tudung labuh's', a longer form of tudung that distinguishes them from the ordinary Muslim females.
Before the advent of the Jama'ah al Arqam led by Ustaz Hj Ashaari, the general Malay populations dressed as the ordinary people of those times.

The ladies used to go about bareheaded or with hairdo's like beehives. Perms and coiffures were the fashions of the day and they used to compete with each other as to who had the latest hairdo's etcetera.

This is a reality that the Malays must accept. That the Arqam folks have caused a revolution in their life.
Soon, Malays in general started to wear these Jubah's and wear the tudungs to signify that they are Muslims who are following the commandment by Allah the Almighty God as per the Verses 30 and 31 in Surah An Nur commanding Believing Men and Women to dress appropriately when in public and certain limits when being in your own privacy.

Now, that's fine by me and I ascribe to the commandments of God for it elevates the stature of us Believers in Allah and raises our image in society by dressing well to cover our modesty and all that.

It is nice to see our Malay ladies wear the tudung nowadays. They look so sweet and pleasant to look at.
Here is a fine example of one of my Uptrend business builder friend who doesn't mind me placing her photo here for you to see.

She looks so demure and clean, doesn't she?

A great business team leader - single and available :P

She is a fine example of how a good Muslim lady should be and she is a 100% aware of how she needs to dress in public and maintain her purity as a Mukminah! Alhamdulillah.

Back to the topic. The one thing that I find a bit discomforting is to see the culture of the Malays fast being eroded by the creeping in of the Arabian way of dressing into the mainstream way of life that we have enjoyed all these years here in Malaysia.

I have nothing against my Arab brethren and I respect their culture tremendously. Wallahi!

Only thing I am starting to get uncomfortable with is the way some parents here sort of lose their sense of tradition and start suffocating their young babies with tudungs and press on the skull caps on kids who are too young to know what is aurat and what it is not?

I am all for the raising of our kids properly and teaching them to cover their modesty well and all that but why do we have to dress them as Arabs?
We are Malays and no matter if we dress ourselves with Arabian garb, we will always still be Malays!
I am an Indian Muslim by birth but my culture is a 100% Malay!
I do not know any Indian Muslim culture for as much as I know there simply is none!
Indian Muslims either follow the thin line between the Indian subcontinent culture or they follow the Malays in their ways. Those of us here in Malaysia opt for the latter.

I am appalled to see my fellow Malaysians here start to forget and fail to preserve the traditional heritage and culture of the Malays !
I am further saddened to see many, many Malays foolishly ape the fashions of either the decadent West or go extremely overboard with trying to out Arab the Arabs!

Malays must be proud of their cultures and wear their traditional clothes with confidence.
The Malay dress is both of high standards and well fashioned. Most suitable for the Malaysian climate and surroundings.
It doesn't have to mean that by not dressing as the Arabs, you are any less a Muslim! No sirree!

This erosion of the Malay culture is further expounded by the manner of speech and behaviorism of those who call themselves as Ustaz and Ustazah's !

They go around speaking 'Ana' ; 'Anta ; and so on to 'show' that they are more Arabic than the average Malay!
Who are they trying to fool? A Malay will always be a Malay! There is no need to try and be somebody else! We are all equal before Allah! No more no less! Don't you think so?

I hope that the Malays of this ancient land will realize what they have inherited is far too precious and priceless to just let it all go to oblivion in the folds of Time.
They must preserve and keep alive their forefathers traditions and social cultures that do not go against the faith of Al Islam.

We can all be good Muslims and yet live proudly by practicing our time tested and much honored Malay traditional customs and mannerism of dressing and behaviors.

As it is , nowadays, the Malays are divided into two extremes. One tries to be as Western as they can whilst the other tries to out Arab the Arabs!
These kids are all dressed in their Baju Melayu's and Baju Kurung's. Don't they look nice and presentable?

Why do they need to copy any other cultures when their own traditions and social history is so very rich and precious?

Let all Malays who get to read this know for sure that amongst the major cultures of the whole world, the traditional way of life of the Malays is considered to be the best where values of the East and fitting the religious principles of Islam , Ad Deen ul Haqq are best suited like a jigsaw puzzle.
Be yourselves and not Arab wannabes! You're perfect as you are!
May Allah SWT guide the Malays accordingly. Amin. Wassalamualaikum!

Jeriau Falls at Fraser Hill

If there is one thing that I can't resist to see, is a waterfall or clear cool river that is not congested with people!

Jeriau Falls is just a 20 mins walking distance from the road leading to the falls at Fraser Hill.

The pathway is flanked on both sides by ferns and tropical flora.

I came across wild animal tracks that I suspect to be those of wild boars.

My conclusion is based on the hoof marks that ran deep in the soft mud banks near the river.

The boars were probably feeding on the earthworms as the place looked quite turned over like the paddy farmers prepare their rice fields with earth turning equipments.

The boars probably come to the riverbanks at night as there was no sign of any in the daytime.

There was a lady photographing the animal tracks with her SLR camera.

Mazlina from Bank Rakyat KL HQ with her friend Ummu.

The falls were not that deep as usual due to heavy accumulation of sand from the stream above but the impact of the waters was very powerful and I couldn't take the pounding too long!

The water was very pulverizing and this 48 year old body is not that tough to take the pummeling at this age and I had to just be by the edge of the falls and receive a natural body pounding massage by the raging falls!

One thing I regret is seeing the visitors to the falls recklessly throw their garbage indiscriminately at the garbage can. The rubbish was strewn all over the garbage disposal area and it looked like the Majlis Daerah Raub rubbish disposal crew had not done their job for ages!

The toilet facilities had no water supply when ironically there was a strong flowing river just at it's doorsteps.

As I know, even the Orang Asli's were clever enough to tap into the flowing clear river and erect a natural water supply system with bamboos that were dipped into the flowing current and then transporting the water straight up onto the hillslopes and into their huts.

Why can't the Majlis Daerah Raub use the same techniques albeit using plastic water pipes and supply the water to those toilets which are now rendered useless without water?

It's not that expensive to install those durable water supply pipes that are sorely needed by visitors who have to answer their 'call of nature' in a proper manner than be reduced to shit all over the place or go peeing in the jungle!

There would be 'consequences' of doing so in a tropical forest! I don't want to say it but you know that forests are dwelling places of jinns and their types and it is just not wise to go do stuff that might see you end up with a swollen weenie or other afflictions.

I remember an episode where I brought home a river stone well polished and rounded from Sungai Congkak when I was living at the Ayers Tower in Taman Kosas, Ampang, Selangor.

I had taken the stone from the jungle stream to be used as a heating stone to massage away body pains using heat treatment. The thing was that I had taken the stone without permission from either the forest rangers or even just ask aloud to Allah Almighty as I should.

That night, when I went to the kitchen where I had left the stone, I felt my body hairs stand on end and I realised that there was a presence of an unseen spirit. It gave me the creeps and I immediately recited the Ayatul Qursi and protected myself.

The next day, I called up the local Imam of the masjid nearby who referred me to speak to Ustaz Ismail Kamus, who is well known for his prowess in dealing with the spiritual world especially in exorcising jinns and evil spirits away from those who are possessed.

Ustaz Ismail Kamus then taught me to recite certain verses of the Surah Al jinn which I promptly did when I was back home.

He also asked me to throw away the stone and the jungle 'helicopter like' seedlings which I had brought home with me as 'souvenirs' from my Sungai Congkak trip.

Once I returned home, I immediately did as I was taught by the Ustaz and the minute I touched the stone and the seedlings , I again felt a chill and my arm hairs and all other hairs stood up! Phewww!

Reciting the verses of the Surah Al jinn, I took the stone and the seeds to the rubbish disposal area at the condo I was staying in and dumped them through the chute! At last!!!

Good riddance! When I returned home and went to the kitchen, everything was back to normal.

I didn't feel anything anymore and knew that whatever it was that followed me home with the stone had gone forever! Alhamdulillah!

Now, I know better. If I go to the forest reserves or go swimming in the rivers or streams, I no longer bring back anything but snap some photographs and leave nothing but my footprints there.

The spirits or jinns do exist out there in the world all around us . We just have to learn not to take stuff from the forests without permission from those guarding them. I have learned my lesson.

The trip to Jeriau Falls was well worth it and I look forward to exploring other falls like Sungai Gabai, etc at Hulu Selangor this weekend. Care to join me take a dip in the waters?

Meaning behind all these famous brand names!

Here's a list of various major company and brand names that you have known but possibly haven't understood what's the meaning behind them.

My missus who is a Senior Computer Science lecturer shared them with me and here I am passing these info to you. Hope you can pass it around too. Knowledge is to be shared!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Adobe - came from the name of the Adobe Creek river that ran behind the house of founder John Warnock.
Apache - It got its name because its founders got started by applying patches to code written for NCSA's http daemon. The result was 'A PAtCHy' server -- thus, the name Apache.
Apple Computers - favorite fruit of founder Steve Jobs. He was three months late in filing a name for the business, and he threatened to call his company Apple Computers if the other colleagues didn't suggest a better name by 5 o'clock.
CISCO - its not an acronym but the short term for the city of San Francisco.
Google - the name started as a joke boasting about the amount of information the search-engine would be able to search. It was originally named 'Googol', a word for the number represented by 1 followed by 100 zeros. After founders, Stanford grad students Sergey Brin and Larry Page presented their project to an angel investor, they received a cheque made out to 'Google'
Hotmail - Founder Jack Smith got the idea of accessing e-mail via the web from a computer anywhere in the world. When Sabeer Bhatia came up with the business plan for the mail service, he tried all kinds of names ending in 'mail' and finally settled for hotmail as it included the letters "html" - the programming language used to write web pages. It was initially referred to as HoTMaiL with selective upper casing.
HP - Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard tossed a coin to decide whether the company they founded would be called Hewlett-Packard or Packard-Hewlett.
Intel - Bob Noyce and Gordon Moore wanted to name their new company 'Moore Noyce' but that was already trademarked by a hotel chain, so they had to settle for an acronym of INTegrated ELectronics.
Lotus (Notes) - Mitch Kapor got the name for his company from 'The Lotus Position' or 'Padmasana'. Kapor used to be a teacher of Transcendental Meditation (by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi).
Microsoft - coined by Bill Gates to represent the company that was devoted to MICROcomputer SOFTware. Originally christened as Micro-Soft, the '-' was removed later on.
Motorola - Founder Paul Galvin came up with this name when his company started manufacturing radios for cars. The popular radio company at the time was called Victrola.
ORACLE - Larry Ellison and Bob Oats were working on a consulting project for the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency). The code name for the project was called Oracle
(acronym for: One Real Asshole Called Larry Ellison)
Red Hat - Company founder Marc Ewing was given the Cornell lacrosse team cap (with red and white stripes) while at college by his grandfather. He lost it and had to search for it desperately. The manual of the beta version of Red Hat Linux had an appeal to readers to return his Red Hat if found by anyone !
SAP - "Systems, Applications, Products in Data Processing", formed by 4 ex-IBM employees who used to work in the 'Systems/Application s/Projects"
SUN - founded by 4 Stanford University buddies, SUN is the acronym for Stanford University Network.
Xerox - The inventor, Chestor Carlson, named his product trying to say 'dry' (as it was dry copying, markedly different from the then prevailing wet copying). The Greek root 'xer' means dry.
Yahoo! - the word was invented by Jonathan Swift and used in his book 'Gulliver's Travels'.
It represents a person who is repulsive in appearance and action and is barely human.
Yahoo! founders Jerry Yang and David Filo selected the name because they considered themselves as 'yahoos'.
Ulu Yam Rivers and Fraser Hill forests are being heavily polluted!
This is the sorry state of the Ulu Yam River in Hulu Selangor.
Untreated rubbish and all kinds of stuff are dumped into the river through the open drains.
At the rate this pollution is being let to destroy the ecology of the river system there, I dare say that the river will soon be a foul stinking open sewer within the next few years.
The local authorities of the country are the ones who are responsible over the preservation of our nation's environment and who have been neglecting all the rivers and water sources of this once beautiful and pristine peninsular that was the 'Golden Chersonese' to many travellers and seafarers who stopped by our once crystal clear rivers to get their water supplies.
Sadly, not that many of our rivers are safe to drink straight up without being treated in the first place. Click onto the picture here and see for yourself the extent of the pollution that is killing our river systems as a result of indiscriminate dumping of garbage by stupid Malaysians!
Yeah, let me repeat it ! MALAYSIANS IN GENERAL ARE BLOODY STUPID when it comes to knowing how to dispose off their garbage!
Most Malaysians do not teach their children basic civic etiquettes of how to care for the environment. They do not set good examples to their children because they themselves would not think twice about dumping their waste materials here and there as they please.
If you try to advice them, they'd either give you a dirty look or challenge you to do something about it! Sheesh!
Even educated parents let their offspring just chuck their waste onto the floors of restaurants, shopping malls, the nation's highways as they speed along without a care as to what happens to the trash they leave behind!
As we drove down from Frasers Hill, we saw a whole hillslope covered with garbage and a Majlis Perbandaran Raub garbage dumpster unloading more garbage down the slopes of a hill there!
What kind of garbage disposal methods is being carried out by the local council?
Is the Ministry of Environment full of sleeping idiots who do not bother to go stop these irresponsible destruction of our nation's forests and pollution of the supposedly protected forest reserves?
I believe Karam Singh Walia is the right person for me to notify about this atrocious acts by the polluters from the Majlis Perbandaran Raub Rubbish Disposal Department!
As usual, he is the only guy who gets the message across to the numbskulls warming their seats in all the local city councils until they get prodded in their fat asses by the exposes by Karam Singh Walia of TV3!
Rosnah Mat Aris is lucky to be left alive!
I refer to the stupid verbal diarrhoea of a 52 year old hag who had the audacity to insult the person of Saiyidatina Siti Khadijah, Radhiallahu Anha, the blessed first wife of our Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam and now who claims to have repented for her sinful act on the live telecast programme 'Sensasi' over TV3 which has now been banned together with the ugly bitch!
I had refrained from commenting earlier on this upsetting matter for fear of not being able to control my disgust and rage at the old hag who has clearly made her sorry self to be included in the same category of the accursed Salman Rushdie and other useless scum who seek attention by blaspheming the Holy Messenger of God Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam and now this bitch who has spoken so rudely about the person whom Rasulullah SAW so loved in his life!
Who the hell is Rosnah Mat Aris when compared to the distinguished and most respected spouse of Muhammad ibni Abdullah, Saiyidatina Khadijah Radhiallahu Anha?
I can just imagine the scenario if this bitch had done as she did during the times of the Prophet SAW lifetime...her head would have immediately been chopped off by any of the Sahabahs Radhiallahu Anhu.
Does this ugly self forgetting buffoon realise the tremendous stature of Saiyidatina Siti Khadijah Radhiallahu Anha in the life of the world's Muslims?
Siti Khadijah (May Allah be pleased with her) was the first person who believed in the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam when he came down from the Mountain of Light after receiving the Prophethood of Islam from Almighty Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala through the Archangel Jibreel Alaihis Salam in the Cave of Hira'.
The insulting manner by which this rotten piece of garbage in human form compared her worthless self to the noble and blessed spouse of our Beloved Prophet must never be left to slide and forgotten by any Muslim worth his or her name!
Dato Zainuddin Maidin , the Minister of Information must stick to his decision to ban the bitch from any RTM programmes and teach her a lesson not to spew forth anymore deep shit she has stored in her bleached pus colored cranium!
She's just lucky to be living in Malaysia and to be left alive! If she was in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh or neighbouring Indonesia, it would be a different story for her!
They would have hunted her down and ripped her to shreds for daring to insult the person who helped Almighty Allah's Greatest Messenger , Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam in his earliest days of being appointed to be the Final Messenger of Allah, the darling of our Rasul Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam, Ummul Mukminin, Saiyidatina Siti Khadijah, Radhiallahu Anha.
Do not allow her to get off so easily! For if you do, you are her accomplices in blasphemy against the spouse of the Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam. Na'uzu billahi min zalik!
Those who can understand Malay and understand the manner by which this jackass spews forth her insulting mannerism in relating to the age of Saiyidatina Siti Khadijah Radhiallahu Anha when The Blessed Lady married Our Glorious Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam will definitely be greatly angered to see the way she spoke in the programme!
Watch how the stupid audience laughed at the insulting manners and the idiot host of the programme goes on to 'pray' that the old hag finds her match soon! Yeah! She's gonna be matched to the most stupid man in Malaysia who is cursed to be her mate!
This is Ustaz Akil Hayy Rawa, a young rocker turned Preacher commenting on the matter.
KOSMO besmears E-Commerce to boost it's circulation!
KOSMO, the Malay tabloid newspaper today has committed a vile attack on E-Commerce in a most biased 'reporting' by some dumbass reporter in it's edition today!
The only thing missing is a convenient scapegoat tarred and feathered placed astride a jackass facing south and driven through the village square!
I mean, it's usual for a bloody tabloid to sensationalise any issues just to stir up public interest and most certainly to increase it's circulation when the affected parties have to resort to buying the tabloid to read about the sensationalised matter!
Shock and disgust people to the extreme extent that they are driven to go spend a RM1.00 and 'forced' to go buy this thrashy news tabloid just to find out what shit this paper is stirring up against the Malaysian E-Commerce businesses?
Talk about trying to smear the reputation and good name of a business that has and is improving the finances of hundreds of millions of successful E-Commerce Business Professionals throughout the world!
What a lowly unprofessional act by this tabloid and the reporting culprit! I am truly offended by this unfounded report by this cheap tactic of this paper!
The usage of the word 'perdaya' gives the impression that Direct Selling and MLM companies 'dupe' college and university students into joining them!
This reporter maliciously accuses MLM companies and E-Commerce business builders of misleading such students to 'invest' their scholarship funds and cash and 'lose it all' in the 'get rich quick' scams!
What a load of bullshit! If it was some mad idiot uttering nonsense by the roadside, we can just ignore that bum!
But this is a national tabloid! We can't just stand idly by and let this accusation slide without taking the tabloid to task! This is just not right!
"Pancing duit PTPTN" declares the reporter in this misleading report that accuses certain 'agents' of MLM companies of 'fishing for the loan funds given to the students by the National Higher Education Loans Board or 'PTPTN' in the Malay acronym that it is known by.
The accompanying 'confessions' of students who claim to have lost their money to these 'agents' of the MLM companies is asserted by the numbskull who has a hidden agenda to besmear and sensationalise this misleading accusation against the E-Commerce industry!
Being a Business Team Leader in Uptrend Network and heading Team ZAINKING, I take extreme offence to this attempt to accuse the E-Commerce Business builders in general for the failures of ill informed, naive and incompetent losers who do not know nuts about the business!
Does one go and accuse the E-Commerce industry as a whole for the failures of the miserable few?
Those who do not learn basic business skills and train to be successful leaders in this proven to be beneficial internet based but still very much a solid professional moneymaking business?
A business that has made millionaires out of ordinary folks who built their business from scratch yet now shine forth as multi millionaires and even as billionaires?
I ask this tabloid to be responsible and state which particular MLM company or companies that their report intends to expose as frauds?
If their news reporter has concrete proof that certain MLM companies and their 'agents' have cheated the students the tabloid claims to have interviewed and based their 'report' on, then by all means go and lodge a police report against the 'criminals'!
Tabloids and even mainline newspapers are infamous for publishing false reports and made to order news just to spark off an increase in their newspaper sales and add to their circulations!
Editors are forced to order their reporters and journalists to create hot stories just to get more people curious enough to learn about the 'sensational' reports concocted and 'newsflashes' meant to boost newspaper sales!
It is irresponsible of KOSMO to publish such misleading reports against the E-Commerce and Networking Business here in our nation.
You do not go around slandering an industry that has changed and is changing the lifes of so many good, decent, seriously committed success oriented business builders for the failure of a few idiots in college or university who out of their own volition went forth and signed up for such businesses!
These losers surely have failed to do what they should, that is to focus on their studies first and even if they had no other option but to get involved in such side income earning businesses, to properly study and go about building their businesses without forsaking their academic studies!
Just because one does not have the skills and capabilities of succeeding in their pursuits, it doesn't qualify them to say that they were cheated or that the E-Commerce business is at fault!
You don't go climb a coconut tree, stop after a few feet up the trunk, then say that the coconuts are rotten and the fruits spoilt!
KOSMO must report fairly when addressing this matter that has far reaching implications for those of us who are building our individual business networks responsibly and honestly.
Although, their report has not been made directly at me or the company I am involved with, I still feel slighted and am pissed off at this idiot who didn't do her homework properly before shooting off her mouth or in this case , her befuddled confused excuse of having a devoid cranial content!
I surely hope that the general public realise that this report by KOSMO is malicious in it's content and misleading in general. The fault of losers in business surely must not be blamed on E-Commerce as the onus is upon them to go about it in a professional way. They failed to do so!
I hereby challenge the reporter to put things in their right perpective and to go lodge a police report against the 'cheaters' whom she accuses of misappropriating the poor 'students' money!
Uptrend Network Sdn Bhd has been proven to be the best E-Commerce business here in Malaysia and now having booming businesses expanding throughout Asia in our neighbouring countries such as Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, Philiphines, Thailand, India, Pakistan, Nevada (USA) and recently in Hong Kong (China).
One does not go slander a business for the miserable failures of some who didn't equip themselves with the right business skills and acumen!
You don't blame the dancefloor when it is you who has no dancing skills! It's a lame excuse for being a jackass who does not have the flair to shine or excel in this excellent industry! Period!
Kuala Kubu Bharu and Frasers Hill Weekend Trip
I have always wanted to explore the rural areas of Selangor and visit Ulu Yam areas, the sleepy town of Kuala Kubu Bharu and drive up to Fraser Hill.
Well, I got my wish this Saturday. Bored of watching mediocre fare on Astro, me and my missus just decided that it's better for us to spend our weekend going on a drive to explore the 'ulu areas' of Selangor.
We just packed up a cooler box and went on our way to the Selangor hinterlands.
We didn't plan on staying overnight but that's exactly what we had to do. Just go with the flow.
We drove up the MRR2 and headed towards Selayang. Past Selayang, we reached the beautiful lakes of Ampangan Batu at Ulu Yam and drove on towards Kuala Kubu Bharu.
This was the first time that either of us had been to the place and we enjoyed such a beautiful vista of green forests and fresh air with manageable traffic.
It was nice to be able to get away from city life and for a day or two forget about the hassles of earning a living and paying bills, the endless bills and bills, bills, bills! Hehehehe...
After driving through countless villages and after making a stopover for lunch at a village 'warung', we continued our journey towards our destination. Kuala Kubu Bharu.
I am a huge fan of old towns and places that have withstood the challenges of time and I reminisce about my life back in the 60s when things were more laid back and easy.
I yearned to check out the old town of Kuala Kubu Bharu for myself and thus our unplanned trip to the place. The place was exactly as I envisioned it to be and it didn't disappoint me and my missus.
We shopped at an old sundry shop with lots of fresh fruits for sale. I took a snap of the largest pineapples I have ever seen being put up for sale at RM3.00 per kilo.
We bought cut fruits being sold for only 50sens per pack!
Talk about time standing still...even the prices were so low!
No wonder that most kampong folks are so flushed with cash!
Their living costs are so low when compared to life in KL and the other big cities.
We enjoyed our stopover at Kuala Kubu Bharu but then I got adventurous and started heading to Fraser Hill, a hill station that both of us have never set foot on before this.
The drive up the forest roads was both a pleasure and also dangerous with deep ravines just waiting at every corner of the winding roads that were quite narrow and cars passing us within inches of each other. Phew....had a few close calls when some lorries passed us!
My missus was so scared stiff every time we were so close to the edge of the hill roads. Thank God, we reached our destination safely and in one piece. Syukur Alhamdulillah!
We saw a few monkeys but didn't stop to take pictures of them for it was drizzling and the roads were a bit dangerous to stop by the side. Not enough spaces to do that. What can we expect from such old roads?
Anyway, we came across many wonderful sights such as many species of wild orchids growing by the roadsides and hillslopes.
The only snag was that because the road was so narrow, I had to stop, park and go run to take a snap of the flower and then rush back to our car for there was always another vehicle following up right behind.
Anyway, since there weren't that many visitors driving up to the hills, I managed to snap a few nice photos of the flora. The wild orchid was just so beautiful to just pass it by.
Another wonderful sight was the endless carpet of ferns covering the hillslopes all the way up to the Fraser Hill.
This is a snap I took of one particular fern that caught my eye.
It's really very, very therapeutic to be out there amidst all the greenery and fresh mountain air.
Every now and then a mist would come flowing past the road and we can smell the fresh air so sweet, so refreshing that I wished I could just be there all year long.
Lots more to share with you in my next post about our journey to Fraser Hill yesterday. C ya!
RPK's News Flash- Abdullah Badawi Remarries, etc!
Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
RPK @ YM Raja Petra Kamarudin, Editor and Owner of the hottest Alternative News Blog in the nation @ Malaysia-Today.Net has posted a newsflash that is sure going to stir a lot of reactions from concerned Malaysians especially Bloggers with his juiciest news posting in his blog!
Among the 'news' coming from RPK is of Najib getting slapped by Rosmah Mansor, his spouse ; Abdullah Badawi @ Malaysia's PM getting married in a hush hush family affair and the real truth as to who calls the shot in the DPM's residence?
I leave it to you to decipher and discover the truth behind these newsflash. As usual RPK's done it again. He is a blogger who doesn't fear any repercussions from his exposes about the nation's top guns!
May they be aware that no matter what measures are done to muzzle the truth, a bit slips out here and there as a result of the seams coming apart at the mailbox! Too many secrets to keep in! The news and actual happenings can no longer be covered up by the spin doctors!
Read and reflect.
Najib Tun Razak should never have been appointed Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi did not want Najib but then Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad forced his hand and gave him no choice in the matter.
Actually, in spite of all the arm-twisting, Pak Lah was still recalcitrant and, as the Malays would say, buat bodoh saja.Mahathir detected that Pak Lah was playing for time.
Of course, Pak Lah did not come right out and refuse to consider Najib for number two.
He just dragged his feet and delayed making the announcement while hoping that Mahathir would eventually ease off or lose interest in the whole matter.
But Mahathir is like a dog with a bone. Once he gets his teeth into something, it is very difficult to get him to let go again.
Take the Crooked Bridge, the sale of sand to Singapore, the Singapore-Malaysia water supply agreement, Proton, MV Agusta, and all those other issues close to his heart.
Even at the risk of sounding like a stuck record he is not relenting and continues to bang away until what he views as transgressions are rectified.
In that same spirit Mahathir was not about to allow Pak Lah to get his own way in the matter of the appointment of his number two.
It was going to be Najib and no one else. And Mahathir pulled off a marvellous coup in getting what he wanted.
Earlier, the senior civil servants had approached Mahathir to invite him to a farewell dinner.
Since he had already retired, and Pak Lah was now the Prime Minister, Mahathir did not see any point in the farewell dinner.
You normally say farewell and honour one with a farewell dinner just before one goes, not after one has already left, and Mahathir said so. But the delegation insisted they honour Mahathir with a farewell dinner.
That was probably when an idea popped into Mahathir’s head. Always one to think on his feet, I would not put it past him to see an opportunity in this proposed farewell dinner.
He agreed to the belated farewell party on condition they also invite Pak Lah. After all, Pak Lah is the Prime Minister so it would not be good manners to exclude him from the festivities. That was Mahathir’s condition.
If they invite Pak Lah, and if Pak Lah agrees to attend, then he would agree to the dinner. If not, then no dinner.So the delegation went off and approached Pak Lah and explained to the Prime Minister the term to get Mahathir to agree to the dinner.
If Pak Lah refuses to attend, then the event is off, and the senior civil servants would not be able to honour Mahathir with a farewell dinner. So Pak Lah has to agree to attend to get Mahathir to also agree to the dinner.Put in that manner how could Pak Lah say no?
He would certainly not want to be the wet blanket or party pooper, so he said yes. And so both Mahathir and Pak Lah attended the dinner that night. And so too did members of the media.
And when the press asked Mahathir to make a statement, he said that he would like to thank Pak Lah for agreeing to appoint Najib as his number two.
Pak Lah was caught totally off-guard. His balls shrank and he stormed out of the room and instructed his aids to order a total news blackout on Mahathir’s statement.
Nothing is supposed to be reported in the media. But then you can control the mainstream or print media; you cannot control the alternative media or Internet. And that same night what Mahathir announced spread like wildfire through the Internet.
So the next day Pak Lah had no choice but to announce, almost 20 hours later, that Najib had in fact been appointed Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister.
By then Mahathir was beginning to suspect he had made a serious mistake in appointing Pak Lah as his successor.
It did not take him long to also realise he had made an equally serious mistake by insisting that Pak Lah take Najib as his number two.
If Pak Lah was the only mistake then this could be rectified. He could force Pak Lah’s resignation and allow Najib to take over.
But when Najib was beginning to prove an even worse mistake, how do you rectify this?
In that sort of situation you just can’t force the number one out in favour of the number two. That would be like out of the frying pan, into the fire. You either get fried or get burned. Not much of a choice is it?
Many harbour the opinion that of late Mahathir has slowed down his attacks on Pak Lah because of his heart problem. Actually it is not that at all. No heart problem is going to slow Mahathir down. He is too tough to allow a simple thing like that curtail his attacks.
It is the thought that removing Pak Lah would just allow Najib to take over that actually slowed him down.
Between the two evils, Pak Lah is the lesser.
Okay, Pak Lah may be constantly sleeping during meetings and functions. He even slept during a very important war council meeting which was called to decide how to respond to Indonesia’s sort of declaration of war by ramming one of our Navy boats.
Mahathir can live with this.
He can even live with the very greedy and in-a-hurry son-in-law who believes that Rome was built in six days while on the seventh day the ‘lord’ of all that he sees rested.
He can even live with the son who already has RM1.5 billion worth of government contracts to his credit.
But what he can’t live with is Najib’s interfering wife who thinks that after the death of Kak Endon she now plays the role of First Lady.
Well, I have news for Rosmah: Malaysia does not have a First Lady.
And even if we did, which we do not, it would be the Permaisuri Agong and not the Prime Minister’s wife who is the First Lady.
And after that we have the nine Rulers (seven Sultans, one Raja of Perlis and one Yam Tuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan) and four Undangs (of Negeri Sembilan).
So the Prime Minister’s wife is the Fifteenth Lady while the Deputy Prime Minister’s wife is the Sixteenth Lady, even if the Prime Minister is not married.
Anyway, while on the subject of the Prime Minister’s wife, some say Pak Lah married Jean Danker on 22 January 2007 while others say he will be marrying her tomorrow, 22 February 2007.
Now, which one is true we do not quite know yet but she is already following Pak Lah on his overseas trips.
In the trip he made to Perth to officiate his brother’s Nasi Kandar restaurant, it seems his daughter, Nori, went berserk when she found Jean in Pak Lah’s bedroom.
Only after Pak Lah explained that there is nothing sinister about the whole thing because they are already married did Nori calm down and, like it or not, accept the fact that her father had remarried.
The word being spread through a whispering campaign is that, just before she died, Kak Endon had endorsed Pak Lah’s marriage to Jean.
It seems, according to the spin, Kak Endon told Pak Lah that if he ever gets lonely after she has gone then he should take Jean as his wife.
This, according to those close to the late Kak Endon, is a spin meant to legitimise the marriage.
They dispute this and argue that Pak Lah had already been eyeing Jean even while Kak Endon was still alive.
Jean used to be married to Osman Mahmud, Kak Endon’s brother, so this makes Jean her sister-in-law.
Kak Endon was in fact very upset and that was why she stayed in the US and refused to come back to Malaysia.
To explain why she was in the US and not in Malaysia, they spun the story that Kak Endon was undergoing treatment which was not true.
In fact, the doctors had suggested that she return to Malaysia as there was nothing much they could do for her any longer.
Anyway, Najib went to the US to visit Kak Endon and when he returned to Malaysia he disputed the talk that there was no hope for Kak Endon and that she was only waiting for death to come claim her.
She is responding well to treatment, argued Najib.
Very soon after that Kak Endon returned to Malaysia and died, so there goes Najib’s prognosis that she was responding well to treatment and that talk of her getting ready to die were all lies being spewed by the Internet.
You can argue and deny and accuse the Internet of lying, but how do you dispute a body that is lying dead in its grave?
So who is lying now?
Kak Endon’s death was a blessing and a Godsend to Rosmah, Najib’s wife.
Kak Endon hated Rosmah and would refuse to look her in the face or talk to her.
Now she, and no longer Kak Endon, was the First Lady. Hip, hip, hooray!
But Rosmah forgot one thing; the Federal Constitution of Malaysia.
Under Malaysia’s Constitution, there is no First Lady and even if there was it would be the Agong’ wife and not the Prime Minister’s wife -- and certainly not the Deputy Prime Minister’s wife.
And another thing that Rosmah did not take into consideration is that Pak Lah would remarry.
So that relegates her back to the role of Second Lady (if you still want to insist that the Prime Minister’s wife is the First Lady).
Make no mistake; Jean Danker is a wonderful human being and a decent lady.
I have no animosity towards her and if she can resist the temptation of interfering in the running of this country I am sure even Mahathir might end up liking her as well.
In fact, I feel she makes a wonderful ‘First Lady’ and if it is true that she is already married to Pak Lah then I would like to be the first to wish her ‘Selamat Pengantin Baru’.
I also hope that Nori and Kamal would leave her alone and allow their stepmother a blissful and happy marriage.
Maybe what Malaysia needs is a lady like Jean beside Pak Lah to help our Prime Minister see the error of his ways and maybe distract him a bit from his children and children-in-law.
Pak Lah may not be perfect but the problem is compounded by his children and children-in-law who feel that the entire family instead of just Pak Lah is the Prime Minister of this country.
Anyway, that now throws the whole scenario out of whack.
With Pak Lah now married, where does that put Rosmah?
And the fact that Mahathir now considers Najib a liability does not augur well for the Prime-Minister-in-waiting.
If Rosmah just knew that Mahathir considers her as one of Najib’s stumbling blocks it would upset her even further.
But Rosmah already suspected that Mahathir is not too pleased with her.
Mahathir had been told that Rosmah screamed at Najib and slapped him in the presence of some visitors, a conduct most unbecoming of people in high office.
So Rosmah tried to ambil hati Mahathir by attending the recent Peace Conference at the Putra World Trade Centre.
I really don’t know whether that worked but it is not that easy to win Mahathir over and simple gestures like that might not quite do the trick.
Rosmah’s and Najib’s quarrel was actually about Razak Baginda.
Rosmah wanted Najib to distant himself from Razak and to let him take the fall alone.
But whatever shortcomings Najib may have, deserting friends in need is not one of them -- true to his Bugis blood as the Bugis always stand by their friends and if you take on one Bugis then you risk taking on the entire community (I should know).
But Rosmah knew that the Razak Baginda case is a time-bomb that might not only jeopardise Najib’s chances of making Prime Minister but may even see him exit as Deputy Prime Minister.
Rosmah went ballistic, screaming like a banshee. She gave Najib a tight slap which was heard in the next room where some visitors waiting to meet him were sitting most uncomfortably in their seats and wondering whether they should quietly sneak out to save Najib further embarrassment.
Talking about visitors, recently four people came to meet Najib and Rosmah came out to interrogate them as to whether they were there to talk about politics or business.
When one of them asked what the difference was, Rosmah replied that if they wanted to talk about politics then they can meet Najib, but if it was about business then they should talk to her instead.
The appalled visitors then remembered one Ministry of Defence meeting that was chaired by Rosmah while Najib just sat there quietly as Rosmah took the chair as the de facto Defence Minister.
Rafidah Aziz actually raised this matter at one Cabinet meeting and asked whether Najib or Rosmah is the Defence Minister.Mahathir no longer feels that Najib should be the next Prime Minister.
As much as he wants Pak Lah out of office, the prospect of Najib talking over is even worse.
Pak Lah may not realise it, but having Najib as his number two may yet be what saves him.
Pak Lah may have felt at that time that being forced to take Najib as his number two was a curse.
On hindsight, I am sure Pak Lah feels that this is still the best move yet.
If he had taken someone else more suitable than Najib as his number two, then there would be every incentive to remove him in favour of his number two.
But with Najib as his number two, Pak Lah is still the better choice in comparison.
Mahathir may have painted himself into a corner this time. Removing Pak Lah is one thing, but removing both number one and number two at the same time is preposterous. And why would anyone want to remove Pak Lah if all it means is that Najib will take over, or rather Rosmah would take over?
Najib has many negatives hanging over his head.
The murder of the Mongolian girl is one. His sex escapades are another. But all these can be swept under the carpet.
His wife, however, is something else altogether. Najib may have to make a very difficult decision soon.
Does he want to stay married to Rosmah or does he want to become the next Prime Minister?
He certainly cannot have both so he must choose between one and the other.
Anyway, while Najib makes up his mind, we will stop here and when we return in the next episode we will reveal how Najib spent RM50 million to buy support from the 25 Umno divisions in Sabah.
So stayed tuned for more on Najib!
MALAYSIA TODAY - PAS Dialogue Cancelled!
The Malaysia Today -Islamic Party of Malaysia @ PAS Dialogue scheduled to be held tomorrow at the Century Paradise Club at Taman Melawati, Hulu Kelang has been cancelled!
I spoke to Malaysia Today Editor and Owner YM Raja Petra Kamarudin this afternoon and RPK confirmed that the event has to be cancelled after the Century Paradise Club were warned by 'higher authorities' not to allow the Dialogue to be held there.
You can read about it here.
What a bloody shame! And we thought that such things were a thing of the past!
Looks like it will forever be the same no matter what and as long as the Freedom of Speech or Assembly remains mere rhetoric on the ruling party's agenda!
The thing is, what have the authorities got to fear from such a Dialogue?
What can happen? A few politicians will take the opportunity to blow hot and cold before the crowd.
Worse come to worse , a few hotheads will speak and spew forth some ideas, the press will take some photos of some illuminaries shaking hands and hugging for photo ops.
After an hour or so, the Dialogue will come to an end and everyone will go back to where they came from.
The Malaysian Government will remain in the present rulers hands. Not a minister will have lost his or her post!
Sheeesh! Talk of fearing the Opposition! This is simply too sickening to even write about!
Tch tch tch tch! So much for democracy! So much for the so called New Age of Freedom under you know who!
Back to the kopitiam guys! You can express your thoughts and views over a cuppa and toast!
RPK, why not converge to the Old Town White Coffee Kopitiam at Jalan Cheras? They have WiFi there too!
We can all discuss or just curse the idiots who cancelled this event with style over there!
Hehehehe....Anyway, that's Malaysia for you. Championing all others who are downtrodden overseas whilst trampling on our rights to gather and have a peaceful dialogue amongst ourselves!
Cakap tak serupa bikin maa!
