Part of the Do'a Iftitah

"Verily my solats, my ibadah, my life and my death I surrender to Almighty Allah, Creator and Lord of all the worlds. Never will I associate anything with Him. So am I commanded and I am of those who are Muslims."

Surah An Nahl (Chapter 16 Verse 125) Holy Al Quran Al Kareem.

" Invite (all Mankind) to the Way of your Lord (Islam) with Wisdom and Beautiful Preaching and Reason (discuss, argue, debate) with them ( Non Muslims and Muslims -deviant, innovators, liberals, alike) in a Way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Knower of those who are guided."

Lina Joy Case Follow Up - Let the hate games begin!

" Whoever declares that There is No God but Allah and becomes a Muslim has pledged a covenant with Allah and they aren't allowed to break it!" Period.

This uttering of Belief in Allah, God Almighty is not like making a date with your girl or boyfriend and then calling it off. You don't play play with God. Once you are a Muslim, you stay a Muslim, live as a Muslim and die as one.

There is no backing out of your covenant with Allah. Period. You who want to be Muslims better be a 100% sure of your faith and keep to your covenant with Him or stay out of Islam. You do not fool around with God.

Learn about Islam, your birthright from the authentic sources and do not get played out by those who have ulterior motives and just want to take you for a ride, literally as that idiot did in Singapore recently and the other Malay chap calling himself Rasul Allah!

These kind of devils in human form are always on the prey and will lead you to hell the minute you let your guard down and get duped into their deviant cults and beliefs.

Islam is not to be faulted for the screwup's that vermin like those do. Same goes for the others.

Actions of the demented few do not portray the true character of any creed or belief.

I envisioned that my reaction to the Federal Court of Malaysia's Landmark Judgment against Azalina binti Jailani @ 'Lina Joy' will surely bring forth a deluge of protests from those who were clamoring for her to be the first official murtad @ apostate here in Malaysia and I have not been proved wrong!

Blogger Antares has sent me a comment lambasting my rejoicing over the decision and as he puts it in his own word here as it came..unedited and as it is. Read on and see what kind of emotions this case's judgment has unearthed.

I am sure that many of Islam's enemies out there are feeling disappointed and will rant and rave for nothing about this.

The irony is that these Islamophobics fail to realize that we Muslims have every right to defend and fight for our religion and protect our fellow brothers and sisters as best as we can from falling into the way of the Devil.

Na'uzu billahi min zalik! May Allah Forbid!

I don't give a rat's ass to all these rantings. The Islamophobics can go fly kite as far as I care!

Especially those 'holier than thou' vermins who think that they are so much more better than those of us who just speak up for our faith and want to protect our fellow Muslims.
Those who come in and comment decently and state your views on an acceptable manner and decorum will be allowed to take part in discussing this matter. Those who just are full of shit can save me the trouble and keep it all to yourselves.
I swear to support this judgment against this 'Application to Apostate' and congratulate the Federal Court of Malaysia for saving the nation from unnecessary grief and turmoil that will surely erupt here in this nation if it had ruled otherwise!
Malaysian Muslims are grateful to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala for this result!

Here is my first 'hatemail'. Let the hate games begin! I am all for Azalina remaining a Muslim!

Please state your religion before commenting if you have any valid grounds to comment here.

I find it incomprehensible that you would rejoice over this gross and grotesque violation of every human being's right to determine his or her own set of beliefs or unbeliefs. This is akin to spiritual RAPE, my friend - FORCING somebody against their will to embrace an institutionalized dogma! How enlightened is that, I ask you? Do you think this will win Islam (as it is practised in Malaysia by the Malays) more friends? Or will it merely make the rest of us shake our heads sadly and feel great pity for those whose mindsets are so narrow you couldn't possibly pass a rational thought through their braincells. I hope you can step back from your fanaticism and come to realize that you've created a cruel, bigoted, insensitive, tyrannical and twisted deity in your own image.

First and foremost, thanks for stopping by.

The thing is brother Antares, this is clearly an internal thingy between us Muslims and does not involve the Non Muslims or 'freethinkers'.

You see, as a Muslim, I have every reason to rejoice for the landmark decision by the Chief Justice of Malaysia to deny the apostate wannabe her decision to be 'Lina Joy'.

This is the rule from the Chief Justice my friend, not from any neighborhood Rasta Masta.

It also concerns the position of Islam, my faith.

I have yet to know you in person bro..but from reading your blog, I figure that you aren't a Muslim, hence I can understand where your views are coming from.

No worries bro. U just do what u feel is right FOR YOU and leave us Muslims to be as we are expected by Allah, God Almighty to be.

What might seem as fanatical to you is but realization of the truth in Life to those of us who do study and learn about our faith and not think that we just suddenly came into being or as a result of any 'Grand Poobah' sitting with a garland or two smoking a joint comes to conjure up, my friend.

I am a Muslim. I don't give a shit as to what those who know nuts about my faith or delude themselves to be tries to cry foul or what about things that do not concern them.

Islam is not a country club membership my friend where one comes in or goes out as one pleases.

It's a one way ticket to either hell or heaven, whichever one merits as a result of one's conviction or ignorance.

Those whom we get to teach and educate about what Islam is and what it is surely not, then have a choice to make. They decide where their future lies.

The problem is that as the Muslims of this land get neglected by an apathetic ruler or rulers over the years as to the state of their faith and religious practices which are actually not as individualistic as you perceive but more of a collective social obligation to look out for one another as Islam is a communal faith, they get waylaid by opportunists from other faiths and those who have no faith into apostatizing from Islam due to their ignorance.

I could actually say to hell with those who come in and try to teach me about my faith or whatever form of 'freewill' and all the crap that goes with it, but starting today, I am hereby declaring my stand to fight for my religion and defend it's Ummah to the best of my abilities and kick ass if I have to.

Brother Antares,

Best would be for those of you who aren't Muslims to just back off and let us be.

Any attempts to interfere with the Aqeedah of any Muslim here in Malaysia by any one of you is tantamount to declaring war on us collectively.

Azalina Jailani is my sister in Islam and no matter what she might think she is at this moment, the truth in Islam is that we give her her rights to be advised accordingly for a couple of times according to what has been prescribed in OUR FAITH...not yours or any other non Muslim out there!

The Syariah Courts have the AUTHORITY to judge over her not you or me or any other Tom, Ah Seng or Samy!

Instead of you trying to bedevil us Muslims, why not do the right thing and just stay out of this case?

It has nothing to do with you or your 'Grand Poo Bah' or whatever it is you venerate?

Just go on listening to the sounds of the jungle that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has created for us and be at peace with your dear self.

Got no quarrels with you bro except if you insist.

Have a peaceful day!And please spare me the labels .

I am not looking for any such brandings or wishing to be a deity as you infer above.

Allah Alone Knows me best bro..not you or any other creature here on Earth.

LINA JOY LOSES! AZALINA JAILANI REMAINS! THE SYARIAH COURT RULEZ!

ALLAHU AKBAR! ALLAHU AKBAR! ALLAHU AKBAR!

Subhanallah! Alhamdulillah! Wallahu Akbar! La haula wala quwwata illa billah hil aliyyil azhim!

Allah is the Greatest! Most Glorified is He! There is none more powerful than Him, the Most Majestic!

I received great news that the Federal Court has ruled that Azalina binti Jailani remains as a Muslim and her MyKad will remain as it is stating her religion to be so.

Click here to watch Brother Yusri Muhammad, the President of ABIM @ Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia and Chairman of PEMBELA, a coalition of Muslim Associations here in Malaysia speak about the results of the judgment concerning Lina Joy.

This is indeed a glorious day for us Muslims in Malaysia!

I have been praying that the application by her will be dismissed and the status of Islam here in this nation remains supreme and that the Syariah Court will prevail over this blatant attempt by her who has been misled by the Christian missionaries will be now brought to trial before the Syariah Court and judged according to the Syariah Laws now!

MENJ has posted about it too here.

I have been holding my peace about this case all this while because it is a matter that was before the courts and I didn't want to stoke the simmering passions and emotions further for not wanting to create any untoward incidents as a result!

Today, my prayers and all the other millions of Muslims in Malaysia have been answered and the Federal Court has administered justice to this case as it should!

I await the follow up on Azalina binti Jailani by the Mahkamah Syariah @ Syariah Court where as an apostate who has made her status known publicly, she is now guilty of a major sin in Islam.

She must be brought before the Syariah Court and charged with the crime of apostasy!

I want to see what our Syariah Courts are going to rule with? Man made lukewarm excuses of the laws of their own making or according to what the Holy Qur'an and Hadiths of Allah's Messenger, Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam prescribes?

What is it going to be?

As for now, I am so relieved with this decision that if it had been in her favor, will see an eruption of emotions from amongst the concerned Muslims of Malaysia who will not be silent and passive anymore!

Islam and Muslims in Malaysia have been provoked times and times again by those who just do not know how to appreciate the freedom we have right here in this nation and we have been ridiculed, taunted and challenged by those who have a hidden agenda to undermine the supremacy of God's Chosen Faith for all Mankind all these while!

Well, I for one think the time has come to address and eliminate all these destructive venom that threatens to destroy the peace and harmony in our beloved nation by these elements who harbor ill will and anarchy towards us Muslims all these while!

Lina Joy needs to be charged in the Syariah Courts proper according to the Syariah Laws of the Kingdom of Malaysia.

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has laid down the laws and rules for us Muslims and as she is a Muslim unless ruled otherwise by the Syariah Courts of this Government of Malaysia, she must be charged as such.

May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala give our leaders the strength and wisdom plus the courage to hold high the banner of Kalimah At Tauheed to reign supreme over this blessed land!

Syabas to the Right Honorable Chief Justice of Malaysia, Tun Dato' Seri Ahmad Fairuz bin Dato' Sheikh Abdul Halim (pictured above) and His Honor Justice Alauddin Mohd Sheriff for ruling in favor of Islam and the Syariah Courts plus the NRD's decision to deny the apostate wannabe her misguided wishes!

May Almighty Allah bless them both and give them their due rewards in the Akhirah! Ameen!

I can understand Justice Richard Malanjun's dissenting views and decision about the case. The missionaries will surely curse him like hell if he agrees with the Chief Justice on this.

Whatever it is, justice has been served and the nation has been spared a tragedy in the making if the judgment had been otherwise!

This day will be remembered forever in the annals of this nation's history as a momentous moment when Islam was put up for trial in the courts of Man.

Alhamdulillah, Islam has prevailed and will always prevail provided the Muslims start taking care of their faith and their fellow Muslims!

Failure to nip deviants and apostasy in the bud gave birth to the likes of 'Lina Joy' who surely today is a victim of the foul plays of the Christian Missionaries and the apathy of the Muslims in her life to help and support her when she was lost and fell prey to the advances of that Indian Catholic.

The apathy of the Muslims in Malaysia and the failure of the relevant authorities running the various Jabatan Agama Islam Negeri's and Persekutuan is the reason why cases like Lina Joy have come into being!

All the religious departments should take a cue from this landmark victory of Islam against this attempt to officially declare her apostasy to be valid and they must buck up and shape up!

It's time to seek and destroy all the enemies of Islam who are waging a covert war against us and masquerading as fighters for 'human rights' and seek to infiltrate and convert as many Malays from Islam into Christianity with their many guises.

It's also time for the Abdullah Ahmad Badawi administration to spring clean the Jabatan Kemajuan Islam from the deadwoods and parasites who have failed to perform their duties as entrusted to them.

No more excuses or just demotions. Sack the incompetent ones and replace the lethargic Heads of Departments who are just idling their times away at the expense of the government's reputation and reformat the entire Islamic Department to be an effective, pro active and efficient force! Abdullah Badawi can do it if he so chooses! May Allah SWT guide him so!

Congratulations to all Muslims in Malaysia and throughout the world for this day! I'm so glad!

Takbir!!! ALLAHU AKBAR! ALLAHU AKBAR! ALLAHU AKBAR! Syukur Alhamdulillah!

Wabillahi taufeek walhidayah. Wassalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Ta'ala Wabarakatuh!

Lina Joy @ Azalina Jailani Case Judgement Today!

Well, it's finally here. The case that every concerned Muslim and Non Muslim and all 'closet apostates' are waiting for.

Azalina Jailani is going to know for sure about her fate today, whether the Justice System here is going to fulfill her desire to be officially endorsed to be the first ever 'murtad' from Islam here in the Kingdom of Malaysia or penalize her according to the Syariah as she deserves.

Here is the gist of a memorandum handed over by the Defenders of Islam Alliance @ PEMBELA to His Royal Highness, the Yang Dipertuan Agong and their Royal Highnesses, the Malay Sultans and to the Prime Minister, Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi :
  1. Seek the Consent of His Highness, the Yang di Pertuan Agong and their Royal Highnesses, the Malay Sultans as the Heads of the Islamic Faith according to the Federal Constitution and remain firm and strong in defending the special position of Islam in this nation.
  2. The Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi take the necessary steps against the actions of certain parties who are questioning the special position of Islam as enshrined in the Federal Constitution and encouraging deviation of the aqeedah amongst the Muslim Ummah of this nation.
  3. Parliament amend Article 11 of the Federal Constitution and include clear definitions about the Freedom of Religion amongst the Muslim people in this nation to be in accordance to the the Laws and Decrees of the Syariah. This amendment is to avoid liberal and unfounded interpretations regarding the freedom of religion under Article 11 to the extent of failing to adhere to the requirements of the Islamic Syaria' and the laws of this nation.
  4. The Federal Government and State Governments that have yet to approve laws to control or stop the propagation of religious indoctrination and beliefs amongst the Muslims of this nation under the Article 11.4 Federal Constitution, to immediately do so. Also calling for the states that already have such laws in place to enforce them to the fullest extent.
  5. The Federal Government defend the Article 121 (A) that provides exclusive authority to the Syariah Court to judge cases concerning the Islamic Faith as accorded by the Federal Constitution.
  6. Any conflict about the individual religious status of a Muslim must be referred to the Syariah Courts as the most suitable forum to decide matters concerning the Islamic faith. To fulfill this , the 9th Chapter of the Federal Constitution about the scope of authority of the Syariah Courts must be updated to state clearly that matters concerning the status of an individual Muslim's faith is in the jurisdiction of the Syariah Courts.
  7. Any attempts to revoke or corrode the special position of Islam in the Constitution and the national legal system must be stopped at once. Any dissatisfactions regarding the practice and implementation of Islamic Laws in this nation must be channeled to the discussion table with the relevant authorities. Confrontations through 'road shows' and confrontations in the courts chambers will only further deteriorate inter faith relations and threaten the social harmony.
  8. The media, including the main mass media and the alternative media, be firm and fair in handling matters concerning Islam. The actions of certain media who seem to support the views that Malaysia is a secular nation and that Islamic practices are an individual's choice is regretted. These views do not represent the main Islamic perspectives in this nation. The media must be professional and ethical in reporting and making analysis regarding Islam without having their own agendas.
  9. The Government must take proactive actions in encouraging dialogues and understanding amongst the various faiths. These efforts must be carried out sincerely to create a harmonious establishment of inter-faith relations, not to interfere in or disturb the tenets of faith and the values of any certain faiths.
  10. Any efforts and actions taken in settling sensitive religious issues in this nation must be in accordance with the principles of the supremacy of the laws and the upholding of the Constitution as well as not create any ill feelings between the various ethnics and faiths.
  11. We are convinced that these represent the feelings of the majority of the citizens of this nation. Thus these concerns need to be brought forward and referred to in our handling of issues relating to Islam in Malaysia. May we all unite as one in our stand and commitment to be righteous, just and in accordance to the historical background, present realities and future aspirations of our beloved nation. May we be able to achieve our aspirations to establish a blessed and prosperous nation with the Mercy and Forgiveness of Allah.
On behalf of the Defenders of Islam Alliance @ PEMBELA

Yusri Mohamad,
Chairman of PEMBELA & President of the Islamic Youth Movement of Malaysia (ABIM)

Well, let's see what takes place this morning at the Justice Complex, Putrajaya.

Those who are interested to be present in this landmark case are requested by PEMBELA to be there by 8.00 am.

PEMBELA advices those attending the judgement day tomorrow for Azalina Jailani @ Lina Joy to exercise decorum and avoid creating any untoward situations or incidents.

May Allah SWT guide the learned judges and inspire them to uphold justice for us all and to save Azalina Jailani from the deviant path she has taken.

This case is going to decide whether Islam is truly respected and observed in this nation or the Islam Hadhari administration of Abdullah Badawi just a fleeting mirage in Malaysia?

Tawakkaltu Allallah hu La ila ha ill lall Lah!

PAS : Practice the Surah An Nahl Verse 125 !

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Ta'ala Wabarakatuh!

This post is dedicated to the leadership of Parti Islam SeMalaysia @ PAS.

As a Muslim here in Malaysia, naturally I am a supporter of PAS and in my heart will always continue to do so and pray that the leadership of PAS will learn to go about achieving the party's objectives in a practical , humble and moderate way. Insya Allah.

The thing is PAS has been struggling for nearly as long as we have achieved Independence from the British but still fails to understand that to be successful in it's aspirations to rule this nation, it has to gain the support of at least 51% of the Malaysian people.

I am a supporter of PAS all these while but there are some things I just have to get off my chest and share with the PAS leaders as to what I feel is stopping them from succeeding in the polls of this country save for the State of Kelantan Darul Naim, where they have a strong base.

Even then, do not take things for granted for in elections, anything can happen and the results can be quite surprising!

So, do not be lackadaisical in thinking that your rule over Kelantan is guaranteed and unshakable! May you continue progressing over there and expand to the other states as well but there are certain matters which the leadership has to address.

First and foremost is what I believe to be a major downfall of PAS's official mouthpiece @ HARAKAH!

HARAKAH since day one has only come to publish BAD NEWS as it's headlines. Has PAS no other things to share with it's readers except NEGATIVE things all the years since it's coming into being?

People do not like to read insults and accusations the first moment they come across any newspaper or magazine!

By fitrah, we human beings are imbued with the goodness of spirit and only the sick demented few love to look for gossips and pry into the faults and sins of others!!!

Everytime I come across the HARAKAH party newspaper, my heart is disturbed having to read bad news each and everytime . Really!

Does PAS want to be known as the 'Bad News Party'? Is there nothing worth celebrating and cherishing in life except to zoom into the UMNO butts?

Does PAS have no other vocation in life except to be nitpickers and try to look as if they are a hundred percent sinfree and so holy moly?

There are so many things that PAS can share with it's readers and silent supporters whom I know exist in the millions here in our nation but are put off by the insensitive manner by which PAS tries to champion it's cause!

The Malaysian people are not blind nor are they deaf or dumb either. Malaysians consist of all ethnicities and faith.

Most of us want to live in peace and harmony save for the crazy idiots found amongst us. These are the shit stirrers, rooting for trouble and spoiling for a fight! Damn idiots!

Each Malaysian in his or her heart will not deny the goodness that is found in the real teachings of Islam save for those who have yet to learn about it or have been fed the untruths about Islam by it's enemies and further frightened of the kind of Islam that PAS comes to be associated with by the Islamophobic mass media.

PAS needs to come to terms that it's approach all these years is not exactly right and that it needs to put to practice what Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala commands us Muslims as in the Surah An Nahl, Verse 125, Al Qur'an Al Kareem!

It's not that hard really to make some changes in the manner by which PAS wants to reach out to the Malaysian people.

All it needs to do is to really practice what Almighty Allah asks us to do in reaching out to our fellow mankind, irrespective of race or religion, and social status.

Having relocated to Jalan Raja Laut, in the midst of the 'sin city' in Central Kuala Lumpur and in a brand new building showing it's willingness to make changes and carry out it's operations from the infamous area of KL, shows that there is still room for the PAS leadership to make inroads into the people's hearts and minds.

Syabas! My heartiest congratulations to all those who made it possible. Now, all you have to do is to carry out what Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala Himself commands us to do.

Try changing your approach to the people by changing how you publish the HARAKAH newspaper and see the people coming closer to you.

Order all those firebrands who so love to instigate and castigate others especially against the UMNO folks to change their tone and tune and see for yourself how by being true Da'ee's, PAS can still be relevant to the future of Islam in this blessed nation, that is the home to so many multi ethnic, multi faithed Malaysians.

I can only say that if the PAS leadership take this advice to heart and make the necessary changes in their party's policies, success will only be part of the rewards that Ar Rahman will shower you with in the future! Insya Allah!

Wabillahi Taufeek Walhidayah. Wassalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Ta'ala Wabarakatuh!

Visiting any Government Buildings? Enter at your own risk!

I refer to the latest report by the Sun2Surf online newspaper about many of our nation's public buildings not having acquired the Certificate of Fitness @ CF's!

What a shocker! What hell kind of an irresponsible act is this?

This is a serious lack of responsibility by the government in not practicing what they preach or demand the CF to be approved of any other building projects before they allow occupation or usage especially when it concerns the private sectors.

You must do as I say and not do as I do, eh? Tch...tch..tch..tch! Damn! The public are screwed!

Does the government not give a damn about the safety of the million over civil servants spending their working hours in such uncertified to be fit for occupation public buildings?

No wonder, we are seeing so many mishaps taking place in the public buildings such as in Putrajaya, the Justice Complex at Jalan Duta, schools, hospitals, clinics, dormitories, etcetera!

What kind of bloody nonsense is this?

How can the PWD @ JKR let things deteriorate to such an extent and do nothing to rectify this gross acts of negligence on their part?

Of all the things that is going wrong with this government, this must truly be amongst the worst!

The safety of the public visiting such places and the civil servants working in the buildings is severely being compromised and innocent people being put in danger by such waiving away of the need to have such important public buildings not being certified by the authorities themselves to be fit for occupation!

All I can say is that the public must be warned that they are entering all those buildings at their own risk!

This must surely be one heck of a stupid policy irresponsibly being done by the BN government!

Does Samy Vellu want to say that it is God's fault that the CF's are not required when any of the government buildings collapse in the future?

Is Abdullah Badawi gonna lose any sleep over this? (Pun intended)

*************************************************************************************
Here's the report from the Sun :-

CF not required

by Llew-Ann Phang and Giam Say Khoon

PETALING JAYA (May 28, 2007): There is no legal requirement for government buildings to have a certificate of fitness (CF) before they are occupied and the onus is on the Works Ministry's Public Works Department (PWD) to ensure the buildings are safe and meet specifications.

Even so, Kuala Lumpur City Hall mayor Datuk Ab Hakim Borhan said, it would be ideal and safer for all buildings, including those belonging to the government, to obtain a CF.

"Some government offices have CF and some have none but this is usually the PWD's decision," he said when contacted yesterday.

A Malay daily had, on Saturday, quoted Ab Hakim as saying City Hall had not received any CF application for the Jalan Duta court complex and that there were many government buildings without such certification.

Asked to comment on the CF issue, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting said: "In principle and to my understanding, if the buildings belong to the federal government, their designs come under the responsibility of PWD or other government agencies, and they can practise professional self-certification as the government engineers and architects are qualified to do so.

"In Kuala Lumpur, these buildings need to obtain a development order (before they can be built). After that, they can be self-certified (by the government's engineers) who will then inform City Hall."

Ong said he had yet to receive any official report from the local authority on the court complex as it came under the jurisdiction of City Hall, which was under the Federal Territories Ministry.

Persatuan Arkitek Malaysia president Dr Tan Loke Mun said: "The law is silent on requiring a government building to obtain a CF and it would usually be vetted by the PWD architects themselves."

He said the development of government buildings was usually undertaken by PWD, which only needed to obtain a planning approval from the local authority as the project would involve the development site's surroundings.

On April 17, Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu handed over the RM270 million court complex -- the second largest in the world -- to Chief Justice Tun Ahmad Fairuz Sheikh Abdul Halim. Samy Vellu noted that the building was completed ahead of schedule.

On April 18, a crack was seen on a wall and at the end of the month, a portion of the ceiling collapsed in the room of a secretary to a civil court judge.

On May 8, the air-conditioning system broke down during a trial.

Last Wednesday, a pipe burst in the cafeteria and the problem was traced to the use of a sub-standard end-cap in the piping.

Two defective buildings in Putrajaya also made headlines: on April 11, the Immigration Department saw a massive leak which caused operations to be suspended, and on April 28, a portion of the ceiling collapsed at the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperative Ministry's multi-purpose hall on April 28, also because of a leak.

*************************************************************************************

Be prepared to have the ceilings collapse on you when you are in any 'Jabatan Kerajaan'!...or bursting pipes ..or sewage spewings! It could just happen...from the way things are going!

Shoddy Workmanship-Malaysian Contractor's Hallmark?

I would like to draw your attention to a very serious deterioration of the quality of workmanship by the Civil Contractors of Malaysia especially those who have been given projects to take part in the infrastructure development of this country!

Have you noticed the way our nation's pavements and roadside curbs tend to break off easily and easily crushed by a vehicle's tyres accidentally hitting them or they simply crumble to pieces over a very short period of time?

What do you think is the reason?

I for one will say that the reason is none other than that these scoundrels simply short change the government or local authorities by mixing very little amount of cement when they prepare their concrete on the spot by engaging the foreign workers who do as they are told.

Why do you think buildings left by the Colonial British Masters withstood the test of time and are still around except those that have disappeared into the annals of time due to demolition by the idiots who don't know the value of preserving such old monumental treasures!

The low quality of work done by these irresponsible and guilty of criminal negligent contractors puts our nation to shame and also they endanger the public by their acts.

The Public Works Ministry almost always lays the blame on God for all the travesties that take place as a result of such shoddy, low quality, inferior workmanship.

I believe that the main reason for all these happening is the lack of proper responsible monitoring by those who are appointed to look into the standards of such public infrastructure projects.

There has been a serious breach of trust committed by the collaborating officials appointed and trusted by the ministry to oversee the various projects now crashing down on to the unsuspecting occupants of public buildings such as the ones we now hear so very often in the news reports!

Those officials who have been appointed are to be held responsible if they do not ensure that certain high standards and safety requirements are adhered to and the projects carried out must not compromise in the required standards of workmanship, for life's can be lost as a result if they fail to stick to the proper measures.

This government lacks serious backbone to see to it that the guilty are made to pay for it!

Instead of corrective action to right the wrongs, we see gross lack of responsibility on the part of the very persons whom the government and the public trusts!

The authorities should either sack the incompetent officials or even the bloody minister for failing in his capacity to ensure that the contractors responsible for such shoddy workmanship are either hauled before the courts and fined as much as the law permits and ordered to redo whatever damage has been done to the exact standards of whatever projects they have been given!

When you compromise on standards, these is what you get! Lousy low class shoddy workmanship! And we have the audacity to proclaim to the world that 'Malaysia Boleh!'

Yes...we surely 'Boleh Lingkup' if we allow such criminals to get away with it!

Abdullah Badawi needs to kick ass and not just spew his raspy rhetoric before the buildings come crashing down on Malaysians heads!

It's now or never! Spring clean the Works Ministry and take action on all the corrupt officials!

If the government fails to act now, it just goes to show that there is a very serious discrepancy taking place in the running of the ministries concerned and many are involved!

Don't just talk as if we are so perfect, prove it by taking action! We the public are in danger!

Or are you waiting for life's to be lost before you get off that cushy seat and do your duty?

Remember how things were back then in the 50's, 60's and 70's?

A friend forwarded an email to my spouse who in turn forwarded it to me reminiscing about the days and years gone by where life as we knew it was much more practical, easier , cheaper costs of living and kids had fun in the truest sense of the word.

The context of the email reopened a flood of memories in me and I have decided to share them here with you.

TO ALL THE THOSE WHO WERE BORN IN THE 50's and 60's / early '70s.....

First, the majority of those born in the 50's,60's and 70's survived with mothers who had no maids. They cooked /cleaned while taking care of us at the same time.

I was raised by my 3 sisters as my mom left me when I was 2 and remarried leaving me to the care of my 3 elder sisters. May Allah SWT bless them all.

I cherish the moments I spent with my friends in my kampong, Jalan Kota Giam, East Jelutong, Penang and will always remember with fondness all the times I enjoyed with my friends, Wan Ali, Arwah @ the late Che Mat Sabor, his younger Brother Nordin, Abu, his younger brother Ali Fatah, Iqbal, Samsudin, Baharudin, Kamarudin, all brothers, and many others who must be in their early and late 40's now.

Photo above shows Wan Ali with his family which he just emailed to me.

Wan Ali and myself were best buddies and we spent a lot of time at the sea front of our village. I made a raft out of a drifted wooden pallet and stuffed all the polyfoam and styrofoam I collected which had drifted from the sea to my kampong's seashore. I nailed in all the foams in the raft's sides with scraps of plywood and planks collected from the nearby Lean Seng Shipyard.

When the tide came in, I would push my raft out to sea and slowly float out to sea.

Two bricks tied up and attached to a long nylon rope was my anchor and I fashioned two oars from planks salvaged from the shipyard.

Ali and myself enjoyed going out to sea and we caught many fish like gelama, ikan belanak, semilang, stuka @ small stingrays, ikan gerut gerut, ikan penyulung, ikan ketang, etc. We caught belanak with our 'jala tebar' @ throw nets. Ali would cast the nets while I kept the raft steady from toppling over!

At times, he would borrow his uncle's sampan and we would go fishing into deeper waters with Pak Pin , a kampong friend. We used to also fish at a mid sea platform. Really great to have done all that.

Sometimes, we would go fishing in the night there and everything would be pitch dark save for the hurricane lamp we had and we caught better quality of fish there.

We would drink hot plain coffee which we brought with us in Thermos flasks and we ate Cream Crackers or the 'roti mayat' @ an oval shaped biscuit brought by the kati or kilo from the Chinese sundry shops. Best memories of having the sea breeze caress our faces as we felt the fish snapping at our lines. Can't forget that!

Another great fishing spot was the Ferry Terminal. Groupers and catfish were found in large numbers there and I always brought home a netful of such fish. Only thing was having to slip past the PPC staff. Hehehehehe...

Back in the kampong, we would indulge in Gula Tarik', candy floss @ 'Gula Kapas' , F & N fizzy drinks, 'Ais Kacang' @ shaved ice with syrups, 'Ice Cream Malaysia' @ frozen syrup in plastic tubes (popsicles) and all kinds of sweet stuffs. We also ate 'Sagon' @ a mixture of fried shredded coconut mixed with cane sugar and prepared dry. The mixture was sold in paper cones.

I remember another favorite delicacy that we enjoyed back then, 'Gula Katok' @ a hard caramel sweet confectionary sold by the Chinese man who would carry the sweet which was prepared in a 'dulang' @ round dish which he balanced on his head and carried a stand which he would fold up and carry on his shoulder.

When we kids gathered around him to buy a chip or two from him which he sold for 5 cents or 10 cents, he would chip away at the hardened caramel hence the saying of 'Gula Katok' which meant 'Hammered Sweet'.

Another form of sweet sold by another Chinese confectionery seller was the 'Gula Gulung' or 'Rolled Sweet'. This was a gooey molasses kind of sweet which was sold by the Chinese guy using two coconut leaf sticks and rolled and rolled by him till it formed sort of like a lollipop. Costs about 10 cents a stick. we just sucked on it and smiled broadly grinning from ear to ear as we enjoyed ourselves!

Funny thing was , back then, diabetes was rare. Salt added to Pepsi or Coke was often the remedy for fever.

We would also wet a leaf and stick it to our foreheads to bring the fever down and most times , it did ! Mothers would also stick a wet piece of paper and stick it to the forehead of their babies to stop the hiccups! Remember that?

For small cuts , we would just bandage the wound with the coffee powder and it would heal nicely in a few days time.

I should know for I once sliced off the tip of my forefinger while chopping wood and did just that. Today, the finger bears testimony to the efficiency of the coffee powder first aid treatment.

When it rained, me and my friends would go play in the rain and stand underneath the pouring deluge from the various gutters of the kampong houses! We didn't catch colds back then and we were tough guys. We didn't fall sick easily and we played outside throughout the days when we weren't in school.

During breaks in school, we would play our hearts out and became healthy, in both body and soul. Nobody cared about each other's race, religion or social status. We simply loved each other and became true friends to this day.

We have aged no doubt but in our hearts, we remain as kids and if we were to get to meet again, all those memories will flood back and we would laugh and smile at each other's recollection of those carefree days of our life!

Back then, we used to make paper boats and sampans and let them float along the raging streams and drains out to the sea. We would follow our paper boats all the way while being soaked in the pouring rain and frolic as we pleased!

We also made boats out of the coconut palm stalks, which we just collected from the trees growing all around us. I have drawn a sketch here showing what I mean. As they say, a picture is worth more than a thousand words. See for yourself.

We would push the boats with the remaining stalk of the coconut leaf all along the kampong roads and passageways. All that pushing and running along made us strong and we had muscular legs and feet.

Think of the rewards of being poor! Hahahahahaha! Rich kids get sick by not being able to run and sweat!!! Not that I am asking you to be poor. Just trying to see the plus points of my being poor. Hehehehehe.

Nowadays, the slightest drizzle would see an onslaught of cold and influenza, meriting a visit to the clinics and hospitals. How come people nowadays get sick so easily?

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention all the knee guards and extra protection you see being worn by cyclists nowadays.

As children, many would ride with their parents on bicycles/ motorcycles for 2 or 3. Richer ones rode in cars with no seat belts or air bags. Riding in the back of a private taxi was a special treat.

As a poor kampong kid, it felt luxurious to be able to ride in the taxi and not have to suffer the hot, cramped buses which had no air condition back then.

Even the taxi's weren't air conditioned but the taxi had those two turnable window side panes which caught the air and channeled it into the cab and circulating the air within. Still remember?

Accidents were rare back then and people were not in a rush to reach their destinations. Traffic jams wasn't a norm back then as not many people owned cars and most rode in buses or trams.

Owning a bicycle was already considered being rich. I didn't own a bicycle until I finished my schooling and started working as a money changer's assistant. Bought my first bicycle with my first salary of RM300.00 which was quite a big amount to me that time.

I think life back then was so much better when everyone took it easy and were more relaxed.

We drank water from the tap and NOT from a bottle. I developed my paunch from my schooldays where I would gulp fresh tap water from the gardener's tap. The water in Penang came from the Waterfall Gardens and was very sweet and refreshing.

Now, people get murky water from their taps as a result of all the pollution that has taken place in the land and the rivers have turned into open sewers. Yechhh! No wonder, people need to go buy their drinking water from the shops and supermarkets nowadays.

The cause of this problem is because people nowadays don't care about preserving the rivers and streams of this nation. They just throw all kinds of rubbish into the rivers thinking 'Out of sight ; out of mind'.

What bloody idiots we have amongst us who are not only stupid but bloody egoists who wouldn't want to listen to good advice!

Our local authorities and 'enforcement personnel' are a corrupt useless lazy apathetic bunch of morons, who do not do their duty to the nation as they swore to do when they were appointed to their jobs!

They did their 'Ikrar Sumpah Setia' with a hypocritical heart and didn't really mean it when they uttered their oaths to uphold the laws of the various local authorities! Things were much better during the British colonial days because the Brits were a tad more disciplined and paid a lot of attention to such matters.

The people of this nation have over the years deteriorated into being litterbugs and wouldn't bat an eyelid to throw anything onto the streets or drains and rivers that are before them.

I am sure many of you have seen the driver or passengers of the car, van, bus or lorry in front of you simply chuck whatever trash they have in their hands and out of the window and onto the road! The major casualty is surely this nation's water resources.

They forget that when too much rubbish gets thrown into the rivers and do not decompose overnight because the presence of all those tonnes of rubbish slowdown the river flow and turn the water toxic and cause the water to become stagnant. The result is polluted rivers turned into severs and nobody gives a damn!!!

When I emailed Karam Singh Walia about the Ulu Yam River being polluted, the man replied asking for HARD EVIDENCE!

I don't know what other evidence I needed to furnish when I had already emailed him a color photo of the rubbish polluting the river. I didn't have a videocam with me to take a full motion picture to back up my complaint so ,it's just another complaint gone to waste!

Malaysians of the future will suffer like hell when things turn out exactly as our famous cartoonist Lat pictured in one of his publications. a land full of smog and pollution.

Back to reminiscing.

We would spend hours on the fields under the bright sunlight flying our kites, without worrying about the UV rays which never seemed to affect us. Kids nowadays are applied with sunblock and lotions by their pampering moms and they turn into weaklings as a result.

We went into the jungles and shrubs to catch spiders without worries of the Aedes mosquitoes.

With a mere 5 pebbles (stones) we would have an endless game of 'Batu Seremban'. Girls would spend hours throwing the stones into the air and catch them as they fall back. This developed a very good sense of balance and dexterity in the girls. It also improved their hand and eye coordination.

With a ball (tennis ball best) we boys would run like crazy for hours playing 'Chabak' or 'Rounders' as it was also called.

We became healthy and strong as a result of all that running and everyone would be all sweaty and flushed pink or as in my case, 'golden brown' with a healthy pumping heart and excellent blood circulation. We didn't take all the multivitamin pills you see kids being fed nowadays and we were healthy naturally.

Kids nowadays waste their time away in the cybercafes, cursing and spewing expletives as they play their noisy cybergames as I had to endure a most uncomfortable episode recently when the internet connection to my home had a problem.

One particular Chinese teenager shouting 'Tiu Na Seng' every one or two minutes drove me nuts and I just turned around and gave the idiot a tongue lashing in Hokkien which promptly shut him up!!!

He was truly shocked to have this uncle looking so 'Or Or' suddenly 'Tiu' him back in Hokkien!!! Everyone else was so relieved and many nodded their heads in approval for my taking the fella to task!!! No more going to the cybercafes for me even if my Streamyx acts up at home!

Back to the past.
We caught guppies @ 'Ikan Peacock' in the drains, streams and canals and when it rained, we swam there. No worrying about whether the river was 'clean or not'. Back then, most of the places were clean.

Not like today. Today, you are just asking for it if you go plunge into the rivers! No telling what dangerous stuff is gonna cause you to become sick once you are in them! A classic case of a river gone dead is the Sungai Pinang back home in Penang. I hope Koh Tsu Koon trips up and falls into that particular river one of these days and gets to gulp a mouthful!

Then....and only then, might we see any affirmative action on his part as the See Emm of the 'Pearl of the Orient' which is now the tarnished, corroded shell of it's former lustrous self!

Flashback.
Back in the 60's and 70's, we shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually worried about such sharing of drinks being unhygenic. We didn't use straws. Everyone just drank from the bottle straight. Age of innocence and free of race or religious consciousness. Malays, Indians, Chinese, Punjabi's all shared whatever we had with us.

We ate salty, very sweet & oily food, candies, bread and real butter and drank very sweet coffee, tea, 'Ais Kachang', Chendol and the likes but we weren't overweight because.....WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, till streetlights came on. No one was able to reach us all day. And we were O.K.

We would spend hours repairing our old bicycles and wooden scooters out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, multiple channels on cable TV, DVD movies, no surround sound, no phones, no personal computers, no Internet.WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and we still continued the stunts.

We never have birthdays parties till we are 21.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and just yelled for them!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

Yet this generation has produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever!

The past 40 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL!

And YOU are one of them! CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the government regulated our lives for our own good. And while you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave their parents were.

Thanks to Suhaya Manap for bringing back the memories. Really cherish them. How about you?

Anwar Ibrahim withdraws from contesting PKR Presidency!

Fearing the Registrar of Societies threat to deregister the Parti Keadilan Rakyat if he goes ahead and stands for election as the candidate for the post of President in the PKR 4th National Congress now taking place at the Chung Hua High School, Seremban, Negri Sembilan, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has withdrawn himself from the elections.

He remains as the Special Adviser to the PKR.

The other contestant Abdul Rahman Osman, the former Treasurer of the party also withdrew himself from the elections and as a result , the incumbent PKR President, Datin Seri Dr.Wan Azizah retained her position uncontested.

Dr.Syed Husin Ali, was returned unopposed as the PKR Deputy President.

In a sense, the PKR has been saved from further turmoil as a result of cool heads prevailing at this crucial stage of their party facing so many challenges from both within and outside the party especially when the General Elections are just around the corner.

Anwar Ibrahim needs to hold his horses and bide his time till he is totally free to return to actively take part in the nation's politics in April, 2008.

Till then, he can do his part in smoothing out the framework and operations of the multi-ethnic and multi-faithed party that came into being solely for the reason of fighting to free him from prison.

I mean, if he is really sincere in wanting to do something for the people of this nation, I am sure that he doesn't need to be the President of the party just yet. Anwar Ibrahim can work towards carrying out more beneficial charity activities and help the poor and downtrodden of this nation.

Sometimes, people like him who are educated and have a religious background from his ABIM days, forget that to be able to achieve anything when working with people, they first need to capture the hearts and minds of the people before running for whatever positions they so desire.

But then, I remember a hadith of the Prophet Muhammad Salalahu Alaihi Wassallam who forbids the giving of public office to those who ask for it. I will post it later here to add to it's authenticity.

Anwar Ibrahim should take his time now and strengthen his party's operations to really stand up to it's declaring to be the 'Justice Party of the People'.

At the moment I am typing here, I read that the Indians in the PKR are quitting the party one by one headed by Dato' Nallakaruppan, Anwar's longtime friend and who also suffered imprisonment as a result of the actions against Anwar whereby the police raided his home and 'discovered' unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

Well, it really doesn't matter when such folks want to leave. PKR should be a party that practices what it preaches. Members should be free to leave the party and only those who are serious and committed to their struggles should remain.

Do not simply take in any Ahmad, Ah Seng or Samy who desert their places in UMNO, MCA, MIC, GERAKAN and any other of the coalition parties of the ruling BN when they can't get their way or secure projects from their positions and connections there and try to mosey over to the PKR intending to be a 'big fish in a little pond'.

PKR must also set a certain standard in not taking in those who have vested interests or hidden agendas and are just coming in to become 'remora's' and stick to Anwar's butt and try to curry favor with the party leadership in order to further their own personal causes!

When Anwar was incarcerated, many of such types deserted ship and left the party. That's a clear sign of their true colors and exposes their true intentions to the reasons of why they entered the party.

Whatever it is, Anwar faces a monumental task ahead in trying to stage a comeback in his political adventures in Malaysia.

I wrote earlier as to why I think Anwar won't be able to do a 'Nelson Mandela' just yet due to all the restrictions and legal roadblocks being put by the ruling BN in his path back to the top?

As one who was very supportive of him whom I thought to be the best candidate to run this country after Mahathir back then, I still haven't washed off my hands in wishing him all the best in his attempt to be the comeback kid in this nation's political arena after all that he has gone through. I just wish to advice him to watch out for all the potholes and 'booby traps' such as the one the ROS has warned him of in his desire to be the President of the PKR.

I am sure Anwar wouldn't wanna screw up his chances this time around. Be safe than sorry, bro!

Anwar Ibrahim - He just can't do a 'Nelson Mandela'!

I pity Saudara Anwar Ibrahim very much!
Not that the man is suffering any financial hardships or finding it hard to make a living or anything!

It's just that the poor guy is just getting himself mired down from one sticky mess to another due to his 'impatience' to be the CEO of Malaysia.

Yeah, he doesn't 'beat around the bush' about his aspirations. The reality is however that to be the Prime Minister of the Government and Kingdom of Malaysia, one needs to be the President of UMNO!

There is no way in the present political climate and scenario of our nation that the UMNO Supreme Council members or the Delegations of all the UMNO branches are gonna keel over and make room for him who has been banished from it's party to ever stage a comeback ala Nelson Mandela!

Anwar Ibrahim can never return to where he was before in UMNO! It's not only a matter that will be a 'Mission Impossible' ; it's more so a matter of personal integrity!

Anwar Ibrahim has so often declared that he will never return to UMNO!

The Malay saying of 'Kalau sudah berpatah arang, manakan boleh bertaut kembali?' comes to mind. Meaning ' if as a piece of charcoal is broken apart, there is no way it can be joined back to be whole again'.

Malays are known for their holding grudges and vendetta's against their enemies. Declared or kept simmering in their hearts. They may forgive but they surely will never forget!

After Anwar got sacked from his Deputy Premiership, he went around the country sharing his outrage and dissatisfactions against the many 'Brutus' he found amongst the UMNO Supreme Council members and his former mentor turned 'arch enemy' and 'nemesis' -Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad, the PM back then!

Anwar spoke openly about many things that the ones responsible for his ouster from the 2nd highest seat of power in the government were guilty of and laid open some secrets that only he knew.

He was pissed off after being disgraced as no other Malaysian DPM has ever suffered at the hands of Mahathir and his forever kowtowing Cabinet (back then)!

His disclosures made them seethe in anger and the rest is history!

Anwar was the first VVIP Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister who was sacked unceremoniously and bludgeoned blue black by the then Inspector General of the Royal Malaysian Police, stripped naked in the Bukit Aman Police HQ cell, had his image and self respect destroyed systematically by the wily Tun Dr.Mahathir and accused to be a bloody filthy sodomite, not fit for office!

His trial was more like a 'kangaroo court' thingy and after being incarcerated for 6 long years under trumped up charges, the man was finally released from prison after the justice system ruled in favor of his appeal and acquitted him after Mahathir was no longer in power!

In a way, Anwar Ibrahim is indebted to Abdullah Ahmad Badawi for not interfering with the judicial system in his case.

God knows as to whether Anwar is really guilty of all that he had been charged with and accused of but then again, my question is ' Is anyone of us really squeaky clean and free from sin?'

Mahathir remains obstinate to this day about his stand that Anwar is rotten to the core and a sodomite!

Why the hell did he remain quiet about him all those years that he groomed Anwar to be his deputy and second in command? What other proofs does he want to show to prove his allegations? Being who he is , there is no way that he can say he didn't know?

He had tabs on everyone in his Cabinet. He was the ultimate Commander in Chief of Malaysia and his intelligence unit was par excellente!

Is Anwar what Mahathir says he is? We will never know. All we have before us is what the courts have ruled and deemed to be the truth and nothing but the truth.

The reality is ...'truth' can be conjured up to be this and that and fabricated or conjured up to be whatever the 'powers to be' want and we know that anything is possible nowadays especially so when it is concerning power and position in the highest offices of this and any other nation on earth!

So, Anwar got his freedom finally and returned to his family. After spending his time overseas recuperating and had restorative surgery carried out on his spine, the 'Reformist' is now on the verge of being able to take part in the politics of this nation again after serving his sentence.

The problem with Anwar is that he is just too bloody excited and impatient to be back in power and it shows in the manner in which he was so carried out doing a 'jig' in the recent Ijok 'buy election'.

RTM, the main choreographer of the BN's mass media propaganda machine so cleverly exploited that scene of Anwar doing a 'bergencok' to the beat of the Indian drums accompanying his former tennis partner and long time friend Dato Nallakarupan on the election stage and unable to hold his excitement over the supposedly repeat of the PKR's win in Lunas in the last election there, screwed himself by that one moment of over anticipation!

Thus, that clip of him doing the jig was repeatedly broadcast over the prime news slot in RTM's TV effectively destroying any little feelings of sympathy or trust that the people came to have on him to be one whom they could trust again after his episode in prison and having his reputation sullied by the former PM and his 'yes'men.

It's not easy to recover lost trust and Anwar just spoilt his chances to make a comeback into the hearts of the Malaysian 'gullible' public when he lost control of himself over there that night in Ijok!

It's true that the poor man did no major sin in dancing to the rhythm and beat of the Indian drums...but to the ordinary villager being brainwashed repeatedly of the scene showing Anwar 'bergencok' it came across as a sign of arrogance and raising doubts as to whether 'this is the man that they want to support?'.

I am speaking from my heart as I see where Anwar slipped up and destroyed any slim chances that the PKR had in winning that by election.

The chances of the PKR clinching the votes of the people of Ijok was further dealt another 'boo boo' when it's candidate Tan Sri Khalid had a slip of the tongue in asking the people to vote for the Barisan Nasional when he was standing for election as the Opposition's candidate!

Whether it is true that RTM manipulated the videoclip and had it edited to come out like that, the damage was done and the results of that election again saw the PKR's hopes and dreams evaporated and dissipate away into the night.

Do not underestimate the awesome power of multimedia! With today's state of the art advancements in technology, anything can be done to turn the truth into false and false into the 'truth'.

They can turn a 'saint' into a sinner and vice versa!

Now, I hear Anwar is accused of interfering with the way things are taking place in PKR's internal politics and he is said to have denied his friend Nallakaruppan the candidacy in Ijok which he had promised to him in the first place before asking Dato Nalla to relinquish his place and had Tan Sri Khalid nominated to stand for election there where he lost due to all the above stated factors.

Anwar is also accused of interfering in the PKR Youth Elections and his contesting for the party's Presidency against his own wife, the incumbent PKR President, Datin Dr.Wan Azizah, who sacrificed so much for him and against another candidate and old timer in PKR for the seat.

Talk about them being power crazy! Even when Anwar has received more than 120 nominations from the entire PKR divisions ; his wife and incumbent PKR President has received 20 and the other challenger only 10, none of the two challenging him wants to back out and let him be the President of the PKR!

What does that tell us about politics? It's all about power and position. Money, fame and an ego trip!

The husband taking on his wife and the wife still adamant to hold on to her position and not give way to her husband, the very man for whom she fought for all these while and sacrificed so much!

Now, do you wonder why some dinosaurs from Mahathir's Cabinet still clampdown onto their seats of power? It's all about money! Power and position!

We are talking billions and millions of cold hard cash here or is it now just a matter of figures stashed away in offshore and foreign banks?

Samy Vellu asks ' who can do a better job in taking 'care' of the Works Ministry if not him? The man speaks as if he is an immortal! He just lost his younger brother. My condolences.

Anyway, back to Samy.

Does he think that if he was to drop dead today, the nation is going to go under? All the bridges, highways and infrastructure gonna implode the second he kicks the bucket? Humbug!!!

'Qullu nafsin iza iqatul maut'! Every living being will taste Death! None is gonna be here forever save Almighty Allahu Ta'ala.

Same goes for Keng Yaik, Rafidah Aziz, Nik Aziz, Lim Kit Siang and Karpal! All seem to be so bloody reluctant to let go of power or their positions although they are all past their due dates!

RTM today in it's TV News slot had it's news anchor ( the Malay lady in the 'Sharizat Jalil style' tudung ) smear another new insult upon Anwar when the usage of the word 'wahyu' @ 'divine revelation' was uttered by the newscaster attributing it to Anwar's 'meddling' in the powerplay taking place in the PKR!

Really devilish of RTM to stoop to such low levels of character assassinations of the BN's opponents and in which RTM now seems to excel so unabashedly!

Does Anwar have any chance to ever stage a comeback to the seats of power when faced with such dirty rotten tricks of the trade and having to deal with the BN's SEDIA GEMPUR' thug squads further strengthened by their mass media mega propaganda machine under the tutelage of it's Information Minister , a former journalist and staunch Mahathir 'hero worshipper' in the person of Datuk Zainuddin Maidin?

It's impossible! Anwar just can't do what Nelson Mandela did. The circumstances and situations here are just not the same as in South Africa where even after suffering from the injustice of apartheid, the people there still managed to have a change in government and now enjoy a sense of freedom to choose whom they please to lead them in government.

Over here in Bolehland, the only one's who can 'Boleh' seems to be the BN. The Opposition are just too disunited and disorganized, constantly squabbling amongst themselves over issues such as the Bumi, Non Bumi matters, Race and Religion differences and remain as they were since Independence way back in 1957.

In my opinion, Anwar Ibrahim just can't stage a comeback ala Nelson Mandela. Period.

Blog Wars - Let's not come asunder now!

I hope that the present 'Blog War's ' taking shape in our Malaysian Blogosphere dissipates away into cyberspace and everyone getting so bloody worked up about where the embryonic 'All Blogs' is heading , give it a rest and wait till it's reached it's ultimate station.

Sure, we all worry about being dragged into anyone's political agenda or vested interests and do not want to be turned into a 'pressure group' serving any political party's interests.

Some choose to be silent observers, some like me and Ktemoc raise our concerns in our blogs and express our thoughts so very clearly, taking care not to cause hurt to the feelings of those in the protem committee ; yet get to deliver our message to them straight up.

The reason I am sharing my concerns here is to ensure that those of us actively blogging here in Malaysia will not end up as the ones responsible for the failure of the grouping to come into existence due to such warmongering in cyberspace.

The Malay saying of 'Bagai menarik rambut dari tepung ; rambut usah terputus, tepung usah berselerak' meaning ' As pulling a hair from the flour ; let not the hair break off or the flour get scattered' is referred.

We need to exercise wisdom when discussing something as sensitive as this.

The context of my saying so is asking all those who are commenting about the subject at Susan Loone's posting to exercise commonsense and goodwill when commenting about something that has yet to be finalized.

We are being scrutinized and monitored by the powers that be who are just itching to pull the plug on us (metaphorically speaking) due to our being able to express our thoughts at will online bypassing all the usual censorship that is imposed on the regular print and broadcasting media.

Let's join ranks as a coalition of bloggers yet retain our own individual stand about anything we feel strongly about especially where it concerns our faith, social standings and political leanings.

I am confident that those who value and appreciate what we have now before us will cease to continue nitpicking and griping about the 'All Blogs' agenda or plans and let things settle down first.

As I said earlier, we who are blogging here have a choice. To be or not to be is up to you and me.

For now, all I ask is for us to be united in our hearts and minds to remain free to be able to speak as we see fit about all that we so treasure and cherish.

Viva Malaysian Bloggers. Stay cool and remain committed to our cause. We can do this!

Stay united and let's all close ranks for now. I wish you all the best. Cheers!

Tun Dr.Mahathir -Too bloody late to try heal the nation!

When I watch this videoclip of Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad speak about 'sending signals to the rotten government', I wonder if he realizes that the signal will bounce back to him?

This 'rotten government' that he speaks of is his legacy left to us Malaysians as a result of his 22 long years of cooking up and serving us as the main dish of his premiership.

Who appointed Abdullah Ahmad Badawi? Who anointed Najib Tun Razak and made sure that the Deputy Premiership went to his chosen one instead of Muhyiddin Haji Yassin?

Abdullah Badawi had no choice. Tun Dr.Mahathir saw to it that the chain of command was to be as we have it now.

Only thing Mahathir didn't foresee was that there were certain forces beyond his control that today have brought things to a stage where many of his pet projects came to an early grave and were cancelled by Abdullah Badawi's Cabinet.

Looking at him speaking the way he does in this Malaysiakini interview , brings forth his dissatisfaction at the way Abdullah Badawi has sidestepped him and denying him the access to pull strings anymore as he was so used to all those long 22 years in being the Top Gun in the government.

When he says that the people must use their brain and vote smartly, he forgets that it was him who had been schooling the citizens of Malaysia to be what they are today, programmed to just submit and remain subservient to whoever is in charge of the government of the day.

Tun Dr.Mahathir did not allow anyone to speak up and voice out their opinions freely during his watch and those who did were soon sought out and sent packing to Kamunting.

Such dictatorial commandeering of the people of Malaysia slowly but surely destroyed any sense of willpower in the majority of the Malaysians as a whole and they became afraid.

Only a small number of Malaysians had the courage to oppose him and they were tracked and kept tabs on by the Special Branch, our nation's own Intelligence Team of the Royal Malaysian Police.

Operation Lalang which Mahathir ordered to be carried out saw many of those brave citizens of Malaysia arrested ; consisting of many Opposition leaders, newspaper editors and those deemed to be a danger to the Prime Minister and his government.

Today, when he speaks like this, asking the cuckolded and defanged ordinary citizens of this nation to 'send a signal to the 'rotten government' ; who is he kidding?
The BN Government through the years under him has effectively turned the majority of the Malaysians into a 'couldn't care less society' who fear retribution from the authorities if they were even to go stage a picket or protest against it!
People get bashed up by the FRU even if they were to gather by the roadsides brandishing a banner or poster denouncing anything they feel is not right and injust!

Blood has been shed and limbs broken by the truncheons and boots of the FRU just for some folks who tried to 'send just a few signals to the ones in Putrajaya'!

The recent Machap and Ijok 'buy elections' saw the voters threatened and forced to submit to intimidating threats and shows of force by the overbearing BN machinery bulldozing away any minute chances of the people to even affect any change in the political representation in those rural areas ; what more of any urban constituencies throughout the nation in the coming GE?

If the present BN 'rotten government' that Tun Dr.Mahathir has left for us will give no quarter to the people to send any small signal to the powers that be in those two recent 'buy elections', what is he talking about 'using your brain' to vote whom you will?

We all know that the present state of affairs in this country gives no room for dissent or a level ground for a gentlemanly contest 'democratically'.

Results can be rigged and voters can be traced back to their ballot papers and found out as to whom they cast their votes for?

How can I say this?

Well, as being a voter myself and once being one of the 'Ketua Pusat Pengundian' back in Penang, I know that the ballot papers given out are marked and issued according to the electoral roll. I am sure that the ballot papers can be traced back to their casters.

Hence, the notion that Tun is speaking of sending signals to the 'rotten government' that he himself groomed and turned into the menacing behemoth that it is now today, is just a wasted opinion that would not change anything even if he was to broadcast it live to the entire nation.

The damage has already been done, dear Tun. Malaysians simply have lost that 'Semangat Perjuangan' that used to be prevalent during the times of the Tunku and Tun Razak.

'Under Mahathir No Opposition' that UMNO came to be known by has really seeped too deeply into the hearts and minds of the very people whom you are asking to 'vote responsibly' today.

Today, your precious Barisan Nasional threatens to disconnect the Bloggers from cyberspace for daring to ill speak your successors. Who do you think taught them to be so? Is it not you?

Citizens of Malaysia today so wish to engage and take part in the democratic process and forge a better future for all but again, your legacy is simply too well entrenched and formidable that it's comparable to the general Malaysians as being fragile 'cucumbers' trying to make a run against the BN Government 'durians' !

Guess who gets skewered?

So dear Tun, there's not much room for any brave Malaysian to stand up and state his or her mind freely, thanks to you and your legacy of all the draconian ISA, OSA, AUKU, etcetera effectively stifling any attempts at sending any such signals that you ask for today.

Malaysians are where they are today as a result of your brilliant leadership and will remain so for the next century or so unless someone along the years running the country decides to do a drastic turnabout in government policies and get rid of all that you have set up and being carried on by Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his team.

Till that moment comes , if it ever does, here's wishing you a nice day!

Malaysians won't forget what you have made them to be. Really. You have dispensed them the wrong medications during your 22 long years of practice.

Too late to try prescribe them any placebos. They simply can't get it up ; thanks to you! :)

Diabetes Mellitus -It's Confirmed. I am a Diabetic!

Assalamualaikum to all Muslims reading this and May Peace be upon the rest! Ameen.

Well, it's confirmed. I am now officially a Diabetic.

I went to check the results of my Blood Test at the Lady Templar Hospital @ Klinik Kesihatan Cheras this morning.

The results show that I had tested positive for Diabetes, the dreaded condition that billions suffer from. All my years of drinking Coca Cola has finally come to this.

Hehehehe... Can I seek damages from the world's # 1 soft drink giant company? Any ideas?

I was fortunate to be seen by Dr.Razila Farra binti Razali, who was very pleasant in her manners and the way she took her time to explain to me my condition and how it came to be.

She also gave me some reading material about Diabetes , how to control it, my diet plan and advised me to start exercising regularly! I am so glad to have the good luck to be seen by a caring doctor.

Usually, we hear of doctors who are aloof and have a certain kind of dismissive attitude in the nation's government clinics and hospitals.

Dr. Razila was however a rare gem and truly a professional who made me feel comfortable during my check up.

She has prescribed me 'Metformin HCI 500 mg' to be taken orally half a tablet in the morning after breakfast and another half tablet after dinner. Prescription given for a month. Alhamdulillah. May Allah SWT bless the good doctor. Ameen.

I thank the Ministry of Health for subsidizing the medical treatment for us the citizens and charge us just a ringgit for the consultation and prescription of medicine. If I had gone to a private clinic or hospital, the bills alone would kill me! :P

I know some folks would say that it's our money as we pay our taxes and it is just right that we get the proper treatments from the government medical centers accordingly.

Still, I believe we have to appreciate such services and the facilities we have being provided to us by the authorities and not just be a griping 'nitpicker' all the bloody time as some ingrates do!

Back to my health history. I had quit smoking in 1987 when I got married for the first time as a post marriage vow to myself.

Quitting smoking however opened up a craving for sweets and I had indulged myself very much since then.

Anyway, I am grateful to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala for sparing me the complications of the condition that makes many lose their limbs due to negligence of not taking care of their ailments.

I also thank Allah the Merciful for giving me the chance to realize my condition now before I deteriorate into a much severe condition if I had been ignorant about my condition.

I have had the good luck of realizing my true health status as a result of my taking the blood sugar level test last month when I went to visit my sister at the Phang Oo Lang Treatment Centre in Kepala Batas, Penang.

I has tested a very high 18.8 for the blood sugar level then.

After taking the prescribed herbal medication which I obtained from the centre, I had tested as above in the result of the blood test done at the Lady Templar Hospital @ Cheras Clinic - 12 .0 (fasting) and 17.3 (after drinking a glass of very sweet glucose drink).

Alhamdulillah, today I have been tested again and the reading is down to 13.8.

This is after taking the herbal medications for the past two weeks now from the Phang Oo Lang Treatment Centre and eating normally albeit going easy on the drinks.

I now take the no calories Equal Sugar with my black coffee. No more sweetened condensed milk for me. Coke is out of the question altogether. No more sweets too...:(

Once in a while, I settle for a 100 Plus Isotonic drink just to satisfy my palate.

So, those of you who are healthy, do take care of yourselves and avoid ending up like me. Go easy on the canned drinks and reduce your intake of all the sweet but potentially deadly foods and drinks.

I have seen what Diabetes can do to our limbs when I was at the Treatment Centre in Kepala Batas. The wailing of the old Chinese lady still remains fresh in my mind.

Got to avoid ending up like that! Damn scary!

Best to be safe now and start changing my routine for the sake of a healthy tomorrow.

May Allah SWT grant me that! Ameen. All my best to you folks.

'All Blogs' - Reason why some Bloggers fuss about it!

Myself sharing a laugh with Howsy, Politikus and Nathaniel Tan

I am following the 'heated discussions' taking place in Susan Loone's blog where Blogger Monsterball is raising a ruckus about why 'All Blogs' has yet to clear the air about these following things?

Indeed, this is the current picture now:
(1) All-blogs looks partisan (this is perceived by some)
(2) All -Blogs do not have any members (is that a fact?)
(3) All-Blogs cannot speak for all bloggers because it doesn't have a mandate to do so (that is a plea).
Excerpt from Susan Loone's blog.

Picture shows Pokku sharing his views in the forum.

Even Desiderata has to come in and defend 'All Blogs' and make an impassioned plea for the questioner to give some leeway for 'All Blogs' to at least take root first as it is only in the very early formative stage and nothing is final yet - (Read - " Pro Tem" )

Guess who's this tough guy? It's none other than the Mobster, of course!

Tch..tch..tch..tch!
It pains me to see 'politics' rear it's bloody ugly head in our Malaysian Blogosphere just when things are starting to come into being for those who so choose to come together as a body to defend the 'Bloggers' rights to free speech and freedom of expressions.

To me, I just do not wish to align myself to this or that even though I have stated publicly that I am all for PAS governing this country in the future!

But it doesn't mean or imply that I will support any unjust , unfounded attempt by any so called 'leader' to create an unhealthy atmosphere of fear and oppressive regime downtrodding on each and every Malaysian's right to live their life's at the expense of the truth, fairness and justice that is to be found in the actual teachings of Islam!

Hence, none should go assuming that I will just 'rubberstamp approve' of all that's taking place in PAS and support them blindly. I am all for fair play and justice to everyone. Period.

Maverick SM and Rocky with two young Bloggers whom I have yet to know.

'All Blogs' is headed by Rocky Bru and his fellow protem committee. Those who do not feel like rooting for him and his team can just choose not to be with the group.

No one's forcing you, are they?

You can continue to be as you are and not align yourself to whatever group is out there. Be free!

What I can figure out to be the 'root cause' of the dissension of the concerned Blogger's is the usage of the word 'All Blogs'!

That sort of gives a misleading idea that the 'All Blogs' bloggers grouping really represents all Malaysian Bloggers when it truly does not and can ever not!

This is what I perceive to be 'eating away' at the hearts and minds of those who choose otherwise.

Whatever it is, I truly hope that those who aren't happy about the way the 'All Blogs' committee are going about it , to approach the committee members personally and thrash it out with them in a more gentlemanly manner and avoid creating a 'tempest' whereas we are all looking for a sweet refreshing breeze of the 'fresh air of freedom' we all so desperately seek ... to be able to speak and share freely what's in our hearts and minds.

Isn't this what we all set out to do?

Here's an email from a fellow blogger who somehow wasn't able to post his comment in the comment box. So, I am putting his email up here instead. Click on it to see it in a larger view.

Wa'alaikumsalam brother. As you wish, it's here. But I do hope that you sign up with Blogger, then you'd be able to post your comments to any blog the normal way. This is just to fulfill your wish. Hope to hear from you again. Wassalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

Bloggers Gathering at Lakeview Club 19th May 2007

Video courtesy of Fat Bidin Media.

Myself with YM Raja Petra Kamarudin (Photo courtesy of Pokku)

I attended the Bloggers United Gathering last Saturday, the 19th of May,2007 at the Lakeview Club, Subang Jaya.

Mob 1900 was the first Blogger who came to greet me as I arrived at the club and was among the early birds. His ID fits him to a 'T' as the man was built like a 'pro wrestler'..hehehehe. Pleasure to meet you Chris! As always, big sized guys are the most amiable ones and was proven right in the person of Mob1900!

I met Nat and Politikus who greeted me as I arrived in the lobby area. Desiderata was there too.

Lucia Lai was at the 'reception area' registering the attending Bloggers. She looked quite different from her pictures in her blog and I spoke to her in Hokkien telling her so.

Anyway, I greeted her and was happy to finally meet in person the 'adversaries online' whom I have hated her guts for being a tad 'Islamophobic' and I told her so to her face.

But as I was there to attend the gathering to know what was going to be discussed and decided about the way the proposed 'All Blogs' was heading , I kept my cool and decided to put aside my personal feelings about what I felt about the individual Bloggers whom I have classified as being 'civil' or 'offensive' to Islam and Muslims by the manner in which they blog or pass comments concerning my faith.

I came to meet several Bloggers for the first time in person and slowly started to be able to relate to them by way of at last seeing how they looked like compared to their Blogging persona's and ID's.

Amongst the Bloggers I came to meet for the first time in person were Pokku @ Tengku Mohd Ali Bustaman, Sang Kelembai @ Zaharin Mohd Yasin, Abdullah Badawi's # 1 " fan" , Rocky Bru @ Ahirudin Atan, Hafiz @ the_earthinc, with whom I have had a few exchanges online, Howsy, Kenny Sia, etc.

I also came to know Big Dog @ the man's really quite huge! Just hope he stays healthy. Ameen.

I have met Jeff Ooi in person before. Have met RPK @ Raja Petra Kamaruddin at the Century Paradise Club and been in communication with him often. I met Sonia Randhawa, the CIJ Executive Director and also Tian Chua, PKR's 'Tian An Men' hero. I saw Tony Pua, Citizen Nades, and also Cakap Tak Serupa Bikin.

Marina Mahathir was there. John Lee MK , the teenage blogging wonder was also present. Quite a bloody smart chap if you ask me. The young Blogger is gonna be quite a bright spark in the future.

The gathering started off with a forum by the panel of speakers as listed in the advertisement. Desiderata was the presiding Master of Ceremony and he was the one handling the forum.

Jeff Ooi started off the evening by sharing his views about the blogging world and how he came to realize that by way of blogging, he could at last share news and views with the world in general and Malaysians in particular.

There was some comparing of the previous regime and the current one in terms of the 'freedom of expression' or lack of it and as to whether things have improved for us or remain as it was and getting worse by the day , what with all the recent calls to bring the Bloggers into the control of the relevant authorities or register them in an attempt to curb the free speech we currently 'enjoy'.

Rocky Bru spoke next and as expected updated the attending Bloggers as to why they visited Anwar Ibrahim the other day? His reason was that Zainuddin Maidin, the Malaysian Minister of 'Information' had not responded to their request to see him. Hence, they just met with DSAI who was willing to meet the 'All Blogs' protem committee.

Tony Pua spoke about his involvement with the DAP and his role with the 'Rocket'. Pity that I didn't bring my tape recorder along. Could relate to you better as to what the speakers touched upon. The video above has only excerpts of what the speakers spoke about at the forum.

Tian Chua spoke about his blog and also the direction of where his party, the PKR was heading towards and how the Blogosphere is playing a very important part in the spreading of news and views plus all other important information to the masses. The role that Blogs play are getting more important by the day and we bloggers need to keep up our focus and attention to this online bastion of freedom of speech.

Marina Mahathir spoke about her column in the Star for the past 17 years and how she is now enjoying the interaction she is getting from visitors to her blog compared to responses to her writings in her column in the Star.

Citizen Nades spoke about his column in The Sun and how he and his journalist colleagues suffered during the 'Operation Lallang.

He shared with the bloggers his feelings about why Bloggers need to carry on blogging but also to watch out for the repercussions if they touched on the powers that be. The gist of his talk was about being prepared to reap what we sow, in a nutshell. No one can argue about that, can we?

Sonia Randhawa spoke about the need for Bloggers to add to their knowledge and blog responsibly and accurately as possible in order to give credibility to what we blog about. Fair enough.

Raja Petra Kamaruddin shared some of his views about the blogging world here in Malaysia and the history of his Malaysia-Today Blog, the # 1 Malaysian Alternative News Blog , heading the alternative news media here in Bolehland. It is reported to have a million over hits daily!!!

Pokku asked that 'All Blogs' stay non aligned and not pro the BN or the BA but more to being 'Pro Malaysian'. Rocky Bru responded affirmatively and said that as far as he was concerned, he had no objections to it.

In short, the forum dragged on from about 6.30pm to cross over to about 9.00pm whereby Big Dog growled that he was hungry! Fully supported by all the other hungry bloggers as well.

The food was the usual run of the mill buffet spread and after having our dinner and getting to exchange cards with the bloggers whom I came to meet, I left at about 10.50pm.

I have decided that I will remain independent and non aligned to any group and just do what I do best, speak my mind as I please.

I have my own reasons in doing so. All Blogs can just do what they want. All the best to them.

Overall, it was good to meet up with my fellow Bloggers and establish connections in the real sense of it, but the gist of the gathering was just sort of a get together of online strangers getting to know the others in person.

At the end of the day, it's just like any group or organization where people try to come together for a common cause and try to be cordial offline whilst they hate each other's guts online as we can see taking place at Susan's blog.

I have no problems coming to know my fellow bloggers in the name of blogging camaraderie but it doesn't mean that I have to go with the flow with whatever that doesn't go with my principles of standing up for my faith and it's causes.

I wish that my fellow Bloggers will understand my stand and allow me to be so. Thanks.

Uptrenders are owed an apology!

The recent fiasco regarding the blanket 'fatwa' spewed forth by the self claimed 'ulamak's of this nation about the internet based fly by night schemes had in a way affected the income and businesses of Uptrenders like myself.

Even though Uptrend Network Sdn Bhd had nothing to do with all those 'get rich quick' scams and schemes, the blanket ruling by those who think that they are spotlessly clean and absolutely sinfree, caused many potential prospects to shy away from joining our networks!

Talk about causing so many fellow Malaysians unnecessary hardships because of their shortsightedness and gross failure to take the tremendous impact of their stating that the internet based schemes are haram and not clarifying the guilty ones and those that are legitimate?

It's like saying that because certain individuals masquerading as 'alim's screwed up and committed zina, corruption and criminal breach of trust's as we see every now and then in the newspapers and mass media, every 'ulamak' is a bloody rotten scoundrel!

Now, how would these chaps feel if I go around saying so? Pissed off? Angry like hell?

Well, I sure hope that these irresponsible ones will get to taste a tit for tat situation soon in their life's!

I have met many fellow Uptrenders who complain that their business too had been seriously affected just as I suffered last month.

Do the fatwa spewers feel any sympathy or remorse towards those of us who got hurt by their blanket rulings? Do they have any conscience left in their smug egoistic selfs?

No sirree! It's not in them to say 'sorry'! I hope that they get to taste the extreme hardships that many of us felt last month! May they get boils on their butts! Idiots!

These are the kind who do not bother about others and imagine that they are the saviors of the Ummah!

The reality is that the Ummah here are rotting away in various other major sins which somehow does not get their attention as much as the business aspects of the internet schemes did!

Why is it that these same fellows close one eye and do not raise any tantrums against the fast spreading sinful activities in the nation with the same gusto that they showed in the internet based schemes issue?

That's why I am so pissed off! Anyway, Uptrenders have now been proved to have nothing to do with those schemes and thus we are on the way up again.

I just hope that the spoilsports and killjoys shut the hell up and mind their own business next time!

Go do your preaching at the sinspots right before you and take them to task if you have the balls to do it!

Like As Syahid Hassan al Bana did! Then, you'd be doing the right things as an 'ulamak' in the truest sense of it! As far as I am concerned, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala knows us best!

He it is who knows what's truly in the hearts of mankind! There are just too many holier than thou's running about in our midst at the moment throwing sand into other's rice bowl under pretext of being the saviors of the Ummah! Utter poppycock!

All Bloggers Need to remain Non Aligned from both the BN or the BA

I refer to the recent All Blogger's Protem Committee's visit to the Parti Keadilan Rakyat's Special Advisor, Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim recently.

Blogger KTemoc expressed his worries in his blog regarding such a visit and it's implications upon us Bloggers as a whole whereby the present BN Government with it's 'cry wolf' ministers are already creating a fuss about Bloggers this and Bloggers that!

The Abdullah Badawi government although having promised not to censor the Bloggers as per the MSC Internet Users Charter are now giving way to idiotic calls from their ministers and deputy ministers to curtail the freedom of expression being enjoyed by Bloggers and are just awaiting their go ahead from the powers that be to clampdown upon those of us who blog.

The All Bloggers visit to Anwar Ibrahim gives way to those in the BN government who are itching to block the only free platform left for us to speak up for ourselves and our rights to 'Freedom of Expression' by way of official intervention through legal by laws.

I echo Brother KTemoc's thoughts and viewpoints about the need for us Bloggers not to be aligned or slanted towards either the BN or the BA.

As a Malaysian Muslim Blogger who writes and speaks my mind as to the many issues and matters affecting myself as a citizen of this country and to help defend my faith against unwarranted attacks or to speak up about any issue worth my time and attention, I feel the same way as Brother KTemoc does about the All Bloggers Pro Tem Committee visiting Anwar Ibrahim.

Such a visit will have it's implications upon us Bloggers and seen to be pro the Opposition and anti the BN.

We do not oppose the BN or the BA per se. We are just speaking up for our rights and demanding a fair, just and responsible government.

Whether it is the BN or the BA, if both do not practice what they preach, it leaves us back at square one.

Politicians will always twist and turn to make their mark.

The advent of the Blog as an individual's platform to voice out one's opinion without fear nor favor ought to be kept as neither pro nor quo.

Yes, it is the right and choice of any Blogger to champion whatever political party they align themselves to individually but I think that the All Bloggers Alliance should stay non aligned as an entity if it is supposed to represent all of us as a body.

I may be all for PAS ruling this nation but if any of the PAS's leaders screw up and expect us, who are their supporters to seal our mouths and remain silent, they can dream on.

All Bloggers need to take our feelings into consideration and do not assume that they speak for the entire Malaysian Bloggers Community without taking a referendum as to where we stand on any such issues especially when it involves our liberties to be able to blog as we please.

In this context, I stand with KTemoc on his views here.

Enter the Ninjabis! British Muslimah's kick back!

Assalamualaikum to all Muslims reading this and May Peace and the Guidance of Allah be upon the rest.

You might have heard of the film 'Enter the Dragon' ; this and that before.

Well, now brace yourself for the 'Enter the Ninjabis!'

British Muslimah's have now taken up self defense classes after their safety and wellbeing when being in public and face the harassments of those Islamophobes!

Reuters has published a report on this phenomenon after Muslim women face a growing danger from attacks by those who targeted Hijabis and Scarf wearing womenfolk just because they were Muslims.

In a sense, this taking up self defense classes is good for the ladies as they can protect themselves from the riff raff of society who prey upon them.

In our own country here in Malaysia, the rising number of vicious sex related crimes against our womenfolk has been worrying us and the ineffective justice system has not nipped the problem in the bud so to speak!

If only the murder and rape victims like the late Canny Ong, Nur Suzaily Mokhtar and others had been able to retaliate and smash up the bastards who had violated and murdered them as a result of their being helpless, they would still be alive today!

I am all for the empowerment of our womenfolk, no matter whether they are Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Taoists, Hindus, etcetera!

The women of this world need to learn self defense as part of the necessary curriculum of the worldwide education systems and each and every person, male or female be taught the basic martial arts to protect themselves from harm.

The current justice system does nothing to stem the growing number of crimes against women and we need to punish the bastards who are harming the people with nothing less than the capital punishments for rapes and molestations!

Same goes for incest cases. It is nothing short of being lower than the animals to commit such inhumane crimes against one's own flesh and blood! Thus the need for the Hudud Laws to be implemented upon all the filthy scum who are committing such heinous crimes against the women of this world.

The problem is there will always be those who would oppose the Hudud under the banner of human rights, this and that bullshit!

What about the rights of the poor victims like the late Canny Ong, Nur Suzaily Mokhtar and the hundreds and thousands of others, now dead and forgotten by the system?

I welcome this move by the British Muslimah's to take up self defense and kick the asses of any bastards who dare to disturb them. If I had my way, I'd love to see the rapists and molesters be burned at the stake just like they did in the earlier centuries.

The time has come for us to be cruel to the vermin in order to be kind to the innocent victims of today as the so called 'civilized' world has obviously failed to stem the tide of vicious crimes against the people of the world.

It's time, the ladies here in Malaysia do the same as what the 'Ninjabis' of Britain have started.

So, dear Ninjabis of England, go kick ass! May the force be with you! Ameen!

BN or BA? Who deserves our votes in the next GE?

We Malaysians have been stuck with the ruling BN Coalition government since this nation became independent from the British in 1957.

Malaysians have come to resign themselves to think that if the BN is not there, progress will not continue in this nation.

The reality is that this nation lacks a strong viable Opposition. The BA @ Barisan Alternatif has yet to forge itself into a solid, co-operating coalition of alternative government to replace the Barisan Nasional.

One major reason is the main Malay Muslim Opposition party @ Parti Islam seMalaysia can't come to terms with the other major Opposition party in the form of the DAP @ Democratic Action Party.

DAP opposes PAS's main objectives of wanting to rule Malaysia according to the Syariah and turn Malaysia into an Islamic nation in the true sense based upon the tenets of the teachings of the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam.

PKR @ Parti Keadilan Rakyat is just a novice Opposition single seat party that came into being for the prime reason of freeing Anwar Ibrahim, the former Deputy Prime Minister during Tun Dr.Mahathir's premiership from prison, after he was sacked, beaten up black and blue, and incarcerated under trumped up charges!

PAS has tried over the years to make inroads into Malaysian's hearts but fail to deliver because of it's seeming to be hardliners in wanting to implement the Hudud Laws of Islamic Syariah. Thus, they still slip up at the polls and end up just being able to come into power in the east coast States of Kelantan and Terengganu (which they lost to the BN in the last GE).

PAS continues to hold sway over the Kelantanese by way of religious endearment to the people there and a very strong attachment of the Kelantanese to prefer the PAS 'ulamak's' to be in charge over them instead of the secular UMNO diehards. The people of Kelantan are known to be very committed to the religious figures in PAS hence their continuous support for the Islamic party.

The DAP is very Chinese based and it's approach over the years to Malaysians has always been to champion it's call for a Malaysian Malaysia where the Malays will no longer enjoy their Bumiputera status and everyone will be treated based on meritocracy. Thus the Malays shy away from even coming near to the DAP. They will never give up their rights and privileges that they have over the Non Malays of this nation.

You can say that they are racist but who isn't all over this world? Wherever you go in this world, the natives have always viewed immigrants as a danger and a challenge to their lands and properties.

The American Natives lost their lands to the British 'Pilgrims' who massacred the Red Indian tribes and usurped their rich continent using their advanced firepower and military might against the Indians equipped with just their bows and arrows plus their tomahawks.

The Sioux, Apache, Comanche, and all other tribes have been decimated and reduced to living in 'reservations' and have lost their traditions and culture over the last century.

Colonialists have always robbed the native people of all the lands in this world through might and justice is always seens through the eyes and the slanted views of the dictators.

China through the annals of Time has seen many similar massacres and genocide take place in it's vast nation through wars and skirmishes wrought upon it's own people by it's Emperor's and now by it's own 'People's Army'!

What rights does it give it's own people? Hundreds of thousands of it's own Chinese citizens in the form of the Falun Gong practitioners have perished recently and are still being killed to harvest their organs for sale to others by the communist regime. This is taking place as we speak.

Ethnic and religion based massacres and genocide take place every now and then in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Kashmir. Who wouldn't want to hold on to whatever piece of land they have and possess and just roll over and surrender to the newcomers?

Lim Kit Siang and Karpal Singh's strong stand against the setting up of an Islamic nation here in Malaysia stands as a vital challenge to the Malays of Malaysia and as Muslims, they view it as an affront to their rights and will never vote for the DAP save for a few liberals in the NGO's amongst the Malay masses who don't give a hoot to their heritage or traditions.

Thus, the present state of affairs denying the BA, their foundation to push over the ruling BN coalition from power!

When you don't hold sway over the hearts and minds of the Malays, you can forget about ever becoming the rulers of this country!

You can only come to be a formidable opponent to the BN if you can give and take on your policies and come to a compromise over certain issues especially the issue of the PAS's main objective to set up an Islamic Nation here in Malaysia in the truest sense of the word.

Till then, the BA will end up just as they have always been in all the General Election's we have seen take place here in Malaysia. The BN will keep on triumphing over the fragile BA and use whatever means they have at their disposal to bulldoze the Opposition away to the sidelines.

The ferocity of certain BA individuals in clamoring to be the Prime Minister of Malaysia is also a major reason why the people are put off by such displays of hunger for power by those who trumpet their intentions to gain power through whatever means to the extent that it looks so bloody vulgar and offensive!

I remember reading a hadith of the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam where Rasullullah SAW forbids the giving of office and position to those who seek it.

The one's who clamor for public office should not be voted into such positions for they will surely turn corrupt and abuse their position's for the sheer reason of their lack of sincerity towards being just to the general public.

Sadly, we see this reality here in our nation. Even though one is already past the expiry date's, both the BN and the BA politicians holding office today seem to be so fixated to hold on to their power no matter what and want to die in office. You know whom I am referring to ; no need for me to spell out their names.

Political parties in our nation seem to be dynasties now with former leaders grooming their offsprings to replace them in power. Same situation down south of our peninsular. Albeit, the small island republic is much more prosperous compared to us, the understanding of 'Freedom and Justice for All' again seems to be as I stated earlier.

Through the eyes and views of the dictators. The opposition are just alike cucumbers trying to roll over the durians. They'll get punctured if they go against the thorny ones or when the thorny one's roll over them.

So, fellow Malaysians, whom are you going to vote for in the next GE? Do so wisely!

May Peace and the Guidance of Allah be upon you ! Ameen.

Happy Teacher's Day! Selamat Hari Guru!

To all my teachers and ustaz's, I wish you all a 'Happy Teacher's Day'!

May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala bless you all with the best of Iman, health, wealth and give you your due rewards both here on Earth and in the Hereafter, Ameen Ya Rabbal Alameen.

To my wife, who is a Senior Computer Science Lecturer, I wish you a blessed and pleasant day as well! May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala bless you with the goodness of this world and the Akhirat! Ameen.

Teachers play a very important part in our life's. Without teachers, knowledge won't be what it is today. Those who teach us the good, bad and the ugly play a very important role in molding us to be who and what we are or become. The choice to learn anything is ours. So choose well.

The very first record we have of a teacher is in the Holy Qur'an where the Supreme Teacher of the entire Universe, Allah the Almighty, taught Our Father, the Prophet Adam Alaihis Salam, all that he needed to know, in Jannatul Firdaus, the highest Paradise.

This is before the rest of the humankind came to exist. So, none can lay claim to beat this record.

When the Archangel Jibreel Alaihis Salam appeared before the Last Messenger of God , the Holy Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam, he came in the form of a glowing shining light and uttered 'I'qra!' meaning 'Read!'

The very first word and revelation of the Holy Qur'an , God's Last Testament and Complete Guidance for all Mankind is to 'Read!'

Only by reading anything can anyone gain knowledge. To be able to read is to have learned how to read and one needs a teacher to learn how to do just that? Hence, the importance of us honoring our teachers, no matter who they are and how they come to be.

Never disrespect your teachers. In the Indian culture, they go to the extent of honoring their teachers right after their parents and before their deities.

'Maata; Pitaa; Guru; Deivam' so goes their tradition of honoring their parents first followed by their teachers and then their deities.

First and foremost, naturally we worship Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, then we love our Rasul Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam. In Islamic traditions, we are to honor our mother first, then our father, then our teachers.

Sure, every now and then, we hear of some teachers who do some crazy things including abusing the trust of the students and parents by committing despicable acts that I just don't have the heart to mention here!

These are isolated cases and goes to show that you can't just trust anyone a 100%!

Always go by the 70/30 rule. You place your trust just 70% upon anyone except Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and His Last Messenger!

Reserve the remaining 30% as your backup self belief to start all over again in case you get played out by the very person or persons upon whom you placed your trusts!

This is the reality of life. We do get played out every now and then by those whom we never even suspected of being capable of going against us but they will.

Teachers play a very important deciding role in our life's. Those who are true to their profession have always proved to be willing to sacrifice their whole life's for the sake of their pupils and I have been fortunate to have had good, examplary teachers in my life.

Amongst those whom I remember are Cikgu Sharifah, my favorite English Teacher in Jelutong English School (1965 to 1970). I was the 'Teacher's pet. Always ready to help her carry the textbooks and exercise books to the Teachers Room.

I also remember fondly Cikgu Ismail who cared for me very well and gave me pocket money at times to buy food at the canteen. Cikgu Ismail was devastated when I had to forego my place to enter the Penang Free School after getting a placing there and had to opt to go to Sekolah Abdullah Munshi because my late eldest brother Mohammad Ibrahim, with whom I was living back then, couldn't afford to pay for my school fees to attend the PFS!

What could I do back then? I was just a 12 year old kid. I just settled for whatever school he sent me to.

I loved studying English and did well in the subject. I was poor in Mathematics and remember many incidents where I got whacked by my Maths Teacher on my head with the ruler! Ouch!!!

I remember an incident where I fainted during the school assembly because I had not eaten any breakfast and my teachers had bought me a bun and gave me a cup of Milo to recuperate in the Teachers Room! Those were the days! Terimakasih Cikgu!

The teachers whom I remember during my secondary school stint at Sekolah Menengah Abdullah Munshi, Penang were the late Cikgu Yusof Dali who had the habit of imitating 'Haji Bakhil' the character of the stingy rich old man in P.Ramlee's Labu Labi series.

Arwah Cikgu Yusof used to imitate the 'Aku lesing nanti' complete with the action of wanting to kick the ass of any student who incurred his wrath during class! Hahahahaha!

Then there was Cikgu Zurina, one of the prettiest teachers I had teaching us Science. The boys used to sit up and pay the utmost attention during her class. Hehehehe.

I remember Cikgu Mat Nor who was a real terror! He used to come in to class, take off his 'Johnson Boots' and whack the teacher's table hard causing every student to jump and sit back in an orderly fashion during the class periods!

He was the school discipline master and thus was hated by those students whom he punished! His car was the target of their rage and the poor man had to do an all round inspection of his car before driving off for some of the students would place 5 inch nails onto his tyres to cause them to get punctured if he drove away without checking! Hehehehe...they were very naughty!

Kids nowadays have so many luxuries that I didn't have. They get so much pocket money today, have gadgets, laptops, handphones, own transport, etcetera.

They are a much pampered lot and seldom appreciate their teachers. Only when they grow up, get married and have children of their own, will they reflect back and wish that they had paid more respect and attention to their teachers?

Well, to each, their own. As for me, I appreciate and love all my teachers who have taught me and guided me to be what I am today.

I wish them all a blessed and 'Happy Teacher's Day'! Terima kasih Cikgu!

Malaysia - Let's Celebrate our Unique Differences!

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Ta'ala Wabarakatuh to Muslims reading this and May the Mercy, Peace, Blessings and Guidance of Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala be upon the rest.
Ameen Ya Rabbal Alameen.

Dear fellow Malaysians,
I wish to draw your attention to something that we all have with us but at times forget about it's importance and significance to our identities as true peace loving, tolerant, color blind, good natured Malaysians.

When I was living in Penang, my home state and epitome of what Malaysia stands for, I used to with pride point out to all the tourists and visitors to the Masjid Kapitan Keling, that the street where the masjid is being the only one in the world that I know of having all 4 major faith's of Malaysia well represented by being all there in the same street and existing in relative peace all these years.

I was the founding Secretary of the Malaysian chapter of the IPCI @ Islamic Propagation Centre International that was established together with my friends in Dakwah , Haji Kamaruddin Abdullah and Haji Mohd.Yassin.

Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling @ Pitt Street is the only street that I know of having a Roman Catholic Church at it's end, a Taoist Goddess of Mercy Chinese temple, Sri Maha Mariamman Hindu temple, the Kapitan Keling Masjid, and ending with another Chinese temple plus the Acheen Street Malay Mosque at it's other end!

Where else in the world would you find such a glorious example of Mankind living in religious tolerance and understanding?

We can be so different and unique in our own separate identities and ethnicities yet have the patience and forbearance of knowing to give some space and room to each other to co-exist and progress together despite being so ethnically, culturally and socially opposite!

This is the spirit that all our people must emulate and never ever forget for if we do , we will only be allowing our future generations to succumb to racial strife and destroy the fragile peace and social agreement we have inherited from our forefathers.

Malaysia's Politicians must remember that we have nowhere else to call home but this blessed land of Malaysia, the birthplace of us , Malays, Chinese, Indians, Orang Asli's, Sabahans and Sarawakians, etcetera.

Both the Barisan Nasional and the Opposition Alliance have a social responsibility to ensure that we do not sink this nation by drilling at race based grudges from underneath!

When Malaysians go to the polls, they vote for the parties that are contesting. We do not care as to who is the candidate as long as the person is worth our vote?

Unfortunately, recent events like vote-buying, state sponsored gangsterism, foul plays have marred the recent by elections in Machap and Ijok. The Malaysian voters need to remember all these when the GE comes into being.

Back to the main objective of this posting. Malaysians need to cherish and appreciate each other's heritage and preserve our individual identities and cultural treasures to remain and be there for our children and the future generations.

I for one always remember and pray for my friends from all walks of life and consisting of all the various races and creed that makes us Malaysians the envy of so many save for the May 13th, 1969 tragedy!

Neoh Hock Seng @ Merah, Sababathy @ Torpedo, Tan Eng Hong @ Bruce Lee, Subahan @ Squeaky, Bob Setiawan @ Indon , Ahmad Fuad @ Hang Tuah, Francis @ now Mohd Farouk, are some of my schoolmates I love and cherish for being themselves!

Class of 76, Sekolah Menengah Abdullah Munshi, Jalan Caunter Hall (now Jalan P.Ramlee), Penang, I salute you guys! May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala bless and protect you all! Ameen.

We need to realize what a wonderful place we have here in Malaysia and protect it with our life's if we must to avoid seeing it destroyed as many other countries today are falling apart due to wars and internal strifes arising from their failure to protect and preserve their motherland!

Let's celebrate our unique differences and learn to pick and choose our words when discussing with each other unlike some buffoons we have rampaging through our Parliament!

Malaysians! Preserve and uphold our rich heritage and cultures! We can and must do it!

Teach your children well and ensure that they mix well with all other races and creeds. You as the parent can guide them as to what's right ; what's wrong and what's to be avoided.

The future of this nation is in your hands and how you raise your children, the heirs of Malaysia!

E.M Haniffa, an Indian Muslim Da'ee Extraordinaire

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

I pray that you are in the best of Iman, health, wealth and safe from harm's way. Ameen.

Those of us who can understand and speak Tamil, will surely have heard of Nagore E.M. Haniffa, an Indian Muslim Tamil Nasyid singer who is a legend in his own right, contributing tremendously to the understanding of the Islamic faith and a Da'ee of Islam in his own way.

I can speak Tamil and understand it but unfortunately can't read or write this poetic language! Tamil is so rich in it's ancient heritage and so steeped in it's heritage of Indian classical culture and linguistic treasures.

E.M.Haniffa through his Tamil Islamic Songs has taught the Indian Muslims of the entire world to appreciate the Life and Success of our Greatest of Allah's Messenger's, the Blessed Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam.

The manner in which E.M.Haniffa sings and delivers the various struggles and sacrifices of the Holy Messenger can bring his listeners to tears literally if they truly understand and get to fathom the gist of his delivery of the Seerah of Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam.

You can visit one of the internet's major Tamil Islamic websites here. I have had countless enjoyable moments listening to his songs from this site.

May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala bless the website owner for providing Indian Muslims this wonderful website to listen to the legendary E.M.Haniffa croon his way into their hearts and refresh their minds time and time again, teaching them about the figures and personalities that have made Islam to be what it is ; God's Gift to the entire Mankind, to love each other and guide towards success.

Indian Muslims are not known to be singing and dancing to the tunes of Tamil cinema songs etc. Sure, they do watch Tamil movies and can relate to all that's taking place in the Indian subcontinent but as far as faith is concerned, Indian Muslims are very much into observation of the Islamic religious practices.

A major problem that affects them however is the lack of proper teachings from those who are considered as 'Alims' and 'Ulamaks' in the Tamil Muslim world.

Many so called Ulamaks take the people for a ride and at times have abused the trust that the ignorant masses amongst the Indian Muslims have put in them.

One of my friends and a client is a major philanthropist here in Malaysia who has to face hundreds and thousands of such 'Alim's' who make a beeline to his office in central KL, seeking donations and sadaqah under all kinds of pretexts.

The minute I see one with his phony external appearance and made to order 'commercial' 'Assalamualaikum', I can immediately smell a rat and am on my guard immediately. I am not committing fitnah here but just speaking straight from my heart.

Those who know exactly what I mean will agree with me that this is the norm here and all over the world as far as these 'roaming' 'Alim's' are concerned.

As far as the Indian Muslims are concerned, they know that such shysters in 'Alim's clothings exist and are on the prowl daily, 24 / 7. May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala protect us all from them. Ameen.

Back to E.M.Haniffa. He is a great singer who has helped clear the confusion amongst the Tamil Muslims about the faith of Islam. May Allah SWT reward him accordingly for his Dakwah efforts through the hundreds of Tamil Muslim nasyeeds that he has sung through his lifetime. Ameen.

Malaysian Voters -U get what u vote for!

I refer to the recent BN MP's shenanigans in the Malaysian Parliament where the 2 BN MP's from Jasin and Kinabatangan insulted the DAP female MP by inferring to her monthly 'leak' when she was highlighting the leaking roof of the Parliament recently.

This should open up the eyes of the Malaysian Voters as to the standard and quality of the BN MP's or the apparent lack of it!

In a way, the Malaysian citizens deserve the type of representatives that they vote into power in the BN ruling government.

Same goes for those of the Opposition. You can see whether it is worth our time and effort queuing up in the hot sun and vote such idiots into being the MP's or the SA's to represent the respective constituencies?

Some sleep in the Parliament, some just waste their time nodding off or seem to be in a stupor. Some raise worthless issues and matters. Some like the 2 BN MP's insult the womenfolk by their shows of crass uncouth mannerisms best suited for the low class degenerates found in the slums and back streets of any nation.

The people of Kinabatangan and Jasin...I pity you! Deepest condolences to those of you who voted the 2 idiots into power. They are not only not fit to be called 'Yang Berhormat's' ; they deserve to be slapped right across their ugly mugs by the female MP's whom they insulted!

The 'YB' title is wasted on such vermin! A gentleman does not address a woman like that! This reveals the type of low class simians who got past the gates of Parliament on the BN's ticket!

So much for 'CEMERLANG, GEMILANG, TERBILANG'! Looks like those 2 got in through their election time 'TEMBERANG'!

Will the citizens of Kinabatangan and Jasin ever learn? Let's all wait for the coming GE and see whether they did or will ever do?

Malaysians, observe how your MP's behave in Parliament. Decide wisely when the GE comes!

May 13 1969 - Lest we forget what racial hatred can do?

I have been invited by Elizabeth Wong to attend SUARAM's book launch tomorrow about the May 13, 1969 racial riots tragedy.

I reflect back on what little I remember as an 11 year old kid on that fateful day.

I remember my kampong at Jalan Kota Giam being put under curfew as it was just next to the Chinese village of Jalan Tokong Batu in East Jelutong, Penang.

From what I still recall was the sight of soldiers in green fatigues armed with rifles guarding the kampong and ordering us villagers to remain indoors.

The riots took place only in Kuala Lumpur and the Wikipedia has clear records of all that took place.

As a Malaysian, I pray that our nation does not have to see a repeat of such a massacre ever taking place here again.

Idiots in politics however seem to love stirring up trouble every now and then in our Parliament and in the online websites.

Maybe they have yet to experience the sufferings of those unfortunate victims of racial hatred themselves and are itchy to taste some themselves. Only if they themselves get hurt physically and emotionally will they stop the nonsense and start to cherish the relative peace and harmony we now have amongst us.

I hope that they will wise up and protect our nation and it's peace loving citizens from such a tragedy ever happening here again.

The key to that is of course - mutual respect and commonsense to prevail to those who can think rationally with their God given brains unlike some idiots we see jumping up and down in this nation's House of Parliament. I seriously hope the idiots will never be voted back to power in the next GE!

May Allah SWT protect us all from our own ego's and keep us all united in the spirit of Malaysia Boleh -" Hidup dalam Aman dan Bahagia Bersama-sama". Ameen Ya Rabbal Alameen.

Peace to all Malaysians.

Khurafat Practices still prevalent amongst Muslims

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

Yesterday, I performed my Juma'at Prayers at the Masjid Al-Azim, Pandan Indah, Selangor Darul Ehsan.

After the Solat, I was shaking hands with the jamaah when I came across this brother who had a black rope tied around his wrist.

I asked him why he had the rope tied on his wrist as what the Hindu's do? He answered that it was a 'nazar' @ a vow.

I reminded him that as Muslims, we are forbidden to place our hopes of protection from any harm on anything else but rely on Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and such an act is a grievous sin amounting to Shirk and Khurafat! These are amongst the major sins forbidden in Islam!

To rely on an amulet, charm or object to safeguard oneself from the unseen or any other danger is a clear act of disbelief of the Protection of Allah SWT! It is a straight forward case where one fears something else than God Almighty!

These acts of Shirk and Khurafat take place throughout the world and it is more rampant here in Asia and the Indian subcontinent. They hero worship many saints and 'awliya's instead of just Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala!

The Nagore Dargah Al Shariff in Georgetown, Penang is one such example of 'saint worship' carried out by some of the Penang Indian Muslim's community!

The ignorance of those who still believe in the absurd and idiotic practices that some Muslims do bewilders me as to why they still do all these things?

The teachings of Islam as taught to us by the Holy Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam is so clear and free from error yet over Time, many innovators have misled the people to believe in this and that and the Muslims as a whole suffer unnecessarily from their ignorance and end up committing Shirk towards Allah SWT, throwing themselves into the path of the Musyriks and Kuffars.

What difference is there between such a misguided Muslim and a Kaffir when both sport amulets and strings tied on their wrists to ward off evil?

Malays too do these stupid acts. I have seen Malays having such knotted strings tied around their wrists and necks. Indian Muslims are notorious for wearing amulets which in Tamil are called 'Tayattu' and in Malay as 'Tangkal'.

Bomohs @ Shamans make a killing in duping so many people out off their hard earned monies and some become so wealthy that they drive around in luxury cars and have their own buildings and mansions bought with the proceeds from their charging the idiots who flock to them hoping to be rid of this and that and to get whatever it is that they want or desire?

Read any of the local Malay tabloids and you can see countless advertisements of such 'Bomoh's' claiming to be able to heal all kinds of maladies and cure the clueless ignorants of their sufferings!

The Bomoh's themselves can't stop themselves from dying or getting sick, can they?

Why do some remain so poor if they knew what's hidden and of the future? Surely, they'd be able to become trillionaires if they could foresee the future by investing in sure fire stocks and businesses! They become rich by duping all the ignorant ones!

Muslims need to realize that if they go and see a Bomoh to seek a cure for this and that, they end up committing Shirk towards Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and when they place their trust and hopes on anything apart from God Almighty, they have sinned against Allah Azza Wa Jalla grievously and they have to repent sincerely from such acts of Shirk and never repeat it!

We need to study our faith well and when in doubt ask the learned and pious scholars about what we do not understand or need help with?

It is true that there exists a spiritual world and the dangers of being possessed by evil spirits and their likes is a reality but Muslims have the protection of the holy verses of the Al-Qur'an al Kareem to safeguard us and as a cure against such afflictions.

Study the Qur'an and realize that in the Surah Al Baqarah is the Ayatul Kursi -the most effective verses to exorcise away evil spirits or djinns that might have possessed anyone as a result of them being sent by any occult practicers.

Even the Holy Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam was affected by black magic sent to him by a Jew who practiced the black arts. The Jew had put a curse upon the Prophet by collecting some of the Prophet's hairs which were thrown out from his household and tied in knots around a figurine as in the voodoo practices of Haiti. The Jew had then hid the object in a well and had a large stone holding it down.

Rasulullah SAW became sick and very ill. Archangel Jibreel Alaihis Salam @ Gabriel was sent by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala to teach the Holy Prophet SAW the 'Healing Surah's @ Surah Al Falaq and Surah An Nas to heal the blessed Messenger!

Upon reciting the Surah's, the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam recovered promptly and the object was recovered from the well and upon Jibreel Alaihis Salam's recitation of the two Surah's , all the knots had come undone and the curse lifted! Yaqin @ Trust upon the Holy Verses of the Qur'an in healing thy self's!

We have it in us to save ourselves from any maladies brought about by either other mankind, the djinns or from the accursed Syaitan @ Satan!

To avoid being harmed by any of the evil spirits prevailing in this realm of Life, we need to equip ourselves with the necessary 'Ilm and Knowledge.

Each and every Muslim must learn about all these important aspects of the Teachings of Islam and put them to practice to safeguard oneself and one's family members from any harm!

Only by acquiring such levels of 'Ilm can we live as best and as safe as we can without ending up as those who go commit such acts of Khurafat and Shirk which will lead us to worse situations in the world here and in the Hereafter!

There's so many things to learn and discover from the Oceans of Knowledge and Mercy from the Hadiths and Sunnah of Our Blessed Messenger, Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam!

Go study the authentic legacy left to us by the Holy Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam. Protect yourself and your fellow mankind from the evil and mischief of those who are out to dupe you into Kuffur!

May Allah SWT guide us towards the Truth and protect us from our ignorance. Ameen.

Steven's Corner Pandan Indah - Surfer's Paradise

This is Manikam, one of the waiters of Steven's Corner, Pandan Indah, Selangor Darul Ehsan.

I discovered this excellent cafe recently when I went to have our car's tyre's serviced at the Siong Hin Tyre's Workshop just besides it.

Steven's Corner is offering Free Wi-Fi Broadband Wireless Internet Connection 24/7 for it's customers.

The restaurant is airy and equipped with stainless steel furnitures and offers Indian and Malaysian favorites cuisine.

Although it is owned by Indian Hindu owner's , this restaurant is visited by all Malaysians irrespective of race and religion.

They serve Vegetarian foods and all the local delicacies . What differentiates this restaurant is it's clean environment and breezy atmosphere value added by it's Free Wi-Fi Broadband Internet connection!

As you can see, it's customers are very happy to surf from morning till night and around the clock for free whilst enjoying their Teh Tarik, Tosai or Roti Canai at the usual prices whilst getting to surf for free in clean, amiable, excellent surroundings.

Parking is not a problem for the carpark lots are just all around the corner.

Steven's Corner was in the news for the wrong reasons @ the Corruption case of the former MPAJ Yang Di Pertua Abdul Kudus and the expose by one of Malaysia's outspoken politician's the PPP President and Deputy Minister Kayveas, ensuing a battle royale between the two and Steven's Corner owner who had to deal with the constant MPAJ 'enforcement officers' hassling the restaurant over the placement of their chairs around the place.

Things look calmer now as I can see for myself everytime I stop over for a Nescafe 'O' kurang gula @ since discovering I now have the condition labelled by one of my brother in laws as 'Sweet Urine'! :P

Another plus point is that I get to prospect for potential business associates here as many surf on their laptops. No more excuses of not having computers, eh?

One more thing and something that's so very important. Steven's Corner has the cleanest public toilets I have seen and been in as far as cafe's and restaurants are concerned here in Malaysia!

Check it out for yourself. Their fixtures are of the best quality stainless steel taps and they are even equipped with air fresheners which spray out every so often giving us the best experience as far as visiting the loo here in Malaysia is concerned! Two thumbs up to it's owner! Well done!

I recommend Steven's Corner for those who are staying around Pandan Indah and in the Cheras areas. Who knows? You might just meet your 'diamond's in networking business here.

Steven's Corner Pandan Indah - Surfer's Paradise. No doubts about that!

Apostasy, Hypocrisy, and 'Tidak Apa'thy.

Recently, the issue of Apostasy of 'Muslims' keeps cropping up in our nation and certainly draws the attention and discussion amongst the multi-ethnic, multi faithed citizens of this country.

Malaysian Muslims in general here are not as 'hyper-charged' and passionate about our Faith of Islam as our brethren in other Muslim majority nations.

Reason being is that the Malaysian Muslims consist of mainly the Malays who are very well known for their tolerance, gentle nature, easygoing and also a growing number with a 'couldn't care less attitude' except for a small minority who are all for a return to the basic fundamental observations and practice of the Religion revealed by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala for all mankind.

The smaller number of Muslims constituting the Indian Muslims of Malaysia are prone to be silent about such matters or simply do not have it in them to make any clear demonstrations about such a sensitive matter except when agitated or spurred into action by anyone in their midst who has the guts or backbone to raise the issue for public attention!

Chinese Muslims of Malaysia usually integrate into the Malay community and are the least attention seekers or 'rabble rouser's'.

The Malaysian Malay Muslims generally are being assailed by a wave of hedonistic culture of hero worshiping singers and artistes by the nation's mass media successfully distracting them from paying too much attention to matters concerning the political climate and governance of this nation by the ruling Barisan Nasional led by UMNO and it's coalition parties.

The majority of such Malays couldn't be bothered to waste their time and effort to help guide and save any of their brethren who fall into apostasy as a result of neglect and 'tidak apa'thy.

There are simply many folks out there today who wouldn't bat an eyelid if some teenager or adult go and do something that's clearly against the teachings of Islam and the general attitude would be to look the other way and mind their own business.

Gone are the days when people used to correct and tell off anyone who does something wrong no matter that the person is not their kith or kin.

Neighbors who live in apartments and condominiums in multi tiered housing estates seldom fraternize and exchange friendly greetings and get to know each other. The result is a society that doesn't give a damn anymore as to what happens or takes place in their neighborhood.

This gives birth to a growing sense of social apathy and also in turn gives way to corrosion of religious values and neglect which results in many of such neglected and left to their own individuals becoming apostates from the faith.

In this nation which hails itself as the role model for Islamic resurgence, the real deal is that there are many Muslims in this nation who are Muslims in name only. My saying so may infuriate some folks but let's face the facts. You know it and I know it.

We see such people with our own eyes just wasting away their life's pursuing hedonistic pleasures and worldly attractions with a ferocity that bewilders even Non Muslims. I see more focus and commitment from certain Non Muslims to their creed than I see certain Muslims bothering to safeguard and preserve their Aqeedah in Islam!

You can say that there is a certain number of Muslims who are sadly more concerned about how they look on the outside than what they really believe and uphold to their Iman in the inside!

Yet we also remember what the Holy Prophet Muhammad ibni Abdullah, Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam warned us about in his authentic hadith :

' Whomsoever amongst you resembles a certain people in his attire and mannerisms, then you are amongst them' meaning that if we follow a certain form of dressing, behaviour and attitudes of certain people, then truly we are associated with them.

There is a growing number of Muslims in this land today who ape certain destructive behaviors of unIslamic cultures without shame or regard to the extent that sometimes we are confused as to whether such people are Muslims or not based upon their uncouth behaviors and mannerisms.

Dying the hair is haram in Islam yet there are many Malays whom we know profess to be Muslims but dye their black or gone gray hairs blonde and try to look as Caucasians whereas they truly are as Oriental as God created them to be!

So many socalled 'dignitaries' and members of the Malaysian ruling 'elite' do this haram acts blatantly and they do so without any sense of regret right up to the Royal institutions of the Malay Sultanate and in the ruling Malaysian Cabinet!

Female Malay Ministers do not cover their aurat properly as Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, Our Supreme God Almighty commands them in the Al-Qur'an Al Kareem in Surah An Noor Verse 31.

Even Sultans, Prime Ministers past and present, Cabinet Ministers, so called 'Ulil Amri' fail to tell their wives to cover up properly when in public!

Mufti's are silent, deaf and dumb mutes when it concerns such VVIP's! They would rather make a brouhaha about petty things and issue decrees after decrees which doesn't touch on the sensitivities of the 'creme de la creme' of Malaysian 'high society' but would be 'trigger happy' to blast down people who try to make a living online as what recently transpired!

These are the 'hypocrites' in government who fail to take care, nurture and guide the Ummah as a whole and instead are more likened to be 'Ulamaks for Hire'!

As long as they get paid and are given all the trappings of office, they'd gladly plaster their eyes shut, plug in their earholes and stuff their mouths shut for fear of losing their positions as the Mufti's and 'Pegawai's' of the numerous Jabatan Agama Islam's sprouted up in every nook and corner of this nation!

Dakwah @ Islamic Information activities are delegated to just sporadic 'Forum Perdana's' which at times turn into a comedic affair with some trying to be funny 'Ustaz and Ustazah's cracking 'oneliners' to spark off waves of laughter from amongst the attending crowds of 'Makciks' and 'Pakciks' already in their 'golden years' awaiting the arrival of Malaikatul Maut @ The Angel of Death to fetch them.

I have yet to see any of the renowned Ulamaks of this nation from both the Government and the Opposition to carry out actual 'Dakwah Walkabout's' to go preach to the masses and help stop the rot that is taking place in this 'Islam Hadhari' nation.

Islam in Malaysia is not as it is depicted to be in all the OIC documentaries and mass media reports! Islam in Malaysia is only in name and the masses are being left to rot and neglected by those who swore to protect the Faith of Islam and uphold it's values and principles.

Too much hypocritical shows of bureaucracy and 'red tape' mar the actual implementations of the Quranic rules and regulations of this most complete and perfect faith from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

Just take for example the recent cases where a Hindu man was able to marry an Indian Muslim woman according to the Hindu rites and consequently had half a dozen children with her!

The reports say that the marriage wasn't registered with the authorities. Okay, I can buy that.
But what about the births and registrations of all those children?

How could those children have been registered when clearly the parents are clearly a Hindu and a Muslim respectively?

Which idiot at the Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara registered and approved such issuing of identities without realizing the gross error of the circumstances?

This official negligence repeated itself all these years without anyone taking steps to correct the mistakes!

Only now, do the fellows at the Jabatan Agama Islam come to take the woman away from her children and her husband no matter that the fellow is a Hindu and the woman just Muslim in name only!!!!

Governments are supposed to be responsible over their citizens and act as guardians over them. The recent spate of 'apostasy cases' highlight this Malaysian Government's gross failure to carry out their duties as have been trusted upon them!

The Jabatan Agama Islam of this nation has failed repeatedly to carry out their important duties.

The result is cases like these where everyone suffers. Too many Indian Muslims are living a life devoid of practice of the faith and they are not visited upon by the officers of the respective Islamic Religious Departments of all the States in Malaysia.

Many such 'Mamak's are Muslims in name only and thus are easily influenced and married by the Hindus. I don't blame the Hindus. I blame the Indian Muslim community and the Religious Departments for failing to take care of them.

Many of the Mamaks whom I meet and have dialogues with them in my capacity as a Da'ee always expose their naivety about the basic facts of Islam. Many do not pray their 'solat' and even if they do are clueless about the meanings of what they profess and the reasons why we need to pray?

The various Indian Muslims organizations do not carry out a systematic and continuous effort in teaching the Indian Muslims community as to what is Haqq and what is Batil?

They are prone to integrate themselves into the Malay political scene and some Mamak's also refuse to speak in Tamil nowadays as a reason of wanting to seem more Malay than the Malays!

Anyway, to me, race isn't that important although living here in Malaysia makes it impossible to deny the present racial divide and special preference to the Malays as the superior ethnicity in this land.

What I am lamenting here is the fact that each day, we keep hearing of such apostasy cases cropping up their ugly heads as a result of Hypocrisy and Tidak Apa'thy in Bolehland?

Who amongst the rulers of this land has the balls to do what's right and put a stop to all the rot taking place?

Does His Majesty, Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di Pertuan Agong, Supreme King of Malaysia have the 'real' authority to do something about the situation or are we left to rely on the Chief Executive Officer of the Government of Malaysia to correct the wrongs being done to our fellow Ummah of this land?

I, as a citizen of this land really hope either of them do something before it's too late for the Aqeedah of the Malaysian Muslims, Malays, Indians, Chinese, etcetera!

May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala give His Guidance and Strength to our leaders to save us all!

Ameen.

Mahathir's Futile Attempt in Damage Control

By now, the whole world knows that Tun Dr.Mahathir bin Mohamad, our former Premier is not satisfied with the way his appointed successor Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is ruling Malaysia.

The thing is , there's nothing much that Mahathir or anyone else can do about it. This is the reality.

Unless Abdullah Ahmad Badawi kicks the bucket tomorrow and dies, the country will still be under the present BN run Government of Malaysia.

We will then see Najib Tun Abdul Razak take over the helm of the BN and all the present apple polishers shouting 'Hidup Pak Lah!' will sing a new chorus of 'Hidup Pak Najib!'

Yeah, the trend now amongst the apple polishers in the Cabinet is to endear themselves to the one calling the shots in the BN Government. Hence, the coming title of 'Pak Najib'.

No matter what Mahathir says or exposes, not a nostril hair of Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is gonna get disturbed by anyone here in Malaysia!

The Malay Sultans will not interfere or say anything about whatever goes on in this nation because they no longer have the authority or power to overrule the Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia Incorporated as Their Majesties are only Constitutional Monarchs since Great Britain gave Independence to this nation on the 31st of August, 1957.

Yesterday, Tun Dr.Mahathir in his live webcast over KelantanTV and jointly sponsored by Malaysia Today, shared some historical facts that the Malay Sultans had in fact signed away their rights to rule over the Negeri-negeri Tanah Melayu to the British under the Sir Harold Macmichael's Malayan Union Administration on April 1st, 1946!

It's a historical fact that the Malay Sultans of yore had surrendered Malaya to the British Colonials back then and if not for the UMNO '46 Malays who realized that if they , the sons of the soil and their immigrant fellow citizens from China and India didn't fight for the restoration of the rights and independence of this country by forming UMNO, MCA and the MIC, and fight against the British Colonials , this country would still remain a British colony!

Today, this country is the only nation of Earth to have the most number of Kings @ Sultans ruling over the land albeit on a Constitutional Monarchy (taking turns on a 5 year rotation system).

They are quite fortunate to have been returned their rights to rule over the once surrendered Malay states of Perlis, Kedah, Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Johor by the stalwarts of those Malayan people in the form of UMNO '46 led by Dato Onn Jaafar and the founding fathers of the MCA and MIC after having been pressured by the British Masters of before!

Today, the country is being ruled by the Prime Minister of Malaysia and not by the Sultans.

It's a unique situation where even though Their Majesties are recognized and hailed as the King and Queen of this Federation of Malay States and of Sabah and Sarawak, the actual and absolute power lies in the hands of common citizens elected to hold the post of the Executive.

Commoners ruling de facto over Kings. Truly unique and unheard of elsewhere.

Anyway, back to the present scenario. There's nothing Mahathir and the rest of Malaysia's populace can do about the present leadership. Power once handed over and signed, sealed and delivered remains the absolute prerogative of the man they once claimed to be Mr.Clean.

No matter what the Opposition in Malaysia disclose, expose and trumpet about, the BN hegemony is too deeply entrenched, too powerfully established and all encompassing in the 'Kingdom of Malaysia' to be pushed over or toppled overnight!

Citizens of Malaysia are simply too apathetic to rise to the occasion and the people too self centred about their own individual needs and wants to bother rising up against the present 'Government'.

Malaysians simply do not have it in them to affect change!

You will never see hordes of lawyers protesting in the streets of this nation as what we see taking place over in Pakistan. You will never see the people gathering in the hundreds of thousands as what took place in Indonesia, the Philipphines, Thailand, India, Pakistan, Nepal or Bangladesh.

Malaysians simply don't give a damn!

Those who do are people like us Bloggers or those in the Opposition or NGO's.
Even then, is there really any chance for anything out of the ordinary to ever take place in this land overnight? I don't think so.

Mahathir has had his time. Abdullah Badawi now rules. Najib's just waiting in the wings.

Anwar can keep on dreaming. Nik Aziz still wants to rule over Kelantan.

Karpal Singh and Kit Siang will continue to make noise in Parliament whilst paving the way for their offsprings to establish their own individual dynasties in the DAP.

Keng Yaik and Samy Vellu will continue to spew diarrheas of their lips over anything they can come up with.

Koh Tsu Koon will just warm his seat and let things be or rot away as he has let Penang's Sungai Pinang and Jelutong seafront be!

Gerakan is in for a 'tidak apa' season. Mark my words! "Semua ok"! Smile and grin with two thumbs up while the party goes to waste!

Things will just take their place in the annals of Malaysian history.

The next GE will be quite interesting though for the current availability of the platform of the Internet is fast proving to be an effective medium to spread and share information, complete with proofs about all that takes place in this Bolehland by way of videos, audios and written texts.

Yet, do you think that Malaysians will rise to the occasion? No sirree! Don't you even dare to dream! They will never even stir ...not even if it hits them right square on their face!!!

The question is 'Do Malaysians bother to claim their rights for a fair and just government to rule over them?'

"Que sera sera..whatever will be ..will be..." so goes the popular classic song's lyrics.

The reality before us all today is that ' If it is to be ; it's up to you and me!'

Don't you agree? Let's just wait and see. Si Luncai terjun dengan labu nya!

'Biarkan...biarkan!

Uptrend Network's Marketing Plan

There are many out there who are now eager to invest in and start their own Uptrend Network marketing business after realizing that Uptrend has been doing a terrific job of providing an additional income for it's members free from any scam or scandal and a 100% legitimate in it's operations from both the laws and regulations of this country and Uptrend's member nations and also from the religious aspects of Islam.

It is just natural that ignorants and misguided folks spew untruths and ill will towards something that they themselves know nothing about what more when we take into consideration the background and past experiences of the mischief mongers?

Usually, those who speak bad about any businesses or issues are the ones who failed in their attempts to make a living out of similar enterprises.

It is a fact that losers will always try to validate their claims and assertions that this and that is a scam, that fellow is like this and this fellow is like that! Don't you agree with me?

There are many businesses out there today where the successful ones are usually those who stayed the course, built up their businesses, acquired the correct skills and know how's of their businesses and put them to practice!

Then, we also see those who put half hearted efforts into their businesses and ended up in the 'doldrums' of their attempts. They might have recouped their initial business capital and investments but then ran out of 'steam' and enthusiasm.

Next, we have the 'failures' and the losers who threw in the towel after failing to get into gear and do what they needed to do in the first place which is to adopt and adapt their respective businesses Marketing Plans.

These are the ones who usually make a scene and cry foul when in reality they are the ones who failed to follow their respective business systems.

The one who crashes a vehicle into anything for sheer reason of not knowing how to handle the automobile shouldn't be crying out loud that the vehicle is lousy and useless!

Same thing goes for those who screwed up their business attempts out of sheer stupidity and unwilling to follow their company's Marketing Plans.

"If one wants to look for faults in anything, I can guarantee you that one can and will find a thousand and one faults with whatever ; but if one was to look for plus points in anything, those plus points would shine forth like a bright star enlightening one with whatever one was looking for in the first place!"

Tun Dr.Mahathir Live Telecast Today at 2.30pm

Well folks, our Former Premier Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad , who finds it hard to get main media attention nowadays because of his caustic verbal attacks against the Abdullah Badawi administration, is going to be getting his chance to be broadcasted live from the Grand River View Hotel, in Kota Bharu, Kelantan today at 2.30pm!

Log in to Malaysia Today at 2.30pm today, Sunday, the 6th of May, 2007.

Ironic, isn't it? The man who ruled over us for 22 long years and known as Mahafir'aun by his nemesis in the Opposition especially by PAS @ Islamic Party of Malaysia now finds his platform of 'Freedom to Speak' in the only PAS ruled State of Kelantan!

Abdullah Badawi's Mr.Clean image before this is now absolutely tarnished and corroded beyond repair attested by the way the Machap and Ijok by elections were ruthlessly marred by displays of state organised gangsterism and blatant vote buying as exposed in the internet!

Tun Dr.Mahathir is now tasting the consequences of his appointing the wrong man to succeed him as this nation's Premier. The thing is , can we blame him for his screw up back in 2003?

Who else do we see having the mettle of being a viable candidate to take over from him? None!

I for one do not see any one today capable of running the show both from the BN or the BA!

Each and every politician seems to have his or her hand in the cookie jar so to speak.

Nik Aziz though being the Spiritual Advisor of the PAS party and already in his 80s still wants to clamp tight onto his hold of the Menteri Besar of Kelantan's Seat of Power!

So do we see, all other dinosaurs in the ruling cabinet of the Barisan Nasional monopoly of the Government of Malaysia.

Malaysians have been returning the BN to power each and every time we have the General Elections since this country achieved Independence from the British Colonial Masters.

So, can we blame the BN for ruling as they please and getting complacent with abusing their hold of power over this nation of 'yes' men and women?

All the talk of overcoming the BN ends up as 'murmurs in the wind' when either by hook or crook, the BN keeps thrashing the lame challenge of the Opposition parties year after year by their overbearing approach to quell any dissent from the masses!

The Opposition with their ever present suspicion of each other and disunity over matters concerning ethnic and religious differences fall apart and always end up short at each by election and in the past GE's.

So is the present state of affairs concerning the political brouhaha in this nation that DR.M ruled over for 22 long years and is today relegated to depending on internet based media platforms which he used to pooh pooh away during his time in power.

If you are online two hours from now, log on to Malaysia Today at 2.30 pm and see what Mahathir has to say this time around.

Raja Petra Kamaruddin sms'd me last night asking me to spread the word about this event , so here am I fulfilling my promise to him.

Spread the word around and let the world tune in to Mahathir speaking his mind direct to us live from the webtv's. At least, the people will be able to hear and watch what 'Mr.In Your Face' has to say!

One thing you have to acknowledge Dr.M is his capacity to speak his mind straightforward and not mumble and fumble as the present PM does every so often!

Enjoy watching the 'fundamentalist' ex PM do his thing! Beats the boring Sunday TV Fare!

Islam Hadhari ridicules the Hudud Laws of Allah SWT

Watch for yourself Dr.Mashitah Ibrahim mock the Hudud Laws of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala !

Isn't it ironic for those propagating a return to Islamic values short change the Ummah by asking them to set aside the Laws of God and instead play footsie with ineffective man made laws.

Just look at the way serious crime is escalating here in our nation and throughout the world. Criminals are getting away with murder and everyday, the newspapers are full of all kinds of stories about so many crimes taking place practically in every nook and cranny of this land!

The Laws of Allah SWT are not to be taken lightly and ridiculed by idiots in 'alim' clothing!
Sure, they can fool the people now whilst being alive and in 'power' on Earth but when Saiyidina Izra'il Alaihis Salam @ The Angel of Death comes a calling, all the worldly trappings and authority will cease to exist and the wretched soul will taste it's dues.

Muslims of Malaysia, be aware of those who mislead in the name of 'Islam Hadhari'.

Stick to the Al Qur'an Al Kareem from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and Hadiths of Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam. Insya Allah, we will be alright. Ameen.

Drinking Coffee can ward off Diabetes

[Reuters]
NEW YORK - Drinking coffee can help ward off type 2 diabetes and may even help prevent certain cancers, according to panelists discussing the benefits -- and risks -- of the beverage at a scientific meeting.

"We're coming from a situation where coffee had a very negative health image," Dr. Rob van Dam of the Harvard School of Public Health, who has conducted studies on coffee consumption and diabetes, told Reuters Health.

Nevertheless, he added, "it's not like we're promoting coffee as the new health food and asking people who don't like coffee to drink coffee for their health."

Van Dam participated in a "controversy session" on coffee at the Experimental Biology 2007 meeting underway in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Lenore Arab of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA also took part, presenting results of a review of nearly 400 studies investigating coffee consumption and cancer risk.

There's evidence, Arab noted, that the beverage may protect against certain types of colon cancer, as well as rectal and liver cancer, possibly by reducing the amount of cholesterol, bile acid and natural sterol secretion in the colon, speeding up the passage of stool through the colon (and thus cutting exposure of the lining of the intestine to potential carcinogens in food), and via other mechanisms as well.

However, Arab did find evidence that coffee may increase the risk of leukemia and stomach cancer, with the case for leukemia being strongest.

The findings suggest that people who may be vulnerable to these risks -- for example pregnant women and children should limit coffee consumption, van Dam noted in an interview.

He and his colleagues are now conducting a clinical trial to get a clearer picture of the diabetes preventing effects of coffee, which were first reported in 2002.

Since then, he noted, there have been more than 20 studies on the topic.

Van Dam and his team are also looking for which of the "hundreds to thousands" of components of coffee might be responsible for these effects.

It's probably not caffeine, he noted, given that decaf and caffeinated coffee have similar effects on reducing diabetes risk.

His top candidate, van Dam says, is chlorogenic acid, an antioxidant that slows the absorption of glucose in the intestines.

Phang Oo Lang's Kepala Batas Diabetes Treatment Centre

I received a call from my family in Penang last Saturday saying that one of my three elder sisters was seriously sick with complications from a diabetes condition and being treated at Kepala Batas, Penang.

Me and my missus made a trip up to Penang to visit my sister.
We departed from KL at 3.30pm and reached Penang by 7.30pm.

We headed straight to my niece's place at Telok Kumbar and spent the night there.

Being back home in Penang felt great but also sad at the same time because we were back in Penang due to my sister's suffering from diabetes complications and not for a holiday.

We had no choice but to wait till the next morning to go back to the mainland and on to Kepala Batas where she was being treated.

We reached the Phang Oo Lang Treatment Centre about 11am. The Chinese Herbal Treatment centre at Kepala Batas is well established with a very high success rate of treating various diseases and complications.

The doctors at the Penang General Hospital were ready to amputate my sister's diabetic foot but my other family members decided otherwise and had her discharged from the hospital and brought her over to Phang Oo Lang's Treatment Centre!

I felt extremely sad to see my sister lying there looking so sick and half the bubbly dynamic person I remember her to be. I stifled my tears and avoided adding to her troubles with my emotional turmoil seeing her like that.

Upon hearing my voice, my sister opened up her eyes and her joy at seeing me and my missus was clearly seen in her eyes. We then consoled her and spent time with her. I massaged my sister's other foot and her hands with Tiger Balm and she was happy to have us visiting her. Other members of our family were there as well and we all kept her company.

She was being warded together with several other female patients. There were Malays, Chinese, Indians all suffering from various complications and the majority of them were suffering from severe diabetic foot sores and gangrene. They had their foot bandaged and most were lying in bed.

One elderly Chinese lady was wailing pitifully due to the pain from her gangrenous foot. It was really awful to hear her cry out like that.

I learned that she was being treated there for over a year now and she has never slept on her bed but just been sitting in her wheelchair all along! Her family has their Indonesian maid taking care of her all these while and the maid was simply 'bushed'! Dead tired of constantly attending to the wailing lady. Really sad to see such a scene.

The medical attendants then came to change the dressings of the patients and we all had to leave the ward during the period.

There was a rest area outside the wards and I spoke to a diabetic patient named Hasmadi Nordin. He was just 36 and hailed from Perlis. Hasmadi had 3 of his left toes removed at the GH due to gangrene.

He had admitted himself to Phang Oo Lang's Treatment Centre several months back to escape amputation of his limbs by the GH doctors and he had made the right choice!

His gangrenous foot has now fully recovered and I have taken photos of his healed right foot and he was having his left foot treated now. Hasmadi expressed his gratitude to God for the progress he was making at Phang Oo Lang's Treatment Centre.

Being there at the Phang Oo Lang Treatment Centre prompted me and my missus to have ourselves checked for any complications.

Imagine my shock to discover that I was having a very high blood sugar level of 18.8 after undergoing the medical check up! I was further bewildered to learn that my urine sugar level was 300!

The Physician told me that normal blood sugar level is 5. No wonder I wasnt really feeling up to mark lately. It's now proven that I am a diabetic myself and at a very serious stage.

Thank Allah that I have found it out now and not suffer from complications later due to ignorance. I have read about tell tale signs and symptoms of the diabetes disease but had been in denial so long. I have seen ants at my toilet bowl lid but it still didn't hit me then. Now I know better.

The Physician prescribed me a month's supply of herbal treatment where I have to take 3 capsules after meals in the morning and again at night. Costs me RM105.00.

My spouse was cleared of suffering from diabetes and her blood sugar level was only 4.3. Alhamdulillah. She was however suffering from 'wind' in the system and was also prescribed herbal treatment. Her medication costs RM100.00 for a month.

Alhamdulillah, our trip up to visit my sister had an added advantage in us getting to realise our present health conditions and now getting the appropriate treatments.

May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala grant us good health and bless Sinseh Phang Oo Lang for providing us such beneficial treatments and helping hundreds of thousands of suffering people irrespective of race or religion. Ameen.

Those of you who are suffering from any health conditions and do not want to have your limbs amputated at the whims of the doctors in the hospitals, by all means , do check out the Phang Oo Lang Herbal Treatment Centre at Kepala Batas, Penang.

I have posted the details of his centre here for you to note it down. Nothing will change in our life's if we do nothing to help ourselves.

I fully recommend this Phang Oo Lang Treatment Centre. The charges are reasonable and affordable.

I am optimistic that my sister will fully recover from her condition and I will be able to control my diabetes condition as well as help my missus to be better. Insya Allah.

Go seek treatment there before it's too late! Can you afford to lose your limbs? Think!

Here's some guidelines from the Mayo Clinic for Diabetics :

Diabetes care: 10 ways to avoid complications

You've got to take the initiative when it comes to your diabetes care. From monitoring your blood sugar to checking your feet every day, taking an active role in your diabetes care can help prevent or at least minimize diabetes complications.

Here are 10 ways to take an active role in your diabetes care and enjoy a healthier future:

1. Have a general physical each year

Beyond your regular checkups to monitor your diabetes treatment, have a physical examination once a year. Because your doctor knows you have diabetes, he or she will look for emerging problems caused by the disease, such as eye, kidney and heart disease.

2. Get a yearly eye exam

Going to an eye specialist — an ophthalmologist or an optometrist — annually will help detect diabetes-related vision problems and catch them early, when they're treatable. If you have poorly controlled diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney disease or elevated cholesterol, you may need to see your eye specialist more than once a year.

3. See your dentist twice a year

High blood sugar impairs your immune system, limiting your ability to fight off bacteria and viruses that cause infection. Because your mouth is loaded with bacteria, your gums provide a common site of infection.

4. Keep your vaccinations up-to-date

Staying up-to-date on vital vaccinations can help you avoid serious diabetes complications. This includes getting:

* An annual flu shot.

No matter what your age, if you have diabetes you're more likely to get the flu (influenza) than are people who don't have diabetes. Because you have diabetes, you're also more likely to develop serious complications from flu, including diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) and hyperosmolar syndrome.

* Pneumonia vaccine.

Most doctors recommend that people with diabetes receive a one-time pneumonia vaccination. If you have complications from your diabetes, such as kidney or heart disease, or you're 65 years of age or older, you may need a five-year booster shot.

* Other vaccinations.

Stay up-to-date with your tetanus shot and its 10-year boosters. Ask your doctor about getting vaccinated against hepatitis B if you haven't already received the vaccine.

5. Take care of your feet

Diabetes is potentially dangerous to your feet in two ways:

* Diabetes can damage the network of nerves in your feet (neuropathy), reducing the sensation of pain. This means you can develop a sore or blister without realizing it.

* Diabetes can narrow or block off your arteries (atherosclerosis), reducing blood flow to your feet. With less blood to nourish the tissues in your feet, it's harder for sores to heal. An unnoticed cut or sore hidden beneath your shoes and socks can quickly develop into a larger problem.

6. Don't smoke

People with diabetes who smoke are more likely to die of heart disease, stroke and other diseases than are nonsmokers with diabetes.

This is because:

* Smoking narrows your arteries, reducing blood flow to your legs. Narrowed arteries increase your risk of heart attack and stroke, and also make it more difficult for wounds to heal.

* Smoking increases your risk of nerve damage and kidney disease.

* Smoking further impairs your immune system, making you more susceptible to colds and respiratory infections.

7. Take a daily aspirin

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) recommends that most people with diabetes take an aspirin every day because daily aspirin use can reduce your risk of heart attack.

The recommended dose is anywhere from 81 milligrams (mg) a day, the amount found in a baby aspirin, to 325 mg a day, the amount found in an adult tablet.

Taking more than this doesn't increase its benefits. Talk with your doctor to make sure aspirin is safe for you and, if it is, to find out which strength aspirin you should take.

8. Monitor your blood pressure

Like diabetes, high blood pressure can damage your blood vessels. When these two conditions team up, they can lead to a heart attack, stroke or other life-threatening conditions.

For adults with or without diabetes, the healthiest blood pressure is below 120/80 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg).

If you have high blood pressure and diabetes, the ADA recommends that you get treatment aimed at keeping your blood pressure no higher than 130/80 mm Hg.

The same healthy habits that can improve blood sugar — a balanced diet and regular exercise — can also help reduce blood pressure.

Reducing salt (sodium) in your diet and controlling how much alcohol you consume are important as well.

9. Monitor your blood sugar

Managing your blood sugar is the most important thing you can do to feel your best and prevent long-term complications of diabetes.

By monitoring your blood sugar and keeping it within your target range, you'll reduce such risks as eye, kidney, blood vessel and nerve damage.

10. Manage your stress

Stress can increase your body's production of those hormones that block the effect of insulin, causing your blood sugar to rise.

If you're under a lot of stress, you'll have a hard time taking care of yourself and managing your diabetes.

You may not take the time to eat right, monitor your blood sugar, exercise or take your medication as prescribed. And prolonged stress can lead to depression. It all adds up.

It's true that members of your diabetes care team — doctor, diabetes nurse educator and dietitian, for example — will encourage and help you to live healthy with diabetes.

But make sure you take good care of yourself to prevent and minimize diabetes complications. After all, no one has a greater stake in your health than you.
