Part of the Do'a Iftitah

"Verily my solats, my ibadah, my life and my death I surrender to Almighty Allah, Creator and Lord of all the worlds. Never will I associate anything with Him. So am I commanded and I am of those who are Muslims."

Surah An Nahl (Chapter 16 Verse 125) Holy Al Quran Al Kareem.

HINDRAF should work with MIC to solve their problems.

MEDIA STATEMENT
29-11-2007

RE: HINDRAF LAWYER V.GANABATIRAU TO CONTINUE STRUGGLE
________________________________________________________

Mr.V.Ganabatirau who was arrested detained and locked up and later released at about 4.00p.m has vowed to continue his legal and peaceful struggle against the racist, malaysupremacist and Islamic extremist UMNO led Malaysian government’s 50 years of marginalisation and permanent colonialisation of the mere 8% politically, socially and economically suppressed, oppressed and marginalised for 50 years ethnic minority Indians in Malaysia.

Thank you,
Yours Faithfully,

P.Uthayakumar
Legal Adviser

***********************************************************************************

It is headlines and statements like these which are creating an uneasy feeling between the majority of the Malaysian public especially amongst the Malay Muslim majority, the Barisan Nasional Coalition Government of Malaysia and HINDRAF which continues to fan or stoke the embers of racial and religious strife within our nation.

Where is these kind of inflammatory talk leading to? Do we need to see more blood being spilt or this time around, life's lost?

No doubt, we all acknowledge that what HINDRAF is asking for is reasonable in certain areas but to blatantly keep on publishing and posting inflammatory statements and headlines such as above is
surely a worrying sign that HINDRAF is not seeking a diplomatical end to their cause but a purely confrontational approach against the UMNO led, MCA , MIC and other political parties coalition
Government of Malaysia!

Is this wise on the part of their leaders especially learned lawyers who spearhead the abrasive modus operandi adopted by the Hindu Rights Action Force?

Is negotiations and non violent, non confrontational meetings with the BN government out of the question for HINDRAF?

Has Samy Vellu refused to entertain or meet the HINDRAF leaders?

I read today's statements by the Malaysian Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan stating
that he had offered alternative venues such as stadiums, civic halls, etc to the organizers of the rally but they refused on the grounds that they wanted onlookers to join them in the march to the British high Commissioner at Jalan Ampang on the 25th of November, 2007 which ended in tragedy where some HINDRAF supporters and the Malaysian police officers got seriously injured in the skirmishes.

The Malaysian Indians in HINDRAF really need to have a pow wow with the Malaysian Indian Congress and come to a solution that is acceptable to all.

Since the MIC is a senior member of the BN coalition Government, surely they can use their position in the Malaysian Cabinet to see to it that the grouses of the Malaysian Indian grassroots are attended to promptly.

From the way HINDRAF is complaining that the BN Government has failed to take care of their community since the last 50 years , we need to look into what the MIC has not done for them since Independence?

The MIC has been a major partner of the BN Government since day 1 of the coalition government coming into being!

Instead of HINDRAF taking to the streets with its supporters now, wouldn't it be more fitting for HINDRAF to rally its supporters and go see Samy Vellu and the Malaysian Indian Congress for failing to distribute the allocations and budgets shared by the BN Government amongst its members?

Don't tell us that all these years, the MIC has been withholding funds and allocations that surely Samy Vellu and his MIC party must have received for being part of the Malaysian Government?

If the MIC is an Opposition party such as PAS, the DAP or PKR, we can understand that certain funds and allocations for projects in their constituencies would have a funny way of not reaching the coffers or accounts of the Opposition MP's for the projects to be started or launched!

This has been the modus operandi of the BN since they started ruling Malaysia. Ask the Opposition MP's and State Assemblymen or women?

Yet in this case, we see the Malaysian Indians in HINDRAF sort of missing the forest for the trees and chasing after the BN Government especially UMNO and putting on the blinkers on their members and supporters to go on the warpath of confrontational approaches with such inciting battlecries of 'racist Malay supremacists and Islamic terrorists'?

This is seriously unfair and ungrounded for HINDRAF to behave in such a way!

As a Muslim, I have yet to hear of a concerted effort of UMNO's part in victimizing the Malaysian Indians what more of their fellow partner in the Barisan Nasional's senior main ally in the MIC?

How can HINDRAF say that?

If it is true that the Indians have been so marginalized and oppressed in all areas especially in religious matters by the 'Malay racist, supremacist, Islamist terrorist UMNO led BN Government, would they have allowed that tallest Murugan statue in the world in Batu Caves to be built?

Take a tour of our nation's religious establishments through all states. Don't tell me that you won't find Hindu temples all over the country?

I mean, let's be fair. HINDRAF is not being realistic here. They should be liaising with the MIC on all their grouses for the MIC is part of the BN government and whatever that HINDRAF is not happy about with the BN, should be discussed and demanded settlements and solutions by working with the MIC instead of resorting to confrontations with the authorities.

What is the MIC for?

Aren't they the ones who are supposed to be the main government channel for Malaysian Indians to seek and get whatever they want for their community?

Do we not have avenues for finding peaceful solutions to HINDRAF's demands?

I worry that if HINDRAF keeps going this way, we will only see a worse nightmare unfold right before our very eyes here for all Malaysians in the near future.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department for National Unity, Datuk Dr. Maximus James Ongkili, says that HINDRAF has never made attempts to meet the National Unity Advisory Panel to seek solutions over their grouses.

So, HINDRAF, please realize that there are still many avenues for you to seek solutions for your problems.

Try to seek peaceful means to solve your woes, instead of using Gandhi's poster as your chosen symbol but come not an inch to the way and manner by which Gandhi strove for his cause to free India from the British Raj.

You are not anywhere being colonial subjects as were the Indians in India during the British colonial rule there.

You are learned individuals who can go about achieving your goals and aspirations the cultured way instead of having to face the FRU on the streets.

You have studied and graduated as lawyers, become professionals and reached a milestone that oppressed people would never have achieved if you are truly being marginalized by UMNO as you are accusing them of?

I am speaking as a fellow Malaysian Muslim and just being rational here discussing the issue as a Malaysian Blogger. Do not misinterpret that Mahaguru58 has turned UMNO spokesman! :P

Instead of rallying the masses to fight the government, HINDRAF's leaders would do better to rally the Indians to be more self-sufficient and improve their lot in areas of education, small businesses, enterprises and other meaningful pursuits.

Demand for such opportunities from the MIC which in turn will demand it from the Malaysian Cabinet. If you want it, you surely can find ways and avenues to get it.

Surely that is a more suitable way to improve the living conditions for the Indians and other communities here in our nation instead of having to go get teargassed and acid laced baths in the streets of our nation's capital?

I ask that Malaysians from all walks of life use the ballot box if you aren't happy with the government. This is the best way to obtain political power and attain what you wish for?

Anyway, I can only write here what I see as right and hope that things will improve for our nation from now on. If you want to know more, head on over to Malaysiakini for the latest updates.

I am sure that the general Malaysian Indian community are open to seeking solutions to their needs through dialogs and other peaceful means.

Let the MIC do their jobs right and work to solve your problems for you instead of forcing yourselves to resort to street protests to find a way out of your current predicaments.

May commonsense and goodwill prevail over all Malaysians especially in the hearts and minds of our fellow Malaysians in HINDRAF and in the MIC.

It's gardening time for a 50 year old tree called Malaysia

I have seen blood being spilled on our nation's streets and Malaysians getting teargassed and blasted with acid laced water cannons.

All these latest developments doesn't come across as being good for our country and Malaysians in general.

Yet, if we are to become a better nation, a fair place to live and raise our children and future generations, we need to look into why the people have taken to the streets and put themselves in harm's way?

Surely, there must be valid reasons why the Malaysians are starting to get frustrated more and more by each passing day.

We can't wish them away, can we?

Our country is experiencing an upheaval in the grassroots. If likened to a 50 year old tree, the roots are surely spread out by now and should further entrench the tree to grow sturdier and the primary roots probe deeper and deeper into mother earth, strengthening the whole foundation.

Yet today, the Malaysian tree is undergoing convulsions in the soil. The grassroots aren't that happy about the nutrients which are not being distributed equally from the main trunk to the roots and some roots are getting more nutrient feeds while the fine roots are shriveling at the far ends.

This situation is seeing them drying up and thus they are retaliating by causing the roots to buck up and demand more juice to come their way.

Problem is, the secondary roots that are supposed to pass on some of the juices are busy engorging themselves at the expense of the grassroots. Hence, the main tree of Malaysia is experiencing decay at the deepest ends of it's existence.

In case the Chief Gardener fails to fertilize and spray on the much needed nutrient containing juices fairly all around, the 50 year old mighty tree of Malaysia has a danger of toppling over at the slightest storm that may blow its way.

The secondary roots which I state here represents the MCA and the MIC. Failure of such secondary roots to suck and distribute equally the nutrients provided for by the main trunk budget which represents UMNO might see the eventual decay of the grassroots which if left to dry up will see the whole tree shrivel bit by bit till it dries up and dies.

Can we afford to see such a situation befall our main tree of Malaysia? No way, right?

So, Mr.Chief Gardener @ PM Abdullah Badawi, its high time to do your gardening chores. Enough relaxing on the hammock under the shade of the tree. Time to go see to it that the secondary roots are equally treated and taken care of failing which there is a considerable chance of the tree getting a new gardener.

In the meantime, the team of gardeners need to also weed the garden and remove all the lallangs sprouting here and there without fail. You need to trim the hedges and pluck out the parasite weeds from the whole garden.

Failure to do so will see the tree dry up and we might see a new state of existence when creepers climb up the mighty Malaysian tree and eventually the tree will be no more, replaced by a foreign creeper that would slowly but surely take over the entire garden and leave the tree a distant memory.

Try ponder as to what I mean by that?

News about this development of the Malaysian garden is spread far and wide by a bird called Malaysiakini which never seems to tire fluttering about here and there cuckooing to other species that are concerned with the state of affairs regarding this tree.

In the long run, all that the grassroots want is to have the Chief Gardener take care of all the tree's foundation in a fair manner and not just focus on carving his initials into the main tree trunk as a reminder that 'hey PM Abdullah Badawi was here' and leave his memento there for all eternity.

We need to see a thriving growing tree called Malaysia growing high and mighty amongst the forest of existence that we call the planet Earth and the abode of a species called Mankind.

Nothing but diligent care and sincere loving nurturing of all sections of the tree amidst the garden can help save it in the long run. Failure to do so will see the garden become a jungle.

Zorro Impersonator has pulled a fast one on me!

To Bernard Khoo a.k.a. Zorro,

My sincere apologies bro.

I have become a victim of an impersonator who has posted a comment here in my blog using your id @ zorro .

I know you personally and was pleasantly surprised to see 'your comment' appear in my comment moderation inbox and also in my Gmail account as I subscribe to their comment notification system as well.

I have always respected you dear Bernard as a fellow blogger and your being amongst the All Blogs senior members.

I had posted 'your comment' as a whole new article and done so as a matter of respect to you.

I have never had to use anyone as my mouthpiece and that posting was done as a gesture of camaraderie, on the spur of the moment.

When I returned home after dinner and saw your email asking me to delete that posting and your denial of being the author of that comment, I immediately deleted the posting and did a background check on the 'zorro' profile.

Imagine my dismay to see a blank profile and realized my being had by that idiot!

My sincere apologies to you Brother Bernard Khoo and to all your readers for the terrible mistake that this impersonator of yours had caused me to make.

This is the reason why, I am now going to strictly vet and double check any comments from now on coming my way and delete anonymous comments or by those who have nothing but a blank profile to show as to who they are or claim to be.

I also would like to tender a sincere apology to Malaysiakini for unwittingly causing them to be a fellow victim of this 'zorro' impersonator.

To the impersonator using the 'zorro' id, I ask that you stop doing this nonsense.

Bloggers like us here in Malaysia are doing our fellow Malaysians a selfless service in disseminating information that the mainstream media does not show or highlight like the BN Assemblyman assaulting the PAS Assemblyman at the Kelantan State Assembly as I have shared here in my blog.

By your masquerading as 'zorro', you have inadvertently caused us unnecessary harm and mischief by raising doubts about our integrity.

Be aware that each and every deed that we do is being recorded by the Malaikats Raqib and Atid and what you have done is very wrong.

I pray that you will receive your rightful retribution soon.

Bernard! Sorry once again.

I produce herewith the profile which the impersonator has used .

Ketuanan Melayu and other issues. A Response to tiching99.

I am responding to a very interesting heartfelt comment from a Malaysian Chinese, currently working and living in the United Kingdom, who wrote to me expressing his distress and dismay after reading my earlier post where I state that the concept of Ketuanan Melayu here in Malaysia is a thing to be accepted and submitted to by each and every citizen.

I can understand his worries and even fears of Mahaguru58 being a bloody racist which I am truly and surely not.

Read my replies to him and also learn as to why I said so in the first place.

************************************************************************************

Dear tiching99,

First and foremost, I would like to thank you for putting across your comments in a manner that speaks volumes about the kind of person that you are.

It is this kind of comments and discussion that I so love and welcome even if it is a comment that does not agree with the way I have wrote my viewpoints here with regard to the state of affairs concerning the realities of the unspoken Malaysian social contract or accepted 'way of life' of this land.

I would be lying if I just wrote rosy pictures of how things really are in the 'Kingdom of Malaysia', wouldn't I?

Now, would you be pleased and satisfied if i had written that Malaysia is a land where meritocracy is practiced by the day in every aspect of our life?

Would you be satisfied if I had said that any Malaysian regardless of creed or color can become the Malaysian Prime Minister?

I would be a liar and a fool , right?

So dear tiching99, please understand my points and realize that no matter how beautiful the scenario would be for those like you if such a thing ever happens, the harsh reality is that as long as the sun rises from the east and sets in the west, things here in Malaysia are going to be the same as long as UMNO calls the shots and the other members of the BN Coalition parties concur and submit to this agreement, failing which, God forbid, Malaysia will come apart at the seams.

Reality sir..reality!

Not wishing to be a source of bad news to you but just stating the facts of life here as it is and as I assume, will always be.

No one is labeling you as anything for working in UK. I'd do the same if I could. Make hay while the sun shines, they say.

Malaysia is our home sir despite the occasional hiccups that take place within our lives.

It ain't Paradise but sure beats living in any other strife torn war zone, doesn't it?

All these disparities dissipate into thin air when one has attained a considerable income through one's own enterprise and when one is rich and wealthy, all these nitty gritty day to day struggle for existence becomes a distant memory for many, especially the rich and wealthy Non Muslim Malaysians.

You think Michelle Yeoh worries as to where her next meal is going to come from?

You think Ananda Krishnan loses a wink of sleep worrying about HINDRAF, etcetera?

Hell no!

It's all up to us, each and every Malaysian to go strive and earn our keep.

As for those who use the race and religious card to make their money, well..they will have to answer to Our Maker later when they face Him on Judgment Day.

You talk about eliminating 'Ketuanan Melayu’. Easier said than done sir.

Not one ethnicity here on Earth will ever do such a thing. Pure fallacy!

Removing their ownership and control of power in government? Not even in liberal countries such as Sweden, Denmark or any other European country!

You might quote one or two examples of how some individuals from Asia have made it in some big corporations in the West or how some Chinese or Indians have been elected as the Mayor of a county or Governor of a state in the United States of America or in England, etc.

That doesn‘t mean that he or she will make it to the office of the President of the United States of America or even as British Prime Minister. Mark my words. Not in a million years.

People will always remain as they are. Deep down in everyone’s hearts, racial discrimination thrives albeit secretly. Outwardly, they might come across as being nice and diplomatic but when push comes to shove, their true colors will erupt and avail themselves to the whole, wide world.

People are naturally inclined to trust their own race and own faith. Yet we also have come across many beautiful examples of human beings who love just about everybody, animals, insects and plants that they come across as living angels with not a morsel of evil in their selfs save for delusions as to who is their true God that they must submit to and worship?

Basically, each and every human being will naturally prefer to favor their own kind, won't they?

Facing up to such realities is what makes one wiser by the day and not beguile ourselves to a life full of fantasy.

I would like to draw attention to your statements regarding how dismayed you are that I too seem fixated on the concept of the Malays being superior to other races in Malaysia based on the ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ principle.

All this time, I have been aware that a percentage of Malays are fervent supporters of Ketuanan Melayu, but I always assumed that they would be uneducated or poor and were merely misinformed about the alleged "threat" to the Malays. However, to read that you, a seemingly educated and progressive Malay, are of the opinion that I will never be your equal, is extremely depressing.

You are a bit mistaken there dear tiching99.

I am not a racist. I am a Muslim. Being a racist would mean that one is so fixated on one’s origins and one’s preference to put one’s own race before any other in each and every aspect of one’s life.

I am not in any way a true blue racist sir. I am a Caller to Islam. In Islam, there is no race based, ethnic oriented way of thinking and if you would care to read up on the Last Sermon of the Final Messenger of God, Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam reiterating the equality of us the Children of Adam before God except for the matter of Faith in God and one’s own deeds and misdeeds, there is not an iota of discriminating anyone based on the color of one’s skin or the origins of one’s lineage.

I do not even differentiate between any person except for learning as to whom to befriend and worth getting to know better and staying away from those whose hearts and soul are blackened by extreme hatred and animosity based purely on the difference of race and creed.

My insurance agent for so many years is my friend Ramakrishna from AIG’S ALL CARE AGENCY, a devout Hindu. I still give him my business because we both worked in AIG before and also because he is my friend. The man is as Hindu as he can be but still, I have never shied away from acknowledging him to be my friend and have kept him as my agent even when there are hundreds of thousands of Takaful Insurance agents around!

Hell, if I wanted to, I could just pass on over my business to MENJ’s dad, a Takaful agent. MENJ and I are quite close as he is the Secretary General of the Muslim Bloggers Alliance of which I am the founding Protem Committee President.

I am no racist sir. Just stating the facts of life here in Malaysia as it is.

If there’s any discrimination going on in my life, it would be in staying away from misled folks who do not know how to differentiate between right and wrong, fact and fantasy, realities and illusions or assumptions, in which category you clearly do not fall into and should not worry too much about.

I am honored to get this comment from you which reaffirms my belief that there are many Malaysians out there who are still good enough to befriend and discuss these issues in a manner befitting our existence as true blue Malaysians, where some of the nicest people I have come to know belong to.

A comment of yours that needs to be responded to is in this paragraph as shown below:

It is encouraging that you are a fervent champion of the democratic process. However, if a democratic change in government resulted in the abolishing of Ketuanan Melayu, would you accept it as the will of the people? Would your brothers and sisters? Would the 14-million odd Malays? Distressingly, your article has led me to believe otherwise.

I for one sir have no problems in accepting anyone as my fellow brother and sister in Islam as long as they believe in God as I do and observe all the principles of faith and do good deeds.

Having said that, I still regard each and every human being as my brother and sister in the Brotherhood and Sisterhood of Mankind as we are all the Children of Adam and Eve.

The only difference is the matter of Faith and Religious Practices.

Although I accept that each human being is a brother or sister to me, the glaring difference in religion remains a barrier that dissipates into thin air once he or she testifies that ‘There is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the final messenger of God’. Period.

I am a Program Consultant for the Shanghai Jiao Tong University - Global Hanyu & Culture Center here in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia sir.

If I am as you fear a racist championing 'Ketuanan Melayu' to the letter as you imply, would I be promoting the learning of Putonghua Hanyu Mandarin, the standard language of billions of Chinese from mainland China in the first place?

No way, right?

I know how to differentiate between a rich traditional social and cultural heritage that is the key to better understanding and business bridge building between Malays and Chinese, sir than to dwell in the petty differences that are usually the result of ill informed uncultured folks and destroy any chances of networking amongst us Muslims and Non Muslims in seeking a better future for all!

Fear is good tiching99. It helps to stop us from taking things for granted especially when it concerns the basic foundations of living together in a multi ethnic, multi faithed nation such as ours.

Realizing the do’s and don’ts when touching on subjects as sensitive as socio-political-religious matters helps keep us on our toes and to realize that in a world as diverse and as interesting as ours here in Malaysia, sometimes such a kaleidoscopic way of life and our various ethnicities and traditional values is what makes us to be so special in the eyes of the world.

When certain quarters amongst us choose to rock the boat and attempt to sink us from within, don’t you think that such unfounded causes and fears need to be corrected by straight talking articles and viewpoints such as mine?

I am for all Malaysians to enjoy a better way of life. Street protests and hooliganism has yet to prove to be the panacea for all their ills.

Sometimes, the source of treatment is right smack in their own self’s. Nurturing the right mindset and knowing what one needs to do to improve one’s lot within the framework of national interests and guidelines is all that it takes.

Having unfounded fears being stoked day in and day out by those with vested interests and foul agendas only serve to drive us further apart and will in turn also start to consume them from deep within.

Living in hatred and animosity towards others only adds to their current miseries in terms of adding on unnecessary mental stress, physical dangers and even imprisonment or worse getting shot and killed on our nation’s streets.

Failure to learn as to how best to go about seeking whatever it is that one is unhappy about just shows to us and the whole wide world, the lack of rationale behavior and commonsense in the movement that tends to destroy more than what it intends to acquire and to build up especially in the life’s of such desperadoes who took to the streets on the 25th of November, 2007, here in Kuala Lumpur and at Batu Caves, Selangor.

Go see for yourselves, the various videoclips and articles plus news reports that are being posted in Malaysiakini and Malaysia Today.

Although both alternative web news portals publish many articles and news reports that are deemed as sensitive by the government's mainstream mass media, you would be able to learn a more balanced viewpoint and editors there than in any other major news papers or broadcasting stations.

Don't worry tiching99. We will still remain as good natured well balanced Malaysians forever.

BN State Assemblyman assaults PAS Assemblyman in Kelantan!

KOTA BHARU, 27 Nov 2007.

The dignity of the Kelantan State Assembly was violated by BN (Paloh) Assemblyman Dato' Nozula Mat Diah assaulting PAS Assemblyman Mohd Zaki Ibrahim (PAS Kelaboran) in the State Assembly session yesterday!

This outrageous act of gangsterism was caught on video and broadcasted live on the PAS Web TV that has never failed to broadcast each and every Kelantan State Assembly session unlike the BN's failure to show us the Malaysian citizens the monkey business that takes place without fail in Parliament!

Will you see this criminal act by one of the BN's Assemblyman being even mentioned by the nation's mainstream mass media or broadcast every few minutes by RTM as they did with their propaganda clip showing the Batu Burok incident where agent provocateurs succeeded in turning a peaceful BERSIH rally into one of this country's most tragic incidents where two PAS members were seriously injured by live shooting from an undercover FRU agent!

No sirree! The cat will grow horns before RTM has the balls to show the nation this blatant act of gangsterism by one of the BN UMNO's ' KURANG AJAR' idiot who does not deserve the honorific of 'Yang Berhormat' being addressed to him by the Kelantan State Assembly Speaker!

'Yang Berhormat' my foot! Such a belligerent moron does not deserve to be allowed to escape prosecution!

This incident started when Dato' Mohd Zain Ismail (BN-Bukit Tuku) wasn't satisfied with the answer given by the Chairman of the Committee of Trade, Industry and Human Resources, Zulkifli Mamat with regard to a question about the progress of the Afta City Rantau Panjang projectand told that the project has been called off.

"The problem now is that the state government would like to correct the statement that a state exco was present in the officiating ceremony of that project. We would like to correct the statement containing the accusation from YB (Nozula).

We do not want the elected Representative to bring idle gossip and table it in this Assembly. Is rectifying an incorrect statement wrong?" asked Zulkifli followed by the thumping of tables by several Assemblymen.

The words of Zulkifli enraged Nozula who got up and retorted that zulkifli's answer was stupid and considered the state government accusing the BN Kelantan Opposition as dumb and ignored the Speaker's call upon him to sit!

"Let me speak after this!" demanded Nozula in a rough manner ignoring calls by the Speaker to him to sit down.

Things heated up when Nozula took offense at Zaki Ibrahim (PAS Kelaboran) when Zaki asked the BN Rep. to apologize to the Assembly for being rude to the Speaker and the general assembly.

"You are the rude one!" replied Nozula as he rushed towards Zaki and as the whole world can see in the clip above kicked Zaki in the full view of everyone in the Kelantan State Assembly without giving a damn about the consequences!

Such is the criminal gangster behavior of UMNO Kelantan's Paloh BN Assemblyman who is not only rude but needs to be kicked out of the State Assembly!

In the 21st November State Assembly session, Nozula had been suspended from attending the assembly by the Speaker under the State Assembly Rule 51.3 for refusing to follow orders and acting outrageously during the assembly.

Will RTM or any of the main television broadcasting stations have any integrity to show the Malaysian nation this outrageous 'kurang ajar' episode by one of the BN's State Assemblyman?

You can rest assured that if such an event ever take place, the Information Minister Zainudin Maidin's hair will turn blond before it does!

Thank God for You Tube and this internet for this chance for us to show you the real deal with the state of affairs in Kelantan where UMNO's Assemblyman assaults a PAS Assemblyman at will and without a care against any repercussions!

I hope this clip is shown by Malaysiakini without delay. Let the whole world see for themselves as to the quality or lack of it in their BN Paloh Assemblyman and whether the people in his unfortunate constituency would want to have such an idiot represent them again?

Malaysian Reality that every citizen has to accept and submit to.

In view of this latest uprising of the Malaysian Indians grassroots population whom we all have to acknowledge have not been really taken care of by their elected representatives especially the politicians in the Malaysian Indian Congress and all the other offshoot Malaysian Indian political parties, it is high time that the Malaysian Government spring clean itself from those who are corrupt and have failed to carry out their duties.

We have to acknowledge that things aren't exactly fair in areas of responsible governance by the present government that has been in power far too long for it's own good.

Yet we are faced with a lack of alternative capable candidates from the present Opposition parties to form an alternative better government for all Malaysians.

Not one Opposition figure in my current individual personal assessment seems to be suitable or capable to bring about change and replace the present BN regime. I'd welcome suggestions from you as to whom i should root for and why? Just wanting to see your point of view. Thank you.

Please do not mistake my saying so to be endorsing Abdullah Badawi's administration. He is miles away from even coming close to what the 4th Malaysian Prime Minister has achieved despite his iron fisted kick ass policies and dictatorship. Be honest and face up to the reality.

You see, when we have to compare the achievements of dictator Prime Ministers like Malaysia's 4th PM Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and Singapore's ex PM and current Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew, both kick ass premiers have delivered to their respective nation's, progress, development, better economies, and an overall climate of change to the entire nation.

I know that they clamped down on freedom of this and that activists but look at the results of their dictatorships. Aren't Malaysia and Singapore better off today as a result of their iron fisted policies?

If you want to talk about corruption, which President or Prime Minister of any country today who has not enriched him or herself or members of their families whilst claiming to be so holy moly before their people? Not that many, right?

Let's look at Singapore.

Singapore today comes across as a wealthy island republic whose economy is much stabler than the rest of South East Asia.

They could afford to do so because they are only a small island with a population that is only 10% of what Malaysia has and could spend more on keeping the island clean and opening up job opportunities to not only their own people but also to hundreds of thousands of foreign workers including tens of thousands of our fellow Malaysians.

We could also do the same but we have one major problem. Racial based government. It is unavoidable here in this nation where race plays a major, major part in deciding who gets to be what and who is class A, B, C, D, etc.

From my observations. A = Malay, B = Chinese, C = Indians, D = Others.

Let's not beat around the bush as far as Malaysian social contract is concerned. The nation will never be any different from what is has been and always will be.

This is the land of the Malays. All who are rooting for a 'Malaysian Malaysia' utopia should slap themselves as hard as they can and wake up to the realities facing us.

It doesn't matter if your forefathers had been the very first aborigines or natives who first occupied this peninsular.

It doesn't change the fact that this nation came into being only when Parameswara, a Hindu prince from Palembang, Sumatera crossed over from the Indonesian archipelago and established his kingdom that was known as the Sultanate of Melaka, many centuries ago.

It doesn't deny that the Malays of today used to be Hindus back then. It doesn't deny that after Parameswara embraced Islam, the Malaccans who were his subjects embraced Islam as well and today, the entire Malay population save for a few apostates and freethinkers here and there are amongst South East Asia's largest group of Muslims , this part of the world.

The Malays have changed this once jungle infested peninsular into what it is today with the help and assistance from the immigrant Chinese and Indians who came here either as forced labor or on their own volition to seek a better life to escape the hardships of their motherlands in China and India, way back in the early 1800's when the British ruled over Malaya. This era was known as British Malaya.

When the British Crown had no choice but to give Independence to this peninsular, the Chinese and Indians opted to settle down here with the consent of the Malays and became fellow citizens but not as equals.

This is a fact that each and every Malaysian has to accept and submit to.

The Malays never consented to the British plan to make the Chinese and Indian immigrant populations as their equals.

They opposed the Malayan Union plan of the British and fought as hard as they could to stop the British nonsense. The British to this day do not put to practice such a concept in their own country, do they?

Can Britain accept and allow a Chinese or an Indian to be their Prime Minister?

Let them do it first before asking any other nation to do so.

Has any Western nation ever accepted any Non White as their equal way back then during the times of the British Empire era and the occupation of the American Native Indians continent by the immigrants from England who sought escape from the British Crown way back then?

Racial discrimination is part and parcel of our human existence and to this very day, many countries do practice it without an iota of remorse.

Even in present day China and India, the motherland of many of us whose ancestors came from there, racial discrimination exists and thrives despite official government propaganda that tries to paint a different picture.

Caste based racial profiling exists to this very day in many districts and states of India and Pakistan.

Compared to the violent manner by which many lower caste ethnicities are dealt with in India, Pakistan and certain parts of present day People's Republic of China, the situations for ethnic Indians and Chinese here are not that bad when we look at it from a realistic point of view.

Opportunists in the form of ethnic Indian Muslims amongst the Indian immigrant population of current day Malaysia have successfully assimilated themselves into the 'Malay' diaspora and labeled themselves as 'Malays' much to the chagrin of the economically challenged and deprived grassroots of the majority of the Malaysian Indians. Many of UMNO's Cabinet Ministers are Indian Muslims. You know who they are.

The reason being is that the Indian Muslims profess the same faith as the Malays and are able to adopt and adept to the social, cultural and religious aspects of being a Malay Bumiputera.

Some Chinese who have embraced Islam have also adopted and adapted themselves into the larger Malay community either as being a part of the Muslim Ummah as an automatic induction into the Way of Life as a fellow Muslim or as part and parcel of marrying into the Malay community.

Others such as Indians, Caucasians, Afro Americans, etc. have also become Muslims and get accepted into the realm of Malaysian Malay community. It is a fact that by doing so, they get to enjoy certain privileges accorded to their spouses and also children that is reserved for Malay Bumiputera's.

Many Chinese and Indians who have accepted the norms of Malaysian social contract that their forefathers have agreed to when they first decided to settle down here as fellow Malayans, choose to just overlook this and go about their ways, doing business, get employment or try to earn their keep doing whatever they can in this land of many opportunities.

As a result, today, the Chinese and Indians outnumber the Malays in being the wealthiest amongst Malaysians who have made it into the Who's Who in Malaysian Billionaires List.

Yet, there exists a certain part of our Malaysian Indian population who have lacked so far behind in the economic race that they languish in self pity and dire straits as a result of the failure of their elected MIC representatives to grab and share the economic pie amongst the Malaysian Indians.

Being left out of the development and progress of others in this country has only seen the Malaysian Indians harbor a deep growing resentment in their hearts and minds towards the others especially against the Malays for not giving way to their present day demands such as what HINDRAF has put forward today.

They forget that this status quo in Malaysia is not something that simply came into being. This is what their Chinese and Indian immigrant forefathers agreed to and signed to accept as part and parcel of the conditions by which the Malays of 1956 consented and accepted as a social contract in giving citizenship to the Chinese and Indians back then.

It doesn't matter that the Malay Royals we have here today are the ones who surrendered their states to the British Colonial Masters back then. It doesn't change anything for today, they hold the power and have the authority to do as they please.

Anyone who denies that is only fooling him or herself and living in denial. The only way anyone who is not happy with the way of life here in Malaysia can affect some changes to their future is to win power through the General Elections.

That is the only platform where popular choice rules the day and those who control the majority of representation in the Malaysian Parliament can call the shots, amend the Federal Constitution and rule as they wish for the 5 years term that they won by making it in the GE.

All the current political theatrics come to no avail when you do not have the authority or hold the power where it really, really matters. That's the majority in Parliament.

Nothing can change the situation here for anyone of us who is not happy with the BN, Abdullah Badawi, Najib, Samy Vellu or Ong Ka Ting or any other Ahmad, Ah Seng and Samy, when we do not have the authority or power to speak up in the Parliament and get the support of the majority of the MP's there.

Yak yakkety yakking away, criticizing any bloody thing or government leader at the local Mamak bistro's, Riverside Cafe at PWTC or any other coffee lounge, Starbucks, Coffee Bean, kopitiams and warongs will change nothing for us , even if you warm that butt of yours for hours and days at end!

Political change can only be effected at the polls. Face this reality and do something about it or just mind your own business and go live as you can.

May the truth of what I have said hit full square in the mind and wake up those who have been daydreaming of their own Malaysian Malaysia utopia!

Register yourselves with the Elections Commission if you want to see change. Good luck to all!

HINDRAF - Between demanding Justice, Religious and Racist Fantasies

This is in reference to a comment made by a HINDRAF supporter in my article before this.

This answer is also written in general to those who wonder where Mahaguru58 stands on this HINDRAF's demands to our Malaysian Government?

Kums,

First and foremost, no one can change who they are. Ethnic origins is a gift from Allah the Almighty.

I am an Indian Muslim but strongly Malay in my upbringing and my day to day life.

The only culture I have known and practiced in my life is the Malay culture.

What you say is understandable from the Malaysian Indians who support and identify with HINDRAF's viewpoint.

That's just natural.

There is however the main issue of HINDRAF's agenda.

Advocating the rights of the Hindus only. Read ' Hindu Rights Action Force'.

It's got no reference to the rights of other Malaysian Indians. What more of other Malaysians for the matter?

There is no reference at all in all these demands to fight for the rights of ALL Malaysians unlike what BERSIH stands for?

Hence, I see no relativity with what you are claiming in your last sentences with what the leaders of HINDRAF are preaching at HINDRAF's gatherings.

One needs to be clear about the realities and the fantasies here.

HINDRAF is fighting for the rights (real or imagined) of the Malaysian Hindus unlike the Malaysian Indian Congress.

The MIC was set up by Indians of various faiths and ethnic origins unlike what HINDRAF stands for.

Agreed?

So, for you to say one thing whilst HINDRAF's leaders clearly demanding another spells of misleading understandings of what exactly is HINDRAF fighting for?

The way the speeches are being made by HINDRAF's leaders spells a confrontational approach and attitude that promises further bloodshed in this volatile issue.

As a Malaysian Muslim blogger who understands Tamil, I am sharing with all Malaysians what HINDRAF leaders are saying in their fiery speeches.

The nation needs to know what's going on instead of being lost in the translation.

I am for all Malaysians to be able to live in peace and relative prosperity but the demands made by HINDRAF seem to me to be more imaginary than actual reality.

Hence, I have to disagree with you there about your illusions of seeing ALL Malaysians walk with HINDRAF on such a solely Hindu rights future protest rally.

I have marched with the Malaysian Bar Council lawyers in Putrajaya irrespective of my personal principles of not liaising with those who pose a threat to my faith and fellow Muslims on the account of a common ground in opposing judicial rot.

Ask Haris Ibrahim. We have our differences of opinions and standpoints in many cases especially in the matter of Lina Joy and other Apostasy cases but as fellow Malaysian Bloggers, we still acknowledged each other and marched together for a common cause.

It does not mean that we are chummy chummy with each other on the other issues. Period.

I acknowledge and support BERSIH's call for a clean and fair GE this time around.

Does not mean that you will see me rooting for DAP's Malaysian Malaysia battle cry!

I support PAS's call for an Islamic State. Doesn't mean that I will blindly rubberstamp my approval for street protests and running battles with my fellow Muslims in the FRU or even with UMNO!

I share here in my blog what I think my fellow Malaysians need to know and understand about the real deal with Islam, the only faith that I believe in and acknowledge as the true Way of Life that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has decreed for us Mankind but it doesn't mean that I can't and won't discuss and befriend my fellow Malaysians from other faiths and creed.

I even posed with the DAP leaders in many functions we attended together as fellow Malaysians and as Malaysian Bloggers but doesn't mean that we agree with each other on all things.

There are many things which we can agree and disagree about
but it doesn't mean we have to just blindly support and endorse causes that run against our principles and foundations of belief, which to me is the most important thing in my life as a Muslim.

I am not alone in thinking this way.
Even Ahiruddin Atan @ Rocky Bru feels the same way about this HINDRAF matter.

Rocky is a very liberal guy for the matter but even he isn't too gung ho about this blatantly racist and religious extremist grouping that has and still is calling for a mass confrontation of the Hindus here in Malaysia against the Government of this nation we all so love and call our home, Malaysia.

So, how would a Muslim fundamentalist kick ass blogger like me feel about these chaps rooting for the destruction of all that we have come to love and cherish here in Malaysia?

Naturally, I will stay away from being mistaken to be supportive of the racial and religious stoking of Malaysian Hindus feelings and emotions to the stage of venting out their frustrations on the roads and streets of this nation when we are just so bloody close to the legitimate General Elections of this country!

Let all those who aren't happy about the way things are here in Malaysia, register themselves as a legitimate political party and contest in the General Elections on an equal footing.

That's the only way to go about it. Not running amok on the streets and fighting each other!

When millions of foreigners flock to our nation to seek a living and earn an income, why the hell must we have Malaysians behaving like lunatics on our streets?

I say this to all who are so keen to engage in running battles with the security forces of this country who are just doing their bloody job!

What exactly would you like the Police and the FRU to do? Just stay in their barracks and let anarchy run amok in our nation?

Hell No!

No way jose!

I didn't like to see the way people got hurt on the 25th of November!

This is not the way Malaysians should behave and act!

We aren't barbarians, are we?

You not happy with the BN government? Fine! Go vote for whom you like! If the party you support wins, fine. Go rule over us.

You screw up? You will get voted out in the next GE!

This is the way civilized people operate. Not like some banana republic where the law of the jungle reigns havoc over the rights and life's of it's people!

It is as many say. Malaysia might have first world infrastructure but damn!..we still have amongst us those who don't know and understand the true meaning of the word 'democracy'.

Do we even have to wonder why the FRU have to be tough on such street protesters?

Dang Wangi CID Sub Inspector Chew Choon Peng who was viciously attacked and had his skull cracked and bloodied would have every right in the world to open fire at his attackers!

Each and every one of us in his place would have not hesitated to shoot to kill those who attacked him like that! I would! Period!

I don't like to say so but in a matter of choosing between one's own life and personal safety, I dare say that any rational sane human being in the inspector's position would have blasted away those attackers!

HINDRAF is pursuing a dangerous way to achieve their objectives. I state herewith that this blogger will not walk with them in any rally or march for they are wrong to engage in this confrontational approach that has the potential to hurt and harm many more people including the very Malaysian Hindus it says it represents.

I pray that no one dies for the political aspirations of HINDRAF's leaders in this manner that they have chosen to go.

When mankind all over the world seek to earn a living in peace and harmony, we have before us today those who won't hesitate to hurt and maim or even kill their fellow Malaysians just to achieve their Hindu Utopia, right here in this multi ethnic, multi faithed country of us all, Malaysia.

I call upon HINDRAF to reconsider their confrontational stand and go take part in the coming General Elections as rightful civil citizens of Malaysia, registered properly as a political party, equal and righteous as others.

This is the best way to seek whatever it is you wish for. Befitting your roles as seekers of justice.

The present way is only going to see more blood shed by the masses and the security forces.

I say no to such a damaging approach to seek compensation for the past and forgetting to seize the various opportunities we have here in our nation.

Sometimes , we tend to focus on the distant horizon and fail to see the luscious green beneath our feet.

Don't we?

Please check out this clarification from the Selangor State Government regarding the actual facts about the Padang Jawa squatter area clearance where the temple and surau were demolished after it's land owner asked for the authorities help .

There's a whole lot more realities that bloggers and blog readers ought to study and know in depth before coming to any conclusions about anything happening here in our nation.

Knowledge is power, my fellow Malaysians.

Lack of it will only see us fighting against one another for no rhyme and reason except that we were taken for a ride by those with vested interests in seeing us tear each other to shreds whilst they enjoy the side show and reap the rewards from their own, blinkered political agendas at our expense.

Suggestive and selective reporting or blogging can and will incite those ignorants who don't have a bloody clue as to what they are fighting for in the first place.

Unbridled anger can and will cloud one's judgments especially when it involves one's race and religion. The devious ones can easily spark off a massacre amongst us, generally peace loving Malaysians from all walks of life.

Before we jump to conclusions and start whacking the life out of each other, our neighbors and our brothers and sisters here in Malaysia, please.....please check and recheck our sources of 'news' and latest 'updates'.

Rational advice? I seriously hope so. Our life's depend on it.

HINDRAF's 18 Points of Demand to the BN Government

I came upon the list of demands that HINDRAF has made to the BN Government of Malaysia at http://mymassa.com.

Since HINDRAF is in the news lately with their extraordinary demands for financial compensations from the British Government and invoking the intervention of Queen Elizabeth in our nation's internal matters, I feel it is important for all Malaysians to learn about the contents of their demands made upon the Government of Malaysia as well, in this memorandum to the Malaysian Government as worded out below.

This is not a matter between just HINDRAF and the UMNO led BN Coalition Government for it involves and relates to all of us who dwell within this nation.

*************************************************************************************

50th year Merdeka (Independence) demands by the two (2) million ethnic minority Indians in Malaysia to Y.A.B. DatoSeri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi Prime Minister of Malaysia on Sunday the 12th day of August 2007 at 10.00a.m at Seri Perdana, Putrajaya Malaysia.

1. Whereas:

The Reid Commission was appointed by her Majesty the Queen of England and the Conference of Rulers in 1956 with the view to Malaya (and now Malaysia) achieving independence by August 1957.Among the primary terms of reference of the Reid Commission were a Common Nationality for the whole of the Federation.

2. And whereas

The overwhelming of the 131 written memorandum submitted to the Reid Commission as evidenced by the declassified documents from the Public Records Office, Kew, London, United Kingdom which represented the will and wishes of the then Malayan population were primarily equality and equal opportunities etc for all Malayans irrespective of race or religion as follows: -

2.1 In the grant of state land,
2.2 Admission to public and administrative service;
2.3 To trade and do business, licenses, permits etc
2.4 Primary, secondary, skills Training, university and overseas university education.

2.5 No special privileges for the Malays,
2.6 No discrimination of any ethnic community based on race or religion,
2.7 The retention of all their places of worship in particular Hindu temples, crematoriums and burial sites,
2.8 Freedom of Religion,
2.9 Malaya is to be a Secular State and not an Islamic state,
2.10 Right to mother tongue education in particular Tamil schools to be fully aided,
2.11 Minimum wage for the lowest paid, and
2.12 Equal recognition as sons of the soil for all Malayan born.

3. And whereas
Based on the aforesaid proposals the Malaysian Federal Constitution, which is the supreme law of Malaysia as drawn out by the Reid Commission in 1957 was passed by the inaugural Malayan Parliament and which formed the basis of independent Malaysia.

4. And whereas
Over the last 50 years since independence on the 31st day of August 1957, the United Malays National Organization (UMNO) controlled Malaysian government with their majoritarian might, and backed by police, Attorney General’s Chambers, Judiciary, civil service and the media continuously violated the Malaysian Federal Constitution by their racist and Islamic extremist policies and which in effect have created an apartheid system ala Malaysia and especially resulting in the degeneration of at least 70% of the ethnic minority Indians to become the underclass of Malaysia who end up in the poor and hardcore poor category.

The rest of the 29% raised above the poor and hardcore poor category wholly and/or substantially through their own efforts, sacrifices and labor with no or very little assistance by the UMNO controlled government. The 1% of the cream thrives anyway.

5. And whereas
The plight of the Indians have been made worse by the racist UMNO mindset having spilled over to even almost all of the Opposition parties, NGOs’, Civil society, Malaysian Human Rights Commission (Suhakam), Bar Council, the media etc who do not take up the Indian plight for they are deemed to be lacking “political mileage” (race based) and/or no funding.

6. And whereas
The Indians having no or very little opportunities for upward mobility or hope either turn to crime (60% of Malaysian detainees are Indians though they are only 8% of population-Suhakam 2005) or end up committing suicide which is 1000% higher than Malays (Utusan Malaysia 12.9.2005).

7. And Whereas at a public forum attended by 1,000 over Indians on 28.7.2007 at 7.00p.m at the Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall, the participants unanimously resolved to forward their 18 point demands and which this peaceful assembly gathered here today on the 12th day of August 2007 at Putrajaya once again unanimously resolves to demand as herein below outlined.

(7) All the aforesaid is to be handled directly by the UMNO controlled government and UMNO is to stop “playing politics” through the “Mandore” (supervisor) system by dishing out on a piecemeal and/or peanuts basis or merely public and/or newspaper announcements and declarations by the Malaysian Indian Congress (M.I.C) who have no or very little power or say in the UMNO controlled Malaysian government.

(8) 20% of the Government top most level postings (Secretary Generals), Middle level Management (Directors) and management level (Managers) postings, and the same for the Private Sectors, and positions of District Officers; Foreign and Diplomatic Service positions, civil service positions are reserved for Indians for the next 15 years.

(10) Stop the indiscriminate unconstitutional and unlawful demolitions of Hindu temples, crematoriums and burial sites in Malaysia.

  • All existing Hindu temples, crematoriums and burial sites be granted state land and permanently gazetted as Hindu temple reserves as has been done for all Islamic places of worship and burial sites.
  • Compensation at RM10 Million per temple be paid by the UMNO controlled Malaysian Government for the 15,000 Hindu temples demolished up to date over the last 50 years.
  • Every individual given the Right to practice and profess Religion/s of his/her choice in accordance to Standards adopted by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948.
  • The State and its Authorities barred from interfering in the personal beliefs and conscience of individual citizens .

(13) Each and every Indian especially the Indian poor in the aforesaid 70% Indian poor and hardcore poor category is paid compensation which is to be adjudicated and determined by the United Nations Secretary General for the aforesaid 50 years of Constitutional violations by the UMNO controlled government.

Transcript of the videoclip above :

A week before Deepavali, this UMNO government and Police tortured us!

Padang Jawa folks, come aboard.

(Applause)

All stand up! All stand up! Let’s give them a hearty welcome! Ready to sacrifice their lives. These are our heroes!

Heroes! They are our heroes! Our Heroes!

On that day when there were thousands of policemen, FRU troopers, who had all kinds of weapons but these people only numbered about 50 persons, the police couldn’t handle these people, who had only two hands, they fought, they fought!

Don’t break! Don’t break! Don’t break these temples!

(Applause)

These are our affected warriors from Padang Jawa. Today, they will be at Brickfields for another event at 7pm. Before they leave, I want to call one of the main affected participant, Mr. Krishnan who has two words to say to you.

These two words will be remembered by all of you. Come forward sir.

‘Greetings everyone!’

(Applause)

I am a small trader. Upon learning that the temple was going to be demolished, we went there.

When we reached there, all kinds of unsavory events were taking place. You have heard about these.

My wife, children, uncles, cousins, 6 persons in our family. We were all assaulted.

As a result of such beatings, today, you have all gathered.

We are very happy. Being beaten is no big deal. Such a large crowd assembled here is great!

(Applause)

(Unintelligible) whatever took place, we persevered. Our hearts were not with us. It is with you all.

There are people like you waiting for us at Brickfields.

I told this gentleman that we are happy to be with you. We came from Seremban yesterday. Batang Berjuntai is our place. There was a wave (of support). We saw the same wave (of support) there as well.

We came here to Penang. We went to Perai as well. We saw that the Tsunami has come and stood here! (Applause. shrieks)

This wave won’t dissipate! Won’t stop!

Nothing can stop it!

The next big tsunami is on the 25th (November)-(the rally)

Bring it up! Bring it up! (Applause)

I am ready to sacrifice my life! Doesn’t matter about others! I’m ready to sacrifice my life! (Applause)

Thank you all. We are heading to Kuala Lumpur! Greetings to all.

(Applause)

HINDRAF - Malaysian Indians Political Renaissance

You can't help but notice the tremendous rallying of Malaysian Indians to HINDRAF's call to them to lend support to their cause of fighting for their rights to be given attention by both the Malaysian government and that of the former British Colonial masters who brought their forefathers from India to work here in then British Malaya as coolies and estate workers in the early 1950's.

This renaissance of the Malaysian Indian population is the result of polarization of the Indian ethnicity of Malaysia's multi ethnic, multi faithed population that has been the root cause of their current uprising.

All these while, the BN Government has been playing dice with the rights and conveniently neglected their obligations to deal justly with the three main ethnicities who make up the bulk of Malaysians.

It is only the connected and privileged ones amongst the Barisan Nasional major coalition party leaders and top members who have been freeloading on the bulk of this nation's economic pie and willfully ignore the plight of the poverty ridden minorities in the rural areas and estates of this nation.

It is true as what Abdullah Badawi says that there exists rich and poor people amongst all the various races living here in Malaysia but he damn well forgets that as the Prime Minister of this country, it has now become his bloody responsibility to see to it that he stops spewing rhetoric and start taking care of ALL Malaysians, irrespective of their creed and skin color!

People are suffering from lack of official attention and deep rooted corruption permeating in all levels of government especially when it comes to equal distribution of government aid and opportunities to all the grassroot levels of the Malaysian populace.

We all know that certain committee members of the hundreds of thousands of JKKK @ Jawatankuasa Kebajikan dan Keselamatan Kampong or the relevant Jawatankuasa Rukun Tetangga commit CBT @ Criminal Breach of Trusts in distributing any government aid that comes their way and they swallow it all up amongst themselves and fail to rightfully share it out amongst the poverty ridden people of their kampongs and neighborhoods.

The resulting imbalance of social responsibility results in poor families suffering much more severely when the main income earner of the poor households finds it even harder to make ends meet as a result of growing costs of living as a result of rising prices of the basic necessities in conjunction with the government's measures to stay on par with the market's fluctuations.

Funds that were intended to help poor families to stave off the impacts of inflation in their lives are gobbled up by the corrupt local rural councils and village committees.

All these dissatisfactions give birth to rising resentment amongst the lowly paid, lowly educated rural folks who in turn fall victim to all kinds of escapist measures such as get involved with alcoholism, drug abuse and petty crime in order to drown their sorrows away.

Absenteeism, gang activities, sex related crimes, prostitution, abuse and all other kinds of social maladies emerge as a temporary release for the frustrated grassroot levels especially amongst the poor Malaysians living in such heartbreaking conditions who yearn for a way out or seek help from concerned bodies and organizations who are willing to spare them some thought or offer them a way out.

HINDRAF comes to the aid of the dissatisfied and disillusioned Malaysian Indians who have been neglected by the Malaysian Indian Congress top officials who are content to line up their own nests with the privileges they enjoy as being the top coalition members of the Barisan Nasional Government of Malaysia.

Whether the leaders of HINDRAF have hidden agendas or vested interests to garner political power to further their own causes is not of concern to the Malaysian Indian masses as demonstrated in their willingness to gather in support of the Malaysian Indian lawyers who have formed this pressure group to demand fair and equal rights be accorded to the Malaysian Indians.

These are the Malaysian Indians whom everyone in authority and political power seemed to conveniently choose to overlook all these 50 long years of achieving Independence from the British Masters but still remain shackled by the chains of poverty and official government neglect as a result of the corrupt lower level government representatives in the form of the JKKK @ Village Committees and Rukun Tetangga @ Neighborhood Watch.

So, to me, this emergence of HINDRAF comes across as a renaissance of the true Malaysian Indians grassroots political uprising. MIC are in for the wake up call of their lives when the grassroot supporters of HINDRAF all over the Malaysian nation rally in support of its newfound leaders in the lawyers who make up the leadership of HINDRAF.

Concerned Muslims are also aware of the emergence of HINDRAF as a worrying trend of Hindu religious extremists such as those found in the Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh @ RSSS of India who use the temples issues to seize power and land from erecting illegal temples and then demand legalized alternative sites in exchange for the demolishing of their illegal sites in the long run.

Thus, the people of Malaysia need to look deep into the root causes of all these latest developments.

It all boils down to corruption at the lowest rungs of the prevailing government.

Once you clean up the roots, the tree will flourish and bear enough fruits to be shared and enjoyed by all.

May Malaysians learn to differentiate between political manipulations, racial incitements and official corruption in dealing with these challenging times.

We are all first and foremost fellow Malaysians. We grew up with each other. Our blood is the same color and we feel the same pain, same emotions, same happiness and same despair.

Do not let race and religious issues cloud our judgments and pit us against each other. As the Children of Adam, we are all brothers and sisters.

Learn to live together in relative peace and harmony and focus on the main issues. Corrupt officials.

Learn to vote wisely this time around and get rid of all the unnecessary barnacles and freeloaders sucking the juices out of this golden land we all call home.

May peace be upon us all. Ameen.

HINDRAF 'Demo gone crazy'. Now everyone can cry!

Thanks to Malaysiakini.tv for the above videoclips of the peaceful turned violent HINDRAF rally.
*********************************************************************************

Well, the HINDRAF leaders must now be pleased that the whole bloody world is talking about us and the way we are moving towards 'democrazy'.

Quite an achievement, right? In the impatience of waiting for the GE to take place, Malaysia has now seen two violent 'peaceful' demonstrations that has made headlines all over the world, albeit for the wrong reasons.

I am not condoning Abdullah Badawi's BN administration. In fact, those who read my blog know that I am not a major fan of the successor to our nation's former iron fisted dictator cum architect of our nation's transformation from an agricultural based former British Empire's colony to being South East Asia's leading developing country.

The thing is, does violence change the status quo here in this multi ethnic, multi faithed country?
Violence begets violence. We all know that.

The bleeding Dang Wangi CID Sub Inspector Chew Choon Peng shown here in this photo and in this Star Online news report was assaulted with sharp objects by the 'peaceful' HINDRAF rally goers. Occupational risks?

Many other policemen and HINDRAF members suffered severe injuries to themselves in the violent confrontations.

What if he had died? Would the rally organizers be satisfied? What if any of the HINDRAF supporters had been killed in the melee? Who is to be blamed?....Think!

The major difference is that on one side, the authorities have legal rights to enforce the law by using whatever means they have at their disposal to quell unrests such as what took place yesterday in the KL city center's and also at Batu Caves, the Malaysian Hindu's major temple complex. On the other hand, those protesters or rally goers stand foul of the law.

Behind all these 'peaceful' protests, are the orchestrator's of the rally who failed to take into account, the terrible toll on humans especially those of their own supporters , the Malaysian Indian populace.

We know that people aren't happy with the way, things have been here in Malaysia. The dissatisfactions voiced by members and supporters of HINDRAF and other ethnic based parties and organizations have been vented out in street demonstrations, especially within this month of November, 2007.

The question we need to ask these rally organizers is,
  • "Is it worth the blood being spilled?"
  • "Is this the kind of democracy that Malaysians want?"
  • To inflict as much pain as possible on members of the public and those employed as the law and order agencies of this nation?
If these are their objectives, then congratulations! Objectives achieved with bleeding results.

Justice and human rights activists have a funny way of showing the nation as to how it works?

What is deemed to be a basic human right to assemble and protest is also a potential flash point of street violence and thuggery that if left to run amok can result in anarchy. Yesterday's HINDRAF rally proved the fears right.

We must remember that unbridled emotions and passions stoked with racial and religious overtones can be a volatile mix of human savagery that brushes aside any iota of compassion that we may have for our fellow man.

It works both ways. Both the law enforcers and the street protesters are susceptible to emotionally charged loss of rational thought and judgment when faced with obvious mortal dangers to themselves when driven to choose between submission or forced confrontation with whomsoever poses a threat to their lives such as yesterday's gone crazy rally!

Survival instincts kick in and the result is usually not that pretty or peaceful. The protesters were there for a reason. Dissatisfaction about the way, their community have been mistreated and also because they have to make a stand about seeing their unauthorized places of worships being demolished.

We understand that such temples were demolished by the local authorities after complaints by their respective landowners lodged complaints or reports against such illegal establishments.

Even if the land belonged to private individuals who consented to the erection of such religious places within their land boundaries, the people also need to know that there are certain guidelines and criteria in the laws of the nation that govern the establishments of such religious places of worship.

The founders of such places failed to consult and get the approvals to build such temples or other religious structures from the government authorities in the first place.

Religious sensitivities and the resulting social impact need to be taken into consideration by the local authorities before they issue approvals and permits to the building of religious places.

We must not forget that in this world, there exists many different forms of faith and religious beliefs that if left to run without exercising strict control and preventive measures can break out into violence and skirmishes against one and the other.

Even fellow adherents to any faith can have differences amongst themselves as we know exist in every major faith or belief.

Muslims have differences amongst ourselves. There are those who are followers of the Holy Prophet Muhammad's Sunnah Wal Jama'ah and also those who call themselves Shia's and claim to be members of the House of 'Ali and negate the Prophethood of the Blessed Messenger and curse his Sahabah's @ Companions. Violent clashes and skirmishes between the two major groups have seen endless deaths and injuries take place over the centuries.

This is not taking into account, the various other sects and groups who fail to reconciliate with one another and return to the true teachings of the Final Messenger Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam and the true form of Islam that God Almighty has revealed to us, mankind.

Christianity has its own fair share of troubles between the various denominations and just like Islam, has seen its adherents wage war against one another to this very second and kill each other for the sake of trying to prove that they are right and the others all wrong!

Hinduism, Buddhism, and all other 'ism's have their own tragic tales to tell.

Don't even start to touch on politics.

All over the world, mankind continues to kill and be killed over political issues. Human rights, animal rights, gays and lesbian rights, this right and that right all sort of put the entire human civilization into a sordid, messy , bloody blight!

It is exactly as what the Surah Al-Asr says of us.

1. Waal AAasri
1. By (the Token of) Time (through the ages),

2. Inna al-insana lafee khusrin
2. Verily Man is in loss,

3. Illa allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati watawasaw bialhaqqi watawasaw bialssabri
3. Except those who have Faith, and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth, and of Patience and Constancy(being steadfast in their good deeds).

~@~~@~~@~~@~~@~~@~~@~~@~~@~

We stand to be amongst those who will always be amongst the losers if we fail to exercise sensible and rational acts of living this challenging life here on Earth.

Malaysians of all ethnicities and faiths need to weigh the consequences of acting irrationally and fail to seize the day when the ballot boxes are opened for us to choose whom we want to represent us as our next Malaysian Government.

As the Surah says, we need to be a tad patient in clamoring for our rights.

Haste makes waste!

The future of our country and that of ourselves and our children is at stake. Do not gamble it all away by making rushed decisions.

Practice democracy by voting for your chosen representatives in the GE. Street protests do not change anything for us here in Malaysia for it has been proven time and times again that the aftermath of street demos and rallies is that, the people will still suffer when we do not have legal authority with us.

Only legitimate way to get that authority is through the General Elections. Don't you agree?

HINDRAF & BERSIH rallies - Signs of Malaysians Unhappiness with the BN!

So, it has come to pass. Two great rallies of the average Malaysians who aren't happy with the state of affairs concerning the way the BN is running this country!

I have been reading up on all the reports that Malaysiakini has been reporting on today's historic event and other sources of alternative news from citizen journalists @ bloggers who attended the HINDRAF rally this morning!

As we were returning to KL from Kuantan this afternoon, we went through a police roadblock at Lanchang, on the LPT @ East Coast Highway and another at the Gombak Toll Plaza. The police were screening out Indian motorists and thoroughly checked their cars for any weapons, etc.

I saw a particular Indian chap being stopped and checked at both areas. His car boot had several tripod stands and the police were questioning him very earnestly. I figure him to be a cameraman or something , based upon such items. Pity that things have come to this.

Racial profiling in our beloved Malaysia. I thought such things only took place in other countries. I have been proven wrong. My nation is no different. The reality is that my nation has a lot of stooges performing a jolly good show in national politics. We are entertained by them every now and then on live national tv. Beats Lawaking everytime.

Getting to the subject.

BERSIH stands for the demanding of a fair and clean General Elections this time around and demanding the Barisan Nasional Coalition Government of Malaysia to provide equal grounds of reaching out to the voting public as allowed and laid out by law.

By that, I understand that the Elections Commission is expected to be fair to all political parties by allowing equal access to the broadcasting facilities, such as fair and equal air time on national radio and television broadcasts or that each contesting registered political party be given police permits to hold peaceful public rallies.

We all know that the last time such a fair election situation was seen in this nation was way back in the 2nd GE in the early 60's.

Since then, the Alliance Party which later morphed into the Barisan Nasional had held a tight grip on power here in this multi ethnic, multi faithed country and has ruled as it pleases with little regard to the rights and allocations provided for each and every citizen in the British designed and written Federal Constitution of Malaya and now called Malaysia since 1963.

Today, the nation witnessed another mass rally by another group of Malaysians demanding the right to march and handover a memorandum to the British Government to compensate each and every Malaysian of Indian ethnicity financial awards amounting to trillions of ringgits for the former Colonial Masters 'failure' to ensure that the rights and liberties of its Indian subjects which it brought over from the Continent of India and left here in Malaya now called Malaysia, be upheld and given equal rights to live as rightful citizens of this Malaysian nation.

I say that one has every right to wish for this and that but one must also realize that not everything that one wishes for will be realized in one's lifetime or be allowed to achieve and enjoy as one pleases.

There are certain unwritten boundaries present in each and every human civilization that one must come to terms with and for us Malaysians, we need to wake up to the fact that as long as the will to change the status quo present in this country is not taken up by the entire citizenry, then such a demand or dream as what the members and supporters of HINDRAF have coined up and written a memorandum asking the British to compensate them in such an unprecedented and foreseen manner will remain just an ardent wish that is more of a whim than a rational reality in this world!

Ours is an enviable nation. We have been born here and grown up amongst various races and faiths yet have managed to survive for this long without a major inter-ethnic civil war amongst us for all these years due to the fact that each and every Malaysian has some what developed an inborn willingness to give face and accommodate each other without jumping to conclusions and start attacking each other based on idle rumors or incitements from agent provocateurs from all parties.

Each of us have friends from all ethnicities and we treasure such friends as much as we love our own selfs and families.

Malays, Indians, Chinese, Sikhs, Natives, Kadazans, Ibans, Muruts, Eurasians, etc have all grown up in relative peace with one another and have developed strong bonds amongst us that at times like these are put to tests by such racial and religious based issues and matters.

Read here about a fellow Malaysian Indian whose father and sister attended the HINDRAF rally share his story of how Muslims helped his sister and dad when they were teargassed. The Danesh Project.

It is such stories that reminds me that that not all Indians are to be lumped together as those who love nothing but to run amok on our roads without provocations from those paid to do so. We are all Malaysians but with different wants and needs. At least, we have to come to terms with that reality.

We are all the Children of Adam and deserve to be treated as such but in this land where we are ruled according to the color of our skin and the faith that we profess, naturally those who feel left out have seen such resentments in their hearts and minds take root many years ago and today, express themselves vocally, emotionally and passionately demanding that those who brought their forefathers here from India in the first place, attend to their cries for help and come to their cause of seeking financial help and support which they say the current regime of BN have failed to share with them.

One might be tempted to laugh and dismiss them off as idle daydreamers but today, blood has been spilled on our streets as a result of these 'daydreamers' willing to make their stand despite the grave mortal danger each and everyone of them face in standing up to the FRU and other security agencies of the ruling BN government.

Why is this taking place?

One needs to take a look at the root cause of their demands and source of unhappiness.

HINDRAF claims that they are not happy with the recent spate of demolitions of their temples by the local authorities of state governments such as the Shah Alam City Councils and those of the State of Selangor.

We need to look into the facts of such cases. Would the local authorities go and demolish legally registered places of worship as they please or is it due to the illegal establishments of temples and other houses of worships such as surau's, churches and other buildings that were raised on government owned lands or those belonging to private individuals yet failed to take into account of the prevailing rules and guidelines of such local authorities and religious departments or other agencies of the government in the first place?

If such establishments do not have the legal approvals of such authorities in the first place, how then are the temples or suraus, churches, etc to expect to be left alone and operate as they please without giving a hoot to the rule of law?

This is what every concerned Malaysian needs to look at!

Legal ownership. If the authorities came and demolished a house of prayer that had all the necessary permits and licenses in the first place, I am sure that not an agency or department can touch them.

Instead of being emotional, we need to be rational when handling a matter as sensitive and touchy as places of worship. People wouldn't be that bothered if it is a cinema or a restaurant.

We are talking about religious institutions. A mosque, surau, church or temple is very important to its frequenters.

Faith is the root of each individual's bastion of emotional, spiritual and mental wellbeing save for those who aren't believers in anything.

I hold responsible the ones who willfully went and built whatever illegal religious building in the first place without considering the fatal consequences of their irresponsible actions yesterday for the trouble we have brewing before us today!

These are the culprits who need to be brought forth and judged for their crimes against the citizens of this country.

I somewhat do not think that whatever it is we aren't happy about with the current BN government can be solved today by shouting slogans on the street or engaging with the riot squads of the government.

The General Elections is just around the corner. Unless the protest organizers have it in them to do a popular uprising such as what we saw take place in Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines, they should know better than to stoke the underlying raging fires of dissatisfaction by calling people to the streets and engage in such a volatile situation.

Is it fair to place the lives and safety of their fellow citizens and ethnicities at peril and face the FRU and other armed forces of the current regime by goading them to gather on the streets and roads of the capital and other major townships?

Until and unless , you can really change the situation overnight by such rallies, is it worth the sufferings and pain caused by the teargassing and acid water cannon blasts of the FRU upon unarmed Malaysian citizens?

Heads and skulls have been cracked bloody today. Legs and arms broken. Eyes and bodies inflicted with painful assaults by chemicals and baton beatings!

Has anything changed?

It hasn't, has there?

I understand the emotional despair of a people who have been marginalized. I have seen the wrongs perpetrated upon my fellow citizens due to different skin colors and ethnic origins.

I am sure that each and every true blue Malaysian knows this unfairness deep down in our hearts but until and unless each unhappy, dissatisfied citizen takes up the courage and makes the choice to vote for change in the legitimate General Elections, the current situation will remain just the same.

The GE. That is where you have the key to change your fate and that of your future and the way forward for this country.

You hold the key to your future and the kind of life you want.

Choose the wrong leader ; face the consequences. Malaysians have yet to wake up to their roles in determining who they want to see run the government here.

For a few measly ringgits, many have proven that they are willing to prostitute their future and that of their fellow Malaysians and returned the same old chaps into power , every GE since day one that this nation has come into being.

Whose fault is that?

Think.

HINDRAF's Issue - Questions from a Malaysian Indian

I refer to a string of questions that a blog commenter by the id of Anakmalaysia5 has asked me in relation to my blog article here.

I can understand the reason why many Malaysians do not dare to disclose their true identities for fear of repercussions from the ruling government agencies in form of disciplinary measures especially if the blog commenter's happen to be either government servants or students from colleges or universities regardless whether public or private.

So, I will answer this anonymous blog commenter's many questions on the basis that he or she has asked valid reasonable questions and ought to be accorded the proper responses befitting the objectives of such queries.

First and foremost, let me lay it down straight that these questions ought best be directed towards the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Abdullah Badawi himself for they touch on the fundamental social contract concerning the treatment of the government of the Non Malay ethnicities.

Nevertheless, as the commenter has directed such questions to me in my position as a blogger who writes concerning all things affecting us Malaysians in the socio-political-religious category, I will reply to these questions from my personal viewpoints.

Here are the questions.
  • My question is did this Malaysian Indians (referring to Ananda Krishnan and other notable Indian captains of industry) make their fortune here in their own motherland (Malaysia) or they had to go out of the country to build their empire?
Answer :

Well, as we all know, sometimes businesspersons like Ananda Krishnan and others like the owners of Eversendai Corporation have to venture forth to overseas markets because domestic political situations and conditions aren't feasible to them to make reasonable profits for them to remain in the black.

We all know that projects especially those that involve official decisions are fraught with all kinds of regulations and requirements that border on the impossible or will get entangled in official bureaucracy, bogging down their operations unlike situations abroad.

Corruption is also reported to be rife amongst our official government departments and agencies further driving away the major Malaysian Indian businessmen to go seek their fortunes elsewhere.

Ananda Krishnan has Mahathir to thank for in giving him many opportunities to build major infrastructures such as being involved in the KLCC project and also in other mega projects such as the Binariang Measat projects and also having control of Maxis, one of our nation's major telecommunications systems.

Same goes for other Malaysian Indians who had to go abroad to make money because the doors to opportunities here had the 'bumi' ; 'non bumi' access system.
  • Can you explain to me why all this corporate figures who are captains of big corporation have to go out of Malaysia to actually start their business and make their fortune at the first place?
Same answer as above.
  • If so why is that many educated Indian professionals leaving Malaysia and going abroad to build their career ?
Because they are looking for greener pastures and bigger incomes which are offered elsewhere and not available here.
  • If there is opportunity for the (Indian) youths to study at local higher learning institution why is that just less then 10% place given at the first place ?
You have to ask the Minister of Education about this. I don't make the rules here.
  • The core of all problem is obvious marginalization and the Indians are not being given their rights. There are still many talents who i won't be surprise can even create nuclear weapons or even next generation fuel out there which is working day and night so hard and they have never seen the light of opportunity. do we have the rights to show our talents and opportunity in our own motherland ?
Well, I sure would not want to support those who are geniuses but misuse their talent to go build nukes ...hehehehehe.. I know that you are just sort of giving a broad example but I understand your points. I know that many bright sparks amongst the Malaysian Indian community are losing out on opportunities because of official government policy. Such situations are beyond the control of people like us.

Samy Vellu and his MIC big wigs need to play a more active role in demanding this and that but as you know, the minister keeps thumping his chest like a bloody silverback and says he's not scared of anybody and that he's 71 years old and doesn't give a shit about young un's who dare question him?

As long as the Indians keep voting him and his cronies back into power year in, year out, no one's gonna shake him!

Subramaniam tried and got himself skewered. The IPF chap tried to blackmail Samy Vellu by carrying a coffin, etc but no sirree... big old Samy doesn't give a hoot!

So, you tell me, what can we or anyone else do about your people when you keep voting the fella back in?
  • Even if we help our own community right now ? Do you think the government will be sitting quietly there and say let the fellow Indians help their community to develop themselves and prosper. You may say I'm narrow minded by saying so, but that is the true fact not only you or any other Malaysian can deny.
Have you helped your community? Why should you bother about the government's reaction if you have it in you to help your people? Why should you bother?

If you can help your people, just do it bro! Don't worry about anyone else.
As the Nike ad says, " Just Do It!"
  • Lets look at Singapore. Singapore's majority population is Chinese. There are Indians and Malays living there. Are they being ripped of their rights or being marginalized? Opportunity is given to every citizen. Its up to them to choose and do what is best for them. Does it work the same way here in Malaysia ?
No point in asking me something that you already know in depth.
  • Lets again talk about corporate ethics, both Indians and the Chinese who work day and night to build their business empire. Why is there such law in Malaysia that says there should be a bumiputera partner in multinational or public listed corporation although he or she might not sweat to make the company expand ?
This law is one that the Parliament controlled by the majority of MP's approved and supported, including your MIC big boss and his MCA counterpart, Towkay Ong Ka Ting. If the Non Malay MP's didn't support the bill, it would not be there, right?
  • Will you be calling me racist because i highlighted that it is a must to have a bumiputera partner to do business in Malaysia ?
Nope. Why should I? You are just stating the facts here. No objections at all. It's what the BN has been practicing since they came into power.
  • You may say that all the above mention argument is not related to the topic being discussed here. But everyone of us need to understand just one thing here, only when a citizen have his or her rights and not being marginalized. Then he or she can lead a better life and the generation to come will have a much safe and better environment to live and grow.
I won't refute what you have said for these are all actual realities for us here in Malaysia.
  • It is easy for anyone to say lets not point fingers at others, but the circumstances is the cause for us to point the fingers is the true fact.
Yup. You need to have viable reasons to fight for. Any struggle needs to have legitimate causes in order to be successful. Hence, I believe that if properly handled and for a reasonable cause, the Malaysian Indians will be able to see an improvement in their future, provided they do not transgress the rights of others in the process.
  • Whether HINDRAF might have other agenda for what it is doing should not be made an issue now,the truth everyone needs to understand is they are advocating for the rights of the people who has been ripped of their rights and being marginalized.
This is where I need to point out that asking the British to come interfere in our internal affairs comes close to endangering the freedom and sovereignty of our country, is to me not a very wise thing to do, regardless whether it is the Malays, Indians or Chinese asking foreigners for help in dealing with our domestic policies.

That ends the Q & A session as far as Anakmalaysia5's queries to me are concerned.

I will be leaving for the East Coast tomorrow and returning on Sunday. I will miss taking pictures and videos of the HINDRAF rally to the British High Commission as I will be travelling but I would like to wish all Malaysian Indians the best in your cause.

Just make sure that no one gets out of hand and ends up getting hurt or worse. Life is what you make it to be. Doesn't mean that you have to be foolhardy and get yourself in the news for the wrong reasons. Listen to what your elders tell you in not endangering your lives by acting out of the norm and follow the organizers guidelines.

May justice be upheld and accorded to all of us the citizens of Malaysia. I personally don't see the British compensate any of their former subjects descendants for what took place centuries before.

The American Red Indian natives have a better chance in getting compensation from the US Government of today as well as the Australian Aborigines or the New Zealand Maoris than the Indians of Malaysia!

Anyway, sometimes, it is pointless to try advice anyone who have already made up their minds about anything and we should just let things fall into place on their own.

I surely will be following all the developments by catching up on the latest reports and live feed from Malaysiakini.

With their presence today, providing us truthseekers, all the latest straight from the people's news and reports without the usual bull spewed by the mainstream media, at last we all have true blue news and feedback free from official censorship and news distortion or made to order news as what is dished out by RTM or even TV3!

Thank you Steven Gan and Premesh Chandran. You guys rock!

We also need to thank Raja Petra Kamarudin for having the balls to go one on one with the current regime by updating us with his news reports and latest exposes in his Malaysia Today web portal.

So, Have a good rally! Taste the tear gas and acid baths, courtesy of the Barisan Nasional's FRU!

Whatever takes place this Sunday, I sure hope and pray that no one gets harmed at the end of the day.

Make some noise but also remember that this is our country. No one can deny us that! Period!

Go here to read what the Malaysian Indians are discussing about the HINDRAF rally issue.

HINDRAF 's Anti Malaysian Appeal to UK - Treason of the Highest Order?

I refer to the HINDRAF's action in asking the British Government and a whole list of other foreign nations leaders and other organizations in interfering into Malaysian Internal Affairs as highlighted in mymassa.com's web portal.

I reproduce below the contents of the HINDRAF's letter of appeal to the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown in it's entirety without any editing except for grammatical errors and layout of the paragraphs.

Please click here to see the referred website which has published the referred act of which might infer this act of HINDRAF to be that of treason against our nation?

You be the judge. Read through the entire contents of this appeal to outside forces to interfere in our nation's internal and domestic affairs. If this is not treason, what is it?

Anyone care to comment?

The Rt. Hon. Gordon Brown
Prime Minister of the United Kindom

London, URGENT

Dear Sirs,

RE: 1. COMMONWEALTH ETHNIC INDIAN PEACE LOVING SUBJECTS IN MALAYSIA PERSECUTED BY GOVERNMENT BACKED ISLAMIC EXTREMIST VIOLENT ARMED TERRORIST WHO LAUNCHED A PRE DAWN VIOLENT ARMED ATTACK AND DESTROYED THE KG JAWA MARIAMAN HINDU TEMPLE AT 4.00 A.M THIS MORNING (15.11.2007).

2. APPEAL FOR U.K TO MOVE EMERGENCY U.N RESOLUTION CONDEMNING “ETHNIC CLEANSING” IN MALAYSIA.

3. APPEAL TO REFER MALAYSIA TO THE WORLD COURT AND INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT FOR CRIMES AGAINST IT’S OWN ETHNIC MINORITY INDIANS.

We refer to the above critical matters in Malaysia but which generally gets the least attention locally even by the Opposition parties, NGO’s, the Malaysian Human Rights Commission and the media for this community is generally regarded as politically insignificant, do not draw local or international funding and are deemed not pressworthy. To the contrary the Malaysian government has successfully projected itself to the world as a modern Islamic thinking country which is not true.

The ethnic minority Indians in Malaysia were brought in to Malaysia by the British some 200 over years ago. Since independence in 1957 the Malaysian Indians have been permanently colonialised by the Islamic fundamentalist and Malay chauvinists UMNO led Malaysian government.

Among the recent atrocities committed by this government are as follows:-

1.100 over Indians were slashed and killed by the UMNO controlled Malaysian government in the Kampung Medan mini genocide. Despite numerous appeals, the Malaysian Human Rights Commission has refused to hold a Public Inquiry. The UMNO controlled Malaysian courts struck off a victim’s public interest civil suit for a Public Inquiry to be held without even the said UMNO controlled government having to file in their defence. The UMNO controlled Attorney General and the Inspector General of Police refused to investigate and / or initiate an inquest into the death of at least six Indians in this tragedy despite.

2. Every week one person at average is killed in a shot to kill policy and in every 2 weeks one person is killed in police custody. About 60% of these victims are Indians though they form only 8% of the Malaysian population.

3. In every three weeks one Hindu temple is demolished in Malaysia.

The latest being the demolishment of the Mariaman temple in Padang Jawa, Shah Alam, Selangor early this morning (15.11.2007) and the next being the (Mutaiya) Hindu temple in Sungai Petani scheduled for the 29.11.2007.

A violent armed pre down attack at 4.00a.m this morning was launched by the UMNO controlled Malaysian government backed by about 600 police, riot police, Islamic extremist and armed terrorists which completely destroyed this temple.

In an attack two weeks ago, uniformed police, riot police and city Council officers hurled rocks and attacked unarmed Hindu devotees with knives, sticks and iron rods
(see www.malaysiakini.com for pictures).

At least 20 Hindu devotees were seriously injured and 19 arrested including 4 of their United Kingdom trained lawyers in direct violation of Article 5 (Right to life) Article 8 (Equality) Article 11 (Freedom of Religion) Section 295 (defiling a place of worship), Section 296 (disturbing a religious assembly), 298A(causing racial disharmony) and Section 441(criminal trespass) of the Malaysian Penal Code.

These authorities are plagued by an above the law mindset and in fact liberally take the law into their own hands. These atrocities however does not happen to almost all Islamic places of worship. Please visit www.policewatchmalaysia.com for further and better particulars.

4. State sponsored direct discrimination against the Indians in Public University intakes, Indian (Tamil) Schools, skills training institutes, civil service and private sector job opportunities, business and license opportunities and in almost all other aspects of daily life.

Despite our hundreds of letters, appeals and pleas to the Malaysian King and Sultans, the Prime Minister, Attorney General, Inspector General of Police, Ministers, Chief Ministers and the latest being our letters to the Prime Minister dated 29.10.2007 and 30.10.2007 and to the Attorney General dated 1.11.2007 the Malaysian authorities are only proceeding with greater ferocity and with impunity with very little regard for the Federal Constitution and laws of Malaysia. So please help us.

CONCLUSION

We fear that this peace loving Indian community of Tamil origin having been pushed to the corner and the persecution getting worse by the day may be forced to into terrorism in a matter of time as what has happened to the Sri Lankan Tamils.

APPEAL

On our part we are committed to a peaceful and lawful struggle and pray and appeal that the Government of the United Kingdom:-

1. Moves an emergency United Nations resolution condemning these state sponsored atrocities and persecutions of Malaysian Indians in Malaysia.

2. Refers Malaysia to the World Court and the International Criminal Court for Crimes against it’s own ethnic minority Indians

Thank You,

*************************************************************************************

I understand that such an unprecedented move by HINDRAF could be an act of desperation and imagined fears of seeing their fellow Malaysian Indians suffering emotional, mental and physical pains especially in those who see no more reasons for them in waiting for Samy Vellu and his MIC party to do anything effectively for them to ease their poverty situation , illegal temples getting demolished, etc.

Please do not misunderstand that this blogger is anti-Indian or whatever for I regard all reasonable and rational Malaysians as my fellow citizens and wish everyone well.

The reason for me in raising this matter is because I worry that such a precedent might be like opening the doors for foreign powers to come invade us again in the name of human rights and all such crap that US President George Bush Jr. used to legitimize his objectives to invade and destroy Iraq!

His excuse was that Saddam Hussein had amassed weapons of mass destructions and posed a threat to the world especially to the United States of America and that Saddam had been torturing his people.

It is true that some Iraqis suffered under Saddam but today almost all Iraqis have had their families and selfs humiliated and personal liberties and lives destroyed by the very American forces whom they thought had come to deliver them from their hellish existence under Saddam only to find out too late today that the US is even worse than the hanged ex President of Iraq!

Imagine having your doors to your homes kicked in and your homes invaded by the invading American forces who violate and desecrate your privacy and stomp in all over your homes in their filthy boots and vulgar behaviors towards yourself , your wife, your children, your siblings, your parents, relatives etcetera under the claim of hunting down freedom fighters?

Yes, those whom the media terms and calls as 'insurgents' or 'terrorists' are but individual citizens of Iraq who have the courage and self honor to stop the illegal trespassing upon their lives and homes by the murderers in US Army uniforms who coldbloodedly terrorize a sovereign nation that was Iraq, rob, loot, rape and murder at will without an iota of conscience or compassion towards ordinary civilians in full view of the whole wide cuckolded world!

What kind of human rights are the Iraqis enjoying today? Millions of Iraqis have suffered and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians have been killed as a result of US invading and taking over the country!

To me, HINDRAF seems to be making a huge mistake that is akin to gambling with the entire Malaysians future by asking the former British colonialists to come invade us again in the name of democracy and human rights!

Is HINDRAF dead sure that the Brits will compensate them for the miseries the Indians here in Malaysia have suffered as a result of the British bringing over their forefathers to work in the rubber estates and build highways for Malaya back then?

Has Britain ever recompensated any of its former colony's for the brutalities it inflicted upon them and robbing the colony's riches and carting it all back home to England?

Has Britain recompensated India and its Maharajahs of yore for all the riches it stole from the Indian motherland?

Has Britain returned to India the Koh I Noor diamond and other priceless gems it keeps till this very day as part of the 'British Crown Jewels' when in fact it is known that such a treasure belongs to the Indian Moguls and the Republic of India ?

So, to me, it seems like HINDRAF is asking a known murdering robber to come into our home because it is so bloody afraid of the rascal little thieves in the BN Government?

Am I right or wrong in worrying this way?

Okay, let's focus on the main issues being raised by HINDRAF. Illegal temples demolitions.

The reality that thousands of illegal temples have mushroomed all over the nation and built without getting the consent of the local authorities is something that HINDRAF has to acknowledge and work together with the Malaysian Hindu Sangam and the Malaysian Indian Congress Party led by Samy Vellu, the Malaysian Works Minister to solve the problems domestically instead of resorting to an act that looks like a clear case of treason against Malaysia?

Pondering aloud, am I right in assuming that the building of illegal temples all over the country by irresponsible folks amongst the Malaysian Indian Hindu community looks like an agenda of getting alternative legalized sites for such temples when the local authorities come to demolish the said illegal temples as what took place in Penang's Kg.Rawa incident?

Is this a modus operandi of the very folks whom HINDRAF is championing, who go around and build temples here and there as they wish, knowing fully well that sooner or later, such temples will face demolishing by the local authorities and they will get an offer of alternative temple sites which will be granted and allocated to them in return, complete with the land titles and provided with all other necessary utilities?

From the way, this appeal has been worded, the whole world would jump to the conclusions that life here for Malaysians especially of those from the Indian community is a living hell or outlandish nightmare!

Are things really so terrible for the Malaysian Indians here that such an act of appealing to Britain by HINDRAF to come interfere in Malaysian internal affairs has to be their chosen way?

Can such an act go unheeded by the Malaysian Government?

Asma'ul Husna - 99 Most Beautiful Names of Allah

Listen to this beautiful rendition of the recitation of the Asma'ul Husna, the 99 Most Beautiful Names of Allah the Almighty.

Muslims are encouraged to recite the Asma'ul Husna as a form of Dhikr - Remembrance of Allah.

Those who recite the Asma'ul Husna with full sincerity and understanding of the significance of the meanings will find their lot in the Hereafter to be amongst those whom Allah has blessed with forgiveness.

Insya Allah.

Learn about Al Fatihah - The Opening Chapter of the Qur'an.

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh!

O Children of the Prophet Adam Alaihis Salam, Our Father and First Man created by Allah the Almighty Lord God who loves us so much that despite our mountains of misdeeds continues to shower upon us so much goodness and guidance by way of His Revelations to us throughout the annals of Time, culminating in the deliverance of the Final Testament of God to us through His Final Messenger, the Blessed Prophet Muhammad ibni Abdullah, His Chosen Mercy to all of us, the offspring of Saiyidina Adam Alaihis Salam and Our Mother , Saiyidatina Hawwa Radhiallahu Anha.

Listen to this beautiful Surah which is named 'Al-Fatihah' @ 'The Opening Chapter' of the Holy Al-Qur'an Al Kareem, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala's Complete Supreme Constitution and Guidance for all Mankind.

Replay the videoclip as many times as you need till you grasp the meanings and ways to recite it on your own. Insya Allah.

This Surah is recited by each and every Muslim, male and female in our daily prayers as a compulsory recitation at the start of every raka'at @ cycle of prayers, failing which our prayers are deemed null and void.

It is incumbent upon every rational human being who wants to learn as to how to pray and submit to his or her Creator to learn about and practice reciting this important Surah for it contains the gist of the entire 6,666 verses of the Holy Revelations of Almighty, Most Majestic and Merciful Allah, sent down to us as our constant guide and companion in our lives , here on Earth and Insya Allah, in the Hereafter as well.

The Surah begins with the salutation and glorification of Allah by reciting the following:

A'uuzu billah hi mi nasy syaitan nirr raa jiim.
I take refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan (who is pelted upon).

Bismillah hirr Rahmann nirr Rahiim.
In the Name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.

  • Alhamdulillah hi Rabbil Aalamin.
All praises be to Allah, Lord (Cherisher, Sustainer) of all the Worlds.

  • Arr Rahmann niir Rahiim.
Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.

  • Maalikii Yaumm mid Deen.
Ruler ( Master) on the Day of Judgment.

  • 'Iiyaa Qanak Buduu Waa Iiiyaa Qaa Nas Taa 'Iin.
Only to You Do we Submit to, Only to You Do we Seek ( Help)

  • 'Iih Dii Nass Siiraatal Mustaqimm
Guide us to the Straight Path ( Way of Life)

  • Siiraatal lazii Naa Aan Aam Taa Alaihimm
The Straight Path ( Way of Life) that You have showed to those before us.

  • Ghairill Maghdubii Alaihimm ; Waaladh dhaa linn
Not the Way of those who went astray ; or those who are accursed.

Aamiin.

Amen.

Elaboration of the Meanings of the Surah above.

When we start by reciting the 'Ta'aa wuzz' which is : A'uuzu billah hi mi nasy syaitan nirr raa jiim. meaning 'I take refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan (who is pelted upon), we are asking for the protection of Our Lord, Allah the Almighty from Satan, one of His Creations.

Satan can't harm us when we ask sincerely for protection from Allah against Satan's influences provided we have come to establish a level of belief in Allah that is absolute and we remain steadfast in such belief.

Satan himself is but a created being of Allah who can't do anything to those who are absolutely firm believers of Almighty Allah. This firmness of belief in God is a stage of having faith in Allah that can never be breached by anything that happens to the Muslim.

This kind of faith is called 'Iman' in Islam.

When we have learned about Islam and learned about who we are and what we are capable of in living life as a believing Muslim, that sort of faith embellishes in our self, a level of faith and belief in Allah that can't be shaken by whatever good or bad that takes place in our individual life.

Those of us who are living as Muslims today, and have come to acquire a level of faith that is as below is one who is truly appreciated and respected as described by the Final Messenger of Allah, Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam as referred to here in this authentic hadith:

Hadith 1:20

Narrated Anas Radhiallahu Anhu:

The Prophet said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will taste the sweetness of faith:

1. The one to whom Allah and His Apostle become dearer than anything else.

2. Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's sake.

3. Who hates to revert to disbelief (Atheism) after Allah has brought (saved) him out from it, as he hates to be thrown in fire."

Such a faith is to be appreciated and cherished by those who are Muslims and must help their fellow Muslims and other children of Adam to acquire such knowledge as to what a Muslim believes in and to what extent?

It can't suffice for me here to describe to you what Iman is in a few short paragraphs. Iman @ Faith is acquired over time and with understanding.

Understanding of Islam is important for those of us who are living here in Malaysia where even though there are other faiths and ethnicities living amongst us, those who aren't Muslims or even those who have been born as Muslims but do not know in depth about Islam to make efforts to learn and study their faith.

Ignorance serves no one any purpose and it is an obligation upon those of us who have come to understand even a wee bit about Islam to share with others what Islam is and what it is not!

There are many out there who are only raring to find fault with others or with me as to what I am sharing here but sincerely, it makes no difference to me for I am steadfast in my understandings of Islam and Alhamdulillah ( All praises be to Allah), am able to realize my plus and minus points in my person that I need to work upon.

It's a lifelong struggle, believe me. As long as I do not go astray from His Way, I am content to live life as I get and to help share a few morsels of 'Ilm with those of you who care to come visit my blog here. Jazakallah ( Thanks be to Allah)!

Continued after this.

Malaysian Hospital's Post Surgical Momento - Have a free forceps!

Malaysian hospitals never fail to set outstanding records for the wrong reasons nowadays.

Such records however almost always never make it to our national mainstream media because of the embarrassing achievements by our bumbling surgical teams operating from the government hospitals.

Really! Chances are that if you opt to have yourself operated on in the government hospitals, there is a very good chance of you getting an extra gift in the form of surgical instruments to carry home in your person.

We have heard of horror stories of patients discovering a forgotten piece of cotton swab, suture needles, tubings and other surgical items being absent mindedly stitched into their persons by worn out surgical teams in such government hospitals before but this unbelievable post surgical discovery by Malaysian nurse Madam Kalaiyarasi Perumal, 44, from Johor Bahru found out after 49 days of undergoing a hysterectomy surgery at Hospital Sultanah Aminah that a 20cm long surgical steel pair of artery forceps had been left in her stomach by the surgical team who operated on her, surely breaks all previous records of Malaysian General Hospitals surgical blunders!

I don't know about you but it gives me the shivers all over my body to even imagine the horrendous pain and sufferings this poor lady must have gone through?

When I read this report from The Electric New Paper, the term 'shiver me timbers' couldn't even come close to imagining the terrible pain Madam Kalaiyarasi Perumal went through for all those 49 long days and nights!

She surely has every legal grounds available in the book to sue the balls off the hospital and its surgical team for the unbelievable surgical blunder that I have heard happening here for quite a long, long time!

How can a surgical team forget such a big piece of instrument that surely must have been accounted for before starting the operation and how did the team close up on her without accounting for the missing pair of 20cm long stainless steel forceps?

If this blunder had taken place in the USA or UK, the surgical team would definitely have been punished by their legal system and millions of dollars be compensated to her, but since this catastrophe took place in 'tidak apa land', Madam Kalaiyarasi can only make do with a lame 'I am sorry' by the superstar who operated on her and left her a special Deepavali gift!

A gift that made her suffer endless excruciating bout of continuous vomiting and writhing in pain all those 49 miserable days and nights.

I say to Madam Kalaiyarasi 'Teach those blundering team a lesson'. There are certain things you could just forgive and forget but such a blunder?

No way jose!

UPM Chinese Student's Hassle - What seems to be the trouble there?

Thanks be to Malaysiakini for providing us this revealing video interview of another UPM Chinese student who has been hauled up by the UPM Security Department on the 22nd of August, 2007 on charges of being anti-establishment and other charges that he has been accused of?

I am perplexed as to what is taking place in UPM?

Instead of being renowned for academic achievements, this Malaysian university seems hellbent in achieving a different kind of records that is actually not something to be proud of?

UPM surely stands as the top candidate for the Malaysian university which has had the most cases of hassling it's own students especially the Malaysian Chinese ones.

I have learned that there exist two camps of Chinese students there in UPM. One representing students who are there just to study and graduate in whatever fields they are studying in and another that is prone to protest and demonstrate on behalf of opposition political parties especially from the DAP.

The UPM university administrators must either be having nightmares handling these volatile group of Chinese students and try to nip such student activism in the bud thus coming out seeming to be anti-Chinese or just have some hidden agenda brewing within its campus grounds.

Is there any special category for the Malaysian university with the most student problems?

UPM sure seems to be the top running candidate for such a category if there is one?

Would sure appreciate any feedback from the UPM students reading this.

Please let us know what is the real deal there regarding these constant hassling of the Chinese students there?

Singapore Truly Unique but could be a bit more Muslim friendly!

I refer to the ongoing Visit Singapore Campaign being broadcasted every now and then on our television screens.

No doubt today's Singapore is a far cry from what the island republic was when I was working there from 1980 to 1986 and I was totally lost when I was there recently.

Everything has changed and the republic is truly a well developed island with first class infrastructures and equally charming citizens to boot.

Singaporeans are well behaved and they do not litter as most Malaysians do. The expressways are good and well connected to most of the housing estates and traveling is a breeze.

The Singapore economy has grown so tremendously that today its currency is quite stronger than our Malaysian ringgit.

When I was working there in the 80s, the exchange rate was S$1.00 = RM1.40. Today a Singapore Dollar is worth RM2.30 and quite steady in the daily forex fluctuations.

Tens of thousands of Malaysians commute to the island republic daily to work there from Johor Bahru, a city that is so chaotic and disorganized compared to the Republic of Singapore with its well maintained, first world infrastructure and first world working mentality of its Immigration and Police Force as well.

You can immediately sense the contrast of standards between Singapore and JB the minute you drive towards the Causeway and approach the Malaysian Customs and Immigration Border Checkpoint.

No one bothers to really check your vehicle at the Malaysian side and the Malaysian Immigration officers are hidden from the public's view with their boarded up aluminium panels or some other piece of cardboard sheet.

There is only a small opening at the drive by counter from which you hand over your passport (if there is anyone manning the counter).

When I first went through the Malaysian checkpoint in the early morning, most of the Immigration counters were unmanned and everyone just passed through to the Causeway without having our passports chopped.

It was really shameful to me to see the lack of professionalism on our side where the Malaysian Customs and Immigration seemed non existent on that particular morning and then on the subsequent mornings, I was appalled to find beggars standing between the lines of vehicles heading to Singapore, right there at our nation's border checkpoint!

Imagine that! What a bloody embarrassment for this country which boasts of having the world's tallest twin towers and many other infrastructural achievements to allow beggars and vagrants messing up our nation's image at the very visual border checkpoint with South East Asia's most developed island republic!

The beggars looked like Vietnamese or Burmese chaps and had missing arms or legs, standing right smack in the middle of the lines of vehicles heading towards the causeway! Motorists had to drive away from them to avoid bumping into those beggars.

Amongst the motorists were lots of Singaporean returning home after visiting our nation and probably after filling up their petrol tanks to the max. A liter of unleaded petrol in Singapore costs S$1.79 @ RM4.11. I saw lots of Singapore registered vehicles fueling up at the JB petrol stations. You can call them 'kiasu' ; call them this and that but to me they were just being smart!

The roads at the Malaysian Customs and Immigration checkpoint were dirty and had potholes waiting to trap any unsuspecting motorist who failed to notice them and have their car tires drop in to those potholes, damaging the alignment of their vehicles.

Isn't this embarrassing for us?

Aren't Malaysian Government officials passing through these dilapidated and sorry looking checkpoints?

Doesn't anyone care?

The embarrassing scenario continues right through to our part of the Causeway. Dirt and trash litter the sides of our causeway up to the middle part where Singapore controls their side.

Voila! No more litter, no more trash. It's as if everything changes right from the middle part of the causeway.

You immediately come into the land of discipline and order.

Everything and everyone seems to be a role model of good work ethics and adhering to a strict and applaudable standard of efficiency.

You will see able bodied, smartly dressed, automatic weapons toting young Singaporean soldiers and border guards, vigilantly monitoring each and every vehicle and its occupants driving up into the republic.

All sorts of cameras monitor and scrutiny each automobile and transport coming in. The number plates of every vehicle is scanned and flashed onto a large rectangular display board, recording each entry of vehicles arriving.

You sense the total contrast in standards of law enforcement between our lackadaisical JB Malaysian side and the impressive Singaporean standards.

You can call me a bloody Singapore lover or whatever but damn..I really hope to see our nation emulate what the Singaporeans have done and are doing!

If Malaysians can just copy 20% of the Singaporeans work ethics and sense of commitment to their jobs, our country will improve by leaps and bounds as far as development is concerned.

But that will remain a dream because we are too damn proud to acknowledge what Singapore has achieved. We threaten to cut off water supply to the Singaporeans every time we have a misunderstanding with them or are caught in a tussle with them about land matters.

Don't just take my word for it. Go, make a trip down south of the peninsular and see how things are over there at the JB border checkpoints and then venture into the Republic of Singapore and get a taste of what we could enjoy and live in if only we can learn to emulate their working habits and lifestyles.

For all the developments that Singapore has achieved in terms of infrastructure and raising the standards of their lifestyles, I found some minor areas which the Government of Singapore need to give serious and immediate attention to especially with their ongoing campaign to woo Malaysians to visit their republic.

Singaporean toilets do not have washing facilities for Muslims and Asians. There are no bidets. No taps with hoses for us to wash up after using the toilets.

It may seem to be a trifle matter but for Muslims from Malaysia who are used to have running water to cleanse ourselves after relieving ourselves, it is a major discomfort and annoyance.

I asked a few Singaporean Malays as to how they handled such a lack of water hoses or bidets in the public restrooms?

They answered that they try their level best to hold it in till they reach their homes or if they really have to go, to resort to buying bottled mineral water to use in cleansing themselves!!!

Really inconvenient I must say!

Singapore Tourism Board. If you folks are reading this, please take note of this matter. It may not seem that serious to you but to us Malaysians, we love to wash up with water. Toilet paper might be handy but nothing beats using water! :D

Another major problem.

The 'Halal' aspect.

One example. Attempt to dine at IKEA Singapore.

I had to forego eating the famous Swedish meatballs at IKEA Singapore Tampines dining area for the food there wasn't halal. You need to seriously rectify this matter because we can't eat food that is not halal.

I saw the sign showing 'Chicken and Pork' with no segregation of the food offered for sale there.

IKEA Damasara had a similar non halal problem before due to the supplier's non conformity with the standards for halal food by our JAKIM @ Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia.

IKEA Malaysia however recognized the tremendous damage to their company's operations if they didn't rectify the halal food issue and they promptly acted upon it.

They carried out the 'samak purification' procedures on their entire kitchen area and cooking utensils plus dishes and ensured that the meatballs and sausages were supplied from halal vendors.

Today, Malaysians eat at IKEA Malaysia with full confidence and business is booming for IKEA there.

Surely you have Muslims in Singapore?

How come that MUIS @ Majlis Ugama Islam of Singapore failed to act upon this serious breach of social responsibility there?

If Singapore can solve these two main areas of discomfort for us Malaysian Muslims, you'd find our arrivals to holiday in your garden island republic increase tremendously!

It's not really that hard to accomplish compared to the outstanding achievements that you have done to your excellent island!

Water hoses or bidets in your restrooms and set up the 'Halal' requirements in all your food courts and restaurants.

We would be happy to visit Singapore again and again as we please.

Success is to be shared and enjoyed by all of us. Malaysians and Singaporeans are joined by our common roots and values.

We Malaysians can learn from you as to how best to develop our nation up to the best standards of government and lifestyles as what you have achieved and you Singaporeans can learn from us as to how to make life comfortable for us Muslims and other Asian traditional values appreciating people.

Through teamwork we strive ; higher productivity and sensitivity to each other's needs will see us thrive.

Don't you agree?

Majulah Singapura dan Majulah Malaysia! Bersama sama menuju bahagia!

BERSIH Fair and Clean Elections Coalition - Troublemakers?

Are the following organizations who make up the BERSIH Coalition for a Fair and Free General Election this time around, anti-social useless troublemakers?
From the manner by which the Barisan Nasional Coalition Government of Malaysia and their group of lackeys seem to be saying, the entire group of concerned Malaysians above must surely be the worst amongst us, the people of Malaysia who are unfairly asking for a fair and clean General Elections?

We who support the above must surely be ungrateful citizens who do not know how to appreciate the BN's gift to the people recently and in all other past demonstrations and protests rallies, which are the costly tear gas and acid laced water cannon baths provided free of charge to those who dared oppose the squeaky clean administration of the blessed one with the halo above his freaking head and planet Earth's latest super duper innovator of the already perfect and completely revealed in its entirety Islamic faith!

When I watched the Aljazeera's video clips of the interview of Khairi Jamaludin, UMNO Youth's Deputy Chief, Nazri Aziz, Minister of Parliament and Legal Affairs and Malik Imtiaz Sarwar, the 'Human Rights' advocate and one of Lina Joy's advocate being questioned about the BERSIH rally's implications and causes, I can't help but notice the recalcitrant stand by Khairi and Nazri who keep echoing each other's stand that the current BN system is perfect and not in need for any corrective measures!

I mean, should we even be bothered to listen to the two who are bloody infamous for their rude and uncouth manners of responding to Malaysians demands for a fair and clean government?

The barbaric responses by these two has been highlighted many a times before by the media especially the alternative ones, here online.

Remember Khairi's antics in the Ijok and Machap by-elections?

Nazri's rants and raves in Parliament where he rudely blasts away at the Malaysian Opposition?

I mean, it would be acceptable if he counters the Opposition leaders and MP's in a manner befitting his position as the Minister in charge of Parliament and the Malaysian Law Minister but the way he spews forth derogatory terms at the elderly Opposition leaders and other MP's makes one wonder how the hell did this bloke get elected in the first place?

Crass gutter behavior best suited for those who have no quality upbringing and usually associated with the characteristics of drunkards and drug addicts, I must say!

If these are the representatives of the BN and chosen to be the BN's spokespersons, well start counting the days of the demise of the BN from the corridors of power in Putrajaya.

Who in his or her right mind would vote for these chaps?

Back to the subject matter.

Malaysians must learn not to swallow hook, line and sinker what the national media organizations are dishing out to us, day in , day out as we get nearer to the General Elections.

Do not underestimate the power of suggestive reporting and broadcasting which is being put to practice earnestly by the nation's main media.

Unlike the years and times of before, we have with us today, the internet which is not under the will or control of the current regime until and unless they shutdown the Internet Service Providers operating from within the nation and block access to all the wireless internet relaying services and servers remains to be a wonderful source of information to all.

Malaysians must learn to look at both sides of the sources of information and the validity of any such news, reports and articles using their common sense and be able to differentiate between fact and fiction.

Remember, in today's multimedia and superior information technological advancements , the truth can be distorted and republished as they please and lies be made out to look as the real thing!

Learn to look up and read from Malaysiakini and Malaysia Today, as well as the numerous blogs listed at Petaling Street.org, our nation's foremost blogging portal where bloggers like me ping to notify readers like you of our latest postings.

Learn to pick and choose the 'grain from the chaff' and update yourself as to who's telling the truth and who's pulling a fast one on you.

Experience is the best teacher, they say and I am sure that by now, you surely know as to whether BERSIH are really the troublemakers that the BN are accusing them to be and whether the Agong did really issue that statement denying his consent to the people's rallying to meet him or his representative last Saturday, the 10th of November, 2007?

As far as this blogger is concerned, I say that the truth will prevail no matter what. Let the liars lie for they will be judged before the Almighty Allah, come Judgment Day. Insya Allah.

As to BERSIH, I say this " Sweep away the lies and the dirt choking the life out of our Malaysian government and judiciary.

May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala support the righteous ones! Ameen."

Malaysian Photojournalist (new) requirement -Master Self-Defense!

I refer to this sickening turn of events in our Malaysian political scene as reported by Jeff Ooi and photos provided by the Malaysia Chinese Photojournalists Association of a Malaysian photojournalist being punched up by the Cheras UMNO members who didn't like the presence of the Cheras DAP MP Tan Kok Wai who dared to hold a press conference in the 'lion's den' @ UMNO Cheras Headquarters at Jalan Peel, recently!

Photo shows the Cheras UMNO members roughing up DAP MP Tan Kok Wai ( the one in white) and the others.
They say that a picture is worth thousands of words. What other evidence do the police need to press charges against the assaulter here? As clear as it can be!

Another clear shot of the punching of the photojournalist! The Malaysian Chinese photojournalists are really good! They get the best shots and freeze frame it so clearly!

"Ah Wai aa! What the hell were you thinking? Purposely looking for your ass to be kicked, eh?"

Sometimes, MP's can do the most stupid things in their day to day political agenda.

Anyway, let's get to my main points. The new requirement for Malaysian photojournalists.

Those who are thinking of becoming a photojournalist here in Malaysia, must seriously go and master any form of self defense!

Really! I am not joking. It could be a case of your life or death!

From the way things are unfolding before us here in this calm in the mainstream media, stormy realities surfacing in the alternative news portals, I can't help but pity those who are photojournalists trying to get a media scoop in the fast turning volatile Malaysian political climate for having to suffer punch up's by the nation # 1, master political party!

Cheras UMNO members must have been practicing quite hard at the punching bags and now have proven to the unfortunate Guangming Daily photojournalist Koh Chun Seng that he seriously needs to go master Shaolin Kung Fu, Jeet Kune Do or any other martial arts before venturing out on his next assignment!

I suppose that business is going to pick up for all of our nation's martial arts centres after this episode and the world of Silat, Kung Fu, Tae Kwan Do, Karate, Kalari Payat in Malaysia will be experiencing a surge of revival in the interests of the media industry folks who have now no other options but to take self protection very seriously!

Polytikus @ Soon Li Tsin, my blogging friend and Malaysiakini journalist, please go and learn to kick ass as part and parcel of your job requirements now. We don't wanna hear of you getting roughed up as we can see how rough the next GE's campaign is going to be!

Malaysian photojournalists will now need to ask their respective news companies extra allocation for self-defense classes.

What about body armor and other paraphernalia of self protection?

Is the physical threat to our journalists going to force them to be suited up like the FRU when they have to out on assignments as the GE draws nearer?

GERAK GEMPUR by the BN surely is being practiced literally and from the looks of it, the fellas surely mean it!

Looks like as Malaysians pass the 50th anniversary of our nation's Independence, the political scenario however seems to return to the days of old when power was attained from battles fought out in the arenas where gladiators whacked each other senseless and had to kill each other so that their political masters had their way over the masses!

I guess, that we will just have to go with the flow! Whatever will be, will be.

Anyway, I do hope that those of us Malaysians who love this country learn to appreciate the peace that we have now and stop resorting to fisticuffs!

It's not right! Try to practice diplomacy and common sense. The DAP MP must be reprimanded by the DAP Central Committee for foolishly putting himself and others life's at risk by going to hold his press conference in the Cheras UMNO's Headquarters to condemn them!

If that is not purposeful provocation, what cock and bull excuse is Tan Kok Wai going to give for his stupid choice of location for the press conference?

Agenda Daily, however has a different view to what took place there. Click here to read their side of the incident. Agenda Daily is an UMNO web news portal. So you get to read both sides and draw your own conclusions.
UMNO Cheras Secretary Mohd Idrus Mohd Isah explains that he and other UMNO Cheras members saw the DAP Cheras MP bringing several reporters and photojournalists to their place and heard Tan Kok Wai pass some remarks that were insulting and thus had to go confront the trespassing DAP MP and ask him to leave the place to avoid unnecessary trouble.

We need to be fair and listen to both sides, don't you think so?

This is the UMNO Cheras Headquarters which was the place of the incident where the DAP Cheras MP went looking for trouble!

Surely, he went there seeking a confrontation with the UMNO members as he had uttered condemning words at UMNO and its leaders in the presence of the mainly Chinese news reporters and photojournalists who had laughed at his comments which touched on Altantuya, Najib, UMNO being corrupt and other sensitive matters!

Talk about stirring the hornets nest! Kok Wai surely asked for it and the photojournalist got caught in the fray! Clear case of intentional provocation by Kok Wai and group.

The police reports made by the assaulted Guangming Daily photojournalist.

Koh Chun Seng,
Learn from this episode and avoid unnecessary harm to yourself by checking out the location of the press conference. If you see the location to be hazardous to your personal safety and health, advice the unwise person who called for the press conference to adjourn to other safe locations.

Hope you brush up on your Chinese Kung Fu too and get well soon!

Agong's 'Statement'. Won't believe it till I see and hear His Majesty on live tv!

Can we believe the mainstream media's broadcast that the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin regrets that the BERSIH rally organizers misused his name and purported consent for the people to march to his palace and handover the BERSIH memorandum for a fair and clean General Election which is due to be held soon?

For all we know, the King might not even have issued such a statement as expressed by Malaysia Today's Editor in Chief Raja Petra Raja Kamarudin in his alternative web news portal here!

Raja Petra tells us of something that not many Malaysians were aware that the Royal Malay Regiment had 10 armored vehicles full of soldiers roll in from their base at Sg.Petani, Kedah and stationed at Sg.Buloh, Selangor ready to move in to the KL city and take care of the police if they had gone ahead and shot any of the protesters as what took place in the Batu Buruk, Kuala Terengganu BERSIH rally!

Damn! What an expose!

You need to really feed your mind with alternative news from Malaysia Today and Malaysiakini in order to balance your conclusions about whatever is being reported by the mainstream 'toeing the line' Malaysian media.

So, to me, hearing about this 'regret' of the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong about BERSIH misusing his royal name to add legitimacy to the held rally is somewhat not so convincing to me.

I will only believe that the Agong does not consent to the attempt by the Malaysians who marched to the National Palace if His Majesty speaks to us so live on National TV.

If it is proven by such a broadcast that the Agong does not support the people's rally to see His Majesty in demanding for a fair and clean GE this time around, then what I concluded that the people are wasting their time seeking royal help to correct the wrongs being perpetrated by the current BN regime will be justified.

If His Majesty proves me and millions of similar thinking Malaysians wrong by coming to the people's cause and clears the confusion being propagated by the kowtowing mainstream media we know are capable of pulling a fast one on us all by broadcasting what Putrajaya wants us to read, hear and believe, then I would have no qualms to apologize to His Majesty for doubting him.

As it is, I just can't accept what the mainstream media has dished out to us saying that our Agong regrets tens of thousands of his subjects marching in the rain to come seek his royal blessings in support of their demand for a fair and free elections, once and for all!

Let the Agong speak to us live on national television and clear away the webs of deception being spun on us by the media mouthpieces of the Be End!

Post BERSIH Rally - Sweep away the Abdullah Badawi regime with broom time!

Is it a coincidence that Selangor Menteri Besar Dr.Khir Toyo was 'inspired' to come up with the 'broom award' for incompetent local councils as a way to insult them publicly into action?

Well, it seems that the 'broom award' can also backfire on our dentist Selangor Chief Minister who is not exactly 'squeaky clean' himself when it comes to questionable practices especially when it concerns his 'double standards' in dealing with the scandal riddled Klang Exco Datuk Zakaria with his 'illegal palace' in the rural village area of Pandamaran which the 'broom award giver' recently graced with his presence at Zakaria's Hari Raya feast!

The broom also signifies that it is high time for the Malaysian voting public to sweep away all the current regime's candidates into the trash bins of this nation's political tyrants and despots without fail for their messing up the country with all their unchallengeable misdeeds condoned by the uncleanest of them all, the formerly celebrated Mr.Clean, PM Abdullah Badawi and his team of 'janitors' who make up the sweep the nation's assets clean, cabinet.

The question is, do Malaysians have it in them to do the sweeping and spring cleaning of our Parliament and Senate?

Temple Demolitions Issue - MIC and HINDRAF need to pow wow!

Generally, most Malaysians view the recent spate of Hindu temples demolitions with concern just as we feel enraged when we hear of some surau's, masjid's and churches being torn down for failing to get permits from the local authorities.

Religion is a very sensitive issue for most of us and the places of worship naturally hold a special place in our respective hearts.

As a Muslim, I would be ready to defend my faith's places of worship with my life if I have to and I believe that the Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs, etcetera would do the same when it comes to their own abodes of faith or beliefs.

The video above shows a mosque that was built without the permission from the Terengganu State Religious Department being demolished by the local authorities.

Surely such a tragedy could have been averted if the masjid's founding committee members had got all the permits and clearances from the authorities settled in the first place.

The particular mosque was built by PAS members whilst the local authorities were made up of the BN government especially by those from UMNO, their dire political arch enemies! Hence, the disaster!

I do however feel that it is a basic duty of whoever sets out to build and establish a place of worship no matter that it be a surau, masjid, church or temple to make sure that he or she owns the land upon which they intend to set up the place of worship and that building such a religious establishment does not run foul of any existing local laws, rules or regulations.

When a committee of any faith goes ahead and establishes a surau, masjid, church, temple or gurdwara without getting all the licences, permits and clearances from the relevant authorities, this is what the consequences are for the illegal building.

Mental anguish, heartaches, pain, suffering and even physical assaults inflicted upon the guardians of any of those places due to skirmishes between them and the enforcement squads of the local authorities!

Whom should we blame for all this unnecessary sufferings?

I say, that it is the founding committee members of such illegal establishments who should be prosecuted and taken action against!

As a result of their criminal actions in establishing a place of worship not sanctified by law, they put the life's of the religious building's attendees in danger and ought to be taken to task for failing to safeguard and ensure that they have acquired the permits to build upon such lands in the first place.

Nowadays, it has become a trend for such ill intentioned committees to willfully go ahead and build and illegal temple or other religious structure with full knowledge that when such illegal buildings get demolished, they will be given or offered a lawful reallocation site to build their religious establishment.

The government ought to investigate and stop being made into gullible fools and fall victim to such a scam.

All Malaysians ought to understand that we are living in a multi faithed, multi ethnic society.

Any new religious buildings in our already established social network and neighborhoods must take into consideration, the ensuing social repercussions that will arise if a particular religious establishment is erected in an area that has adherents of other faiths in the majority over there.

In the video above, we can see clearly that the temple was built in an area that had its adherents in the majority and thus the only thing we need to question is whether the land owner had given his consent or applied to the local authorities for the necessary permits?

To ensure that future situations do not arise, I gather that MIC and HINDRAF plus the Malaysian Hindu Sangam ought to sit together and pow wow over this temples matter so that no more controversies break out when the relevant authorities are compelled to act as a result of complaints from the landowners are lodged and reported against such illegal establishments!

No point in blaming this minister or that minister for the crimes of such illegal founding committees of whatever faith who started the whole scandal in the first place!

The founding committee members are the ones who should be sought out and charged for the crimes of endangering society and their fellow worshipers! No doubts about it!

Strength of the Muslim Ummah - A visual presentation

These videos show briefly how Islam came to illuminate the life's of mankind who were living in an era of darkness as a result of having neglected the Call of Tauhid by our earlier Prophets and Messengers of Allah the Almighty and how through the teachings of the final Messenger of Allah Azza Wa Jalla, the dwellers of the deserts of Arabia were blessed with the honor of being the host nation in which Allah the Almighty raised amongst them, the noblest of mankind and the Mercy of Allah to all the Children of Adam, Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam.

These videos are part of a series of videos that have been produced by capable Muslims to help spread the truth of Islam to all rational beings in the world.

Mankind today is fortunate to have before them all kinds of latest technologies and availability of multimedia data and information on demand.

By way of the spreading of these videos and other materials, it is our hope that Muslims and Non Muslims will be able to learn about the glorious past in order to be able to prepare for the challenges of the evolving future.

Seek knowledge and help spread the same for all people in order that the truth of Islam be shared and known by all.

Muslims are divided today because their leaders are egoistic individuals who refuse to give way to the reunion of the Ummah due to their self interests and fear of losing their temporal positions of power and access to the nation's wealth and privileges of holding office.

This malady creeps into the hearts and minds of the ones who trumpet aloud their achievements whilst failing to address the immediate needs to help the suffering souls throughout the Muslim world.

These perpetrators of criminal breach of trusts of the Muslim Ummah adorn themselves with the decorations and titles of this pretentious world whilst conveniently overlooking the reality of pain and death plaguing the ancient lands of Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Kashmir, Chechnya and other lands where Muslims are being decimated by the day as a result of being occupied by the forces of the Kuffar!

The Organization of Islamic Conference, supposedly the protectors and saviors of the Muslim Ummah have done nothing to address the massacre of Muslims in all those countries mentioned.

In Malaysia, injustice takes place amidst the theatrics of governing to 'Islamic principles'.

There is no such thing as 'Islam Hadhari' in the teachings of the Final Messenger of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and in the Holy Qur'an.

Yet we have amongst us here today, those who call themselves as 'scholars of Islam' who shamelessly give their support to the innovation brought about by the weakest of leaders of the Muslims and they join him in his deviations.

Muslims are already divided into so many schools and mazhabs resulting in the further weakening and destruction of the Muslim Ummah.

Amidst the destruction and the renaissance of the Age of Jahilliyah amongst the present day Muslims, voices of those who are courageous and steadfast in the Way of True Islam, break through and make themselves heard using the advent of technology such as the good usage of this internet medium.

Seek the truth of Islam and join forces with the righteous ones who are fighting purely for the sake of Allah and their fellow Muslims in ensuring that the Voice of Truth is not lost amongst the trials and tribulations facing the Muslims today.

May Allah unite us all in the path of truth and goodwill. Ameen.

The Hope and Do'a of Righteous Muslims all over the world.

The above video is a beautifully produced visual presentation of the hope and prayers of all Righteous Muslims, all over the world.

May Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala grant us His Forgiveness and Blessings to absolve us from our mistakes and guide us to His Path of Salvation.

Ameen Ya Rabbal Alameen.

Deaf, Dumb and Blind OIC towards Muslims Sufferings

Judging from how the Kuffar have destroyed the holy lands of the anbiya's and awliya's of the Muslim Ummah especially in the nation of Iraq, where the Sahabah of Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam once lived and where the Caliphate of Islam once thrived in the ancient cities of Baghdad and other historic cities, one can't help but agree with what the narrator of these videos is saying!

Muslims today are at the lowest levels of humiliated people because we have ruling over us the weakest, cowardly, irresponsible ones who shamelessly call themselves as our leaders and 'amir's who propagate bida'ah and indulge themselves in the luxuries and pleasures of this world, conveniently ignoring the suffering masses of Muslims in the Middle East and other parts of the world.

These fighters whom we see in the videos are not crazy demented beings! They have been forced to take up arms because their families, their loved ones were killed, were maimed, were injured, were molested, were raped, were humiliated, were mistreated and abused by the invading Kuffar armies as witnessed in countless exposes by way of the videos online and in You Tube, posted by the infidels themselves.

They are righteous Muslims who are just reacting so because the leaders of the Muslims today are criminals who have deserted the Ummah! The ones calling themselves as the leaders of the Muslims today are the culprits who have committed criminal breach of trusts and neglected the way of the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam and the righteous Caliphs and Sahabahs of the Blessed Prophet, May Peace be upon him.

When we see the newspapers and media broadcast news and reports about these courageous noble fighters and defenders of the Muslims and their sacred lands, we see them being labelled as 'extremists' and 'terrorists'!

Who is terrorizing whom?

Who is invading whose lands and destroying whose life's?

Who is killing and harming whose children, wife or wives, sisters and brothers, fathers and mothers?

Is it the Iraqis and the Afghanis?

Who?

Even here in Malaysia, the socalled Islamic nation's mass media paints the mujahideens and the fighters of the Muslim ummah in the same category as the devious Kuffar media!

Yet we dare to call ourselves as the saviors of the Ummah?

Treachery knows no limits and boundaries in today's world where the Muslim ummah are being humiliated at the worse stages of human civilization because of the spineless beings in the top political leadership amongst the so called Muslim nations!

'Malaysian Opposition are Pondans @ Faggots!' says Nazri

I dare say that sounds like a desperate attempt by the Minister in charge of the Parliament, Nazri Aziz to stir trouble and instigate the Malaysian Opposition parties to prove him wrong by coming out in the streets and prove themselves as 'jantan's @ 'macho males'!

Tch..tch..tch...what kind of a gutter language usage and foul mannerisms is this in the Malaysian Parliament?

Is this how a Malaysian Minister especially one who has been appointed to be in charge over the affairs of the highest office concerning legal matters in the land should conduct himself?

If such is the behavior condoned by the BN government of Malaysia, then surely this administration ought to be so ashamed of themselves when they use such vile language and mannerisms in discussing or debating the issue of the recent people's rally calling for a fair and free election this coming GE!

Speaking like an uncultured, uncouth bumpkin does not elevate the minister to be someone who is to be taken seriously or even respected.

The sniping sideshow MP from Kinabatangan who joins Nazri in his tirade and the occasional heckling from the MP from Jerai is another sign of the low class mentality of the clowns we have masquerading as honorable Members of Parliament representing the BN!

I await the coming GE and wish to see if the people from the constituencies of those foul mouthed MP's will re-elect them into position?

If these fellows get re-elected, then there must be something seriously wrong with the voters in their constituencies.

What a bunch of diarrhea of the lips jokers we have there in the Malaysian Parliament fouling up the august house !

If this nation is to progress and be a fully developed nation by 2020, the people of Malaysia need to spring clean Parliament from the likes of these foul mouthed arrogant clowns in the coming GE in 2008!

A nation can't be considered cultured and developed when we have such persons fouling up our nation's highest office of governance without being censored by the voting Malaysian public.

I hope to see a decent Parliament where the government and the opposition members can engage in dialogue or debates in a manner befitting their positions as representatives of their respective constituencies.

Don't you wish for the same?

Street protests aren't gonna topple Abdullah Badawi just yet!

I refer to the recent BERSIH rally by concerned Malaysians which was marred by the teargassing and acid laced water cannon blasting by the FRU upon the rally goers near Masjid Jamek KL and SOGO last Saturday afternoon.

The reality facing us is that no amount of protests or rallies by the common public or even by the thousands of lawyers led by the Malaysian Bar Council have succeeded in dislodging or even bring about any dot of change to the BN run Government of Malaysia.

The leaders of the Malaysian Opposition and NGO's fail to take into consideration the consequences of any of the rally goers or demonstrators safety and likelihood of anyone of them getting grievously hurt or even fatally injured by the FRU and Special Branch of the PDRM!

The General Elections are just around the corner. Why are the Opposition in such a bloody hurry to hold these demonstrations?

Street protests have never been successful in this country.

Even if the Opposition manages to get a million Malaysians out protesting on the streets, without the backing of the Royal Malaysian Armed Forces, a coup will never materialize here in Bolehland!

You want to topple Abdullah Badawi and his BN regime through street protests, hoping for a result similar to what took place in Indonesia, the Philippines or Thailand?

Wishful thinking!

Malaysians have never proven themselves capable of such passionate standing ups for their rights or capable of staging a 'people's power' revolt against the ruling BN since the day this nation came into being, back in 1963.

Opposition leaders must take responsibility over the life's of all those who turned up on the streets of this nation and be held responsible for any loss of life or harm to their limbs and persons when the protesters get harmed as they did in the recent teargassing and acid water spraying by the security forces of the government.

I do not wish to see a recurrence of the shooting that took place in the Batu Burok tragedy that was also organized by the 'BERSIH' folks.

Let's go about changing the government in the proper manner which is in the General Elections.

Unless the Opposition is capable of garnering the total support of the Malaysian Armed Forces in toppling the BN, please stop the street protests for now!

Not even a whisker of any of the BN despots have been shed as a result by the recent protests!

Are you ready to see any of the Opposition supporters lie dead, sprawled on our streets as a result of being caught in the crossfire between armed FRU and Special Branch undercover police and be willing to take responsibility over each protester who is out there, just so that anyone of you gets to be in power?

We who are writing against Abdullah Badawi and his regime, want to see change...but to see it done in a gentlemanly manner.

Not having to resort to hooliganism and other forms of crude human behavior that tends to erupt when the FRU starts whacking the living daylights out of the roused public as a result of all the goading and manipulations of those who crave for power at the expense of innocent Malaysian public!

Ponder on it if you really care for Malaysians.

Another thing. Stop daydreaming that the Malay Royals will ever come to the defense of the Malaysian public.

They are contented with living a life free from wants and worries. You know it as well as I that this is the real deal as far as the Malay Sultans are concerned.

Wake up and reflect. Whilst the Malaysian public were being assaulted by tear gas and acid water cannons, the Royal concerned was enjoying an equestrian challenge elsewhere totally unaware that tens of thousands of his subjects were being whacked with teargas and acid laced baths!

So much for wearing yellow! You'd suffer the same even if you wore the colors of the rainbow!

Makes no bloody difference to the FRU! They are just following orders!

Dare to deny that?

Why Malaysians protest Abdullah Badawi's policies?

There are a number of reasons why a growing number of Malaysians are getting quite pissed off at Abdullah Badawi and his administration.

  • First and foremost on the list is his innovation of adding the term 'Hadhari' to the teachings of Islam.
His screwup by doing so just alienated him from the Muslims who detest any forms of 'bida'ah' and his continuation of his policies in propagating his idea of trying to improve on a faith that is already perfect just adds fuel to the fire of resentment against him and his team of yesmen and women in the current BN cabinet.

As long as he continues his agenda in wanting to be one up over the teachings of Rasul Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam, he'll find no support from the majority of the Muslims here who honor and respect the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam till Yaum al Akhirah.

  • Next is his failure to deliver on his promises for a transparent, clean and fair government.
We all know about how corruption and abuses of power cases are deemed not relevant and simply closed by the tainted judiciary and the criminals acquitted and discharged. Even when evidences are produced, those evidences are ruled not relative to the cases and pushed aside.

Witnesses are not accorded proper protection and at times, it is the whistleblowers who face the rap. We all know about how the VK Lingam and 'former' Chief Justice phone conversation video is being disregarded and ruled inadmissible evidence further deteriorating whatever remnants of integrity there ever was in the Malaysian justice system.

  • His refusal to deliver on his promises for a freer society where the people's rights to assemble in peace are denied consistently and police are ordered to deny any permits to legitimate societies and political parties to hold their events and gatherings.
Arrogance creeps in the current Prime Minister's heart because of the way he managed to get an almost landslide victory in the last GE. As such, he denies the Malaysian public their rightful venues for exercising their democratic rights and is a worse dictator than Mahathir ever was.

People take to the streets because they are not happy with the way certain things are being done here in this nation.

Try practicing what he promised us and he'll see a different situation amongst the masses.

Remove the term 'Hadhari' from whatever activities he is carrying out in the name of Islam and see a better reaction from the Malaysian Muslims.

Be fair to all as far as rights and privileges are concerned and Malaysians would have no problems that need protesting.

Failure to address these issues will see Badawi facing a backlash soon in the coming elections.

BERSIH rally turned dirty - What now Malaysian Opposition?

I refer to the BERSIH rally which turned a bit dirty yesterday and saw many rally goers teargassed and sprayed with acid laced chemical water by the FRU water cannons at Masjid Jamek and Sogo areas.

So, the rally 'succeeded' with the handing over of the memorandum to the Agong's Secretary.
What next?

Is the Opposition satisfied?

Has any follicle of Abdullah Badawi or Najib Tun Razak dropped and any harm even done to the BN's iron grip on this nation?

I bet that the duo didn't even lose a wink of sleep last night compared to the rally goers who got teargassed and sprayed with the FRU's acid laced chemical bath yesterday!

I don't see where the BN is even affected by yesterday's rally and all the protests and demonstrations organized and carried out by our nation's loose coalition of the Malaysian Opposition.

Let me ask the BA 'leaders'. What lineup do you propose for us Malaysians to support for the next GE?

Who do you have for us lined up to be the alternative Malaysian Cabinet if the unforeseeable ever takes place here in this country and you do get to topple the BN in the next general elections?

Who's gonna be the PM? DPM? Cabinet Ministers, etc?

Anyone from the Opposition leadership care to comment?

BERSIH Rally Update! FRU have started teargassing the public!

As expected, the FRU have started assaulting the Malaysian public who have gathered at the vicinity of Masjid Negara close to Dataran Merdeka, the proposed venue of the BERSIH rally scheduled to start at 3.00pm today!

Live coverage by Malaysiakini.tv here.

Click here to get the latest update about the assault. I just hope that no Malaysians are killed today as a result of the current regime's brutality being meted out against our fellow citizens who just want to gather and listen peacefully to their chosen leaders.

Think the color yellow's gonna come help the public? Dream on!

"Change the govt in the polls!" so infers Abdullah Badawi

I mean judging from the way Abdullah Badawi is cornered into issuing such a statement as above clearly spells doom for the way the BN run Government of Malaysia is today barring the public from gathering at Dataran Merdeka by imposing roadblocks and blocking all access to the Dataran Merdeka, clearly exposes the current regime to be what it is! A bloody regime!

Satellite photo of blocked roads leading to Dataran Merdeka this morning courtesy of Jeff Ooi.

More pictures of the current situation there are available here at Chee Seong's Flickr site.

I recall reading about how the Republic of Singapore's PAP government cleverly turned around the Singapore Opposition's influence on Singaporeans by allowing the Opposition to go ahead and speak at an allocated Speaker's Corner in the island republic.

When the people of Singapore saw through the Opposition's points as nothing more than mere rhetoric, the audience trickled away to such a stage that the Opposition saw only empty fields as none came to listen to them criticize the PAP Government under Lee Kuan Yew's mentorship.

Abdullah Badawi has screwed his BN coalition party's chances by refusing permission to the BERSIH rally to take place today.

When you go and stop someone from voicing out his or her opinion in a public rally, you create a situation where people are more curious to find out what the Opposition has to say?

Such curiosity and inconveniences in turn gives birth to resentment in the hearts and minds of the Malaysian public which will then show itself in the results of the next General Elections of Malaysia.

The failure of Istana Negara to address this issue further galvanizes my conclusion that the Malay Sultans are quite comfortable playing along to the BN Coalition's dictates that they remain mere constitutional monarchies and do not interfere in the life's and fates of us Malaysian citizens.

You can't depend on the Agong to come save your butts if you are brutalized by the BN's security apparatus. Malaysians have no one to protect them if they go ahead and try to exercise their rights to assemble in peace as guaranteed by the Federal Constitution of Malaysia.

The Federal Constitution does not enjoy total adherence to by the current regime ; so do not get your hopes high that you will be accorded and allowed your rights to freedom as you wish.

When they can sideline Almighty Allah's Supreme Constitution and come up with their own watered down Syariah Laws, what the hell do we expect that they will even bother about manmade laws?

Back to the BERSIH's call for people to dress in yellow expecting the Royals to come to their defense, well, it sure seems to be a futile attempt to stir the Malay Royals into action.

The Malay Royals can't be bothered to come protect every Ahmad, Ah Seng and Samy, who wants to attend the BERSIH rally for their royal selfs would not want to risk losing their privileges and perks enjoyed by them and their royal families for the sake of the common Malaysian public. Dress in yellow? Yeah..right! Nothing special about the color to me.

The color yellow spells just that! Yellow! If you know what the color yellow stands for in America, you'll catch my drift! I state it as I see it based upon the lack of reaction from the one associated with the color yellow here in Bolehland!

The BERSIH rally might not take place today but the rally is going on vibrantly in each and every concerned Malaysian's heart and mind.

Come the next GE, this rally will manifest itself in the way the Malaysians feel about their rights to assemble in peace is today being denied by Abdullah Badawi!

I for one have never believed in all the earlier promises that 'Mr.Clean' stated when he first took over from Mahathir.

We have a choice. Choose wisely when it comes to Election Day.

I am not saying that you vote for the Opposition blindly. The Malaysian Opposition has to prove to me that they are worthy of my vote and others like me.

Those whose agenda is to deny us Muslims our freedom to practice our faith of Islam as God Almighty commands us and who interfere in matters concerning the Islamic faith will find me amongst their adversaries and I will go all out to cut them off at their knees (metaphorically speaking).

Those who practice a true and fair democratic policy that cares for all Malaysians irrespective of creed or color will instead get my total support IF they practice what they preach.

All the latest updates regarding the blockage by Abdullah Badawi in restricting Malaysians from gathering at Dataran Merdeka today at 3.00pm only goes to prove to us Malaysians that the present regime needs a wake up call in the next General Elections.

You ready to slap 'Sleepy Head' awake come the fateful day?

BERSIH Nov. 10 Rally - Deafening Silence of Istana Negara!

I refer to the deafening silence from the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin with regard to the BERSIH rally scheduled to be held tomorrow at 3.00pm in the grounds of Dataran Merdeka with regard to Malaysian citizens who wish to see a clean General Election this time around.

The BERSIH Nov.10 rally organizers are asking Malaysians who will be attending the rally to dress in yellow as a mark of respect and hope for intervention from the Supreme King of Malaysia, His Majesty the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong himself to avoid police brutality from taking place at the proposed public rally.

The irony is that although this public rally is common knowledge throughout Malaysia and the main mass media have been reporting and broadcasting updates about the denial of police permits to the organizers of the BERSIH coalition and threaten to use force upon those who attend the rally, the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong's silence is deeply regretted and a cause of concern to me and the rest of the Malaysian Blogosphere and citizens who are concerned about our nation.

His Majesty, Tuanku Mizan stands to go down in history as a King who didn't or doesn't care about us Malaysians, His Majesty's subjects who face imminent lethal harm from the very police force who are supposed to protect us from any dangers in upholding our rights and freedom to assemble in peace as guaranteed and provided for in the Malaysian Constitution.

I await the appropriate response from Istana Negara regarding the wish of Malaysians attending tomorrow's public rally to be protected from any instigation by agent provocateurs from the security forces and allowed to be carried out peacefully without any untoward incidents and avoid any bloodshed of Malaysians who just wish to assemble and exercise their rights as free citizens of this nation.

Do you think that Tuanku Mizan will arise to the occasion and fulfill the aspirations of the people?

This is the burning question raging in every concerned Malaysian citizen's heart and mind with regard to the public rally that to date has been denied a police permit and the looming threat of police action against common citizens who are just wishing to put to practice a basic right guaranteed to them in the very foundation of this country, the Federal Constitution of Malaya, now turned Malaysia!

Can we have an answer from Istana Negara regarding the people's wish or are Malaysians being left to their own designs and face potential danger to their persons from the FRU and other uniformed security agencies if they turn up at the rally?

If the Agong remains silent on this issue, then surely the people will know as to whether the color yellow is a symbol of royalty or more suitable to be regarded as the color they associate with the opposite of red, the color of those who are courageous and the mark of the warrior?

What do you think the Agong is going to do? Royal Consent or Royal 'Brush Off' of the rally?

For the latest updates on tomorrow's rally, keep checking Malaysiakini and Malaysia-Today who are covering the event in depth and detail.

Yin and Yang of seeking Salvation in Islam.

Today, there are countless numbers of Muslims who try and seek salvation in Islam by way of involving themselves in various jama'ah's and tariqah's.

Such an endeavor is quite admirable and in fact enjoined in Islam as seeking knowledge and carrying out amal and ibadah is a Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam.

Nevertheless, Muslims need to be careful embarking on such a worthy quest for the path to salvation is riddled with a lot of spiritual potholes and traps which can lead one away from the true path of seeking the Blessings of Almighty Allah by falling into the sins of khurafat and bida'ah lawwamah!

As a Muslim who is well aware of the need for me to improve my Islamic knowledge and constantly keep the company of Islamic scholars and religious teachers who are righteous and steadfast in the path of Rasul Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam, seeking the Redha and Mercy of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, I have come to understand that I am not free from falling back in my pursuit of 'ilm and am constantly facing a situation that is more alike a swinging pendulum between the light and darkness of this life.

Perfection of Iman is the objective of each and every Muslim who loves being a Muslim and cherishes the reality of the truth found in Islam revealed to us by Almighty Allah.

All rational Muslims come to realize that we who believe in Allah Azza Wa Jalla are constantly under threat of being waylaid by our nafs and unbridled lusts offered to us by this world.

Sometimes, even learned individuals and professionals fall prey to the designs and manipulations of those who are learned and well versed in Islamic knowledge yet turn into predators and opportunists who take advantage of the ignorance of such well established individuals but still are so gullible into believing such slick masters of deception and conniving tricksters who milk the foolish ones into contributing to their false teachings and at times even get abused physically, spiritually and mentally by such deviants.

We have all heard of various false teachings and deviant jamaah's and tariqat's especially here in Malaysia.

Some of these teachings and schools of religious knowledge started off sincerely but slowly but surely, temptations of earthly acknowledgment and advantages available to the teachers and masters made them fall prey to their own desires and commit breach of trust of their students and followers who are ignorant in such matters.

This dilemma is quite evident in the field of spiritual quests of those who seek the purifying of their souls and redemption of their mountains of sin against their fellow man and against the tenets and principles of Islam.

I call this situation the 'Yin and Yang' of seeking Salvation in Islam. Yin and Yang is a term describing the opposing states of any situation that is present in our life and perceptions of what this life presents to us as challenges in our daily existence.

It is a pity that many sincere Muslims who after realizing the errors of their ways and suffered the consequences of their sins, chose to repent and purify themselves by embarking on their own spiritual journeys to absolve themselves from their past mistakes, get embroiled instead in the manipulations of deviant religious teachers and masters of certain tariqats and jamaah's.

The root cause of such victimization is the lack of religious knowledge of the said individuals. It is ridiculous for them to say that they did not know. Everyone born as a Muslim here in Malaysia and is raised as such, is schooled in the basics of Islamic Knowledge and Aqeedah from the primary school levels right up to university levels.

Yet, despite all the basic teachings of Islamic knowledge and Fard' Ain, the building blocks of Islamic Practices, there are those who are stubborn and refuse to submit to the norms of social etiquette, common traditions and culture.

Such hardheadedness give birth to recalcitrant individuals who defy authority as a result of their being amongst their peers who sort of love being praised and cherished by those who accept them with all their faults and shortcomings.

Sometimes, such people have had unpleasant experiences with their parents or guardians who abused them by being too strict and severe in their upbringing and almost always were victims of harsh punishments for simple mistakes or at times even innocent of what they were unnecessarily punished for things they had never done or were wrongly accused of!

Instances like that give way to expressions of rebellion and manifest themselves in acts of going against the grain of accepted social customs and norms.

Ego plays a very big part in such acts of individuals who were only reacting naturally to counter such abuses with their own way of retaliation against those who harmed them when they were innocent and ignorant of what's right and what's deemed to be wrong.

At times these retaliation is carried out by going against the very rule of religion or social acceptance by those who harbor such dissatisfactions and simmering grudges against their abusers and vent it out against those whom they are able to inflict harm upon.

Sort of a tit for tat situation. There is a Malay saying ' Tak dapat tandok ; telinga di pulas!'.
Meaning : 'When one can't grasp the horn, one settles for twisting of the ears!'.

This parable carries the meaning of how when one can't satisfy one's wish to retaliate against the primary source of one's dissatisfaction, one opts to vent it out on any available secondary target!

This rebellious act is an inborn stubborn streak in human beings, no matter who or what they are?

Thus, this circumstances brings about an ongoing cycle of ignorants falling prey to opportunists who misuse or abuse their religious credentials and influences to milk the clueless out of their hard earned money and also take advantage of their female followers sexually in the name of their 'religious teachings'.

I don't need to name the jamaah's and tariqats in question for it is an open secret as to which jamaah or tariqat are identified as being deviant and against the true teachings of Islam.

You can find them out yourself by just typing deviant sects in the online search engines. I have a list of the teachings that JAKIM @ Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia categorize as such here.

One of those listed is the Tariqat Naqsyabandiah headed by Syaikh Nazim Adil Al-Haqqani Al-Qubrusi Al-Naqsyabandi which I joined way back in the late 80's.

I will write about my views of being a mureed of the world's largest network of tariqah and why I still regard myself as a student of this organization of those who seek the blessings of Almighty Allah through dhikr @ purification of the soul and uphold the sunnah of the blessed Final and Greatest Messenger of Ar Rahman, Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam, Rahmatulil Alamin.

Sure, I myself grimaced and distanced myself from those in the tariqat who refuse to listen to reason and go overboard in their hero worshiping of the syaikhs and fall prey to khurafat practices in their overwhelming zeal to be amongst those in the inner circle of the students who seek the syaikh's blessings and sharing of knowledge of a higher plane.

To me, none deserves to be worshiped but Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. Period.

I do not worship any other being or entity but Allahu Akbar and Him Alone. I respect and admire the Holy Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam but I never go overboard in my amals and practices.

The Blessed Prophet forbade us to go overboard in anything what more in our religious practices as excessiveness in anything leads to kufur and maksiat.

Moderation is the key to attaining salvation but many of the ignorants tend to lose control and fail to pull up the brakes when it comes to going all out on the paths of amals and ibadah.

The end result is the emergence of deviant sects and groups who miss the forest for the trees, so to speak.

Insya Allah, I will elaborate on the subject more in my following posts.

Wabillahi Taufik Wal Hidayah. Wassalamualaikum Warahmatulillahi Ta'ala Wabarakatuh.

Malayans had more freedom than Malaysians today.

It's ironic isn't it that instead of progressing towards a more freer society that is allowed to engage in a fair platform of dialogue or debate with the government of the day, Malaysians today are threatened with police beatings and arrest if they choose to exercise the most basic right of a democratic nation?

What right would that be? Well, what else but the right to assemble peacefully and engage with one's fellow citizens and discuss or debate about things that affect us and need to be solved by public participations.

Sadly, this is not the case today. If one so choose to go and engage in such a discussion with one's fellow citizens and question official wrongdoings, one is threatened with police arrest and beaten to a pulp, thrown into prison and maybe even shot to death by the very ones whom we placed our trusts in the first place!

Malaysians today are expected to live in a fantasy world where everything the BN does is considered perfect and its leaders are God's gift to us! Each one of them exemplary outstanding role models, free from sin, clean as a whistle and walk on water! Hehehehehe!

Only those whose brain cells are malfunctioning will want to conclude such a fantasy world as the real deal when we all know that travesties of justice and mountainous cases of corruption brought forth to the courts of 'justice' somehow have a uniquely Malaysian way of getting lost in the process and exonerate those vicious sharks who gorge shamelessly on public funds in the name of 'Cemerlang, Gemilang, Terbilang'!

I am not saying that things are so terrible right now in Bolehland but some things which are our rights like getting to attend public rallies like in the days of old aren't allowed by the current regime anymore!

Why? What are they so afraid of? We are being robbed of our basic rights to listen to our fellow citizens who have something to say about how things are at the moment in our country!

I envy our forefathers who had much more freedom back then when things weren't as obnoxiously restricted as today!

Even in those days when people had not much in their life's and many lived a frugal life, they had the freedom to go as they damn well pleased. Today, in our so called modern, 'democratic' nation, we are threatened with police arrest and thrown into prison if we ever dared to gather in public and condemn or criticize the 'Supreme Leader' of the BN Government of Malaysia.

Looks like we have 'mimosa pudica's' running the government here. 'Touch me not's. :P

So, scenes like this will remain in the Malayan past. Malaysia has yet to be free and independent from the clutches of our current day colonialists under guise of our fellow Malaysians ruining this nation!

Oops! Did I say ruin? I did? Well, that's what I mean actually, hehehehehe!

Anyway, let's see what is gonna take place come this Saturday at the Merdeka Square. Don't tell me it's gonna be a new 'Tiananmen Square' like massacre?

From the way, the tv news are broadcasting the latest scare tactics, more than 4000 policemen and women are being prepared to go whack the BERSIH organizers dirty! Pun intended!

Malaya O Malaya! What has become of you today? Watch Malaysiakini.tv for the latest news!

BERSIH is going ahead with it's rally no matter what!

So Malaysians, you decide as to whether you would want to reclaim your rights to assemble in peace or remain shackled under the present oppressors in the Be End.

If it's to be, it's up to us the people to make the change! Peace to all Malaysians.

Stand up for your rights and save this nation from being a victim of oppression as what Pakistan is facing now!

Democracy doesn't mean quivering in fright at the imposing threats of those whose life's themselves are but the Mercy of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala!

Where are all the despots and tyrants of yesteryears? Dead and buried! So will all those who threaten the life's and safety of us , the rightful voting public of Malaysia.

Qullu nafsin iza iqatul maut! Everything that breathes will face death. No exceptions!

May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala have mercy on us all. Ameen.

A good citizen is deaf, dumb and blind to BN's faults!

I have been reading and viewing all comments and blog reports plus the latest feedback from Malaysiakini's take on the UMNO General Assembly and what Pemuda UMNO's golden boy Khairi Jamaludin has to say about the proposed BERSIH's rally at Dataran Merdeka this Saturday, the 10th of November, 2007.

From what I can see regarding this nation's citizens dilemma with regard to the 'freedom to speak up' when they see their rights denied to them to assemble peacefully and hold such rallies, I come to the conclusion that the only good citizens according to what the BN coalition government and its various spokesmen such as Khairi Jamaludin is that the opposing Malaysians cease from existence and those who remain be deaf, dumb and blind to anything that they do wrong.

A citizen wrote this letter lamenting the fact that he or she realizes their second class citizenship in Malaysiakini.

As I type, these words, the news on Astro TV are flashing reports saying that the Malaysian Police are galvanizing more than 4000 policemen to stop the proposed BERSIH rally at Dataran Merdeka!

Malaysians who attend the rally will be considered as illegal protesters and dealt with as such. The BN government has emulated what Pakistani President General 'Iron Fist' Pervez Musharraf has unleashed onto his fellow citizens there and I won't even be surprised if I hear the same treatment be dished out to the BERSIH rally participants.

Be prepared to die for your beliefs. Justice is being shanghied here in Bolehland and all citizens are hereby warned not to dare attend such a rally as the PDRM has denied any police permits to the BERSIH organizers.

As I have been saying to those in HINDRAF and their supporters in blogs such as this, the only way you can exercise your right to choose your government is through the ballot box in the next GE.

Attending rallies are part and parcel of a citizen's right as enshrined in the British designed and drafted Malaysian Constitution yet even the Brits deny their citizens similar rights to rally and protest against the powers that be.

Furthermore, what do objecting citizens expect the BN government to do? Capitulate to their demands and resign en masse?

You must be dreaming or on something that affects your rational thinking if we are to accept that such a wish to see them fold in without a fight or come up with a treacherous counter campaign to beat the attending rally goers senseless and even get to eliminate those amongst the Opposition and the noisy NGO's in one go!

Whatever it is, I am sure that the bigwigs in the Malaysian Opposition will be main targets of the FRU batons, water cannons and from what we have seen take place at Pantai Batu Burok, Kuala Terengganu , even be rewarded with a bullet or two in their persons courtesy of the powers that be.

BERSIH rally? Sounds more like Opposition cleansing in store to me.

May God save you all. Ameen.

In the meantime, choke on all the swill that continues to be dished out to us through the 'main media'. That's what they do best. Apple polishing first class. Malaysia Boleh!

Hidup rakyat? Maybe only those who are in the BN's good books. Those wearing yellow and expect the Agong to come to their defense must be as I said, having had too much muruku and morru that they forget that the BN will never change its colors.

We need to stand up for our rights and at times, face such challenges in ensuring that those rights are fulfilled and upheld even at the risk of being harmed by the very government who are supposed to protect us all.

A good Malaysian is one who is deaf, dumb and blind unlike us pesky bloggers who don't give a hoot to their wants and desires. Must be in our genes, I suppose.

As far as I know, we are answerable to Allah and Rasul Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam and to our conscience.

Don't you agree?

Hishamudin's Keris Kissing - Don't get riled up over it!

Sometimes we Malaysians can get so traumatic for no bloody rhyme or reason over the flimsiest things!

The act of kissing the Malay keris by UMNO Youth Chief Hishamudin Tun Hussein Onn at the annual UMNO Conference somehow is being made out to be an attempt to threaten the Non Malays with deadly harm!

Really?

Why the hell are Malaysians so susceptible to their inner fears over something that will not happen tomorrow or any other time in the future ....unless of course, the instigators itching for a fight amongst us laidback Malaysians succeed in exploding the time honoured spirit of 'esprit de corps' that we have nurtured here amongst us all these years!

Why fear something that is almost unthinkable to be ever allowed to take place here in this land that is a strong practitioner of the old Malay parable of 'Si Luncai terjun dengan labu-labunya! Biarkan!...biarkan!..?

UMNO will never ever go to harm it's strongest allies in the BN, the coalition parties made up of Chinese, Indians, Sabahans, Sarawakians, etc.

Neither will any of the Malaysian Opposition parties including PAS or PKR!

This unnecessary demonizing of a Malay Youth Chief simply because he kisses his keris everytime UMNO holds their annual conference is to me a childish prank by those who do not accord to the Malays their rights to practice and maintain their traditional Malay culture and norms associated with the ancient Malay warrior's practices and time honored 'adat'!

The Malays are fast losing their traditions and cultures due to the unbridled aping of Western norms and habits.

Kissing of the keris is a symbol of chivalry and a measure of a Malay's readiness to combat evil and defend his honor, his loved ones and his nation.

There is no intention to go stab and kill any Chinese, Indian or foreigner with the keris, until and unless the situation warrants it like in a climate of war or anarchy!

Let's be fair. If not the Malays in UMNO or any other Malay based party or group retains their traditions or cultures that will be lost if they fail to preserve their identities as Malays, who then is going to see to it that the future generations of the Malays will remember their roots or their pasts?

Sometimes, we tend to make mountains out of molehills with our fears imagined out of ignorance of the social and traditional norms of any one ethnicity or creed.

Traditions are our link to the past and our guide to the future. Do not go around stirring up trouble amongst the Malaysian population for nothing.

We need to get rid of the corrupt individuals robbing and ruining this nation when they fail to carry out their jobs as entrusted to them by all of us.

Learn to sift through the maze of ethnic varieties and traditional customs and social norms of any one people before blowing things out of proportion and endanger the general Malaysian public with imaginary foes and 'threats of death' upon witnessing such an act of kissing the keris!

You'd be more likely to die of a heart attack or get smashed in an automobile collision than die by being stabbed with a keris by any Malay in this land!

Wise up and let the fellow go kiss his keris as much as he damn well pleases! The only person in any danger of being harmed by the keris is Hishamudin himself if he so much as slips and splits his lips open!

Take it easy folks! The UMNO Malays aren't coming after you! They'd be plain idiots if they ever harm any of you, their tickets to another term of enriching their lot by shouting 'Malaysia Boleh!'

Let the Malays strut their stuff at their annual convention. You don't expect them to show up at the annual MCA, MIC, GERAKAN, PPP or any other non Malay gathering and kiss their keris there, do you?

Focus on improving our lots first and go make money. Don't worry! Be happy!

When it's election time, just vote whom you very well please!
