Who is the terrorist? Wake up to the reality!
Muslims need to watch the last clip and wake up to the reality that is taking place in the lands of the Anbiya today!
Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Kashmir, Chechnya, Kosovo, etcetera...
Who are the terrorists occupying those lands?
Muslims or the Kaffirs?
Anyway, the Kaffirs are finding that invading Iraqis is no walk in the park! They are getting their share of fatalities every day as the brave Iraqis are hitting them back in the only ways that the Kaffirs understand.
The following clip shows just that!
And a clip showing the Kaffir's war crimes in the past and present:

Hulu Langat - A tropical sanctuary for all nature lovers.

All praises be to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala for blessing us with lots of natural treasures especially the kind of environment we have in abundance in our country where we can escape to seek some respite from the pressures and stress of life in the city like KL.
This afternoon, I drove to Hulu Langat with my darling wife and went to look for delicious Malay kampong food.
First stop was at the tropical fruits store on our way to the Malay kampong food warong opposite Taman Sri Nanding.
There is this stall that sells the best quality fresh naturally ripened Pisang Emas and other tropical fruits. I have been buying from this stall since we first explored Hulu Langat and discovered it's kampong attractions.
Those who feel like buying a whole stalk of these quality bananas for feasts and sadaqah during Friday prayers can head on over to this stall. Prices for such a stalk of pisang emas bananas range from RM18 to RM20 for a 9 kg stalk.
Our selected warong is a simple roadside establishment run by a Malay family opposite Taman Sri Nanding, Hulu Langat.
We have had our lunch there before and liked the laid back environment of the warong and the quality of their Malay kampong food there.
A delicious plate of talapia masak cili and bean sprouts for my missus.
My preference for 'Ikan Tongkol Masak Lemak Cili Padi' and 'Terong Berlada' plus a serving of ' Sambal Berlado Goreng'.
Price is absolutely way much cheaper than what we usually pay in Cheras and KL areas. You can say that the cost of living in Hulu Langat is really much more affordable than in the city and suburban areas.
The main thing is just the feeling of being so relaxed and easy. I really look forward to escaping from all the headaches and stress of daily life in the big city and truly feel so relieved being there every now and then. It's my sanctuary that normalizes back my day to day existence in KL.
Just behind the warong is this beautiful landscape and a feast for the eyes. Tropical greenery stretched all along the magnificent vista of Hulu Langat, my favorite destination for rest and relaxation.
There was also this pleasing sight of a small brook with greenery all around just besides the warong. Lovely, isn't it?
I saw this papaya tree with a ripe fruit on it. Imagine that? If this tree was in Cheras, the fruits would all have been plucked and missing before you can say 'eureka'! Hahahaha!
Guess that the folks in Hulu Langat are just too blessed with fruits from their own gardens to want to pinch fresh fruits of others from their orchards. :)
Looks like I will have to stop here and continue in the next post. Lots of good photos and videos coming up. It's been a pleasure sharing these with you. Hope you enjoyed the article.
Cheers.
Benazir's Assassination - Suicide Bombers Go Straight to Hell!
To the memory of Benazir Bhutto and all the other victims who died with her in the bomb attack in Rawalpindi, Pakistan yesterday.
I am sure that many amongst us condemn the way that certain quarters in Pakistan chose to kill so many innocent lives just because they do not agree to Benazir Bhutto returning to contest in the only nuclear powered Muslim country in the world.
Terror has no legitimate place in the world of Islam and those who advocate mass murders of innocents just to snuff out one political target are sinners and in my opinion, will be condemned to Narr Al Jahannam @ The Lowest Hellfire for their dastardly deeds in taking the lives of innocents in the most cowardly manner.
Such is the situation when hatred takes over oneself and compassion takes leave of the person or persons who plotted taking her life in that way.
Unbridled anger destroys any essence of human compassion and in this case, we see a former Pakistani Premier being killed by a suicide bomber who himself blasted away any chances of him dying in the name of the faith or whatever causes he obliterated himself for?
Suicide is forbidden in Islam and this mass murderer surely will go straight to Hell for Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala condemns anyone who takes his or her life and that of others for unwarranted causes!
Society suffers as a result by such criminal acts which in turn can cause a backlash amongst the remaining people and we have seen more deaths take place in the country as a result of Benazir's supporters running riot out of anger and outrage intending to avenge her death!
The crazed supporters rampaged through cities and towns burning down civilians vehicles and public transport, government buildings,etc.
What good is that going to do for the masses?
I for one do not agree with such a forbidden way of destroying oneself and murdering others for political objectives of the devious ones.
As expected, the usual scapegoat is who else but the Al-Qaeda, America's favorite 'terror group'.
The way they go about blaming Al-Qaeda for practically anything that goes wrong in the world is simply getting stale and just as credible as George Bush Jr. claiming that Saddam Hussein had been amassing huge arsenals of Weapons of Mass Destruction!
As the world knows, such a ruse is nothing but Bush Jr's scam to invade Iraq in the name of Operation Iraqi Liberation or if you check out the acronym to be OIL!
Now, all these trouble breaking out in Pakistan may be the fruit of the machinations by the unseen hands who are creating havoc in the country!
Who is behind all these?
Who stands to gain by unhinging Pakistan? My guess would be the USA or it's ruler by proxy, the rogue Zionist regime of Israel.
Pakistan is the world's only Muslim nuclear power. By initiating unrest and wrecking the civil order in the country, it will open the doors for foreign intervention.
Which superpower is itching to plant its stakes in the region? Who else but Uncle Sam?
But then again, I might be wrong and this could be the work of Pervez Musharraf to undermine his political opponents in the coming General Elections?
Wallahu'alam bissawab.
Christians are most welcome to worship Allah as we do!

Selected verses from Surah Al Mai'dah Al Qur'an Al-Kareem sourced from here.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~@@@@@@@@@@~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have been receiving emails and comments asking me as to why Christians are not supposed to use the term 'Allah' in their prayers or publications when referring to God?
Well, I have been contemplating on the subject and have thought of a remedy to the situation.
Instead of forbidding the Christians from using the term Allah for their imagined God perse, I think that Muslims ought to grab the opportunity to teach the Christians about worshiping Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala in the real sense.
Surely from the Qur'anic verses above and the example of the Christian King of ancient Abyssinia, the Negus @ Al Najashi, who gave shelter to the early Makkan Muslims who fled the oppressive Quraish Kaffirs of Makkah and who upon realizing the truth of Islam from the Makkan Muslim religious refugees, himself embraced Islam and proved the truth of Allah's revelations about good Christians as per the verses 82-84 above in the Surah Al Mai'dah, we can see that it's better to embrace the Christians with Dakwah Al Islamiyah instead of unnecessary prolonged centuries old enmity between us!
Christians are the closest to us in faith and we should try to build bridges between us instead of continue to hate and wage war between each other.
I for one aim to start writing about why I say that Islam is the very faith that Allah the Almighty taught Our Father the Blessed Prophet Adam Alaihis Salam and from Adam to Our Mother Saiyidatina Hawwa Radhiallahu Anha @ Eve ( May she be blessed) and from them to their progeny, the various tribes of humankind?
Christians must worship Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala in the true sense if they want to address Him as such for it is pointless for them to say that they worship Allah as True God but go and worship His Prophet Jesus Christ @ Eesa Al Masih in turn!
This is what I think. If Christians say that they have a right to address God as Allah, they are right a hundred percent but the question is 'Do they really worship Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala'?
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is God Almighty of all Creation.
No one denies this. The thing is only Muslims worship Him as per what He has commanded us, the Believers.
Christians are the ones who are referred to as the ones who went astray in the Surah Al-Fatihah.
Knowing that the Christians have gone astray, isn't it the duty of us Muslims, their brethren to show them the right way?
They want to worship Allah?
By all means! Let's help the Christians find Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and be True Believers as Mukmins and Mukminats, Muslimins and Muslimats.
As we all know, all over the world, many people from all walks of life are coming into Islam and amongst the largest group of reverts to Islam are the Christians.
Welcome to your birthrights to be true Believers in Allah!
May Allah bless and guide us all to His Mercy and Benevolence.
Ameen.

Islam began way before Mankind existed!

Bismillahirrahmannirrahim.
In the Name of Allah, God Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh. May Peace be upon you with the Mercy and Blessings of Allah.
The recent issue of whether Muslims have absolute rights to address Our Creator as 'Allah' and Non Muslims such as the Christians are fooling themselves into addressing their deity or deities as such is referred to in this article?
Web news portals such as Malaysiakini are rife with comments and opinions of those who oppose the assertation by Muslims that Allah is only to be used by us who believe in Him and not by the Kaffirs such as the Christians, no matter who they are and where they may be!
It is said that Islam only came into being when Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam was appointed as the Final Messenger of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala in the year 570 C.E.
Do note the term 'Final'.
What does that tell us? It tells us clearly that Prophet Muhammad ibni Abdullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam was the very last of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala's 124,000 prophets and messengers sent to Mankind since the creation of Prophet Adam Alaihis Salam.
Now, who can deny that Adam Alaihis Salam was the Father of all Mankind?
Evolutionists. These are the kind of human beings who go about believing what Charles Darwin concluded that the Origin of Species gave birth to all the various, complex myriad of living organisms that had been living on this Earth and later perished, evolved into this and that over the billions of years and today are the descendants of all such creatures and beings including us Mankind referred to by the scientific world of today as 'homo sapiens'.
Darwin believed that Mankind today originated from apes.
Many human beings subscribe to his theory and believe the same, especially those who aren't Muslims.
Even many millions of ignorants amongst the Muslims swallow all these fabrications hook,line and sinker without making any efforts to study and discover the reality about us through the revelations of Allah's Supreme Constitution and Guidebook of Life which is the Holy Al-Qur'an Al-Kareem.
Whom do we blame for this ignorance? No one but the individual him or herself.
As human beings, we are blessed to have been created by Almighty Allah with the abilities to process information.
We have been given the faculty of reasoning between right and wrong, Al-Haqq and Al-Batil.
Problem is that there are many confused individuals here on earth who are blind, deaf and dumb as to seeking out the truth of Islam and continue to pursue their paths towards Jahannam.
I as a Muslim do not subscribe to the Charles Darwin theory or any other theories by the Non Muslims. Period.
I study and research about my being and the rest of mankind plus all other Allah's creatures using whatever means I have within my reach and accessibility.
I am a perpetual student of Islam and all other fields of existence.
It is said that the Christians acknowledge the existence of Allah but in reality their object of veneration and worship is really not True God Almighty, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala as we Muslims really believe in!
If you ask the Christians as to who created them, they will say that it is Allah but in actual practice, do they worship Him?
No sirree!
They worship something else. They worship His creation. The Prophet of Allah, Hadhrat Eesa ibni Maryam Alaihis Salam.
If you would care to study the verses in the Final Revelations of Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, in the Surah Luqman Chapter 31 Verse 25:

25. Wala-in saaltahum man khalaqa alssamawati waal-arda layaqoolunna Allahu quli alhamdu lillahi bal aktharuhum la yaAAlamoona
25. If thou ask them, who it is that created the heavens and the earth. They will certainly say, "(Allah)". Say: "Praise be to Allah." But most of them understand not.
And in the Surah Az Zukhruf Chapter 43 Verse 87:
87. Wala-in saaltahum man khalaqahum layaqoolunna Allahu faanna yu/fakoona
87. If thou ask them, who created them, they will certainly say, Allah. How then are they deluded away (from the Truth)?
To say that human beings of today are incapable of study and research as the forefathers of yesteryears would be an affront to our human intelligence but sadly the world seems to be full of recalcitrant self opinionated stubborn beings who remain impervious to the truth that is right smack before them!
Really?
If Muhammad was the 'founder' of Islam, then pray tell me what faith was Adam Alaihis Salam, the very first human being, created by Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala Himself was professing?
To whom did he, Adam Alaihis Salam pray to?
Tell me!!!
To whom did he prostrate himself to and worship in Jannatul Firdaus @ the highest Paradise?
Did he pray to any other being or deity?
HELLO!!!!!
He was the very first human being!!!
Adam Alaihis Salam was created by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala Himself from clay taken from all parts of the planet Earth and fashioned into being a Man by Allah Ar Rahman Ar Raheem Himself before the presence of all of Allah's Malaikats and other beings in Paradise!
Adam did not evolve from any other thing!!!
He was created by God Almighty Himself.!!!
Such knowledge is derived from my study of Islam from my shaikh's in the tariqah's. Such knowledge is not taught in the schools and classrooms of the average education system.
There are various fields of knowledge in our present day world. Academic knowledge is fine for those who want to know the basics of Islam as is being taught by our national school systems.
Deeper, inner, spiritual knowledge is only attainable by going to their unique sources and for me, I found them in the tariqah that I joined.
Even then, I discovered some practices to be not in line with what I came to learn to be not from the Sunnah of Rasul Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam. I chose to stay away from being a blind follower of such misguidance.
Do I dismiss off the teachings of Sufism altogether as a result? No.
I accept that there are certain knowledge that are the absolute truth derived from the teachings of the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam and there are those which were the opinions or practices by the latter day masters of Islamic spiritual pursuits in the world of the Sufi's.
Back to the subject matter.
Adam Alaihis Salam was created and given life by Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala Himself. He was taught by Allah of all things and matters that he ought to know and his knowledge came from none but Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala Himself.
Adam was given knowledge direct from the Creator Himself.
Do you think that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala would have taught Adam to worship anything else from Him?
Adam Alaihis Salam was taught knowledge that even all of Allah's Malaikat's @ Angels had no knowledge of?
In the Al-Qur'an Al-Kareem Surah Al Baqarah Chapter 2 Verses 30-33, Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala reveals the truth of Adam's Creation and his receiving knowledge from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala Himself surpassing the knowledge of all of Allah's Malaikat's and other creatures:

30. Wa-ith qala rabbuka lilmala-ikati innee jaAAilun fee al-ardi khaleefatan qaloo atajAAalu feeha man yufsidu feeha wayasfiku alddimaa wanahnu nusabbihu bihamdika wanuqaddisu laka qala innee aAAlamu ma la taAAlamoona
30. Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said: "Wilt Thou place therein one who will make Mischief therein and shed blood?-- Whilst we do celebrate Thy praises And glorify Thy holy (name)?" He said: "I know what ye know not."

31. WaAAallama adama al-asmaa kullaha thumma AAaradahum AAala almala-ikati faqala anbi-oonee bi-asma-i haola-i in kuntum sadiqeena
31. And He taught Adam the nature Of all things; then He placed them Before the angels, and said: "Tell Me The nature of these if ye are right."

32. Qaloo subhanaka la AAilma lana illa ma AAallamtana innaka anta alAAaleemu alhakeemu
32. They said: "Glory to Thee, of knowledge We have none, save what Thou Hast taught us: In truth it is Thou Who art perfect in knowledge and wisdom."

33. Qala ya adamu anbi/hum bi-asma-ihim falamma anbaahum bi-asma-ihim qala alam aqul lakum innee aAAlamu ghayba alssamawati waal-ardi waaAAlamu ma tubdoona wama kuntum taktumoona
33. He said: "O Adam! tell them Their natures." When he had told them, God said: "Did I not tell you That I know the secrets of heaven And earth, and I know what ye reveal And what ye conceal?"
The above revelation clearly shows the high position of our Father, the Blessed Prophet Adam Alaihis Salam above all other creatures of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and even the Malaikat's @ Angels of Allah were asked to prostrate before Adam Alaihis Salam as a mark of respect towards Adam's position as Allah's Vicegerent on Earth.
To me, Adam Alaihis Salam was a Muslim when he was created and given life by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and surely Allah the Almighty would not have taught him a faith that was not Islam!
I will continue writing about this so that all of mankind will be reminded of their true faith as that to be Islam.
I will expose to you in stages as to how all the various faiths came to be as a result of :
- Adam's expulsion from Paradise,
- how he cried tears of forgiveness for years and years upon landing in Sri Lanka and
- how eventually he met up with his wife, our mother Saiyidatina Hawwa Radhiallahu Anha and
- how they settled down in Makkah al Mukarramah which is the holiest spot on Earth for Muslims and
- how Adam's progeny were later asked to disperse to all parts of the world and
- how they eventually turned into various tribes and races of human beings and as to
- how some of them later reneged on their promises to their father , the blessed Prophet Adam Alaihis Salam to observe and practice Islam which was taught to them by Adam and how they later fell short of such ibadah and ended up inventing the various 'faith's' we have now before us.
I will go about it in my own way and tell you as it is.
Let's be rational about discussing this most important matter and if anyone of you feels like having a dialogue on this , to please engage with me in a manner befitting us as fellow human beings, worthy in respectful language and acceptable standards of discourse.
I leave it to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala to allow me to do my bit in removing the doubts in the minds of all those who wish to learn about Islam as to what it really is and not as they imagine it to be.
Wabillahi Taufik Wal Hidayah. Wassalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Ta'ala Wabarakatuh.

Hindraf You Tuber Warns Mahaguru58!
I had a forced hiatus from the internet and haven't had the chance to check my You Tube account or my emails from then till yesterday.
When I checked my You Tube account today, this warning from a Hindraf You Tuber stares me in the face.
This is the kind of folks we have to face in our struggle to establish a fair and free platform for freedom of expression and defense of what we have as individual concerned citizens of Malaysia.
A death threat from an anonymous Hindraf supporter. His or her ID is vengadeswary.
I am not one who scares of Death. I have been telling others about the imminent end for all of us including this threatener from Hindraf.
'Qullu nafsin iza iqatul maut' @ 'Verily everything that breathes will taste death'.
To me, I believe in Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala's Taqdeer.
If I am destined to die for the sake of defending Islam and my fellow Muslims, Alhamdulillah.
Would I cease from writing the truth and expose the wrongdoers in our nation and elsewhere?
Na'uzu billah!
I have written to my lawyers and await their instructions.
As for the nation, I state herewith that I write with the intentions to enjoin the good @ Al-Makruf and forbid or combat the evil @ Al-Mungkar.
I leave it to Allah to do what He wills!
Mahaguru58 is a Muslim Blogger who never shies away from upholding Al-Haqq and expose the Batil.
'La haula wala quwwata illa billah hil aliyyil adzhim'.
Malaysiakini's latest reports about using the term 'Allah' for the Christian's magazine was my earlier response.
I know that some folks won't be pleased to read about a true Muslim's stand about such an abuse of the term 'Allah' to be used for their deity or deities and my explanations as to the reasons for such prohibition by the Malaysian Internal Security Ministry?
The thing is have Malaysians grown mature enough to discuss and dialog decently between us after 50 years of Independence or are we still reduced to making death threats and force ourselves to resort to the law of the jungle?
To me, this death threat from Hindraf only reinforces my stand that democracy and freedom of speech or voicing out opinions is lost on those who choose violence as their tools of their trade.
Is there still hope for a peaceful Malaysia?
Looks like we are in for another spell of demonstrations and protests in the name of justice when it is denied to citizen bloggers like me.
I await what the Hindraf leaders have to say about this warning from one of their own?
'Allah' is to be solely used by Muslim Believers not by Kaffirs.
The contents of his email unedited are:

As Salaam Alaikum.
Dear Zainol,
I am a lawyer friend of yours. There has been some criticisms in the internet lately regarding a government decision not to allow a Catholic magazine to use the expression "Allah" in their magazine.
I am suggesting that you put up the following note in your blog so that the public knows what the legal position is in regard to this matter. Just say that the opinion is given by a senior lawyer, without mentioning my name.
"The Minister is correct in preventing the use of the expression "Allah" in the Catholic magazine. There are laws in most states in Malaysia which provide that certain Arabic/Islamic expressions cannot be used pertaining to a non-Islamic religion.
In Selangor, this law is called THE NON-ISLAMIC RELIGIONS (CONTROL OF PROPAGATION AMONGST MUSLIMS) ENACTMENT 1988.
Altogether 35 words/expressions are mentioned in the law, including the word "Allah".
It is to be borne in mind that these laws are State Civil Laws (in contrast to State Syariah Laws), and these laws apply to Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
These laws are passed pursuant to Article 11(4) of the Federal Constitution.
Lawyer. "
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I for one agree totally with the Deputy Minister of Internal Security Johari Baharom and my lawyer friend for it is simply not only ridiculous for any Kaffir to go about pretending to worship Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala when in actual reality they don't!
Being condescending is one thing but for us Muslims to just go along with the Christian missionaries attempts to subtlely infuse seeds of doubts and confusion amongst the masses as to the covert agenda of proselytizing their beliefs amongst the ignorant ones in society will be an act of irresponsibility and punishable in the Hereafter for not protecting our faith's principles of not associating anything else with Allah. Period.
This is the reason why the Malaysian authorities are right in nipping this menace in the bud and clear the confusion before it becomes an epidemic as what is taking place in the Arab world today.
As a Muslim, I detest any attempts by any Non Muslim to address his or her imagined deity to be that of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Glory be to Ar Rahman, the One and Absolute from all these attempts by the Munafiqs and Musyriks amongst humankind who rebel against Him yet want so much to use His Name to be addressed for their imagined god.
I am being clear about where Allah's prohibition stands as to associating Him with anything else!
There's no 'if's, but's or maybe's as far as the matter of Aqeedah is concerned about His Supremacy above all else in the universe.
Any Muslim who goes along with agreeing to others especially the Kaffir's attempts to use the word 'Allah' for their imagined deity is an ignorant @ jahil and ought to repent and start learning as to the whole reality of his or her faith of Islam.
In the Holy Qur'an Chapter 112 Verses 1 to 4 , Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala commands:
- Say: He is Allah, the One!
- Allah, the eternally Besought of all!
- He begets not nor was begotten.
- And there is none comparable unto Him.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is commanding us Muslims to say that He is One!
He is the only Lord who is besought by all Mukmin's @ Believers.
To say that the Non Muslims devote their prayers to Him is a total fabrication and outward lie because they do not have faith in Allah Azza Wa Jalla as we Muslims believe in to the letter.
Imagined, misconstrued, beguiled ideas of what Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala actually is and what the Kaffir's and Munafiq's @ Hypocrites imagine Him to be is wrong and Non Muslims ought to be honest enough to admit that.
I have read some blogs and websites questioning as to whether Muslims have the absolute rights to the word 'Allah'?
I say absolutely 'YES'!
I can't make way for anyone to go call their imagined deity 'Allah' when in reality they are not Muslims and don't believe in Allah as what Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala commands us to !
You want to believe in Allah the Almighty, then by all means do so in the real sense. Not putting up an act or a sham!
No one's stopping anyone from claiming their birthrights to be a Muslim!
Be a Muslim properly and worship Allah honestly if you really mean it.
No need for anyone to go address something other than Allah and then use the term 'Allah' for their misguidance.
There's nothing for me to be shy about in defending the prohibition of misusing the word 'Allah' for the Christian's hidden agenda in breaking down the defense of a Muslim's Aqeedah bit by bit until such acts of Kufr becomes second nature to any Muslim worth his or her name in the true sense.
We can be fellow human beings and socially civil to each other but when it comes to the matter of faith, we need to be sincere and draw the line of not confusing the Haqq @ Truth from the Batil @ Falsehood.
Only those who are sincere to themselves will acknowledge my words to be the absolute truth and not misconstrue this article to be attacking the Non Muslims.
This is a matter concerning preserving the Truth from falling into misguidance.
Kaffir's need to be rational enough in realizing that Allah as what we Muslims believe in aren't what they believe their deities to be!
It's as straight forward as it can be.
How would you feel if your child goes and claims some other man as his or her natural father?
How would you feel if you in the position of Almighty Allah ( metaphorically speaking) who created everything yet your creation goes ahead and worships some other creation or imaginary deity or deities?
Allah the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful is so magnanimous that He allows certain tribes amongst mankind to still exist and keep on with their misguidance in the name of free choice but not without revealing to mankind His Supreme Constitution in the form of the Revelations of the Holy Al-Qur'an Al-Kareem!
To mankind has been sent 124,000 prophets and messengers over Time and yet here we have some quarters still recalcitrantly going about worshiping something other than Allah and claiming that they too have a right to address their deities as such?
The Malaysian Government especially the Islamic Affairs Department under the auspices of the Prime Minister's Office must make it absolutely clear that they will not allow such abuse to take place in this land.
If Arab Christians address their imagined deities as 'Allah' then their authorities have failed in their duties to stop that nonsense.
We don't hold sway over other nation's affairs and it is up to their respective Islamic authorities to do their jobs and stop the rot.
As far as Malaysia is concerned, we the Muslims here must stand firm against this affront to our faith and support the Internal Ministry in this prohibition.
If the Non Muslims have a wish to address their deity as 'Allah' than they are just shortchanging themselves of the Mercy of True God Almighty who is Allah Ar Rahman Al Kareem.
Come believe in Allah as you should and discover that He is the Only Creator who deserves to be worshiped in the true sense and not be mistaken for some other creation or imagined being.
'La haula wa la quwwata illa billah hil aliyyil adzhim bil sulthanik!'
Learn the meanings of this Ayatul Kursi.
It is the most powerful protective line of verses that Allah the Most Beneficient has revealed to us a protection against the evil forces that He has created as a check of balance between good and evil in this universe.
Recite these verses over anyone who has been possessed by evil whether by evil spirits or any other situation.
I have found it to be most effective in treating folks who have been charmed and as a result of their being weak internally and subjected to external manipulations by evildoers amongst us.
Those who wish to cleanse their homes and abodes from the djinns and iblis laknatullah will find the Ayatul Kursi most effective in ridding their residences from such evils. Insya Allah.
Come be practicing Muslims in the real sense and do not waste any more precious seconds of our remaining lives. Insya Allah.
Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Walillahil hamd!
Every human being is but the Child of Adam Alaihis Salam and no matter who you are right now, black, yellow, white or brown, you have the absolute right to be a Believer of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala in the real sense.
Don't short change yourself and go believing in something else.
Many people around the world are realizing the truth that is in Islam. It's not easy to change what one is or has become overnight.
Becoming a Muslim is a life changing experience and personal journey towards peace in one's heart and mind. Not many have a smooth transition. Some have faced death in their attempts to be a Believer and some have had supportive parents, friends and families.
Each person's struggle is unique and quite note worthy. Whatever it is, believe me when I say that Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala knows us best and He will reward or punish us accordingly.
Be sincere to ourselves and learn to accept the truth that There is No God but Allah and Muhammad is the Last Messenger of Allah.
Be a Muslim. I will teach you how. Email me at mahaguru58@gmail.com as to how to go about it.
Insya Allah.
May Peace, Mercy and the Blessings of Allah be upon us all. Ameen.
Back from my Aidil Adha Trip to Kuantan
Alhamdulillah! We made it safely back to our residence here in KL late this evening from Kuantan after being there for 4 days starting from Thursday, 19th of December 2007 for the Eidul Adha celebrations at my wife's kampong.
It's been a satisfying trip back to the East Coast after not being able to return home to Kuantan for my relative's funeral a couple of weeks back due to the East Coast Highway being cut off by the recent floods. Some areas in the States of Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan are still flooded according to the news reports.
It was raining on Eidul Adha and the general atmosphere was a bit gloomy in the morning. The skies cleared up at midday and the slaughtering of 3 cows took place at my relatives kampong without a hitch.
I remember a previous Eidul Adha where one of the cows simply died before it could be slaughtered. It was one of the most aggressive bulls amongst the 5 heads of cattle that my family members had purchased. The stress must have been too much for the beast! Heart attack, I suppose.
Well, this time around, everything went smooth like clockwork although there were a few anxious moments when the last bull did a 'rodeo style bucking' on all fours into the air and was very aggressive towards its handlers.
It was overpowered by the kampong cowboys who lassoed the beast down and expertly brought the protesting beast to its knees so to speak.
My brother in law, Hj.Zainal swiftly and efficiently slaughtered the sacrificial animal and I have it all on video.
The file is a bit large and maybe after some splicing into several parts, I might be able to post it online either on You Tube or here using Blogger's own video hosting service for your viewing pleasure.
After the 'Qurban' activities ended, we retired for the day but got to enjoy a sumptuous 'Sup Tulang' with close relatives and invited special guests.
Lots of stories and latest updates were exchanged during the feast. Pretty interesting what good food and company can do to one's catching up on the latest happenings in the family circle and close networks.
Among the highlights of our trip was meeting my wife's grand nephew, Amir Rafiq. This little boy genius is simply one of a kind.
He's just a 'gadget freak'! He can handle all kinds of latest technological gizmos and is a pro at handling the computer! Guess his age?
The little 'boy wonder' is just 3 years old!
He calls me 'Atok Uncle'! Hehehehehehe...how inventive?
Sometimes it just amazes me to see, hear and marvel at this genius of a child who simply can't stay quiet for one second. He's always fiddling with this, tinkering with that.
He handles the latest Nokia handsets like a pro and can just work out the various controls and commands at ease like the seasoned expert that he is!
Talk about child prodigy's. This boy is an excellent candidate. When it comes to my phone, he's a bit upset because 'Atok Uncle's phone is the old school type.
Your basic Nokia mobile phone with no color screen, in built camera's or exciting games.
Hehehehehe...he surely must be thinking to himself what an ancient relic his 'Atok Uncle' is using such a basic phone?
Well, I don't need all those fancy expensive latest gizmo's like those 3G technology phones. I have our Nikon C200 Coolpix Digital cum Videocam at my belt, ready to shoot or record any event that takes place before me, anytime. So, I don't see the need to hurry and change my phone, just yet.
Frankly speaking, bo kow lui ler! Fulus tak cukup aa...Hahahahahaha!
The basic one will do for now, so give 'Atok Uncle' a break aa Amir? Coming Soon..Next Change!
I was just amazed to see him before my relative's computer in the office room, busily typing away and playing a computer game like an old hand.
I immediately rushed upstairs to get my digital camera and record the amazing sight of this 3 year old handling the computer so expertly. He was playing one of those 'sock it to him' videogames on the pc and by the time I returned with my digicam, he was playing something else!
Kids nowadays!
I won't be surprised if Amir turns out to be like one of those IT experts in India or the USA and come up with his own software or other inventions.
His parents were about to leave for their home in Kemaman and his dad, Rafee called out to him to shut down the pc as they were ready to leave.
He then moved the mouse's cursor and started to shutdown all the opened windows one by one and at last shut down the pc as any one of us would.
All that is on another larger video file. I need to split the video into several parts smaller than 100MB in order to upload it to either You Tube or Blogger.
This one here is of him listening to some audio files. Hehehehehe...bijak ...bijak!
Subhanallah! May Allah SWT bless him with His Taufik and Hidayah and bestow upon him and his parents the best of this world and in the hereafter! Amin!
Here's me holding tight to the fella as he starts to go do something else that interests him at Telok Chempedak Beach, Kuantan when I brought him and the others to an impromptu outing day before yesterday.
He was practically running all over the place and enjoyed himself very much! When I helped him make a hill out of the sand, he said 'volcano' and 'hot lava'!
National Geographic fan no doubt!
Will share more later. More updates on other things after this.
Mankind's Folly - Wasting away their life in hatred.
May Peace and Blessings be upon all children of Adam Alaihis Salam.
All praises be to Allah, Lord, Creator, Cherisher, Sustainer of all the Worlds.
Verily by Allah's Will do we live our lives here, each busy with our own affairs and seeking a sustenance of what we need in order to fulfill our taqdeer, our fate.
Not many of us bother to spend some time in contemplating as to who we are and what we shall be or if we will even live on to the next second, next minute, hour, day, week, month, year or years?
In our rush to attain the best of this world, sometimes we tend to forget the next or don't even bother to know about it!
Such is our inclinations. We are so steeped in ignorance by choice and we seldom choose to stop for a second and look back to our origins and realize our current situations and our fated destinies.
In the Holy Qur'an, Almighty Allah, our Creator, Master and Sustainer, reminds us eternally to live by His Code.
He has revealed to us His Supreme Constitution for us as to how to live our lives and what we need to watch out for?
Yet, so many of us are so bloody stubborn. So many of us are engrossed with our hatred. Our hatred for our fellow man. Our hatred for those who are different from us.
Our hatred born out of our failure to comprehend and to understand that when compared with the lives of so many billions of our forefathers who lived before us, our very present existence is so minuscule and seen from a different perspective, comes to mean nothing much when looked at in the Grand Design of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
There are millions of us who love nothing much but to see our enemies suffer. We hate some folks without due cause nor any actual enmity between us.
Hatred by choice. Selective hating. Sometimes the very object of our hatred doesn't have a clue about us yet here we are hating them for nothing.
Only thing we get out of this unnecessary hatred is additional stress, mental pressure and most probably will culminate with a massive heart attack very soon, ending our temporal lifespan here on Earth.
Lately, Malaysians have been hating their fellow citizens for wanting to sink the ship so to speak!
Malaysians have been caught in a vicious hate trap because some folks amongst us saw fit to take to the streets and to rock the boat called Malaysia.
Parties amongst the population chose to protest and engage in an uprising of sorts against the status quo. Their cause de celebre was the matter of racial and religious marginalization.
Pent up dissatisfactions explodiated on the streets of our nation's capital of Kuala Lumpur and rocked the nation to it's roots, metaphorically speaking.
In the midst of these chosen avenue of popular uprising, many Malaysians unwittingly ended up being targets of scorn and malice.
Persons after persons ended up receiving uncalled for venom and lambasted for no rhyme or reason save that they are the public figures calling the shots and decision makers.
Blogs and alternative website portals became a thriving ground for these venting of frustrations and sort of a cesspool of human spite.
What good comes out of such dementia? Not that much, I am afraid.
Some folks say that it is good to let off steam every now and then in order to remain sane.
Really?
Well, if it is so, then every sick idiot who has a psychological problem would use that excuse or alibi to go around insulting and offending people as they please, using that as a disclaimer.
How convenient!
None does something without knowing deep down in one's mindset as to the gravity of the chosen deed, whether expressed or kept within. Selective choice, I say.
I don't subscribe to such attempts at evading the taking of responsibilities over one's words or expressions.
Putting on a charade of dementia when actually one knows very well as to the implications of one's actions, no matter what act one tries to put up!
The haters amongst us do so with full knowledge as to the course of their actions. The choice of words. The loaded meanings of such words and the intention to cause grievous hurt and harm to their intended victims. No excuses or claims of ignorance must be accepted.
Yet we all know that our courts have never been as firm or as strict as our fellow neighbors and Malaysian judicial system has always proved itself to be the most negotiable judiciary this part of the world.
So, the 31 HINDRAF supporters or as what the defense team puts it as being in the 'wrong place at the wrong time' get to escape prosecution this time around and the BN Government comes across as being so bloody nice by getting the AG to drop all charges on the 5 students and reduced charges on the remaining 26 accused.
Do I smell 'election gimmicks' in the air?
One can't expect things to change so dramatically overnight and have the AG suddenly develop a change of heart after the MIC President meets the PM and asks for reduced and amended charges upon all the 31 fellas?
Could be! Malaysia is known to have all kinds of cock and bull stories taking place lately and this sudden turn of events doesn't really surprise me that much.
Anyway, I wish all 31 HINDRAF supporters a happy awakening of how things can be and why they really need to weigh all the consequences of future rally participations as to whether it is worth their time and effort?
As for the 5 HINDRAF leaders taking a forced siesta at Kamunting courtesy of the Internal Security Minister cum Prime Minister and CEO of Malaysia Incorporated, they should use this break from their rally holding activities to ponder as to whether they were right or grossly wrong in their approach and usage of the wrong terminology to express their causes?
No one's denying that the Indian grassroots are really suffering from lack of proper leadership and attention from their elected representatives especially from the leadership of the Malaysian Indian Congress @ MIC.
There's no use to beat around the bush anymore. No amount of chest thumping by Samy Vellu and his top leaders is going to sweep away the real problems affecting the bulk of the Malaysian Indians who have been getting the short end of the stick all these years.
We have to admit that the nation does practice marginalization openly but the blame can't just be heaped upon UMNO all at once and just them?
What have the MIC top, middle and branch leadership done to solve their grassroot Indian community's problems?
No use in pinpointing this fella, that fella, this leader, that leader anymore!
No point!
Let the recent uprising be a real wake up call to the Malaysian Indian Congress who need to really do what they have been elected and appointed to do!
I am sure that the BN Government has allocated certain portions of the Budget to each Malaysian Community through their elected representatives.
UMNO naturally has been allocated their budget to take care of the Malays, MCA the Chinese and MIC, the Indians.
All the BN coalition parties have their allocated budgets and so do the elected Opposition parties.
From what I learned before, the Opposition MP's and State Assemblemen and women face a firewall in getting the allocation for their constituencies through the respective government departments or agencies.
Project funds requisition forms and files have a nasty habit of getting lost in transition or end up missing like David Copperfield's magic tricks. This is what I heard happening to Opposition MP's projects and plans for their constituencies.
Would really appreciate if any Opposition MP's or Assemblymen or women could share with us their views as to whether this is really the case ?
Now turning my attention to the subject of racial enmity between us. HINDRAF sort of opened a Pandora's Box when they unleashed their agenda to remove Malay supremacy and opened the floodgates of racist venom to spew forth through the numerous websites, blogs and open forums.
It's like open season for HINDRAF supporters and sympathizers to vent their long held contempt for their fellow Malaysians especially the Malays and particularly, those of us who are Indian Muslims.
Tamil Hindus hate Indian Muslims with a vengeance. I will write a special article later on this.
This enmity boils within the hearts and minds of those who have nothing but hatred within their veins. It goes back to the times when Muslims ruled over India for centuries.
The current change of fortunes for Muslims in India is the result of the Indian Muslims kingdoms that fell into ruin when they failed to stem the collapse of the Muslim Kingdoms as a result of the rulers neglect over their subjects and governments.
The Hindus of Malaysia are pissed off to see Indian Muslims making it up the rungs of governmental leadership and the emergence of so many Indian Muslims as BN Government Ministers and top civil servants under the ticket of UMNO.
Their grievances being that the Indian Muslims could merge into UMNO solely for being fellow Muslims with their Malay brethren.
It clouds their judgment and removes compassion and rational thought from their craniums.
Really a pity for in reality, most of these haters aren't exactly the types you'd see piss drunk and blabbering insults and obscenities at practically anyone and anything within their sight or presence.
I know that there are many educated Hindus around especially online for dimwits wouldn't know how to handle a computer or go into web logs or forums.
Belief is a very personal thing and at times it can make or break an individual.
All my life, I have come to appreciate the plethora of Malaysian ethnic, social, cultural and religious diversities that is present here in our motherland.
I seldom have to wake up to the reality that for all the multicultural outlook that I hold and practice in my life without fail, there's always bound to be someone who's not going to look at things in the same perspective as I and those who think like me and choose to be petty and racist in the vilest form possible.
What can I or anyone do for such folks? Nothing.
I prefer not to wrestle with the swine so to speak and let such uncouth vermin be as they choose to be.
It's they who seethe and rage for nothing whilst those of us true blue Malaysians lose no sleep over such distant murmurs especially from anonymous cowards who rant and rampage through blogs and hate sites.
Yes, hate sites! A new term I coined looking at the amount of vitriol and abuse that permeates such web blogs and web sites. Hate sites. You know them by looking at their contents.
I choose to engage and reply to only comments that are reasonable and respectful of observing the proper etiquettes of decent dialogue with anyone, no matter who or what they are?
As for those haters, let them waste their lives away. No point in trying to talk sense into someone who's full of crap and refuse to listen or learn to reason.
Malaysians ought to learn to appreciate what we have and learn not to dwell on petty differences which aren't a matter that could mean the difference between life or death to us.
At the end of the day for folks like me who don't give a shit about government subsidies, this and that, it makes no difference at all!
I earn my own living no matter if it's the BN running the country or PAS and the Opposition.
Only thing I care most is my faith and my fellow adherents. Period.
Others may want to zoom in on this and that but to me I prefer to look at all these developments from a wider perspective and from a view that encompasses all aspects of living my life as a fellow Malaysian citizen.
To HINDRAF folks, learn from this experience and go about your struggles in a more rational, responsible way.
Asking for help from the Brits is akin to committing treachery and those chaps who are said to be legal eagles should know better for the wrong approach to solve their issues will only see their feathers plucked and stored indefinitely by the big boys.
That's it for now. Will be following up on the Hindu - Indian Muslim cold wars soon.
Let's see what Malaysiakini has in it's updates. HINDRAF sure is the main topic there.
If there's anything the fellas could be proud of from their rally is the constant headlines their cause seems to generate in all forms of media, be it from the mainstream ones or from the alternatives.
Interest in Tamil related issues also seems to have risen, thanks to their efforts.
All the best to you folks . Just go about it in a better, more acceptable way. Cheers.
Err..by the way, stop all those labellings of racist, terrorist and fascist. It can backfire too!
We sure wouldn't want to see that happen now, would we?
Rest easy Malaysians. We don't need to sink our ship yet! Keep Malaysia afloat and full steam ahead!
Malaysians Boleh! Hidup dalam aman. Betul tak?
Americans Speak With Forked Tongue - Najib
Reading about the Americans asking Malaysia to accord the HINDRAF leaders held under the Internal Security Act @ ISA full protection under the Malaysian law, be given due process, accorded all rights as per any other citizen and all these be carried out in a speedy transparent manner!" makes me wanna puke!
I have always figured Washington to be full of self righteous double speaking neo-colonialists but to see them issue such a call is simply a vain attempt at being exemplary symbols of democracy gone not only stale but bloody rotten on their side!
Najib hit it right square on their head when he asked the Americans to please do the same to the Muslim captives they are holding at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba without trial!
Now, if that ain't the American ISA, then I don't see why the Americans need to speak with a forked tongue and ask us to handle our own Homeland Security matters in a manner that we know best?
Talk about doublespeak and hypocritical foolhardiness!
It's a matter of knowing when not to interfere in other nation's business and minding one's own internal affairs first before getting so bloody itchy to meddle in other countries problems!
As it is America has long lost it's locus standi to speak about fairness and democracy when it is the perpetrator of so many wars and massacre of civilian populations of so many sovereign countries all around the world.
Americans have killed more human beings than any other nations of the world under the pretext of liberating them from their 'dictators'.
Latest on their list of murdered democracies is the nation of Iraq!
America atom bombed the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, obliterating hundreds of thousands of innocent Japanese civilians in World War 2.
America massacred millions of Vietnamese under pretext of fighting against the Communist forces of Northern Vietnam.
America carpet bombed Afghanistan and reduced the already impoverished nation back to the stone age, so to speak!
I can keep going on but I guess my message has already been said. Well done USA!
As for the local threat to our Malaysian National Security, please let us handle our own home grown headaches.
If America really wants to do Malaysia a huge favor, by all means you can have all the HINDRAF chaps and bring them over to the US of A.
You might also might to want to airlift the rest of the supporters home to the States as what good are such HINDRAF leaders without their merry men and women?
By the way, don't forget to set them up with a million bucks each to make up for all the 50 years that they have suffered under the hands of the UMNO dictators of Malaysia!
There's another matter of allocating some real estate but I will let it slide.
Tch..tch..tch..naughty, naughty Malaysia. How can you treat such fine folks this way?
Tell you what Pak Lah? Just sign them over to 'Uncle Sam'.
They will have a glorious future over there!
Isn't that what America is all about?
The land of opportunity and the home of the brave -cuckoo called George Wacko Bush Jr!
He who choked on a bloody pretzel and would have almost saved the whole wide world the trouble of having another mindless and uncalled for war which the idiot is trying to instigate against the Iranians?
I bet that Mrs.Clinton might give Dubya a real hard time if they were ever to engage in a Presidential debate!
If she can survive having her husband two time her and stolidly declare to the whole wide amused world that he did not have sexual relations with that woman called Monica Lewinsky, she sure would have no problems dealing with Wacko Bush Jr.!
Poor George would be bloody clueless as to what to say until and unless someone coaches him over the wireless!
Now, that would be more appropriate for the Americans to handle rather than go about the world trying to teach others as to how to run their affairs?
Wouldn't it?
Good one Najib!
If only our Premier had some of your spunk?
They say that Najib has a backseat driver telling him what to say or do?
If he really spoke on his own accord as reported here, then better tell that 'backseat driver' to watch it lest he pulls a stunt as what Adnan Yaacob has been alleged to have done?
Hehehehehe....
Modern Day Jahiliyah's - Some Malays and Indian Muslims are Masters of it!
Ibn Hazam al-Andalusee (rahima-hullaah) mentions:
((A man who is a miser with his knowledge is worse than a man who is a miser with his money, for the money-miser is afraid of using up what he possesses but the knowledge-miser is being mean with something which does not get used up and is not lost when it is given away)).
al-Akhlaaq was-Siyar - Ibn Hazam al-Andalusee
Ref: Fatwa-Online
I know that the title of this article is going to rile some folks amongst the Malaysian Ummah here but I feel that it is high time someone raises this issue and try to create an awareness about the many acts of the Era of Ignorance @ Jahiliyyah which is growing amongst the Malays and the Indian Muslims community here.Not to say that these Malays and Indian Muslims are totally ignorant and oblivious to the forbidding in Islam against doing all such nonsense that many amongst such folks are committing but it is more of a sense of stubbornness on their parts to listen to advice.
Among the obvious acts of khurafat that these recalcitrants do without fail is the act of placing their trusts on talismans and charms.
Restaurant and eatery owners are notorious for such blatant acts of believing in these clearly haram acts and this stubbornness on their part to keep on doing so are quite visible in their premises.
They display frames containing copper tooling verses and diagrams produced by Bomoh's @ Shamans and trust such worthless charms to protect their premises from getting the 'evil eye' from their competitors and enemies.
Even at fast food premises owned by Malays in shopping centres, you will come across such charms placed at strategic places in their shops.
This khurafat acts are practiced vigorously by both the Malays and Indian Muslim restaurant owners.
Woe betide any 'alim' who tries to advice such folks!
Their faces will at once turn unpleasant and they would either dismiss off such good intentioned Muslims immediately by asking them to mind their own business or would give cock and bull excuses that they are just making efforts to protect their business ventures.
The usual standard excuse is that 'Kami berikhtiar saja!' @ 'We are just making a preventive effort'.
So, that's about all that the well meaning Muslim could do. He or she would have done their part in preventing the ongoing acts of khurafat that is still practiced by Muslims including by those who have performed their Hajj pilgrimage to Makkah Al Mukarramah and Madinah Al Munawwarah.
The title of 'Haji' or 'Hajjah' does not stop these ignorants from carrying out such forbidden acts after they have successfully performed their pilgrimage which is intended to cleanse and purify oneself from sins and return home sin free and live a life that is more inclined to uphold that of a good Muslim and Muslimah, pending the final day of one's life.
When one places his or her trust on anything else besides Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, then he or she has committed Shirik, a major sin in Islam.
So, who do we blame for these forbidden acts? Can the Islamic Affairs Department be bothered to go door to door taking action against such recalcitrants?
We all know that would be not only a waste of time but totally useless for such kind would only return to displaying such frames containing the charmed verses once the authorities have left.
I sure hope that the Islamic Affairs Department get RTM through JAKIM to produce informative programs that detail such khurafat acts and explain to the misguided ones amongst the Malaysian Muslims that doing such things are wrong and they must stop it!!!
Another craziness that some Malays are doing is their act of dyeing their hairs or streaks of it blond!
Not only do such Malays look stupid, they don't look good dyeing their hair so!
What a pity that in these modern times, there are still so many Jahiliyyahs amongst us who do not have a clue as to what is allowed and what is forbidden in Islam?
Converts to Islam here in Malaysia are so much more better informed than these Malays who are born as Muslims but know almost nothing about Islam!
Reason being is that these folks think that just because they are Malays, they are naturally better Muslims than converts or Muslims from other ethnicities!
Such is their misleading beliefs that no one can come correct them or that when they die, they won't be thrown into Hellfire because they are Malays?
Utter poppycock!
Islam is colorblind and Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala created us in so many different tribes and ethnicities so that we might learn to establish connections between one another and to uphold Islam and invite one another to goodness and unite to forbid evil and misguidance.
Muslims need to break out of such misguidance and start living as true Muslims here and elsewhere.
Islam is a faith that does not differentiate between skin color, eye color or social status!
It makes no difference if one is a royal or a commoner. Peel off the human skin and the muscular structure and all other organs and what do we see? The same bone structure and reality of our equality.
There is no higher class or lower class in Islam.
The only difference is whether one is a Mukmin or a Kaffir?
Munafiqs @ Hypocrites are even worse than a Kaffir because a Kaffir declares his or her disbelief straight up whilst the Munafiq is one who declares outwardly of being Muslim but works from inside the Ummah to derail Islam. Treachery is surely abhorred by every rational society and punishable by death!
That's about it.
My call to the concerned Malays and Indian Muslims is to please stop all these nonsense.
I received an email the other day from a Muslim asking me why some Indian Muslim restaurants aren't closed during Friday prayers?
Since when did I become the Indian Muslim Restaurant Owners Association's spokesman?
Hahahahaha!
I myself have realized that some of these Indian Muslim and even Malay restaurant owners who do not pray the Friday prayers as when I passed by such places I saw them there and when I returned from the masjid's, they are still there, operating their businesses without a care about the Commandments of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala or the Call of the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam!
I replied to the email sender to please contact JAKIM and address his grievances to the proper authorities.
There are just so many things going on in our nation which makes us grumble deep within because of these ignorant masses.
Imams are no longer respected because of their failure to enjoin the Good and Forbid the Bad in the real sense.
It's not enough to claim that one has studied so many Thanawi's and has Degrees and Masters to fill up one's wall but does nothing concrete as to help guide the recalcitrants amongst the Ummah!
We sure have hundreds of thousands of such highly educated Muslims but there is an irony that all these scholars fail to do their bit for the salvation of the Muslims!
Islam is Nasihah and when such 'Alim's' no longer have it in them to go into our society and engage with the Ummah directly, this is the end result.
Ignorance and Jahiliyyah practices run riot and the emergence of a new kind of 'Muslims'.
MINO's! Muslims In Name Only.
Does the Islamic Affairs Authorities care?
I seriously hope that they start doing so failing which just wait for the 'Bala and Musibah' from Allah to come wake us up!
As we have seen, Malaysia has already started to experience disasters that were unknown previously in our history.
The Dec 2004 Tsunami was sort of an eye opener but still Malaysians didn't give a hoot about such a disaster.
Bukit Tinggi, Pahang has started to experience tremors ranging between 2 to 3 on the Richter Scale.
Do you think that the ignorant masses amongst the Malays and Indian Muslims would wake up to such ominous signs and start correcting their ways?
Don't raise your hopes.
As the world gets closer to Yaum al Akhir, the bulk of mankind are prophesied by Rasul Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam to be in worse situations.
The Jahiliyyah Malays and Indian Muslims would definitely be amongst the top contenders to be amongst such folks IF they do not stop the nonsense and return to the rightful Way of Life enjoined in Islam.
May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala bless them with His Taufik and Hidayah and Guide them back to the Way of Haqq and Save them from further Ignorance and Narr Al Jahannam!
Ameen. Ya Rabbal Alameen.
Malaysian Political Diaspora - As I See It!
Never has our nation seen the grassroots Malaysian population coming together under a common root cause of seeking a change in the way this nation is run.
Sometimes general changes in any one nation are the fruits of a few determined individuals instead of waiting for the majority to rally to a cause.
It's usually proven in cases which involve dramatic changes in a society. History records such changes taking place because of very dedicated sincere individuals who go about effecting such changes in their struggle to introduce changes in their lives according to their beliefs or as a result of wanting to break free from tyranny and oppression.
We are seeing an upheaval of similar struggles by certain groups of the Malaysian political activists especially from a loose coalition of the Opposition parties, NGO's and HINDRAF.
HINDRAF is an unregistered nationwide movement of Malaysian Hindus led by a few Malaysian Indian Hindu lawyers who feel that they have been sidelined from the national growth by the elected Malaysian Indian Congress Indian ethnic party as a result of being dictated to by UMNO, the main Malay majority political party which dictates to the Barisan Nasional as to how it goes about it's way in running the Malaysian Indian ethnic affairs?
We all know as to what has taken place since the major HINDRAF rally on Sunday, the 25th of November, 2007 and the subsequent chain of events following it and the arrest of HINDRAF's main leaders under the Internal Security Act recently.
Personally, I think that the HINDRAF leaders screwed up big time by using the wrong choice of words to state their causes and their preposterous demands for trillions of pounds in compensation from the United Kingdom, Malaysia's former Colonial Master who were responsible in bringing to then British Malaya, their forefathers as labourers to work in the rubber estates and road builders.
For lawyers to go about using such caustic inciting insensitive terms to castigate the Malays in UMNO and generally insulting the Muslim population of Malaysia by their general accusations of systematic 'ethnic cleansing' of the Tamil Hindus here in Malaysia, HINDRAF's leaders have actually destroyed any chances of them being supported by the general Malaysian people.
The HINDRAF leaders brought about their own downfall from being taken seriously by Malaysians in general as a result of their diarrhea of the lips so to speak!
I know that what they are unhappy about has some grounds in the sense that naturally anyone would be pissed off if their religious places of worship are bulldozed to the ground but surely they should also look into the reasons for such demolishing?
I read about HINDRAF stating that there's a temple getting demolished by the state authorities every three weeks all over the nation!
Where's the proof?
Stating something as distressing as that must be backed up by official proof! Since HINDRAF has their own website available, then as learned lawyers, surely they would be capable of backing up their claims with solid evidence and not just hearsay or unfounded allegations that seem more like shooting in the wind blindly!
Another main point that any rational sane person would ask is the legal basis for defending any illegally built structure on land that is not their own or even if the land is their's , failure to comply with the legislations and local authorities guidelines in raising such religious establishments in the first place?
Surely every law abiding person anywhere in the world would agree that when we live in a country that has laws and regulations covering each and every aspect of living as rightful citizens of their country, we are obliged to submit and adhere to all such rules and agreed principles that are passed by the statutes of their local councils and Parliament.
Failure to follow such laws will see us penalised by the local authorities and such was the state received by all those illegal temples, surau's and even mosques in this nation.
Until and unless we live on our own private island and have all the legal authority to do as we please in our own private island or kingdom, we have no choice but to live by the laws prevalent upon us by the local government.
To read about tens of thousands of Hindu temples being systematically destroyed by the state governments here in Malaysia is very distressing.
The question is whether this is a fabrication or sensationalization by HINDRAF's leaders?
If these allegations are false, then the Malaysian Government ought to come out with their white paper on the real situation regarding such demolishings of Hindu temples as per the official records of such actions.
I know that the authorities have destroyed surau's or mosques in many states on grounds that such surau's or mosques were built without official permission from the local councils or Islamic authorities as shown by one example here.
I have heard about other religious places such as unregistered churches being penalized for not abiding by the local authority rulings, etc.
Most of us understand the reasons given by the local authorities and the need to have all religious buildings and establishments be built and operated within agreed guidelines and not encroach into the other faith's radius of establishment.
A matter of ensuring cordial co-existence and not become a source of irritation to the different faith's adherents as seen in the Kg.Rawa incident in Penang where the Masjid Jamek Kg.Rawa and illegal Hindu temple became a major conflict between Muslims and Hindus due to such establishment of that temple!
HINDRAF's leaders ought to take all that into consideration before fanning the flames of discontentment amongst their supporters.
We have all lived in relative peace amongst the various ethnics and faiths all these years. I sure hope that we continue to live in understanding and mutual respect in the coming years and till the Last Day, Insya Allah.
Destroying a nation is very easy and Iraq is a glaring proof of that as a result of allowing a modern day neo-colonial superpower such as the United States of America invade and occupy that country whilst flying the banner of 'Freedom and Liberty' beguiling the Iraqi masses to shower rose petals upon the invading US army and their allied rogue forces from other nations in the early days of 'Operation Iraqi Liberation' @ OIL!
What's the state of Iraq today?
Total devastation and American Imperialism Unlimited! Who has the power and military strength to stop America today?
Although the Arab nations have been blessed with all the oil wealth by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, they are nothing but disunited cowards who only bother about taking care of their own borders and mind their own business unlike Christian nations who have united as a European Union and signed treaties amongst them to safeguard their own interests.
The Arab League and OIC are just a sham. Recalcitrant self opinionated leaders and rulers of the so called Muslim nations who do not have the ability to even pull a nose hair from the nostrils of the warmongering maniac they have over there in the White House of Washington, USA!
Today, we see our own Malaysians rooting for the foreign powers to come interfere and invade our nation just because they aren't happy with the Barisan Nasional!
I have been saying from day one that to see a change of power here in Malaysia, the only viable platform to do that is through the ballot boxes in the General Elections.
Some of my fellow bloggers disagree and say that it is cowardice to speak like that!
The only ones with balls are the ones who walk the streets with banners and posters decrying the BN dictators and after an hour or so protesting at the top of their voices , return to the comfort of their homes or gather at the coffeehouses or pubs to down a pint or two celebrating their success in socking 'it' to the BN!
Really? Has any BN leader committed 'harakiri' or jumped from the Putrajaya Ministries as a result of being 'shamed' by the protesting grassroots or Opposition political parties so far?
Let's say we have half a million of Malaysians taking to the streets of this nation and wear all kinds of protest T shirts or unfurl mile long banners or posters pasted all over their bodies condemning every idiot they aren't happy with and insult them using all the loudest loudhailers we have on the market, does it guarantee any change overnight for us, the Malaysian people?
I think that if we are to see real change take place in the next GE, the learned ones amongst the Malaysian Opposition ought to go about it in the rational, benefiting way.
The IGP is reported to have consented to giving permits for the Opposition parties and NGO's to hold their talks and forums in stadiums and other avenues if they really want to hold such protests?
I say why not?
If the fear is that the authorities will be able to identify the protesters and come after them later, what difference is there from being videotaped or photographed in the streets and later be arrested for taking part in illegal rallies?
I mean, if they really want to come after us, what is stopping them from tracing us to our homes and serve us the warrant of arrest under whatever act is present and we are guilty of such illegal acts?
Rather than give them grounds to charge us on such irrefutable evidence of wrongful acts, why not go about it using their permits and speak up if we really have the courage and conviction of our beliefs and principles?
I don't think it's wise to accuse anyone of anything unless we are really free from faults ourselves.
Who can stand up and say that we are sin free and totally blameless for allowing our nation to become what it is today?
When we see any injustice take place before us, have we done what the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam enjoined upon us?
"Whoever among you sees wrongdoing (munkar), let him correct it with his hand. If he is unable to do that, then let him correct it with his tongue. If he is unable to do that, then let him correct it with his heart and there is not a single grain of faith beyond that."
The way I see it , sadly this is no longer the norm in our country and amongst the people nowadays.
Used to be a situation where Malaysians used to care about each other and advice anyone whom they saw doing anything wrong using wisdom and tact in doing so.
Neighbors cared about their fellow Malaysians and would look out for one another and even put themselves at risk in defending them from any harm. People were sincere back then and held each other in trust no matter that they were from different ethnicities and creed.
Sadly, this is no longer the case today. Malaysians have lost that loving feeling and many have exhibited insincerity towards not only their neighbors but even towards their own family members what more towards their fellow Malaysians!
Breach of trust takes place every so often these days and rising crimes of incest are prevalent amongst the masses especially amongst the Malays.
Even other ethnic Malaysians aren't that righteous nowadays and socially, every part of our society suffers in one form or the other as a result of the disappearance of such good habits and traditions of yesteryears.
Violent crimes are becoming the norm nowadays and a major cause for this is the fading compassion in our hearts and minds.
We are suffering like these because our rulers and leaders failed to obey the Supreme Constitution of Almighty Allah as laid out in so many verses of the Holy Qur'an.
One such commanding verse is as follows :
104. Waltakun minkum ommatun yadAAoona ila alkhayri waya/muroona bialmaAAroofi wayanhawna AAani almunkari waola-ika humu almuflihoona
104. Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong: They are the ones to attain felicity.
Surah Al-Imran. Chapter 3 Verse 104.I don't have to spell it out but the Malay Sultans and the Prime Ministers of this land have failed to really put this to practice.
Wealth and the spoils of this nation are unfairly being distributed amongst themselves and only a wee fraction is being allocated to the citizens of this country.
Yes, we aren't as bad as many other nations in the world today but where is the fairness in government?
If we are truly sincere to ourselves and each Malaysian Prime Minister truly honest in their administration, they have to admit that they have not really accomplished what Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has enjoined upon them?
There still exists a huge disparity between the various ethnicities. The Malaysian grassroots are still left out from getting their fair share of the progress and developments attained by this nation.
I am talking about all ethnicities, not just about the Indians languishing in the estates or the rural Malays who are suffering in the kampong's.
There are still suffering Malaysian Chinese living in the cities and towns of this nation without proper attention from the elected and appointed officials from the MCA, GERAKAN and other representatives in the BN Malaysian Government.
I dare say that many other ethnicities out there are still left out from getting their fair share of benefits of living under the BN government.
The thing is that even if we have a change in government, is there any guarantee that the new government will be able to provide for all Malaysians?
We might then see the incumbents protesting against the new government just as we are seeing the current protesters from the Opposition parties and NGO's ribbing the incumbent BN!
At the end of the day, we will all be back at square one.
I hope that the BN Government recognizes that corrections do need to be done in the administration especially at the local councils and grassroot government representations such as the JKKK @ Jawatankuasa Keselamatan dan Kemajuan Kampong in the rural areas and government department and bodies who are responsible towards the welfare of city dwellers.
The BN have been monopolizing power all these years and from the looks of it, will continue doing so in the near future.
Here's an interesting video I came across in You Tube.
I don't like the soundtrack used in the video but the relativity of the scenes and contents depicted is what makes me post this clip here for you to see and contemplate as to its meanings?
Do you now see why these fellas in the BN go all out to defend their seats of power?
They don't give a shit about some estate uncles and kampong pakciks protesting on the streets!
They are happy enough ass kissing anyone they need to in order to continue their lifestyles of the bloody rich and infamous.
To the BN's leaders, some words of advice.
Grouses from the grassroots need to be given attention appropriately. Rhetoric doesn't change anything for anyone.
Appointed and elected officials need to buck up and do what they are paid to do exactly and do so in a manner that is fair and unbiased.
If everyone is treated equally and not based upon their skin color, creed or social status, life would not be that frustrating for the protesting masses and overall, the nation will see less strife crop up amongst the population.
At the same time, ethnic leaders must see to it that their community do not go about creating time bombs in our lives by acting irresponsibly by advocating transgressions against the laws and rulings of the local authorities.
The core problem plaguing the Indians are the matter of their illegally built temples facing demolishing by the local and state authorities. The root matter is illegality.
I do not believe that the Malaysian authorities would be so stupid as to go and break down any legally built religious establishment!
That would be committing political suicide. Surely they know that they would be kicked out in the next GE if they did that?
A matter of concern is the high handed manner used by certain members of the FRU, local council enforcement officers and other authorities.
I understand that each member of such security forces face extreme danger in going about their tasks and in the heat of the moment, one can never really guarantee being able to control oneself from acting naturally and be defensive or offensive given the gravity of the circumstances!
You don't have time to say 'Excuse me ! Don't do that!' when you are facing an enraged violent mob smashing bricks to your face!
What took place in the HINDRAF rally on November the 25th, 2007 was a clear example of things getting out of hand and something that was just waiting to happen as a result of all the racially and religiously fueled speeches made by the HINDRAF leaders to the Indian Hindu masses who gathered around them identifying with the speakers as to their sorry state of affairs plaguing their lives.
So, given the growing resentment amongst the Hindus and the equally displeased Malaysian government authorities, the constant build up by the BERSIH rally before them, enamoured the HINDRAF supporters and their leaders that they too can get away with their protests and they went about it with a vehemence that saw them getting dispersed by force by the FRU and other units of the Malaysian Police Force!
It's what enforcement officers are trained to do when facing or handling a mob, isn't it?
Anyway, we all know that HINDRAF leaders are now held under the ISA at Kamunting and the nation is seeing a sense of calmness taking place in society on the surface but I am sure that HINDRAF's supporters are seething deep within.
Damage control is needed to heal the gaping wounds of the policemen and also those suffered by the protesters.
It is at this moment in time that we need to see the Malaysian Premier show us what he is capable of and stop trying to be a nice guy.
Nice guys don't make good leaders. A firm, informed, capable leader who is fair towards all is what we need right now.
Whoever holds power and authority today must remember that he will be held accountable for his deeds or misdeeds.
Rewards and punishments are being meted out right before us in our lives and Abdullah Badawi must take into consideration all the views and complaints from us Malaysians and do the right thing for the nation.
The Malaysian Political Diaspora as I see it.
UMNO will continue calling the shots albeit the recent protests and dissatisfactions of the Opposition masses.
MCA will still be doing their thing as they have been doing all these years. They won't rock the boat so to speak because as far as they are concerned, as long as they can earn a living and live a lifestyle that is acceptable, they are satisfied.
MIC will still be as they are as long as Samy Vellu calls the shots and from the looks of it will die in office as the Works Minister and remain as the MIC President till he kicks the bucket.
Not one MIC leader will dare to oppose the chap for his influence is exactly as what some Tamil films depict. Only when he is not around anymore will the MIC see a relaxed atmosphere amongst its members. At the moment, Big Samy Rulez!
We all know the fate of all his challengers! Right now, all those ass kissing 'supporters' who sing King Samy's praises are theatre performers extraordinaire! I saw a book dedicated to Samy the other day at the MPH Bookstore where only his 'admirers' are shown singing praises to him from the cover to the last page in that book which has been published by one of his stolid admirers, a Mrs. Something!
I guess, if the local authorities didn't have a problem with the erection of statues dedicated to living persons, there'd have been a Samy Vellu Idol right here in Malaysia.
So, that will have to remain a dream for King Samy's apple polishers. For now.
GERAKAN used to be interesting when Keng Yaik, the machine gun mouthed Senior Minister was running the show. Koh Tsu Koon is too much of a 'play safe' chappie who would trip over himself in playing homage to Yang Amat Berhormat, Dato Seri!
As it is , Tsu Koon is not someone you can expect to see any kick ass statements coming from! He's either too careful or simply does not have it in him to make the headlines with any out of the norm opinions or statements that might cause the paparazzi to flock over him!
Kayveas is one interesting PPP President and I believe to be the only dynamic politician from that party. His words are eagerly awaited by the press and he is known to sock it to them when speaking about matters of the day or with anything that catches his attention and interest!
A daredevil BN Deputy Minister who really deserves a full Ministership given his bravado and courage in tackling sensitive matters that many other leaders of the BN shy away and keep giving the cock and bull excuse of 'No Comment!'.
He is always in the newspapers for the wrong reasons and his presence is surely good for the nation.
Another notable politician is YB Ong Tee Kiat , who is from the MCA. Tee Kiat and Kayveas are notable Malaysian politicians who are known to speak their minds and getting grilled by the BN Backbenchers for their spunk!
YB Shahrir Samad is also known for his bravado in issuing sensational statements that at times boomerang from within the BN circle and hit the butts of prominent BN politicians just the same!
He quit his BN Backbenchers chairmanship due to such incidents where he questioned the BN more earnestly than even some diehard Opposition nitpickers in the Malaysian Parliament! A politician worthy to take note of?
There are many BN buffoons in Parliament who deserve no mention here. You all know who the hell those clowns are? I don't wish to see those clown appearing again in the Malaysian Political sphere come the next GE!
If they still get re-elected in their constituencies, there must surely be some monkey business orchestrated by either the Elections Commission or some toyols let loose by some party! What a bloody shame if that tragedy takes place again in our nation.
Crossing over to the Opposition camps.
The DAP are infamous for their anti-Islam stand and they have been consistent from day one of being the nation's utmost faultfinders with just about anything that the BN government does!
I have yet to see or hear of the DAP contributing anything to the Muslims of this land or to any other people save for protesting with them and raising of banners and issues with the 'people'. Much good it does to the problems raised by such folks.
PAS is consistent with their call to uphold the Call to establish an Islamic Nation here in Malaysia from day one of their coming into being. You have to give it to them for their commitment.
How do they propose to going about it remains a closely guarded secret for if you were to go ask any Malaysian today especially amongst the Non Muslims, they say that they do not have any idea as to what an Islamic Nation would be like as proposed by PAS?
I think PAS needs to explore more platforms to send across its true plans and programs to all Malaysians. The firewall between them and the masses is for the moment being just solid and too concrete to break through.
PAS leaders need to go about capturing the people's hearts and minds if they want to break out of that self imposed isolation as a result of certain policies of the past.
I don't know much about PKR and from what little I have learned about it is that I know many of its leaders right now to be has beens from UMNO and young political aspirants with grandiose dreams of power, fame and fortune. Good luck!
You read about all these in Malaysiakini and wonder it this is all that the Malaysian Political Diaspora have to offer?
I sure hope that Malaysiakini doesn't end up being known as the 'Bad News Brown' of the alternative media.
The English version of HARAKAH, the PAS official media that has more bad news than positive ones any given day.
I look forward to reading or viewing positive feedback from Malaysiakini in the future because if we really want to , we can see such aspects of our Malaysian realities at the same moment that we look out for all that takes place here.
Malaysia Today is as always a brew of all kinds of opinions and mix and match of blog postings, news reports and just about anything under the sun that any disgruntled Malaysian cyber commentator has to unload and unleash unto its readers. To each their own, I say.
The Opposition would do well to behave in a manner that shows whether they deserve being given a chance to rule over us and as to whether they have the capability to be better than the BN?
As long as we don't see anyone capable of winning over our hearts and minds by coming out with a rational, reasonable, practical manifesto, I for one will not be endorsing any Ahmad, Ah Seng or Samy!
I live in Cheras so you know that any anti-Islam chappie surely won't be getting my vote!
Period!
I am a Muslim and I love my faith above anything else.
Innad Deen na ind Allah hal Islam!
Verily before Allah the only Faith accepted is Islam.
Even then, as a Muslim, I am also commanded by Almighty Allah to be the best towards my fellow human beings and Alhamdulillah, I have yet to come to a stage where I hate someone based purely on the matter of his or her belief which is not Islam.
Hate is a fundamental human reaction and one would be a bloody hypocrite if one says that one doesn't hate, perse.
I do not like certain individuals for the way they behave, act and spew out certain statements and opinions without due cause or the need to?
Yet, I don't lose sleep over such beings because it would be a total waste of my time in doing so.
I love meaningful engagements with decent folks who even when they do not ascribe to what Islam stands for still have it in them to discuss and dialog with myself in a proper manner.
We can agree to disagree on anything. That's the measure of being a decent human being otherwise we would be no better than an uncultured riff raff.
As we go about in trying to see a change in our beloved nation, I ask that we do not end up in a worse off situation than what we currently are in. That's all.
I hope that's not too much to ask or hope for?
Al-Fatihah! In memory of 'Babah'@ Hj.Said bin Hj.Ahmad
Al-Fatihah!
We received news yesterday afternoon that 'Babah' @ Hj.Said bin Hj.Ahmad, my wife's uncle had passed away at Hospital Pekan, Pahang due to old age complications.
I had just met Babah on Saturday, November the 24th and managed to take a video recording of him with me at the Majlis Aqiqah of our grand nephew Mohd.Isaac AlFayed Cheong at my relatives residence in Kuantan.
I loved being with Babah and cherish the moments I got to engage with him before. He was in his late eighties.
We were on our way to Kuantan last night to attend his funeral which was scheduled to be held this Friday morning but due to the rising flood waters which had cut off the East Coast Highway at Lanchang, we had to sadly cancel our plans and return home here to KL.
Even Babah's janazah had to be airlifted by helicopter to his home in Kuantan as the bridge to Pekan was inundated with rising floodwaters and travel by road was virtually impossible to all traffic.
We returned home to KL in the early hours this morning.
Babah will surely be missed by all of us, especially me who loved listening to him as he shared with me about things from the past.
May his soul be blessed by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and be placed with those upon whom rests the Mercies and Blessings of Ar Rahman. Ameen.
Al-Fatihah.
Celebrating Malaysiana- Taking a break from all current heartaches.
I sincerely wish that those of you reading this posting are in the best of health and safe from harm. Ameen.
This morning's article intends to stay away from the current maladies affecting Malaysians in general.
I am getting sick of all the current heartaches brewing in our nation. The endless civil disturbances being unleashed unto our lives makes me yearn for some peace and tranquility.
After all, it is not me clamoring for power and position. Those who want to wreak havoc in our Malaysian way of life won't listen to reason and the bloody government we have right now are too damn egoistic to listen to the people's cries and are just recalcitrants!
As the saying goes, 'Gajah sama gajah berjuang ; pelandok mati tersepit ditengah!'
meaning 'When the elephants go smashing onto each other, it is the mousedeer that dies squashed in between'. Go figure!
The power struggle will continue between the BN and the BA till Doomsday! Those who are hungry for power and position, go ahead! Go beat each other's brains out!
I want to take 5. Take a break. Time to reminisce on all the lovely heartwarming scenes around us.
Let's take a tour of the things we are failing to notice and appreciate. Time for some soothing, refreshing scenes of Malaysiana.
Scenes that you will find in days gone by but still present in some outskirts of big cities like KL, Ipoh, Penang, etc. Come journey with me through these pleasing scenes. Relax and unwind.
Remember scenes like this? You can still have a haircut under the trees , right here in KL. No fancy airconditioned barbershop charging you RM10 a haircut.
This old Malay barber will trim your hair for just RM5. You can find him at the side of the carpark behind the Medan Selera of Bandar Tun Razak.
When he passes away, such a cheap barber service will die away with him. Malaysia is fast running out of traditions of a past that was much more easier, affordable way of life.
You can still find tropical fruit stalls like these here in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur. This particular stall is located at Taman Tenaga, Cheras, KL.
Bananas, papayas, lemons, turnips, jackfruits, watermelons, mangoes, chikus, coconuts, sugarcane, lychees, longans,etc. are sold at still reasonable prices. Way much cheaper than at the supermarkets and hypermarkets that have sprouted here and there in modern suburbia's.
You can't miss seeing our Malaysian Indian florists carrying on their trade at Jalan Masjid India, near the Police Booth in central Masjid India.
Flowers always are a pleasing sight to behold and some flowers such as roses and jasmine are therapeutic to us by way of them emitting fragrances which soothes and calms the mind.
Flowers are quite a pleasure to have, hold and give away as a token of love and for Hindus and Buddhists, a part of their prayer rituals.
I don't know about you but for me the sight of a coconut palm tree against a clear blue sky with it's palm leaves swaying about blown by a lovely refreshing breeze tends to make me forget all my troubles for a while and takes me back in time when I was just a small kid playing about in my kampong of Jalan Kota Giam, Jelutong Timur, Penang Island.
I and my friend Wan Ali would be sailing out to sea on my small raft, without a worry about this bills and that?
Life was simple and easy. Sort of a Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn situation. Carefree days of old in the 60's when Malaysian life was much more stress free and costs of living weren't as they are now. How I wish for similar peace and tranquility right now amidst these stressful times!
Come Friday, I cherish seeing scenes like this when Muslims gather at the mosque and get some relief from their everyday challenges from the socio-politico-religious matters affecting us.
Surrendering oneself to the Mercy and Blessings of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala clears away a major portion of the ills and worries of modern day living from our hearts and minds. Alhamdulillah. Nafsul mutma'innah. A tranquil heart. Worth much more than anything else.
Encik Nasrul, a friend of mine who is a Bank Rakyat officer striding cheerfully with another colleague of his, coming to offer his prayers at Masjid Saiyidina Othman, Bandar Tun Razak, one of my favorite masjid's here in KL.
Muslims coming in to join the congregational Friday prayers at Masjid Saiyidina Othman, Bandar Tun Razak. The fella in the white skullcap seems surprised to see himself being photographed!
Hehehehehe...Sometimes people still act as if it's something extraordinary to take photographs of common scenes such as this.
See the chap looking at the camera in this shot? Same reaction! Hehehehehe...smile! You are on Mahaguru58's camera!
Yet, I know that each moment, each opportunity to preserve such moments must not be missed as times and situations keep changing for us Malaysians and it is important to keep them for the benefit of future generations. So, if you see me aiming my camera at you, please smile! :)
You are going to be preserved in history as part and parcel of all things Malaysiana!
These three friends are enjoying cool drinks in the shade of the trees outside the masjid. See the prayer carpet atop the kid's head at the left corner of this picture?
This is a standard practice by those who come prepared with their own 'sejadah' prayer carpets every Friday in mosques all over the nation. Doubles up as a protection from the midday scorching noon sun and also when a sudden shower befalls us in this tropical climate.
I called out to him and as he turned to look at me, I snapped his bemused look as he realized that he was being photographed! Precious!
The Rojak and Cendol Mamak mobile stall is a common sight at most masjids here in KL and its suburban areas. Muslims flock to such traders for a quick simple lunch costing average of RM3.00 a plate and RM1.00 for a bowl of 'cendol'.
Cendol consists of a shaven ice mix of boiled sweetened red beans, peanuts, glutinous rice sweetmeats, coconut milk, brown sugar syrup.
Nasrul and friends enjoying their inpromptu lunch under the trees. We have eye contact with the fella in the light purple Baju Melayu! Hehehehehe...photographer conscious, eh?
Well, that's it for this morning. I hope you have enjoyed feasting your eyes and calmed your nerves appreciating all these scenes in our beloved nation. Let's preserve a sense of rationality in our mindsets as we strive to improve our conditions as responsible Malaysian citizens.
I wish that Malaysians can learn to appreciate what we have before we lose it forever. Whilst striving for a freer Malaysia, don't forget to preserve and treasure our own special way of life that is unique to us all.
Don't you agree? Well, I sure hope that I am not the only one who feels this way? Okay then.
Have a nice day folks. Live and let live and cherish your loved ones. Insya Allah.
PM Abdullah Badawi -'The honeymoon is over!'
It had to happen! All these while Malaysians had been having it their way as they thought that the current PM is no Mahathir! They thought that they could play, play as they wished!
Hehehehehehe...well, wake up folks! The honeymoon is over!
Everyone was thinking that it's okay to demonstrate! Mr.Nice Guy won't mind!
Hell! He even allowed the justice system to free Anwar Ibrahim, who if Mahathir was still calling the shots, would be still counting the bars and looking at the sky through the cell window, if there was one?
C'mon people...let's be a bit realistic.
There's no way any government would simply let it's detractors have it their way all these while and we have been lambasting the fella day in, day out without fail!
I mean, the guy's just as human as any one of us!
Sooner or later, the sugar coated smile was sure going to wear out and show it's true colors!
Well now, it's coming out time!
Abdullah Badawi's honeymoon is over!
When push comes to shove, the big boy is sure going to kick ass!
I mean, who wouldn't?
Personally, he might not be as mean and firm as Mahathir was but eventually he has realized that if things are to be, it is up to him to lay down the law and thus all the latest protests after protests has sure riled up the fellow that he has finally come to his senses and has done what any BN Prime Minister would do?
We have yet to see this nation be run by an Opposition Prime Minister and from the looks of things, I don't think that I will see it in my lifetime.
Change does not take place overnight.
Malaysians who think that just because the Opposition, the Malaysian Bar Council, NGO's and pressure groups are starting to stir up the public into joining them in rallies and street protests which have yet to be given any permits, the situation in the coming GE is going to change, are just building castles in the sky!
The opposing public have yet to come to a stage where there is a possibility of affecting the outcome of the coming GE. In a democracy, the majority wins!
Dissatisfactions are only burning up and boiling in the hearts and minds of all those who are mentioned above. Is there any chance of seeing situations change for the nation overnight?
I don't think so.
As I was saying in my earlier posts, sure there are quite a number of citizens who aren't happy about a number of things but then again, has street protests solved anything so far?
Some might argue and say yes. The Elections Commission has done a few changes according to what BERSIH has called for like the changing of the ballot boxes to be made of transparent materials, the promise of using indelible ink to avoid election fraud, etc.
Yet, we all know that there are certain elements of our populace who have breached the law by organizing rallies such as HINDRAF's which has seen violent skirmishes take place between Hindus and the Malaysian Police Force.
What is going to stop some other groups from coming out with their own action forces?
Are we going to see Muslim Rights Action Force?
Christian Rights Action Force?
Sikh Rights Action Force?
Buddhist Rights Action Force?
Orang Asli Rights Action Force?
Ahh.. how about a Bloggers Rights Action Force, eh?
When is the list going to end?
Every Ahmad, Ah Seng, Samy, Singh and native is going to start forming their own action force and take to the streets of this nation,creating an atmosphere of fear, chaos and anarchy!
Is that what we want?
What the hell for are we so bloody impatient that every other day we need to go and protest this and that?
Are the protest organizers ready to mass forces that can take over the bloody nation?
Are they?
What is the point of staging a protest when we bloody well know that such a protest is going to be deemed illegal and the police are going to receive orders to arrest the protests leaders as they have done?
What do we gain from these?
Infamy?
Is that what we are looking for?
Are we so bloody hung up on getting foreign nations such as the USA and the UK or any other bloody country to condemn our nation?
Who the hell is so perfect out there?
Is the US perfect?
Hell! Open your eyes wide and see the atrocities that takes place there where American Blacks are still victimized practically every other day and there are more American Blacks in prison there than their White Americans!
Just having an Afro American running for President is not changing anything where racial discrimination still thrives in current day America!
Discrimination is well and alive in all other countries no matter what excuses anyone can up with?
We aren't that bad here today.
All Malaysians are free to go and vote for the Opposition come Election day!
Things aren't as they were all those years ago.
Today, we have come to a stage where Malaysians are starting to have it in themselves to go out and protest for whatever cause they believe in.
Instead of wasting their time and energy on the streets, I figure that all those who oppose the BN's irongrip on the seats of power here in Malaysia would do better by starting to prepare for the General Elections.
Educate the masses about their rights, the right way!
Street protests aren't going to kick out Abdullah Badawi! Only way that you can see change is through the GE!
Just read Malaysiakini and see the dissatisfactions against the BN being voiced out by the growing number of disgruntled folks. Malaysians are getting vocal by the day but they can't make the BN go away just like that, can they?
In case Malaysians have forgotten, it was they themselves who gave the fella a landslide victory at the polls!
So, who's to blame for having Abdullah Badawi there today?
The very same Malaysian voters who if I am not mistaken are going to return the fella for another five years of the same if not worse?
Nazri , despite his diarrhea of the lips ridiculous statements all these while has said something reasonable at last when he asks the Malaysian Bar Council members to form a political party, register it properly and go stand for elections , fair and square against the BN which they hate very much if they are really serious about going against the current government?
As far as HINDRAF is concerned, those chaps have just screwed themselves by making all those caustic statements and further alienated themselves from the Malaysian public by creating an uneasy feeling for everyone who cherishes the peace and harmony that we have enjoyed all these while.
Who likes to see our fellow Malaysians killing each other on the streets of our nation because some smart ass political kingpin has incited them to go bash each other up for their own selfish personal agendas?
Change does not come in an instant. It has to be initiated over a period of time and the ones intending to create that change ought to be realistic in going about getting their objectives achieved!
As for the moment, the honeymoon of Mr.'Nice Guy' is over.
Protesting for the right and wrong reasons in Malaysia.
We all surely have many grouses that we would like to get off our chests and street protests is surely the most visible form of showing to the whole wide world that so and so is not happy with the powers that be!
Hell, even I am bloody pissed off at Abdullah Badawi and his team of rhetoric spewing, ass kissing , bullshit churning bunch of chaps who don't really deserve whatever honorifics of titles before their names!
There is however a difference in the manner in which I go about my causes and how some of our 'learned' folks today seem to be the lawbreakers of the day!
When the situation calls for it , I would have no qualms to be right there in any forum, debate or dialogue or even protest march or facing up to the authorities if I have to!
When Karpal Singh made his statement about having to cross his dead body if anyone dares to set up an Islamic State here in Malaysia, I didn't flinch from facing up to the most vocal and established senior Opposition lawyer in the country at the Forum Keadilan!
Who was I at the time when I faced the 'Lion of the Malaysian Courts'?
Just a very pissed off Muslim who didn't even have a blog or website at that time way back in 1999 or even knew much about the internet!
Yet, deep in my heart, I had a boiling rage at this fellow who had the balls to say what he had vehemently stated before a mass audience at the Batu Lanchang Wet Market during the election roadshows that the DAP had held back then!
So, when I attended the Forum Keadilan and saw the golden opportunity to question the man and take him to task about his clearly Islamophobic statement, I was right there in front of the microphone before the Master of Ceremony, Chow Kon Yeow (the present DAP MP for Tanjong) could even welcome the audience to ask their questions to members of the joint DAP/PKR panel.
The rest is history. I asked my question to Karpal and he apologized for his statement and said that the DAP weren't anti -Islam perse but just wanted to ensure that the rights of the Non Muslim Malaysians weren't trodden upon , bla bla bla. It's all history now.
When the Malaysian Bar Council held their 'Walk for Justice' protest march against judicial rot, I saw that their protest was right and I joined them together with my closest buddy and fellow blogger MENJ.
Protesting is part and parcel of human nature.
Those who don't are either angels or plain clueless about their state of affairs especially those who don't realize being taken for a ride by anyone else. Just my plain outlook on this.
This is a fact that each and everyone of us knows and at times we show our displeasure towards anyone whom we see not treating us properly and infringing upon our individual rights!
A child protests against its parents for some things that the child feels that he or she is being forced or subjected to in the individual homes and residences all over the human world.
A wife protests to her husband when he does not behave as he should or fails in his responsibility in their household.
A lover protests against his or her beau when the other does not do what they are supposed to do or go over the limits.
There are just so many things that each and everyone of us have protested about and will continue to do so when the circumstances and situations warrant it!
Coming to my main topic. Protesting for the right and wrong reasons.
When the British failed to take into consideration about the feelings of the Malays when they proposed and wanted to impose their 'Malayan Union' concept of a Malayan Malaya, the Malays naturally felt that their rights were being trodden upon and they protested passionately against the said plan which would have abolished the Malays rights over their homeland and given way to what the DAP is calling for today!
Malaysian Malaysia where every citizen of this country would have 'equal rights' and no more Bumiputera and Non Bumiputera differentiation.
Sounds very noble and surely the cherished dreams of every Non Malay in this country.
The reality that this land once was an infested jungle of tropical forests where the Aborigines @ Orang Asli used to and some still do live very frugally in huts and seeking a living through foraging and hunting for their daily meal using blowpipes and setting traps for small game seems to have been conveniently forgotten by the current day masses?
Pictures don't lie. If the Malays had not come and settled down here in the Malay Peninsular, this is exactly how life would be and at certain places today, still remains as it was back in the pre-Malay days of centuries past for some of the Orang Asli descendants who refuse to have anything to do with the rest of the country.
Be honest to ourselves and accept the fact that without the coming of Parameswara to the peninsular, things will have remained just as it was or occupied by some other people or country.
See present day Papua New Guinea. Not much has changed for the primitive folks there except for a few pockets of development courtesy of Indonesia and Australia who used to occupy certain parts of that territory.
To this day, there are still primitive people such as the ones depicted here roaming the land. Nature lovers and romantics would sure love to see such an interesting sight and snap up as many photographs of such natives but then again, is that what modern day critics and proponents of 'freedom' love to fight for?
Rights of the natives to exist in poverty and squalor just as it was centuries before?
Natural beauty and primitive way of life just as it was before the advent of civilization. Who gets to decide as to how a people must live and exist?
You, me, anybody?
Present day Orang Asli huts in the jungles of the Malaysian Peninsular.
They do not have that much of a desire to migrate to the new towns and cities to live for their choice is to be there in the jungle, keeping away from the outside world save for a number of them now, with the help and assistance of the Native People's Department @ Jabatan Hal Ehwal Orang Asli.
If the Malays had not emigrated from Sumatera, settled down in what came to be known as Melaka, developed the port there and eventually turned it into the thriving, rich, wealthy place it came to be and established the Sultanate of Melaka, turning it into the bastion of Malay Empire that drew traders and seafaring business folks like Marco Polo and other historical figures of the past, does anyone even dare to think that our forefathers would have bothered to come here and settle down amongst the Malays?
Malacca's fame and tales of it's riches reached the West and the King of Portugal sent his emissary Admiral Lopes de Sequiera to establish contacts with the Sultanate of Melaka in 1509.
Had Melaka not been established by Parameswara, would the Sultanate of Melaka come to have existed? Would this peninsular come to be known for its riches had the Orang Asli's still be the only ones inhabiting this peninsular?
Would Vasco Da Gama and Alfonso De Albuquerque have sailed all the way from Portugal and conquered Melaka?
Would the Dutch and later the British and after them the Japanese and again the British have bothered to have come and occupied and later robbed the people of this peninsular had Melaka not come to have been established by Parameswara and built to be what it was and his descendants @ the Malays continue to be here if this peninsular was still as it was before all that?
Go back in time and read what the Malay Peninsular was before the coming of Parameswara, the Srivijaya Hindu Prince who escaped from Palembang, Sumatera in 1402 and sailed across the Straits that is now known as the Straits of Malacca, then surely one would not deny the current day Malays claim that they are the ones who came to inhabit this peninsular and slowly built up the place starting from Melaka and gradually turning it into a world famous port and trading centre that eventually drew the foreign powers to come invade it and set up shop here and squirreled away the bountiful riches from this land that came to be known as the 'Golden Chersonese'.
This peninsular before the setting up of Melaka by Parameswara was nothing but a jungle infested land that used to be the haunts of pirates and natives who did not develop the land to be what it came to be by the coming of the prince from Palembang, Sumatera in what is now known as the Republic of Indonesia.
I am sure that most of you have learned your History lessons well enough that you don't need me to tell you about the various kingdoms of Majapahit, Pasai, etc.?
Those who cry foul today and accuse the Malays of robbing the Orang Asli's of their lands need to be honest and see the realities before them!
Have you any idea of what the world would be today if not for the progress and development of any one land mass by any tribe or people?
Arabia used to be a forsaken desert that many ancient civilizations bypassed thinking that there's nothing to be gained by going to invade and occupy those burning sands in those times!
The Roman Empire, the Persian Empire and many other great nations of those times pooh poohed against any notion or ideas from their army generals to go invade such desert lands because at that time, no one knew about the precious oil deposits that to this day continues to be the source of the Middle East's wealth and fountains of riches, transforming the desert nations to be amongst the most thriving countries of today's world!
America used to be the land of the American Indians who lived in tepees and waged wars against the various native tribes such as the Apaches, Comanches, Sioux, and many other people who now live decimated and robbed of their rights to own the largest and now, most powerful nation on Earth!
The coming of the 'Pilgrims' escaping the English Kingdom transformed the once undeveloped country of the American Indians to be what it is today, home to some of the most wealthiest people on Earth and whose economy still remains as a measure of success and progress in the material world.
Before we even start to home in on the Malays and question their 'Ketuanan Melayu' rights, we need to first be honest to ourselves and see the realities before us and glance back into the past to be fair and come to accept that things here in Malaysia aren't going to change overnight by us going out onto the streets and brandish a bloody banner or poster decrying the injustice prevalent before us?
Sure, we must protest and we have to protest but we also need to know as to which cause and in what manner that we need to go about achieving that?
The current spate of protests that we have seen take place last month has surely rocked our nation to it's foundation.
Everyone's aware of what the protest organizer's message was?
In my opinion, BERSIH's call for a fair and clean election come this next GE was not wrong but they did break the law by marching without clearance from the Malaysian Police, the Keepers of the nation's Law and Order.
Getting the permit must surely have been a real hassle as we all know that the BN Government would surely not allow the PDRM to simply issue such a permit which would enable the Opposition to gain a footing and challenge them in winning over the people's hearts and minds in the process.
After 50 years of Independence from all the previous occupation of this peninsular, only now have Malaysians come to a stage where they have no more qualms about facing the security forces of this current regime which has been calling the shots since 1957.
Whom are we to blame for the BN's arrogance and dictatorship? No one else but the Malaysian voters.
When you elect and continue to elect a particular political party or coalition over the years without giving any chance to the Opposition to show what they can do, you fortify the belief in the prevalent coalition that they are irreplaceable!
You can't blame the BN for what they have done and continue to do when you keep returning them to power day in, day out!
'Power corrupts!' is a well known saying.
History has proven to us that this is no mere saying. Mankind has seen many such proofs of the rich and powerful get sidetracked from their former principles of fighting for justice and rights of the average citizen.
You see this happening to practically each and every individual whose fortunes change overnight either by their own hard enterprise or by a fluke of chance.
Even in a spoof such as P.Ramlee's fictional movie of 'Ali Baba Bujang Lapok, you see the character of Ali Baba played by Aziz Sattar change his way of walking and style after coming into riches which he stole from the the gang of thieves.
Reality is that many politicians today are clear living proof of this saying that power corrupts.
A classic example is Datuk Zakaria's 'Istana' in Pandamaran Klang which is still standing undisturbed by the BN's State Government under Chief Minister Khir Toyo who clearly practices double standards when it comes to demolishing squatter homes and illegal religious establishments but doesn't even come close to the palace of the corrupt politician amidst kampong houses?
So, whom do we blame for all this? Who else but the Malaysian voters who continue to return the BN into power without fail, in each and every bloody GE since Independence?
The Barisan Nasional have grown rich, fat, arrogant and powerful because of them.
Absolute power has even seen them forget the very principles of acknowledging the grouses of the millions of the cuckolded Malaysian citizenry practically over the last 5 decades!
Does anyone amongst the protesting Bar Council members, NGO's and other organizations think that this situation is going to change overnight by holding street protests and skirmishes with the FRU?
Think again.
The only way to see any change in the people's political awareness and realizing their rights and privileges of citizenship here in Malaysia is through education.
Educate the Malaysians about their rights and introduce such forums and hold it for free to the general Malaysian public.
Proper and correct political awareness of the average Malaysian public is not achieved by way of engaging in coffeeshop debates but through a proper concerted effort of continuous education and stages of delivering the right info and dissemination of knowledge about political facts and fiction to the masses.
Rome was not built in a day and so is the human mindset. Realization about this and that takes place only gradually in time and over the years.
Evolution of any one person's awareness of any one thing takes place only through the passage of time and not as in an instant as what the organizers of the recent street protests seem to have expected?
As lawyers and educated individuals, members of the Malaysian Bar Council surely ought to have known better than to expect the current political status quo in Malaysia to change overnight as if rubbing an 'Aladdin's Lamp' of 'holding street protests, rallies and marches and expecting the normally complacent general Malaysian populace to be with them, battling against the BN incumbents?
I am sorry to say that I don't see this happening, not now or even in the next GE or after this.
Let's be realistic and consider for a moment. How many percent of the Malaysian populace are made up of those who oppose the BN as strongly as the ones who participated in the BERSIH rally or even the latest HINDRAF thingy?
Compare that with the number of Malaysians in the country? 26 million over Malaysians compared with an average of a 100,000 over unhappy Malaysians.
Where is the winning factor? Not a bloody chance to change anything, overnight is there?
So, to me as a Malaysian citizen and registered voter plus being a Malaysian blogger, I choose to see things in the bigger perspective and state right here that if the fighters for this rights and that rights consisting of the members of the Malaysian Bar Council, Opposition parties, NGO's, etc. hope to see change take place here in our country, then by all means they need to start getting to terms with what's the real deal here right now!
All these people need to stir awake from whatever political utopia they have clouding their judgments at the moment and go about achieving such change by preparing to educate the public through a masterplan of Malaysian political renaissance about the consequences of the people returning into power, a regime such as the incumbents again and again in each GE that has taken place in this nation.
Now, the next most annoying question is whether the opposition have it in them to offer us a better alternative government?
I have yet to identify any one individual in any opposition party to whom I can gladly throw in my support and rally for the fella to lead this nation!
I am not saying that I won't support the Opposition but sorry to say that until and unless I see a true blue proponent of all that we are looking for in a political leader who has what it takes to lead us out of the Malaysian political doldrums, I would have no options but to just vote for whichever candidate who stands for election at my constituency where I naturally won't cross the ballot paper for anyone who is against Islam! Straight to the point.
Regarding the different measures being taken by the BN against members of the Opposition and handling their beloved Deputy UMNO Youth Chief with kid gloves who protested just in more about the same vitriolic manner against Condoleeza's visit, doesn't that speak volumes about the integrity or lack of it in the present Malaysian Prime Minister who clearly has proven that to him double standards is just part and parcel of his modus operandi?
Do as I say and not do as I do, eh?
I hope that what I shared above is understood for what I meant exactly and not misconstrued as being my endorsement of the present regime.
Give us a better lineup of capable Malaysian political leaders and not just another bunch of rhetoric spewers under a different label and we will consider supporting them failing which, history will just keep on repeating itself as it has always done here in Malaysia.
Right now, the BN's awesome government machinery has started to be put into action and they are gunning for all those who dared oppose them!
RTM has lodged a police report against Malaysiakini for publishing reports about the Minnal.fm Indian radio deejays who got the sack or suspended for taking part in the Hindraf illegal rally on November the 25th.
Yesterday's illegal march by lawyers has seen many of them arrested and charged for assembling without a permit!
Don't these lawyers know better than to mess with the Be End?
As it is, the Be End will end all protests and marches against them by unleashing their mighty arsenal of 'Yes Tuan! Baik Tuan! Menurut Perintah Tuan! ' kaki's.
Be prepared to see some members of the Malaysian Bar behind bars. The real thing, I'm afraid.
That goes part and parcel with the 'fight for freedom'. Right now, we are seeing a 'Festival of Human Rights' in practice on our nation's streets. Sadly, the only admission seems to be into jail.
What a way to go,eh?
Did I hear, 'Malaysia Boleh'?
Must be. There are just millions of Abdullah Badawi fans on the loose! Hehehehehehe....
Malaysian Government & PDRM amongst my avid readers
It's heartening for me as a citizen blogger to know that our Malaysian Government and Royal Malaysian Police have become some of my most avid readers.
At least I don't have to go carrying a banner and stand in front of the Prime Minister's Office Complex in Putrajaya to share with those who rule over us and state my causes.
I am glad that our Government of Malaysia and the Royal Malaysian Police are monitoring what citizen bloggers like me and thousands of others in the Malaysian Blogosphere are writing about?
Internet has become a very effective way of communication and concerned citizens like me who are blogging here about anything that is relevant and needs to be shared with my fellow Malaysians and my rulers find it to be the best communication platform to exchange views.
If only the authorities have it in them to start an official blog that can cater to all our grassroots grouses and act promptly by corrective measures and actions, it will save lots of people unnecessary stress and also be a major cost saving measure to the Malaysian Government and the security agencies.
What am I implying?
Hehehehehe...well the FRU can save a lot of money by not having to go blast their water cannons and tear gas at marauding protesters in the streets....IF our protests or dissatisfactions are waged out here in the cyberspace!
How about that?
We can have live chats or debates with the Malaysian Government Cabinet!
Registered users exchanging live feedback or raise grouses to the minister concerned in realtime!
Now, that would be asking for the impossible but still hey !...remember that anything's possible nowadays?
Remember that it was Mahaguru58 who came out with this idea!
So, how about it dear Malaysian Government internet observers?
Will this dream of mine be realized?
As they say, 'Where there's a will, there'll definitely be a way!"
After all, we do claim to be amongst this region's leaders in utilizing the Multimedia Super Corridor!
Let's have the first Malaysian Government - Malaysian Citizens Chat Session.
A different minister for each chat session. Registered users only. Decent, straight to the matter debate or discussion.
We can get the communication firewall between the government and the people abolished in this way and the government get the real story straight up from the citizens without any hanky panky from the intermediaries who have been having their way all these years!
Malaysiakini could be the forerunners on this if they want to?
How about it Steven? Can this be done?
After all you guys are amongst the pioneers in citizen web journalism.
I hope that the Government cyberspace monitors and in the PDRM can raise this suggestion with your bosses in your next meeting.
In the meantime, Thank you for reading Mahaguru58. Good to have you gentlemen here!
PEMBELA's Media Statement regarding HINDRAF
6th DECEMBER 2007
PEMBELA refers to the recent street protest held on the 25th of November 2007by a movement called Hindraf or Hindu Rights Action Force in support of their demands.
While PEMBELA acknowledges the fundamental right of every citizen to gather peacefully and their right to free speech within the ambit of the law, PEMBELA deplores the actions carried out by Hindraf in the pursuit of their demands.
Among the steps taken by Hindraf was to send a letter to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
In this letter dated the 15 th of November 2007, written by P. Uthayakumar as the legal adviser to Hindraf, Hindraf made several accusations and allegations against the Malaysian Government, and the Muslim community of committing atrocities against Malaysians of Indian origin.
These accusations are not only malicious and untrue but highly inflammatory and calculated to incite racial and religious discord among Malaysians.
In the said letter Hindraf appealed to the UK Government to move an emergency resolution in the United Nations to condemn Malaysian Government for committing ethnic cleansing and genocide against Malaysian Indians with the backing of Islamic extremist and terrorist.
Such accusations by Hindraf are not only baseless and untrue but malicious and highly inflammatory with the objective of arousing racial and religious discord particularly between the Malays and Indians and also between the Muslims and the Hindus in this country.
Hindraf has also issued a veiled threat that the Indians in Malaysia may resort to armed terrorist insurrection like that being carried out in Sri Lanka if the Malaysian government do not give in to their demands, the principal one being the rejection of certain fundamental provisions of the Federal Constitution.
PEMBELA views the actions of Hindraf and especially their leaders with grave concern as their actions and threat to resort to armed revolt are not only seditious but can be regarded as acts of treason.
Hindraf now seeks to use these malicious and baseless allegations to garner international support for their cause and have despatched one P. Waytha Moorthy to undertake this campaign.
Hindraf has also threatened the Malaysian Government, in particular the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato' Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, that they will relentlessly pursue such campaign unless the Malaysian government meet their leaders to discuss their demands.
PEMBELA condemns such attempts at blackmail and intimidation as totally unacceptable.
The events behind HINDRAF's actions are reminiscent of the events which led to the May 13 tragedy in 1969.
PEMBELA therefore condemns the highly irresponsible actions of Hindraf, especially their leaders for fanning the fires of racial and religious emotions and urges the Malaysian government to act firmly, before racial and religious sentiments become uncontrollable.
PEMBELA therefore urges the Malaysioan Government to:
- Ban the movement called Hindraf;
- Take firm legal action against the leaders of Hindraf; and
- Not to entertain any demands by Hindraf for any discussion or meeting with the Malaysian Government.
PEMBELA also views with concern statements issued by other organizations echoing the threat by Hindraf that the Indians may have to resort to armed terrorist insurrection if their demands are not listened to by the Malaysian Government.
PEMBELA considers such statements as irresponsible, more so coming from organizations that demand others to act within the ambit of the law.
Encik Zainur Zakaria
Spokesperson for PEMBELA
6th December 2007 , Kuala Lumpur
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
I don't know about you dear reader, but isn't it obvious that the current Malaysian government and Royal Malaysian Police are just courting disaster by dragging their feet in taking firm, preventive action against the leaders of HINDRAF when it is so crystal clear that the actions and contents of the memorandum issued in black and white by them are words that are irrefutably the words and actions that scream TREASON and SEDITION without a jot or iota of doubt?
This pussyfooting amongst the daisies is just asking for anarchy to break out within our multi ethnic, multi faithed country with a population of 26 over million people who have been living in relative peace and harmony for all these years.
Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi has to act quickly to nip the imminent threat of ethnic disturbances that is arising right now or stand ready to be blamed in the event of a racial and religious riot take place within the near future IF HE STILL DOES NOT HAVE THE WILL TO STOP THE ROT!
There is so much for ALL Malaysians to lose if we fail to check the seeping and creeping racist and religious fanaticism that HINDRAF is orchestrating by issuing non stop inflammatory messages to the Malaysian grassroot Hindus in their past and current gatherings.
It's all there in the internet. Just go to their video collections on YouTube and click to view and see plus hear for yourselves as to the contents of their clear cut inciting of the Indian Hindu masses in Malaysia to rise against the Malaysian government!
Abusive insulting treacherous words when hurled against other Malaysians in a language only understood by Tamil speakers amount to a subversive element in fanning racial and religious strife amongst the masses. This is not healthy or chivalrous in it's execution.
HINDRAF has nothing to be proud of by going down this path of enmity when we have been living together as a nation of neighbors who have been hailed by many as being symbols of tolerance and good progressive citizens in this part of the world.
Malaysiakini has been consistent with it's updating us as to what is happening with the current situation involving HINDRAF and other issues.
At least, we get to read and compare between the alternative media and the usual run of the mill 'publish as I say!' newspapers and broadcasting media.
Back to the topic.
I am appalled to see such racist statements be left unchallenged and not be taken action against by this country's Intelligence forces in both the Royal Malaysian Police Special Branch and also from the National Security Council?
Don't tell me you do not have Indians in your departments who are capable of transcripting such inciting vicious statements that threaten to destroy all that we have worked hard for all these years?
Employ more Non Malays in the Civil Service like what it was back in the pre and post Independence days!
We need our country to be a fair place for all and realize that born Malaysians no matter what color or creed they are have as much right to be given equal job and study opportunities just as Islam asks of us Muslims as in the Holy Qur'an!
Is the BN Malaysian Government purposely letting a buildup to ethnic clashes to take place first before moving in for the kill out of their wish to continue their political dominance over the country by winning over the Malay support by way of allowing racial and religious fervor to influence the coming General Elections?
If it is as I suspect, then surely the present government needs to wake up to the dangers of gambling with the life's of millions of Malaysians by allowing HINDRAF to get emboldened by their seemingly lack of preventive action by the restrained hands of the law in this country?
Abdullah Badawi must act now before it's too late or suffer the consequences of allowing extremists amongst our midst to wreak havoc upon the lives of all Malaysians!
The Malays have a saying 'Jangan sampai cacing naik ke mata!' which means do not let things get out of hand as the parable infers of not allowing the maggots to rise up to the eyes!
Now don't any of you dare to insinuate that I am inferring to anyone as maggots!
It's a classic and traditional Malay saying that advices us to take pre-emptive actions to stop a situation from getting worse. This parable advices against allowing bad things to escalate beyond the control of us.
Okay? Hope you get the point here.
Ineffective government is not only wrong but also criminal in nature.
I want to see whether Abdullah Badawi has the balls to do his job which is to oversee the safety and security of us all or just be condemned for eternity as the worst prime minister this country has ever had?
All Malaysians must be aware and alert to the present political and power game being orchestrated by the powers that be and also the emerging threat to all of us by way of extremist groups such as what I see in HINDRAF!
The MIC is also to be blamed for their silence about his matter and Samy Vellu's failure to see to the demands of his fellow Indians welfare especially those grassroots amongst the Hindus and estate workers who continue to live a life that is bordering and at times even lower than the recognized levels of poverty that should be a thing of the past in this country which just glamorized itself as being capable of sending it's 'angkasawan' into space!
Abdullah Badawi and Samy Vellu need to get off their cushy seats of power and go see to it that this imminent threat from HINDRAF is stopped and tackled once and for all or risk being condemned to 'kingdom come' so to speak!
Enough rhetorics gentlemen! Do your jobs now! Malaysians future are at stake here!
HINDRAF - The Suara Rakyat Mahaguru58 interviews # 2
I followed up with my Suara Rakyat Live Interviews by following my instincts in approaching a young Malaysian Hindu who was at the Salak Selatan Star LRT station at Cheras when I stopped over there on a business matter.
He was clearly a committed Hindu judging from his appearance and I thought that if I am to be fair in my investigative citizen journalism pursuits, then he would make an ideal candidate for my # 2nd Suara Rakyat interview.
With anticipation of a refusal on his part to be interviewed, I just followed my instincts and went over to to him who was sitting on his motorbike with two other young Hindus.
I greeted him and his friends. Introduced myself and explained to him my purpose in wanting to share with you and also the global readers as to what a Malaysian Hindu has to say about the recent developments concerning the HINDRAF rally and what he feels needs to be done about it?
Luckily, he agreed to be interviewed and I spoke to him in Tamil, one of my favorite languages which I am lucky to be able to speak and understand but unfortunately have yet to learn to read and write.
I speak fluent English, Bahasa Melayu and Tamil. I can also converse fairly in Penang Hokkien, Mandarin, a bit of Hindi, Japanese and Arabic. Understand a few phrases of Spanish, French, German, etc.
The ability to speak in the languages above helps me in my Dakwah activities and also a major help to me in my business dealings.
Enough about me. Let's listen to what Hari has to say?
I will be updating this post with a transcript of what Hari commented and the questions that I posed to him.
He gave a heartfelt interview and expressed his sadness that because of the way things turned out in the HINDRAF rally, many of his friends and fellow Hindus are locked up in jail and can't work.
When asked about the illegal temples demolition issue, he replied that it is up to the government department concerned. They should know as to how to do their job?
When asked about whether it would be wise for HINDRAF to hold another rally, he said that if possible not to do so but if Tamils are being victimized, then there would be no other options but to go to their defense and aid.
Reasonable comments from a Malaysian citizen. I wish Hari and all Hindus to be rational and go about seeking justice for themselves in a manner that everyone would be happy to support and help if they could only do so without getting into further scrapes or resort to inciting racial or religious unrest as best as they possibly could.
Wait for my transcripts of this exclusive one to one interview with one of Malaysian Hindu grassroot members. You get to hear and see a true Malaysian citizen share his viewpoints.
Not a bloody politician or government official. This is as good as it gets and Mahaguru58 intends to go meet and see more Malaysians about what concerns us all?
Justice, fair comment and an avenue for those whom I interview to say their piece right here in Suara Rakyat @ the Citizen's Voice!
If you want to keep yourself updated with all the latest happenings here in Malaysia, head on over to Malaysiakini, our nation's in your face news portal. All the best to you.
May peace and prosperity be accorded to all Malaysians and everyone do their part in getting it!
Malaysians Boleh!
HINDRAF - The Suara Rakyat Mahaguru58 interviews # 1
Sometimes it gets a bit boring to listen to politicians and government officials yak yakkety yak away on the current issues affecting us Malaysians.
Since I now have access to audio visual recording equipment in the form of our Nikon C200 Coolpix digital camera, I did what I have always wanted to do, go around conducting live interviews with my fellow Malaysians about current issues that concern all of us.
I was at Jalan Masjid India day before yesterday and I came across many interesting individuals there. At the centre of Jalan Masjid India was a Malay drama production company shooting a scene and there were a few familiar drama actors and actresses performing.
One of them was Malay drama actor Fadhil Dani. I took the opportunity to interview him after takes and this is what he has to say about the latest developments concerning all Malaysians especially about the HINDRAF rally that took place last November the 25th, 2007.
I believe that Fadhil spoke very fairly and without bias. Among his statements were that it's the right of the Malaysians to demonstrate and show the Malaysian Government that they were not happy with certain things concerning their life's here in this land but to go about it in a decent manner.
I have also interviewed other Indians from India and a fellow Malaysian brother who is a Hindu about the same topics.
I hope that all Malaysians will be treated with fairness and allowed to share their views and raise their grouses to the attention of the Malaysian Government albeit in a non racist, non violent approach.
The powers that be ought to check into the matters raised by the people and show the Malaysian public the truth backed up with facts and counter the allegations of HINDRAF in a manner that is fair and fitting.
HINDRAF leaders must also retract insensitive statements that are insulting to the Muslim Malays community of this nation that is so evident in their choice of words in their numerous memorandums.
Respect goes both ways. If we conduct ourselves in a manner that is honorable, the ones acting ruthlessly will come to be known as the transgressors otherwise whatever reasonable causes that we fight for in any name will be rendered useless as we breached the code of conduct of what peaceful protesters ought to observe and put to practice.
Violence begets violence and insults almost always earn the same from the ones we inflict it upon.
At the end of the day, we must all realize that today, there are advanced audio visual recording equipments all around us and in the possession of almost everyone who happens to be at any event or incident.
One can't escape from being held accountable for what one says in the heat of the moment. Uthayakumar, the HINDRAF leader has said many things that can be held against him as going against national security or interests.
He gives a different version or interpretation of what he means by 'ethnic cleansing' in his interview with Soon Li Tsin, a fellow blogger who is also one of Malaysiakini's journalists in the interview here.
It is cases like these that I am referring to as to watch what one says in the heat of the moment for it reeks of racial bias and hatred just as much as what Uthayakumar accuses UMNO of?
HINDRAF must remember and take precautions in not burning down this nation in a moment of madness when consumed with rage at certain situations that have caused their community members so much sufferings for so long.
Malaysia is our home and all Malaysians, no matter what ethnic one belongs to, ought to learn to live and let live. Failure to control one's emotions will only see further bloodshed and the future of this country be held to ransom by marauding masses.
I am sure we do not wish to see our country go up in flames just because some fumbling fool in power does not know how to handle certain issues as demanded by HINDRAF and their likes.
Democracy needs to be protected and preserved by all parties especially by those who are capable of stirring the masses with their fiery speeches and learn that with great power comes greater responsibilities!
Yeah...that is part of a script that the fictional movie character Spiderman utters but which is relevant to the role being played out by HINDRAF's leaders.
Anyway, let's all stay in control of our emotions and keep Malaysia safe for all. Ameen.
An open letter about HINDRAF from an Indian Citizen
As a strong believer in listening to all sides when discussing an issue as important as the current state of affairs regarding the social upheaval taking place amongst our Malaysian Indian grassroots community, I hereby am sharing with you, my reader this letter unedited in content save for some correction of grammar and as it is for your reading pleasure and consideration.
This letter speaks about the actual scenario for Indians there in India's State of Tamil Nadu and it touches on statistics, actualities and also the role of one of HINDRAF's main leaders in the movement that has been and is promoting the goals and objectives of the RSS.
My respected fellow blogger and Malaysian politician Datuk Ron has also published this same letter in his blog.
We know that to be fair in sharing articles and viewpoints from all relevant sources, we must do our bit to let others get first hand information from differing views from within the nation and also as in this case from the Republic of India.
Being a global brotherhood and sisterhood of citizen journalism of Bloggers, we share what we deem to be of importance to all others who have it in them to do a spot of critical thinking and general assessment of socio-political-religious issues such as this.
A balanced and fair minded person who gets to learn about both sides of an issue will be able to exercise better judgment when it comes to making a stand or choice on such matters. May commonsense and rational thinking be the end result.
So, pardeshi babu, here's fulfilling your wish.
Wonder if this particular letter would find it's way to Malaysiakini?
An open letter to Malaysian Indians
I stand against any discrimination of any human being in any parts of the world. But when it comes to HINDRAF outrage in Malaysia there are some questions one should ask to Hindu Rights Action Force officials?
As an Indian, I believe ethnic Indians in Malaysia, still enjoy more rights than Indian citizens who are living in their own country.
Since the living standards of Malaysia is far much higher than in India, I agree that Hindus in Malaysia need a better deal.
As a community with migrant history, the majority of Malaysian Indians are Hindus while it also includes a minuscule Muslim, Christian and Sikh presence. The so called “Indian” heritage in Malaysia cannot be limited with just the Hindu minority in Malaysia.
Unlike Malaysia, discrimination against Indian citizens in India have a multitude of factors.
One is religion and the other is the caste factor.
After the British left in August 1947, the higher caste Hindu elite, has been effectively ruling the Indian nation for the past sixty years.
According to the Indian census of 2001, the total population was 1.028 billion.
Hindus numbered 827 million or 80.5 %.
- About 25 per cent (24 million) of those Hindus belong to Scheduled Castes and Tribes.
- About 40 per cent (400 million) are “Other Backward Castes”.
- 15 per cent belonging to the three upper castes.
- Dominant group of Hindu nationalists come from the three upper castes who constitute about 10 per cent of the total Indian population but control the civil service and economy of India.
- And thus the caste system virtually leaves lower caste Hindus in India to be an oppressed minority.
Considering the media manipulation techniques, time line and nature of the Hindu outrage in Malaysia, there are many reasons to believe that HINDRAF and Uthayakumar are closely associated with the RSS, a Hindu Taliban who have already spoiled India’s social fabric with fascist propaganda and communal riots.
RSS is the Hindu-supremacist organization that has fueled a rise in anti-Dalit, anti-Muslim, anti-Christian and anti-Sikh violence.
The former ruling party, the BJP is the political arm of the RSS and helped fascism to spread across the civil, defence and educational streams of the society.
The caste system and the fact that the government machinery is basically controlled by this Hindu-centric group means that violence against victims largely goes unpunished.
The man who killed Mahatma Gandhi in January 1948 for seeking conciliation with Minorities Nathuram Vinayak Godse, at one time belonged to the RSS.
That’s part of the Sangh’s legacy. And it has not only spawned the VHP, but numerous other radical organizations backing the RSS, notably the Shiv Sena (Shiva’s Army) party of Bal Thackeray, a self-declared Hitler fan.”
In the year 2005 alone, according to National Crime Records Bureau, 1,822,602 riots were reported in India.
Since Indian community issues in Malaysia is considered as a ‘Minority vs majority’ issue, let us compare the statistics of the Indian Muslims in India itself. Unlike Malaysian Hindus, Indian Muslims have not arrived from outside.
Recently, Justice Rajinder Sachar Committee report admitted that 138 Million Muslims across India are severely under-represented in government employment, including PSUs.
Ironically, West Bengal, a communist ruled state reported 0 (zero) percent of Muslims in higher positions in its PSUs.
A Muslim child attends school for three years and four months, compared to the national average of four years.
Less than two percent of the students at the elite Indian Institute of Technology comprise of the Muslim community.
Malaysian Indians are not the original inhabitants of the country, Indian Muslims are from the same racial and ethnic groups as their compatriots. And still they face discrimination in the world’s largest democracy called India. (Ref. Indian Express, The Missing Muslims)
Let us not forget the fact that, Malaysia’s ethnic Indians are mostly from the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, an impoverished land lagging with illiteracy and feudalism followed by Delhi’s north favored rule.
The traditional Hindu caste system compelled caste minorities to move even to Sri Lanka, where they are now in war with their own hosts, Sinhalese.
Do Tamil community in Malaysia want to do the same rebellion to their own host in Malaysia, the Malays?
Now, Indian workers form the third largest foreign work force in Malaysia, with 140,000 of them seeking out a living there.
Most of this migrant workers are the relatives of ethnic Indians who comprise 7% of Malaysia’s population of around 24 million.
By falsely claiming of “Ethnic cleansing against Hindus in Malaysia” , HINDRAF officials are working against the interests of India’s peaceful migrant community around the world.
Every year, more than 1 million Indian citizens leave their country to build better life.
Indians form about half of the 2.6 million expatriate workers in the United Arab Emirates’ private sector.
Migrated Hindus from India constitutes 1 million or 0.4 per cent of US population now. They have built around 1,000 Hindu temples throughout the US.
Now, what makes people move out of India?
Here are some Indian facts:
- India accounts for 40 per cent of the world’s poor and its fiscal deficit is one of the highest in the world.
- Almost half of Indian women are still illiterate;
- About 40 million primary school-age children are not in school.
- India ranks way down at 96 among 119 developing countries included in the Global Hunger Index (GHI). [Ref: IFPRI Country Report on India
- In India, 16 percent of the population still remains and live with out having sustainable access to improved water resources
- and there is a probability at birth for 15.3 percent of the population of not surviving to the age of 40.
- 34.7 percent of the Indian population live with an income below $ 1 a day and 79.9 percent below $ 2 a day.
- According to the India’s planning commission report 26.1 percent of the populations live below the poverty line.
- About 20 per cent, or 200 million, are religious minorities.
- Muslims constitute 138 million or 13.4 per cent,
- Christians 24 million or 2.3 per cent,
- Sikhs 19 million or 2 per cent,
- Buddhists 8 million or 0.8 per cent
- and Jains 4 million or 0.4 per cent.
- “Others” numbered 6.6 million or 0.6 per cent.
According to the National Human Rights Commission, as on 30th June 2004, there were 3,32,112 prisoners in Indian jails out of which 2,39,146 were under trial prisoners. That’s more than 70 per cent.
India’s jails hold a disproportionate number of the country’s minority Muslims, a sign of discrimination and alienation from the Hindu majority.
Prison statistics of Indian Jails can be seen from National Crime Record Bureau, here
Hindu upper caste men, who constitute just eight per cent of the total population of India, hold over 70 per cent of the key posts across newsrooms in the country.
The so-called twice-born Hindu castes dominate 85 per cent key posts despite constituting just 16 per cent of the total population, while the intermediary castes a represent meager three per cent.
The Hindu Other Backward Class groups, who are 34 per cent of the total population, have a share of just four per cent in the Indian newsrooms.
Muslims, who constitute about 13 per cent of the population, control just 4 per cent top posts while Christians and Sikhs have a slightly better representation.
But the worst scenario emerges in the case of Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) : Based on CSDS study, 2006. Ref : The Hindu, June 05, 2006
India’s subordinate courts have a backlog of over 22 million cases while the 21 high courts and the Supreme Court have 3.5 million and 32,000 pending cases (2006)
There were 13 judges for every million people. Merely 7.8% Muslim employees working in Judicial sector of 12 high-Muslim population states surveyed by Sachar Panel.
According to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, India has the highest number of street children in the world.
There are no exact numbers, but conservative estimates suggest that about 18 million children live and labor in the streets of India’s urban centers.
Mumbai, Delhi and Calcutta each have an estimated street-children population of over 100,000.
The level of child malnutrition in India is among the highest in the world, higher even than some countries in sub-Saharan Africa, says the report ‘Extent of Chronic Hunger and Malnutrition in India’ by the UN’s special rapporteur on the right to food (2006).
Australia earned about 500 million Australian dollars from the export of educational services to India, when 93% of Indians never progress beyond secondary school!
Nearly nine out of 10 pregnant women aged between 15 and 49 years suffer from malnutrition and about half of all children (47%) under-five suffer from underweight and 21 percent of the populations are undernourished.
India alone has more undernourished people (204 million) than all of sub-Saharan Africa combined.
Nearly 20 percent of women dying in childbirth around the globe are Indians.
Six out of every 10 births take place at home and untrained people attend more than half of them. 44 per cent of the Indian girls were married before they reached the age of 18.
It added, 16 per cent of girls in the age group 15-19 years were already mothers or expecting their first child and that pregnancy is the leading cause of mortality in this age group.
According to the 2001 census, female literacy in India is 54.16 per cent against male literacy of 75.85 per cent.
Most of the working women remain outside the organised sector: A mere 2.3 per cent women are administrators and managers, and 20.5 per cent professional and technical workers.
Women to men ratio was feared to reach 20:80 by the year 2020 as female fetus killing is rampant.
Ten million girls have been killed by their parents in India in the past 20 years, either before they were born or immediately after, told Indian Minister for Women and Child Development Renuka Chowdhury to Reuters.
According to the 2001 census, the national sex ratio was 933 girls to 1,000 boys, while in the worst-affected northern state of Punjab, it was 798 girls to 1,000 boys. The availability of ultrasound sex-determination tests leads to such mass killings in India.
Out of the 593 districts in India, 378 or 62.5 % are affected by human trafficking. In 2006, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) sponsored study by Shakti Vahini, found that domestic violence, illiteracy, unemployment, poverty, unsafe migration and child marriage are the major reasons for the increasing rate of illegal human trafficking.
95 % of the women in Madhya Pradesh in commercial sex are due to family traditions. So are 51.79 percent in Bihar,’ said the study.
While 43 percent of the total women trafficked are minors, 44 percent of the women are into flesh trade due to poverty. Of the total women who are into sex work in the country, 60 % are from the lower and backward class, which indicates the pathetic living condition of the communities.
In Madhya Pradesh, a political bastion of Hindu right wing party, 96.7 % of the women sex workers are from the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes.
There are an estimated 40 million Hindu widows in India, the least fortunate of them shunned and stripped of the life they lived when they were married.
It’s believed that 15,000 widows live on the streets of Vrindavan, a city of about 55,000 in northern India.
India has 4 million prostitutes nationwide and 60% of the prostitutes are from the Scheduled Castes and Tribes or other backward caste.
UNAIDS says over 38% of those living with HIV in India are women.
Crime-politics nexus also influences the democracy in India. Most of the ministers in elected democratic governments are from criminal background.
They are entering into the political arena, influencing the decision-making at the highest level in their own favor and thereby increasing corruption through patron-client relationship.
The reason for this pervasive political corruption, in spite of five decades of democracy, is because we, in India, do not elect representatives but patrons.
The rich and the avaricious as well as the poor and the stricken, vote on this principle.
Lack of transparency within the bureaucracy is also another important factor responsible for promoting public corruption.
Upper caste Hindus — that is, Brahmins, Kshatriyas, and Vaishyas — constitute less than 20 per cent of the Indian population but controls the business and civil service sector of the country.
They claim perhaps 80 per cent of the jobs in the new economy, in sectors such as software, biotechnology, and hotel management.
According to the National Crime Records Bureau, only 31 per cent criminal trials are completed in less than a year. Some take even more than 10 years.
According to its study, Crime in India 2002, nearly 220,000 cases took more than 3 years to reach court, and about 25,600 exhausted 10 years before they were completed.
The term of the Liberhan Commission, formed 14 years ago to probe the demolition of the Babri mosque in Ayodhya and originally given a mandate of three months, has been extended again!
We are alarmed by the fact that even after 50 plus years of survival after independence from Britain,
- every hour 2 Dalits are assaulted,
- every day 3 Dalit women are raped,
- everyday 2 Dalits are murdered,
- everyday 2 Dalit houses are burnt down.
When it comes to Human Rights issues in India, it is not ratified the Convention against Torture, its citizens do not have the opportunity to find recourse in remedies that are available under international law.
The victims are trapped with the local Hindu caste system, which in every aspect militates against their rights.
Many victims conclude that a justice system accessible to the poor of the land does not exist at all.
The Human Development Report for 2007-08 released by the UNDP ranked India 128 out of 177 countries, working it out through measures of life expectancy, education and income.
Malaysia ranked 63 and listed at under High Human Development category.
The report found that India’s GDP per capita (purchasing power parity) is $3,452, far below Malaysia’s $10,882. Read the statistics from UNDP website
Since 1998 about 25 000 Indian farmers have committed suicide because they could not repay their debts.
These debts, however, have largely accumulated because these farmers were severely overcharged by their money-lenders asking for up to 32% of interest.
Do the ethnic Indians in Malaysia want to come back to India?
I bet none of them will come back to this sinking ship called, India.
Instead of asking for more rights they should come out of their caste system and narrowness.
Let them learn to respect their hosts, the Malaysian people who provided better opportunities than their “Shining India”.
Only such an attitude and kindness will bring them prosperity. Let them not forget the millions of impoverished Indian citizens living in their own country.
Read more about Our Shining India at here
Remember that India, as a country cannot offer you food or job.
Tamil politicians are people with Dravidian origin and they have limited say in the controle of India’s central government which is ruled by majority Aryans.
TamilNadu is the bastion of opposing imposition of north Indian rule and its Hindi language in its territories.
South Indians mostly consider English as their national language than Hindi.
This north and south division has a long history in India and will continue to go on for ages, as long as people in India continue to remain emotionally myopic, narrow minded and accepting of propaganda and social myths.
In 1965, after a 15 year gap, Hindi was declared as the solitary national language of India.
This led to violent protests in Tamil Nadu and so many deaths of Tamilians.
The Hindu nationalist movement grew up in the 1920s with the establishment of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS )
The RSS gradually established a network of local branches that met daily for training sessions on martial arts, with ideological sermons making Indian identity synonymous with Hindu culture helped along by the motto “Hindu, Hindi, Hindustan” (one people, one language, one country).
In 1996, Inspired by Hindu myths, a Marathi Hindu mafia leader called Bal Thackeray floated ‘Shiv Sena’ a political party to drive out south Indians from the industrial city of Bombay.
Shiv Sena means Army of Shiva, ( referring to Hindu King, Shivaji) succeeded in its aim with the help of Hindu militants who unleashed several communal riots in the city.
In 1991, a Tamil Tiger suicide bomber killed India’s Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi ( A north Indian brahmin with aryan heritage) at an election rally outside Chennai. Those scars against Tamils are still run deep in north India, especially in a government dominated by Gandhi’s Italian-born widow Sonia.
When it comes to recording Indian history, the north of the country often ignores or overlooks events in the south. Tamils consider Vellore revolt is the first organized revolt against British in India, while Delhi officially consider it started with Sepoy Mutiny of 1857. Unlike north Indian Hindus, Tamils consider Lord Rama as the villain and Ravana as the hero. In such many ways, Tamil history and politics are in contradiction with India’s official version, which is in fact authored and promoted by Aryan north. The division within India’s caste maniacs are so deep and it cannot overcome to help anyone outside their circle.
Mr. P. Waytha Moorthy, the Chairman of Hindu Right Action Force in fact is the Malaysian representative of global ‘Hindutva’ alliance called Vishva Hindu Parishat.
He also works with RSS controlled Hindu charity institutions like Hindu America Foundation and UK based SEWA International.
Both of these organizations were involved in funding anti minority riots in India.
Hiring such a hate monger and ardent admirer of Aryan Hindu supremacy to solve issues of Malaysian Indians who are basically of dravidian origin will back fire soon.
Instead, Tamil Hindus should make way for peaceful dialogue with Malay organizations and concentrate more of their efforts for caste and poverty eradication.
The thoughts of Thanthai Periyar E.V. Ramaswamy should be their guide light, than the false propaganda war initiated by Hindutva and its militant mafia gang, RSS.
Leave a comment | Trackback URIPlease do not misunderstand that Mahaguru58 is a bloody racist or whatever but just try to check whether the facts and figures stated here are right or wrong?
We are living in the age of the internet where there are no more problems for us to seek info and knowledge about how things actually are in the world we are living in right now?
Sometimes, it is good for us to venture out of our Malaysian hemisphere and see how others are actually living today?
As Malaysians, we are all the sons and daughters of this Semenanjung Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. We hail from various different ethnicities but Alhamdulillah @ Praise be to Allah the Almighty, we have come to survive and grow together as one people.
We are all Malaysians, rich with our traditions and vibrant cultures that must be protected and preserved for our future generations without falling victims to our own misinterpretations of any current developments in our midst that has the tendency to go out of control if we feed our minds with the wrong info or just swallow unfounded allegations and criminal incitements that might lead to another unnecessary and disastrous situation for all Malaysians!
I can't imagine Malaysia without every ethnic that I have come to know and love for being who we are? Malays, Chinese, Indians, Sikhs, Sabahans, Sarawakians, Orang Asli's, Eurasians, etc.
All precious Malaysians with their own unique special traits and skills, contributing to make Malaysia to be our own Paradise that we would miss like hell whenever we go overseas!
Ask our fellow Malaysians who go explore the world only to miss our motherland like crazy after being abroad!
I hear of heart warming stories of how Malaysians sort of just click together when in the UK or USA, without bothering about each other's race or religious beliefs!
The minute they see someone who looks like a Malaysian in the streets of London or whatever foreign city, they will immediately make a beeline for the person and greet them asking if they are a Malaysian?
Am I right? Who has been overseas and experienced what I have just shared?
Please share with me your stories and experiences. Thank you.
We are all brothers and sisters borne from the offsprings of Saiyidina Adam Alaihis Salam and we are all equal before Allah save for the matter of our faith in Him and as to our deeds, both good and bad.
I suggest that all Malaysians do their own study and research into all the facts and figures and learn to differentiate between what is the actual truth and what are concocted stories meant to break us from within.
Before you go and believe in any out of the ordinary happenings and 'breaking news', please make sure that what you have just heard or 'learned' is the actual truth and not what someone has passed on to you without being backed up with the evidence.
Even then, recheck and reconfirm your facts before you come to any conclusions.
At the end of the day, this land called Malaysia belongs to each and everyone of us who has been and will be born in this blessed 'Golden Chersonese'. No bullshit!
Malaysians are panning and discovering pure gold from the sands and mud of the beaches of Sri Mersing, Johor!
And there are those amongst us who are just raring to wreak havoc upon each other?
C'mon folks! Cherish what we have and not let it all go to waste!
Malay proverb ' Beringat sebelum kena ; berjimat sebelum habis!'
Millions of foreigners are heading towards our bountiful lands yet we have our fellow Malaysians seeking the Queen of England to help them with what?
Sheeesshh! Sometimes people can just not realize what they have until it's all gone or taken away from them.
Don't you agree? Learn to go 'cari makan' instead of 'cari gaduh'!
May peace be upon all my fellow Malaysians. Ameen.
Singapore-Malaysia-Myanmar Protesters Story - A Study
In the first video, we see how south of the Malaysian Peninsular, in the Republic of Singapore, a first world economy, the Singapore Police handle protesters with the most restraint and refrain from manhandling the dissenters with so much patience and courtesy.
Really amazing to see such control of emotions on the young Singaporean Police officers who exercise quite a remarkable manner of handling such persistent Singaporeans who despite living in an economy that is the envy of the rest of South East Asia still find their existence in the first world republic intolerable and protest against the PAP run government of Singapore!
Well, maybe Singaporeans reading this might be able to share with us as to why and what they are protesting against?
We now move up from Singapore and evaluate what took place here in Kuala Lumpur on the 25th of November, 2007 where Malaysian Indians protested under HINDRAF, the Hindu Rights Action Force, which pulled off the largest gathering of Hindus protesting against the way they claim they are being deprived of certain rights as equal citizens of Malaysia and chose to battle it out with the Malaysian Police who unlike their Singapore counterparts showed that they meant business when they received their orders to clear the streets and to take action against the protesters.
Malaysian Police are one up against their Singaporean Brothers and Sisters in Arms when tackling street demonstrators. As Singaporean famous Mediacorp comedian Gurmit Singh @ Phua Chu Kang would say, " Don't play play aaa!"
Malaysian Police mean business and they kick ass when they have to.
Crossing the border of Malaysia-Thailand, we take a look at the recent Burmese monks protests against the Myanmar Military rulers.
Now, these chaps really mean business when they shoot to kill street protesters, no matter if it is the common people or saffron colored robes clad Buddhist monks?
The Burmese people are really living a life that if offered to both the Malaysian protesters or the Singaporeans protesting down there, will back out and say, " No thank you!"
So, I am just thinking aloud, as to the different qualities of life for us Malaysians, Singaporeans and the Burmese folks?
The Malaysian Indians protesting against the UMNO political party would need to think about the way the monks and civilians in Burma were decimated without a bat of the military's eyelids!
The Singaporean protesters could maybe take a look at how Malaysians protesting on the streets of KL got their asses whupped and even lift their binoculars further up and check out the state of Burmese protesters who ended up dead and missing from the living?
Different countries, different priorities, eh?
Malaysiakini has the stories. Check it out as to the state of affairs concerning the protests in Myanmar, Malaysia and the Republic of Singapore?
Sometimes, the grass is not actually any greener than where we stand! Check out other pastures or hellholes against what we have right now?
Only those who have lived through the initial changes from the have not's to the have's and the had lost everything such as the Burmese would know to count their blessings before they get lost in the world of protesting and disappear into the statistics?
Think!
HINDRAF - Malaysian Grassroots Forced Acts of Treason?
Sometimes incidents such as HINDRAF's illegal rallies have a way of bringing up the downtrodden amongst the Malaysian Indian population to the forefront and garner attention of the whole nation if not parts of the world who bother to know what's going on in our nation.
If we are to zoom in and focus just on the ugly side of HINDRAF's rallying to get the sympathy and attention from the Malaysian government, we can see that they have very well succeeded in doing so albeit in a way that left them smarting from the tear gas and acid laced chemical baths.
Today, almost every Malaysian official is alerted to the HINDRAF's cause even if the words used by lawyer Uthayakumar, the HINDRAF Legal Advisor is not only not right, it can be a source of racial and religious unrest amongst the Malaysian Malays majority population.
Words such as 'racist, Malay extremists and Islamic terrorists' are an unwise choice of words by a learned legal practitioner.
Maybe by being so controversial, Lawyer Uthayakumar seeks to garner the Malaysian Government's attention even though he stands the risk of being arrested by the law for usage of inciting words and statements that are sure bound to hurt and inflame the Muslims here in Malaysia.
Now, Malays have been known throughout the centuries to be lethargic to respond in earnest to such provocations and as we all know and have seen, UMNO Youth or even PAS Youth have been quite slow to respond towards Uthayakumar's clearly provocative and racist words directed against the Malays and Muslims in general.
There seems to be a blessing in disguise for the country when we don't have 'tripwire leaders' amongst our UMNO Youth or the Malay Muslim Opposition parties whereby if the Youth leaders had been otherwise, then the country will have seen another racial riot take place like what transpired on the tragic day of May the 13th, 1969. Thank God for the cool heads of the Malays leaders of today.
Anyway, moving away from the unsavory essence of HINDRAF's caustic memorandums that I believe has been written hurriedly by emotionally charged persons due to their overwhelming built up grouses with the BN Government's 'tidak apathy' towards the Malaysian Indians problems over the years, I sense a new found awareness of the general Malaysian population to the plight of the Indians here especially on the Tamil speaking Malaysians.
Now, Tamils in Malaysia seem to be getting the spotlight trained on them and this would be the most opportune moment in our nation's history for amends to be made with regard to the grassroot populations needs and wants.
If the current regime fails to clean up its 50 year old act of milking Malaysia dry and start spreading the juice reasonably to ALL Malaysians fair and square, then the Barisan Nasional is gonna get a tight slap from the people who have seen through Abdullah Badawi's theatrics and the Malaysian Opposition will for the first time in their life get the best chance of staging a political takeover that can kick the stool from under the BN's legs.
Malaysians have to accept that there are many races born and living here. The way the social contract of this multi ethnic, multi faithed nation operates is based upon the Constitution of a former Colonial Master who had to leave because the Malayans had started to wake up to their rights to live as a free people and the undercurrents of national patriotism was just getting too hot to handle for the British after the Japanese lost in World War Two.
Ironically, we saw HINDRAF appealing to our nation's former Colonial Master for help in giving them their rights by way of carrying posters calling for the British Queen to intervene in the internal affairs of this now sovereign nation that has stood on it's own for the last 50 years.
To me, that act of carrying banners asking for a foreign Head of Government tantamount's to an act of Treason of the highest order. Malays call it as 'menderhaka'.
But then again, we all saw the lack of personal attention of the Yang DiPertuan Agong of Malaysia who did nothing to address the BERSIH rallygoers request to see him to handover their memorandum!
So, we then have to consider, when will the present government ever give a bloody permit to the people to go rally for whatever rightful causes they want to highlight?
Not a bloody chance in hell is there?
So, who are we to blame?
An uncaring Agong or is there covert parties in the Istana Negara who give the Malaysian King the wrong picture?
I don't think so!
Surely, the YDP Agong surfs the internet? Does he or doesn't he know about the Malaysian grassroots grouses or is Tuanku just interested in his equestrian pursuits?
Who are Malaysians supposed to go see when they have problems of such magnitude?
So, in a state of affairs where unnecessary protocols succeed in building up a bloody huge firewall between the Agong and us the ordinary Malaysians, I can sort of understand why the HINDRAF supporters and their leaders pulled off this stunt of carrying the Queen's poster in their banner?
Reverse psychology?
Can we dismiss it off as an act driven by sheer frustration and desperation due to the apathy shown by the Malaysian Indian Congress party which is said to represent the Indians here in Malaysia?
Can such acts of treason be overlooked because it was not the brainchild of the masses of the Malaysian Indian grassroots but rather the machinations of the learned advocates and solicitors heading their cause?
The danger of leaving such acts of asking a foreign country's head of government to intervene and interfere in matters that concern the foundations of this country is akin to opening the door for other nations to come invade Malaysia because certain grassroot parts of the nation's population aren't happy with their situation.
This is something that every concerned Malaysian needs to think about and realize the consequences of our country getting invaded and occupied again under the banner of 'freedom'.
Today, when one visits Malaysiakini and reads the reports and letters that Malaysians send to it, one comes away feeling quite stressed out and worried for the future of our nation.
What you see and read in the mainstream media is nothing compared to what the alternative media publishes for all rational minded Malaysians to see?
See how much freedom Iraqis are getting now?
Moving on to the matter of the Tamils in Malaysia, I strongly suggest that the leaders of the Tamil grassroots who aren't happy with the MIC's failure to fight for them, to stand for elections in the coming GE and try to champion their people in the proper way.
No group or party has succeeded in changing the way things are here in Malaysia through street protests or out of the electoral process.
It's high time, Malaysia has a new government that practices what it was elected to do than to try outdo each other in spewing bullshit to the nation in ways that are just getting too sickening to stomach by the day.
Surely, there are better choices for us or are we doomed to suffer for the rest of our life's till Doomsday?
I sure hope that the Malaysian Opposition can really get their act together and give us what we want failing which the current regime will be licking their lips and rubbing their hands with anticipation of another 5 year round of engorging themselves on the wealth of this nation whilst the desperadoes are driven to do the unthinkable!
I hope that HINDRAF stops playing rough and go seek power through the GE way!
Failure to do so will only see them be seen as nothing but rabblerousers and not worth to be given any consideration. What's it gonna be HINDRAF?
Are you folks capable of handling yourselves as proper civil citizens who must be given the legitimate platform to go about changing your people's future or just be classified as what the BN calls you? You guys up to it?
Oh Malaysia! Tanahair ku yang semakin bergejolak.
Negara ku ini baru menjangkau usia 50 tahun setelah beratus tahun lamanya dibawah perintah pelbagai jenis penjajah yang datang mentakluki semenanjung bumi Tanah Melayu ini dan merompak hasil kekayaan dari bumi ini sesuka mereka.
Bumi Tanah Melayu ini pernah terkenal seantero pelusuk dunia sebagai 'Golden Chersonese' di suatu zaman dahulu kerana memang bumi ini mengandungi hasil bumi yang pelbagai macam termasuk emas didalam isi perutnya.
Kerajaan Kesultanan Melayu Melaka pernah gah sebagai Empayar Melayu yang menjangkaui tanah jajahan nya meliputi sebahagian Nusantara dan disegani oleh negara negara lain di rantau Asia.
Namun semuanya itu tinggal kenangan. Kemegahan dan kedaulatan Kesultanan Melayu Melaka kini hanya dipamerkan di muzium muzium negeri dan didalam lipatan sejarah lampau.
Keturunan Melayu Melaka dan zaman kehebatan pahlawan dan pendekar Melayu zaman dahulu hanya menjadi bahan kajian penuntut sejarah dan profesor profesor kolej dan universiti.
Orang orang Melayu dewasa ini dan anak muda serta remaja Melayu tidak ambil peduli lagi tentang zaman kegemilangan datuk nenek moyang mereka melainkan segolongan kecil yang sedar akan keperluan menjaga warisan budaya dan adat resam mereka serta hubungkaitnya kaum Melayu dengan ajaran Islam nan maha suci.
Melayu sekarang sudah ramai yang lebih suka menonjolkan diri seperti umang umangan kerana mereka mencelup rambut hitam asli mereka menjadi celorong celoreng kekuningan umpama orang putih dan amat malu berbahasa Melayu dikalangan mereka serta lebih cenderung bertutur didalam Bahasa Inggeris yang kekadang tidak lah sebaik mana sebutan dan pemahaman mereka.
Ini realiti kehidupan kebanyakan masyarakat kota kota besar seperti di Kuala Lumpur ini dan dikalangan mereka yang berpendidikan tinggi diluar negara.
Aku tidak lah mengatakan kesemua orang orang Melayu bersikap begitu namun hakikat penularan penyakit lupa diri dan lupa asal usul kaum Melayu semakin hari semakin menjadi.
Dicelah celah kehidupan serba mencabar ini, ku lihat semakin gawat cabaran cabaran semasa yang menimpa tanahair ku ini.
Semuanya berkisar tentang ketidakadilan pemerintah semasa mengagih-agihkan hasil bumi dan kekayaan negara kepada anak anak watan dan keturunan kaum kaum pendatang ke negara ini.
Setiap pembantah, setiap penunjuk perasaan melaungkan slogan dan menuntut keadilan!
Apakah sang pemerintah mengambil peduli akan bantahan bantahan semasa ini?
Bagaikan menuang air ke daun keladi, segala tunjuk perasaan dan demonstrasi demonstrasi ini seolah hilang ditiup angin dan natijahnya pasukan keselamatan yang bersumpah setia terhadap Mamanda Perdana Menteri tidak teragak agak menghayun belantan, mematahkan tulang temulang dan menginjak warga negara yang membantah ketidakadilan yang berlaku di bumi nan tercinta ini.
Di tembak gas pemedih mata, disembur tembakan meriam air campuran bahan kimia pemedih mata, menggatalkan kulit, ditendang, disepak, ditangkap , digari dan disumbat, dihumban kedalam penjara sama seperti zaman berzaman yang lampau dimana setiap diktator , setiap penguasa , bersikap keras, berkuku besi, membanteras sebarang cubaan warganegara bangun menuntut hak hak mereka yang dimeterai didalam perlembagaan ciptaan manusia dan dipinggirkan ketepi sesuka hati si pemerintah.
Nostalgia keadilan zaman Khalifah Ar Rashyidin terkenang sekali sekala melalui pembacaan noktah noktah sejarah yang menceritakan kepada kita tentang keunggulan sang khalifah yang akur terhadap suruhan Allah pada satu ketika dahulu.
Apakah akan berulang semula zaman seperti itu didalam jangkamasa hayat daku? Wallahu alam.
Keadaan semasa semakin bergolak dek kerana kaum India, anak cucu cicit pendatang dari India merasa kaum mereka dipinggirkan oleh sang penguasa dan mereka dianggap sebagai masyarakat kelas ketiga atau lebih rendah dari itu?
Kita tidak lah boleh menidakkan sahaja sebahagian dari rungutan mereka kerana memang nasib kaum India di Malaysia adalah tidak se-elok sebahagian besar masyarakat Malaysia yang lain.
Namun, perlu kita bertanya, " Apakah yang telah mereka lakukan untuk memajukan diri mereka dan kaum mereka sendiri selama ini?"
Sejak Merdeka nya negara ini pada tahun 1957, masyarakat India tidak pernah lupa untuk memberi kuasa perwakilan kepada parti politik Kongres India seMalaysia @ MIC dan MIC telah menjadi sebahagian dari gabungan parti pemerintah Barisan Nasional.
Soalan saya, apakah MIC tidak pernah membantu masyarakat India di Malaysia ini?
Jika ia nya tidak adil terhadap mereka sekian lama ini, mengapakah masyarakat India tetap mengundi calon calon MIC setiap kali diadakan pilihanraya nasional?
Apakah yang telah dilakukan oleh golongan seperti didalam HINDRAF selama 50 tahun ini untuk menuntut agar MIC berlaku adil terhadap mereka?
Kenapa sekarang?
Kenapa baru sekarang ini timbulnya perasaan ingin menuntut itu dan ini oleh mereka yang semakin lantang menyuarakan pendapat dan pegangan mereka bahawa UMNO telah meminggirkan mereka dan menganiayai kaum India di bumi Malaysia ini?
Apa kejadahnya peranan MIC?
Kenapa HINDRAF tidak pergi berhadapan MIC dan membantah ketidakupayaan pemimpin pemimpin MIC untuk membahagi hasil yang diperuntukkan untuk kaum India dari BN?
Bukankah begitu sepatutnya? Jika sungguh MIC itu sudah tidak ada gunanya lagi kerana mereka sudah lemak membuncit isi kantong dan perut masing masing, maka HINDRAF haruslah berusaha mendaftarkan diri sebagai parti politik dan bertanding didalam pilihanraya umum yang menjelang tiba untuk menjadi juara kaum India di Malaysia ini!
Masyarakat India warganegara Malaysia bolehlah mengundi pemimpin pemimpin mana yang mereka mahu untuk menggulingkan Samy Vellu dan kuncu kuncu MIC nya!
Bukankah itu yang sepatutnya dari membiarkan MIC kembali berkuasa selama 50 tahun yang lampau dan kini HINDRAF berusaha melalui kempen demonstrasi jalanan yang belum pernah berjaya didalam sejarah negara kita selama ini?
Apa apa pun, kekadang manusia memang ditakdirkan untuk merasai hasil perbuatan mereka dek kerana terlalu taksub kepada dorongan pemimpin mereka untuk menggapai awan sedangkan tapak kaki mereka terbenam jauh kedalam kealpaan sendiri.
Kesudahannya? Kita tunggu dan lihat sahaja nanti kemana arus pergolakan semasa ini akan membawa mereka yang terlalu ingin merubah keadaan melalui perasaan geram dan ketidakpuasan hati mereka yang telah sekian lama dihiris dan dilukai oleh mereka yang telah curang terhadap segala kepercayaan kaum India warga Malaysia sejak datuk nenek mereka bersetuju untuk akur kepada perjanjian penubuhan Malaysia ini dengan pemimpin pemimpin Melayu dahulu.
Bagi mereka yang tidak mahu ketinggalan dari mengikuti perkembangan siasah tanahair, daku sarankan agar rajin rajin lah melayari laman Malaysiakini kerana ianya menyajikan laporan dari semua yang terlibat dan bukan hanya menjadi corong propaganda pemerintah seperti kebanyakan media massa nasional.
Ilmu pengetahuan itu amatlah bernilai bagi mereka yang mampu berfikir secara waras dan tidak terlalu mengikut perasaan atau mudah diperkotak katikkan oleh para pemidato berkepentingan didalam dunia politik negara.
Warga Malaysia sekelian. Bersedialah menghadapi sebarang kemungkinan kerana apabila manusia tewas kepada gejolak hawa nafsu amarah, selalunya tindakan mereka hanya menuju satu arah.
Kehancuran.
Semoga Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala memberi Taufik dan Hidayah Nya kepada mereka yang sujud kepadanya dan memperkasakan mereka dengan kesedaran diri dan berwaspada terhadap arus cabaran yang sedang menimpa dek kerana hamba Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala di bumi tanahair ini sedang leka dihanyut gelombang hedonisma tajaan Imam Hadhari.
Sudah tiba masa dan ketikanya keturunan 'Demang Lebar Daun' sedar diri dari lamunan kini.
The assassination of Rajiv Gandhi, was carried out by Tamil terrorists from Sri Lanka while they are on visit in India. It proves that many Tamils don’t deserve a life in a peaceful country like Sri Lanka or Malaysia. The official records of Tamil Nadu Police Report also reveals this fact. In 2006, there was 1273 murders, 89 murder for gain, 95 dacoity, 450 robbery, 3300 burglary, 13651 theft. The total crimes reported was 18858!
As a Sri Lankan Sinhalese, I would ask my Malay friends to be very careful about this HINDRAF movement. They can get foreign support to harm your country from weapon producing nations. In early stages, Tamil Tigers received support from Israel and India. Now, we are fighting them with the support of the same countries because we buy weapons from them! Sri Lanka was very prosperous country before Tamils started problem here.
Awesome blog, I haven’t seen such wonderful statistics about India yet.
