Part of the Do'a Iftitah

"Verily my solats, my ibadah, my life and my death I surrender to Almighty Allah, Creator and Lord of all the worlds. Never will I associate anything with Him. So am I commanded and I am of those who are Muslims."

Surah An Nahl (Chapter 16 Verse 125) Holy Al Quran Al Kareem.

" Invite (all Mankind) to the Way of your Lord (Islam) with Wisdom and Beautiful Preaching and Reason (discuss, argue, debate) with them ( Non Muslims and Muslims -deviant, innovators, liberals, alike) in a Way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Knower of those who are guided."

Blogging Live from East Coast Mall, Kuantan, Pahang.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh!

Alhamdulillah! Brothers and Sisters!

Today, I have managed to locate a pleasant spot for me to log in to the internet using the available wireless network from a cafe called 'Coffee  Classic' at the East Coast Mall, G 07, Jalan Putra Square 6,  25200,  Kuantan, Pahang Darul Makmur.  www.coffeeclassic.com.my

I have been out of touch with my blog for the past 3 days and naturally feel so elated to at last be able to reach you from this cafe.

Being a blogger without access to the internet is so taxing on me! Guess that drug addicts would feel the same without their daily fix, eh?

I know that its a bit too much to liken drug addicts and bloggers as having the same withdrawal symptoms but in a sense I can now relate to what they must have been going through when I felt hopelessly yearning for my laptop to suddenly get connected to the net by a wireless miracle!

Hehehehehe! When I plugged in my laptop's USB Wireless Dongle Stick hoping to get any wireless connection from nearby sources, I was disappointed to get the 'No wireless networks detected' answer coming from the Networks Connection table that popped out after plugging in the wireless device.

Well, this is now going to be my blogging station whenever I come to this brand new mall that is just as good as any top malls in KL.

The owner is Encik Abdullah bin Zulkefli, a well mannered pleasant fellow, who has been running this place since July, 2008.

He plans to launch his own trade name soon for this place and has good staff helping him out.

Been chatting with him about the need for him to be patient with this kind of business.

They say that food business is good business but the trials and tribulations that come with the daily hustle and bustle what more of challenges involving the stringent quality control that is expected when you are selling food to the public really poses quite a test if one isn't up to it?

At the end of the day, the proprietor needs to make some profits to make up for the huge effort that goes into such an exhausting trade. One needs not only be able to serve delicious food for discerning customers but also at the same time, manage a crew who come in all shapes and sizes plus their own set of problems as we all can just imagine from the reality check that not all soap dramas on tv are fiction?

Staff morale and good efficient service can make or break any kind of business and what more when you know for sure that some folks who are lousy in attending to the customers can really bring down their bosses no matter how established any business venture is or how famous or infamous their owners are?

This is Helmi, one of the friendly staff at Coffee Classic, who is big, strong, friendly and still available. I joked  with him about advertising his availability here online and the big fellow gave me mobile number for publishing here : 019-6960671.

Another shy fellow is Mizi : 013-9554248

Did you read about the Malaysian rocker Amy Search who is facing legal problems when a waiter at his Laksamana Cheng Ho Chinese Muslim restaurant splashed steaming hot tomyam soup over a customer's baby who was scalded in the incident and now the father is suing Amy Search for a sum of RM300,000.00 for criminal negligence?

It's not easy being a restauranteur nowadays.

Okay, enough about the food business.

So, how are you doing today?

If you are a Muslim, I would like to congratulate you for making it to the end of Ramadan sucessfully fasting for the entire month.

Let's hope that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will accept our amals and ibadah, forgive our sins, major and minor and grant us and our loved ones the Hassanah of this world and in the hereafter.

One of my readers, Brother Aladdin made my day today when I read the contents of his email thanking me for explaining Islam in the simplest of ways.

"Dear Sir, Thank you for being there, may ALLAHSWT memberi rahmat rezeki dunia dan akhirat dan memberi kekuatan untuk terus tuan berdakwah dan memberi ilmu kesadaran pada semua umat islam di zaman moden melalui website tuan. I am forever grateful to you sir even we have not met but sir your presence is felt in my house and my family, the many islamic articles by you sir, is easily absorbed by us and i take this humble oppurtunity to wish you and your family selamat hari raya and look forward to see you next in penang or KL insyaallah.wassalam, drp aladdin xxxxxxxx xxxxxxx dan keluarga pg."

Brother Aladdin is facing a major test of his life when he was diagnosed with a life threatening condition which has in a way brought him closer to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

Brothers and Sisters,
Let's all make do'a for Brother Aladdin that Allah Azza Wa Jalla will heal him from his condition and that he gets a chance to go for either Umrah or Hajj and attain peace and tranquility in his moments of need and get support and strength from all of us who love him as our brother in Islam and as a fellow human being, a worthy member of the Children of Prophet Adam Alaihis Salam.

"Shifa tu bi iznillah Ya Rahman!" Amin Ya Rabbal Alamin.

Life here on Earth, dear brothers and sisters is so temporary that many of us forget that time passes just so quickly without we realizing it?

Doesn't it occur to you?

Only yesterday, we were all small kids and playing as we pleased all day and night long without a care in the world?

Today, yours truly is only 3 days away from being 50 years old, half a century old if Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala so permits me?

Kids whom we just remembered picking up and carrying them as babies are today so grown up that some of them tower over us and can lift us up instead! Hehehehehe...

That's what I am talking about?

Making the best of our time. Remaining time within our life's time frame, that is.

So, in conjunction with the advent of Aidil Fitri tomorrow, make peace with one another and forgive all those who might have done us wrong.

You don't have to forget but it is enjoined upon us to forgive. Start all over with a fresh clean slate of records.

Be sincere, Insya Allah in doing so for it will be best for us.

Just sharing with you what is so very obvious that is to make amends with our loved ones, family and friends in this joyous occasion.

Today is the last day of Ramadhan and I wish each and everyone of you, a joyous
'Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri 1429Hijrah'!

SELAMAT HARI RAYA IDUL FITRI 1429H

Assalamualaikum semua.

Didalam Kitab Shahih Bukhari Bab Kitab `Ahkam.

Sadaqa Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam.

Tuan tuan puan puan sekelian.

Wabillahi Taufik Wal Hidayah.

Wassalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Walillah hil hamd.

Abdillah,

Zainol Abideen.

Malaysiana - Sights and Scenes of Chow Kit Area

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Dear brothers and sisters.

Come join me as I take you on a sightseeing trip which will perhaps refresh our memories as to how at times, we forget to appreciate and cherish our local attractions and unique food fare that we have amidst all the concrete jungle that is KL?

Along the small stalls lined up along the Chow Kit Bazaar was a stall selling traditional Malay kueh. Is this a kind of pulut panggang?

If I am not mistaken, the delicacy in the tray is called 'lompat tikam' a sweet sourish dessert.

Here are the delicacies that you can find being sold at the kueh stall.

From the Malay Mail - Teresa Kok's Blog Readers Comments

Malay Mail - Your Voice
Comments from Teresa Kok’s blog
September 26, 2008      Categories: News

When Seputeh member of Parliament Teresa Kok had allegedly described the food served to her during her detention under the ISA as "slightly better than dog food", she could not have predicted the firestorm it would spark off.

Kok’s comments drew numerous postings on her blog (teresakok.com) from Malaysians who recounted their own experiences at having to survive on meagre meals.

Below are excerpts of the postings.

● Joy_richer:

Did you know that while I was growing up 30 years ago, that was the meal that my grandmother packed for me?

● CRUSADER:

You get to eat eggs and yet you complain. Have you ever thought about those who can’t even afford a decent meal and need to share one egg with the whole family?

There are families who sleep on the earth, not even on cement with cardboard. Rather than taking our taxpayers’ money to upgrade jail facilities, please give it to the needy, not criminals.

● dtecconan:

This is not a matter of the ISA food being bad. The statement you made sounded as though you were insulting those who are used to eating hard-boiled eggs. Maybe your life has been easier, always able to eat good food, so it is easy for you to link what the less privileged usually eat to dog food.

● labu_air:

I was truly saddened by your statement. Dog food or not, whether you realise or not, that is the main course for a large number of Malaysians, not just for weeks but years.

● seetha:

Never mind the food, because nobody has died of starvation in our cells. Of course, we have to provide a decent meal to the detainees and prisoners. There must be international standards regarding this and we have to comply with these standards. The fact that you got two eggs, some curry and something else is far better than many poor Malaysians can afford. Right now, there are many people in the kampung who do not eat as well as this. Even my own sister-in-law is earning RM400 monthly working in a factory and eats plain rice with watery sardine curry every day. So, you have indirectly insulted perhaps one million Malaysians who would love to eat what you got during your detention.

● Think Tank:

The meal fed to you is what many Malaysians, myself included, are eating right now, and you mirrored it to dog food. Don’t forget that we are your voters.

Mahaguru58 wishes all Muslims a blessed Eid Mubarak!

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Ta'ala Wabarakatuh.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I, Zainol Abideen @ Mahaguru58, would like to wish each and every Muslim reading this blog, a Blessed Eid Mubarak which is just a few days away.

To those of you who will be driving back home to your kampongs, I wish you a safe journey. I will be celebrating Aidil Fitri at my wife's kampong in Kuantan.

We will be embarking on our journey home tomorrow morning, thus this Eid Wishes being posted tonight for I know not whether I will get to come online whilst being there?

To all my readers, I ask for your forgiveness for any mistakes that I may have committed in the course of my blogging.

'To err is human; to forgive is divine' so goes the saying amd we bloggers are justdoing what we need to do to ensure that the truth is told no matter what so that justice has a chance to live!

Sometimes, the truth might hurt and be a bit bitter to swallow but we all know that its good for us in the long run. Too much sweetness can just give us diabetes! Hehehehehe...

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Maaf Zahir Batin.

Zainol Abideen @ Mahaguru58,
Bandar Tun Razak,

Warna Warna Aidilfitri di Masjid India

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Beranika jenis kuih raya sedang dijual disana.

Teringat semasa saya masih kanak kanak membantu kakak kakak saya membuat kuih raya.

Hahahahaha! Kenyang!!!

Dah tua tua gini, takde lah peluang macam tu lagi...hehehehehe..

Memang seronok teringat zaman kanak kanak saya.

Amin.

Wassalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Debat Rakyat - The Online Bloggers Parliament

Ladies and gentlemen,

Fellow Malaysian Bloggers.

Introducing the online 'Debat Rakyat' Bloggers debating platform that has been launched by http://nobisha.wordpress.com/

For starters, Brother Nobisha has listed a 100 bloggers as his YB's.

YB's meaning 'Yang Berblog'. Hehehehehe.

Yours truly has been listed amongst the pioneering bloggers in this online debating platform and I look forward to see what is going to take place here?

It would be good to learn from our fellow Malaysian Bloggers in discussing the various issues that we are all concerned about in a proper platform such as this where I am sure that the Tuan Speaker @ YB Nobisha would do us proud by not following the actual infallible Tuan Speaker of our beleaguered Dewan Rakyat's narcissistic tendencies in running the place!

I wish YB Nobisha all the best in his venture and stand ready to throw in my support in this project.

Debat Rakyat - your online Bloggers Parliament.

Let the debates begin!

China must stop victimising its Muslim population!

I am appalled to learn of this religious persecution by the Chinese Government upon its Muslim populations!

What kind of a blinkered government will go to such lengths to stop Muslims from fasting?

Malaysia must send a protest note to the Chinese Government on behalf of the Muslims of the world!

I wonder what the OIC are doing about this?

China should be ashamed for this gross violation of human rights when even its 'Big Brother' Russia has got rid of its previous 'Iron Curtain' mindset and has allowed its citizens the freedom to practice their preferred religion as shown by the video below!

ISA Food Issue : The Teresa Kok Before and After Media Spin.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Fellow Malaysians.

Here is a video that clearly shows as to who is spinning a fast one?

Teresa Kok or Utusan Malaysia?

I have been following the media circus and hullabaloo created by both Teresa Kok and the nation's mainstream media over this 'dog food' controversy created by the recently detained and released ISA detainee.

When Teresa Kok was detained under the ISA for her actions starting from the 'azan issue' and then the way she and her team of DAP activists showed their obvious displeasure over the introduction of Jawi in the road signs, it already spelled of the following consequences which she and her retinue of likeminded DAP party members were going to face?

Refer to her blog article for more crystal clear pictures on this matter here.

To me this whole episode is a clear example of the age old saying that ' Thou shalt reapt what thou soweth!'

The Malay saying is 'Berani buat berani tanggung'. Means the same  as the above proverb.

Looks like politicians today forget that there are digital devices and equipments widely available and used by media personnel and also by every Tom, Dick or Harry or in our case, Ahmad, Ah Seng and Samy who are able to capture every action, reaction or response by every politician or just anybody in the news out there today and furnish such proof as irrefutable evidence if and when such cases come to the courts or the online discussion space!

So watch the video above and decide as to who is the spin doctor here?

As for my personal opinion as to the way Teresa Kok describes the food she was served during detention, her referral to such food to be worse or slightly similar to dog food, I can only conclude that Teresa has been living a wealthy lifestyle all her life and that she didn't realise that when she spoke of such food served to her to be of a quality that is served to dogs, she offended so many millions of poor Malaysians out there to whom having two eggs, rice and some gravy is already considered a luxury!

As one who considers such food already heaven sent compared to the dire straits of many hungry people out there in the whole wide world, I can understand why many people are pissed off at Teresa Kok?

She has once again brought contempt and ridicule upon herself due to her verbal diarrhea that must have taken place due to her euphoria of being feted by the DAP leadership surrounded by the media. It must have been due to the spur of the moment excitement for her to once again be in the media spotlight.

Others should learn from this verbal slip and be aware of whatever one says without considering the backlash coming from any statements issued forth without thinking about its effects?

To me, I can only see this as a politician's true colors. Twist, rock and roll, baby!!!

Spinning like a `gasing'!

So, what's it gonna be? Are we gonna see Utusan take Teresa to court over this matter?

Let's just wait and see, aa?

Maksiat Today and it's Instant Repercussions

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Dear brothers and sisters,

A growing number of mankind today are just living their lives as they damn well please despite the presence of the Final Testament for all mankind @ The Holy `Al Qur'an `Al Kareem of Almighty `Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala to guide us in the ways we choose to live our temporal life here on Earth and to prepare ourselves for the Yaum al Akhirat @ Hereafter.

The video featured above is just one out of many hundreds of thousands of happenings that take place all over the world as a sign of Almighty Allah's instant punishments for mankind's blatant disregard for His Warnings revealed in its completion a thousand four hundred over years ago to the entire mankind through Allah's Final and Greatest Messenger for all of us, the Blessed and Noble Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam.

Would you believe me if I share with you as to what took place today at our apartment complex's swimming pool?

Two Malay young couples frolicked as they damn well pleased during this blessed month of Ramadhan regardless of the prohibitions that forbid such blatant acts of maksiat what more in full view of our entire neighbourhood?

At first I disregarded the squeals and giggles coming from the pool thinking that it must be some young kids just playing the fool whilst swimming!

But my curiosity took over me and made me saunter to our window to see who was making all that noise?

Imagine my horror and utter disgust to see two Malay couples misbehaving in the pool right there in public without shame or even any consciousness of it being Ramadhan and in broad daylight?

I did what comes naturally to me now...get it all on digital camera, both video and photos.

I then went down to the security post and alerted the guards there as to the violation taking place in the swimming pool.

One of the guards told me that they have already sent an elderly guard over but as expected the Malay couples disregarded the old man and just carried on with their acts of maksiat.

I brought two guards with me to the pool and took additional snaps of the offensive couples.

I called over one of the Malay men and asked him if he is a Muslim?

He replied that he is a Muslim and asked me what was wrong? He told me that he has not done
any wrong and doesn't understand why the guard came and scolded them earlier?

So, to prove my point that I know what he and his partners have done, showed him the pictures and video of them misbehaving in the pool.

He went pale and was dumbfounded! I asked him then as to what else he has to say?

He admitted their mistakes and asked that I spare them this time. I replied that if they stop such nonsense, I might?

I told him that I came down to stop their nonsense because I cared for them and didn't want them to be left to their maksiat without being advised.

I asked him if he knew what month we are in and he replied yes, he knows that it is Ramadhan.

I asked him further if he is aware that what they are doing is not only haram in the general understandings of our Islamic faith but he and his partners are committing a grievous sin by disrespecting the general populace of our apartment by misbehaving so?

To cut the story short, I gave them an on the spot lecture about the do's and don'ts of our faith and both men apologized to me and promised not to repeat the mistake.

I showed them that I have the proof here with me and if I ever see them misbehave again, I will have no qualms in publishing such proof here in my blog!

I advised both females who were with them to get out of the pool and return home. Both females who were scantily clad then immediately got out of the pool and left as ordered.

So, ended an unfortunate episode today in the month of Ramadhan where I had no choice but to again be the one who puts to practice what I preach -`Amar bil Makruf wal Nahi iwal Mungkar'!

Enjoining the good and forbidding the evil!

My question is, ' How many of us bother to go and stop maksiat as it takes place before us?'

Do we out of our fear of the repercussions that might befall us if the perpetrators were to retaliate and come attack us for our reprimanding them?

Whom do we fear more?

These fellow human beings or Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala?

What will we say to Him when He questions us as to why we were deaf, dumb and blind to the maksiat taking place all over this nation before our very eyes?

What excuse will we come out with?

Do remember that if He Wills anything to take place; there is nothing on Earth or the entire universes that can stop it from happening?

We live as He Wills us to live and we will all die the very second that our time is up! Not a micro second earlier or a nano second too late!

`Qullu nafsin iza iqatul maut!

Verily all that lives shall taste Death!

So dear brothers and sisters, be aware of Allah!

Be mindful of all that we do and exercise wisdom in handling all the maksiat that is getting out of hand before us.

The time to break fast is approaching and I have to leave you with this advise.

Do what is right and forbid the wrong.

Insya Allah.

Wabillahi Taufik Wal Hidayah.

Wassalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

`Selamat berbuka puasa!'.

Lagu Tema Tahun Melawat Malaysia 2007

Aku cintai negaraku

Negaraku
(Ulangi) Fahami benda ini, yo,yo,yo
(Ulangi) Negaraku, Negarakuku.

Aku cintai negaraku, hanya kalau ada Negara, baru ada tempat tinggal
Nyanyilah kuat kuat, jangan takut
Walaupun aku mencarut sepanjang masa

Laguku seperti durian
Keras dan berduri, Cuma
Nak melihat samada kamu berani membukanya,
Melihat kebenaran didalamnya
Ianya mungkin berbau busuk, ianya mungkin wangi,
Terpulang jenis hidung apa kau miliki

Polis kami dipanggil ‘Mata’
Sebab mereka memiliki mata bersinar
Bilamana Tahun Baru, mereka akan bekerja keras
Memegang pena tetapi jarang menulis resit
Kerana mereka haus, mereka perlu minum teh

Juga kopi –O, nak tambah gula?
Jika mereka tambah gula, mulut mereka tersenyum manis kat kamu
Bila kamu nak beredar, mereka akan melambai ‘tata’

Negaraku
Tanah tumpahnya darahku

Secawan kopi mengeratkan perhubungan
Aku teramat suka

Sekurangnya bila aku balik rumah, tak adalah terima saman
Ayah aku mesti naik angin (kalau kena saman)
Aku juga kan (mencarut kata lucah) kalau takde kereta nak dipandu
Apa nak buat, zaman sekarang susah betul

Kalau tak ada kereta, macamana aku nak keluar gi main main (perempuan)
Kalau tak ada kereta, macamana aku nak pergi (menyundal)?
Kalau tak ada kereta, macamana aku nak gi tengok pondan?
Negara ini, aku suka sangat sangat.

Jam 5 pagi
Ada pula seruan pagi untuk kejutkan aku
Kekadang beberapa orang kan menyanyi berkumpulan
Bila engkau mendengarnya , seperti lagu duet cinta
Suara mendayu dayu seperti lagu R&B

Walaupun kekadang mereka bernyanyi sampai sumbang
Walaupun kekadang mereka bernyanyi sampai suara serak

Jangan persalahkan, kerajaan Cuma menjaga bumiputera
Jangan persalahkan, kita tak terima layanan sama rata
Hanya cara ini, kita buktikan bahawa Cina tak takut kerja keras
Hanya cara ini, kita melatih diri mencari jalan keluar semasa susah

Jangan rasa pelik tentang tahap mereka

Mereka lakukan semuanya perlahan lahan
Walau orang masih beratur, menyumpah (mencarut kemaluan ibu)
Mereka bersahaja dan tidak melatah

Sesetengah dari mereka membawa keluar kuih mereka
Mereka memakan kuih nyonya
Orang ramai tetap beratur
Walau kamu memaki hamun (anu busuk) tak jadi apa
Sebab pengawal kat tepi tu tengah bermimpi

Jangan jadi macam Cina
Sibuk sepanjang hari, amat susah

Kita memang tak boleh kagum semangat ini
Sebab inilah sikap mereka didalam hidup

(Sikap, sikap)

Engkau begitu bangsawan, engkau begitu anggun

Tahi engkau wangi, engkau tak mencarut
Korang memang kelas pertama, setiap hari berasmara

Dengarlah Guang Liang Pin Guan (artis tempatan Cina)
Tapi dia dah lari ke Taiwan
Sekolah swasta pelajar bergraduat
Teramat payah nak masuk universiti tempatan

Macam pelarian, terlalu syiok

2007, Malaysia adakan Tahun Melawat Malaysia
Budaya Cina dikeluarkan dan di arak
Kerajaan tak peduli tentang pelajar sekolah swasta
Sijil dicampak kedalam longkang, macam diriku

Namun mulutku masih bernyanyi

Rahmat Bahagia
Tuhan kurniakan
Raja kita Selamat bertakhta.

Tamat...........................................................................................................................................................

Amin Ya Rabbal Alamin!

HK Chinese man almost loses his manhood to a steel bench!

Hehehehehe!!! This guy must be the craziest Chinese man in Hong Kong!

He has made it in the main news of many news agencies by now for the stupidest sex crazed act in these gone stir crazy times?

Last night in Hong Kong, the police received a disturbing call from a man in trouble.

Xian, a 41 year-old man, was calling from Lan Tian park in the middle of the night.

The lonely and disturbed man had apparently thought it would be fun to have sex with one of the steel sit-up benches around the park.

The bench has numerous small holes in it, which Xian used to attempt to satisfy himself.

However, once he became aroused he found that he was stuck and could not get his penis out of the small hole. Aaaaarrrggghhh!!!!!!

He panicked and called the police to help him.

When police arrive they found Xian stuck face down where he had been stuck for some time.

When doctors arrived on the scene they tried to release some of the pressure by removing some of his blood, but the penis was so swollen that they ended up having to cut the entire bench free and take it, with Xian attached, to the hospital. Hohohohohoho!!!

4 painful hours later, Doctors finally separated Xian from his bench. Ouchh!!!

Doctors stated that if he had been stuck for even an hour longer, they would have had to remove his penis!

This is Xian walking off out of the hospital with his face hidden by a surgical mask obviously trying to remain anonymous for the sole reason of his gross stupidity in trying to fornicate with a stainless steel bench!!!

I know that people say the cost of living in Hong Kong is skyrocketing and that the costs of getting married must be pretty expensive as well but this outrageously unthinkable, most preposterous act of trying to release one's pent up sexual needs with a cold, stainless steel public bench's orifices is truly one for admission into the Most Stupid Human Behavior category in Ripleys Believe it or Not!

Xian will probably have to live out the rest of his life wearing that surgical mask to avoid future embarrassment!!!!

Hahahahahahaha!!!

I seriously hope that no one gets any similar ideas here in Malaysia for who knows what would the consequences be if any of the emergency rescue personnel should just be a bit careless in trying to extricate the fella's blood engorged phallus?

Aiyooo! Would be another 'Lorena Bobbitt' copycat act to surely make the headlines in tomorrow's newspaper!!!!

Hahahahaha!!!

Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll. Questions & Answers Session by Brother Abdur Raheem Greene

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Dear brothers & sisters,

The following is the Questions & Answers session by Brother Abdur Raheem Greene in his lecture tour of Australia.

May we get to improve on our understandings about these subjects by learning from the clear explanations by Brother Abdur Raheem by watching this video.

Insya Allah.

'Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll' Australian Tour Lecture by Brother Abdur Raheem Greene

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Dear brothers and sisters,

I pray that you are in the best of health and Iman by the Grace and Blessings of Almighty Allah, Lord, Creator, Cherisher, Sustainer of us all. Ameen.

Alhamdulillah! We are blessed once again to be able to watch and learn from one of the Islamic world's dynamic Caller to Islam, Brother Abdur Raheem Greene.

The subjects that he touches upon in this video are the main lifestyles that are drawing billions of humanbeings into the sin filled cesspool of social decadence, destroying mankind in these Last Ages.

I am not by publishing this video saying that sex, drugs and rock & roll are the cause of mankind's downfall from the glorious heights of human excellence and the pinnacles of human achievements that our forefathers once achieved in the Golden Age of Islam.

No sirree!

I say that the cause of mankind's fall from grace today is due to the fact that people simply do not learn as to how to go about these pursuits in the proper manners that is allowed in our faith?

Sex is a very important part and aspect of our human life.

The main criteria before one engages in sex is to be married to our chosen opposite sex partner and enjoy sex lawfully in the privacy and sanctity of our own private homes.

In Islam, sex between husband and wife is rewarded by blessings from Allah the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.

There are certain adabs @ modes of conduct that need to be observed in the sexual relationship between lawfully wedded couples in Islam.

There are important do's and don'ts that must be taken into consideration by every husband and wife in Islam. Sex is not something that is allowed to go out of control and perverted in our faith.

If you are a Muslim and a husband, you must learn and know of these things failing which you will expose your marriage life to fitnah and sin!

Therefore it is wajib upon each and every Muslim, male and female to learn about these subjects in order to save themselves from the trials and tribulations that befall almost everyone on Earth in our own individual life's.

Knowledge is power. Failure by us to add and improve on our acquired knowledge of our temporal life here on Earth and to be prepared to face what's in store for us in the Akhirat @ Hereafter?

`Ilm @ Knowledge is the key ingredient to ensure one's situation here in this life and the putting to practice of such knowledge is crucial to our success both while still being alive right now and when we die and our mortal bodies perish!

I am sure that once you are done watching this engaging video lecture by Brother Abdur Raheem Greene, you will come out better informed about what dangers we will stand to face if we are to ever lose control of ourselves in these disastrous pursuits of sex, drugs and rock & roll illicitly and out of the norms of Islam?

May Allah bless and guide us as we live out the remaining moments of our temporal life here.

Ameen.

Brothers and sisters, I present to you Brother Abdur Raheem Greene.

Sex, Drugs, Music...or is there more to life? The Deen Show Video.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Dear brothers and sisters,
How are you this morning? I sincerely hope and pray that you are in the best of health and Iman with the Mercy and Blessings of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

I am glad to be able to share with you today, a very straight to the point video interview of one of my favourite Callers to Islam, Brother Abdur Raheem Greene in The Deen Show, an Islamic TV program in the United States of America.

The topic of the interview is titled 'Sex, Drugs, Music...or is there more to life?'

Issues that are considered to be the main key ingredients of almost every modern living humanbeing in the major cities of the developed and developing countries all over the world.

Brother Abdur Raheem Greene explains clearly as to the dangers of people living in these times to dwell on just these kind of hedonistic lifestyle that depends on the presence of these often abused habits of the 'modern' secular masses of mankind.

Let's watch and learn from Brother Abdur Raheem Greene who shares with us clearly as to what humanbeings stand to be in danger of if they carelessly succumb to their Nafs @ Lusts and endanger themselves by involving themselves in such pursuits without considering the disastrous consequences of engaging in illicit sexual activity, taking drugs, alcohol, etcetera?

May there be some benefit for all of us from watching this interesting video interview.

Insya Allah.

Blame it on Syaitan! Really? The Video Series

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Dear brothers and sisters,

Ever since our Father, the Prophet Adam Alaihis Salam was created by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala in Jannatul Firdaus, the 7th Heaven, we learn of one makhluk @ creation of Allah Azza Wa Jalla that is the Syaitan or also known as Iblis Laknatullah who is reported to be our Father Adam's worst enemy and who swore to try his level best to mislead all of Adam's progeny - us mankind, man and woman from the Straight Path of Allah- Al Islam till the Yaum al Akhirat - Doomsday!

Personally, I think that Iblis Laknatullah is just part and parcel of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala's Master Plan for us, His Creation.

If not by the Will of Allah, do you think that the Chief of the Djinns in Paradise, Azazil (known later as Iblis or Syaitan) will have rebelled against Allah's Commandment for all the inhabitants of Paradise to sujud @ prostrate in humility before Adam Alaihis Salam?

Come to think of it!

Azazil refused to sujud before any other creation of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala because to him, he will sujud just to Allah Azza Wa Jalla and none other!

Now, isn't that a mark of the utmost level of Iman that any makhluk can have as a servant of Allah?

He was not like the Malaikats. He had willpower. He was a Djinn. Djinn are like us. Having willpower and Nafs. Malaikats have none but total devotion and submission to Allah's Will.

So, if we come to think of it, how many of us who are true servants of Allah will want to prostrate before any other makhluk @ creation of Allah?

I know that I won't. Does that make me a rebel against Ar Rahman?

Na'uzubillahiminzalik! May Allah forbid!

But here we are, in the Last Ages.

The last Ummah of the very last Prophet and Greatest Messenger of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala living in these tumultuos times and facing the deluge of fitnah and trials in our life today in this hedonistically inclined material and lust filled world.

I find it preposterous that there are billions of humanbeings who are so prone to blame it all on the Devil for the sins that they themselves willingly and knowingly commit?

A father rapes his daughter willingly with full knowledge of what he is doing and when caught claims not guilty!

A brother violates his sister and then claims that the devil made him do it! Really?

All other kinds of violent, brutal crimes are committed by humanbeings, ranging from the lowliest rascal to the high priest, imam or ulamak who all so bloody conveniently put the blame on the devil! On Syaitan or Iblis Laknatullah!

Are we so naive to not know the consequences of our actions?

I for one do not think so.

Mankind has been blaming Syaitan for all our sins unfairly!

Don't believe me?

Come, let's ponder on the fact that in this holy month of Ramadhan, aren't all the devils, evil djinns, syaitans, iblis, all locked up in the various Hells that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala commanded them into?

Then, how come all over the world, mankind still commit murders, rapes, theft, this and that like there is no tomorrow?

Who are we going to blame?

Think!

All evil spirits and syaitans, djinns, iblis, hantu's, kuai's, peiyee, etc are all incarcerated in Hell.

How come there is still so much sin and gross acts of disbelief, kufur, going on in the world?

Are humanbeings running on auto pilot in committing all these vices and evil deeds?

Do we still have the conscience to accept that we can't keep blaming Syaitan for the evil that we do?

I say that we are to be held totally responsible for each and everything that we do.

Don't blame your mother, your father, grandmother, grandfather, this and that fella for your sins!

Blame ourselves.

We decide. We choose. We must be fair to ourselves. Accept responsibility and face the music as a man or a woman for all that we become to be. That is the mark of a good humanbeing.

I wish to share with you these series that purports the understanding that for every sin of mankind, it is the horned one who is the culprit. Really?

How convenient, eh?

Hehehehe...okay, how many of us have done all these? Think!

Video 1
-'Don't wear the Hijab! You will look ugly!

How many of you have seen the way Muslimah's here in Malaysia wear their socalled hijabs in a way that does no justice to their wishing to cover their modesty?

Hello! When Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala commands us :

30. Qul lilmu/mineena yaghuddoo min absarihum wayahfathoo furoojahum thalika azka lahum inna Allaha khabeerun bima yasnaAAoona

30. Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: And Allah is well acquainted with all that they do.

He means for us to lower our eyes from looking at the exposed aurat of women who are not our mahram ( what more of our mahram) Na'uzubillah is for the sole reason that such a sight will remain burned in our memories just like a visual image is burned into a cd rom or dvd?

Allah then orders us to protect ourselves from committing zina and other sexual acts with those who aren't halal to us or even abuse our selfs!

Allah also commands us to cover our modesty (men) from our navels to our knees!

Allah then commands the believing women to :

31. Waqul lilmu/minati yaghdudna min absarihinna wayahfathna furoojahunna wala yubdeena zeenatahunna illa ma thahara minha walyadribna bikhumurihinna AAala juyoobihinna wala yubdeena zeenatahunna illa libuAAoolatihinna aw aba-ihinna aw aba-i buAAoolatihinna aw abna-ihinna aw abna-i buAAoolatihinna aw ikhwanihinna aw banee ikhwanihinna aw banee akhawatihinna aw nisa-ihinna aw ma malakat aymanuhunna awi alttabiAAeena ghayri olee al-irbati mina alrrijali awi alttifli allatheena lam yathharoo AAala AAawrati alnnisa-i wala yadribna bi-arjulihinna liyuAAlama ma yukhfeena min zeenatihinna watooboo ila Allahi jameeAAan ayyuha almu/minoona laAAallakum tuflihoona

31. And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! turn ye all together towards Allah, that ye may attain Bliss.

Allah commands the believing women @ the Muslimahs to draw their veils over their bosoms @ breasts - not try and wrap their hijabs around their necks, wear fancy looking transparent hijabs or tudungs that expose the bosoms like what many ignorant ladies here and elsewhere do?

I advise those who do not know as to how to wear their tudungs @ hijabs properly, to either go look it up or wait for my coming article concerning it. Insya Allah.

Video 2 - 'Why go to work if you can lie and stay at home?'

Video 3 - 'Drink alcohol, do not embarrass yourself, be fun!'

Video 4 -'Sleep is better than prayer'

Video 5 - 'Check out these sexy girls!'

Video 7 - 'Invite Syaitan to Dinner'.

Video 8 - 'Smoking is for cool adults'.

Video 9 - 'Forget about your mother!'

Video 10 - 'Show people below you who's boss?'

Video 11 - 'Just divorce her!'

Video 12 -'Why are you going to sleep? The fun just started!'

Your choices in life will only lead you to either Heaven or Hell?

Choose wisely. Insya Allah.

Malaysian Teenage Qari Mohammad bin Ahmad Zahid wins 1st place in Dubai's Qur'an Recital Contest.

Malaysian teenager's Quran recitation wins hearts

By Siham Al Najami, Staff Reporter
Published: September 19, 2008, 23:43

Dubai: The young Malaysian participant who was eventually declared the winner of the recitation event at the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) event had the jam-packed audience in a thrall.

The contest began at midnight on Thursday after the conclusion of programmes associated with the event.

The prizes will be announced on Saturday at 9.30pm in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, at the Cultural and Scientific Association.

There were seven participants in all who vied for the top three prizes. A Turkish contestant and a Kuwaiti participant were adjudged second and third respectively in the recitation event.

Showcasing talent

Thirteen-year-old Mohammad Bin Ahmad Zahid's performance moved some members of the audience to tears.

His recitation of verses from Surat Ar-Rahman (The Beneficent, The Mercy Giving) of the Quran during the stage of the competition when each participant was given seven minutes to showcase his talent went down especially well with those assembled.

The other contestants in the fray were from Yemen, Mauritania, Libya, and Somalia.

Speaking to Gulf News, other participants at the event recalled how they had pursued their Quran studies. Senoussi Daoud from Chad said he had memorised the Quran along with his three siblings in a Khalwa, a traditional mosque school in Africa.

The 20-year-old is a high school student at a public school that imparts the Saudi curriculum.

"Memorising the Quran is part of one's cultural upbringing in Chad. Most people in my hometown memorise the Quran," said Daoud.

Solidarity

He told Gulf News the Khalwa also served as key centres of education for those wanting to learn the Arabic language.

"Everyone in the Khalwa shares equally what is available. The values and the experiences of the Khalwa help to forge a solidarity among its members which lasts for a lifetime," said Senoussi.

Ahmedou Salem Taleb, a 21-year-old participant from Mauritania, said students used a lawlah, a small wooden tablet, to take notes while memorising the Quran back in his home country and generally across North Africa.

Students would then repeat what they memorised around 300 times-using the Misbah (counting beads), he said.

*******************************************

Alhamdulillah! May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala bless Mohammad bin Ahmad Zahid with the best of this life and in the hereafter.

Ameen!

This is the kind of achievements that Malaysia should be proud of instead of bragging about the longest this, highest that, biggest roti canai, etc.!!!

We have lots of bright sparks in this country. Unfortunately we are also saddled with the lousiest politicians both sides of the political theatre and from their actions, this country is now in danger of going to the dogs!

May Allah Azza Wa Jalla save us from these gone crazy fellows!

Ameen!

"Qullu nafsin iza iqatul maut" meaning 'Everything that lives shall taste death!'

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Brothers and sisters,

The title above refers to an ayah in the Holy Qur'an Surah Al Imran Chapter 3 Verse 185 which states clearly that everything that lives will come to its ultimate end @ death no matter what?

"Qullu nafsin iza iqatul maut" meaning 'Everything that lives shall taste death!'
Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Imran Verse 185

Verily Death is a process that will come to every living being, every organism and every creation according to the Will of God!

Not a second faster or a second later than what has been ordained on it by Allah the Almighty.

A Hadith of the Blessed Messenger, Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam explains in detail the process of the 'Ruuh' @ The Soul leaving the body!

"Huwa Qadru Tsalatsimi-Ati Dharbatin Biss Saiff!"

meaning 'The pain of Death is likened to the pain of being slashed with a sword 300 times!'

Hadith related by Imam Ibnu Abi Dunya.

For the Mukmin (those who are true believers) the 'Ruuh' is extracted in the gentlest manner by the Malaikatul Maut @ Angel of Death -Saiyidina Izra'il Alaihis Salam greatly reducing the pain of their death to very slight sensations of pain.

To the Disbelievers @ Kaffirs, Hypocrites @ Munafiqs and the Musyriks, the Soul is ripped out with the greatest of force by the Angel of Death!

God knows best! We will all find out when our time is up, won't we?

When a humanbeing is due to die and on his or her deathbed, their mouths will be sealed (spiritually) and 4 Malaikats @ Angels will come to him or her.

The 1st Malaikat @ Angel will greet them with the salam and proclaim ' I am the Malaikat @ Angel to whom has been entrusted your quota of sustenance @ Rezeki from the East to the West of this Earthly abode . Verily your sustenance has run out and I can't find anything more for you'.

Let me explain in detail as to this fact. Have you had this experience? You start having your meal and start eating a plate of rice together with your favourite dishes.

Do you recall any one time when you would finish off that plate of rice and be so meticulous to the extent that you would seek out every grain of rice and finish it off until you are left with a clean plate? At times you will even go for seconds!

Have you also gone through this contrasting experience? You start eating your meal and only after a few mouthfuls, you have had enough and you can't swallow not even half a handful or spoonful of rice anymore?

All these goes to show the truth of our getting our daily razq @ sustenance decided by Almighty Allah!

The 2nd Malaikat @ Angel will come to them , give the salam and say' I am the Malaikat @ Angel to whom has been entrusted your quota of drink from water sources or others. I have searched from the East to the West of this Earthly abode and can find not a drop more for you. Verily your time has come, please be ready.'

Just like the above example, we only get to drink whatever that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has measured out for us? Not a drop more ; not a drop less!

Then comes the 3rd Malaikat @ Angel who greets them with the salam and then proclaims ' I am the one to whom has been entrusted your breaths. I have searched from East to the West of this Earthly abode and have found not a breath more left for you!'

Now, this is also one of the most striking truths of our existence! Every breath we take is measured and dispensed according to our fate and Allah's Will!

Finally enters the 4th Malaikat @ Angel who upon greeting the person with the salam says ' I am the one to whom has been entrusted your time of death. Please be ready to return to your Lord within this hour!'

Then comes the 2 Malaikats @ Angels ascribed to each and everyone of us the Malaikats Kiramul Katibin @ Raqeeb and A'teed with our Records of Deeds from the right and the left of us.

The Malaikat of our right @ Raqeeb greets us : 'May peace be upon you. I am the one entrusted with your record of good deeds. Here is your record of good deeds, please take it.'

Then our records of good deeds comes out forth as a scroll of white sheet and we will be happy and pleased to receive it.

The Malaikat of our left @ A'teed then greets us with ' May peace be upon you! I am the one entrusted to record your every sins! Here they are . Please accept it!'

Then comes forth a black scroll full of our recorded sins and we would break out in cold sweat in fear and loathing.

Both Malaikats @ Angels then leave our deathbed leaving our records of deeds with us.

Enters then the Malaikatul Ma'ut @ The Angel of Death -Saiyidina Izra'il Alaihis salam. On our right will stand the Malaikat Rahmat @ the Angel of Mercy and on our left will stand the Malaikat Azab @ the Angel of Torture.

So , depending on our last acts and state of belief, our 'Ruuh' @ Soul will be treated accordingly. Some of us will have our souls taken out with a single pull , some will suffer , some will die in peace.

When our soul is already at our throats, the Malaikatul Maut will take our souls as per our fate is destined .

If we are among the blessed, the Malaikat Rahmat @ Angel of Mercy will call out to us. If we are among those who are accursed, then the Malaikat Azab @ Angel of Torture will call out our name!

The Malaikatul Maut then brings forth the soul to be presented to Allah, Lord Almighty , Master of all the Worlds.

If the soul is among those who are blessed, Allah SWT then commands ' Return the soul to it's home and let it witness its home after it's departure.'

The Angel then escorts the soul to its home and it sees for itself who is saddened by it's no longer being there and who isn't. The soul is not given the power of speech. So, it just watches silently.

The soul will then be brought back to it's remains in the grave to be interrogated by the Malaikats Mungkar and Naqir. The Interview of the Grave .

To be continued. Insya Allah!

Bazaar Ramadhan scenes at Pandan Indah & Bandar Tun Razak, KL.

Every year without fail, we will come across these familiar scenes of seasonal traders ply their foodstuffs to the fasting Muslims all over this nation.

The above footage is from the Bazaar Ramadhan at Pandan Indah and also at Jalan Jujur, Bandar Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur.

Chaotic scenes of people buying and selling all kinds of traditional foods and delicacies to the teeming masses.

Non Muslims also take advantage of the offering of all the lip smacking curries, cakes and delicacies being sold and mingle together with the fasting Muslims in buying whatever that they fancy?

Only in Malaysia!

"Does God Exist?" A Video Lecture by Abdur Raheem Greene

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Dear brothers and sisters,

This age old question is answered by the world famous Da'ee of the Central Mosque of London, Brother Abdur Raheem Greene using evidences from the Holy Qur'an Al Kareem.

Watch the full length video below and try to learn from this excellent lecture by one of my favourite Callers to Islam.

May Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala bless us with His Taufik and Hidayah and enlighten us with the clearest of understanding as to how we relate to Ar Rahman, our Creator.

Ameen Ya Rabbal Alameen.

PDRM dan rakyat Malaysia perlu bekerjasama menegakkan keadilan.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Wallahu 'alam bissawab.

Wabillahi Taufik Wal Hidayah.

Blogging our way to prison? A risk many of us face today.

FREE SPEECH IN THE MUSLIM WORLD

Some bloggers in the Muslim world have put themselves on the front lines in the struggle for open political expression - and are paying a severe price for it.

BY SHAHED AMANULLAH, FEBRUARY 4, 2007

"Excuse me, can I have my laptop back?"

It probably was not wise (or productive) for Abdel Kareem Nabil, who goes by the blogger name Karim Amer, to call his alma mater, Cairo's Al-Azhar University, "the university of terrorism."

But few expected that his blog would land him in an Egyptian jail on charges of "incitement to hate Islam" and "defaming the president of the republic."

His case has sparked international outcry and many say his imprisonment represents an alarming and growing trend in Egypt to stifle bloggers. In response to a growing movement called "Kifayeh" ("Enough" in Arabic), Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has renewed his Draconian emergency laws which have been in place nearly continuously since 1967.

Nabil's arrest is particularly alarming, says Amnesty International, because Egypt's blogs provide perhaps the only avenue to document human rights abuses in Egypt and to encourage civic dialogue.

But Egypt is not the only Muslim country that has cracked down on bloggers. Many Muslim countries that have relied on control of information to maintain power have struck back at bloggers who have used the relative freedom and availability of net access to challenge the status quo on everything from social mores to political taboos.

The discourse may not be a sophisticated critique of government - indeed, the majority of bloggers in the Muslim world post on the same mundane and/or titillating topics as do bloggers in the West - but the emergence of the Internet as a permanent fixture of life combined with relative (but not perfect) anonymity has invited many to push the envelope, with unexpected (or perhaps expected) results.

In Bahrain, the on/off availability of high-resolution Google Maps satellite images is allowing people to peer into the kingdom's lavish palaces for the first time, heightening resentment among those whose swimming pools (if they have them) are not big enough to be visible from space.

"Some of the palaces take up more space than three or four villages nearby," says Mahmood al-Yousif, one of the the most well-known Bahraini bloggers (at least until his site was also banned).

"People knew this already. But they never saw it." Until recently, Muslim countries with restrictions on information flow were content to implement massive firewalls (provided mainly by Sun and other US companies) to deny access to culturally and politically sensitive web content.

But limiting access has only served to increase demand (for political speech as well as adult sites). And with the advent of proxy sites and other means of circumventing blockages, the information is flooding in, creating a genuine sense of unease at the top.

This has led countries such as Iran to treat bloggers as a mortal threat. Iran, a country with a long history of harassing and jailing bloggers, has demanded the registration of all websites and weblogs sourced in the country by the end of February 2007.

"The authorities are making it clear that no one is permitted to criticize or even discuss religion, government's policies, revolution, ayatollahs and social problems," says Farnaz Seify, a feminist blogger in Tehran.

In 2005, Iran set the standard for criminalization of web speech by sentencing blogger Arash Cigarchi to 14 years in prison. Even the elite are not immune - an Islamic scholar in Qom was sentenced to three years for the writings on his blog.

When speaking of bloggers in the Muslim world, one cannot ignore the larger picture.

Many in the US government are looking eagerly at the emerging voices in the Muslim world, hoping to see in them the seeds of a reformist transformation.

Some policymakers are even trying to throw the weight of the US behind beleaguered bloggers, a move that will surely backfire.

While it is necessary and proper for the US to insist on the right of Muslims to freely express themselves, specific advocacy on behalf of individuals may cause more harm than good.

First of all, while these bloggers are certainly challenging the limits of expression in their country, they are not necessarily aligning themselves with America or US foreign policy.

In fact, many decry the American role in providing their countries with the equipment and logistics needed to suppress their online activities.

Second, the alignment of US political might on behalf of these bloggers will transform any politically liberating thinkers from voices of independence to perceived agents of the US, adding insult to injury (though, to be fair, most people in government circles that I have spoken to recognize that in this case, US hands are indeed tied.)

Organizations such as Amnesty International, Reporters Without Borders, and Human Rights Watch are, however, providing the most meaningful support for these bloggers.

These organizations must be supported and strengthened by people of conscience in the West. Muslims, too, need to get involved. As has been shown with Iraq, it is difficult to impose freedom from without.

The best chance that Muslim bloggers have of cultivating from within an atmosphere of open inquiry and vigorous political debate is through creating links with supportive Muslims around the world.

Insightful and compelling blogs from the Muslim world will lead to an international fan base, and this increased exposure can provide an additional degree of protection.

While restrictive governments may indeed feel threatened by political debate, they are also fearful of PR debacles in an increasingly globalized world. So while blogging from parts of the Muslim world may get people into prison, reading their blogs just might help keep them out.

Shahed Amanullah is editor-in-chief of altmuslim.com.

*********************************************
Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Now, the above article was published a year ago by the online Muslim news portal altmuslim.com.

The scenario for bloggers here in Malaysia is not any different from what Muslim bloggers face in the Middle Eastern countries.

Bloggers today face the risk of being arrested and thrown into prison under various charges ranging from the Sedition Act to the dreaded ISA, the Internal Security Act which has been used vigorously recently to cold storage those whom the Barisan Nasional Federal Government deems to be a threat to the nation's security.

I have long been stating that bloggers need to be responsible over what they are publishing as blogs are not personal journals once we set our blog systems to be visible online.

When we publish articles or viewpoints that touch on politics, race or religious issues, we expose ourselves to scrutiny and naturally anything that we publish falls into the same category as the mainstream media's publications or broadcastings, which are subject to legal action if and when such publications or broadcastings run afoul of the laws and are incitive or cause provocations to any person, party or authority?

We can't blog as we please for there is a social and legal responsibility that we bear when we join the online community, regardless of whatever field of blogging we choose to be in?

Bloggers today are accepted by society as those who provide an alternative media platform, free from official censorship save for our own depending on our self assessment and personal points of principle or mindsets.

Yet we have to consider all aspects of the repercussions of our postings and be ready to face the consequences of our publishings. We can't go blog and blast this and that person or ethnicity as we please but shy away and run from the resulting backlash, can we?

Blogging is a two way process. We blog and publish our thoughts and stand points on certain issues that we feel strongly about and it is a mark of our personal integrity when we dare to face the risks of whatever we publish and must accept the end results of such actions in publishing our articles online, for all to read and see.

The authorities of almost every country on Earth no matter Muslim or not have all turned into 'mimosa pudica's @ 'touch me nots' save for the Japanese who must be the only country in this whole wide world to have the most apologetic head of governments in a row?

Every one of their prime ministers have this tendency to accept, apologize and quit their posts the minute their errors are pointed out to them and their actions are absolute and instantaneous as their samurai tradition of committing 'seppuku'!

Over here in Bolehland, you can forget about seeing the same for our political masters have been very robust in practicing what the Malay idiom of ' bagaikan menuang air ke daun keladi' entails?

No matter how obvious their political slips ups have been exposed, shown and published in either the mainstream or alternative media, you can rest assured that they will still remain recalcitrant and claim that 'It wasn't me!'.

So, such a situation drives some of our bloggers nuts and folks like RPK and Kickdefella are pushed to do what they did.

I may not agree with all that RPK and Kickdefella published but I have to accept that amongst their many postings which go against the grain of what most of us accept to be the decent manners of blogging, there are some truths to their publications online!

So, where does that leave us who are Malaysian bloggers?

Do we quit blogging and hide away fearing repercussions?

I for one will remain true to my calling and blog for the truth and speak up for justice as what is the duty that I as a Muslim have to continue blogging in the Name of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

I blog mainly to disseminate information about Islam, the Religion that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala revealed for us mankind.

Apart from that, I share information about social and political issues that concerns us. I try my level best to check my articles for correctness before I click on the 'Publish Post' button.

If there are any errors, i am sure that you will just be too happy to come correct me in the comment section.

May Allah bless and guide me in my endeavour. Ameen.

Anwar's expired 16th September promises - All smoke and no fire?

Well, 16th September 2008 has come and gone overnight without Malaysians getting to see a political coup by the Pakatan Rakyat in succeeding to pull the carpet from under Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's feet and take over power from the BN at Putrajaya!

That's the danger of overpromising this and that by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim & Company way too soon and too confident in changing the course of this nation by way of initiating crossovers of BN Members of Parliament into the Pakatan Rakyat ranks.

Anwar Ibrahim sort of disappointed the hundred over media personnel who gathered at the PKR Headquarters yesterday expecting to hear earth shattering news from the PKR supremo only to hear the above explanations from him.

It surely speaks of a humongous political letdown as far as the millions of Malaysians who have supported him and the dissipation of the Permatang Pauh constituents dreams in seeing the man get to deliver upon his solemn promise to give Malaysia a brand new federal government by or on the 16th of September which was yesterday!

His detractors had a field day running him down at Utusan Malaysia, RTM TV1 and at Agenda Daily apart from all other media channels devoted to the BN.

'Over promising and under delivering' does not vouch much for the Opposition Chief's grassroots support in the long run for it will eat away at whatever support he has been building up for the Pakatan Rakyat ever since he was freed from incarceration.

Sometimes it is better for someone like Anwar to work his way upwards steadily like he should instead of always opting to settle for 'quick fix' arrangements to reach the pinnacle of his political career.

The old phrase of 'a man in a hurry' returns to haunt the PKR supremo just as he was termed as such before he was unceremoniously sacked from all his official positions by Mahathir 10 years ago!

He did the same didn't he before when he was Mahathir's golden boy only to be slam dunked by the old maestro of Malaysian politics back to square one in 1998?

Instead of slowly building up his ground base by delivering to his constituents and the general Malaysian people who have come to support the Pakatan Rakyat in all 5 states here in the peninsular, Anwar Ibrahim has once again been in a bit of a rush to go warm the PM's seat at Putrajaya by initiating this ungentlemanly political coup through attempting to get the BN MP's to crossover to his side?

I for one prefer to see the Pakatan Rakyat prove to us that they are capable of running this country better than the BN by going ahead with all kinds of reform and help the citizens of those 5 states under their rule first!

They should work hard and deliver all their promises to the people and wait for the next GE to takeover the Federal Government proper from the BN who obviously are serving their last term in office if the present political mood is to be so till 2012 or 2013?

Trying to pull a fast one like this turnover of the BN MP's just doesn't seem a honorable thing to do given the Pakatan Rakyat's battlecry of championing justice and fair play all these while?

This is my personal point of view, of course. I prefer to see Pakatan Rakyat win over power in a fair gentlemanly manner at the polls! Not see more 'Ibrahim Ali' types in the Pakatan Rakyat!!!

Has Anwar Ibrahim screwed up again just as he did in 1998 and are his detractors correct in assuming that his 16th September 2008 'Change of Government' strategy just a case of 'all smoke and no fire'?

From the feedback that I read and receive from many disappointed Malaysians online, we just can never tell as to what is really brewing here in Bolehland?

Abdullah Badawi says that all these talk of Anwar having more than 31 BN MP's ready to tango with him is all just a dream, a mirage!

For the moment being, it surely comes across exactly as what the BN President states!

Doesn't it?

Is there any truth to Anwar's claims or is it really all just a case of 'biting off more than one can chew?'

Wallahu alam bissawab!

p.s. To those who question as to why I am 'attacking' Anwar ; which I am obviously not, please bear in mind that I am a blogger who has been supporting Pakatan Rakyat without any vested interests except to see change here in our country!

Only clueless folks wouldn't know the difference between questions and statements!

If as a blogger, I am expected to be deaf, dumb and blind to any screwups of the Pakatan Rakyat, then those dimwits who sent me such nonsensical comments best go and study about what is meant by blogging for the truth and speaking my mind, free from aligning myself to any political parties regardless of my initial support for them?

I want to see our nation get better governance but it doesn't mean that I am obliged to overlook any faults of any one party or politician just because he or she is from the Pakatan Rakyat?

Just because I write against the screwups of the BN politicians doesn't have to mean that I will shut the hell up when it is anyone from the PR who fails to deliver as he or she promised us!

Hope this clarification will satisfy certain blokes who questioned me with regard to this article and help them learn that bloggers aren't to be branded as pro this or that party perse!

Najib joins the online community with his own website (updated)

Although a tad too late, the Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister, Dato Seri Mohd Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak has set up a website of his own or had someone set it up for him?

Being the ultra conservative one in the Malaysian BN Cabinet, Najib, who has been always been a bit reluctant to mingle with the masses and is always shielded by a phalanx of bush jacketed bodyguards, still screws up big with his choice of having a not so people friendly website.

I mean, the man is really not that loved by the general Malaysian public and I witnessed one incident recently at the Masjid Putra at Putrajaya where no one bothered to go greet the man and he just walked in right up to the front saff @ prayer row, prayed his Jumaat together with the jamaah and when he left, no one got up and greeted him as he left, surrounded by his phalanx of bush jacketed bodyguards.

What does that tell us? No connection with the masses. You can only see folks who have vested interests come and greet the man when there is something to be gained like in the recent Permatang Pauh by election when some funds were being distributed to the villagers in order to induce them to vote for the BN candidate.

Ng Yen Yen was more glaring in her distributing of RM200 ang pows to old folks in the 'buy election' yet Anwar Ibrahim in his comeback bid into Malaysian politics was voted into power there with a larger majority than his wife!

So Najib needs to be more open to the people and not try to wing it like he has done here with this attempt to drive his stake in the online community with such a boring website!

http://www.1malaysia.com.my/v1/index.php is not really that welcoming or user friendly compared to blogs and I don't think that Malaysians are gonna be so gungho in supporting his obviously lacklustre attempt to join the Malaysian online community.

If Najib really wants to join us here in blogosphere, he ought to loosen up and remove the barriers so that Malaysians can either come in with their bouquets or brickbats such as what other prominent BN bloggers have done?

Take Tun Dr.Mahathir's http://www.chedet.com for example. He's the reigning King of the Malaysian Blogosphere now.

The Grand Old Man of Malaysian politics has broken all Malaysian blogosphere records by having 6 million over hits at his blog within the shortest time possible!

Every article of Che Det gets an average of a couple of hundred comments from his visitors! Now, that's something to be reckoned with!

Not that all who go and comment at his blog love the fella but you've got to hand it to him that he has achieved some sort of a huge following at his blog despite the criticisms of him being a bloody recalcitrant ex-dictator of Malaysian politics over the last 2 decades?

So, I seriously would like to advise Najib Tun Razak to loosen up and turn his website into a proper blog and get rid of the form featured below that he is asking folks to fill up before commenting?

What does he think this blogging thingamajig is?

An online application to secure 'scholarships' as what we all have now heard involving him before?

Najib should use the blog systems the way we bloggers do!

He may moderate the comments coming his way but please lay off all the unnecessary phishing for visitor details!

He just stopped short of asking for our IC numbers...hehehehehehe!

No one would even bother to go and comment if he keeps the present set up. No sirree!

The question is whether the man really, really wants to join us here in Blogosphere and get his website be revamped into a proper blog where visitors are free to come in and comment albeit not anonymously?

Is Najib game? Will he heed this advise from a 'fellow blogger' or shy away as I expect him to?

The greatest Messenger of God Almighty and the Saviour for all Mankind.

This video is streamed live from HarunYahya.tv so give it time to load up. Insya Allah.

My experience has been that I let it play bit by bit till the entire movie is played out. The replay will be much more smoother without any hiccups. Insya Allah.

Those of you who have faster broadband speed would not have any problems watching it in the first run itself.

Anyway, here's hoping that you will enjoy the movie as much as I did and still do. Cheers!

Sejarah Melayu according to a Malaccan Student.

Dear fellow Malaysians,

This set of hilarious answer papers by a secondary student in Melaka just breaks me up!

I have erased the name of the school in order to safeguard their reputation for this one student does not represent them.

The answers really shows the kind of standards or rather lack of it that we have prevailing in the Malaysian educational system today!

Do we even wonder as to why our local universities have fallen in rank compared to others in the region if not the world?

Maybe the Education Minister ought to be asked as to what kind of students do we have today in Bolehland?

Read this student's answers and weep!

Setelah Agama Islam dipupuk. penganut agama Islam mengenal sistem tenaga nasional.

"In English, they are too shy to do tat stuff in the light. scared people see ma. Stupid".

Let me explain k!?

Tetapi perjalanannya susah sehingga banyak awek iblis yg cantik menggodanya.

Dia terpaksa mencari pengikut untuk membantunya.

Iaitu seekor Monyet, Babi, Kuda dan Hantu Air.

Selepas mendapatkan kitab suci, Raja syaitan dikalahkan.

Dia ini seorang askar, generallah dunno wat pangkatlah 4 get liau.

Dia mahu kill all the stupid Japanese because they samurai all so lazy steal stuff.

Lepas itu dia pun feng huat chai lo. His people want to kill him pun tak jadi.

Harap maklum.

The Value of Knowledge, Instruction and Learning Together by Nabih Amin Faris

SECTION I

On the Value of Knowledge, Instruction, and Learning together with its evidence in tradition and from reason.

The excellence of knowledge The evidence for the excellence of knowledge in the Qur’an [is manifest] in the words of Allah: “Allah bears witness that there is no Allah but He, and the angels, and men endued with knowledge, established in righteousness.”(3:16)

See, then, how Allah has mentioned Himself first, the angels second, and men endowed with knowledge third.

In this you really have honour, excellence, distinction and rank.

And again Allah said: “Allah will raise in rank those of you who believe as well as those who are given knowledge.” (58:12)

According to ibn-`Abbas[14] the learned men rank seven hundred grades above the believers; between each two of which is a distance five hundred years long.

Said Allah. “Say,`shall those who know be deemed equal with those who do not?” (39:12)

Allah also said, “None fear Allah but the wise among His servants;” (35:25) and again, “Say, `Allah is witness enough between me and you, and whoever hath the knowledge of The Book!’ ”(13:43 )

This I mention to you in order to show that it was possible only through the power of knowledge.

Allah also said, “But they to whom knowledge hath been given said, `Woe to you! The reward of Allah is better [for him who believes and does right],” (28:80) showing thereby that the great importance of the hereafter is appreciated through knowledge.

And again Allah said, “These parables do we set forth for men: and none understands them save those who know.” (29:42)

Allah also said, “But if they were to refer it to the Apostle and to those in authority amongst them, those of them who would elicit the information would know it” (4:85)

He thus made the knowledge of His will dependent upon their efforts to find it out, and placed them next to the prophets in the [ability] to make it known.

It has been said that in the following words of Allah, “O Sons of Adam! We have sent down to you raiments wherewith to cover your nakedness, and splendid garments; but the raiment of piety-this is best,” (7:25) the raiments represent knowledge, the splendid garments, truth, and the raiment of piety, modesty

Allah also said, “And We have brought them a book: with knowledge have We explained it;” (7:50) and again, “But it is clear sign in the hearts of those whom the knowledge hath reached;” (29:48) and, “With knowledge will We tell them;” (7:6) and again, “[He] hath created man, [and] hath taught him articulate speech.” (55:2-3) This, however, He said reproachfully.

As to [the evidence of the value of knowledge in] tradition (al-akhbar) the Apostle of Allah said, “Whom Allah doth love, He giveth knowledge of religion and guideth him into the straight path;”[15] and again, “The learned men are the heirs of the prophets.”[16]

It is also well-known that there is no rank above that of prophethood, no honour higher than its inheritance.

The Prophet also said, “What is in the heavens and in the earth intercedes for the learned men.”[17] And what rank is higher than that of him for whom the angels of the heavens and earth labour interceding with Allah on his behalf, while he is preoccupied with himself.

Muhammad also said, “Wisdom adds honour to the noble and exalts the slave until he attains the level of kings.”

The Prophet pointed this out relating to the benefits of wisdom in this world, since it is well-known that [5] the hereafter is superior and more lasting.

Muhammad said again, “Two qualities the hypocrite lacks - good intentions and religious insight.”[18]

Do not doubt tradition, then, because of the hypocrisy of some contemporary jurisprudents; theirs is not the jurisprudence which the Prophet had in mind. (The definition of jurisprudence will come later).

For a jurisprudent to know that the hereafter is better than this world is, after all, the lowest type of knowledge he can possess. Should it prove to be true and prevail, it would clear him of hypocrisy and deceit.

The Prophet said, “The best of men is the learned believer who, if he is needed, he will be useful; and if dispensed with, he will be self-sufficient. "

And again he said, “Belief is like unto a nude who should be clothed with piety, ornamented with modesty and should have knowledge for progeny.”

And again, “The nearest people to prophethood are the people of knowledge and the warriors of jihad”: the former have led men to what the prophets have proclaimed, and the latter have wielded their swords on its behalf.

He also said, “The passing away of a whole tribe is more tolerable than the death of one learned man.”

And again, “Men are like ores of gold and silver, the choicest among them during the Jahiliyah days are also the best during the days of Islam, provided they see the light.”[19]

He also said, “On the day of resurrection the ink of the learned men will be likened to the blood of the martyrs.” And again, “Whoever preserves of the law forty Traditions in order to transmit them unto my people, I shall, on the day of resurrection, be an intercessor and a witness on his behalf.”

Muhammad also said, “Any one of my people who will preserve forty hadiths will on the day of resurrection face Allah as a learned jurisprudent.”

And again, “Whoever will become versed in the religion of Allah, Allah will relieve him of his worries and will reward him whence he does not reckon”

The Prophet also said, “Allah said unto Abraham, `O Abraham! Verily I am knowing and I love every knowing person’.” And again, “The learned man is the trustee of Allah on earth.”

The Prophet said, “There are two groups among my people who when they become righteous the populace becomes righteous, and when they become corrupt the populace becomes corrupt: these are the rulers and the jurisprudents.”

Again he said, “Should the day come wherein I increase not in knowledge wherewith to draw nearer to Allah, let the dawn of that day be accursed.”

Concerning the superiority of knowledge to worship and martyrdom, the Prophet said, “The superior rank the learned man holds in relation to the worshipper is like the superior rank I hold in relation to the best of men.”[20]

See how he placed knowledge on an equal footing with prophethood and belittled the value of practice without knowledge, despite the fact that the worshipper may not be ignorant of the worship which he observes?

Moreover, without this knowledge there would have been no worship.

The Prophet also said, “The superior rank the learned man holds over the worshipper is similar to the superiority of the moon when it is [6] full over the other stars.”[21]

And again, “They will, on the day of resurrection, intercede [before Allah]: the prophets, then the learned, then the martyrs.”[22]

Great then is the state of knowledge which ranks next to prophethood and stands over martyrdom, the merits of the latter notwithstanding.

The Prophet also said, “Allah was not worshipped with anyone better than the learned in religion. Verily a single jurisprudent is more formidable to Satan than a thousand worshippers.”[23]

For everything has [its] foundation. and the foundations of this religion is jurisprudence. And again, “The best part of your faith is [also] the easiest, and the best form of worship is jurisprudence.”

The Prophet also said, “The learned believer holds a rank seventy degrees higher than that of the ordinary believer.”

And again. “Verily you have come upon a time whose jurisprudents are many and Qur’an readers as well as preachers are few, whose beggars are rare and givers numerous, wherein deeds are better than knowledge. But there will come a time when jurisprudents are few and preachers many, whose givers are few and beggars numerous, wherein knowledge is better than works.”[24]

The Prophet also said, “Between the learned and the worshipper are a hundred degrees, each two of which are separated by the extent of a racing horse’s run in seventy years.”[25]

The Prophet was also asked, “O Apostle of Allah! What works arc best?” To which he replied. “Your knowledge of Allah.” He was then asked. “Which knowledge do you mean?” He answered, “Your Knowledge of Allah.” Again he was asked, “We enquire about works and you reply concerning knowledge.”

Muhammad then said, “With your knowledge of Allah, a few works will suffice, but without such knowledge, no works, however numerous, avail.”

The Prophet also said, “On the day of resurrection Allah will [first] raise the worshippers and then the learned to whom He will say, ‘O ye company of the learned, I did not imbue you with My knowledge but for My knowledge of you. Moreover, I did not imbue you with My Knowledge in order to torment you. Go ye, therefore, for verily I have forgiven you’.”[26]

As to [the evidence of the value of knowledge in] the sayings of the Companions (al-athar), `Ali ibn-abi-Talib[27] said to Kumayl,[28] “O thou perfect of knowledge ! Knowledge is better than riches; for knowledge guardeth thee whereas thou guardest riches. Knowledge governs while riches are governed. Riches diminish with spending but knowledge increases therewith.”

And again, “The learned is superior to the fasting, praying and self-mortifying man. Should the learned die, a gap would be created in Islam [by his death] and no one would fill this gap save one of his successors.”

`Ali said:

“Learning is the glory of mankind,

The wise are beacons on the road to truth;

Man is worth his knowledge, nothing more –

The fool will be his inveterate foe,

Knowledge is man’s hope of life immortal,

Man may die but wisdom liveth ever.”

Abu-al-Aswad[29] said, “Nothing is more precious than knowledge; while kings rule over men, they are ruled by the learned.”

Ibn-`Abbas said, “Solomon the son of David was asked to choose between knowledge, wealth or power, but he chose knowledge and was thereby blessed with wealth and power as well.”[30]

Ibn-al--Mubarak[31] was asked, “Who constitute humanity?” To which he replied, “The learned”. It was then said, “And who are the kings?” He answered, “The ascetics”. And who,” he was asked, “constitute the lowest class among men?” “Those,” said he, “who, in the name of religion, grow fat in the world.”

Thus only the learned did [ibn-al--Mubarak] regard as belonging to mankind, because it is knowledge which distinguishes man from the other animals. Furthermore, man is a human being, not because of his physical prowess for physically the camel is his superior; not because of his size for the elephant is larger; not because of his courage for the lion is more courageous; not because of his appetite for the ox has the greater; not because of coitus for the least of the birds is more virile than he, but rather by virtue of his noble aims and ideals. [As a matter of fact] he was only created to know.[7]

One of the wise men said, “Would that I might know what thing was attained by him whom knowledge has escaped, and what thing has escaped him who has attained knowledge.”

The Prophet said, “Whoever has been given the Qur’an and thinks that anyone has been given something better, he has degraded what Allah has exalted.”

Fath al-Mawsili[32] said inquiring, “Would not the sick die, if he is given no food or drink or medicine?” They said, “Yes”. To which he said, “Similarly the heart will perish if it is cut off from wisdom and knowledge for three days.”

He did indeed speak the truth, for the nourishment of the heart, on which its life depends, is knowledge and wisdom, just as the nourishment of the body is food.

Whoever lacks knowledge has an ailing heart and his death is certain; yet he is not aware of his doom because the love of this world and his concern therewith have dulled his sense, just as a shock from fright may momentarily do away with the pain of a wound although the wound be real.

Thus when death frees him from the burdens of this world he will realize his doom and’ will, though to no avail, greatly regret it.

This is like the feeling of a person who has attained safety after having been through danger, and like that of a man who has just recovered from his drunkenness.

We seek refuge in Allah from the day when all things will be brought to light. Men are asleep but at death they Will awake. Al-Hasan[33] said, “The ink of the learned Will be likened to the blood of the martyrs, and the former will prove superior.”[34]

Ibn-Mas`ud[35] said, “Seek ye knowledge while it be found; it will be veiled when its narrators pass away. Verily, by Him in whose hand is my life, several men who died martyrs in the cause of Allah would rather that, at resurrection, Allah would raise them up as learned men for what they see of the veneration accorded the learned.”

No one is born learned, but knowledge is only the result of learning.

Ibn-’Abbas said, “I would rather spend a part of the night in learned discussion than in continual prayer.” The same was related of Abu-Hurayrah[36] and Ahmad ibn-Hanbal.[37]

AI-Hasan said that in the words of Allah, “Give us good in this world and good in the next,” (2:197) the good in this world meant knowledge and worship while that of the next signified paradise.

A wise man was once asked, “What things shall we possess?” He replied, “Those things which you will not lose in the event of shipwreck,” meaning thereby knowledge, while by shipwreck, it is said, he meant the decomposition of the body through death.

A certain wise man said, “Whoever takes wisdom for his bridle will be acclaimed by men as their leader, and whoever is known for his wisdom will be looked upon with respect.”

Al-Shaf’i[38] said “One of the noble things about knowledge is that he who is given a portion of it, no matter how small, rejoices while he who is deprived of it grieves.”

‘ Umar[39] said, “O men! Seek ye knowledge. For verily Allah has a mantle of love which He casts upon him who seeks knowledge even of a single section. Should he then commit an offence, Allah will remonstrate with him thrice in order not to rob him of his mantle, even though that offence may persist with him until he dies.”

Al-Ahnaf[40] said, “The learned men came very near being Allahs; and all power which is not supported by knowledge is doomed"

Salim ibn-Abi-al-Ja’d[41] said, “ My master bought me for three hundred dirhams and later set me free. Thereupon I said, ‘What shall I take up for livelihood? Finally I took up learning and no sooner had a year passed than the prince of Makkah called upon me but I would not receive him.”

Al-Zubayr ibn-abi-Bakr[42] said, “My father had written me while in al-’Iraq saying. ‘Go after knowledge; should you become poor it will be your wealth, and should you become rich it will be your embellishment’.”

This has been related among the exhortations of Luqman[43] to his son). He also said, “Sit in the company of the learned and keep close to them; for verily Allah quickens the hearts with the light of wisdom as he refreshes the earth with the rain of heaven.”[44]

A certain wise man said, “When the learned dies the fish of the sea as well as the fowl of the air will mourn him; while his face shall disappear his memory will not be forgotten.”

AI-Zuhri[45] said, “Knowledge is glorious and is not treasured except by the glorious.”

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Dear brothers and sisters,

Such is the respect and value given to knowledge and those who seek it. The more one gains righteous, beneficial knowledge and understands it, the more valued is he or she before Allah the Almighty.

The learned one who teaches it in turn to those who are still in the dark is the one who is promised safety from the Hellfire and guaranteed his or her abode in Paradise.

Today, we see the learned amongst us grow stingy with their 'Ilm. They prefer to sit on their behind in the comfort of their high offices and allow the ignorant masses wallow in their sins of following their lusts and wanton egos.

It is the gist of my dissatisfaction with those in our nation who call themselves as 'alims and 'ulamaks yet do not so much as to come teach the Ummah who are today drowning in the sea of maksiat and religious misunderstandings.

Those in authority have a moral responsibility to guide the masses. They are in position to see to it that the society is prevented from falling into ruin yet the hundreds and thousands of all these 'alims turn zalim.

They ignore the perils of such ignorance seeping into our society and many fall prey to the wolves disguised as sheep in these tumultuos times.

If a nation is to be better, then its leaders need to do what they have been entrusted to do?

Shirking their responsibility and turning around on their fat cushioned seats of office, many of such learned ones would say that it is the people who need to go and seek such knowledge on their own?

Self improvement is the key.

Yes, such are the excuses of those who neglect to live up to the very oaths of taking office that they swore upon the Holy Qur'an and before Almighty Allah!

Today, Muslims have been left to just being those who are constricted to be in a state of taqlid insted of being creative in seeking further explorations and discoveries in ijtihad

Read here to learn a bit about the lethargic state that most Muslims around the world are mired in?

The reason for such a miserable state is that the 'alims have grown to so love this world and have developed a state of 'Wahn @ love of this life and hatred of death.

Most of our scholars are reduced to just taking care of themselves and not giving a hoot about the Ummah.

Until these 'alims and ulamaks start getting down from their high offices and robustly enter into the mainstream of our society and address the many ills affecting the hearts and souls of the ignorant many in the Ummah, this state of ignorance will spread awide and destroy the remnants of what Muslims came to attain in the Islamic Golden Age, now reduced to being entered in the encyclopedias of the world, remembering an age gone by?

To those of you who love seeking knowledge, know that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will reward you with the best of this life and in the next IF after attaining such knowledge you teach others so that after you are dead and buried, the seeds of 'ilm that you sowed in your students will germinate and spring forth from them, continuing the passing of the knowledge from one generation of mankind to the next!

Insya Allah.

Wabillahi Taufik Wal Hidayah.

Kenyataan YAB Tuan Guru Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Yang Di ‘Haramkan’ dari Harakah

RAKYAT TERENGGANU SALAH PILIH PESURUHJAYA PAS

Meredakan hati siapa? Hati pemimpin Umno?

Bahkan Allahyarham Dato’ Haji Asri Muda sekalipun pernah meninggalkan Parti PAS.

Cuba perhatikan maksud Surah Az Zumar Bab 39 Ayat 53  :

Katakanlah (wahai Muhammad): "Wahai hamba-hambaKu yang telah melampaui batas terhadap diri mereka sendiri (dengan perbuatan-perbuatan maksiat), janganlah kamu berputus asa dari rahmat Allah, kerana sesungguhnya Allah mengampunkan segala dosa; sesungguhnya Dia lah jua Yang Maha Pengampun, lagi Maha Mengasihani.

Ini adalah bacaan do'a Sayyidul Astaghfar :

Begitu sekali hebatnya pengampunan Allah!

Insya Allah.

Wabillahi Taufik Wal Hidayah.

Anti ISA stand - Congratulations Law Minister Datuk Zaid Ibrahim!

I am referring of course to the Malaysiakini news report highlighting Malaysian Law Minister YB Senator Datuk Zaid Ibrahim's objection to the continuous usage of the draconian Internal Security Act to stifle opposition by citizens of this country to the ruling Barisan Nasional Federal Government!

It's about time that someone from within the BN Government had the integrity to denounce the BN's using of the ISA to cold storage Malaysians who expose the wrongs being committed by the BN and to state it as it should be?

I have been refraining from commenting on the current ISA arrests involving Raja Petra Kamaruddin and Teresa Kok due to wanting to get more feedback regarding their cases but I gather that if I wait too long, things will just keep on deteriorating in our country.

The Malaysian Government ought to consider the objections of even its own Law Minister and seriously reconsider detaining people in these days under the ISA.

Our country has enough laws to be used to charge anyone under the Common or Shariah laws.

Using the ISA to deny anyone a fair trial only reduces our country to be regarded as a 3rd world dictatorship and will further destroy any once of respect that we have before the whole wide world.

Charge the ISA detainees in court according to whatever crimes they are arrested for in the first place.

This is the decent thing to do and as a registered citizen voter of this country, I sincerely ask that the Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar reconsider the recent ISA detentions of all those who are now incarcerated.

As for YB Senator Datuk Zaid Ibrahim's stand against the usage of the ISA, I salute you sir!

You have my support in this. Congratulations and well done.

Rintihan seorang Mualaf - Kisah Duka Saudara Baru

*****************************************

Bacalah kisah kami seterusnya disini.

A plea for dialogue and free speech by Azril Mohd Amin

Sep 13, 08 12:39pm

There have recently been innumerable public statements, from the ministerial level to the general public, which assert that various people - or everyone in the case of the most recent statement from our Deputy Inspector-General of Police - should stop discussing various subjects deemed inappropriate and dangerous.

The ambiguity of these statements casts doubt on Malaysian understanding of the principles involved in free speech.

Free speech cannot be either legislated or regulated by such terminology as 'responsible', 'non-divisive' or 'sensitive'.

The public relations effect of government officers attempting to forbid discussion of certain topics is basically dangerous and most likely counter-productive because it only encourages people to rebel against control.

Police especially should never be put in the position of enforcing notions of 'divisiveness' or 'non-divisiveness' without proper, detailed rules with review by competent authorities, assuming that expression needs to be regulated to this degree in our society.

As Thomas Jefferson so eloquently put it, government has no authority over the thoughts of the citizenry.

It is only when such thoughts are expressed in actions, deleterious to the public good - either by direct physical confrontation or 'inciting' words which may probably result in such action - that government can take action.

And in order to guarantee that this fundamental principle of free speech is secured, we must promote an effective and respectful network of communications among the major races and religions residing in this nation.

ISA detentions destroy public trust

Until such time as Muslims can produce an acceptable model of Islamic governance, the government should not even try to regulate and discipline what we citizens are thinking, or even saying.

The definition of sedition has little meaning in a society in which so many thoughts and sayings are pronounced seditious by officials who may feel threatened by such talk; the word becomes political-speak for "you are dangerous to us and our established order". ISA detentions can be particularly destructive of public trust by the very virtue of this component.

Inter-faith dialogue in the service of 'common cause' is always welcome to Muslims so long as it does not intrude upon matters of faith or rituals.

This is because the differences between Islam and other religions, as for example glossed over by the principles of secularised Islam, are very difficult to reconcile, but by discussion, understanding evolves and respect for the beliefs of others grows.

Inter-racial dialogue, on the other hand, comes much closer to fulfilling the Quranic verse which explains creation of the different races and ethnic groups as a means of interest to each other and learning from one another, rather than confrontation.

Malaysia must prove Samuel Huntington wrong in his thesis of 'civilisational clash'.

Inter-faith diologue more difficult

Nowadays, individual identity relates primarily to culture, whereas religious belief constantly crosses cultural lines. Therefore, dialogue among the cultures here in Malaysia should be organised and promoted according to ethnicity rather than religiosity.

We should have no shame in relating to others from the viewpoint of our culture, whereas inter-faith dialogue is very much more difficult and must be approached more delicately and with both faith in your beliefs and openness to respect the faith of others.

The rules of courtesy should regulate our inter-ethnic relations precisely because almost no one can agree about the various priorities followed in the name of religion. If government does not wish to follow a policy of "forced assimilation", it must promote inter-racial dialogue at every opportunity, in order to avoid degeneration into religious conflict.

It must also have a similar strategy on religious issues to encourage an understanding of this component of the different cultures.

We do not interfere with each other's religion, and we follow our Quranic admonition to approach each other with sincere interest, which especially implies full personal security. There is no other way to achieve civilised life.

Thanks to all who are concerned about me.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Dear brothers and sisters,
I would like to thank all those who have been calling me non stop to enquire as to my status?

I would like to assure everyone that I am fine so far and still here.

I thank Brother Premesh of Malaysiakini, Royce of The Star, Chen of Merdeka Review, Emmanuel from DAPSY, Hasbullah Pit, Tian Chua of PKR, etc for calling and asking me whether it is true that I have been taken in by the force?

They must have been worried following reading reports that I too have been arrested under the ISA from fellow bloggers NNora75Reform and Puaka Keramat Blogspot.

I am still here. We never know what's in store for us, do we?

I have written and blogged about matters that I believe to be the truth and so help me God. It is not in me to write fitnah or create any ISA warranted situation.

We are Malaysians and need to voice out for the sake of the good of our nation. Sure, those who feel slighted will not feel so mushy about us but we blog because we care.

That's something that needs to be taken into consideration by the parties involved.

The truth needs to be told no matter what so that justice has a chance to live.

All I can say is that I truly appreciate all those who are concerned about me and wish me well.

May Allah bless you.

La haula wala quwwata illa billah hil aliyyil adzhim bil sultanik.

Zainol Abideen.

Pakatan Rakyat ought to honour the democratic process.

Dear Malaysians,

I have actually been not that happy with all this 16th September BN MPs crossover tactics to Pakatan Rakyat that has been the brainchild of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Maybe I am just one of those old school fellows who like to see any political process be carried out through the ballot box.

I mean, let's be rational here.

The 12th Malaysian General Elections saw the Pakatan Rakyat coalition of PKR, DAP and PAS win 4 states that have all these years been under the BN. PAS retained Kelantan as expected and we were all happy with the election results.

There were no lives lost, no one got seriously injured in any squabbles between the opposing parties.

Beautiful.

The BN under Abdullah Badawi got a damn tight slap from the people and old tyrants like Samy Vellu, listless ones like Koh Tsu Koon got sent off to the political lala land, etc.

Fine.

So, for the first time in our nation's history, Parliament saw the Malaysian Opposition become state governments in 5 states and most other BN majority states saw the BN win by a very slim margin.

That's good. At least we all taught the BN a lesson that they will not forget overnight.

Now, when Datuk Seri Wan Azizah quit the P44 Permatang Pauh Parliamentary seat to make way for her husband, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and saw Anwar still get elected back into power after a 10 year absence from Parliament despite the BN's awesome election machinery being utilised all out against the man, he prevailed over Ariff Shah Omar Shah and is now the Opposition Leader in Parliament.

Great!

But then again, I grimaced with discomfort watching Anwar repeat his over eagerness to take over the Prime Ministership from Abdullah Badawi, forgetting the very values of justice and principles of democracy that we all want to see in this nation be practiced by all, both the BN and the Pakatan Rakyat!

I mean, what kind of an example will the Pakatan Rakyat be setting for our nation's politicians if they still pursue this ungentlemanly manner of buying over the BN MP's?

Those BN MP's were voted into power by their constituents!

What would they feel when they see those MPs jump ship and betray their trusts?

I know that most people in politics are mostly after money, power and position. There's no need to beat around the bush with it but let's just call a spade just that!

I say it is against the true spirit of justice and fairplay that most of us believe in and want to see be upheld here in Malaysia.

How would Anwar and all the Pakatan Rakyat leaders feel if there were Pakatan Rakyat MPs who jumped over to the BN?

Hello, we are talking about the possibilities of such froggies jumping here and there?

What guarantees are there that it wouldn't be possible?

If money, power and position is all that is important to our nation's politicians, then we are all screwed!

Politicians should realize that they represent us, the Malaysian people.

We, the citizens who voted them into power, did so because we believed in them and expect them to be the best that they can be and not betray our trusts!

Sure, we all hate the BN like hell for all the injustice that they have committed against us all these years but at the same time, does Pakatan Rakyat have to try beat them at their own game?

Do you fight injustice with worse acts of criminal breach of trusts of the voters?

Let's be rational for a while and look at the scenario.

The BN is now still the legitimate federal government but they now have to face the strongest opposition in Parliament ever in our nation's history.

There is no way that they can do as they please again for the Malaysian people have now awakened from their political awareness coma that they have been in all these while and will not allow the BN to lord it over them as before?

Yet, we do have to allow the due democratic process to take its course here in Malaysia and wait for the next GE to kick them out of office.

All these 16th September crossover shenanigans by Anwar and the Pakatan Rakyat doesn't tally with what I have been supporting them with all these while.

I sincerely hope that commonsense will prevail and all parties get back to work in improving our lot!

The BN owes us like hell and they should work doubly hard if they are to remain in power for the rest of this term.

Pakatan Rakyat ought to practice what they preach and show us what they can do better in governing the 5 states of Kelantan, Penang, Kedah, Perak and Selangor?

Show us your mettle and prove to us that you guys can do a better job with running those states now entrusted to you!

If we can see that you guys can really deliver and be fair to all as you promised, what is there to stop us from voting you into power in the next GE?

Think about it and don't get greedy or impatient as the proverbial 'dog with a bone in its mouth' which came across its reflection in the stream'?

We all know what would be the end result, don't we?

Do what you have been entrusted to do and show the BN that you guys are fit to run Malaysia by delivering us results yet by going about it in the fair and democratic way that we all wish to see prevail here!

There you have it, my feelings unloaded after all these time since I heard of these crossover caper!

I am strongly all for a change of government here in Malaysia but I surely will not support any bloody party that tries to take over power in a way that smacks of treachery and breach of the people's trusts!

As Almighty Allah is my witness, I hereby ask that Anwar and the rest of Pakatan Rakyat heed this heartfelt call by one of your supporters and fear Allah and the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam in ruling over the people in the ways and manners which reflect the true leadership qualities of those of us who are Mukmins!

Failing which, I know that the repercussions of breaching the people's trusts will come back swiftly to haunt those who go against the true principles of justice as what is ordained in Islam!

May Allah bless and guide us all.

Ameen.

Forging a new Malaysia - Striving for peace amidst racist adversity!

Dear fellow Malaysians.

The recent developments in the political theatre of our nation especially concerning the erupting of crude and crass racist policies taken by the Penang UMNO Division spearheaded by the UMNO Bukit Bendera Chief Datuk Ahmad Ismail is something very serious that if not curbed or nipped in the bud by this nation's Prime Minister Dato Seri Abdullah Badawi can and will lead to very damaging consequences for this country's future?

It is also a very clear sign of the lack of forward thinking leaders in this nation of 26 over million people who are being held to ransom by the racist policies of the Barisan Nasional ruling coalition since this land achieved independence from the British Colonials in 1957.

For all the so called advancements that we hear our national leaders speak of every now and then in the field of infrastructure, developments, etc., the country seems to have neglected to groom the incoming politicians of this nation to the required standards of statesmanship, both in their intellectual prowess, strength of character, religious principles, fundamental foundations of leadership and decency of character.

Taking for example, the crude and crass manners of those racists in UMNO Penang, I feel sad to see people who are supposed to be Muslims, forget the very fundamental values of being one?

There is actually no provisions at all for any Muslim to adopt racist attitudes and threaten others just based on their narrow minded divisive policies which stem from their political interests and not that of the faith of Islam in their life.

In fact, the Blessed Prophet of Allah, Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam has left for us a Standing Oder in the form of his Final Khutba where the Blessed Messenger explicitly forbids any form of racism to be practiced by us, his followers and those who claim to be Muslims?

The blatant racist statements coming from Penang's UMNO leaders exposes them to be those who are clearly not fit for political leadership in this multi ethnic, multi faithed nation.

Although the culprit may have been suspended from UMNO for 3 years, it makes a mockery of justice for the PM to threaten to use the ISA on others who speak of such a blatant disrespect towards one's fellow citizens and a lame attempt by the Deputy IGP of Police to cow others into silence!

Isn't it the classic case of these chaps missing the elephant butt before their very eyes only to zoom in on mosquitoes across the river?

Malaysia Boleh?

Don't think so. Malaysia is now just like a ship missing the bloody rudder. We seem to be caught in a whirlpool my friends.

A political whirlpool which needs a stronger captain to pull this nation out of the cesspool it seems to be headed into?

May Almighty Allah save us all.

Ameen.

Perintah Allah SWT untuk kita mengerjakan Solat

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Ta'ala Wabarakatuh.

idris@hmetro.com.my

(Riwayat Muslim)

“Memanglah, apabila solat pasti syaitan datang menggoda kita, tetapi kita jangan layan.

Insya Allah.

Fanning the flames of racism in Malaysia - The Dangers.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

I am worried for our nation. Very worried.

So worried that my heart feels so constricted and my emotions are starting to swell up, fearing the worse that can come out from the current racial tones being spewed by politicians who don't bother to consider what their words and statements tend to spark off another disastrous wave of racial and religious conflict amongst the multi-ethnic, multi-faithed communities that Malaysia consists of?

From day one, I have had this premonition of racism flaring uncontrolled through the hearts and minds of desperadoes in the prevailing ruling BN coalition parties who seem oblivious to the dangers of speaking emotionally and irrationally without considering the consequences that their racist statements will have on the future of this country?

For all the so called peace and harmony that the BN has been claiming to champion all these while, the actions, reactions and statements being spewed forth by UMNO Penang's leaders threatens to destroy the fragile state of calmness and tolerance that the majority of the Malaysian people are trying very hard to maintain and upkeep?

I am dismayed to see the PM Dato Seri Abdullah Badawi failing to stem and nip in the bud all these racist threatening gestures and blatant attempts to sow discord between the Malays and the Chinese populations of Malaysia by the UMNO chiefs of Penang?

The current racism fuelled tense political atmosphere over there in Penang is not something to be disregarded and ignored by the ones in power over Malaysia today?

If the Malaysian Government under the BN today fails to keep in check or take corrective action decisively and swiftly to curb or dissipate the building tensions between the Malay and Chinese communities there in Penang, chances of the current political face off fed by inflammatory insensitive remarks and pontificating stands of the UMNO Penang warlords and equally recalcitrant ones from the Chinese leaders can only lead to a disastrous ending between us soon?

I call upon the Malaysian authorities to not waste anymore time in stepping in and reprimand the folks in Penang from getting out of hand for we do not need to have a fullblown racial conflict break out amongst fellow Malaysians at this or any other time in the future?

The current racial conflict being propagated by those who fail to consider what their actions can lead to stems from their failure to heed the Almighty's Commands to be fair towards their fellow mankind.

Those who are aware of the do's and don'ts of the Islamic faith will not behave in such racist ways.

The Prophet of Allah, Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam forbade us to differentiate and discriminate between Mankind.

As Muslims we ought to realize that whatever we do or say has its rewards or punishments both here on Earth and in the Hereafter?

Islam is very clear about the equality of Mankind and it opposes racial prejudice and racism in any form is forbidden in our faith.

The way our Muslim UMNO brothers are behaving over there in Penang goes against the very fundamentals of these principles.

Have our fellow Muslims there forgotten the contents of Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam's Khutba al Wida @ Final Khutba where he stated :

O ye people, without doubt, God is one, just the same as you can have only one father. All of you are children of Adam, and he was fashioned from the earth's clay.

Beware, no Arab is superior to an alien, nor is an alien superior to the Arab.

No red is superior to the black, nor is a black superior to the red.

For human excellence is in the effort we make in our trying to follow the ordained word of Allah, and the actions of his prophet, in word and deeds.

Allah's honored are those blessed amongst you who fear Him most. Hearken! Have I conveyed? The companions said, 'Yes, you have conveyed, peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.'

The prophet, peace and blessings of the Lord be upon him, then said, O ye present, convey my words to the absent witness. {Reported in Targheeb o Tarheeb un Jabar bin Abdallah, Jamhrata Khatab ul Arab.}

So my dear fellow Muslims of Malaysia, especially those of you who are Malays, let me ask you as to whether you do believe that Islam our faith calls upon us to be racists or to be fair to all?

I for one do believe that the rights of the Malays are enshrined in the Constitution of Malaysia and that none from amongst the Non Malays have any rights to encroach upon such rights since the Chinese and Indian migrant populations have long acknowledged such rights and their leaders have signed such acknowledgment into the founding documents of post British Malaya!

Today, we all accept that those of us living today here in Malaysia are mostly born here in this land and no longer merit being called immigrants.

It is therefore ridiculous for our UMNO politicians to still harp on chasing born Malaysian citizens of the Chinese and other ethnicities to foreign lands all because of the way some folks in the BN have deteriorated to being sore losers in the recent P44 Permatang Pauh Parliamentary By Election and the recent 12th Malaysian GE which saw the BN lose 4 other states to the already remaining steadfastly PAS ruled State of Kelantan?

I just wish to remind such UMNO politicians to not go against the Amanat of Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam as reproduced by the relevant excerpt above?

Do we as Muslims disrespect the Blessed Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassalam by being defiant and recalcitrantly be championing such notions of Assabiyah?

Does anyone of the racist politicians refute the reality that when we as Muslims die, it is in our faith that we will be visited by the two Malaikats @ Munkar and Nakir?

Do any of the racist ones threatening to unleash another 13th of May, 1969 bloodbath dare to refute that the Malaikats of the Grave will be asking the following questions to our souls when we are in our graves?

"When a believing slave comes close to the Hereafter and nearer to the end of the present life (i.e. at a state of last breath), angels descend to him; two angels come to him, make him sit up and ask him:

1. Who is your Lord?

He replies ''My Lord is Allah".

2. Then he is asked: "And what is your religion?"

He replies: "My religion is Islam."

3. He is asked again: "Who was that person who was sent to you?

" He answers: "He is the Prophet of Allah, Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam."

4. Lastly, he is asked: "And what did you do?"

He answers: "I read the Book of Allah, and I believed in it."

After that Allah says (interpretation of meaning): {My Servant has spoken the truth, so spread a bed for him in Paradise, clothe him from Paradise and open a door towards him from Paradise.}.

In relation to a disbelieving slave, the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, said: "When the disbelieving slave comes close to the end of the present life and nearer to the Hereafter (i.e. at a state of last breath), two angels will come to examine him.

They will ask him "Who is your Lord"?

He will reply: "Alas, alas, I do not know."

Then they will ask him: "Who is your Prophet"?

He will reply: "Alas, alas, I do not know."

Then he is asked: "And what is your religion"?

So, he will reply: "Alas, alas, I do not know."

Then Allah says (interpretation of meaning): {He has lied, so spread a bed for him from Hell, clothe him from Hell, and open towards him a door into Hell…}.

So the Muslim is asked four questions:
  1. Who is your Lord?
  2. What is your religion?
  3. Who was that person who was sent to you?
  4. And fourthly: What did you do?
Whereas the non-Muslim is asked three questions:
  1. Who is your Lord?
  2. What is your religion?
  3. Who was that person who was sent to you?
So Allah will make the Muslim firm in his answers and guides him to the correct answer, whereas He lets the non-Muslim to be on his or her own?

This is what is meant by the saying of Allah (interpretation of meaning):

{Allah keeps firm those who believe, with the firm word, in worldly life and in the Hereafter. And Allah lets astray the wrongdoers. And Allah does what He wills.}[14:27].

The Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, said: "When a Muslim is questioned in the grave, he will testify that "Laa ilaaha Illallaah Muhammadun Rasoolullaah'' (there is None worthy of worship but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah), this is the saying of Allah (interpretation of meaning):

{Allah keeps firm those who believe, with the firm word, in worldly life and in the Hereafter.}. We ask Allah to keep us firm with the firm word in this worldly life and in the Hereafter. Ameen.

Now, I would like to ask my fellow Muslims who are rabidly championing Assabiyah to this very day, especially back home in Penang as to whether the Malaikats of the Grave will ever ask us:
  1. What is your race?
  2. Are you a bumiputera or non bumi?
What do you think?

They will surely like hell not bother as to what ethnicity we are, will they?

All that the Malaikats of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will bother about are those questions stated above and they won't give a hoot as to who the hell we are over here on Earth?

They won't care that all your life, you lived in a bloody istana, palace, mansion, etc. or that you had all the honorifics emblazoned right before the very names that your parents named you with?

They wouldn't even care that all your life you had people bow to you, had addressed you as Tuanku, Tengku, Engku, Raja, Megat, Nik, Tun, Tan Sri, Datuk Paduka, Datuk Panglima, Dato' and all other earth bound honorifics that people so crave to have before their very names here?

Yes sirree...

All that the Malaikats will care about is to whether we have been Believers in Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and obeyed the Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam, lived our life's as true servants of Almighty Allah, been good to ourselves, our families, our neighbours, our fellow mankind, etcetera?

I believe that if we Malaysian Muslims can strive our best to live up to our faith and practice what we preach, the non Malays and non Muslims of Malaysia will see the truth of Islam, it's justice and fairness towards all of Allah's makhluk and not bother those of you who are so worried about losing your 'rights'?

We all live between the 5 prayers and at the Will and Mercy of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

We may have been blessed to be able to pray our Subuh prayers. There is no guarantee that we can make it to Zohor?

Same goes for those of us who make it to settle our Zohor prayers.

Is there any certainty that we might make it to Asar?

Again, those who get to pray Asar, what guarantee is there that they will be able to pray Maghrib and from Maghrib to Isya and all the way to the next Subuh?

Learn to live as true Muslims, dear brothers and sisters and please...please realize that all these rants and raves about this race being better than that race is all pure hogwash that belongs to the Age of Jahilliyyah!!!

We are now living in the Last Ages.

All the prophecies of Rasulullah Sallalahu alaihi Wassallam concerning the Signs of the coming of the Yaum al Qiyamat have all come to pass and we are amongst those who need to get ourselves focused towards upholding the true teachings of Islam as bequethed to us by our Blessed Prophet?

Can we afford to destroy the peace and harmony of this multi ethnic, multi faithed country just because of some misguided souls who have lost their bearings and remain stuck in the rut of the ignorants?

Think!

May those who are angry remember the nasihah of the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam and reflect back as to where they are and where they should be?

The Ulamaks of this nation and the Malay Sultans must not remain as mere observers and watch this country go to hell!

Remember that the Amanah of Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam rests upon your shoulders too!

You will be the first ones to be questioned by Allah Azza Wa Jalla as to what you did and did not do with regard to the responsibilities given by Him to you in the Akhirat?

May those of you who are the 'Ulul 'Amri protect us and guide the ones getting out of hand to be back on the track of Ad Deenul Islam and serve the people in the manner that this nation expects of them?

Ameen Ya Rabbal Alameen.

Wabillahi Taufik Wal Hidayah.
