SELAMAT HARI RAYA IDUL FITRI 1429H
Didalam Kitab Shahih Bukhari Bab Kitab `Ahkam.
Sadaqa Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam.
Tuan tuan puan puan sekelian.
Wabillahi Taufik Wal Hidayah.
Wassalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Walillah hil hamd.
Abdillah,
Zainol Abideen.

Along the small stalls lined up along the Chow Kit Bazaar was a stall selling traditional Malay kueh. Is this a kind of pulut panggang?
If I am not mistaken, the delicacy in the tray is called 'lompat tikam' a sweet sourish dessert.
Here are the delicacies that you can find being sold at the kueh stall

Debat Rakyat - The Online Bloggers Parliament
Fellow Malaysian Bloggers.
Introducing the online 'Debat Rakyat' Bloggers debating platform that has been launched by http://nobisha.wordpress.com/
For starters, Brother Nobisha has listed a 100 bloggers as his YB's.
YB's meaning 'Yang Berblog'. Hehehehehe.
Yours truly has been listed amongst the pioneering bloggers in this online debating platform and I look forward to see what is going to take place here?
It would be good to learn from our fellow Malaysian Bloggers in discussing the various issues that we are all concerned about in a proper platform such as this where I am sure that the Tuan Speaker @ YB Nobisha would do us proud by not following the actual infallible Tuan Speaker of our beleaguered Dewan Rakyat's narcissistic tendencies in running the place!
I wish YB Nobisha all the best in his venture and stand ready to throw in my support in this project.
Debat Rakyat - your online Bloggers Parliament.
Let the debates begin!
China must stop victimising its Muslim population!
China should be ashamed for this gross violation of human rights when even its 'Big Brother' Russia has got rid of its previous 'Iron Curtain' mindset and has allowed its citizens the freedom to practice their preferred religion as shown by the video below!

Negarakuku -Terjemahan Liriknya dalam Bahasa Melayu dan Temubual Media dengan Wee Meng Chee sesudah siasatan PDRM
Kredit Pengenalan
Lagu Tema Tahun Melawat Malaysia 2007
Aku cintai negaraku
Negaraku
(Ulangi) Fahami benda ini, yo,yo,yo
(Ulangi) Negaraku, Negarakuku.
Aku cintai negaraku, hanya kalau ada Negara, baru ada tempat tinggal
Nyanyilah kuat kuat, jangan takut
Walaupun aku mencarut sepanjang masa
Laguku seperti durian
Keras dan berduri, Cuma
Nak melihat samada kamu berani membukanya,
Melihat kebenaran didalamnya
Ianya mungkin berbau busuk, ianya mungkin wangi,
Terpulang jenis hidung apa kau miliki
Polis kami dipanggil ‘Mata’
Sebab mereka memiliki mata bersinar
Bilamana Tahun Baru, mereka akan bekerja keras
Memegang pena tetapi jarang menulis resit
Kerana mereka haus, mereka perlu minum teh
Juga kopi –O, nak tambah gula?
Jika mereka tambah gula, mulut mereka tersenyum manis kat kamu
Bila kamu nak beredar, mereka akan melambai ‘tata’
Negaraku
Tanah tumpahnya darahku
Secawan kopi mengeratkan perhubungan
Aku teramat suka
Sekurangnya bila aku balik rumah, tak adalah terima saman
Ayah aku mesti naik angin (kalau kena saman)
Aku juga kan (mencarut kata lucah) kalau takde kereta nak dipandu
Apa nak buat, zaman sekarang susah betul
Kalau tak ada kereta, macamana aku nak keluar gi main main (perempuan)
Kalau tak ada kereta, macamana aku nak pergi (menyundal)?
Kalau tak ada kereta, macamana aku nak gi tengok pondan?
Negara ini, aku suka sangat sangat.
Jam 5 pagi
Ada pula seruan pagi untuk kejutkan aku
Kekadang beberapa orang kan menyanyi berkumpulan
Bila engkau mendengarnya , seperti lagu duet cinta
Suara mendayu dayu seperti lagu R&B
Walaupun kekadang mereka bernyanyi sampai sumbang
Walaupun kekadang mereka bernyanyi sampai suara serak
Jangan persalahkan, kerajaan Cuma menjaga bumiputera
Jangan persalahkan, kita tak terima layanan sama rata
Hanya cara ini, kita buktikan bahawa Cina tak takut kerja keras
Hanya cara ini, kita melatih diri mencari jalan keluar semasa susah
Jangan rasa pelik tentang tahap mereka
Mereka lakukan semuanya perlahan lahan
Walau orang masih beratur, menyumpah (mencarut kemaluan ibu)
Mereka bersahaja dan tidak melatah
Sesetengah dari mereka membawa keluar kuih mereka
Mereka memakan kuih nyonya
Orang ramai tetap beratur
Walau kamu memaki hamun (anu busuk) tak jadi apa
Sebab pengawal kat tepi tu tengah bermimpi
Jangan jadi macam Cina
Sibuk sepanjang hari, amat susah
Kita memang tak boleh kagum semangat ini
Sebab inilah sikap mereka didalam hidup
(Sikap, sikap)
Engkau begitu bangsawan, engkau begitu anggun
Tahi engkau wangi, engkau tak mencarut
Korang memang kelas pertama, setiap hari berasmara
Dengarlah Guang Liang Pin Guan (artis tempatan Cina)
Tapi dia dah lari ke Taiwan
Sekolah swasta pelajar bergraduat
Teramat payah nak masuk universiti tempatan
Macam pelarian, terlalu syiok
2007, Malaysia adakan Tahun Melawat Malaysia
Budaya Cina dikeluarkan dan di arak
Kerajaan tak peduli tentang pelajar sekolah swasta
Sijil dicampak kedalam longkang, macam diriku
Namun mulutku masih bernyanyi
Tuhan kurniakan
Raja kita Selamat bertakhta.
Tamat...........................................................................................................................................................

Blame it on Syaitan! Really? The Video Series
Dear brothers and sisters,
Ever since our Father, the Prophet Adam Alaihis Salam was created by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala in Jannatul Firdaus, the 7th Heaven, we learn of one makhluk @ creation of Allah Azza Wa Jalla that is the Syaitan or also known as Iblis Laknatullah who is reported to be our Father Adam's worst enemy and who swore to try his level best to mislead all of Adam's progeny - us mankind, man and woman from the Straight Path of Allah- Al Islam till the Yaum al Akhirat - Doomsday!
Personally, I think that Iblis Laknatullah is just part and parcel of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala's Master Plan for us, His Creation.
If not by the Will of Allah, do you think that the Chief of the Djinns in Paradise, Azazil (known later as Iblis or Syaitan) will have rebelled against Allah's Commandment for all the inhabitants of Paradise to sujud @ prostrate in humility before Adam Alaihis Salam?
Come to think of it!
Azazil refused to sujud before any other creation of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala because to him, he will sujud just to Allah Azza Wa Jalla and none other!
Now, isn't that a mark of the utmost level of Iman that any makhluk can have as a servant of Allah?
He was not like the Malaikats. He had willpower. He was a Djinn. Djinn are like us. Having willpower and Nafs. Malaikats have none but total devotion and submission to Allah's Will.
So, if we come to think of it, how many of us who are true servants of Allah will want to prostrate before any other makhluk @ creation of Allah?
I know that I won't. Does that make me a rebel against Ar Rahman?
Na'uzubillahiminzalik! May Allah forbid!
But here we are, in the Last Ages.
The last Ummah of the very last Prophet and Greatest Messenger of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala living in these tumultuos times and facing the deluge of fitnah and trials in our life today in this hedonistically inclined material and lust filled world.
I find it preposterous that there are billions of humanbeings who are so prone to blame it all on the Devil for the sins that they themselves willingly and knowingly commit?
A father rapes his daughter willingly with full knowledge of what he is doing and when caught claims not guilty!
A brother violates his sister and then claims that the devil made him do it! Really?
All other kinds of violent, brutal crimes are committed by humanbeings, ranging from the lowliest rascal to the high priest, imam or ulamak who all so bloody conveniently put the blame on the devil! On Syaitan or Iblis Laknatullah!
Are we so naive to not know the consequences of our actions?
I for one do not think so.
Mankind has been blaming Syaitan for all our sins unfairly!
Don't believe me?
Come, let's ponder on the fact that in this holy month of Ramadhan, aren't all the devils, evil djinns, syaitans, iblis, all locked up in the various Hells that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala commanded them into?
Then, how come all over the world, mankind still commit murders, rapes, theft, this and that like there is no tomorrow?
Who are we going to blame?
Think!
All evil spirits and syaitans, djinns, iblis, hantu's, kuai's, peiyee, etc are all incarcerated in Hell.
How come there is still so much sin and gross acts of disbelief, kufur, going on in the world?
Are humanbeings running on auto pilot in committing all these vices and evil deeds?
Do we still have the conscience to accept that we can't keep blaming Syaitan for the evil that we do?
I say that we are to be held totally responsible for each and everything that we do.
Don't blame your mother, your father, grandmother, grandfather, this and that fella for your sins!
Blame ourselves.
We decide. We choose. We must be fair to ourselves. Accept responsibility and face the music as a man or a woman for all that we become to be. That is the mark of a good humanbeing.
I wish to share with you these series that purports the understanding that for every sin of mankind, it is the horned one who is the culprit. Really?
How convenient, eh?
Hehehehe...okay, how many of us have done all these? Think!
Video 1 -'Don't wear the Hijab! You will look ugly!
How many of you have seen the way Muslimah's here in Malaysia wear their socalled hijabs in a way that does no justice to their wishing to cover their modesty?
Hello! When Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala commands us :

30. Qul lilmu/mineena yaghuddoo min absarihum wayahfathoo furoojahum thalika azka lahum inna Allaha khabeerun bima yasnaAAoona
30. Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: And Allah is well acquainted with all that they do.
He means for us to lower our eyes from looking at the exposed aurat of women who are not our mahram ( what more of our mahram) Na'uzubillah is for the sole reason that such a sight will remain burned in our memories just like a visual image is burned into a cd rom or dvd?Allah then orders us to protect ourselves from committing zina and other sexual acts with those who aren't halal to us or even abuse our selfs!
Allah also commands us to cover our modesty (men) from our navels to our knees!
Allah then commands the believing women to :

31. Waqul lilmu/minati yaghdudna min absarihinna wayahfathna furoojahunna wala yubdeena zeenatahunna illa ma thahara minha walyadribna bikhumurihinna AAala juyoobihinna wala yubdeena zeenatahunna illa libuAAoolatihinna aw aba-ihinna aw aba-i buAAoolatihinna aw abna-ihinna aw abna-i buAAoolatihinna aw ikhwanihinna aw banee ikhwanihinna aw banee akhawatihinna aw nisa-ihinna aw ma malakat aymanuhunna awi alttabiAAeena ghayri olee al-irbati mina alrrijali awi alttifli allatheena lam yathharoo AAala AAawrati alnnisa-i wala yadribna bi-arjulihinna liyuAAlama ma yukhfeena min zeenatihinna watooboo ila Allahi jameeAAan ayyuha almu/minoona laAAallakum tuflihoona
31. And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! turn ye all together towards Allah, that ye may attain Bliss.
Allah commands the believing women @ the Muslimahs to draw their veils over their bosoms @ breasts - not try and wrap their hijabs around their necks, wear fancy looking transparent hijabs or tudungs that expose the bosoms like what many ignorant ladies here and elsewhere do?I advise those who do not know as to how to wear their tudungs @ hijabs properly, to either go look it up or wait for my coming article concerning it. Insya Allah.

"Qullu nafsin iza iqatul maut" meaning 'Everything that lives shall taste death!'

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
Brothers and sisters,
The title above refers to an ayah in the Holy Qur'an Surah Al Imran Chapter 3 Verse 185 which states clearly that everything that lives will come to its ultimate end @ death no matter what?

"Qullu nafsin iza iqatul maut" meaning 'Everything that lives shall taste death!'
Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Imran Verse 185
Verily Death is a process that will come to every living being, every organism and every creation according to the Will of God!
Not a second faster or a second later than what has been ordained on it by Allah the Almighty.
A Hadith of the Blessed Messenger, Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam explains in detail the process of the 'Ruuh' @ The Soul leaving the body!
"Huwa Qadru Tsalatsimi-Ati Dharbatin Biss Saiff!"
meaning 'The pain of Death is likened to the pain of being slashed with a sword 300 times!'
Hadith related by Imam Ibnu Abi Dunya.
For the Mukmin (those who are true believers) the 'Ruuh' is extracted in the gentlest manner by the Malaikatul Maut @ Angel of Death -Saiyidina Izra'il Alaihis Salam greatly reducing the pain of their death to very slight sensations of pain.
To the Disbelievers @ Kaffirs, Hypocrites @ Munafiqs and the Musyriks, the Soul is ripped out with the greatest of force by the Angel of Death!
God knows best! We will all find out when our time is up, won't we?

When a humanbeing is due to die and on his or her deathbed, their mouths will be sealed (spiritually) and 4 Malaikats @ Angels will come to him or her.
The 1st Malaikat @ Angel will greet them with the salam and proclaim ' I am the Malaikat @ Angel to whom has been entrusted your quota of sustenance @ Rezeki from the East to the West of this Earthly abode . Verily your sustenance has run out and I can't find anything more for you'.
Let me explain in detail as to this fact. Have you had this experience? You start having your meal and start eating a plate of rice together with your favourite dishes.
Do you recall any one time when you would finish off that plate of rice and be so meticulous to the extent that you would seek out every grain of rice and finish it off until you are left with a clean plate? At times you will even go for seconds!
Have you also gone through this contrasting experience? You start eating your meal and only after a few mouthfuls, you have had enough and you can't swallow not even half a handful or spoonful of rice anymore?
All these goes to show the truth of our getting our daily razq @ sustenance decided by Almighty Allah!
The 2nd Malaikat @ Angel will come to them , give the salam and say' I am the Malaikat @ Angel to whom has been entrusted your quota of drink from water sources or others. I have searched from the East to the West of this Earthly abode and can find not a drop more for you. Verily your time has come, please be ready.'
Just like the above example, we only get to drink whatever that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has measured out for us? Not a drop more ; not a drop less!
Then comes the 3rd Malaikat @ Angel who greets them with the salam and then proclaims ' I am the one to whom has been entrusted your breaths. I have searched from East to the West of this Earthly abode and have found not a breath more left for you!'
Now, this is also one of the most striking truths of our existence! Every breath we take is measured and dispensed according to our fate and Allah's Will!
Finally enters the 4th Malaikat @ Angel who upon greeting the person with the salam says ' I am the one to whom has been entrusted your time of death. Please be ready to return to your Lord within this hour!'
Then comes the 2 Malaikats @ Angels ascribed to each and everyone of us the Malaikats Kiramul Katibin @ Raqeeb and A'teed with our Records of Deeds from the right and the left of us.
The Malaikat of our right @ Raqeeb greets us : 'May peace be upon you. I am the one entrusted with your record of good deeds. Here is your record of good deeds, please take it.'
Then our records of good deeds comes out forth as a scroll of white sheet and we will be happy and pleased to receive it.
The Malaikat of our left @ A'teed then greets us with ' May peace be upon you! I am the one entrusted to record your every sins! Here they are . Please accept it!'
Then comes forth a black scroll full of our recorded sins and we would break out in cold sweat in fear and loathing.
Both Malaikats @ Angels then leave our deathbed leaving our records of deeds with us.
Enters then the Malaikatul Ma'ut @ The Angel of Death -Saiyidina Izra'il Alaihis salam. On our right will stand the Malaikat Rahmat @ the Angel of Mercy and on our left will stand the Malaikat Azab @ the Angel of Torture.

So , depending on our last acts and state of belief, our 'Ruuh' @ Soul will be treated accordingly. Some of us will have our souls taken out with a single pull , some will suffer , some will die in peace.
When our soul is already at our throats, the Malaikatul Maut will take our souls as per our fate is destined .
If we are among the blessed, the Malaikat Rahmat @ Angel of Mercy will call out to us. If we are among those who are accursed, then the Malaikat Azab @ Angel of Torture will call out our name!
The Malaikatul Maut then brings forth the soul to be presented to Allah, Lord Almighty , Master of all the Worlds.
If the soul is among those who are blessed, Allah SWT then commands ' Return the soul to it's home and let it witness its home after it's departure.'
The Angel then escorts the soul to its home and it sees for itself who is saddened by it's no longer being there and who isn't. The soul is not given the power of speech. So, it just watches silently.
The soul will then be brought back to it's remains in the grave to be interrogated by the Malaikats Mungkar and Naqir. The Interview of the Grave .
To be continued. Insya Allah!
Bazaar Ramadhan scenes at Pandan Indah & Bandar Tun Razak, KL.
Every year without fail, we will come across these familiar scenes of seasonal traders ply their foodstuffs to the fasting Muslims all over this nation.
The above footage is from the Bazaar Ramadhan at Pandan Indah and also at Jalan Jujur, Bandar Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur.
Chaotic scenes of people buying and selling all kinds of traditional foods and delicacies to the teeming masses.
Non Muslims also take advantage of the offering of all the lip smacking curries, cakes and delicacies being sold and mingle together with the fasting Muslims in buying whatever that they fancy?

The Value of Knowledge, Instruction and Learning Together by Nabih Amin Faris

SECTION I
On the Value of Knowledge, Instruction, and Learning together with its evidence in tradition and from reason.
The excellence of knowledge The evidence for the excellence of knowledge in the Qur’an [is manifest] in the words of Allah: “Allah bears witness that there is no Allah but He, and the angels, and men endued with knowledge, established in righteousness.”(3:16)
See, then, how Allah has mentioned Himself first, the angels second, and men endowed with knowledge third.
In this you really have honour, excellence, distinction and rank.
And again Allah said: “Allah will raise in rank those of you who believe as well as those who are given knowledge.” (58:12)
According to ibn-`Abbas[14] the learned men rank seven hundred grades above the believers; between each two of which is a distance five hundred years long.
Said Allah. “Say,`shall those who know be deemed equal with those who do not?” (39:12)
Allah also said, “None fear Allah but the wise among His servants;” (35:25) and again, “Say, `Allah is witness enough between me and you, and whoever hath the knowledge of The Book!’ ”(13:43 )
This I mention to you in order to show that it was possible only through the power of knowledge.
Allah also said, “But they to whom knowledge hath been given said, `Woe to you! The reward of Allah is better [for him who believes and does right],” (28:80) showing thereby that the great importance of the hereafter is appreciated through knowledge.
And again Allah said, “These parables do we set forth for men: and none understands them save those who know.” (29:42)
Allah also said, “But if they were to refer it to the Apostle and to those in authority amongst them, those of them who would elicit the information would know it” (4:85)
He thus made the knowledge of His will dependent upon their efforts to find it out, and placed them next to the prophets in the [ability] to make it known.
It has been said that in the following words of Allah, “O Sons of Adam! We have sent down to you raiments wherewith to cover your nakedness, and splendid garments; but the raiment of piety-this is best,” (7:25) the raiments represent knowledge, the splendid garments, truth, and the raiment of piety, modesty.
Allah also said, “And We have brought them a book: with knowledge have We explained it;” (7:50) and again, “But it is clear sign in the hearts of those whom the knowledge hath reached;” (29:48) and, “With knowledge will We tell them;” (7:6) and again, “[He] hath created man, [and] hath taught him articulate speech.” (55:2-3) This, however, He said reproachfully.
As to [the evidence of the value of knowledge in] tradition (al-akhbar) the Apostle of Allah said, “Whom Allah doth love, He giveth knowledge of religion and guideth him into the straight path;”[15] and again, “The learned men are the heirs of the prophets.”[16]
It is also well-known that there is no rank above that of prophethood, no honour higher than its inheritance.
The Prophet also said, “What is in the heavens and in the earth intercedes for the learned men.”[17] And what rank is higher than that of him for whom the angels of the heavens and earth labour interceding with Allah on his behalf, while he is preoccupied with himself.
Muhammad also said, “Wisdom adds honour to the noble and exalts the slave until he attains the level of kings.”
The Prophet pointed this out relating to the benefits of wisdom in this world, since it is well-known that [5] the hereafter is superior and more lasting.
Muhammad said again, “Two qualities the hypocrite lacks - good intentions and religious insight.”[18]
Do not doubt tradition, then, because of the hypocrisy of some contemporary jurisprudents; theirs is not the jurisprudence which the Prophet had in mind. (The definition of jurisprudence will come later).
For a jurisprudent to know that the hereafter is better than this world is, after all, the lowest type of knowledge he can possess. Should it prove to be true and prevail, it would clear him of hypocrisy and deceit.
The Prophet said, “The best of men is the learned believer who, if he is needed, he will be useful; and if dispensed with, he will be self-sufficient. "
And again he said, “Belief is like unto a nude who should be clothed with piety, ornamented with modesty and should have knowledge for progeny.”
And again, “The nearest people to prophethood are the people of knowledge and the warriors of jihad”: the former have led men to what the prophets have proclaimed, and the latter have wielded their swords on its behalf.
He also said, “The passing away of a whole tribe is more tolerable than the death of one learned man.”
And again, “Men are like ores of gold and silver, the choicest among them during the Jahiliyah days are also the best during the days of Islam, provided they see the light.”[19]
He also said, “On the day of resurrection the ink of the learned men will be likened to the blood of the martyrs.” And again, “Whoever preserves of the law forty Traditions in order to transmit them unto my people, I shall, on the day of resurrection, be an intercessor and a witness on his behalf.”
Muhammad also said, “Any one of my people who will preserve forty hadiths will on the day of resurrection face Allah as a learned jurisprudent.”
And again, “Whoever will become versed in the religion of Allah, Allah will relieve him of his worries and will reward him whence he does not reckon”
The Prophet also said, “Allah said unto Abraham, `O Abraham! Verily I am knowing and I love every knowing person’.” And again, “The learned man is the trustee of Allah on earth.”
The Prophet said, “There are two groups among my people who when they become righteous the populace becomes righteous, and when they become corrupt the populace becomes corrupt: these are the rulers and the jurisprudents.”
Again he said, “Should the day come wherein I increase not in knowledge wherewith to draw nearer to Allah, let the dawn of that day be accursed.”
Concerning the superiority of knowledge to worship and martyrdom, the Prophet said, “The superior rank the learned man holds in relation to the worshipper is like the superior rank I hold in relation to the best of men.”[20]
See how he placed knowledge on an equal footing with prophethood and belittled the value of practice without knowledge, despite the fact that the worshipper may not be ignorant of the worship which he observes?
Moreover, without this knowledge there would have been no worship.
The Prophet also said, “The superior rank the learned man holds over the worshipper is similar to the superiority of the moon when it is [6] full over the other stars.”[21]
And again, “They will, on the day of resurrection, intercede [before Allah]: the prophets, then the learned, then the martyrs.”[22]
Great then is the state of knowledge which ranks next to prophethood and stands over martyrdom, the merits of the latter notwithstanding.
The Prophet also said, “Allah was not worshipped with anyone better than the learned in religion. Verily a single jurisprudent is more formidable to Satan than a thousand worshippers.”[23]
For everything has [its] foundation. and the foundations of this religion is jurisprudence. And again, “The best part of your faith is [also] the easiest, and the best form of worship is jurisprudence.”
The Prophet also said, “The learned believer holds a rank seventy degrees higher than that of the ordinary believer.”
And again. “Verily you have come upon a time whose jurisprudents are many and Qur’an readers as well as preachers are few, whose beggars are rare and givers numerous, wherein deeds are better than knowledge. But there will come a time when jurisprudents are few and preachers many, whose givers are few and beggars numerous, wherein knowledge is better than works.”[24]
The Prophet also said, “Between the learned and the worshipper are a hundred degrees, each two of which are separated by the extent of a racing horse’s run in seventy years.”[25]
The Prophet was also asked, “O Apostle of Allah! What works arc best?” To which he replied. “Your knowledge of Allah.” He was then asked. “Which knowledge do you mean?” He answered, “Your Knowledge of Allah.” Again he was asked, “We enquire about works and you reply concerning knowledge.”
Muhammad then said, “With your knowledge of Allah, a few works will suffice, but without such knowledge, no works, however numerous, avail.”
The Prophet also said, “On the day of resurrection Allah will [first] raise the worshippers and then the learned to whom He will say, ‘O ye company of the learned, I did not imbue you with My knowledge but for My knowledge of you. Moreover, I did not imbue you with My Knowledge in order to torment you. Go ye, therefore, for verily I have forgiven you’.”[26]
As to [the evidence of the value of knowledge in] the sayings of the Companions (al-athar), `Ali ibn-abi-Talib[27] said to Kumayl,[28] “O thou perfect of knowledge ! Knowledge is better than riches; for knowledge guardeth thee whereas thou guardest riches. Knowledge governs while riches are governed. Riches diminish with spending but knowledge increases therewith.”
And again, “The learned is superior to the fasting, praying and self-mortifying man. Should the learned die, a gap would be created in Islam [by his death] and no one would fill this gap save one of his successors.”
`Ali said:
“Learning is the glory of mankind,
The wise are beacons on the road to truth;
Man is worth his knowledge, nothing more –
The fool will be his inveterate foe,
Knowledge is man’s hope of life immortal,
Man may die but wisdom liveth ever.”
Abu-al-Aswad[29] said, “Nothing is more precious than knowledge; while kings rule over men, they are ruled by the learned.”
Ibn-`Abbas said, “Solomon the son of David was asked to choose between knowledge, wealth or power, but he chose knowledge and was thereby blessed with wealth and power as well.”[30]
Ibn-al--Mubarak[31] was asked, “Who constitute humanity?” To which he replied, “The learned”. It was then said, “And who are the kings?” He answered, “The ascetics”. And who,” he was asked, “constitute the lowest class among men?” “Those,” said he, “who, in the name of religion, grow fat in the world.”
Thus only the learned did [ibn-al--Mubarak] regard as belonging to mankind, because it is knowledge which distinguishes man from the other animals. Furthermore, man is a human being, not because of his physical prowess for physically the camel is his superior; not because of his size for the elephant is larger; not because of his courage for the lion is more courageous; not because of his appetite for the ox has the greater; not because of coitus for the least of the birds is more virile than he, but rather by virtue of his noble aims and ideals. [As a matter of fact] he was only created to know.[7]
One of the wise men said, “Would that I might know what thing was attained by him whom knowledge has escaped, and what thing has escaped him who has attained knowledge.”
The Prophet said, “Whoever has been given the Qur’an and thinks that anyone has been given something better, he has degraded what Allah has exalted.”
Fath al-Mawsili[32] said inquiring, “Would not the sick die, if he is given no food or drink or medicine?” They said, “Yes”. To which he said, “Similarly the heart will perish if it is cut off from wisdom and knowledge for three days.”
He did indeed speak the truth, for the nourishment of the heart, on which its life depends, is knowledge and wisdom, just as the nourishment of the body is food.
Whoever lacks knowledge has an ailing heart and his death is certain; yet he is not aware of his doom because the love of this world and his concern therewith have dulled his sense, just as a shock from fright may momentarily do away with the pain of a wound although the wound be real.
Thus when death frees him from the burdens of this world he will realize his doom and’ will, though to no avail, greatly regret it.
This is like the feeling of a person who has attained safety after having been through danger, and like that of a man who has just recovered from his drunkenness.
We seek refuge in Allah from the day when all things will be brought to light. Men are asleep but at death they Will awake. Al-Hasan[33] said, “The ink of the learned Will be likened to the blood of the martyrs, and the former will prove superior.”[34]
Ibn-Mas`ud[35] said, “Seek ye knowledge while it be found; it will be veiled when its narrators pass away. Verily, by Him in whose hand is my life, several men who died martyrs in the cause of Allah would rather that, at resurrection, Allah would raise them up as learned men for what they see of the veneration accorded the learned.”
No one is born learned, but knowledge is only the result of learning.
Ibn-’Abbas said, “I would rather spend a part of the night in learned discussion than in continual prayer.” The same was related of Abu-Hurayrah[36] and Ahmad ibn-Hanbal.[37]
AI-Hasan said that in the words of Allah, “Give us good in this world and good in the next,” (2:197) the good in this world meant knowledge and worship while that of the next signified paradise.
A wise man was once asked, “What things shall we possess?” He replied, “Those things which you will not lose in the event of shipwreck,” meaning thereby knowledge, while by shipwreck, it is said, he meant the decomposition of the body through death.
A certain wise man said, “Whoever takes wisdom for his bridle will be acclaimed by men as their leader, and whoever is known for his wisdom will be looked upon with respect.”
Al-Shaf’i[38] said “One of the noble things about knowledge is that he who is given a portion of it, no matter how small, rejoices while he who is deprived of it grieves.”
‘ Umar[39] said, “O men! Seek ye knowledge. For verily Allah has a mantle of love which He casts upon him who seeks knowledge even of a single section. Should he then commit an offence, Allah will remonstrate with him thrice in order not to rob him of his mantle, even though that offence may persist with him until he dies.”
Al-Ahnaf[40] said, “The learned men came very near being Allahs; and all power which is not supported by knowledge is doomed".
Salim ibn-Abi-al-Ja’d[41] said, “ My master bought me for three hundred dirhams and later set me free. Thereupon I said, ‘What shall I take up for livelihood? Finally I took up learning and no sooner had a year passed than the prince of Makkah called upon me but I would not receive him.”
Al-Zubayr ibn-abi-Bakr[42] said, “My father had written me while in al-’Iraq saying. ‘Go after knowledge; should you become poor it will be your wealth, and should you become rich it will be your embellishment’.”
This has been related among the exhortations of Luqman[43] to his son). He also said, “Sit in the company of the learned and keep close to them; for verily Allah quickens the hearts with the light of wisdom as he refreshes the earth with the rain of heaven.”[44]
A certain wise man said, “When the learned dies the fish of the sea as well as the fowl of the air will mourn him; while his face shall disappear his memory will not be forgotten.”
AI-Zuhri[45] said, “Knowledge is glorious and is not treasured except by the glorious.”

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
Dear brothers and sisters,
Such is the respect and value given to knowledge and those who seek it. The more one gains righteous, beneficial knowledge and understands it, the more valued is he or she before Allah the Almighty.
The learned one who teaches it in turn to those who are still in the dark is the one who is promised safety from the Hellfire and guaranteed his or her abode in Paradise.
Today, we see the learned amongst us grow stingy with their 'Ilm. They prefer to sit on their behind in the comfort of their high offices and allow the ignorant masses wallow in their sins of following their lusts and wanton egos.
It is the gist of my dissatisfaction with those in our nation who call themselves as 'alims and 'ulamaks yet do not so much as to come teach the Ummah who are today drowning in the sea of maksiat and religious misunderstandings.
Those in authority have a moral responsibility to guide the masses. They are in position to see to it that the society is prevented from falling into ruin yet the hundreds and thousands of all these 'alims turn zalim.
They ignore the perils of such ignorance seeping into our society and many fall prey to the wolves disguised as sheep in these tumultuos times.
If a nation is to be better, then its leaders need to do what they have been entrusted to do?
Shirking their responsibility and turning around on their fat cushioned seats of office, many of such learned ones would say that it is the people who need to go and seek such knowledge on their own?
Self improvement is the key.
Yes, such are the excuses of those who neglect to live up to the very oaths of taking office that they swore upon the Holy Qur'an and before Almighty Allah!
Today, Muslims have been left to just being those who are constricted to be in a state of taqlid insted of being creative in seeking further explorations and discoveries in ijtihad.
Read here to learn a bit about the lethargic state that most Muslims around the world are mired in?
The reason for such a miserable state is that the 'alims have grown to so love this world and have developed a state of 'Wahn @ love of this life and hatred of death.
Most of our scholars are reduced to just taking care of themselves and not giving a hoot about the Ummah.
Until these 'alims and ulamaks start getting down from their high offices and robustly enter into the mainstream of our society and address the many ills affecting the hearts and souls of the ignorant many in the Ummah, this state of ignorance will spread awide and destroy the remnants of what Muslims came to attain in the Islamic Golden Age, now reduced to being entered in the encyclopedias of the world, remembering an age gone by?
To those of you who love seeking knowledge, know that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will reward you with the best of this life and in the next IF after attaining such knowledge you teach others so that after you are dead and buried, the seeds of 'ilm that you sowed in your students will germinate and spring forth from them, continuing the passing of the knowledge from one generation of mankind to the next!
Insya Allah.

Perintah Allah SWT untuk kita mengerjakan Solat
.jpg)

(Riwayat Muslim)
“Memanglah, apabila solat pasti syaitan datang menggoda kita, tetapi kita jangan layan.

Insya Allah.
Wabillahi Taufik Wal Hidayah.

Fanning the flames of racism in Malaysia - The Dangers.
I am worried for our nation. Very worried.
So worried that my heart feels so constricted and my emotions are starting to swell up, fearing the worse that can come out from the current racial tones being spewed by politicians who don't bother to consider what their words and statements tend to spark off another disastrous wave of racial and religious conflict amongst the multi-ethnic, multi-faithed communities that Malaysia consists of?
From day one, I have had this premonition of racism flaring uncontrolled through the hearts and minds of desperadoes in the prevailing ruling BN coalition parties who seem oblivious to the dangers of speaking emotionally and irrationally without considering the consequences that their racist statements will have on the future of this country?
For all the so called peace and harmony that the BN has been claiming to champion all these while, the actions, reactions and statements being spewed forth by UMNO Penang's leaders threatens to destroy the fragile state of calmness and tolerance that the majority of the Malaysian people are trying very hard to maintain and upkeep?
I am dismayed to see the PM Dato Seri Abdullah Badawi failing to stem and nip in the bud all these racist threatening gestures and blatant attempts to sow discord between the Malays and the Chinese populations of Malaysia by the UMNO chiefs of Penang?
The current racism fuelled tense political atmosphere over there in Penang is not something to be disregarded and ignored by the ones in power over Malaysia today?
If the Malaysian Government under the BN today fails to keep in check or take corrective action decisively and swiftly to curb or dissipate the building tensions between the Malay and Chinese communities there in Penang, chances of the current political face off fed by inflammatory insensitive remarks and pontificating stands of the UMNO Penang warlords and equally recalcitrant ones from the Chinese leaders can only lead to a disastrous ending between us soon?
I call upon the Malaysian authorities to not waste anymore time in stepping in and reprimand the folks in Penang from getting out of hand for we do not need to have a fullblown racial conflict break out amongst fellow Malaysians at this or any other time in the future?
The current racial conflict being propagated by those who fail to consider what their actions can lead to stems from their failure to heed the Almighty's Commands to be fair towards their fellow mankind.
Those who are aware of the do's and don'ts of the Islamic faith will not behave in such racist ways.
The Prophet of Allah, Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam forbade us to differentiate and discriminate between Mankind.
As Muslims we ought to realize that whatever we do or say has its rewards or punishments both here on Earth and in the Hereafter?
Islam is very clear about the equality of Mankind and it opposes racial prejudice and racism in any form is forbidden in our faith.
The way our Muslim UMNO brothers are behaving over there in Penang goes against the very fundamentals of these principles.
Have our fellow Muslims there forgotten the contents of Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam's Khutba al Wida @ Final Khutba where he stated :
O ye people, without doubt, God is one, just the same as you can have only one father. All of you are children of Adam, and he was fashioned from the earth's clay.
Beware, no Arab is superior to an alien, nor is an alien superior to the Arab.
No red is superior to the black, nor is a black superior to the red.
For human excellence is in the effort we make in our trying to follow the ordained word of Allah, and the actions of his prophet, in word and deeds.
Allah's honored are those blessed amongst you who fear Him most. Hearken! Have I conveyed? The companions said, 'Yes, you have conveyed, peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.'
The prophet, peace and blessings of the Lord be upon him, then said, O ye present, convey my words to the absent witness. {Reported in Targheeb o Tarheeb un Jabar bin Abdallah, Jamhrata Khatab ul Arab.}
So my dear fellow Muslims of Malaysia, especially those of you who are Malays, let me ask you as to whether you do believe that Islam our faith calls upon us to be racists or to be fair to all?
I for one do believe that the rights of the Malays are enshrined in the Constitution of Malaysia and that none from amongst the Non Malays have any rights to encroach upon such rights since the Chinese and Indian migrant populations have long acknowledged such rights and their leaders have signed such acknowledgment into the founding documents of post British Malaya!
Today, we all accept that those of us living today here in Malaysia are mostly born here in this land and no longer merit being called immigrants.
It is therefore ridiculous for our UMNO politicians to still harp on chasing born Malaysian citizens of the Chinese and other ethnicities to foreign lands all because of the way some folks in the BN have deteriorated to being sore losers in the recent P44 Permatang Pauh Parliamentary By Election and the recent 12th Malaysian GE which saw the BN lose 4 other states to the already remaining steadfastly PAS ruled State of Kelantan?
I just wish to remind such UMNO politicians to not go against the Amanat of Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam as reproduced by the relevant excerpt above?
Do we as Muslims disrespect the Blessed Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassalam by being defiant and recalcitrantly be championing such notions of Assabiyah?
Does anyone of the racist politicians refute the reality that when we as Muslims die, it is in our faith that we will be visited by the two Malaikats @ Munkar and Nakir?
Do any of the racist ones threatening to unleash another 13th of May, 1969 bloodbath dare to refute that the Malaikats of the Grave will be asking the following questions to our souls when we are in our graves?
1. Who is your Lord?
He replies ''My Lord is Allah".
2. Then he is asked: "And what is your religion?"
He replies: "My religion is Islam."
3. He is asked again: "Who was that person who was sent to you?
" He answers: "He is the Prophet of Allah, Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam."
4. Lastly, he is asked: "And what did you do?"
He answers: "I read the Book of Allah, and I believed in it."
After that Allah says (interpretation of meaning): {My Servant has spoken the truth, so spread a bed for him in Paradise, clothe him from Paradise and open a door towards him from Paradise.}.
In relation to a disbelieving slave, the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, said: "When the disbelieving slave comes close to the end of the present life and nearer to the Hereafter (i.e. at a state of last breath), two angels will come to examine him.
They will ask him "Who is your Lord"?
He will reply: "Alas, alas, I do not know."
Then they will ask him: "Who is your Prophet"?
He will reply: "Alas, alas, I do not know."
Then he is asked: "And what is your religion"?
So, he will reply: "Alas, alas, I do not know."
Then Allah says (interpretation of meaning): {He has lied, so spread a bed for him from Hell, clothe him from Hell, and open towards him a door into Hell…}.
So the Muslim is asked four questions:
- Who is your Lord?
- What is your religion?
- Who was that person who was sent to you?
- And fourthly: What did you do?
- Who is your Lord?
- What is your religion?
- Who was that person who was sent to you?
This is what is meant by the saying of Allah (interpretation of meaning):
{Allah keeps firm those who believe, with the firm word, in worldly life and in the Hereafter. And Allah lets astray the wrongdoers. And Allah does what He wills.}[14:27].
The Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, said: "When a Muslim is questioned in the grave, he will testify that "Laa ilaaha Illallaah Muhammadun Rasoolullaah'' (there is None worthy of worship but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah), this is the saying of Allah (interpretation of meaning):
{Allah keeps firm those who believe, with the firm word, in worldly life and in the Hereafter.}. We ask Allah to keep us firm with the firm word in this worldly life and in the Hereafter. Ameen.
Now, I would like to ask my fellow Muslims who are rabidly championing Assabiyah to this very day, especially back home in Penang as to whether the Malaikats of the Grave will ever ask us:
- What is your race?
- Are you a bumiputera or non bumi?
They will surely like hell not bother as to what ethnicity we are, will they?
All that the Malaikats of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will bother about are those questions stated above and they won't give a hoot as to who the hell we are over here on Earth?
They won't care that all your life, you lived in a bloody istana, palace, mansion, etc. or that you had all the honorifics emblazoned right before the very names that your parents named you with?
They wouldn't even care that all your life you had people bow to you, had addressed you as Tuanku, Tengku, Engku, Raja, Megat, Nik, Tun, Tan Sri, Datuk Paduka, Datuk Panglima, Dato' and all other earth bound honorifics that people so crave to have before their very names here?
Yes sirree...
All that the Malaikats will care about is to whether we have been Believers in Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and obeyed the Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam, lived our life's as true servants of Almighty Allah, been good to ourselves, our families, our neighbours, our fellow mankind, etcetera?
I believe that if we Malaysian Muslims can strive our best to live up to our faith and practice what we preach, the non Malays and non Muslims of Malaysia will see the truth of Islam, it's justice and fairness towards all of Allah's makhluk and not bother those of you who are so worried about losing your 'rights'?
We all live between the 5 prayers and at the Will and Mercy of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
We may have been blessed to be able to pray our Subuh prayers. There is no guarantee that we can make it to Zohor?
Same goes for those of us who make it to settle our Zohor prayers.
Is there any certainty that we might make it to Asar?
Again, those who get to pray Asar, what guarantee is there that they will be able to pray Maghrib and from Maghrib to Isya and all the way to the next Subuh?
Learn to live as true Muslims, dear brothers and sisters and please...please realize that all these rants and raves about this race being better than that race is all pure hogwash that belongs to the Age of Jahilliyyah!!!
We are now living in the Last Ages.
All the prophecies of Rasulullah Sallalahu alaihi Wassallam concerning the Signs of the coming of the Yaum al Qiyamat have all come to pass and we are amongst those who need to get ourselves focused towards upholding the true teachings of Islam as bequethed to us by our Blessed Prophet?
Can we afford to destroy the peace and harmony of this multi ethnic, multi faithed country just because of some misguided souls who have lost their bearings and remain stuck in the rut of the ignorants?
Think!
May those who are angry remember the nasihah of the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam and reflect back as to where they are and where they should be?
The Ulamaks of this nation and the Malay Sultans must not remain as mere observers and watch this country go to hell!
Remember that the Amanah of Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam rests upon your shoulders too!
You will be the first ones to be questioned by Allah Azza Wa Jalla as to what you did and did not do with regard to the responsibilities given by Him to you in the Akhirat?
May those of you who are the 'Ulul 'Amri protect us and guide the ones getting out of hand to be back on the track of Ad Deenul Islam and serve the people in the manner that this nation expects of them?
Ameen Ya Rabbal Alameen.
Wabillahi Taufik Wal Hidayah.
Wassalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
Abdillah,
