Merantau ~ The Silat Film from Minangkabau, Indonesia
Looks like Silat is finally going to rock the world!
This soon to be released Silat oriented movie is jam packed with pure Silat action and will trigger a new awareness about the ancient Malay martial arts which highlights the Nusantara fighting skills that Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Siam, Philippines is famous for?
Iko Uwais will soon be a name to remember just like the Siamese fighter Tony Jaa of Ong Bak fame.
Congratulations to P.T. Merantau Films (2009).
Visit http://www.merantau-movie.com to learn more about this sure to be a blockbuster Silat Harimau featured movie!
Manohara sure suffered living with her prince, huh?
Watching this video, one can surely understand how hard life must have been for Indonesian teenage model Manohara Odelia Pinot living with the Kelantan prince Tengku Temenggong Tengku Fakhry?
So hard that if he advertised looking for a replacement bride throughout the world, there sure must be hundreds of thousands if not millions of other applicants making a beeline to suffer the same in this materialistic world?
My sympathies for poor Mano.
Bad prince...very bad, huh?
Micheal Jackson is dead. Al Fatihah!
Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji`un. From Allah we come ; to Allah we shall return.
Just saw this news on New York Times.
The King of Pop Music Mikaeel @ Michael Jackson has returned to the Almighty's presence.
Al Fatihah.
He performed in Kuala Lumpur in 1996 during his worldwide tour. Here are a couple of videos showing MJ doing his thing and how Malaysians went wild over the gloved one.
For the latest updates on worldwide responses and his billions of fans reactions on hearing about his death, click here.
A cause for concern. Michael Jackson is reported to have embraced Islam recently. His brother Jermaine Jackson is a Muslim for many years now.
Wonder how his janazah is going to be handled? Is it going to be interred in the Muslim or Christian section of the cemetery?
Let's see what transpires?
A few minutes earlier, film star Farah Fawcett died of cancer as reported here. She was a major star back in the 70's to 80's.
That's how it goes. One day so will we. Return to Him, the Most Supreme, Most High.
Insya Allah.

Disabled Palestinian Mahmoud Mujahed builds his own electric car!
Its good to see this. A disabled Palestinian, 64 years old Mahmoud Mujahed who got tired of waiting for taxis built himself an electric car using a computer aided system powered by a 12 volt battery.
Mr.Mahmoud's electric car can reach speeds up to 80 km per hour.
There are many good brilliant Palestinians like Brother Mahmoud who are suffering unnecessarily due to the world being silent about the Israeli Zionist regime's atrocities on the owners of the stolen and now occupied Palestinian lands.
When will the Muslim nations regrow their spine and help the Palestinians reclaim their lands?
When they find their cajones, eh?
Till then, go on and read what Windows into Palestine has to share here?

Muslim Unity in Malaysia? Cross their dead bodies first!
So ends the question as to whether the Muslims of this country can be united at least politically?
The final decision by the coalition of PAS-PKR and the DAP mustered about the 'unity government' poser with the UMNO led BN and hammered in the last nail into the 'Unity Government' coffin yesterday and ended the unprecedented squabble amongst PAS top most leadership.
PAS Deputy President Dato Nasharudin Mat Isa had earlier clarified that PAS has not shied away from having dialogues with any party with regard to the good of the nation :
Nik Aziz who had asked PAS Deputy President Nasharudin Mat Isa to resign from his position and quit being the Bachok MP if he still insists in holding unity talks with UMNO, yesterday announced his retraction of such demands and issued a statement saying that no more of such intended talks will be mentioned and the issue is now settled.
Such a decision comes not purely from Nik Aziz's own conclusions for behind his stand is the insurmountable pressure from PAS's coalition partners namely the DAP and PKR.
Both parties will lose their present political gains if ever PAS decides to merge with UMNO, which will seriously undermine the pact and cause DAP and PKR to crumble from their present political achievements since the last GE.
The intention of PAS President Dato Seri Abdul Hadi Awang to see a united Muslim ummah here in Malaysia will have to wait for a while pending the return of those who oppose such a unity politically back to the Almighty's presence.
Nik Aziz is not alone in his objection to the union between PAS and UMNO. Former Prime Minister and 4th UMNO President Tun Dr.Mahathir bin Mohamad equally detests the idea of such a union between UMNO and PAS.
He openly objects to such an idea for it will bring about the Islamisation of UMNO which will clearly be a big no no to his ideals of what UMNO should be?
Thus Nik Aziz can breathe easy now that he has managed to decapitate the proposal for such a union between the nation's so called Malay political party and his so called purely Islamic party.
Anwar Ibrahim, Lim Kit Siang and Karpal Singh can return to sleeping soundly now that the unity government 'Sword of Damocles' which was hanging over their heads has been removed and the political status quo here in Malaysia back to what it was and in a way has always been!
The wish of all those who wanted to see the Muslims of this land be united under one entity is now over and all those infallible ones with a halo over their heads can now settle down to their routine of hurling curses and abuses at their favorite political enemies.
Karpal Singh, Kit Siang, Anwar Ibrahim, Nik Aziz, Mahathir Mohamad and all those who hate the very idea of Malaysian Muslims forgiving each other in the spirit of Ukhuwwah Islamiyyah and establish a unity government of Muslims can now jointly issue a challenge to cross their dead bodies to whomsoever wants to unite the Muslims here in Malaysia?
All the above detest the very idea.
Didn't think that I would live to see such a united stand between all of the above in a joint understanding that no Muslim Government true to its name would ever be given a chance to be forged here in this so called 'Islamic nation'?
It is as I have always suspected.
A nation almost full of two faced shysters pretending to be the leaders of the Muslim Ummah here in Malaysia but who actually hate living up to the true tenets of the faith which calls for the establishment of a Darus Salam where all Muslims will be united under one Amirul Mukminin?
I for one do not care about these recalcitrants who think that they will live forever and get to mess up the lives of the Muslims as they damn well please.
Verily Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is observing all that they do and what they are planning?
I believe that there will come a time in the future as prophesied by Rasul Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam when the Muslims will be united as one and the banner of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will be lofted up high and the Kuffars will be put in their place.
The enemies of Islam here in Malaysia may have succeeded in delaying the establishment of the unity government between Muslims which would be the starting stage of returning the Khilafah here in Malaysia but this is just a temporal postponement of the inevitable.
I can sense that the majority of the Muslim ummah here in Malaysia as a whole, deep down in their hearts have an ardent wish to see Islam prevail here in this Mamluk al Malaisie.
I reiterate, the majority of Malaysian Muslims. Not all.
Many of the nation's so called Muslim leaders love to project a false front to the public when they are before the mass media by calling for frugality, living modestly, etcetera but in private they live a life of opulence and frankly speaking not in any way resemble that of how Muslim leaders should be?
Antares has described such a dynasty as a 'Dodo Dynasty' in his blog's article here.
Go on, have a read.
Discover for yourselves how the leaders of the Muslims here in Malaysia party all the time?
Eddie Murphy would surely be proud, huh?
Anyway, worry not my fellow Muslims!
Insya Allah we will see Allah's promise come into being here in the near future.
Watch the videos below and realize that it is only a matter of time before what Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala promised us will come into being?

Attributes of Allah - Facts that every humanbeing needs to know. Introduction.

Bismillahhirrahmannirrahim.
In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
May peace be upon you with the Mercy and Blessings of Allah!
Dear brothers and sisters,
My topic for today's article is learning about the Attributes of Allah, Rabbul Alamin.
In Malay, we call this knowledge as 'Sifat 20' @ '20 Attributes' of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala that the Blessed Messenger Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam has shared with us.
In the world of Islam, seeking of knowledge is very much encouraged and there are plenty of revelations in the Blessed Holy Qur'an that enjoins us to seek such knowledge in order to add value and guide us in this earthly life to prepare us for the hereafter.
Introduction.
Knowledge in Islamic teachings in general can be divided into 3 major categories, namely :
- Usuluddin (Aqeedah @ Bedrock of Faith)
- Fiqh ( Shari`ah )
- Tasawwuf ( Spiritual Knowledge & Practices)
Every Muslim worth his or her name and faith must learn and understand the basics of Usuluddin, Fiqh and Tasawwuf in order to equip his or her self to live life as a true Servant of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Without knowing or understanding any of the above mentioned fields of knowledge in Islam rends the believer incomplete or ill equipped to live as a Muslim or Muslimah in the truest sense of the word.
Whether one likes it or not, one will grow up from being a helpless baby into being a child, then become a teenager and from that stage of one's life to becoming an adult.
The young adult will eventually grow or age into being a mature person and finally reach the pinnacle of one's existence as an old man or woman ready to die and his or her soul return to Almighty Allah Azza Wa Jalla!
This is the reality of our existence here in the 3rd stage of our life. The earthly life. Yaum Al Duniyya.
It's important for each and every one of us who are Muslims to strive our level best to learn about the 3 branches of `Ilm @ Knowledge.
We can't afford to ignore any one of these 3 branches of Islamic Knowledge for that will render ourselves ignorant of the realities and needs to understand what we need to know of such basics of living life as per what Almighty Allah commands us to live our life according to His Decrees.
Usuluddin falls under Fardhu `Ain @ Compulsory Practices and is a must for any Muslim to learn about and be put to practice.
It is considered to be a major sin for any Muslim who chooses to ignore it. One can also be in danger of falling into Kufr @ Disbelief if one willfully chooses not to learn about it or denies it.
Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam is reported to have said : ' The earliest stage of faith is learning about Allah!'.
Anyone who tries to live life disregarding any of these aspects of the required understandings will only be living life incomplete and his or her deeds will be lacking the necessary qualities or merits.
One can even be in danger of turning into a Fasiq for denying any of the 3 branches of Islamic Knowledge. So, it's important for those who are Muslims to study and learn about all these important aspects of our Faith.
In Verse 29 Surah Al Kahf, Chapter 18 of the Holy Al Qur`anul Karim, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala reveals :

29. Waquli alhaqqu min rabbikum faman shaa falyu/min waman shaa falyakfur inna aAAtadna lilththalimeena naran ahata bihim suradiquha wa-in yastagheethoo yughathoo bima-in kaalmuhli
yashwee alwujooha bi/sa alshsharabu wasaat murtafaqan
29. Say, "The truth is from your Lord": Let him who will believe, and let him who will, reject (it): for the wrong-doers We have prepared a Fire whose (smoke and flames), like the walls and roof of a tent, will hem them in: if they implore relief they will be granted water like melted brass, that will scald their faces, how dreadful the drink! How uncomfortable a couch to recline on!
Brothers and sisters,
From what I have come to learn and realize about the importance for any Muslim or Muslimah to understand the basics of Islamic knowledge, Usuluddin is the bedrock of faith and from it, stands the other two aspects of religious knowledge of Shari`ah and then Tasawwuf.
You can liken Usuluddin to be the foundation of faith. Just like erecting a building, the builder has to make sure that the bedrock of foundation upon which he drives in the piles for the structural layout needs to be on solid grounds to prevent a collapse of the infrastructure.
Same concept here. A Muslim needs to build up his or her faith upon solid beliefs and firm understandings of what he or she believes in?
There are just so many today amongst the Ummah who if questioned about the basics of his or her faith will stammer, fumble and mumble about what it is that they believe in?
They will be clueless as to what are the attributes of Almighty Allah that they swear they believe in?
The failure stems from their ignoring the importance of learning about Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, God Most Almighty, Most High whom they swear upon their life.
This is the reason why I am attempting to share what I myself have come to learn and am still learning to equip my own self better as to live the rest of my remaining life with a bit more understanding of my faith, Al Islam, Deenul Haqq.
Usuluddin is likened to be the bedrock of Islam. Shari`ah and Tasawwuf are the walls and fixtures of the infrastructure of our faith.
To strive and learn about all these important aspects of Islamic religious knowledge is fard' upon every Muslim capable of thought and understanding.
Do not worry about your not being a scholar of Islam or whatsoever for Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala knows best as to what we are capable of according to our own capabilities.
This is not an exercise to decorate oneself with worldly certificates or whatever but more of a personal quest to master or at least understand what it is that is expected of us to know about our faith?
Insya Allah, you will be able to appreciate Islam more when you start to understand at least the basics of why Islam allows this and forbids that?
It is all for our own good. To be able to live life with a bit more knowledge and understanding than just to blindly get up in the morning, live life without a purpose or know what the hell is going on, etcetera?
Let's get back to our study.
Usuluddin my dear brothers and sisters is the foundation of our faith. One's practices of Syari`ah and Tasawwuf would have no merit on their own if one does not have a solid bedrock of faith that is Usuluddin.
Matters concerning Usuluddin are :
1. Our trust and faith in Allah and His Attributes whether they concern His Attributes that are a must or those which are impossible or those that are considered as 'should be'.
2. Our trust and faith in the Prophets of Allah and their characteristics.
3. Our trust and faith in the Revelations of Allah such as the Kitabs of Zabur, Taurat, Injil and the Holy Al Quran Al Kareem which abrogates and replaces all those earlier revelations to becoming the Last and Complete Final Testament of Almighty Allah for all mankind.
4. Our trust and faith in the Malaikats @ Angels of Allah.
5. Our trust and faith upon the `Qada and `Qadar of Allah. `Qada and `Qadar is the destiny or fate decided by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala upon His entire creation.
6. Our trust and faith upon the existence of Paradise and Hell and other matters concerning the Spiritual Realm created by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
In the process of learning about `Usuluddin, one must make sure that one's heart is free from syak, zan and waham @ suspicions and doubts.
If there exists even an iota of such suspicions or doubts, the consequences of one's entire amals @ deeds being rendered obsolete comes into being.
One would have lost one's entire life's deeds due to the emergence of any of those characteristics of doubts which would have been seeded by either one's own ignorance or as the result of following or paying heed to another who chooses to plant such seeds of deviance and false teachings into the ignorant one.
We see this happening often here in our nation where false eachings or deviant sects come to be because there exists amongst the populace or the ummah of today, many who become easy prey to the designs and dictates of those who victimise the ignorants by pulling a fast one on them due to their failure to learn the basics of our faith here.
I seriously recommend those who feel that they are not that sure of what their faith is to go and learn from the many religious classes being carried out in the masjids of this nation for free.
I myself learned from such classes and also study from the many sources of Islamic knowledge here in Malaysia.
I ask the ulamaks and consult with them about matters that I need further clarifications.
Alhamdulillah, I am now able to be in direct contact with those who are the top scholars of Islam in our nation and am blessed to have their counsel and advice.
Dear brothers and sisters,
No matter how beautiful and disciplined one's ibadah @ act of faith is that is presented to Allah, if there exists an iota of doubt or suspicion in it, that act of faith or deed is thrown back at it's offerer for it does not pass the requirements of Allah.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala does not need false pretenses. He sees us through and knows exactly as to the stage of our faith and understanding when we are 'praying' to Him.
Have you not seen those who utter the Takbir in solah and then drop down their arms again and repeat such act again and again in order to streamline their physical act of raising the arms in At Takbir and try their level best to focus and coordinate their inner self towards being in tandem with what they are carrying out in prayer?
Just like that. He knows whether our ruuh is in line with what we are saying or thinking during our prayers?
This is just the same as in the acts of faith that we carry out within our lifetime.
Just proclaiming that we are Muslims without us following through with learning and understanding exactly what we profess is tantamount to putting up an act or theatrics!
Even if our prayers or religious practices come across as being perfect or look so, the deeds or amals rests upon the validity of one's Aqeedah @ Bedrock of Faith.
If one's Aqeedah is correct, then one's Shariat and Akhlak @ Tasawwuf will be the same. If however one's Aqeedah is not firm and correct, one's other deeds or acts of faith becomes void and obsolete.
Just like a tree. If it is healthy and is growing well, that is a sign that the tree has very firm roots and entrenched well in a fertile ground. The tree would be having healthy leaves, flower frequently and bear fruits that would attract all to it and be appreciated by every insect, animal or mankind if that tree's fruits and its other parts are of the edible kind?
The same goes for those amongst the Ummah who possess a firm and solid Aqeedah. Their syariat and akhlak would also be perfect and admired by all. They would be enjoining towards the good, advice towards the acceptable and forbid against the forbidden. Such a well grounded Muslim or Muslimah will be sought by all and their examples be taken as a standard to be observed and followed.
Amongst those whom I respect and ask for advice regarding Al Islam here in our nation is :

Professor Dato' Dr.Harun Din whom I respect very much for his tremendous levels of Islamic knowledge and who teaches about Islam like no other Malaysian ulamak.
He is very articulate, not prone to throwing tantrums and pontificate unlike many others who think that they are infallible.
Professor Dato Dr Harun Din would be my preferred Khalifah here in Malaysia if we ever get to establish it within his and our lifetime?
He is my preferred ulamak to rule over us for he is both a solid `ulul `amri worthy of my allegiance and support and a worldly wise scholar who knows how to conduct himself in the company of his peers and the ummah.
Professor Dato Dr.Harun Din is not one who is prone to making caustic remarks and condemn anyone unlike others who think that they hold the key to the doors of Paradise and can promise such entry to whoever votes for them?
Such is the importance as to why I support Professor Dato Dr Harun Din as my preferred leader?
May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala bless him with the best of this life and in the Yaum al Akhirah.
Ameen Ya Rabbal Alamin.
Dear fellow Muslims,
The importance for us who call ourselves as Muslims is to continuously learn and study about our faith of Al Islam.
I will share more about this subject for the benefit of all those who value `Ilm and appreciate it to enrich their life's and add value and quality to it.
Insya Allah, we will be amongst those whom Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will shower us with His Taufik and Hidayah.
Ameen. Ya Rabbal Alameen.
To be continued. Insya Allah.

Filthy nauseating KL suburbs ~ What is the DBKL doing?
Along the way, I walked past dirty, uncleaned areas and rubbish filled drains that you can be excused if you think that you are not in the capital city of Malaysia, home of the Petronas Twin Towers and the Smart Tunnel, bla bla bla?
I came across such miserable sights that only the camera can do justice to avoid my displeasure in seeing such filthy, nauseating scenes that fit the description of some gone case banana republic!
A roadside stall all dirty and looking so unlike what you would find in a nation's capital like Kuala Lumpur?
You can find this stall at the corner of the road off Jalan Pasar Pudu heading to Jalan Beruang, opposite the Shell service station close to the overhead bridge which you can see in the background.
How long do you think it has been since the DBKL or Alam Flora roadsweepers and drainage cleaners have visited this part of the area?
For that plant to be able to germinate, take root and grow to that height, it must take more than a few weeks! The rubbish are slowly becoming compost!
Wonder what the DBKL cleaners have been doing all these while that even the drains are becoming filled with plants?
Makan gaji buta?
Where are the mandores or supervisors of Kuala Lumpur's City Hall?
Drinking teh tarik and chit chatting about politics in the nearest kopitiams?
Who the hell is in charge of these areas?
Does DBKL still have health inspectors in its payroll?
If they do, do these guys ever work and carry out their jobs to the letter?
Has anyone even bothered to check the hygiene situations of these roadside stalls or does such things no longer come into their job specifications?
Look at the oil soot filled filthy roofing of such stalls by the roadside of Jalan Pasar Pudu?
Who is in charge of the area here?
Tan Ting Tong or Mat Kelabu Asap?
Hello?????
Has any DBKL officer ever wondered as to what would be the case if any sight impaired person were to come across these bulging tree roots now breaking up the road pavements along Jalan Pasar Pudu?
Or is it not their concern?
Ladies and gentlemen, fellow Malaysians, behold the new Banyan tree growing nicely in the drain off Jalan Pasar Pudu, Kuala Lumpur.
The DBKL believes in preserving the environment as naturally as can be by emulating the way Angkor Wat has become.
Let nature take its course and soon we can all look forward to having a jungle within the Pasar Pudu areas.

Kingdom of the House of Saud in Arabia - The Historical Videos
These are what he has uploaded in http://www.dailymotion.com/user/Ali_La_Pointe
Thanks to Brother Abdylas Tynyshov for sharing the link in our MBA Googlegroup.
Part 1 of 6
Part 2 of 6
Part 3 of 6
Part 4 of 6
Part 5 of 6
Part 6 of 6
Please use your commonsense in concluding anything from these videos for they are produced compiling views from those whom you might not agree with but the historical parts shown here are the facts derived from actual footage in black & white film documentaries which Brother Ali_La_Pointe has successfully acquired and produced here for our viewing pleasure.
There are many folks amongst the Muslim ummah worldwide who do not know how the 'Kingdom of the House of Saud' came to be the rulers there today in Arabia?
These videos might help give them a glimpse into the windows through the folds of history and who were and still do remain as the major players in 'Saudi' Arabia?
My take on this is that as long as the Saudis remain as the pawns of the American and British powers, there will not be much that they can do to solve the Palestinian situation there which continues to bleed and destroy a nation and its peoples who have been robbed of their rights to live honorably in their own lands but now usurped by a rogue illegitimate regime of Zionist Israelis who in turn are the offspring of the British and American colonialists.
If the 'Kingdom of Saud' remains, the Khilafah al Islamiyyah which should be the legitimate rulers of the Islamic world will not come to be and the plight faced by the Ummah worldwide
will worsen and deteriorate by each passing day.
Muslims ought to know and study all these.
These videos here offer you a whole new eye opening platform as to what really happened?
Learn about how the Americans and British powers ensured that they get to enjoy a huge slice of the oil wealth that Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala created there beneath the burning sands of the Arabian deserts for Muslims to use but which are now blatantly being enjoyed by Islam's nemesis!
No doubt that the Saudis have assisted some Muslim nations with this and that but their continued reliance on America and UK patronage to help prop up their rule over Arabia has also victimised the rest of the Muslim nations who face Israeli aggression over the last 6 decades there in the Middle East.
Study and learn about the facts before coming to any conclusion as to the legitimacy of the 'Khadamul Haramain'?
The sad thing is that there are many amongst the Muslims of today who live in a 'Pollyana' kind of thinking that the Saudis can do no wrong and that everything wrong that is taking place in the so called Muslim world today is but the work of the Kuffars alone!
Utter poppycock I say! These blinkered chaps know nuts about the real powerplay being orchestrated by the Brits and the Americans over there in Arabia where the oil wealth is being enjoyed not solely by the Arabs but by their patrons over there in 10, Downing Street, London, England and at the White House, Capitol Hill, Washington, USA.
I doubt as to whether such myopic ones can ever see what's really happening today as far as the Saudis are concerned and as to why they can't do nothing to help the Palestinians who are being ethnically cleansed by the Zionists of Israel right under the very eyes of the whole goddamned bloody world?
May the truth prevail. If it ever shall?
Que sera sera, huh?
Communism ~ Socialism - Does Malaysia need it?
Dear brothers and sisters,
Calls for the return of Chin Peng to Malaysia.
Recent calls by certain parties in this multi ethnic, multi faithed nation of 27 over million Malaysians for the return of the then Secretary-General of the Communist Party of Malaya, Ong Boon Hua alias Chin Peng has sort of opened up a Pandora's Box of emotions and feelings that were kept pent up and willfully forgotten in order to move on with the matter of nation building which should be the number one priority of every true Malaysian.
Yet there are amongst us, those who so fervently are pursuing this matter to the degree that they are now working in tandem with those who harbor and ferment the seeds of socialism and communist ideals amongst the masses of today.
Writings, articles, speeches and books produced and published by these socialists amongst us are today sowing the seeds of discord amongst Malaysians who on one hand are not that happy with the powers that be for all the social and civil injustices that are prevalent amongst this multi ethnic, multi faithed nation and on the other slowly getting a rude awakening that those whom they thought would be their saviors turn out to be more around the same as the ones whom they despise!
There are now so many who seem to be willing to dance with the devil in order to get what they want disregarding the high costs that such a gamble on their part with making such a pact with the ones who seek to destroy and demolish all that our forefathers had built up at the cost of sacrificing their properties and life's to gain independence for this motherland of ours.
Personally, I am very cautious as not to make any conclusions just yet as to who deserves my support and who needs to be kept under official scrutiny for the very reasons that if left unchecked, these parties may just unleash a civil uprising over which neither the government of the day or they themselves would be able to keep in check the forces or the emotions that such an out of control crowd or mob might spark off?
The risks and dangers of such arousing of passions:
I recall the way things got out of hand in Indonesia during the May of 1998, Anti Chinese Riots took place in Jakarta and Surakarta when poverty and misgovernment met head to head resulting in a tragedy that took a turn for the worse!
The affluent Chinese population of Indonesia were made scapegoats for the inefficiency of the ruling regime of the then President Suharto and led to so many life's to be lost, thousands of Chinese girls and ladies systematically gang raped, massacred and had their properties destroyed, looted and robbed at will by the marauding mobs!!!
The way sentiments are being instigated today by way of incitive comments, articles and writings in blogs and websites, one just shudders to contemplate as to what all these is going to lead to and unleash a frenzy of hatred and communal violence that when it takes place is not going to differentiate between the innocent ones amongst us and those who are guilty of mismanagement and embezzlement of all that they were entrusted with in the first place?
Take a good look at the way things turned out after the people of Indonesia were goaded to a state of dementia and lost all counts of self discipline and descended into uncontrolled anarchy brought about by the injustice against them in their own nation then?
No doubt, some of the demands made by the socialists and the communists are valid and ought to be taken into consideration by the ruling government, yet there are accompanying implications of ceding to their many requests that will scuttle the basic principles of our religious ideals and faith that will lead to a breakdown of all that we hold sacred and valuable for us as Believers in Almighty Allah and Al Islam.
Those who label themselves as Muslims but support communism are akin to denying Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala as God Almighty!
They need to have their aqeedah @ bedrock of faith checked to confirm their religious status!
Socialism might be appealing to those who want to see equality between the masses but in reality even those Communist leaders of the Soviet Russian governments and those in China put up a false front and enjoy themselves at the expense of the common folks in those so called socialist societies!
The many dachas of the Soviet Presidents hide the reality that the elite amongst the politburo enjoyed all the trappings of capitalism whilst the poor peasants who contribute the fruits of their hard labor scrape by with almost nothing and exist in a life full of suffering since their countries fell to the hammer and sickle propaganda!
Read here and here to find out for yourselves what the socialist 'ruling caste' enjoyed after supposedly getting rid of the capitalistic way of life?
Sure, the elite of our land are living it up over there in Putrajaya where the former 5th PM had that infamous 'Merdeka Soiree' where the cream de la creme of Malaysian socialites 'wined and dined' at the expense of the rakyat and had superstar entertainers flown in to croon the partying ruling elite and all the ones who had business connections with the PM's inner circle.
Read 'Monsoon Cup' players. The ones who were said to have utilized or diverted the Terengganu Petronas petroleum honorariums for themselves instead of using the money to develop the oil producing state, etc.
I really don't relish digging into all those scandals for it is just not something that I would want to dwell upon.
I shall leave that to the growing number of investigative bloggers of our land. The 'Sherlock Holmes' of Malaysia. We do have quite a number of them, believe me.
The way I see it, things are not quite right here in our beloved country. That's the truth. Yet I do not relish the thought of communism or socialism taking root in this land. It's just the same kind of injustice where the ruling elite just put up a bloody masquerade of being so righteous and just when in actual reality they are not!
I recall the case where the present Opposition Coalition had a couple of its Assemblymen get involved in 'charity sex scandals' @ 'sedekah seks'!
Where the hell did those chaps ever get the idea or inspiration to come out with that kind of bullshit defense or excuse?
It just beats me!
If only the Malay Sultans and Raja could be a bit more proactive and really start to take care of their respective states and subjects, we wouldn't have so many problems cropping up every now and then in this nation?
If only those who are elected or appointed really do their jobs as they are supposed to, we will not see so many criminal breach of trusts take place here in Bolehland?
I could go on and on with so many 'If only's' that might put you to sleep so I won't!
Let's clean up the country and get rid of all the shysters both sides of the political playing field and try our level best to put this country back on track.
Easier said than done, huh?
Well....someone's got to start somewhere...and I'd rather it be here, in our homeland.
Socialism and Communism have had their days in the Soviet Union and China. Look at what has happened there in the birthplace of such ideas and ideologies?
Same old shit with a pretentious label. That's all.
Yet here we are facing the scenario of Chin Peng lovers all lining up to garland the notorious communist a huge welcome home.
The PKR Supremo Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim is rallying actively for the Communist leader to return home from Thailand.
Wonder whether Anwar or the PKR can guarantee Chin Peng's safety if he ever gets back?
I am sure that there are many aggrieved parties here who would just love to see Chin Peng blasted to bits for all his Communist Party of Malaya's atrocities back then during the Emergency!
This calling for allowing Chin Peng to return home might just be a ruse to throw the public off from the media attention to all the various political scandals that are rocking the nation recently?
Whatever it is, I hope Malaysia stays clear from all the dogmas and propaganda of those two evils.
Insya Allah.

Are Malaysians patriotic? What? U don't know what patriotic is? Haiyya.....
Frankly speaking, I guess that there are many amongst the current population of our country who think that life here sucks, this and that and dream of living overseas.
The average non Malay well to do Malaysians are prone to speak as if living here in Bolehland is really the pits and can't wait to fly away to some foreign land where he or she feels that life might be so much more better than this homeland of ours.
Well, it is as they say that one has to go and experience life in a faraway place before he or she will realize the truth of the famous saying that the 'grass always looks greener from the other side until you come and look back at what you have left in seeking greener pastures?
There are many Malaysians who left our shores seeking a better life who lament missing his or her kampong and all that Malaysia is famous or infamous for?
Click onto the video above and read the comment from one Malaysian living in the USA saying that he misses home. Hehehehe...usual story, huh?
We won't know what we have till its gone or taken away from us? God Forbid!
I sure would like to travel and see the world but Malaysia is the only home for me and despite the thousand and one faults that we usually find in it, it's the only place where we were born and where I'd want to be buried in.
For those who are now living in exile out of their own choice, I'm sure that they are hurting like hell, missing this land where you can find every faith under the sun and almost every ethnicity on Earth living here in relative peace except the odd news every now and then of some incident involving certain nationalities who run foul of the law or become victims of racial profiling due to the notoriety of some of their compatriots who somehow think that they can have it their way here in Bolehland?
Take for example two infamous Malaysians now on the run from the laws of this land.
HINDRAF Chairman in exile Mr. Waytha Moorthy now said to be living in England!
The other Malaysian on the run is the Malaysia Today Editor in Chief and Blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin @ RPK who is said to be living in Brisbane, Australia, the Land Down Under for his articles pinpointing current PM of 1Malaysia Dato Seri Najib Tun Razak and Najib's consort Rosmah Mansor as responsible for a Mongolian model's being blown to bits in one of the nation's longest running murder trials that the PM and his wife have pooh poohed as rubbish!
No more teh tarik for you guys!
You can drool as you look at the roti canai, tosai, mee goreng, mee bandung, nasi lemak, char koay teow, rojak, cendol, ABC, etc. flashing before you in full color in the various You Tube videos uploaded by us. :)
We may have our crazies amongst the local politicians, each thinking that he or she is the gift to Malaysia ; we may have those who think that they are infallible ~ quite a number there actually ; we even have those who can promise us a ticket to paradise @ as long as you vote for them ...
Malaysia has all kinds. It may not be perfect ~ but it's home!

Failed attempts to instigate racial riots in Kamunting.
Dear fellow Malaysians,
Not many of you might be aware of the recent attempts by Mr.Waytha Moorthy, the Chairman of the banned Hindu Rights Action Force or HINDRAF as it is called to try and stir up another racial unrest amongst the citizens of this nation namely the people of Kamunting, Taiping, Perak through his call to the Malaysian Indians to rise up against the local Malays who are said to be from the 'underworld' there following what he claims to be a racist attack against the Indians of Kamunting on June the 8th, 2009.
I reproduce herewith the exact words of HINDRAF's Chairman, Mr.Waytha Moorthy for your attention.
...................................................................................................................................................................
HINDRAF : KAMUNTING RESIDENTS FACING THREAT OF RACIAL VIOLENCE FROM THE UNDERWORLD “3LINE” AND “MAT REMPIT” GANG
HINDRAF have obtained reliable information from members of the public including sympathisers from the Malay Community that the underworld “3 Line and Mat Rempit ” gang are mobilising a large number of superbikers into Kamunting on Saturday, June 13, 2009 to “teach” the Indians a lesson as a result of the racial clash that sparked on June 8, 2009.
HINDRAF wishes to stress that we do not condone to any form of violence let it be from the Indians, Malays or any race for the matter.
The racial attacks in Kamunting on June 8, 2009 and the ongoing unrelated, unprovoked attacks on innocent Malaysian Indians in Kamunting are being perpetrated by outsiders in gangs of superbikes believed to be members of the underworld Malay “3 Line and Mat Rempit” gangs.
Over the last 2 days Indians in groups (in Kamunting) of more than 3 are told to disperse by the police or face arrest but they seem to deliberately ignore the large groups of the underworld superbikers who are patrolling and intimidating the Malaysian Indian folks in Kamunting.
A Hindu Temple namely the Madurai Veeran Temple in Batu 4, Kamunting was also torched by members of these underworld and Police is yet to investigate the report lodged by members of the said Temple.
The impartiality of the Royal Malaysian Police Force is questionable as they are fully aware of these gangs’ activities in arousing racial clashes in Kamunting and it appears that they are colluding with these gangsters in continuing their activities for motives only known to them.
HINDRAF calls upon the IGP to act in accordance to the oath he had taken in providing protection to all citizens of the country and prevent Kamunting from turning into another Kg. Medan massacre that took place from 8/3/2001 to 23/3/2001 (15 days in a row without any interference from the Police Force to restore law and order) where hundreds were seriously injured and 6 lives were lost.
We call upon the IGP to take a pragmatic and realistic approach particularly in mobilizing his men on 13th June 2009 to prevent any untoward incident planned by the underworld gangs which could lead to unnecessary cost to innocent lives.
There has to be more patrols and protection to the people of Kamunting and those culprits who have been attacking innocent people over the last four days must be arrested immediately and charged in Court, failing which the confidence of the people in the Royal Malaysian Police Force would be eroded further.
P. Waytha Moorthy.
HINDRAF – Chairman
....................................................................................................................................................................
Now, if what Mr.Waytha Moorthy has claimed to have taken place is true, I am pretty sure that the mainstream media would have published the related news through their media channels and the whole incident would surely have been reported by our Malaysian bloggers network without fail?
I have also come across counter responses by concerned Malaysian Indians who deny the said happenings as being nothing more than mere exaggerations on Mr.Waytha Moorthy's part and have advised him to please be more careful when posting such unfounded allegations in the Malaysian online groups and forums for such a serious allegation might just spark off a nasty unnecessary confrontation between the masses here in our multi ethnic. multi faithed nation.
I sincerely appreciate the presence and courage of such rational fellow Malaysians here amongst the Indian Community of Malaysia and thank them for their maturity and patriotism for nipping these instigation's in the bud, so to speak.
Here are a series of responses that I am reproducing here for the sake of our mutual contemplation as to the actual situation about the matter.
I will just publish the content of the response without disclosing the details of the forumers for their security's sake. I am publishing them exactly as they appear in the online forum leaving out the names and emails of the participants.
1st response:
Please get the facts right before making such statements . The whole incident was started by 4 Indian guys . All the people in Kamunting know about it . A person sitting somewhere in overseas should not make statements like this without properly investigating the incident . Hindraf should stop creating hatred among the Indians .
2nd response:Hi Sir,
I just do not understand from where you got this source on Kamunting issue. I'm from Kamunting and when all the incident happens I was still there. I know what actually happened, who and why?
What is there that has to do with what you say as 'HINDRAF have obtained reliable information from members of the public including sympathizers from the Malay Community that the underworld “3 Line and Mat Rempit ” gang are mobilizing a large number of superbikers into Kamunting on Saturday, June 13, 2009 to “teach” the Indians a lesson as a result of the racial clash that sparked on June 8, 2009.'?
There is nothing racial there, no Malaysian Tamil died due to the issue above or no Malays died and no clashes happened as you mention.
Who is the reliable Hindraf members who had given you the information? Did you see anything personally?? Any proof?
We are all staying in Kamunting and my family staying there for 3 generations and we are staying in Malay area for almost 36 years where we do not have any racial clashes as you mention.
Every one is going to work and daily activity per normal.
Do you know that among the 40 houses there we are the only Tamil family, 3 Chinese families and the rest are Malays.
What racial clashes are you talking about??
I agree there is gang fights among the youth but not due to racial basically with actions and words.
The youths I mean not only Malaysian Tamils but Malay youth too. Every Kamunting resident knew this.
Why should you call upon IGP to take a pragmatic and realistic approach where you, yourself have not spoke to him for the actual picture?
People of Kamunting Malaysian Tamils and the Malays understand all the details happen during that days.
Please DO NOT MISLEAD the PUBLIC over the net and create another unproductive
issues.
Please do not make this another page where we do not want the Malaysian Tamils to be treated like the Sri Lanka Tamils due to some misleads.
Be reasonable, Sir!
Find out the root cause, get precise details, do some post mortem over the incidents happen. Guide and change the youths who are involve and get them be a value add citizen but do not misguide the public for something which did not take place.
The funny thing is your Hindraf member did not say how many Malaysian Tamil youth and Malay youth were caught and in Taiping and Kamunting lock up?
How many youths had out patient treatment?? How many are still in hospital?? What was their actions and why?
IGP had spoken to the public of Kamunting, how come your member did not inform you that??
Please do not start another book with new chapter in the name of Kamunting.
3rd response :
Dear @@@@@@ ,
Hat off to you . I wish I could have written better . It is good to hear from a person whose is exactly staying in Kamunting area .
The President of Hindraf has finally shown his true color . It also begin to show his lack of leadership . His own coordinators began to split up and went on their way to form their own party .
It is sad to see he too began to take the common course of common leaders taking opportunity of petty issues to play the racial card . I am beginning to have doubts about his sincere intentions to help the Indians .
Last I remember was Uthaya was saying that he had drawn out some plans to present to the prime minister and so on and till today there seems to be no news.
Anyway to me Hindraf has chartered its course to its own destruction the very moment the team began to split .
The so called the Hindraf leaders have slowly began to vanish into thin air . The current one has already began to show his own weakness in his judgment and clearly indicates he has no vision.
Whatever it maybe , I hope in future Hindraf should change its ways to improve its service to the community and not make use of this kind of opportunity to get themselves recognized .
Kindly try to refrain from sending provocative emails which further aggravates the public anger . Many have families there and are worried about their well being.
As a community leader , one should be more responsible and sensible in making statements to the public .
I am still very surprised as to why Waytha Murthy has not even bothered to answer all the questions imposed to him?
4th Follow up response from same forumer above :
HINDRAF CHAIRMAN P.Waytha Morthy as an educated man and as a responsible man who cares about the Indian society has to be careful with the statement he makes.
One should think and analyze first on why Malays would suddenly turn violent and start attacking all the Indians.
Your statement sounds like as if the Malays have no other work and they have suddenly gone crazy and they decided to attack the Indians . Your statements also instigates Indians to retaliate.
First of all your reliable information is not reliable at all .
What do you mean by racial attacks in Kamunting and the ongoing unrelated , unprovoked attacks on innocent Malaysian Indians.
The whole provocation was started by a bunch of Indians who sold drugs . Some things went wrong when the attacked the wrong guy and fight broke . They used this event to turn it into a racial issue by sending sms to others and the whole thing broke out of proportion.
Many effort was taken to keep the matters under control so that this issue does not spread like a fire and cause racial crisis . Efforts was taken to control both sides and to try to solve the issue amicably .
Your statement is a disgrace . You try to use this issue to make Hindraf look popular again. After you brother's famous gangrene leg which by god's blessing suddenly turned out to be well after being forcibly thrown out of ISA camp .
Your move brought the Indians together and aware of their rights but you have further created few monsters who took the opportunity to make money in the name of HINDRAF and further divided the community by forming their own parties.
Everyone one of your coordinators are suddenly the champions of the indians and are on the move to form their own party .
I looked highly upon you as my hero once upon a time . Soon I realize that you are a leader with a hidden agenda . You are a leader who as no vision for the future of the community . Your aim is to take out you frustration on the government and our community have to pay the price .
There many individual heroes in this society who have contributed immensely to the society . They are a lot better of then you are.
Men like you with evil in heart will soon fall and be disgraced.
5th response is one of support to Mr.Waytha Moorthy :
Unfortunately he was fed with wrong info.
Are you telling every single leader in this country are saints..? Do I have to give examples to prove this theory to you?
Even our top leader has been connected to many controversial issues and will you dare to question him?
Will you even have the guts to post an article questioning him over @@ @@@@?
You as a Malaysian Indian easily pick on another Malaysian coz you know he wont retaliate.
We Malaysian Indians are always the easy target. You are blasting him as though he has committed murder. He made a wrong statement and you commented that's it.....but yours sound more like personal attack.
We Malaysian Indian are the real enemies and we are the one who back stab our own race. Not the Malays or the Chinese.
Regards
PS..: Dear @@@@ hope you allow this message to go thru. TQ
6th response in response to the 5th forumer :
Dear @@@@@@ @@@@@ ,
You light a candle in darkness instead of cursing the darkness but you also don't go around burning the neighborhood to create light .
For you information , i have written many articles criticizing practically every leader whom I felt were doing something wrong but unfortunately it never appeared in @@ @@@@ but it always appears in Malaysian Hindraf .
The punishment is said to be more severe for the person who provokes or motivate others to commit murder and not the murderer himself .
Waytha Moorthy claimed it was a reliable source . He is a lawyer . He must know that he has to get the facts right first. When I got the sms , I was angry too.
I wanted to forward these sms to others too . However , I spent the whole day calling everyone I know to get confirmation .
Wathya Moorthy's message was very provocative and dangerous . This is not a child we are dealing with.
He is an educated man and dangerously a lawyer who can think in different angle . If it was any other man , I would not have been very critical . I would contribute it to lack of education .
What you see is very superficial which is in your level of thinking .
Let me see if I recall it well .
In Mahabharata , Yudhistra and Dhuroyodhana were tested in various ways to determine who makes a better king?
In one of the test they were presented with a 3 prisoner who were guilty of a murder .
Dhuryodana sentenced all three to their death.
Yudhistra sentenced each one differently. One prisoner was a soldier, a farmer and a priest .
The priest was sentenced to death , farmer to life in prison and the soldier was given a stern
warning .
Wathya Moorthy's words were very cleverly formed. At a glance the message is plain.
When you read it carefully you will feel and urge of anger sipping through. This is how a mind works? An educated mind will form its own reasoning but a simple mind will see it as it is .
If you do not mind , ask a psychiatrist to analyze the letter . Ask him his view?
I do not go around attacking people on personal grudge.
Waytha Moorthy made a wrong statement, you said . Where is his apology?
Never mind. He is overseas . Good for him.
Each have their own opinion based on what their minds allow them to see.
To me, Waytha Moorthy is just a coward hiding somewhere overseas taking advantages of
situations here to create further unrest .
If you are a person who cares for the people then you should be down in the playing field and see matters for yourself.
We are responsible for our actions and every action has its own equal and opposite reaction .
7th response in general :
Respected Sir ,
I usually analyze peoples writing . I missed this one since I was in a hurry and was bit upset about this issue as I was worried about my family in Kamunting .
If Mr.(Moderator) allows , I will try to analyze this letter . Let us not look into the subject of this letter but the intent of this letter as a case study .
They are many mails sent to @@ @@@@ , sometimes I think it is very difficult for the moderator to really decide.
Some of us read in details and some of us do not waste time in things like this . Your point about the effect on peoples mind is true . Our subconscious mind works on a different level .
If there is are lawyers in @@ club who could read thru Mr.Wathya's statement and tell us their point, that will be good .
Do not use this opportunity to personally attack anyone . We use this letter as a sample to analyze and educate ourselves .
I leave this matter to Mr. (Moderator).
........................................................................................................................................................................
I am ending the series of responses to the call by Mr.Waytha Moorthy to the Kamunting Malaysian Indians to take action against those who are said to be the assaulters or attackers of the Indians there to share with you what I make of this situation?
From the responses above, we can all see that today's Malaysian Indians are much more rational and take their time to study and assess the truth of the matter before coming to any conclusions?
Recently, there has been a spate of police lock up deaths etcetera involving those suspects from the Indian community who had been arrested for various crimes.
The truth of the matter that some of them sustained physical injuries during their arrests can't be denied by anyone for the marks and wounds are there for all to see.
The circumstances leading to such deaths and the often ridiculous reasons being given by the police need to be investigated.
But then again, as in many other police forces all over the world, does anyone really expect the police force to go against their own members in the truest of sense?
'Esprit de corps' always takes precedence because that's how uniformed forces work. All for one and one for all, etc.
Those who died are said to be criminals. They were arrested for crimes that they were accused of committing?
In the process of law enforcement, it is a matter of life or death for the police officers who risk their life's and limbs to apprehend the criminals and lately many of the police force have themselves been injured in their course of duty and some have died at the hands of the criminals themselves.
Who mourns for them?
Who cares about the wives and kids left to fend for themselves when the father died for his country at the hands of criminals?
Robbers who mercilessly hack to death their victims during the course of their robberies at petrol stations, convenience stores, etc?
Think I am bluffing?
Watch this and judge for yourselves as to the ruthless barbaric ways of the robbers here?
Did the convenience store workers put up a fight against them to merit such a hacking using the long parangs by these criminals?
Who amongst the Malaysian public gives a second thought about the dangers and plight of the men in blue?
Not that many, right?
Most of us get to live in relative safety because of the presence of these police officers who work their butts off to ensure we get to sleep in peace.
Yes, there are some black sheep in the police force but aren't there the equal number of such vermin amongst society as well?
Hell! Some families are cursed to have such criminals torturing their own lives by endangering even their own flesh and blood to satisfy their drug addiction or other forms of abuse.
Some rape even their own siblings and beat to death their own wife, parents, siblings or even their own children!
We read about these criminals daily in the papers and mass media.
If not for the presence of the police force, our safety at large will be just not there and we will all be at the danger of falling victim to the crazy, demented ones out there.
I for one truly respect and appreciate the ones who have spoken up here denouncing the man who is at large overseas who instead of using his knowledge and skill to improve the lives and future of his community has chosen instead to pit them against the rulers of the land by driving them nuts and goad them every now and then to confront the juggernauts of the Malaysian law enforcement agencies and Government of the day.
What good does that do for the Malaysian Indians?
Who has benefited from being tear gassed and baton charged by the FRU?
Do we not have the power to choose our government through the ballot box every few years?
Why jeopardize our life and limb just to satisfy the humongous egos of those who only dare to instigate the masses to face the FRU and so on but run and hide when the situations gets too bloody hot for them to handle?
I have seen the same take place in all the protests and demonstrations that have been orchestrated in this country.
I have even been involved in some myself but with age and experience, I too have come to realize that life is much more than that?
I for one have decided to make sure that the remaining moments of my life goes towards helping my fellow Malaysians live a better life and get to co exist in relative peace, safety, harmony and progress with one another.
Instead of wasting our precious remaining moments of our short temporal lives here on earth in useless petty quarrels, etcetera..I'd rather we spend it to seek our livelihood and prosper ourselves and our neighbors, Malays, Chinese, Indians, Sikhs, Orang Asli's, Caucasians, whatsoever!
To Mr.Waytha Moorthy,
If you truly love the Malaysian Indians, you'd do better to come home and help them here in getting better living standards using the smart proven ways than to pit them against the ones in power unnecessarily.
He who puts his own self interest above others, usually ends up losing it all at the end of the day.
Be wise and let Malaysians live in peace as one brother and sisterhood.
To the ones whom I have quoted, may Almighty God bless and guide you all to success and a better tomorrow, free from harm and danger.
Ameen.

Tired of Malaysian Politics? Come relax with P.Ramlee's 'Nak Dara Rindu'.
Dear fellow Malaysians,
I don't know about you but I find all the latest political theatrics here in Malaysia just a bloody bore and long for some peace and quiet.
Peace and quiet that I am sure those my age and senior enjoyed during the times of the late Allahyarham Tan Sri P.Ramlee.
'Nak Dara Rindu' is one of the many soothing songs sung by our nation's best ever superstar that calmed many of us when times were tough just like the current situation in this changing nation.
Forget the idiots antics for a while and come disappear back into an era when life here in Malaysia was just simple and beautiful.

The Malaysian Political Circus is in session.
It's not like we have not seen the way those whom the Malaysian voters trusted and voted to power started utilizing gutter political tactics since lately.
First we had a group of Opposition MPs pull a stunt by cycling to Parliament supposedly in protest against the fuel price hikes.
Then we had the infamous 'under the raintree Perak State Assembly' stunt carried out by the ones who were betrayed by 3 of their comrades causing the balance of power to swing from the DAP-PKR-PAS loose coalition to the BN.
We then saw a 'hunger strike' being carried out by the same fellows there in Ipoh.
This morning, the same old chap pulled a stunt after being sworn in as an MP!

Sorry to say, the Speaker of the Malaysian Parliament on duty is no pushover!

Thus he kicked out all those who tried to pull a circus act in the Malaysian Parliament.
What a bloody waste of time, precious resources and effort that the public have done in electing these jokers into position?
It's been nothing but political theatrics and stunts being pulled by all these troublemakers since the last election and I believe that there are now millions of Malaysians like me who are getting fed up and sick of all these political buffoonery!
Stop all the bullshit and get to work you clowns!
Yang Berhormats?
More so being Yang Bingai! Yang Berengsek! Yang .. (you may fill up the blanks as you please)!
Where's the credence for the Malaysian public to respect these jokers when they who are supposed to be the people's representatives start misbehaving in Parliament itself?
Either start being the people's representatives and conduct yourselves with decorum or just resign from your posts so that those who can do the work step in and fill your roles.
What have all those who have been elected done for the rakyat since March, 2008?
Let's be rational and stop wasting the nation's resources in getting stuck in these endless by elections!!!
Sheeeshh! Damn all these political clowns!
May they get their comeuppance soon!
Fancy a D.I.Y. helicopter? Check out this Chinese guy!
I've always been fascinated by air flight. Used to marvel at the way, helicopters can lift off and remain hovering above ground.
I'm really awe struck watching this Chinese farmer taking flight in his own home made D.I.Y. gyrocopter!
Simply amazing!
McDonalds Drive Thru at Cheras Bt 3 Shell Service Station 'polluting it!'.

For all the McDonalds Restaurant's hype ads featuring 'I'm Loving it!' etc., I doubt as to whether many of us ever bother to spend even a second to think as to what happens to all the heavy oil containing waste water that flows out of the restaurant's kitchens all over the country and practically the whole wide civilized world?
This morning I came upon a Cheras Bt 3 Shell service station employee looking stumped as he came across a foul smelling stinking blocked up drain full of the toxic sludge blocking up the fairly new service station's drainage system courtesy of their attached McDonalds Drive Thru restaurant !
I almost wretched as the awful pong hit my nostrils and gagged from the toxic fumes emanating from the blocked up drains full of oil sludge choking up the entire drain system of the service station.
I did a study on the fast food restaurants waste water problem and this is what I found?
Waste water from restaurants and other commercial food service facilities differs significantly from residential waste water.
In addition to higher surge volumes during busy periods, and generally higher temperatures, restaurant waste water is typically higher in strength than residential waste water.
This is due to higher levels of oil, grease and foods which cause a higher biochemical oxygen demand (BOD).
Oil and grease frequently cause problems for both on site sewage disposal systems and public sewer systems.
The problem occurs when oil and grease liquefy at the high water temperatures used to wash dishes and later solidify in sewer lines or sensitive soil interfaces in the leaching facilities of on site systems.
The problem is exacerbated when highly efficient detergents are used to emulsify the oil and grease, keeping them in suspension until they enter the leaching field.
Although conventional grease traps are supposed to prevent grease from entering the septic tank or sewer line, high grease loads, emulsified grease, and surge waste water loads often cause grease to bypass the grease trap and enter the leach field.
When grease reaches the soil absorption system it can physically clog the soil pores preventing both water infiltration and the free transfer of oxygen necessary to digest waste.
The high BOD present in grease also promotes excessive bacterial growth which causes the formation of a thick anaerobic biomat that has less ability to actually treat the waste.
The result is premature failure of the soil absorption system.
Data suggests that if soil absorption systems at restaurants are to function in the long term, design modifications must be made which take into account the much higher waste water strength, flow variations, and oil and grease constituents found in restaurant waste water.
~~~~
They simply do not bother to ensure that whatever effluents and waste water flowing out from their kitchen sinks and outlets into the drains are treated first to trap the grease and oil before it coagulates and blocks up the entire drainage systems of the area.
The back alleys and restaurant service areas of this country are often so polluted that health conscious customers will truly give them a miss if they were to ever get a glimpse of how filthy most restaurant cooking areas are?
Here are 3 scenes that I came across recently at Bandar Sri Permaisuri, Cheras, KL.
Look at the blackened greasy road due to the untreated cooking waste simply being swept onto the road. The whole place stinks like hell! This is a Chinese restaurant close to the Hero Supermarket at Bandar Sri Permaisuri.
Just opposite the Chinese restaurant is the back area of a Mamak restaurant there. Click on to the photos to see for yourselves the filth present all around the place!
Here is a shot of the whole area. Filthy and stinking like hell.
Do you think that the DBKL @ Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur's Health Division has even bothered to come conduct a spot check at this area?
Even if they had done so, it will usually be a case of 'Bisa di atur pak!'
Close one eye and all that shit!
No wonder the country is in reality going to the dogs!
Err...let's correct that!
Even dogs won't hang around such foul stinking areas!
I wonder if McDonalds would consider a new tag line along with all these irresponsible restaurateurs who foul up our nation with their equally ecologically devastating acts of stinking up the drainage and sewage systems of our countries towns and cities?
Instead of 'I'm loving it!' they have to admit that they are fouling it!
I have no quarrel with any restaurant service operators. I just hope that they will take care of what they pour out into our drainage systems.
At the end of the day, when everything gets blocked up and backs up, overflowing the sinks and gushing out onto the restaurant floors, then it is these very restaurateurs who will have to face the sludge!!!
Stop the rot! Solve the pollution and free our drains or just wait and see what happens?
Please do not turn our rivers into open sewers!
All the drains lead to where?
Surely our country's rivers right?
Here, have a look at what has happened to rivers of other countries?
Do we want to see our rivers end up like this?
It all starts from that kitchen sink, no matter whether it is a home kitchen or from fast food restaurants such as McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pizza Hut, Shakeys, Wendy's or what the bloody hell ever?
Stop the rot! Treat your waste water before you flush it down the drains to our rivers!!!
This is an environmental awareness posting from Mahaguru58.
Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan disarankan menyiasat SIS.
USUL MUKTAMAR PAS SUPAYA MAJLIS FATWA KEBANGSAAN MENYIASAT AKTIVITI SISTERS IN ISLAM (SIS).
Saya amat mengalu-alukan usul Parti Islam SeMalaysia (PAS) yang diluluskan tanpa bahas yang menyeru Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan agar menyiasat aktiviti Sisters in Islam (SIS) dan jika mendapati ianya bertentangan dengan ajaran Islam mengharamkan pertubuhan tersebut. SIS adalah sebuah badan yang didaftarkan di bawah Akta Syarikat 1965.
Sebagai sebuah pertubuhan yang membawa nama Islam sudah seharusnya aktiviti SIS tidak bertentangan dengan ajaran Islam. Biarlah Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan menyiasat perkara ini kerana Majlis tersebut adalah badan yang berotoriti mengkaji samada aktiviti SIS bertentangan dengan ajaran Islam atau tidak. SIS tidak perlu gusar sekiranya mereka berpendapat aktiviti mereka tidak bertentangan dengan ajaran Islam malah SIS hendaklah membantu Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan dalam siasatan mereka dengan mengemukakan apa sahaja bukti yang diperlukan bagi mencapai keputusan yang adil. Janganlah tergopoh gapah membuat kesimpulan Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan akan membuat keputusan yang tidak memihak kepada SIS.
Sayugia diingatkan orang bukan Islam khususnya Majlis Peguam agar tidak mencampuri urusan dalaman agama Islam (intrafaith) semata-mata atas nama hak asasi. Perkara ini melibatkan hal ehwal dalaman agama Islam dan adalah tidak wajar orang bukan Islam mencampuri urusan ini sebagaimana orang Islam tidak pernah mencampuri urusan agama bukan Islam lain.
Sudah sewajarnya sebarang pertubuhan yang mendakwa mereka memperjuangkan Islam tertakluk kepada agama Islam itu sendiri. Piawaian yang digariskan Islam hendaklah dipatuhi dan diikuti dengan ketat agar tidak menimbulkan salah sangka atau representasi salah terhadap nama yang dibawa itu. Adalah amat tidak masuk akal jika sebuah pertubuhan itu menggunakan nama Islam tetapi tidak memperjuangkan Islam. Perkara inilah sebenarnya yang harus disiasat oleh Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan sebagaimana yang diusulkan oleh PAS.
Hal ehwal sesuatu agama hanya boleh ditadbir oleh golongan agama itu sahaja sebagaimana yang termaktub di dalam Perkara 11(3) Perlembangaan Persekutuan. Malah telah termaktub di bawah Perlembagaan Perseketuan Artikel 11(4) pula, kedududukan orang Islam di bawah Kerajaan Persekutuan dan Negeri-negeri di dalam Persekutuan boleh memulihara kepentingan Islam dan Muslim dengan memperuntukan undang-undang bagi memuliharanya dari anasir-anasir yang silap, salah dan menyeleweng saperti juga yang telah diputuskan oleh Mahkamah Persekutuan di dalam kes-kes Sulaiman Takrib (pengikut Ayah Pin), Abdul Kahar (Rasul Melayu) dan Mamat bin Daud. Sayugia di ingatkan bahawa kepada mereka yang merujuk pada dasar Perlembagaan Perseketuan sebagai dasar polemik harus juga menghormati peruntukan yang ada yang telah di tafsirkan oleh Mahkamah Persekutuan tersebut
Walaupun demikian saya akur perlunya diadakan dialog yang terurus dengan SIS ataupun mana-mana pertubuhan lain berkaitan dengan sesuatu isu ataupun pendirian. Ia bertujuan bagi memahami aspirasi dan objektif sesuatu perkara itu. Ruang dialog hendaklah tidak ditutup dan gunakanlah ruang ini bagi menyelesaikan segala permasalahan mengikut kehendak agama. Namun di dalam berdialog mencari kebenaran itu kedua dua belah pihak hendaklah mempunyai niat yang ikhlas dan suci bagi mencari penyelesaian yang tidak bercanggah dengan Hukum Syarak.
Inilah pandangan peribadi saya setelah beberapa pihak bertanyakan kepada saya berhubung perkara ini.
Wallahu a’lam.
Dig two graves for the DAP leaders ~ Lawyer Darshan Singh advises villagers!
It gets even better!
Lawyer Darshan Singh Khaira has added some punch to the predicament faced by the villagers of Kampong Lorong Buah Pala, Bukit Glugor, Penang by awakening them to the realities facing them in their case where they are resisting forced eviction from their centuries old village by developer Nusmetro Group!
Lawyer Darshan Singh reminded the villagers that all the 'cross my dead body' promises by the DAP top leadership is nothing but 'bullshit' spewed by politicians in the heat of the election campaign moment and which almost always dissipate into hot air when things go contrary to what they had envisioned?
Lawyer Darshan Singh advised the villagers to start digging two graves for the DAP top honchos! He even gave them the estimated grave measurements! Hehehehehehe....
So I for one am with Lawyer Darshan Singh with his stand here for he is speaking the truth where soon the villagers will be facing the FRU, get teargassed and beaten to the sides, followed by the developers bulldozers all because some judge is going to award a court order in favor of the ones who have the money and the political clout!
The DAP might now be the Penang State Government but just like the BN, they too will be singing the same old song that the courts have decided! There's nothing more that they can do?
I sure would love to be proven wrong on this conclusion of mine. :)
Kg Buah Pala residents!
Just start preparing yourselves for the realities coming your way. Start safekeeping and packing your important documents, heirlooms, etc.
The durians in power always win no matter how many lawyer cucumbers promise you that they will die for your sake!
As far as I know, no DAP lawyer or politician has done as promised ~ died for the sake of the villagers like Kg Buah Pala?
Please advise me if there has been any DAP martyr who has died for the sake of the Malaysian public that has escaped my knowledge and attention?
'Siapa lelaki dayus ?' oleh Ustaz Zaharuddin Abd Rahman.
Siapa Lelaki Dayus ?
Oleh
Zaharuddin Abd Rahman
Jika sebelum ini saya menulis dua artikel berkenaan aurat dan wanita. Saya juga telah mendedahkan satu email yang mengandungi artikel berkenaan bahaya nafsu lelaki dan sebagai pengetahuan am buat para wanita. Walaubagaimanapun, tidak memadai info-info tersebut tanpa menyentuh satu lagi bab yang amat berkaitan dengannya.
Bab berkenaan suami dan tanggungjawab mereka terhadap isteri mereka dan anak-anak perempuan mereka.
Sebenarnya, bab ini agak panjang kerana terlalu banyak tanggung jawab suami dan ayah terhadap ahli keluarganya. Cuma bagi memudahkan kefahaman, tulisan ringkas ini akan fokus kepada satu isu terlebih dahulu. Iaitu siapa itu lelaki dayus yang dimaksudkan oleh Nabi SAW tidak akan masuk syurga.
Nabi SAW bersabda :-
ثلاثة لا ينظر الله عز وجل إليهم يوم القيامة: العاق لوالديه، والمترجلة، والديوث. رواه أحمد والنسائي
Ertinya : Tiga golongan yang Allah tidak akan melihat (bermakna tiada bantuan dari dikenakan azab) mereka di hari kiamat : Si penderhaka kepada ibu bapa, si perempuan yang menyerupai lelaki dan si lelaki DAYUS" ( Riwayat Ahmad & An-Nasaie: Albani mengesahkannya Sohih : Ghayatul Maram, no 278 )
Dalam sebuah hadith lain pula :
ثلاثةٌ قد حَرّمَ اللهُ - تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى - عليهم الجنةَ : مُدْمِنُ الخمر ، والعاقّ ، والدّيّوثُ الذي يُقِرُّ في أَهْلِهِ الخُبْثَ . رواه أحمد والنسائي .
Ertinya : Tiga yang telah Allah haramkan baginya Syurga : orang yang ketagih arak, si penderhaka kepada ibu bapa dan Si Dayus yang membiarkan maksiat dilakukan oleh ahli keluarganya" ( Riwayat Ahmad )
Malah banyak lagi hadith-hadith yang membawa makna yang hampir dengan dua hadith ini. Secara ringkasnya, apakah dan siapakah lelaki dayus?
ERTI DAYUS
Dayus telah disebutkan dalam beberapa riwayat athar dan hadith yang lain iaitu :-
1) Sabda Nabi : -
وعن عمار بن ياسر عن رسول الله قال ثلاثة لا يدخلون الجنة أبدا الديوث والرجلة من النساء والمدمن الخمر قالوا يا رسول الله أما المدمن الخمر فقد عرفناه فما الديوث قال الذي لا يبالي من دخل على أهله
Ertinya : Dari Ammar bin Yasir berkata, ia mendengar dari Rasulullah SAW berkata : " Tiga yang tidak memasuki syurga sampai bila-bila iaiatu Si DAYUS, si wanita yang menyerupai lelaki dan orang yang ketagih arak" lalu sahabat berkata : Wahai Rasulullah, kami telah faham erti orang yang ketagih arak, tetapi apakah itu DAYUS? , berkata nabi : "IAITU ORANG YANG TIDAK MEMPERDULIKAN SIAPA YANG MASUK BERTEMU DENGAN AHLINYA (ISTERI DAN ANAK-ANAKNYA) - ( Riwayat At-Tabrani ; Majma az-Zawaid, 4/327 dan rawinya adalah thiqat)
Dari hadith di atas, kita dapat memahami bahawa maksud lelaki DAYUS adalah si suami atau bapa yang langsung tiada perasaan risau dan ambil endah dengan siapa isteri dan anaknya bersama, bertemu, malah sebahagiannya membiarkan sahaja isterinya dan anak perempuannya dipegang dan dipeluk oleh sebarangan lelaki lain.
2) Pernah juga diriwayatkan dalam hadith lain, soalan yang sama dari sahabat tentang siapakah dayus, lalu jawab Nabi:-
قالوا يا رسول الله وما الديوث قال من يقر السوء في أهله
Ertinya : Apakah dayus itu wahai Rasulullah ?. Jawab Nabi : Iaitu seseorang ( lelaki) yang membiarkan kejahatan ( zina, buka aurat, bergaul bebas ) dilakukan oleh ahlinya ( isteri dan keluarganya)
Penerangan Ulama Tentang Lelaki Dayus
Jika kita melihat tafsiran oleh para ulama berkenaan istilah Dayus, ia adalah seperti berikut :-
هو الذي لا يغار على أهله
Ertinya : "seseorang yang tidak ada perasaan cemburu (kerana iman) terhadap ahlinya (isteri dan anak-anaknya) (An-Nihayah,2/147 ; Lisan al-Arab, 2/150)
Imam Al-‘Aini pula berkata : "Cemburu lawannya dayus" ( Umdatul Qari, 18/228 )
Berkata pula An-Nuhas :
قال النحاس هو أن يحمي الرجل زوجته وغيرها من قرابته ويمنع أن يدخل عليهن أو يراهن غير ذي محرم
Ertinya : cemburu ( iaitu lawan kepada dayus ) adalah seorang lelaki itu melindungi isterinya dan kaum kerabatnya dari ditemui dan dilihat (auratnya) oleh lelaki bukan mahram " (Tuhfatul Ahwazi, 9/357)
Disebut dalam kitab Faidhul Qadir :
فكأن الديوث ذلل حتى رأى المنكر بأهله فلا يغيره
Ertinya : Seolah-olah takrif dayus itu membawa erti kehinaan (kepada si lelaki) sehingga apabila ia melihat kemungkaran (dilakukan) oleh isteri dan ahli keluarganya ia tidak mengubahnya" ( Faidhul Qadir, 3/327 )
Imam Az-Zahabi pula berkata :-
فمن كان يظن بأهله الفاحشة ويتغافل لمحبته فيها فهو دون من يعرس عليها ولا خير فيمن لا غيرة فيه
Ertinya : Dayus adalah sesiapa yang menyangka ( atau mendapat tanda) bahawa isterinya melakukan perkara keji ( seperti zina) maka ia mengabaikannya kerana CINTAnya kepada isterinya , maka tiada kebaikan untuknya dan tanda tiada kecemburuan ( yang diperlukan oleh Islam) dalam dirinya" ( Al-Kabair, 1/62 )
Imam Ibn Qayyim pula berkata :-
قال ابن القيم وذكر الديوث في هذا وما قبله يدل على أن أصل الدين الغيرة من لا غيرة له لا دين له فالغيرة تحمي القلب فتحمى له الجوارح فترفع السوء والفواحش وعدمها يميت القلب فتموت الجوارح فلا يبقى عندها دفع البتة
Ertinya : Sesungguhnya asal dalam agama adalah perlunya rasa ambil berat (protective) atau kecemburuan ( terhadap ahli keluarga) , dan barangsiapa yang tiada perasaan ini maka itulah tanda tiada agama dalam dirinya, kerana perasaan cemburu ini menjaga hati dan menjaga anggota sehingga terjauh dari kejahatan dan perkara keji, tanpanya hati akan mati maka matilah juga sensitiviti anggota ( terhadap perkara haram), sehingga menyebabkan tiadanya kekuatan untuk menolak kejahatan dan menghindarkannya sama sekali.
Dayus adalah dosa besar
Ulama Islam juga bersetuju untuk mengkategorikan dayus ini dalam bab dosa besar, sehingga disebutkan dalam satu athar :
لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الدَّيُّوثَ ( وَاللَّعْنُ مِنْ عَلَامَاتِ الْكَبِيرَةِ فَلِهَذَا وَجَبَ الْفِرَاقُ وَحَرُمَتْ الْعِشْرَةُ)
Ertinya : Allah telah melaknat lelaki dayus ( laknat bermakna ia adalah dosa besar dan kerana itu wajiblah dipisahkan suami itu dari isterinya dan diharamkan bergaul dengannya) (Matalib uli nuha, 5/320 )
Walaupun ia bukanlah satu fatwa yang terpakai secara meluas, tetapi ia cukup untuk menunjukkan betapa tegasnya sebahagian ulama dalam hal kedayusan lelaki ini.
Petikan ini pula menunjukkan lebih dahsyatnya takrifan para ulama tentang erti dayus dan istilah yang hampir dengannya :
والقواد عند العامة السمسار في الزنى
Ertinya : Al-Qawwad ( salah satu istilah yang disama ertikan dengan dayus) di sisi umum ulama adalah broker kepada zina" (Manar as-sabil, 2/340 , rawdhatul tolibin, 8/186 )
Imam Az-Zahabi menerangkan lagi berkenaan perihal dayus dengan katanya :-
الديوث وهو الذي يعلم بالفاحشة في أهله ويسكت ولا يغار وورد أيضا أن من وضع يده على امرأة لا تحل له بشهوة
Ertinya : Dayus, iaitu lelaki yang mengetahui perkara keji dilakukan oleh ahlinya dan ia sekadar senyap dan tiada rasa cemburu ( atau ingin bertindak), dan termasuk juga ertinya adalah sesiapa yang meletakkan tangannya kepada seorang wanita yang tidak halal baginya dengan syahwat" (Al-kabair, 1/45 )
Cemburu Dituntut Islam & Jangan Marah
Ada isteri yang menyalahkan suami kerana terlalu cemburu, benar cemburu buta memang menyusahkan, memang dalam hal suami yang bertanya isteri itu dan ini menyiasat, saya nasihatkan agar isteri janganlah memarahi suami anda yang melakukan tindakan demikian dan jangan juga merasakan kecil hati sambil membuat kesimpulan bahawa suami tidak percaya kepada diri anda. Kerap berlaku, suami akan segera disalah erti sebagai ‘tidak mempunyai kepercayaan' kepada isteri.
Sebenarnya, kita perlu memahami bahawa ia adalah satu tuntutan dalam Islam dan menunjukkan anda sedang memiliki suami yang bertanggungjawab dan sedang subur imannya.
Selain itu, bergembiralah sang suami yang memperolehi isteri solehah kerana suami tidak lagi sukar untuk mengelakkan dirinya dari terjerumus dalam lembah kedayusan. Ini kerana tanpa sebarang campur tangan dan nasihat dari sang suami, isteri sudah pandai menjaga aurat, maruah dan dirinya.
Nabi SAW bersabda :
من سعادة ابن آدم المرأة الصالحة
Ertinya : "Dari tanda kebahagian anak Adam adalah memperolehi wanita solehah ( isteri dan anak)" ( Riwayat Ahmad, no 1445, 1/168 )
Memang amat beruntung, malangnya tidak mudah memperolehi isteri solehah di zaman kehancuran ini, sebagaimana sukarnya mencari suami yang tidak dayus. Sejak dulu, agak banyak juga email dari pelbagai golongan muda kepada saya menyebut tentang keterlanjuran mereka secara 'ringan' dan 'berat', mereka ingin mengetahui cara bertawbat.
'Ringan-ringan' Sebelum Kahwin
Jika seorang bapa mengetahui 'ringan-ringan' anak dan membiarkannya, ia dayus. Ingin saya tegaskan, seorang wanita dan lelaki yang telah 'ringan-ringan' atau 'terlanjur' sebelum kahwin di ketika bercinta, tanpa tawbat yang sangat serius, rumah tangga mereka pasti goyah. Kemungkinan besar apabila telah berumah tangga, si suami atau isteri ini akan terjebak juga dengan 'ringan-ringan' dengan orang lain pula.
Hanya dengan tawbat nasuha dapat menghalangkan aktiviti mungkar itu dari melepasi alam rumah tangga mereka. Seterusnya, ia akan merebak pula kepada anak-anak mereka, ini kerana benih 'ringan-ringan' dan 'terlanjur' ini akan terus merebak kepada zuriat mereka. Awas..!!
Dalam hal ini, semua suami dan ayah perlu bertindak bagi mengelakkan diri mereka jatuh dalam dayus. Jagalah zuriat anda.
Suami juga patut sekali sekala menyemak hand phone isteri, beg isteri dan lain-lain untuk memastikan tiada yang diragui. Mungkin ada isteri yang curang ini dapat menyembunyikan dosanya, tetapi sepandai-pandai tupai melompat akhirnya akan tertangkap jua. Saya tahu, pasti akan ada wanita yang kata.
"habis, kami ini tak yah check suami kami ke ustaz?"
Jawabnya, perlu juga, cuma topic saya sekarang ni sedang mencerita tanggung jawab suami. Maka perlulah saya fokus kepada tugas suami dulu ye.
Cemburu seorang suami dan ayah adalah wajib bagi mereka demi menjaga maruah dan kehormatan isteri dan anak-anaknya.
Diriwayatkan bagaimana satu peristiwa di zaman Nabi
قَالَ سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ : لَوْ رَأَيْتُ رَجُلاً مَعَ امْرَأَتِي لَضَرَبْتُهُ بِالسّيْفِ غَيْرُ مُصْفِحٍ عَنْهُ ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللّهِ صلى الله عليه على آله وسلم فَقَالَ : أَتَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ غَيْرَةِ سَعْدٍ ؟ فَوَ الله لأَنَا أَغْيَرُ مِنْهُ ، وَالله أَغْيَرُ مِنّي ، مِنْ أَجْلِ غَيْرَةِ الله حَرّمَ الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَن.
Ertinya : Berkata Ubadah bin Somit r.a : "Jika aku nampak ada lelaki yang sibuk bersama isteriku, nescaya akan ku pukulnya dengan pedangku", maka disampaikan kepada Nabi akan kata-kata Sa'ad tadi, lalu nabi memberi respond : "Adakah kamu kagum dengan sifat cemburu (untuk agama) yang dipunyai oleh Sa'ad ? , Demi Allah, aku lebih kuat cemburu (ambil endah dan benci demi agama) berbandingnya, malah Allah lebih cemburu dariku, kerana kecemburuan Allah itulah maka diharamkan setiap perkara keji yang ternyata dan tersembunyi.. " ( Riwayat Al-Bukhari & Muslim )
Lihat betapa Allah dan RasulNya inginkan para suami dan ayah mempunyai sifat protective kepada ahli keluarga dari melakukan sebarang perkara keji dan mungkar, khasnya zina.
BILA LELAKI MENJADI DAYUS?
Secara mudahnya cuba kita lihat betapa ramainya lelaki akan menjadi DAYUS apabila :-
1) Membiarkan kecantikan aurat, bentuk tubuh isterinya dinikmati oleh lelaki lain sepanjang waktu pejabat (jika bekerja) atau di luar rumah.
2) Membiarkan isterinya balik lewat dari kerja yang tidak diketahui bersama dengan lelaki apa dan siapa, serta apa yang dibuatnya di pejabat dan siapa yang menghantar.
3) Membiarkan aurat isterinya dan anak perempuannya dewasanya terlihat (terselak kain) semasa menaiki motor atau apa jua kenderaan sepanjang yang menyebabkan aurat terlihat.
4) Membiarkan anak perempuannya ber'dating' dengan tunangnya atau teman lelaki bukan mahramnya.
5) Membiarkan anak perempuan berdua-duaan dengan pasangannya di rumah kononnya ibu bapa 'spoting' yang memahami.
6) Menyuruh, mengarahkan dan berbangga dengan anak perempuan dan isteri memakai pakaian yang seksi di luar rumah.
7) Membiarkan anak perempuannya memasuki akademi fantasia, mentor, gang starz dan lain-lain yang sepertinya sehingga mempamerkan kecantikan kepada jutaan manusia bukan mahram.
8) Membiarkan isterinya atau anaknya menjadi pelakon dan berpelukan dengan lelaki lain, kononnya atas dasar seni dan lakonan semata-mata. Adakah semasa berlakon nafsu seorang lelaki di hilangkan?. Tidak sekali-sekali.
9) Membiarkan isteri kerja dan keluar rumah tanpa menutup aurat dengan sempurna.
10) Membiarkan isteri disentuh anggota tubuhnya oleh lelaki lain tanpa sebab yang diiktoraf oleh Islam seperti menyelematkannya dari lemas dan yang sepertinya.
11) Membiarkan isterinya bersalin dengan dibidani oleh doktor lelaki tanpa terdesak dan keperluan yang tiada pilihan.
12) Membawa isteri dan anak perempuan untuk dirawati oleh doktor lelaki sedangkan wujudnya klinik dan hospital yang mempunyai doktor wanita.
13) Membiarkan isteri pergi kerja menumpang dengan teman lelaki sepejabat tanpa sebarang cemburu.
14) Membiarkan isteri kerap berdua-duan dengan pemandu kereta lelaki tanpa sebarang pemerhatian.
Terlalu banyak lagi jika ingin saya coretkan di sini. Kedayusan ini hanya akan sabit kepada lelaki jika semua maksiat yang dilakukan oleh isteri atau anaknya secara terbuka dan diketahui olehnya, adapun jika berlaku secara sulit, suami tidaklah bertanggungjawab dan tidak sabit 'dayus' kepad dirinya.
Mungkin kita akan berkata dalam hati :-
" Jika demikian, ramainya lelaki dayus di kelilingku"
Lebih penting adalah kita melihat, adakah kita sendiri tergolong dalam salah satu yang disebut tadi.
Awas wahai lelaki beriman..jangan kita termasuk dalam golongan yang berdosa besar ini.
Wahai para isteri dan anak-anak perempuan, jika anda sayangkan suami dan bapa anda, janganlah anda memasukkan mereka dalam kategori DAYUS yang tiada ruang untuk ke syurga Allah SWT.
Sayangilah dirimu dan keluargamu. Jagalah dirimu dan keluargamu dari api neraka.
Akhirnya, wahai para suami dan ayah, pertahankan agama isteri dan keluargamu walau terpaksa bermatian kerananya. Nabi SAW bersabda :
من قتل دون أهله فهو شهيد
Ertinya : "Barangsiapa yang mati dibunuh kerana mempertahankan ahli keluarganya, maka ia adalah mati syahid" ( Riwayat Ahmad , Sohih menurut Syeikh Syuaib Arnout)
Kampong Lorong Buah Pala, Bukit Glugor, Penang facing demolition tomorrow?
Kampong Lorong Buah Pala, Bukit Glugor,Penang.
Another century old traditional village back in my home island that faces demolition and which is being contested by its villagers who claim to have the right to stay put based upon the verbal deed given to their forefathers by the land owner, Margaret Helen Brown that they whose forefathers were her workers have the right to live there as long as they wish!
Today, the village is being threatened with eviction by developer Nusmetro Group which has plans to develop the land upon which the village stands into a plush condominium project, The Oasis.
As usual, it is always those who are poor and weak who become the victims of those who have the means and the connections to power and authority.
In the video above produced by Citizen Journalist Jimmy Leow who has interviewed the Kampong Lorong Buah Pala residents and highlighted a meeting between the villagers and 'Pakatan Rakyat' PKR State Representative for N35 Batu Uban YB Raveentheran V. Subramaniam, a difference of opinions prevails.
As you can see the residents and the State Representative aren't exactly seeing eye to eye about the matter where the villagers want to stay put but the State Representative is talking about moving out compensation dollars and cents as if that is the issue?
The Penang 2nd Deputy Chief Minister Professor P.Ramasamy is warning Nusmetro not to bully the residents by bulldozing them off the land as reported here but I am afraid that at the end of the day, it is the villagers of Kampong Lorong Buah Pala or the High Chapparral cow rearers who will be on the losing end if they become disunited in the process of fighting to save their century old trust village!
The Star Online has also reported about this case here.
The villagers had won their case in the Penang High Court in October, 2008 but Nusmetro successfully appealed against the court decision and now the D-Day for the villagers to move out looms nearer!
The Court of Appeals had given them 30 days to vacate the village on May the 11th last month!
The D-Day is tomorrow, the 11th of June, 2009!
What is the fate of Kampong Lorong Buah Pala, Bukit Glugor, Penang?
Will the DAP top guns as stated by one of the irate villagers in the video above who had promised the villagers that their eviction will take place only over the DAP politicians dead bodies come to be or will it as always just be another 'political opera'?
Let's see what happens, eh?
Discussing Islam's position under the Malaysian Federal Constitution
Moving forward to strengthen the position of Islam UNDER the Federal Constitution
by
Hj. Mohamed Haniff Khatri Abdulla1
Hj. Abdul Rahim Sinwan2
Azril Mohd Amin3
This paper intends to discuss the position of Islam within the Federal Constitution with regards to matrimonial disputes involving non-Muslim couples, married under the civil law, wherein one of the spouses converts to Islam. It will be proposed throughout this paper that the approach in resolving the nature of these disputes shall be by applying the necessary Syariah principles through the Syariah Court system, as opposed to the Civil law system. It will also be proposed that this approach is within the literal as well as spiritual intent of our Federal Constitution.
The first reference made would be Article 3 (1)4 of the Federal Constitution, wherein Islam is stated as the religion of the Federation, but other religions may be practiced in peace and harmony in any part of the Federation. It is submitted that the phrase “Islam is the religion of the Federation” is not a symbolic statement. The Federal Constitution is not written for the purpose of a mere declaration.
The Constitution is written in order to be given life. It is an organic document which needs to be interpreted, applied and set to administer and serve the evolving needs of our society. It is a declaration and intention of the constitution of our country, that Islam as the religion of the Federation must be applied whenever permissible and applicable to allow Muslims to be governed by their Islamic laws. It should be noted, that this provision found in Article 3(1), is in no way against the rights of the non-Muslims of our country to practice their own religion pursuant to Article 11(1).
The real meaning and application of Article 3(1) has been clarified on various occasions by our courts. First and foremost, the High Court decision in Meor Atiqulrahman v Fatimah Sihi and others5, reported in 2000, wherein the then Justice Mohd Noor Abdullah stated;
“Islam ialah ugama bagi persekutuan tapi ugama-ugama lain boleh diamalkan dalam aman dan damai. Islam adalah ugama utama di antara ugama-ugama lain yang dianuti di negara seperti Kristian, Buddha, Hindu. Islam bukan setaraf dengan ugama lain. bukan duduk berganding bahu dengan agama lain atau berdiri sama sama tegak. Ia duduk di atas, berjalan dahulu, terletak di tempat medan, dan suaranya lantang kedengaran. Islam ibarat pokok jati. Tinggi, teguh, dan terang. Jika bukan sedemikian, Islam bukanlah ugama bagi persekutuan, tetapi adalah salah satu di antara beberapa ugama yang dianuti di wilayah ini, dan setiap orang sama-sama bebas mengamalkan mana-mana ugama yang dianuti. Tiada lebih di antara satu sama lain.”
This decision of the High Court undeniably was overruled by the Court of Appeal and thereafter by the Federal Court. However, that above-quoted portion of the High Court judgment was never reversed or expunged. In fact the decision of the Court of Appeal and the Federal Court was based on some other issues independent to the position of Islam vis-à-vis Article 3(1).
Then Abdul Hamid, the Federal Court Judge decided the issue in that case6, i.e. whether or not a Muslim boy can wear the serban to school, on his finding as to whether wearing a serban is a prescribed sunnah under the Islamic principles. His Lordship on his own volition and conclusion decided that wearing a serban is not a prescribed sunnah. Hence he decided that it was not a religious duty or obligation under any Islamic principles for a Muslim boy to put on a serban to school. In no way did the Federal Court (and even the Court of Appeal) decide that the High Court judgement on the position of Islam vis-à-vis article 3(1) was incorrect. In fact, the very reason that the Federal Court had to go into its own finding as to whether wearing a serban is a sunnah or not itself, is opined, is due to the recognition of the Federal Court as to the position of Islam under article 3(1).
Secondly, even in the case of Lina Joy v Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan7, the then Chief Justice, Yang Amat Arif Tun Ahmad Fairus said:
“Islam itu bukan sahaja suatu himpunan dogma-dogma dan ritual-ritual tetapi ianya juga suatu cara hidup yang lengkap merangkumi semua bidang aktiviti manusia, persendirian dan awam, perundangan, politik, ekonomi, sosial, budaya, moral atau kehakiman etc”
In fact, his lordship found strength on the position of Islam by referring to a portion of the controversial decision of Che Omar bin Che Soh vs PP8, in which case even Tun Salleh Abbas in a portion of that judgment did recognize that Islam is a complete way of life. However, Tun Salleh Abas, unfortunately then went on to make certain glaring errors in his judgment which shall be addressed later in this discussion.
In order to further understand this topic in question, it must be approached by way of posing certain questions.
FIRST QUESTION
Firstly, if the position of Islam as the religion of the Federation is to be taken in the position as discussed earlier herein, would that make our Constitution an Islamic Constitution, or would it be made a secular constitution? The answer is: it is neither. It is a hybrid Constitution which allows Muslims what Islam requires them to practice where there are clear principles of Syarak confirmed by learned Islamic scholars. This means, that a Muslim has the undisputed right to demand and claim the government authorities to allow him/ her to be administered by hukum syarak, where there is a clear Islamic principle on that issue.
It would be timely now to refer to an article written by Muhammad Imam in 1994 with regards to the meaning and intent of Article 3(1) which is as follows9:
“Article 3 (1) is not a mere declaration. But it imposes positive obligation on the Federation to protect, defend, promote Islam and to give effect by appropriate state action, to the injunction of Islam and able to facilitate and encourage people to hold their life according to the Islamic injunction, spiritual and daily life.”
SECOND QUESTION
Coming back to the topic under discussion it would be timely to pose a second question, which is, are there recognized specific Islamic principles pertaining to matrimonial disputes in relation to a non-Muslim couple wherein one spouse converts to Islam? The answer to this question is in the affirmative.
Islamic scholars have provided sufficient guidance with regards to the various principle of Islam (hukum syarak) in this area of dispute, and some of the undisputed principles are as follows:
In a situation involving a non-Muslim marriage, where one of the spouse converts to Islam, their marriage automatically dissolves upon the expiry of the iddah period, if the other spouse does not convert to Islam. [Al-Mumtahanah: 1010.]
In a situation, where the wife does not convert into Islam following her husband, upon the expiry of the iddah period she shall then lose the right to claim maintenance from her converted husband, unless she is pregnant, in which latter event her maintenance shall be provided for until the delivery. [Ath-Thalaaq: 6.11]
In such a situation of conversion by one spouse, the husband still bears the responsibilities of sustaining the children until the age of majority. [Al-Baqarah: 233.12]
Also, in relation to conversion into Islam by one spouse, the religion of the children below the Muslim age of majority is automatically considered to be a Muslim upon the conversion of one of the spouse. The authors are guided by Tan Sri Syeikh Ghazali Abdul Rahman with regards to the necessary dalil on this issue as reported in Berita Harian 15th May 2009,wherein Tan Sri Syeikh Ghazali Abdul Rahman13 referred to the dalil in [Al-Thur: 2114] which answers this situation as follows:
“Dan orang yang beriman dan diikuti oleh zuriat keturunan mereka dalam keimanan, Kami hubungkan zuriat keturunan itu dengan mereka (di dalam syurga) dan Kami tidak mengurangi sedikitpun daripada pahala amalan mereka. Setiap manusia terikat dengan amal yang dikerjakan.”
The above quoted dalil has been taken by Mazhab Syafie15 as a strong dalil pertaining to the automatic conversion of the children below the Muslim age of majority where one of the spouse converts to Islam.
Hence to conclude the answer to the second question posed hereinabove, it is beyond doubt that there are confirmed Islamic principles (hukum syarak) on these issues in dispute. Hence it is the undeniable right for the Muslims to insist that they be governed by these Islamic principles, which of course in the nature of this dispute would be with the non Muslim. In fact all of the above stated principles clearly cater for such a situation of conversion into Islam by a non Muslim under a civil law marriage. And it is in this scenario the authors would state that the Muslim can demand the Federation to allow him to be governed by Islamic principles despite the other party being a non Muslim.
THIRD QUESTION
This discussion will not be complete without answering a third question herein which is as follows. Is there any remedy available for non Muslims under Islamic principles?
Again it is undeniable and guided by Islamic scholars that a non Muslim retains the right to various remedies even by the importation of Islamic principles in the resolution of these disputes.
There are sufficient dalils to state that a non Muslim spouse could still claim custody of his/ her children even though the child upon conversion of one of the parents becomes a Muslim. Of course the non Muslim parent would as required even from the Muslim parent, put forward his or her case as evidence to support the claim. The judge would then have to decide based on the facts and evidence and in appropriate cases can grant custody of the Muslim children to non Muslim parent. Hence the argument by opponents to this view that there is no remedy available for a non Muslim under Islamic law (hukum Syarak) holds no water at all.
The fault of the misconception that there is no remedy available to the non Muslim under the Islamic law to a large extent lies on us the Muslim community. One should ask, to what extent has the necessary authorities, scholars, Muslim groups or even Muslim individuals has done to disseminate correct information of Islam and Islamic principles to our non Muslim, (and to a certain extent even to our Muslim brothers) as to the existence and availability of such remedies for the non Muslims. Had we been efficient on this issue over the 50 odd years of independence would it not have helped elevate the fear among the non Muslims in seeking to address their grievances under the Islamic principles (hukum syarak) in the Syariah courts?
FOURTH QUESTION : WHAT ABOUT SCHEDULE 9 LIST 2 PARA 1?
The authors would stress that there is a certain portion within our constitution which would appear to be in contradiction to Article 3(1). That provision is Schedule 9 List 2 para 1. A reference to this provision which is a schedule, as opposed to a main article will show that we have closed our own doors to non Muslims, in direct opposition to the Islamic principles. As already discussed earlier it is a duty of the Islamic court to determine a dispute involving overlapping rights between Muslims and non Muslims, especially in this area of matrimonial dispute. Hence it would appear that strict compliance or adherence to Schedule 9 List 2 para 1, i.e. confining the jurisdiction of the Syariah courts where both parties are Muslims in itself is in opposition to the Islamic law (hukum syarak) and therefore ultra vires to Article 3(1) of the Federal constitution.
This problematic content of Schedule 9 List 2 para 1 has been translated as a pre condition into the various State enactments governing the jurisdiction of the various State Syariah courts. Is it fair for us to preach about allowing the Muslims to be governed by the Islamic principles in this area of dispute and yet shutting the door into the face of the non Muslims from coming to the Syariah Courts? Not only it is unfair, it is also clearly unconstitutional.
The Constitution must be amended to remove this limitation from Schedule 9 List 2 para 1, especially in the area where the dispute concerns the overlapping rights between the Muslims and non Muslims. Thereon the necessary provisions in the State Enactments pertaining to this limitation of the right of the non Muslims to appear before the Syariah court must also be removed.
Schedules to a Constitution which are inconsistent or clearly disharmonious with the main Articles in a Constitution are ultra vires. The authority for this proposition can be found in the judgment of Yang Amat Arif Richard Malanjun CJ Borneo in the Federal Court case of Lina Joy, when Yang Arif Richard Malanjun declared Legislative Lists in Schedule 9 of the Federal Constitution16 is ultra vires to the constitution. (Para 52 & 53)
“Just as any legislation or any part thereof will be struck down if it fails to conform with any of the provisions of the Constitution so too with administrative, departmental and executive discretions, policies and decisions. In other words they too must not infringe any of the provisions of the Constitution. (See: PP v. Su Liang Yu [1978] 2 MLJ 79; Madhavan Nair v. PP [1975] 264). In addition, administrative, departmental and executive discretions, policies and decisions must also be within the ambit of the enabling legislations otherwise they too will be struck down for being ultra vires the legislations. (See: Ghazali v. PP [1964] 30 MLJ 159). Of course it goes without saying that the enabling legislation must also be in conformity with the provisions of the Constitution. (See:PP v. Mohamed Ismail (supra)).
In order to supervise and monitor the exercise of administrative, departmental or executive discretions our courts have followed with modifications where necessary the legal principles pronounced by the courts in other common law jurisdictions. For instance, to be valid administrative, departmental or executive discretions must not suffer any of the three categories of legal infirmities, namely, illegality, irrationality and procedural impropriety. (See: CCSU v. Minister for the Civil Service [1984] 3 All ER 935; Persatuan Aliran Kesederaran Negara v. Minister of Home Affairs [1988] 1 MLJ 442).”
FIFTH QUESTION
It would now be timely to pose a fifth question in this discussion, which is: Can the nature of this matrimonial dispute on conversion of a spouse be resolved by amending the necessary provisions of the Law Reform Act (LRA) inclusive of section 51,17 to compel the Muslim spouse to put up his or her claim pursuant to Civil law in the Civil Courts? The answer to this question is simple; if we were to do that i.e. to amend the LRA in order to compel the Muslims to take these disputes to the Civil Courts, it would be depriving the Muslims from insisting their right under article 3(1). Hence such proposed amendments to the LRA would clearly be ultra vires article 3(1) of Federal Constitution.
It would also be shambolic to do so in the light of the fact that the position of Islam during our colonial times and at the time of the inception of the Federation had always recognized and maintained application of Islamic law to the Muslims. Dato’ Hishamuddin Yunus18 in his article published in the Current Law Journal had very lucidly gone through the various treaties and laws passed by the British over the period of time governing their relationship in the Federated Malay States, Unfederated Malay States and even in the proposed Malayan Union in which the British had always maintained the position of Islam as the local law to be applicable to the Muslims and to be administered as an independent and separate system of law parallel with the laws passed by them. One need not go further than in the famous case of Laton binti Malim Sultan and Ramah binti Taat 192719, wherein Justice Thorne J had pronounced that Islamic law is a local law of this land which the normal courts must take judicial notice of the same. Hence how would one be able to argue that 50 years after our independence we need to push back the position of Islam backwards, far back from what it was even during colonial times. Surely by doing so the whole purpose and intent of the amendments to Article 121 (1A)20 would be defeated and sacrificed. Before the authors goes on to the other point in this discussion it is pertinent to note that the application of the actual Islamic principles (hokum syarak) can be found in various old Islamic enactments, which do not necessarily appear in the current Islamic enactment. As an example the old enactment of Undang-undang Pentadbiran Agama Islam Negeri Selangor No.3 Tahun 195221 provided for the confirmation that children out of a non Muslim marriage will automatically be confirmed to be Muslims upon the conversion into Islam of one of the spouse. It is a mystery as how these provisions which were in accordance with our actual Islamic principles have been eroded over the period of time to the extent that the current the Enactments prescribed for the converting parent to further carry out by conversion of the children, i.e. the children are not automatically Muslims. It is feared that if this trend is not put to a halt then we may find the position of Islam under Article 3(1) become illusory.
SIXTH QUESTION
Sixthly, is the Civil law marriage a contract, and if it is so should not the dispute between the parties upon conversion to Islam by one spouse be governed by the Civil law? The answer to the above question would require one to familiarize oneself with all the principles existing in the law of contract which includes the principles of frustration. In contract, the happening of a supervening event can determine the relationship of parties to a contract and cease the operation of the terms of contract agreed upon between the parties thereafter. Similarly, if Civil law marriage is a contract, then conversion of one spouse into Islam is the supervening event causing the frustration of the contract. Therefore, as night follows day, the non Muslim spouse cannot hold the converting spouse to be bound to the terms of the Civil law marriage.
SEVENTH QUESTION
What about the decision of the case of Che Omar?
On 29.2.1988, a corum of five members of the Supreme Court set to hear an appeal against the mandatory death sentence passed against the Appellants therein, who were charged under the drug trafficking offence and the Fire Arms (Increased Penalty) Act, respectively.
In the course of dismissing the respective appeals, wherein it was argued that the imposition of the death penalty on these offences, not being “hudud” or “qisas” according to Islamic Law, is contrary to Islamic injunction and is therefore unconstitutional vis-à-vis Article 3(1) of FC, His Lordship Tun Salleh Abas, LP had correctly in the initial portion of his judgment defined the meaning of “Islam“ or “Islamic religion” in Article 3(1), of FC, at pages 55-56 as follows:
“The first point to consider here is the meaning which could be given to the expression “Islam” or “Islamic religion” in Article 3 of the Constitution. If the religion of Islam in the context means only such acts as relate to rituals and ceremonies, the argument has no basis whatsoever. On the other hand, if the religion of Islam or Islam itself is an all-embracing concept, as is normally understood, which consists not only the ritualistic aspect but also comprehensive system of life, including its jurisprudence and moral standard, then the submission has a great implication in that every law has to be tested according to this yardstick.
There can be no doubt that Islam is not just a mere collection of dogmas and rituals but it is a complete way of life covering all field of human activities, may they be private or public, legal, political, economic, social, cultural, moral or judicial…”
Even though His Lordship had correctly defined the meaning of “Islam” or “Islamic religion”, His Lordship made two grave errors in the rest of his judgment, which had erroneously limited the actual scope and effect of Article 3(1) FC, the errors of which are as follows:
First, His Lordship had wrongfully and unnecessarily posed a question to be answered that “was this (his earlier definition of “Islam” or “Islamic religion”) the meaning intended by the framers of the Constitution?
Second, His Lordship, then, in answering his self posed question, and upon the summarisation of the “history” of Islam pre-merdeka then wrongfully concluded at page 56:
“Thus, it can be seen that during the British colonial period, through their system of indirect rule and establishment of secular institutions, Islamic law was rendered isolated in a narrow confinement of the law of marriage, divorce, and inheritance only…”
There was no necessity for His Lordship, upon defining the meaning of “Islam’ and “Islamic religion” to then ask the question as framed above for reasons as follows:
It is trite, in constructing and interpreting meaning of a word used in the Constitution, the ordinary meaning of the word must be applied, unless there is clear ambiguity. The definition of the meaning of “Islam” and “Islamic religion” as His Lordship correctly made in above does not leave any room for ambiguity. Hence, there was no need to enter a ‘circuitous excalibus’ exercise to look for the meaning intended by the framers.
The said exercise to look for the meaning intended by the framers, itself is in violation of Article 11(3)22 of FC which states:
“Every religious group has the right – (a) to manage its own religious affairs;”
Hence, meaning of “Islam” and “Islamic religion” must be according to what Islam is. It definitely cannot be as what the non-Muslim framers intended it to be.
Tun Salleh Abbas committed the second error for reasons as follows:
His Lordship’s summarisation of the “history” as to the position of Islam pre Merdeka is in error as submitted with reference to the article written by Yang Arif Dato’ Mohd Hishamuddin Bin Mohd Yunus in his article titled An Essay On The Constitutional History of Malaysia (Part 1).
Tun Salleh Abbas also committed a further error in limiting the definition of Islam under Article 3(1) of FC, by personally making his own findings as to what Islam is meant to be, when in fact, it is for the scholars of Islam to decide (refer Ramah Taat v Laton Malim Sutan 6 FMSLR (1927) 128.
Furthermore, Che Omar was decided on 29.2.1988, prior to the coming into effect of Article 121(1A) of FC on 10.6.1988. Hence, had Article 121 (1A) of FC been placed before His Lordship Tun Salleh Abas, His Lordship would not have entered into the exercise as to find the meaning of Islam as intended by the framers, but would have passed it on to the Syariah courts to do the same, as required under Article 121(1A) of FC.
For the reasons as above stated, the Supreme Court decision in Che Omar is no longer good law. Hence the courts in Malaysia must allow Article 3(1) of FC to break away of from the shackles of Che Omar.
On the same basis, any argument that the Federal Court decision in Meor Atiqulrahman Ishak & Ors v. Fatimah Sihi & Ors [2006] 4 CLJ 1 which had referred to the Che Omar’s decision, has therefore approved and restated the position of Che Omar post 10.6.1988, would be an error since the Federal Court in Meor Atiqulrahman did never discuss the merits or demerits in Che Omar’s decision, as done here. The courts in Malaysia are free to depart from the position taken in Che Omar and Meor Atiqulrahman.
Also, we must look at all the state enactments in the state, to remove the provisions that both parties need to be Islam. Unless it is amended, our state enactment will be against our Islamic principles. How are we to call ourselves an Islamic authority, Islamic Court and governed by Islamic principles, when our own enactment is unislamic.
It is time, for the various authorities inclusive of Majlis-Majlis Agama and Jabatan-Jabatan Agama, to carry out the position of Islam as it is under Article 3(1) of the Constitution. By amending the necessary provisions and clarifying the position of Islam with the rest in the society, so that it is understand that there is no deprivation of non-Muslim right in the Islamic court.
Syariah court should be brave enough to make a fair decision when the non-Muslim right prevails. They must be made the custodian of the children when they are befitting to be the custodian, of course with certain conditions, such as for the Majlis to supervise the education of the child and to ensure that the child is given proper Islamic teachings from their parent. This must be discussed, studied and implemented as soon as possible in order to prevent any further conflict.
The current position of the law itself does not require any amendment if it is apply properly to the issue of religion and contrary of religion upon conversion by one spouse. The Federal Court in Subashini Rajasingam v. Saravanan Thangathoray & Other Appeal (supra), wherein His Lordship Nik Hashim FCJ stated in judgment at pages 33 – 34 as follows:
“… The word ‘parent’ in art. 12(4) of the FC, which states that the religion of a person under the age of 18 years shall be decided by his parent or guardian, means a single parent. In Teoh Eng Huat v. The Kahdi of Pasir Mas, Kelantan & Anor [1990] 1 CLJ (Rep) 277), Abdul Hamid Omar LP, delivering the judgment of the Supreme Court, said at p 14 (p. 280):
In all the circumstances, we are of the view that in the wider interest of the nation, no infant shall have the automatic right to receive instructions relating to any other religion that his own without the permission of the parent or guardian.
Further down, his Lordship continued:
We would observe that the appellant (the father) would have been entitled to the declaration he had asked for. However, we decline to make such declaration as the subject is no longer an infant. (emphasis added)
Therefore, art. 12(4) must not be read as entrenching the right to choice of religion in both parents. That being so, art 8 is not violated as the right for the parent to convert the child to Islam applies in a situation where the converting spouse is the wife as in Nedunchelian, supra, and as such, the argument that both parents are vested with the equal right to choose is misplace. Hence the conversion of the elder son to Islam by the husband albeit under the Selangor Enactment did not violate the FC. Also reliance cannot be placed on s. 5 of the Guardianship of Infants Act 1961 which provides for equality of parental rights since s. 1(3) of the same Act has prohibited the application of the act to such person like the husband who is now a Muslim. (Shamala Sathiyaseelan v Dr Jayaganesh C Mogarajah & Anor [2004] 2 CLJ 416)…”
It is therefore, our submission that the interpretation of the word parent in Article 12 (4) FC to mean a single parent is the correct position in law, hence the conversion of the three children into Islam is not ultra vires the Constitution.
Furthermore Article 8 of FC has no bearing to this argument since the right for the parent to convert the child to Islam applies even in a situation, where the converting spouse is the wife (as in the case of Nenduchelian above referred), and therefore the argument on gender bias is misconceived.
Also, reliance cannot be placed on Section 5 of GIA which refers to equality on parental right since Section 1 (3) (b) of GIA has prohibited the application of the Act to such person upon him professing the religion of Islam, as well as the subject matter (the three children) themselves being “Muslims”.
Hence, at the very least, rather than amending the Law Reform Act, to compel the Muslims to go to the civil courts, this area of dispute, need no amendments.
In summary, the authors submit the following recommendations:
- For the Government to advocate an approach consistent with the position of Islam in the Federal Constitution, which allows Muslims what Islam requires them to practice where there are clear principles of Syarak confirmed by learned Islamic scholars;
- For the Government to amend a certain provisions in the Federal Constitution to allow non Muslims to appear before the Syariah Court in determining any disputes involving overlapping rights between Muslims and non Muslims; and
- Amendments if made to section 51 should be allowed only to the extent of making it administrative. This is only to allow the non Muslim spouse to go and obtain a decree made absolute so as to allow the non Muslim spouse to continue with his/ her life. All ancillary reliefs are to be sought at Syariah Court.
Silat Seni Gayong Pusaka ~ Warisan Kepahlawanan Melayu
Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
Bilamana menonton video diatas terkenang kembali zaman hamba berguru dengan Tok Guru Hj Ahmad semasa di Jelutong Timur, Pulau Pinang.
Gelanggang Perguruan Persilatan Pasak Padang kami di padang Sekolah Kebangsaan Jelutong.
Sama macam tradisi ilmu persilatan lain, kami juga melalui upacara mandi minyak panas, kena hentak dengan tukul besi memecah bata diatas kepala, kena cucuh dengan batang pesi paip yang membakar merah menyala, kena uji dengan macam macam ujian termasuk turun mendaki bukit ditengah malam tanpa beralas kaki ataupun bersenjata dan tanpa sumber cahaya dian atau lampu suluh mencari keris Tok Guru yang tercacak di kubur lama berhampiran Bukit Bendera dan turun ke Kebun Bunga.
Ada seribu satu kenangan lain yang akan saya ceritakan dilain kali. Insya Allah!
Ini semua peristiwa lama, semasa muda remaja. Sekarang ini hanya tinggal kenangan sahaja semua kejadian kejadian bersejarah didalam kehidupan hamba.
Harapan saya agar anak muda sekarang akan sadar keperluan melengkapkan diri dengan ilmu kepahlawanan Melayu asli.
Jika tidak akan hilang segala ilmu persilatan ini ditelan zaman. Pemuda pemudi sekarang asyik dengan budaya hiburan memanjang sehingga sudah ramai yang tidak kenal dengan warisan seni mempertahankan diri pusaka bangsa.
Sayang sekali bilamana anak bangsa sekarang lebih gemar mengikuti seni luar seperti capoiera, tae kwan do, karate, dsbnya tetapi buta terhadap warisan sendiri.
Apakah tidak malu dengan orang barat yang datang mempelajari ilmu persilatan dari guru guru kita?
Tidak meremang ke bulu tengkok mendengar tiupan serunai dan gendang perang Melayu?
Tidak berderau kah darah menggelegak memanaskan jatidiri melihat persembahan silat kita dinegara luar?
Saya menyeru anak anak muda yang menonton video ini supaya tidak ketinggalan didalam memperkasakan diri dengan ilmu persilatan yang tuanhamba pilih demi untuk bersiap sedia mempertahankan diri, keluarga tercinta dan tanahair tanah tumpah darah kita dari ancaman musuh durjana!
4 Jemputan Kenduri Kahwin didalam sehari ~ Rekod Peribadi
Sambungan dari artikel sebelum ini ~ Mukadimah Kembara Kenduri Kahwin di Kuantan, Pahang.
Memang tak pernah terfikir akan berada didalam keadaan sebegini. Memenuhi 4 jemputan ke majlis perkahwinan sanak saudara sebelah isteri saya didalam hari yang sama.
6hb Jun 2009. Cuti umum sempena sambutan hari keputeraan rasmi Duli Yang Maha Mulia Seri Paduka Baginda, Tuanku Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, Yang Di Pertuan Agong ke 13 Malaysia.
Terasa seperti di zaman kanak kanak, pergi beraya ke rumah itu dan ini. Cumanya kali ini pergi menunaikan tuntutan fardhu kifayah iaitu meraikan pengantin baru. 4 pasangan pulak tu!
Jemputan pertama adalah majlis perkahwinan anak sepupu biras saya. Tak sempat nak jumpa pengantin. Jumpa ayah dia sahaja. Kg.Pelindung, Beserah, Kuantan.
Selepas bersalam dan mengucap tahniah kepada tuan rumah, kami bergegas ke jemputan kenduri yang kedua. Di Jalan Alor Akar, Kuantan.
Pengantin perempuan adalah anak kepada sepupu isteri saya . Semoga berbahagia hendaknya kedua mempelai yang sama cantik, sama sepadan. Insya Allah!
Kami kemudian pergi memenuhi jemputan majlis kenduri perkahwinan ke3 di Taman Cenderawasih, Kuantan.
Bayangkan ada 6 majlis perkahwinan dikawasan yang sama! Mujur ada diletak banner mengiklankan pasangan mana yang sedang mengadakan majlis mereka disitu. Macam banner peminat AF saja, siap dengan gambar lagi! Hehehehehe...
Semoga berkekalan hendaknya jodoh mereka ini dan dikurniakan Ilahi dengan cahayamata yang akan menyambung warisan keturunan mereka, Insya Allah.
Singgahan seterusnya adalah di Kampong Jawa, Kuantan. Dua pasangan bermajlis nikah di situ. Anak saudara biras saya Haji Jamil. Tema majlis biru segala. Siap dengan agar agar biru lagi. :P
Bagaikan pinang dibelah dua. Semoga kekal bahagia aman sentosa selamanya. Amin.
Ini pengantin lelaki kedua didalam majlis yang sama. Isteri beliau sedang menunaikan fardhu solat ketika saya bergambar bersamanya. Semoga selamat selamanya pasangan muda ini.
Saya sengaja tidak mahu menamakan pengantin pengantin baru ini diatas tujuan keselamatan.
Suasana dunia blogging sekarang ini tidak lagi selamat bagi kita mendedahkan maklumat peribadi ahli keluarga kita kerana ramai petualang didalam dunia siber ini sudah tidak segan silu menyerang peribadi bloggers lain dan juga mengancam keselamatan ahli keluarga mereka seperti kes yang berlaku baru baru ini pada Rusdi Mustapha yang dilaporkan Rocky Bru disini.
Inilah sebab utama kenapa saya jarang menyiarkan apa apa gambar ahli keluarga saya. Demi menjaga keselamatan mereka. Bagi saya, kesejahteraan ahli keluarga saya amat saya utamakan!!! 'Family comes first!'
Walau apa pun, marilah kita bersama sama mendoakan pasangan pasangan pengantin baru kita ini dengan harapan mereka semua akan berbahagia, hidup dengan rukun dan aman damai bersama sama pasangan tercinta.
Amin. Ya Rabbal Alamin.
Mukadimah Kembara Kenduri Kahwin di Kuantan, Pahang
Assalamualaikum.
Apakabar semua? Harap harap berkeadaan baik dan selamat disamping keluarga tercinta. Insya Allah!
Bagi saya suami isteri, kini kami sedang berada di Kuantan, kampong orang rumah saya.
Memang jenuh memenuhi jemputan kenduri kahwin musim cuti sekolah ini.
Bayangkan saja ada 4 jemputan kenduri kahwin saudara di Kuantan pada hari ini, Sabtu 6hb Jun 2009.
Ini jemputan kahwin saudara belah isteri saya. Mahu tak mahu mesti dipenuhi sebab memang di tuntut didalam ajaran agama kita.
Maka semalam, kami suami isteri pun bertolak dari ibunegara menuju Pantai Timur. Mujur dah buat tempahan awal bilik hotel yang kami selalu menginap semasa bercuti ke sini atau balik kampong.
Saya ni memang tak suka memandu laju semasa di lebuhraya maka saya memandu secara santai sahaja di sepanjang Lebuhraya Pantai Timur.
Ramai juga warga kota yang sama setujuan dengan kami berbondong bondong memenuhi lebuhraya menuju ke destinasi masing masing.
Semasa singgah di Rehat & Rawat Temerloh, saya sempat mengambil gambar beberapa bayi yang comel comel sebagai kenangan. Ini gambar si comel comel tersebut.
Bila dia sedar diri sedang di ambil gambar, maka terus hendak mengelakkan diri sama seperti artis yang tak hendak glamor gitu ~ hehehehe. Minta maaf le ~ dah terlewat! :D
Ini pula adegan bayi dah kepanasan!
Bapa dia tengah melayan sebab dah berbolen ha...disebabkan panas sangat! Untung juga jadi bayi, berbolen pun orang tak kisah! Nampak comel lagi.....
Hahahaha...cuba yang dah tua ikut berbolen...ha! Kena hantar ke wad gila gamaknya? :P
Cuaca memang panas terik sepanjang perjalanan. Syukurlah ada pendingin hawa didalam kereta, tak le terasa sangat bahang sepanjang perjalanan.
Sesampai kami di bandar Kuantan, saya nampak sebuah ambulans Polis Di Raja Malaysia.
Tak tahu lah saya bahawa pihak PDRM juga mempunyai perkhidmatan ambulans?
Memang bagus jika polis juga ada ambulans mereka sendiri. Soalnya ada hospital sendiri juga ke? Saya harap ada dikalangan pembaca yang dapat memberikan saya maklumbalas tentang ini.
Hentian pilihan kami semalam adalah gerai gerai popular mamak di bawah 'pokok ceri'.
Tak nampak pula saya akan pokok ceri. Yang kelihatan hanya pokok pokok ketapang. Nak kena tukar gelaran hentian makanan mamak ini.
Ada satu peristiwa geli hati yang berlaku semasa saya memesan makanan kami.
Bila saya bertanya sup apa yang ada, mamak itu menjawab 'Kolli Sup!'
'Kolli' adalah nama ayam didalam bahasa Tamil. Hahahaha...mamak Kuantan itu memang dah mengenalpasti saya sebagai sama sebangsa dengan dia dan tetap nak berbahasa Tamil dengan saya. Hehehehehe...
Cendol dan mi rebus turut menjadi pilihan kami untuk menjamu selera.
Sesudah mengisi perut, kami pun terus pergi menziarahi sanak saudara kami di kampong isteri saya.
Insya Allah akan saya sambung nanti.
President Barack Hussein Obama's Speech to the Muslim World from Cairo, Egypt.
I am honored to be in the timeless city of Cairo, and to be hosted by two remarkable institutions. For over a thousand years, Al-Azhar has stood as a beacon of Islamic learning, and for over a century, Cairo University has been a source of Egypt's advancement. Together, you represent the harmony between tradition and progress. I am grateful for your hospitality, and the hospitality of the people of Egypt.
I am also proud to carry with me the goodwill of the American people, and a greeting of peace from Muslim communities in my country: Assalaamu alaykum.
We meet at a time of tension between the United States and Muslims around the world – tension rooted in historical forces that go beyond any current policy debate. The relationship between Islam and the West includes centuries of co-existence and cooperation, but also conflict and religious wars. More recently, tension has been fed by colonialism that denied rights and opportunities to many Muslims, and a Cold War in which Muslim-majority countries were too often treated as proxies without regard to their own aspirations. Moreover, the sweeping change brought by modernity and globalization led many Muslims to view the West as hostile to the traditions of Islam.
Violent extremists have exploited these tensions in a small but potent minority of Muslims. The attacks of September 11th, 2001 and the continued efforts of these extremists to engage in violence against civilians has led some in my country to view Islam as inevitably hostile not only to America and Western countries, but also to human rights. This has bred more fear and mistrust.
So long as our relationship is defined by our differences, we will empower those who sow hatred rather than peace, and who promote conflict rather than the cooperation that can help all of our people achieve justice and prosperity. This cycle of suspicion and discord must end.
I have come here to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world; one based upon mutual interest and mutual respect; and one based upon the truth that America and Islam are not exclusive, and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles – principles of justice and progress; tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.
I do so recognizing that change cannot happen overnight. No single speech can eradicate years of mistrust, nor can I answer in the time that I have all the complex questions that brought us to this point. But I am convinced that in order to move forward, we must say openly the things we hold in our hearts, and that too often are said only behind closed doors. There must be a sustained effort to listen to each other; to learn from each other; to respect one another; and to seek common ground. As the Holy Koran tells us, "Be conscious of God and speak always the truth." That is what I will try to do – to speak the truth as best I can, humbled by the task before us, and firm in my belief that the interests we share as human beings are far more powerful than the forces that drive us apart.
Part of this conviction is rooted in my own experience. I am a Christian, but my father came from a Kenyan family that includes generations of Muslims. As a boy, I spent several years in Indonesia and heard the call of the azaan at the break of dawn and the fall of dusk. As a young man, I worked in Chicago communities where many found dignity and peace in their Muslim faith.
As a student of history, I also know civilization's debt to Islam. It was Islam – at places like Al-Azhar University – that carried the light of learning through so many centuries, paving the way for Europe's Renaissance and Enlightenment. It was innovation in Muslim communities that developed the order of algebra; our magnetic compass and tools of navigation; our mastery of pens and printing; our understanding of how disease spreads and how it can be healed. Islamic culture has given us majestic arches and soaring spires; timeless poetry and cherished music; elegant calligraphy and places of peaceful contemplation. And throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality.I know, too, that Islam has always been a part of America's story. The first nation to recognize my country was Morocco. In signing the Treaty of Tripoli in 1796, our second President John Adams wrote, "The United States has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Muslims." And since our founding, American Muslims have enriched the United States. They have fought in our wars, served in government, stood for civil rights, started businesses, taught at our Universities, excelled in our sports arenas, won Nobel Prizes, built our tallest building, and lit the Olympic Torch. And when the first Muslim-American was recently elected to Congress, he took the oath to defend our Constitution using the same Holy Koran that one of our Founding Fathers – Thomas Jefferson – kept in his personal library.
So I have known Islam on three continents before coming to the region where it was first revealed. That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn't. And I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.
But that same principle must apply to Muslim perceptions of America. Just as Muslims do not fit a crude stereotype, America is not the crude stereotype of a self-interested empire. The United States has been one of the greatest sources of progress that the world has ever known. We were born out of revolution against an empire. We were founded upon the ideal that all are created equal, and we have shed blood and struggled for centuries to give meaning to those words – within our borders, and around the world. We are shaped by every culture, drawn from every end of the Earth, and dedicated to a simple concept: E pluribus unum: "Out of many, one."
Much has been made of the fact that an African-American with the name Barack Hussein Obama could be elected President. But my personal story is not so unique. The dream of opportunity for all people has not come true for everyone in America, but its promise exists for all who come to our shores – that includes nearly seven million American Muslims in our country today who enjoy incomes and education that are higher than average.
Moreover, freedom in America is indivisible from the freedom to practice one's religion. That is why there is a mosque in every state of our union, and over 1,200 mosques within our borders. That is why the U.S. government has gone to court to protect the right of women and girls to wear the hijab, and to punish those who would deny it.
So let there be no doubt: Islam is a part of America. And I believe that America holds within her the truth that regardless of race, religion, or station in life, all of us share common aspirations – to live in peace and security; to get an education and to work with dignity; to love our families, our communities, and our God. These things we share. This is the hope of all humanity.
Of course, recognizing our common humanity is only the beginning of our task. Words alone cannot meet the needs of our people. These needs will be met only if we act boldly in the years ahead; and if we understand that the challenges we face are shared, and our failure to meet them will hurt us all.
For we have learned from recent experience that when a financial system weakens in one country, prosperity is hurt everywhere. When a new flu infects one human being, all are at risk. When one nation pursues a nuclear weapon, the risk of nuclear attack rises for all nations. When violent extremists operate in one stretch of mountains, people are endangered across an ocean. And when innocents in Bosnia and Darfur are slaughtered, that is a stain on our collective conscience. That is what it means to share this world in the 21st century. That is the responsibility we have to one another as human beings.
This is a difficult responsibility to embrace. For human history has often been a record of nations and tribes subjugating one another to serve their own interests. Yet in this new age, such attitudes are self-defeating. Given our interdependence, any world order that elevates one nation or group of people over another will inevitably fail. So whatever we think of the past, we must not be prisoners of it. Our problems must be dealt with through partnership; progress must be shared.That does not mean we should ignore sources of tension. Indeed, it suggests the opposite: we must face these tensions squarely. And so in that spirit, let me speak as clearly and plainly as I can about some specific issues that I believe we must finally confront together.
The first issue that we have to confront is violent extremism in all of its forms.
In Ankara, I made clear that America is not – and never will be – at war with Islam. We will, however, relentlessly confront violent extremists who pose a grave threat to our security. Because we reject the same thing that people of all faiths reject: the killing of innocent men, women, and children. And it is my first duty as President to protect the American people.
The situation in Afghanistan demonstrates America's goals, and our need to work together. Over seven years ago, the United States pursued al Qaeda and the Taliban with broad international support. We did not go by choice, we went because of necessity. I am aware that some question or justify the events of 9/11. But let us be clear: al Qaeda killed nearly 3,000 people on that day. The victims were innocent men, women and children from America and many other nations who had done nothing to harm anybody. And yet Al Qaeda chose to ruthlessly murder these people, claimed credit for the attack, and even now states their determination to kill on a massive scale. They have affiliates in many countries and are trying to expand their reach. These are not opinions to be debated; these are facts to be dealt with.
Make no mistake: we do not want to keep our troops in Afghanistan. We seek no military bases there. It is agonizing for America to lose our young men and women. It is costly and politically difficult to continue this conflict. We would gladly bring every single one of our troops home if we could be confident that there were not violent extremists in Afghanistan and Pakistan determined to kill as many Americans as they possibly can. But that is not yet the case.
That's why we're partnering with a coalition of forty-six countries. And despite the costs involved, America's commitment will not weaken. Indeed, none of us should tolerate these extremists. They have killed in many countries. They have killed people of different faiths – more than any other, they have killed Muslims. Their actions are irreconcilable with the rights of human beings, the progress of nations, and with Islam. The Holy Koran teaches that whoever kills an innocent, it is as if he has killed all mankind; and whoever saves a person, it is as if he has saved all mankind. The enduring faith of over a billion people is so much bigger than the narrow hatred of a few. Islam is not part of the problem in combating violent extremism – it is an important part of promoting peace.
We also know that military power alone is not going to solve the problems in Afghanistan and Pakistan. That is why we plan to invest $1.5 billion each year over the next five years to partner with Pakistanis to build schools and hospitals, roads and businesses, and hundreds of millions to help those who have been displaced. And that is why we are providing more than $2.8 billion to help Afghans develop their economy and deliver services that people depend upon.
Let me also address the issue of Iraq. Unlike Afghanistan, Iraq was a war of choice that provoked strong differences in my country and around the world. Although I believe that the Iraqi people are ultimately better off without the tyranny of Saddam Hussein, I also believe that events in Iraq have reminded America of the need to use diplomacy and build international consensus to resolve our problems whenever possible. Indeed, we can recall the words of Thomas Jefferson, who said: "I hope that our wisdom will grow with our power, and teach us that the less we use our power the greater it will be."
Today, America has a dual responsibility: to help Iraq forge a better future – and to leave Iraq to Iraqis. I have made it clear to the Iraqi people that we pursue no bases, and no claim on their territory or resources. Iraq's sovereignty is its own. That is why I ordered the removal of our combat brigades by next August. That is why we will honor our agreement with Iraq's democratically-elected government to remove combat troops from Iraqi cities by July, and to remove all our troops from Iraq by 2012. We will help Iraq train its Security Forces and develop its economy. But we will support a secure and united Iraq as a partner, and never as a patron.
And finally, just as America can never tolerate violence by extremists, we must never alter our principles. 9/11 was an enormous trauma to our country. The fear and anger that it provoked was understandable, but in some cases, it led us to act contrary to our ideals. We are taking concrete actions to change course. I have unequivocally prohibited the use of torture by the United States, and I have ordered the prison at Guantanamo Bay closed by early next year.
So America will defend itself respectful of the sovereignty of nations and the rule of law. And we will do so in partnership with Muslim communities which are also threatened. The sooner the extremists are isolated and unwelcome in Muslim communities, the sooner we will all be safer.
The second major source of tension that we need to discuss is the situation between Israelis, Palestinians and the Arab world.
America's strong bonds with Israel are well known. This bond is unbreakable. It is based upon cultural and historical ties, and the recognition that the aspiration for a Jewish homeland is rooted in a tragic history that cannot be denied.
Around the world, the Jewish people were persecuted for centuries, and anti-Semitism in Europe culminated in an unprecedented Holocaust. Tomorrow, I will visit Buchenwald, which was part of a network of camps where Jews were enslaved, tortured, shot and gassed to death by the Third Reich. Six million Jews were killed – more than the entire Jewish population of Israel today. Denying that fact is baseless, ignorant, and hateful. Threatening Israel with destruction – or repeating vile stereotypes about Jews – is deeply wrong, and only serves to evoke in the minds of Israelis this most painful of memories while preventing the peace that the people of this region deserve.
On the other hand, it is also undeniable that the Palestinian people – Muslims and Christians – have suffered in pursuit of a homeland. For more than sixty years they have endured the pain of dislocation. Many wait in refugee camps in the West Bank, Gaza, and neighboring lands for a life of peace and security that they have never been able to lead. They endure the daily humiliations – large and small – that come with occupation. So let there be no doubt: the situation for the Palestinian people is intolerable. America will not turn our backs on the legitimate Palestinian aspiration for dignity, opportunity, and a state of their own.
For decades, there has been a stalemate: two peoples with legitimate aspirations, each with a painful history that makes compromise elusive. It is easy to point fingers – for Palestinians to point to the displacement brought by Israel's founding, and for Israelis to point to the constant hostility and attacks throughout its history from within its borders as well as beyond. But if we see this conflict only from one side or the other, then we will be blind to the truth: the only resolution is for the aspirations of both sides to be met through two states, where Israelis and Palestinians each live in peace and security.
That is in Israel's interest, Palestine's interest, America's interest, and the world's interest. That is why I intend to personally pursue this outcome with all the patience that the task requires. The obligations that the parties have agreed to under the Road Map are clear. For peace to come, it is time for them – and all of us – to live up to our responsibilities.
Palestinians must abandon violence. Resistance through violence and killing is wrong and does not succeed. For centuries, black people in America suffered the lash of the whip as slaves and the humiliation of segregation. But it was not violence that won full and equal rights. It was a peaceful and determined insistence upon the ideals at the center of America's founding. This same story can be told by people from South Africa to South Asia; from Eastern Europe to Indonesia. It's a story with a simple truth: that violence is a dead end. It is a sign of neither courage nor power to shoot rockets at sleeping children, or to blow up old women on a bus. That is not how moral authority is claimed; that is how it is surrendered.
Now is the time for Palestinians to focus on what they can build. The Palestinian Authority must develop its capacity to govern, with institutions that serve the needs of its people. Hamas does have support among some Palestinians, but they also have responsibilities. To play a role in fulfilling Palestinian aspirations, and to unify the Palestinian people, Hamas must put an end to violence, recognize past agreements, and recognize Israel's right to exist.
At the same time, Israelis must acknowledge that just as Israel's right to exist cannot be denied, neither can Palestine's. The United States does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements. This construction violates previous agreements and undermines efforts to achieve peace. It is time for these settlements to stop.
Israel must also live up to its obligations to ensure that Palestinians can live, and work, and develop their society. And just as it devastates Palestinian families, the continuing humanitarian crisis in Gaza does not serve Israel's security; neither does the continuing lack of opportunity in the West Bank. Progress in the daily lives of the Palestinian people must be part of a road to peace, and Israel must take concrete steps to enable such progress.
Finally, the Arab States must recognize that the Arab Peace Initiative was an important beginning, but not the end of their responsibilities. The Arab-Israeli conflict should no longer be used to distract the people of Arab nations from other problems. Instead, it must be a cause for action to help the Palestinian people develop the institutions that will sustain their state; to recognize Israel's legitimacy; and to choose progress over a self-defeating focus on the past.
America will align our policies with those who pursue peace, and say in public what we say in private to Israelis and Palestinians and Arabs. We cannot impose peace. But privately, many Muslims recognize that Israel will not go away. Likewise, many Israelis recognize the need for a Palestinian state. It is time for us to act on what everyone knows to be true.
Too many tears have flowed. Too much blood has been shed. All of us have a responsibility to work for the day when the mothers of Israelis and Palestinians can see their children grow up without fear; when the Holy Land of three great faiths is the place of peace that God intended it to be; when Jerusalem is a secure and lasting home for Jews and Christians and Muslims, and a place for all of the children of Abraham to mingle peacefully together as in the story of Isra, when Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed (peace be upon them) joined in prayer.
The third source of tension is our shared interest in the rights and responsibilities of nations on nuclear weapons.
This issue has been a source of tension between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran. For many years, Iran has defined itself in part by its opposition to my country, and there is indeed a tumultuous history between us. In the middle of the Cold War, the United States played a role in the overthrow of a democratically-elected Iranian government. Since the Islamic Revolution, Iran has played a role in acts of hostage-taking and violence against U.S. troops and civilians. This history is well known. Rather than remain trapped in the past, I have made it clear to Iran's leaders and people that my country is prepared to move forward. The question, now, is not what Iran is against, but rather what future it wants to build.
It will be hard to overcome decades of mistrust, but we will proceed with courage, rectitude and resolve. There will be many issues to discuss between our two countries, and we are willing to move forward without preconditions on the basis of mutual respect. But it is clear to all concerned that when it comes to nuclear weapons, we have reached a decisive point. This is not simply about America's interests. It is about preventing a nuclear arms race in the Middle East that could lead this region and the world down a hugely dangerous path.
I understand those who protest that some countries have weapons that others do not. No single nation should pick and choose which nations hold nuclear weapons. That is why I strongly reaffirmed America's commitment to seek a world in which no nations hold nuclear weapons. And any nation – including Iran – should have the right to access peaceful nuclear power if it complies with its responsibilities under the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. That commitment is at the core of the Treaty, and it must be kept for all who fully abide by it. And I am hopeful that all countries in the region can share in this goal.
The fourth issue that I will address is democracy.
I know there has been controversy about the promotion of democracy in recent years, and much of this controversy is connected to the war in Iraq. So let me be clear: no system of government can or should be imposed upon one nation by any other.
That does not lessen my commitment, however, to governments that reflect the will of the people. Each nation gives life to this principle in its own way, grounded in the traditions of its own people. America does not presume to know what is best for everyone, just as we would not presume to pick the outcome of a peaceful election. But I do have an unyielding belief that all people yearn for certain things: the ability to speak your mind and have a say in how you are governed; confidence in the rule of law and the equal administration of justice; government that is transparent and doesn't steal from the people; the freedom to live as you choose. Those are not just American ideas, they are human rights, and that is why we will support them everywhere.
There is no straight line to realize this promise. But this much is clear: governments that protect these rights are ultimately more stable, successful and secure. Suppressing ideas never succeeds in making them go away. America respects the right of all peaceful and law-abiding voices to be heard around the world, even if we disagree with them. And we will welcome all elected, peaceful governments – provided they govern with respect for all their people.
This last point is important because there are some who advocate for democracy only when they are out of power; once in power, they are ruthless in suppressing the rights of others. No matter where it takes hold, government of the people and by the people sets a single standard for all who hold power: you must maintain your power through consent, not coercion; you must respect the rights of minorities, and participate with a spirit of tolerance and compromise; you must place the interests of your people and the legitimate workings of the political process above your party. Without these ingredients, elections alone do not make true democracy.
The fifth issue that we must address together is religious freedom.
Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance. We see it in the history of Andalusia and Cordoba during the Inquisition. I saw it firsthand as a child in Indonesia, where devout Christians worshiped freely in an overwhelmingly Muslim country. That is the spirit we need today. People in every country should be free to choose and live their faith based upon the persuasion of the mind, heart, and soul. This tolerance is essential for religion to thrive, but it is being challenged in many different ways.
Among some Muslims, there is a disturbing tendency to measure one's own faith by the rejection of another's. The richness of religious diversity must be upheld – whether it is for Maronites in Lebanon or the Copts in Egypt. And fault lines must be closed among Muslims as well, as the divisions between Sunni and Shia have led to tragic violence, particularly in Iraq.
Freedom of religion is central to the ability of peoples to live together. We must always examine the ways in which we protect it. For instance, in the United States, rules on charitable giving have made it harder for Muslims to fulfill their religious obligation. That is why I am committed to working with American Muslims to ensure that they can fulfill zakat.
Likewise, it is important for Western countries to avoid impeding Muslim citizens from practicing religion as they see fit – for instance, by dictating what clothes a Muslim woman should wear. We cannot disguise hostility towards any religion behind the pretence of liberalism.
Indeed, faith should bring us together. That is why we are forging service projects in America that bring together Christians, Muslims, and Jews. That is why we welcome efforts like Saudi Arabian King Abdullah's Interfaith dialogue and Turkey's leadership in the Alliance of Civilizations. Around the world, we can turn dialogue into Interfaith service, so bridges between peoples lead to action – whether it is combating malaria in Africa, or providing relief after a natural disaster.
The sixth issue that I want to address is women's rights.
I know there is debate about this issue. I reject the view of some in the West that a woman who chooses to cover her hair is somehow less equal, but I do believe that a woman who is denied an education is denied equality. And it is no coincidence that countries where women are well-educated are far more likely to be prosperous.
Now let me be clear: issues of women's equality are by no means simply an issue for Islam. In Turkey, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Indonesia, we have seen Muslim-majority countries elect a woman to lead. Meanwhile, the struggle for women's equality continues in many aspects of American life, and in countries around the world.
Our daughters can contribute just as much to society as our sons, and our common prosperity will be advanced by allowing all humanity – men and women – to reach their full potential. I do not believe that women must make the same choices as men in order to be equal, and I respect those women who choose to live their lives in traditional roles. But it should be their choice. That is why the United States will partner with any Muslim-majority country to support expanded literacy for girls, and to help young women pursue employment through micro-financing that helps people live their dreams.
Finally, I want to discuss economic development and opportunity.
I know that for many, the face of globalization is contradictory. The Internet and television can bring knowledge and information, but also offensive sexuality and mindless violence. Trade can bring new wealth and opportunities, but also huge disruptions and changing communities. In all nations – including my own – this change can bring fear. Fear that because of modernity we will lose of control over our economic choices, our politics, and most importantly our identities – those things we most cherish about our communities, our families, our traditions, and our faith.
But I also know that human progress cannot be denied. There need not be contradiction between development and tradition. Countries like Japan and South Korea grew their economies while maintaining distinct cultures. The same is true for the astonishing progress within Muslim-majority countries from Kuala Lumpur to Dubai. In ancient times and in our times, Muslim communities have been at the forefront of innovation and education.
This is important because no development strategy can be based only upon what comes out of the ground, nor can it be sustained while young people are out of work. Many Gulf States have enjoyed great wealth as a consequence of oil, and some are beginning to focus it on broader development. But all of us must recognize that education and innovation will be the currency of the 21st century, and in too many Muslim communities there remains underinvestment in these areas. I am emphasizing such investments within my country. And while America in the past has focused on oil and gas in this part of the world, we now seek a broader engagement.
On education, we will expand exchange programs, and increase scholarships, like the one that brought my father to America, while encouraging more Americans to study in Muslim communities. And we will match promising Muslim students with internships in America; invest in on-line learning for teachers and children around the world; and create a new online network, so a teenager in Kansas can communicate instantly with a teenager in Cairo.
On economic development, we will create a new corps of business volunteers to partner with counterparts in Muslim-majority countries. And I will host a Summit on Entrepreneurship this year to identify how we can deepen ties between business leaders, foundations and social entrepreneurs in the United States and Muslim communities around the world.
On science and technology, we will launch a new fund to support technological development in Muslim-majority countries, and to help transfer ideas to the marketplace so they can create jobs. We will open centers of scientific excellence in Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, and appoint new Science Envoys to collaborate on programs that develop new sources of energy, create green jobs, digitize records, clean water, and grow new crops. And today I am announcing a new global effort with the Organization of the Islamic Conference to eradicate polio. And we will also expand partnerships with Muslim communities to promote child and maternal health.
All these things must be done in partnership. Americans are ready to join with citizens and governments; community organizations, religious leaders, and businesses in Muslim communities around the world to help our people pursue a better life.
The issues that I have described will not be easy to address. But we have a responsibility to join together on behalf of the world we seek – a world where extremists no longer threaten our people, and American troops have come home; a world where Israelis and Palestinians are each secure in a state of their own, and nuclear energy is used for peaceful purposes; a world where governments serve their citizens, and the rights of all God's children are respected. Those are mutual interests. That is the world we seek. But we can only achieve it together.
I know there are many – Muslim and non-Muslim – who question whether we can forge this new beginning. Some are eager to stoke the flames of division, and to stand in the way of progress. Some suggest that it isn't worth the effort – that we are fated to disagree, and civilizations are doomed to clash. Many more are simply skeptical that real change can occur. There is so much fear, so much mistrust. But if we choose to be bound by the past, we will never move forward. And I want to particularly say this to young people of every faith, in every country – you, more than anyone, have the ability to remake this world.
All of us share this world for but a brief moment in time. The question is whether we spend that time focused on what pushes us apart, or whether we commit ourselves to an effort – a sustained effort – to find common ground, to focus on the future we seek for our children, and to respect the dignity of all human beings.
It is easier to start wars than to end them. It is easier to blame others than to look inward; to see what is different about someone than to find the things we share. But we should choose the right path, not just the easy path. There is also one rule that lies at the heart of every religion – that we do unto others as we would have them do unto us. This truth transcends nations and peoples – a belief that isn't new; that isn't black or white or brown; that isn't Christian, or Muslim or Jew. It's a belief that pulsed in the cradle of civilization, and that still beats in the heart of billions. It's a faith in other people, and it's what brought me here today.
We have the power to make the world we seek, but only if we have the courage to make a new beginning, keeping in mind what has been written.
The Holy Koran tells us, "O mankind! We have created you male and a female; and we have made you into nations and tribes so that you may know one another."
The Talmud tells us: "The whole of the Torah is for the purpose of promoting peace."
The Holy Bible tells us, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God."
The people of the world can live together in peace. We know that is God's vision. Now, that must be our work here on Earth. Thank you. And may God's peace be upon you.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
America!
You have redeemed yourselves by electing this man to be your President!
He speaks what most of us all over the world want to hear. He brings hope to many with his visions for world peace and progress.
Those who are blinkered in their ways and have only blind hatred in their hearts will choose to deny him and continue with their murderous ways.
Those of us who cherish goodwill and harmony must do our part to make peace and no war.
I wish President Barack Hussein Obama all the best in his administration of the United States of America.
Surely he is not perfect nor ever will he be but at least he is not as damaging as the idiot you elected before him!
As for the matter of the Nazi inflicted Jewish Holocaust, Obama seems to justify the confiscation of Palestine to accommodate the Israelis!
That's just not right. What did the Palestinians do to justify taking away their land for a heinous massacre that the Nazi Germans did?
Why defend and uphold such a disastrous mistake of the then British and American Governments who after defeating Adolf Hitler's Nazi Administration decided to turn Palestine into Israel?
If you feel so much for the Jews, then America and Britain ought to repatriate the Jews to your lands and also that of Germany!
The Palestinians didn't massacre the Jews back then ; why then should they be made to suffer for your crimes? The setting up of the rogue State of Israel in Palestine is and will always be a symbol of the injustice of the USA and UK in punishing a people for what they didn't have any part at all.
Even if you reestablish Palestine after dividing it into two states, the injustice will remain.
Having said that, most other parts of President Obama's speech is alright and we need to help out the man in making sure that he gets to at least make life for all a bit more better and safer by not resorting to needless wars and occupations like what his predecessor did under guise of the excuse of fighting terror!
Make good on what he has promised us and he must walk the talk! To the letter!
Now everyone can at least hope for a better tomorrow.
Insya Allah.
All you Muslim leaders ought to follow the example of Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam and try your level best to keep up with President Obama!
He rocks!
Death of a Loan Shark ~ Expect no condolences!
May peace be upon you with the Mercy and Blessings of Allah.
Dear brothers and sisters.
Recently we heard of a local loan shark @ 'Ah Long' ~ Sin Chee Loon alias 'Botak', 25 being bashed to death by a borrower together with some other friends of his in Sg.Nibong, Penang.
The 'Ah Long' was beaten and left to die by the roadside. Members of the public who found him lying seriously bleeding by the roadside, had rushed him to the hospital but due to the severity of his injuries, the Ah Long perished.If the members of the public knew that he was a loan shark, I doubt that any of them would have bothered to help out the man.
Hell, some might even have gone on to give the fella a few more whacks to speed his demise!
That's the extent of the hatred that the loan sharks of this nation have incurred as a result of their cruel, sadistic ways in dealing with their loan defaulters all these years.
The news report and expose of their own private prisons recently at Seri Kembangan where the 'Ah Long's had incarcerated their loan defaulters, chained them up like animals, beat and brutalized them if they even whimpered, locked them up like nobody's business surely has not endeared them to the public or evoke in them any feelings of mercy or compassion to those brutes involved in these illegal money lending operations.
Prisoner of the Ah Long @ loan sharks.
I doubt that the members of the Malaysian public will even shed a tear for the loan shark who died in Penang.
The way that these loan sharks operate is getting from bad to worse and I blame it on the lackadaisical way that the so called authorities of this land react to such blatant breach of the existing numerous laws.
There is just no will at all on the part of those who are employed as the law enforcement agencies of this country.
The prevailing attitude of the ones in power @ usually the Malays are of a nature that is nonchalant and apathetic manner of 'working'.
Most do not.
Do not work that is!
All that they are concerned with is punching in for duty at 0800 hours or 0830, whichever comes first. Mosey on down to the cafeteria at their departments, agencies or ministries.
Order their breakfast, yak yakkety yak yak with their colleagues. Talk about the latest gossip. Chat about the political circus going on in this country.
Discuss or curse their chosen political figures for the day. Yak yak yak till someone tells them that the boss is coming.
Disappear to their desks and 'pretend' to work.
Come 10.00 am, presto they disappear to the canteen again. Tea break!
Yak yakkety yak yak again as they please.
10.30am, back to their theatrics of 'doing work'! 'Bertugas' they call it.
12.00pm. Stop all 'work'!
Lunch time!!!
2.00 om. Back to act.
3.00 pm. Tea break.
5.30pm. Clock out!
Day in, day out!
Do you think that the problems of this country will ever get solved?
Keep dreaming!
Some say that this is the work culture of the BN.
Really?
I await the day when the PR get to run this country and hope to see any significant change of the overall government of the day machinery at work?
Don't get your hopes too high for when it crumbles just like the roof of the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium at Gong Badak, Terengganu did, you can expect not to see anyone come forward and readily accept the blame! It's currently 'pass the blame' time.
It's all the deeply ingrained 'work culture' of the Bumiputera's mentality.
Whether you call them the BN or the PR, they will remain just the same till Yaum al Qiyamah!
Those who dare to dream that there will now be strict enforcement against the activities of the local loan sharks @ 'Ah Long's are just fooling themselves.
A recent survey states that more than a 100,000 government servants ranging from the lowliest staff to even the cream de la creme amongst the big shots of the civil service are clients of the loan sharks.
Why has this come to be?
None other than due to the way our local banks and financial institutions have made it such a hassle to secure loans, even the micro credit ones.
Official red tape and office bureaucracy make it almost impossible for the average Malaysian to secure a loan to solve their financial needs.
The loan sharks come forward and offer non collateral loans but take out a portion of what they lend out. They top it up with astronomical interest rates and choke the living daylights out of the loan defaulters.
The death of that Penang Ah Long @ loan shark is just the start.
People are quick to copy anything nowadays. Malaysians are pretty good at it.
Copying all the bad examples, I mean.
Soon, we will hear of another loan shark beaten to death! Believe me, the odds of this happening is very high.
Now that the public has heard of this walloping to death of that 'Ah Long' and the police will face reluctance of informers to come forward and be a witness to this case, there might be others who will be 'inspired' to do the same.
Hehehehehe...it is now the 'Ah Longs' who will have to be a bit more alert to the chances of that killing in Penang recurring ..this time to them.
You might even find the 'Ah Long's reduced to operating on a smaller scale due to the chances of them getting hurt in the illegal moneylending process.
I wonder if the banks have it in them to now sort of 'seize the day' @ 'carpe dium' and open up more loan facilities albeit a bit more customer friendly and do away with unnecessary red tape to secure more business?
Anyway, the shining example of the Bangladeshi 'Grameen Bank' founded by Professor Dr.Muhammad Yunus ought to be a beacon to our local banking and financial institutions to break the red tape wall now prevalent in our nation and lead the way to the successful eradication of all these illegal money lending operations of the 'Ah Long's of Malaysia.
As for the dead loan shark, I have no condolences to offer.
The saying goes that those who live by the sword, die by it.
One loan shark gone, thousands more to go?
Wallahu `alam bissawab.
Wonder where all those 'chettiars' of old have disappeared to?
You know, the chaps sitting cross legged on pavements, pencils stuck between their ears, donning those horn rimmed glasses, perpetual smile across their faces and that trademark black umbrellas they used to carry as they went about knocking on the doors of their customers?
Extinct already?
Tch..tch..tch...what a shame..no more legends of the P.Ramlee era's around.
They sure were an important institution in Malayan society before.
'Selamat pagi Incik Jamil! Ada baik kah?'
Hehehehehe....memories....
Politik Malaysia kini dan kebarangkalian keputusan PRU ke 13 nanti.
Saudara saudari, warganegara seMalaysia sekelian.
Umum mengetahui bahawa sepanjang perjalanan parti parti politik didalam negara, suasana percaturan politik semasa menunjukkan bahawa Kerajaan Persekutuan yang dibawah perintah Barisan Nasional dari zaman kemerdekaan Malaya pada tahun 1957 kini telah sampai kepada saat dan ketika dimana Barisan Nasional berada di kedudukan paling lemah didalam sejarah pemegangan kuasa mereka!
Pemerintahan BN dibawah Perdana Menteri sekarang iaitu Dato Seri Najib Tun Razak yang mendapat kuasa melalui perletakan jawatan PM sebelumnya Tun Abdullah Badawi berkeadaan paling rapuh didalam sejarah politik negara.
UMNO yang merupakan parti teras Barisan Nasional pada hari ini sudah berada didalam kedudukan paling lemah sepanjang penubuhan parti terbesar orang orang berbangsa Melayu.
Parti parti komponen BN lain juga bermasaalah sehingga ramai diantara calon calon mereka tewas kepada gabungan pakatan DAP-PKR dan PAS.
Hasilnya terujud sekarang suasana turun naik kuasa paksi politik yang terbukti akan condong menyebelahi pihak lawan walau hanya dua atau 3 orang ahli mana mana parti politik berpaling tadah dan belot terhadap keputusan para pengundi yang memangkah kertas undi memenangkan mereka?
Keadaan ini telah terbukti didalam peralihan kuasa politik di Negeri Perak akibat petualangan 2 ADUN PKR dan seorang ADUN DAP didalam Dewan Undangan Negeri itu.
Walaupun PM sekarang Dato Seri Najib Tun Razak sedang berusaha mengambil hati para pengundi parti parti Pakatan DAP-PKR dan PAS dengan mencabut satu persatu dari keistimewaan orang orang Melayu, namun pada hemat saya semua pengorbanan polisi mengutamakan kaum Melayu adalah satu usaha sia sia belaka.
Kebanyakan warganegara Malaysia kini sudah celik akan hak diri masing masing sebagai anak watan negara pelbagai kaum di Malaysia dan mereka sedang melakukan undi protes terhadap segala salah laku BN dengan mengundi pihak lawan setiap kali adanya pilihanraya kecil akibat kematian ADUN atau Ahli Parlimen di mana mana sahaja kawasan didalam negara kita ini.
Punca peralihan sokongan daripada BN
Kita semua tahu bahawa ramai dikalangan anggota masyarakt di Malaysia ini tidak suka bila pesalah laku dikalangan orang orang yang berkuasa selalunya terlepas dari tindakan penguatkuasaan undang undang bila di hadapkan ke mahkamah.
Amat jarang penjenayah yang mempunyai pangkat atau kedudukan yang menerima hukuman yang setimpal dengan jenayah yang mereka lakukan.
Ada terlalu banyak contoh ketidakadilan ini berlaku untuk saya sebutkan satu persatu tetapi anda yang mengikuti perkembangan semasa dalam negara sudah pasti akan dapat ingat mana mana jerung yang terlepas dan bilis yang dipenjarakan?
Ketidakpuasan rakyat melihat semua ini dinyatakan secara undi protes terhadap Kerajaan BN didalam PRU ke 12 yang lalu.
Akibatnya jatuh 4 lagi negeri ke tangan pembangkang DAP-PKR dan PAS.
Sekarang Negeri Perak yang sebelum ini dibawah perintah Pakatan DAP-PKR dan PAS kehilangan kuasa bila berlakunya pengkhianatan 3 ADUN yang disebut. Secara teknikal, BN memperolehi majoriti mudah dan kini memerintah Perak kembali.
Namun kerajaan yang dibentuk berteraskan petualangan 3 orang ADUN yang tidak bertanggungjawab itu membuatkan ianya goyah dan tidak kukuh oleh kerana tidak mendapat mandat dari rakyat Perak.
Pemerintahan berdasarkan paksaan undang undang ini sudah tentu akan menyebabkan para pengundi 3 kawasan terbabit bertekad untuk memangkah calon calon bukan BN didalam PRU ke 13 nanti!
Ini sudah pasti. Kekecewaan massa yang tidak dapat merubah keadaan mahupun mereka berdemonstrasi ke apa akan membulatkan tekad didalam hati sanubari masing masing untuk mengajar BN nanti!
1Malaysia.
Seperti biasa bila sekali air bah, sekali pasir kan berubah.
Setiap Perdana Menteri yang mengambil alih kuasa memerintah tidak sunyi dari mengusulkan sesuatu konsep atau dasar peribadi mereka sendiri.
Begitu juga dengan Najib Tun Razak. Beliau telah mencanangkan konsep 1Malaysia sebagai gagasan pemerintahannya selaku PM ke 6.
Sekali pandang, tak ubah seperti konsep Malaysian Malaysia yang menjadi dasar perjuangan DAP dibawah Lim Kit Siang, Lim Guan Eng dan Karpal Singh yang sekian lama ini lantang menghalang sebarang usaha untuk penubuhan 'Negara Islam' didalam Malaysia tetapi kesamarataan hak diantara penduduk negara ini berasaskan 'meritokrasi.
Kekadang nampak 'seperti lebih sudu dari kuah' atau 'cakap tak serupa bikin'?
Kuasa ditangan selalunya membuatkan seseorang pejuang politik berubah prinsip dan laku! Ini terbukti didalam sejarah mana mana negeri ataupun negara.
Sekian lama ini , ahli politik kebanyakan sebelum berkuasa akan membantah itu dan ini dan senantiasa menuduh pihak berkuasa sebagai korup, perasuah jijik dan pengkhianat amanah negara!
Bilamana si pembantah ini pula yang berkuasa, tak ada banyak tara mana sangat perubahan yang berlaku?
Keadaan ini dipersalahkan kepada keadaan dimana sudah menjadi kelaziman pihak berwajib melakukan sesuatu kerja itu mengikut lumrah dan kelaziman semasa.
Hanya orang nya sahaja yang bertukar, cara budaya kerja di agensi agensi kerajaan tetap sama walau beralih pemerintah.
Ini dia yang membawa kepada punca masaalah.
Bukan mudah untuk merubah bilamana akar paksi kelaziman zaman berzaman tertanam jauh kedalam kebiasaan seseorang atau kelompok!
Masaalah setempat.
Dewasa ini sudah menjadi kelaziman pemerintah melaksanakan dasar serupa melangkaui sempadan negeri negeri.
Dasar sesuatu agensi harus dijalankan sesuai dan selari dengan cara gaya masyarakat tempatan.
Cuba kita ambil sebagai contoh, kaedah pelaksanaan upacara khutbah Jumaat.
Zaman saya dahulu, khatib tidak membaca teks khutbah!
Para khatib akan berkhutbah kepada para jamaah sesuai dengan keadaan dan keperluan masyarakat sekeliling masjid.
Dewasa kini, saya perhatikan kebanyakan khatib di masjid membaca skrip atau teks khutbah yang disediakan JAKIM.
Mana perginya kebebasan para khatib khatib Muslim bila berdiri di atas mimbar mimbar masjid?
Bila para khatib disekat dan dicengkam oleh pemerintah untuk membaca khutbah dengan skrip teks yang disediakan, maka hilanglah sudah talian persaudaraan terus diantara khatib dengan para jamaah!
Jamaah terus mengantuk sebab merasa khutbah yang disampaikan tidak ada kena mengena dengan diri mereka. Mata mulai mengantuk dan silap haribulan ada yang berdengkur karang sebab terlalu 'monotone' sangat bunyi suara pembaca teks khutbah berkenaan?
Ketidakpuasan didalam hati jamaah juga akan membuahkan hasilnya nanti didalam PRU ke 13 dan natijahnya, akan ada satu revolusi senyap tidak terisytihar yang akan mengalahkan Kerajaan Najib Tun Razak didalam PRU ke 13 nanti!
Seandainya JAKIM tidak membebaskan mimbar, undi protes jamaah akan mengkuburkan UMNO didalam PRU ke 13 yang akan datang!
Tengok sahajalah nanti. Wallahu`alam bissawab.
Cara keluar bagi BN dan UMNO dari kemelut ini?
Tidak lain tidak bukan dari kembali kepada fitrah dan belajar memerintah mengikut Sunnah Nabi bukan kelaziman yang membawa rebah!
Negara ini terlalu banyak undang undang tetapi yang kurang nya adalah penguatkuasaan undang undang itu.
Pemerintah perlu ikhlas. Jangan bersandiwara dengan rakyat!
Ini bukan zaman komunis lagi. Masyarakat sekarang lebih arif tentang hukum hakam agama serta sudah ramai yang berilmu pengetahuan tinggi tentang bab bab siyasah baik syariah mahupun sivil.
Berubah atau tunggu di ubah?
Tepok meja tak guna YB!
Tepok dada dan tanya akal!
Ada akal ke tidak?
Jangan nanti sampai pegang kepala begini!
Ketika itu otak dah kematu; minda dah jem macam batu. Tak dapatlah nak ditolong karang!!!
Menyesal kemudian tak ada faedahnya beb!!!
The Manohara Odelia Pinot Cinetron ~ Don't conclude anything yet!
Dear Ikhwanul Muslimin,
It's unfortunate that the nation which is besieged with a political conundrum over there in the State of Perak has now to contend with a much hyped up story of a scandal affecting a Kelantan royalty's marriage which is now being bandied about in the papers reeking of accusations of this and that which seems too controversial due to the severity of the charges laid upon the Kelantan prince Tengku Temenggong Tengku Mohamad Fakhry Sultan Ismail Petra!
Manohara Odelia Pinot or Yang Amat Mulia Cik Puan Temenggong Kelantan as she was addressed and installed as is one fine looking young lady but from the reports coming in from websites such as The Jakarta Social Blog which is full of all kinds of exposing photos of the pretty lass showing the whole world as to who she really is and what is the real story behind this royal scandal?
Another website with all the real deal story exposing a major scandal involving the beautiful Manohara shown to be but a pawn in her mom's wheeling and dealing with the jet setting high society of Jakarta's rich and famous all comes to stink of an elaborate scam to make the most of the young lady's good looks by her mom's attempts to match her up with the ones who have all the fame and fortunes in Indonesia is Toughlane Blogspot.com. Here is the socialite all natural!
There are many sensation seeking online and offline Malaysian and Indonesian media who are just so eager to demonize the Tengku Temenggong of Kelantan!
They are so bloody excited to tar and feather the unfortunate husband of the lady because to them, anything involving Malaysian officialdom is something worthy of scandal and willful character assassination to suit their purposes!
A few of our Malaysian online publications are just so eager to dig for dirt here and tarnish the reputation of our Malaysian institutions just for the sake of getting more hits and smear the country's image further.
Here is a recording of Manohara speaking to an Indonesian reporter claiming to have been sexually abused and cut with razors on her chest, etc by the Tengku Temenggong of Kelantan:
My advice to all is to not jump to any conclusions and for all to do some real research and studies as to what has really happened before coming to any ill founded conclusions!!!
There seems to be a whole lot of interference from her director mom as to how to go about conjuring the story of her abuse at the hands of the Kelantan prince!
My question to those who are quick to condemn Tengku Temenggong Kelantan is to please do a recheck as to the actual condition both physical and psychological state of the person who is supposed to be a victim of sadistic rape, physical abuse, scarring, etc. of Manohara Odelia Pinot?
Watch the video below and see for yourself whether the Y.A.M. Cik Puan Temenggong Kelantan looks like an abused sexually tortured wife?
Look at her demeanor and see whether you can detect any such signs of a mentally and physically tortured person?
I don't know about you but if I came across an abused person, I'd easily be able to detect any such signs of abuse and trauma that would be so obvious in any suffering soul?
We can immediately see it in their eyes and facial expressions! No matter how bloody good one can act or camouflage any such unhappiness in one's heart and mind, it will still show up and be detected by those around the said person!!!
Go here to see for yourselves as to whether the woman we see here is a victim of such vile abuse?
What signs of torture does anyone see in this obviously pampered and well taken care of wife of a Kelantan prince?
Who is torturing whom?
From what I read, it is the Tengku Temenggong of Kelantan for all his wealth and opulence seems to be suffering like hell from the way his facial expressions betray to all and sundry!!!
That is not the face of a happy man!!!
This might be what some say that you can have all the money in the world, have a drop dead gorgeous woman as your wife, but damn!!!..deep down in your heart, it must be pure suffering hell all burning you up inside knowing that your betrothed is only after all your fortunes and material wealth and doesn't really give a hoot about you in actuality!
That would surely take the life out of you! No wonder Tengku Mohamad Fakhry doesn't look happy! My condolences to you sir!
The truth has to be told!
Enough unnecessary vilification of a man who has been wronged and backstabbed by one upon whom he trusted and accepted as his chosen partner in life!!!
Read this expose by the Jakarta Social Blog to discover who the main player in this sorry saga is?
Manohara's mom before.
Daisy Fajarina ~ after! Time for Indonesian Sinetron! Quite impressive theatrics, eh?
I will not usually give any attention to such cases involving these kind of personalities but this case involves the good name of Malaysia, despite all its shortcomings and I feel obliged to speak out for our country!
Here is a scandal of an international level deriding the reputation of our nation and scandalizing our country by this group of opportunists masquerading as the victims of abuse, etc!!!
We must learn not to get carried away by the media sensationalization of an obviously well planned ruse to get Manohara back to being single and available in order to fulfill the wishes of those who stand to make more $$$$$$$$$$$$ utilizing her good looks after failing to get what they had planned to get in the first place!
Toughlane Blogspot has all the facts and figures to clear all the allegations being heaped upon the unfortunate Kelantan Tengku Temenggong by Manohara and her mom right now!
So does Jakarta Social Blog for they have the evidence to prove that Manohara Odelia Pinot has been seen with Ardy Bakrie @ Anindra Ardiansyah Bakrie, youngest son of Indonesia's richest business entrepreneur and politician Aburizal Bakrie!
Aburizal Bakrie heads the Bakrie Group and his worth is more than US$5.4 billion.
It all seems to be nothing but a scam involving using Manohara's good looks to clinch a better deal for her and her mom.
It's not fair to vilify someone like the Kelantan prince and turn him into something he is not and go about badmouthing him and alleging such vicious accusations against someone who took her in as his wife and gave her such a high position in the Sultanate of Kelantan Darul Naim!
Talk about biting the hand that fed her?
This ought to give all a clearer picture as to what really went on when Manohara 'escaped' from the Kelantan Palace for the first time?
I don't know about you but I'd advise you my dear readers to pay heed to what Allah the Almighty warns us of when we are faced with such unfounded news and stories of the abuse that has yet to be proven in the Cinetron case of Manohara Odelia Pinot ~ the one who 'used to be honored and fussed over as the Kelantan Cik Puan Temenggong?
Here's the Indonesian media's version of the continuing saga of the Indonesian teenager socialite who got married to a Kelantanese prince but despite all the pomp and pageantry that she was accorded with chose to make herself the subject of this seemingly made for tv scandal.
It has all the juicy ingredients for a blockbuster Indonesian Sinetron :
Here's Surah Al Hujurat Chapter 49 Verse 6 in the Holy Quran Al Karim :
6. Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo in jaakum fasiqun binaba-in fatabayyanoo an tuseeboo qawman bijahalatin fatusbihoo AAala ma faAAaltum nadimeena
6. O ye who believe! If a wicked person comes to you with any news, ascertain the truth, lest ye harm people unwittingly, and afterwards become full of repentance for what ye have done.
May the truth be told and justice upheld for all those involved!
Ameen!
Nasihat kepada nafsul amarah oleh Mahaguru58
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala Tuhan Maha Pencipta, Maha Penyayang,
Yang masih mahu mengekalkan kita didunia sementara ini
Walaupun segolongan besar dari kita terlalu sibuk
Sibuk dengan urusan siasah negara
Hiburan yang meleka
Sehati Berdansa
dan berpesta pora ikut suka....
Hati hati yang resah dengan pemilihan ke pangkat dan kedudukan sementara..
Pergolakan didalam parti dan negara..
Yang senantiasa berkacau bilau..
Berprotes sana ; berdemo sini..
Ada yang terpenjara akibat tulisan dan luahan tanpa mengambil kira..
Akan Hari Pembalasan..
Dihadapan Allah Azza Wa Jalla..
Di Yaum al Mahsyar..
Manusia rakus..
Berbunuh bunuhan demi segenggam uang..
Sebongkah emas..
Kata mengata..
Caci mencaci..
Hina menghina..
Semua berasaskan menurut rasa..
Tertewas Iman..
Dek penangan nafsu..
Yang senantiasa bergejolak..
Membakar minda..
Melupakan semua larangan dan suruhanNya....
Wahai teman, wahai saudara..
Marilah kita bertafakur sejenak..
Mengenang kembali akan segala perlakuan kita..
Apa masih teringat?
Ketika kita muda belia..
Sesuci embun dihujung daun..
Tatkala jiwa ini..
Masih suci tanpa noda dan dosa...
Sesuci anak anak yang riang gelak ketawa..
Ikhlas tanpa curiga
Tanpa sebarang prasangka..
Kembalilah wahai nafsul amarah...
Kesisi TuhanMu Yang Maha Pengampun, Maha Penyayang..
Sebelum tiba sa'at dan ketika
Ruh mu terbang melayang..
Setiap insan pasti akan mati
Bila tiba saat ajalnya nanti
Tiada tertangguh barang sesaat
Pengabadian kita diliang lahat.
Maka rajin rajinlah wahai sahabat handai dan taulan
Berzikir bertasbih bertahmid mengikut kemampuan
Bersiap siagalah kita menghadapi ketentuan
Menyediakan jiwa kembali ke pangkuan Tuhan!
Qala inna lillahi huwa inna ilaihi raji`un.
Insya Allah!
Lata Jarum, Ulu Dong, Raub, Pahang - Air sungainya sejuk giler!
Pada hari Sabtu 30hb Mei 2009 yang lalu, saya bersama isteri telah pergi memenuhi jemputan ke majlis perkahwinan rakan pensyarah isteri saya di Kg.Jeruas, Mukim Ulu Dong, di Raub, Pahang Darul Makmur.
Ini kali pertama saya sampai ke kawasan yang memang jauh terletak di pedalaman Negeri Pahang.
Bilamana terdengar sahaja nama Mukim Ulu Dong, saya teringat kes pembunuhan paling kejam didalam sejarah negara kita iaitu kes pembunuhan bekas ADUN Batu Talam, Datuk Idros @ Mazlan Idris yang dikerat 18 di sebuah rumah tidak bernombor di Kg Peruas, Mukim Ulu Dong oleh bekas penyanyi yang menjadi bomoh Mona Fendi, dengan bantuan suaminya Mohd Affandi Abdul Rahman serta pembantu khas mereka Juraimi Hussin.
Mesti berkerumun para pemberita dan wartawan media berkampong disana mencari bahan untuk penerbitan dan penyiaran mereka.
Apa apa pun kes ini sudah lama berlaku dan ketiga pembunuh kejam itu sudah pun mati di tali gantung Penjara Kajang!
Ini papantanda menunjukkan arah ke Lurah Bilut, projek Felda pertama didalam sejarah negara kita. Teruja juga hati saya melihat papantanda ini. Insya Allah jika ada peluang, mahu juga saya menjejakkan kaki ke tanah Felda Lurah Bilut yang bersejarah ini.
Jalanraya Bentong ke Raub ini memang agak merbahaya kerana tidak ada pembahagi jalan bagi arus trafik berlawanan arah ini. Kebanyakan kenderaan dipandu dengan agak laju dan merbahaya.
Andainya pembaca memandu di jalanraya ini, saya nasihatkan supaya anda tumpukan perhatian kepada pemanduan dan jangan leka atau mengantuk walau barang sesaat!
Semoga Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala memelihara anda semasa didalam perjalanan di jalanraya ini. Amin.
Agak teruja seketika saya ini bilamana memandang papantanda menunjukkan arah ke Lurah Bilut, projek Felda pertama didalam sejarah negara kita di kanan jalanraya dari Bentong ke Raub.
Saya berhenti di tepian jalan untuk mengambil gambar dan bertekad untuk pergi melawat Felda Lurah Bilut pada suatu hari nanti.
Jika ada peneroka Felda Lurah Bilut yang membaca artikel ini, harap harap sudilah kiranya menjadi hos memandu arah saya bilamana tibanya hari lawatan saya ke Felda Lurah Bilut bersejarah ini, Insya Allah!
Selepas mengambil gambarfoto papantanda itu, saya meneruskan perjalanan kami suami isteri ke arah Raub.
Tujuan asal perjalanan kami ini adalah untuk pergi memenuhi undangan ke majlis perkahwinan rakan pensyarah sekolej isteri saya di Kg Jeruas, Mukim Ulu Dong.
Maka setelah memandu mencari tempatnya, jumpalah kami tempat yang di tuju. Setelah menyampaikan hadiah dari kami dan mengucap selamat kepada pasangan pengantin yang kelihatan seolah 'tenggelam punca' sahaja keduanya, kami merasa sedikit nasi kenduri mereka.
Suasana agak hambar tak sama dengan majlis majlis perkahwinan anak anak saudara kami di Johor Bahru dan di Kuantan. Entahlah!
Mungkin persekitaran Ulu Dong yang heboh dengan kes pembunuhan bekas ADUN Batu Talam Datuk Mazlan Idris oleh bomoh bekas artis Mona Fandey dengan kerjasama suaminya Mohd Affandi dan pembantu khas Juraimi Hussin di sebuah rumah tak bernombor di Kg Peruas, Mukim Ulu Dong pada 6hb Julai 1993 dahulu membuatkan penduduk di situ sebegitu?
Apa apa pun, saya tidak mahu mengambil kisah sangat akan peribadi orang orang disana dan mahu ceria menjelajah kawasan pedalaman ini.
Terpulang kepada orang di sana untuk berperwatakan mengikut citarasa mereka, ya tak? Nasib le Labu......hehehehe...
Selepas meminta diri dari majlis perkahwinan itu, saya terus memandu meninjau persekitaran yang pernah dibanjiri pelapor berita dan jurugambar media massa negara pada bulan Julai, 1993 dahulu.
Saya tiba di hadapan Balai Polis Dong dan berhenti sekejap merakam gambar balai tersebut. Suasana depan balai memang klasik. Macam zaman dulu dulu. Tak berubah.
Saya kemudian menuju ke arah yang menunjukkan papantanda Lata Jarum dan Hutan Rekreasi Pulau Chekas, Ulu Dong.
Selepas memandu seketika sambil menikmati pemandangan suasana desa dengan seribu satu tarikan istimewanya, saya ternampak satu gerai menjual hasil hasil kampong.
Ada dijual sayur bayam, jagung manis, gula kabung bersirap, kelapa tua, gula kabung berbungkus upih, dsbnya.
Saya pun berhenti sekejap dan mengambil beberapa shot gambarfoto peniaga di situ dan suasana sekeliling.
Saya membeli seketul gula kabung berbalut upih yang dijual dengan harga RM5.50. Memang mahal tetapi sebagai kenang kenangan apa salahnya?
Selepas membeli gula kabung itu saya teruskan perjalanan kami, memandu masuk jauh ke dalam pedalaman di Ulu Dong itu.
Kelihatan seorang wanita sedang bertungkus lumus mengacau dodol tradisional didepan rumahnya. Apa lagi?
Berhentilah saya lantas terus pergi merakam video operasi mengacau dodol tersebut. Saya berjanji akan singgah kemudian untuk membeli dodol darinya.
Saya teruskan perjalanan kami, melalui jalan kampong yang disempadani dengan tumbuh tumbuhan asli desa. Terasa ketenangan semasa memandu dijalan kampong sebegitu diselangi deruan enjin motosikal yang ditunggang muda mudi kampong tanpa memakai topi keledar!
Keras kepala gamaknya orang orang Ulu Dong? Brutal! Dari anak anak muda sampai ke orang tua tua yang nampak macam dah nak sadaqallah hal azhim masih tega menunggang kapcai berdesiung ke sana sini! Kelas gitu! Hero hero kampong agaknya? Hehehehe....biarlah!!!
Kereta kami terus meluncur menuju destinasi. Lata Jarum. Nama yang bermain dibenak fikiran saya dan mengharapkan ianya tidak akan mengecewakan jiwa ini yang amat gemar untuk meneroka alam sekitar negara ini dan mandi manda disungai sungai yang masih tidak tercemar dengan kerakusan manusia warga negara Malaysia yang terkenal dengan sikap tidak bertanggungjawab mereka membuang sampah menjahanamkan sungai sungai dan sumber air asli tanahair tercinta!
Tempat tujuan masih belum kelihatan pada mata. Yang jelas kelihatan adalah nun jauh didepan sana hutan hutan menghijau dengan bukit bukit kelihatan berbalam balam menggamit kami supaya lekas tiba sementara hari masih siang.
Sejurus kemudian kami tiba di satu kawasan dimana ada sebuah rumah papan usang tetapi diatas bumbung zinknya tersergam megah pepiring ceper penerima isyarat digital televisyen satelit Astro!!!
Hahahahaha! Jangan main main brader! Rumah biar koman tara mana , Astro tetap kena ada!
Tabik spring kepada tuanrumah itu! Respek habis beb!!! :D
Pepohon pisang memagari kawasan dan memang satu pemandangan yang susah untuk dilupakan!
Saya terus menyerahkan kamera meminta buah hati saya merakam gambar kenangan. First class! Hanya di Malaysia!!!
Saya teruskan pemanduan menuju Lata Jarum, destinasi yang saya cita citakan.
Alhamdulillah, sampai kami ke satu kawasan dimana ada banyak kenderaan diletakkan di tepi jalan. Ada gerai gerai menjual makanan dan minuman.
Saya memilih untuk berhenti sekejap meninjau kawasan. Rupanya tempat itu cuma Jeram Ulu Dong dan masih jauh lagi Lata Jarum yang dicari.
Kami berhenti rehat sekejap dan membeli kuih muih tradisional yang dijual oleh penduduk disana. Saiz kuih kuihnya boleh tahan, besar dan segar. Sedap! 3 seringgit.
Kalau di KL, saiznya kecil sepertiga dari saiz kuih yang dijual di Kawasan Perkelahan Jeram Ulu Dong. Terdengar deruan air sungai membising, memenuhi suasana di persekitaran. Saya sempat mengambil rakaman video untuk kenangan kita bersama dan memuatkannya didalam video di atas.
Saya memesan dua mangkok cendol tetapi orang rumah tak haus jadi batal lah pesanan dua itu tinggal satu sahaja untuk saya. Anak penggerai cendol menyediakan pesanan saya dan mutu persediaan cendolnya boleh tahan. Alhamdulillah. Baru RM1.20 semangkok! Murah tu!!!
Turut dijual muruku dari kekacang pis. Hijau warnanya. Sedap dan rangup. Buatan orang Melayu Ulu Dong. Bijak ! Bijak! Semoga laris perniagaan mereka! Amin.
Bersambong selepas ini. Insya Allah!
Zee Avi & Yuna ~ Malaysian International You Tube New Age Artistes
As a Malaysian, who grew up in the 60s and experienced life where the elders were grooving to the tunes of Malaysian Supremo the late Allahyarham P.Ramlee, the A lompak Agogo gang, the 60's Pop Yeh Yeh icons , Western luminaries such as the Bee Gees, Beatles, the Shadows, Cliff Richard, Paul Anka, Carlos Santana, Freddy Fender, John Denver, Hard Rockers ~ Deep Purple, Bad Company, etc. I had no choice but to listen to the sounds and tunes of my youthful times and reflect back as to how things were back then whenever any of such songs came on air or were being performed on the television.
The availability of such classics online through You Tube surely caters to the needs and wants of mankind worldwide to enjoy listening to sounds and sights of their time like the incomparable black & white movie classics of the Cathay Keris and Shaw Brothers blockbusters featuring Allahyarham Tan Sri Dr.P.Ramlee and all other legendary superstars of an age gone by.
Life now is in the 21st Century and with it comes a new set of music makers and singer song writers who strum their way into the hearts and minds of the musically inclined folks both here in Malaysia and the global scene.
I came across this Malaysian lass who goes by the nickname of Zee Avi hailing from Sarawak, who has made quite a name for herself here in You Tube and who is now living in the United States of America having been discovered by Brushfire Records & Monotone Records and now on a whirlwind tour there.
Then there is this other Malaysian singer who has quite a following herself on You Tube called Yuna.
Life is but a continuously changing kaleidoscope of events, norms and tendencies that evolve from one generation to the other bringing with it new forms and manners of human behaviour and customs that take a life of their own through general acceptance and adherence to the society's free will and submission to the forces of change that take place practically throughout the world.
These New Age singers cropping up from within Malaysia reflect that change and whether one likes it or not one has to accord to each their choice of expressions carried out through the present world of music.
No matter how we look at it, music continues to reverberate in rhythm and harmony just as the regular thump thump thump of our heartbeat.
He who put it there knows best as to where the heart and mind of Man can be best utilized towards His Remembrance?
For now, just reflect and ponder as to what is being sung here by these Malaysian stars?
Mahaguru58 Comment Policy
State upfront as to who you are and where you blog?
This is the benchmark of personal integrity and self honor.
I am sick and tired of having to answer anonymous folks who do not have the integrity to identify themselves when asking sensitive questions to me or touch upon Islam and Muslims.
Those who are just cyber snipers and not brave enough to identify themselves do not merit any answers or response.
I do reiterate that it is I who decides as to whether to respond or publish any comments that are posted here to me based upon their context and relevance to matters raised in my blog!
This policy is herewith set as my comment policy. Thank you.
Mahaguru58's Comment Policy
Main criteria for consideration of any comments received is the context, content and relevance to the topic of the article posted.
Please remember that it is my prerogative in publishing or deleting any comments that I receive.
Thank you.
