Muslim, Mukmin, Mukhlisin...Munafiqin?

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

In these End Times, it is inevitable that we come across so many of those who despite calling themselves as Muslims live a life devoid of any resemblance to that which is identified with as an Islamic lifestyle.

Lacking a supreme leader @ the Khalifah, Muslims of today live according to the dictates of their nafs ~ ego and most end up clueless about their faith or creed that is known as Al Islam.

Islamic principles in most Muslims nowadays has been reduced to be just a superficial set of values in the average Muslim individual and most Muslims today are just a shell of what we once were.

The strong religious creed that was once the foundation of faith in anyone who claims to be a servant of Allah Azza Wa Jalla is now just a facade of dressing as one, pretending to be one and putting up a show of subservience to the Almighty on special events and occasions.

How do we define as to who is a true Muslim and firm believer in Allahu Ta'ala and obeying the enjoinments of His Final and Greatest Messenger to all mankind through the ages?

The way some so called Muslims live a life devoid of all the attributes of a believer is so apparent these days that one could be excused if one fails to identify so and so to be a Muslim what more of being a true Mukmin?

To those who do not know the difference between these two terms ~ Muslim and Mukmin, come learn about these definitions clearly.

A Muslim or Muslimah is one who claims to believe in Allah the Almighty and follow the example shown to us by the Blessed Messenger of Allah, the Prophet Muhammad ibni Abdullah, Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam.

Most folks fall under this category and their daily lives would be a run of the mill life as any other believers live where they are the ones who have declared their Syahadah and put to practice as best as they can the other 4 obligations of being a Believer. There are 5 basic requirements to be or become a Muslim. The 5 Principles of Islam.

These are :
  1. Declaring and having faith that there is no god except Allahu Ta'ala and believing in Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam being the Final and Greatest Messenger of Allah for all mankind.
  2. Praying the 5 daily prayers ~ Fajr @ Subuh, Dzohor, Asar, Maghrib and `Isya.
  3. Fasting in the blessed holy month of Ramadhan.
  4. Paying zakat ~ charity @ 2.5% out of one's wealth
  5. Performing the Haj pilgrimage to Makkah and Madinah at least once in one's lifetime if he or she can afford it and fulfill all conditions for such a journey.
In addition to observing all 5 Principles of Islam stated above, a true Believer must also have faith in the following 6 Principles of Iman ~ Faith.

They are :
  1. Belief in Allah as Our Supreme and Only Lord
  2. Belief in Allah's Messenger (s)
  3. Belief in the Malaikats (Angels)
  4. Belief in the Holy Scriptures (Al Qur'an)
  5. Belief in the Yaum al Qiyamah ( Doomsday)
  6. Belief in Qada' and Qadar (Destiny)
These are the core principles which define a person's belief in Allahu Ta'ala and what he or she needs to do to qualify as a true Muslim or Muslimah, Mukminin or Mukminah, etc.?

A Mukmin on the other hand is one who is totally committed to living the life as a true believer in Allah and the individual is consistent with his faith and religious practices and obligations. He or she stays clear of involving him or herself with anything that is haram ~ forbidden and strives to improve his or her lot in life by studying hard to gain all the relevant knowledge and `Ilm of Islam and teaching such knowledge to others and engaging in the propagation and spreading of the Deen of Allah ~ Islam to all those whom they can reach by any means possible.

The Mukmin stay firm and resolute in their practices of true Islamic teachings and are a pillar of the embodiment of all that is taught in Islam. They strive endlessly to put to practice what they preach and are respected both by their friends or enemies for their unshakable faith in Allah Ar Rahman, Ar Raheem.

There is another category of Muslims known as the Mukhlisin. These dedicated believers are amongst the cream of the crop so to speak and they are very committed to the faith of Islam. These special folk dedicate their total and entire lives to nothing but glorifying Allahu Ta'ala and live, breathe, eat, sleep, etc. solely to seek His Pleasure.

They are the ones who strive day in and day out to uphold the faith of Al Islam and are not concerned too much about the pleasures of this world or even the next. They go all out to see to it that Islam is understood and put to practice by their fellow believers and are willing to run the gauntlet in order to succeed in their visions and missions purely for the sake of Allahu Ta'ala.

Yet again, all the above definitions are what we as human beings are taught to evaluate them based upon what we perceive of such fellow beings with regard to the way that they live their lives or have come to conclude as to the way they have acted upon their chosen lifestyles?

Who are we to judge others when we ourselves know definitely that we are all not infallible? I have never claimed to be one. Despite my having chosen a nickname here online that many mistakenly deduce me to believe that I am one? Its just a nickname for Allah's Sake! I added the numerals '58' to offset any such notions or claim of my being anywhere even remotely close to being free from error or sins.

Wallahi! He Knows me best. So, please stick to what I share and to the validity of my articles contents?

Ponder upon the meanings and try to understand what exactly am I sharing or stating?

These are very challenging times for us being the Children of the Prophet Adam Alaihis Salam.

It is important for us who realize the gravity of being a human being living in these End Times ~ the Akhirul Zaman.

The challenges which we face in trying to toe the line of being a Believer in Allahu Ta'ala and attempt to follow the Path of Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam is no walk in the park, believe me!

The arduous tasks of being a Muslim in these Age of Trials and Tribulations has reached the peak of intolerance from amongst those who have yet to know or learn of what Islam really is?

Muslims all over the world are being pushed into a corner literally as prophesied by our Khatamun Nabiyyi Sayyidul Mursalin Muhammad al Mustafa, Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam almost a thousand our hundred over years ago!

No other group or community of people have been discriminated against as much as the Muslims of this Earth.

The divided communities of the Muslims today have brought upon themselves the misfortune of oppression and victimization that is a direct result of our divisiveness.

For all the vast numbers of Muslims living today in this whole wide world, we have become exactly as the foam of the ocean waves which Muhammad, our Blessed Prophet warned us about a thousand four hundred over years ago!

Even here in Malaysia, Muslims are so divided into this party and that, this jamaah and that, this group and that, to such an extent that although they may all pray in the same masjid, their loyalties and inclinations towards whatever movement they have attached themselves to, renders them apart at the very slightest of conflict or dispute amongst themselves and we have heard or read of reports where these very same so called Muslims have come to blows even within the hallowed prayer halls of masjids here in Malaysia!

This is not even taking into account the devilish designs of those whom we can only categorize to be the Munafiqeens.

Na'uzubillahiminzalik!

These are the very dangerous type of human beings who in spite of putting up a religious front amongst the ummah, work towards destroying us from within our ranks.

These demons in human form work slyly towards creating divisions amongst us by instigating or provoking the ummah to go after each others throats metaphorically speaking in dealing with issues and concerns that affect each and every one of us in our daily lives.

Now, that is really scary.

We can't really know as to who is so and so until and unless their actions expose their treachery towards us the Muslim ummah?

Nowadays, these parasites are manifesting their presence without realizing it when they vomit their vile thoughts and plans against us by disclosing such evil designs against us by way of their writings online.

Only those of us who have lived to a certain age and know the difference between what is deemed to be permitted and what is forbidden through our years of life's experiences get to realize the true characteristics of such enemies of Allah and Islam?

Even then, we try to be careful in not jumping to conclusions and assuming this or that about those said individuals.

Even though ultimately it is Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala Himself who decides as to the state of faith of any such human being, Muslim bloggers who strives to improve ourselves by acquiring and gaining knowledge of Al Islam and sharing such information with others, ought to also warn others when he or she knows for sure that so and so is weaving misinformation online by manipulating information to suit his or her agenda online.

How do you do that?

By equipping oneself with relevant information and knowledge based upon the truth and to disseminate such data through correctly worded articles and writings that convey the reality of the situation and grounded in facts and not fiction.

May this posting be a source of reflection by all concerned Muslims worldwide and a reminder to each and every one of us to be alert to the evil ones amongst the ummah who seek to sow the seeds of discord and disunity in the hearts and minds of blog going readers to further their self interests and misguided causes.

Ameen.
