She explains very clearly in the following first part of her lecture as to why Muslim women are in actuality the most liberated women on Earth?
Her own experiences are shared eloquently and in a manner that is both pleasant to hear and easy to understand. Her sources are The Holy Qur'an and Sunnah of the Blessed Prophet of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Listen and learn. Insya Allah!
See how appropriate and aptly she answers her questioners and how relaxed and with full of wisdom, she responded to her audience.
May Allah Azza Wa Jalla bless her soul for the exemplary and excellent work she did for the American people and the rest of the world in coming to accept and understand Islam for what it really is and not what it is at times made out to be!
Sister Amina Assilmi passed away on the 5th of March, 2013 in a traffic accident. She was 65 years old. Amina Assilmi was a Cherokee Indian native American Muslim leader.
She was the President of The International Union of Muslim Women. She was also instrumental in getting the US Postal Services recognize and issue the first ever US Postal stamp featuring the Muslim Eid festive days.
She was highly respected by the US Congressmen and women and often consulted by The White House in relation to American Muslim affairs and issues.
Amina Assilmi was often invited to speak at events, seminars and Comparative Religion forums worldwide.
Her passing away is a great loss to the Muslim world but as Muslims who believe in the Qada and Qadr of Allahu Ta'ala, we accept this loss with patience and pray that our dear sister in Islam, Amina Assilmi is blessed by Allah the Most Compassionate to be amongst those upon whom He Showers His Mercy!
Ameen. Ya Rabbal Alameen.
