PAS courting Tun Dr.Mahathir ? Wake up TG Nik Aziz!

I read about Tuan Guru Nik Aziz Nik Mat's asking his Parti Islam SeMalaysia leaders to befriend the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad.
Tuan Guru Nik Aziz still exerts quite an influence on the direction of his party.

Personally, I feel it's good of Nik Aziz to ask that the young and old of the PAS leadership to come out of their self imposed media blackouts that used to be their norm before and start being open about their feelings and aspirations for their party.

One thing though, they need to be very clear about where they stand as to their party's objectives in setting up an Islamic government in Malaysia when and if they ever get to run this country.

Just talking about an Islamic state but not having the brains and the brawn to go about setting it up will be just a waste of everyone's time, resources and effort.

Old firebrands like Tuan Guru Hj.Hadi Awang do not have the human to human personal approach and in touch with what's really going on in the minds and hearts of the average PAS member and sympathisers.

Gone are the days when kampong folks can sit and gape in awe at all the rhetoric spewing out of the boom voiced speakers of yore like Tuan Guru Hadi Awang or laugh at the bawdy jokes of Mat Sabu and the likes!

With the advent of the internet, multimedia and communication tools, the general public now are more aware of all that's taking place and if anyone tries to pull a fast one on the public, he or she will very soon be found out, grilled by the ever roving press and hung out to dry in the public eye like the keropok lekor laid out in the East Coast sun!

You can only bullshit the people a bit at a time but eventually you'll be found out! Once it happens, people will no longer want to give you any attention; what more follow you like they used to.

Dialogue between PAS leaders and their former adversaries like Tun Dr.Mahathir is alright but what does PAS expect to gain from all this?

Does PAS expect Mahathir to don a ketayap and sit with Nik Aziz and the jama'ah on a PAS stage and then stand up to condemn Pak Lah and Najib Tun Razak about why the hell have the BN government shelved all of Tun's major projects , etcetera?

Nik Aziz needs to wake up from his noon siesta. Tun Dr.Mahathir is a seasoned politician. He doesn't need to 'pelok Arab' with anyone. All he's doing at the moment is just watching out for his 'pet projects' and his reputation! He doesn't give a hoot about PAS and personally, I think he never will!

PAS will do better to put it's grassroots organisation in the proper perspectives. Select good people to man it's very basic down to earth party committees.

Teach them the basics of Islam and raise up good Da'ee's. Educate them and teach them all the skills necessary to keep up with the times . Teach them to use computers, IT, the latest technologies. Equip them with people skills. Select only those who are sincere and not grab any of the UMNO has beens or PKR rejects.

Once the grassroots are firm and steady, then further add language skills to the party members.

Learn good Malay, English, Mandarin, Hokkien, Cantonese, Teochew, Hindi , even Tamil if they want and then go out to the masses.

Learn to listen to what the Malaysian people want, fear and wish for the future of themselves and their children.

Only by winning the people's hearts and minds and being sincere about it will PAS ever stand a fighting chance to ever succeed in their political aspirations. And one last but most important thing, PAS needs to be really, really humble going about all these things.

Forget the past, realise the present and work towards the future!

God willing, you might get what you wish for. Just putting to print what I think about this.

When Mahathir was kicked out off UMNO in 1969 he crawled to PAS so as to be heard.Mahathir, suddenly turned to his enemies to make friends. There shouldnt be much problem as long as Mahathir doesnt take over the presidentship of PAS.

Off course PAS doesnt expect Mahathir to don a ketayap and sit with Nik Aziz and the jema'ah on a PAS stage, but the fact that Mahathir is sharing the same platform with PAS is making Pak Lah & his UMNO goons having sleepless nights.

Sure enough PAS isnt that stupid to kow tow to this old man who once denied Petro ringgit to a legitimate gomen in power then & PAS understand that & can do much better than that.

Let's hope so brother Ali.

PAS has been getting the short end of the stick far too long.

They got screwed in Terengganu when the royalties due to the State Government which was in their power during Mahathir's time was denied to them.

Still, if you take a drive from Cherating and pass into the border town of Kemaman, Terengganu, you can see the difference right away from the way the road transforms into a better looking and well managed system than the one of the BN controlled Pahang.

PAS need to learn from all the screwups they did in the past due to ill informed and opinionated leaders at the grassroots and state levels.

Tuan Guru Haji Hadi needs to shed his hardline approach and be more people friendly.

Things change, times change. If PAS wants to achieve anything, they've got to go with the flow but not capitulate to the demands of the liberals and the bloody munafiks who are growing in larger numbers amidst us by the day!

It's not gonna be easy for the men in green but hey, if you want something real bad, you've got to be prepared to go all out!

It's got to be all the way or don't bother!

Let's hope Nik Aziz is alert to any timebombs that Tun has in his gameplan, cosying up to the Opposition.

I don't think Mahathir will join PAS. The chances, if he get sacked, he will be a man opposition party or someone else may open a party where he will not be a member just like what Anwar initially did to ADIL.

I am not sure when Anwar joined ADIL. Anyone?

When TDM took PAS's platforn, PAS was more like an UMNO party then. As PAS was then an intended wing of UMNO for areas where Malays are a big majority, like TErengganu and Kelantan, until the Young Turks then decided to take PAS put of BN and later kicked ASRI and the gang.
