Islam is your birthright - Part 3

Another question that many Non Muslims especially those coming from the Western nations are always asking is ' Why Islam is against the gays, homosexuals and lesbians? :P

Pretty touchy subject especially in Ramadhan , don't you say so?

Well, it's all a matter of how one explains it!

Like the Malay parable of old : 'Bagaikan menarik rambut dari tepong! Jika disentap akan terputus rambut tersebut dan tepong kan berselerak! Maka hendak lah berhati hati menariknya!'
meaning ' As pulling a hair from the flour ; if you pull it hard, the hair might snap and scatter the flour! We should pull it with care!

The above parable signifies handling a touchy situation with the utmost of wisdom and care. So how do I as a da'ee handle this nitro-glycerine like question? :P

With wisdom and a touch of wit! Hehehehehe...

I will see if there's a 3 pin wall socket nearby (if I am in the masjid or any other building where electricity is being supplied and the wall has the electrical sockets and any fan or electrical appliances plugged in).

I will draw their attention to the 3 pin plug (a handphone battery charger would do a perfect job but the 3 pin plug example will do).

I will say ' Okay, let's say this plug represents a male. Now this wall socket represents a female.

If we take this plug and push it into the socket, it will fit in snugly. Agree? A perfect fit, right?'

Naturally, all present would nod their heads in agreement. Good. :)

I would then say,' So is the reason God created us mankind as male and female. We complement each other. Right?'

Again, we would have bobbing heads all around, just like those dolls we see which go up and down when we give them a slight push! :) Wonderful!

'Okay, now that we have this plug fitted in nicely into the wall socket, we need to flip on the switch to make the electricity flow and work the appliance to which the plug is connected, don't we?'

Again, everyone would naturally agree...unless we have a smart alec or a real 'don't know what's happening ' kind of person with us! :P

You see, to me that electrical supply represents blessed holy matrimonial ties. I use it as a symbolism to show how holy marriage is important to us.

Without the electricity running through between the plug from the supply coming from the wall socket, this union between the plug and the wall socket would not make the appliance work. So we need to have electricity.

Of course , in real life , people are committing adultery and out of marriage sexual relations just for satisfying their lusts but I am using the example above to illustrate the importance of marriage and the need for mankind to stick to God's Masterplan for us.

Remember, I am trying to answer why Islam forbids homosexuality and lesbianism.

Okay, since I have explained the reasons and symbolism between the plug representing the male and the wall socket representing the female and have established the agreement that that union is a perfect fit and is to be used exactly in the manner to which both appliances have been created to be used as in the first place!

Just as how Our Father, the Prophet Adam Alaihis salam was created as a man with all his attributes and then Our Mother , Saiyidatina Hawwa Radhiallahu Anha was created by Allah SWT with all her attributes making a fitting match and biological mate to him.

From what I learned from my Sufi masters, before Adam AS could touch his mate Hawwa (RaHa), he was asked to take ablution from the Al Khawthar Pool in Paradise and then was married off to our Mother Hawwa (RaHa) with Archangel Jibreel Alaihis Salam as the Kadhi, Allah SWT as the Creator and all the Malaikats (Angels) as the witness to the Nikah!

Hence, our Parents, the Biological Source of all Mankind were joined together in Holy Marriage before God, Allahu Akbar and witnessed by the Malaikats.

Those who learn Tasawwuf might come across this info from their Masters and Syaikhs. Each might differ a bit in their ways of knowledge but the root source is the same.

Adam AS was legally married to Hawwa RaHa before he could consummate his marriage with her by sexual intercourse.

We all learn how circumstances led them to be expelled from the Heavens and they came down to Earth separated from each other. Our Father Adam AS landed on Mt.Kandy in Sri Lanka and to this day, marks of his footprint are embedded in the granite block atop the mountain and preserved by the Buddhist monks there. The place is called Adams Peak and as the Sri Lankan Buddhists are the ones owning access there, they are the ones protecting the place.

We got to see footage of the marks left by Adam AS in the video documentary of Jejak Rasul, a TV3 program.

Tasawwuf knowledge tells us of how Our Father Adam AS cried tears of regret for years and years and how his tears turned into the various gemstones found in Sri Lanka and mined to this days.

Spiritual knowledge and 'logical reasonings' often collide in mankind's attempts to rationalise each and every thing and matter before us today. Scientists and researchers still are baffled as to the reality of the unseen world and attribute such matters as being 'paranormal'.

Easily dismissed off as 'unexplainable'. Even surgeons and medical doctors when exhausted of any other options or actions to be taken in treating their patients will often throw up their hands and say 'It is now in the Hands of God!'

So are the teachings of Tasawwuf. It is only understood or conceived to be understood by those who come to learn and acquire such knowledge based on each person's perceptions.

Back to the subject matter. Our Mother Hawwa RaHa was brought down to Earth in what is now known as the Plains of Arafat, Arabia.

After a certain period of mourning in repentance by both Adam and Hawwa, they met on Jabal Rahma near Makkah when Adam AS travelled from Ceylon @ Sri Lanka, passed through India , and other lands till he reached his wife, Hawwa RaHa at the top of the Jabal Rahma.

Both cried tears of joy upon seeing each other and they set up home near the place where now stands the Holy Ka'aba. Adam AS was commanded to build the first Ka'aba by Allah SWT and he raised up the structure with the help of the Malaikats @ Angels.

After completing the structure, Adam AS was instructed in the manners of praying the solat by Jibreel AS and taught to circumbulate the Ka'aba counterclockwise whilst praising God Almighty as we see being practiced to this day by the Pilgrims to Hajj!

The foundation of the Ka'aba is said to be the most central part of Planet Earth. Why it is chosen to be so, is only known to Allah SWT.

The Ka'aba is not worshipped on its own. It is just a central focus point for us to direct ourselves to when performing our Solat from all corners and parts of the world.

Back to the subject.

I then will ask them (the visitors) as to what can we gain by taking two of those 3 pin plugs and rubbing them against each other?

Can we get anything to work? Surely not! Then I'd use the example of taking two of the wall sockets and try to rub them against each other! Could we make anything to work? Again the answer is negative.

I'd use the examples of how a man ; if he were to engage in homosexuality. Yes, he'd attain sexual gratification through such an abominable act of penetrating another man in the vilest place on a human's body. His exit point for excretion.

Is there any use for such a disgusting act? Makes us want to throw up just writing about it!

The holy act of sexual intercourse which is the blessed way to conceive a child and from there to continue our forefather's lineage and family history going back all the way to our Father Adam AS and our Mother Siti Hawwa RaHa.

Accepted and recognised by society all over the world as the lawful and legitimate offsprings as the result of a blessed marriage between so and so, the child can stand up with honor, self dignity and pride proclaiming that he or she is the son or daughter of so and so without shame.

We now turn to the act of lesbianism. A woman rubbing herself raw against another defeats the very purpose for which she has been created. Such disgusting behaviour also comes home to roost that nothing useful will arise out of that idiotic act save for sore genitalia and spent energy and wastage of their procreative essence.

I will then deliver the knockout punchline! Be ready for this. :)

I'd say to the one advocating 'homosexuality'.

"If your father had been a homosexual ; you would not exist here today, speaking to me!

You would not have been conceived by your mother for your father would have wasted his sperms into some other homo's anal region and so would some other homosexual have deposited his sources into your father's!

You would not have come to being! Do you agree?"

Any rational, sensible person would easily agree for it is the truth! TRUTH speaks louder than illogical assumptions etcetera!

End of argument as to the reasons why Islam forbids homosexuality! Period!

Now, I'd turn my attention to the one advocating Lesbianism.

"If your mother had been a lesbian, you would not be here! Right now! Speaking or listening to me. Agreed?

The person will again nod in agreement. No doubts, no if's , no maybe's! Straight for the jugular, so to speak!

"Your mother would not have conceived you and if she was a lesbian, that's the end of the family lineage right up to her. End of story.

The family tree will come to an abrupt stop and end with the homosexual male and the lesbian female accordingly in each of their family tree and lineage!

It takes knowledge, wisdom and self confidence to be able to speak about such a touchy, sensitive and challenging subject to people we have just met a couple of minutes ago.

What more when it takes place in a holy place of worship such as a mosque.

It is therefore very, very important for anyone who wants to be a Caller to Islam, to be a person who knows how to deal with others and knows how not to offend anyone in the process of disseminating truthful information about Islam and defend his or her faith with wisdom, wit and humor whilst maintaining a proper decorum in doing it.

It takes years of practice, coming to terms with the human nature, learning to 'rock and roll' with the egos of the human being yet not forfeiting an iota of the respect and honor of Ad Deenul Haqq, Islam, the Way of God Almighty, Allahu Akbar, Al Aliyyul Azhim!

Never ever hurt anyone's feelings by being insensitive and by being brash when carrying out Dakwah.

You are responsible to Allah SWT if you screw up by hurting the one who comes to the mosque seeking truth and knowledge.

Always be humble in your speech, be courteous and respectful to our visitors. Honor them and accord them the respect and proper courtesy that they deserve for they are our guests and as such deserve to be treated with love, understanding and the utmost kindness.

Insya Allah, God Almighty will open up both your heart and theirs with His Guidance and Knowledge, Ameen Ya Rabbal Alameen.

I coined up this phrase to sum it all up.

'Dakwah is like plunging your spear of truth deep into the hearts of those who are yet to learn about Islam, but to know how to withdraw that spear of realisation without drawing a single drop of blood, doing so!'
Mahaguru58.
May Allah SWT Bless us all. Ameen.

Thanks for sharing your views. As a Christian, I share your view and common religious teaching that God forbids homosexuality. We have all been made male and female for His purpose and not for us to act on our own desires and purposes. It is sad that the world (not just western nations) continues to fall and the concept of homosexuality is promoted or condoned. I would not go to the extent of condemning those who practise homosexuality though but rather, would pray that they will come to know that such acts do not come to fruition (which you have well illustrated).

Dear Brother pablopabla,

All Praises be to Allah, Almighty God for bringing us together in spirit and common understanding.

As a father, you have now ensured the continuity of your family's lineage and from your children, God Willing, the chain will continue.

People who unfortunately have chosen such abominable trends as to engage in lesbianism and homosexuality are only ending their family's generations right there with them.

Some are victims of circumstances, some do so with misguided beliefs that it is the 'in thing' to do or whatever.

History records that most of those who choose such a lifestyle end up hurt, abused, degraded and shunned by society.

I hope that my writings can help those having those tendencies and get to read this posting will reconsider their leanings and return to their rights to live as God intends them to be as respectful members of the humankind.

Thanks for commenting.

You are always welcome to share your thoughts with me.

May God bless us all with guidance and peace in our hearts! Ameen.

my question is why God create homosexuals and lesbians in the first place if they are condemned sinner afterall all human beings are 'children' of God.In my opinion, homosexuality is not acquired lifestyle but genetically explainable,it about X,Y chromosome which determine their tendency, my next question is, do they have the same rights as other.?

mahaguru58 said...

Blogger pro-rights,

I beg to differ with you on that point.

God doesn't create homosexuals or lesbians in the first place.

Each and every humanbeing is created pure and free from sin and everyone is today where we are as a result of our own choice and determinations.

The Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam reminds us humanbeings that each child is born free from sin and it is the parents or the guardians who raise the child up to become a Muslim, a Christian, a Majusi (Fire Worshippers) etcetera.

Each of us are taught and trained by those who took care of us when we knew nothing.

To give you an example according to our present times, the newborn baby is as a rewritable blank cd-rom.

Whatever is burned into the cd in the first place gets to stay in it and when we play it in our pc , the contents will run accordingly.

Homosexuality and Lesbianism is an acquired trait. It is a chosen behaviour and the individual makes the decision to be so him or herself!

The situation is because at the formative stage of such a forbidden mannerism taking root in the person, those who have the authority or power to dictate to him or her failed to nip the problem in the bud!

When the tendencies to behave and act as a homosexual or as a lesbian have taken root and sunk into the very fibres of the individual, it will then be a very complex situation to reverse and only by very firm, systematic rehabilitation and personal commitment by the very individual can reformat their selfs and personalities.

I know of a few persons in my life who were normal men when they were young, started mixing with the 'wrong crowd' and got influenced by them and eventually started exhibiting and morphed into 'softies' and went on to be what we call as 'pondans'.

The mannerisms, the physical changes they caused themselves to make like taking certain hormone pills to develop their breasts, change their mannerisms, their walk and try to change their facial appearances, all by their own awareness and willful decisions.

These persons I am telling you about then saw that what they did was wrong and they started to reverse the process. They stopped behaving as a gay or pondan and started coming to the mosque and started being as any other men are.

The challenges are tremendous and it takes very strong willpower on their parts to ignore the snickering, the whisperings, snide remarks being made against them by those who have nothing better to do than to mock and ridicule others instead of helping them out, no matter whether it be in the mosque, church or temple!

Now, I hear that they are back as normal and although every now and then, a slip up may take place by way of speech or mannerism, they are still much more better than when they were engaging in those disastrous tendencies.

Mocking them and ridiculing them isn't going to help them return to their basic selfs as normal men.

Back to the 'homos' and 'lesbos'.

People who choose to be so do so out of their own free will or are influenced by others.

No one is created as a homosexual or as a lesbian by God!

Would He create something as such and then condemn the very creation by Him in the first place?

No! God Almighty so loves us His Creation that He doesn't force Himself upon us.

Allah the Almighty instead has given us the Freedom of Choice.

We decide whether we want to do this or that.

I can go on and on giving you examples after examples but I will stop with this for the moment.

As to your questions about their rights as compared to others in society, I understand that as far as the legal procedures are concerned with Laws of this land, it is an offense for a man to act as a woman.

It is called as impersonating a woman and when caught prostituting themselves, they are charged according to the laws.

As for a lesbian, I have yet to hear of any lesbian being charged in court for doing so.

Perhaps our lawyer friend pablopabla if he is reading this can help us out.

With that, I wish to reiterate that God does not create homos and lesbos.

They do so on their own conviction and personal choice.

In the Qur'an, God says ' I will not change the Fate of Mankind until Mankind changes it him or herself'

Hope you are a bit clearer about the subject now.

Wishing you the best and ready to help if you have any further queries.

Take care and May God guide us all, Ameen.

Dear pro-rights,

I echo Mahaguru58's view that God does not create homosexuals. This is also the biblical view on this matter.

You may want to find out more from the Focus on the Family website / books by Dr. James Dobson which explains about how boys are to be brought up. The book / study is called "Bringing Up Boys" and it explains that it is important to bring up a child correctly at the formative stage. Studies have shown that homosexuality is brought up by conditioning and not attributed directly to genetical factors.

As for the law part, whilst I am a lawyer, I am afraid this area of the law is out of my expertise :)

Cheers!

So are you sayig that god has a limitatio :- He does not create homos but human has greater power to outmaneuver god's will?

mahaguru58 said...

Not really Veronica!

God leaves it to us to decide who we wanna be.

He gives us the Faculties of Reason to differentiate between Good and Bad, Useful and Wasteful, Tanglible and Intangible, etc.

God doesn't however just leave us to flounder here and there without guidance.

God has been sending to Mankind through the Annals of Time, Prophets and Messengers to show us the Way.

He has revealed to Mankind through His Chosen Messengers Holy Books to be used as Mankind's Manual as to how to live their lifes.

He sent the Zabur to Prophet Daud Alihis Salam @ King David, The Taurat to Prophet Musa Alaihis Salam @ Moses (peace be upon him), the Injeel to Prophet Eesa ibni Maryam Alaihis Salam @ Jesus Christ the Messiah ,Son of Mary the Virgin Mother and the Last and Final Testament that overrides and supercedes all the earlier Revelations to His Final and Greatest Messenger Prophet Muhammad the Unlettered Prophet, the Holy Qur'an that is to be the Only Holy Book of God to be followed!

The thing is that a large majority of Mankind have chosen to follow their egos and refuse to submit to God's Laws and as a result, today , we see Mankind engaging in such deplorable practices and destroy not only themselves in the process but also end their respective families lineage and heritage by becoming homosexuals and lesbians.

History records what befell all those who lived before us.

Rational people will see the beauty of God's Laws and know which way to follow instead of falling prey to their own Egos and end up destroying themselves and their future.

If God so Wills, each and every living being will be a Muslim but God does not impose Himself on us.

Mankind have been given a most important task here on Earth.

God has appointed us to be the vicegerents of Him here on Earth.

Those who follow His Commandments are assured of a fitting end to their temporal presence on Earth as He has Promised in His Qur'an to us.

Those who choose to Deny God, will find out consequently what their obstinacy will return to them.

Do some study on all that I have said here by researching the Quran online or get yourself a free copy from any of the Islamic NGOs.

A good source will be the Islamic Counsellor, Saudi Arabian Embassy, here in KL.

They give out free copies of the Quran in English, Malay, Mandarin, Tamil, Urdu translations.

Call Ustaz Zainol (not me ) at 019-202 8918.

He handles the section there.

Hope you will learn about all these things before coming to any conclusions abt anything.

Email me if u need more info. Will be glad to help you out.

Have a nice day Veronica.

May God guide us all. Amen.

Weird, to blame sin on the Creation of God. Not every Western book you read out there represent the truth. Some are half tuths, some are made-up truths, some are blatant lies. I as a person have encountered (funny, I never get close to actually being freinds with gays or lesbians) lesbos and gays and I tell you, they are unnatural. Hard core penkik (lesbians wannabe men) and you ask my husband whether they are genetically wired to be men, he'd say no, SHE is trying TOO HARD. Same goes for me who apparently are more women than women themselves. Acting and trying VERY hard I tell you.

But I do admit, it could be some birth defects that causes them to be lembut or some sort. That's a characteristic, not a sexual orientation. These things can be cured, only if they go to the right people. And there are people who are cured of them.

Of course God gave us Free Will. We are above animals, we have intelligence; we are above Angels, because we have free will, the Anglels don't.

Everything we do in life is our decision, and as a Muslim we believe we will be accountable for every choice we make.

I'm not asking you to beat up a gay/lesbian person, as a human being, I'd show some humanity treatment for them; but a sin, is still a sin. Homosexuality is unnatural.

mahaguru58 said...

Very wise observations Meriza!

It is good to know that out there, there are some people like you who know that such tendencies aren't because Allah Rabbul Jaleel made them to be so.

There are some persons who are born with both genitalia. These people are called as 'Khunsa'.

It is up to the parents to take the necessary steps to correct the matter. They can bring their child with such a condition to the surgeons to have either one of the genitalia removed (as in the male organ) or closed up (as for the female orifice).

The emotional and mental trauma will unfortunately still remain for at the early stage of that child, it will be hard for the parents to know towards which leanings is the child prone to.

As a male or as a female?

That is the one situation where genetic defects can be attributed to but then again it wouldn't run in the family.

That's a matter one can say is God's Will.

Even then, mankind still has an option to choose.

If the parents didn't do anything and allowed the child to grow up as an adult, then naturally, the person will have developed the manly or female characteristics he or she has chose to be and the proper step to take will be to go for an operation.

In the days of before, such a condition would have been kept secret and the person would have lived a very secretive, miserable life.

In today's modern world where surgical procedures and technological advances have been made tremendously in leaps and bounds, the Khunsa is in a situation where only financial needs would stop them from choosing whether they would like to be a 'he' or a 'she'.

Still, we have to understand the emotional ups and downs, a person like that have to go through.

Trapped in between, it is only the firm decisions they make and put their hearts and minds to achieve their chosen sexual orientation.

The malady facing 'normal' people today is that they knowingly , out of their own sexual frustrations or orintation by mixing with certain groups and types of people, willingly make their decisions to be this or that.

As Meriza mentioned, there are here in Malaysia, a certain number of women who try to become men by cropping their hairs short, wear men's clothes, wrap up their bosom , wear manly looking boots and try to act and portray themselves as men. The term we know them by is 'pengkid'.

These women will go tackle women and befriend them, act as a couple and the 'pengkid' almost always is extra aggressive in their mannerisms and are known to even get into fights with natural men over their 'girlfriends'.

Where is this kind of sick, weird relationship gonna end up?

As Meriza aptly said, it is just another front for lesbianism. Two sore female genitalias will be the result and nothing positive can ever come up from such a sinful union!

Humanbeings can turn from being the best of God's Creation into the worst!

Even animals do not engage in such horrible sexual practices!

I have yet to learn of any species of the animal kind that practices sodomy or lesbianism.

I conclude this reply with an advice to those who are unfortunately misguided into living such a wasteful, sinful, torturous, distructive orientation.

Stop the rot! Return to your 'fitrah' @ natural status that God created you to be. Reverse the damaging process.

You can do it. There's a whole world out there that is still worth living.

There are persons in society you can go to for help. Go seek help from your local Imam, priest, doctor, counsellor, whatsoever.

You must however be on the alert for those out there who would want to take advantage of you.

We do hear of the culprits who commit criminal breach of trust by harming the very persons they are entrusted to heal and to protect.

Such is this world. It can be very cruel but also very kind. Be wise.

Tread with care. I wish those of you who are suffering in silence to take control of your lifes.

You can do it. No one else will come forward and change things for you except yourself!

Where there's a will, Insya Allah, there'll definitely be a way out of your predicament!

May God bless us and guide us all.

Ameen.
