Azhar Mansor needs to clear the confusion!

The recent Malaysian people's reactions in response to the fraudulent SMS's about a 100 Malays being 'baptised' in an Ipoh Christian Church headed by the 'reportedly' turned apostate Datuk Azhar Mansor is referred!

Malaysia's Muslims are at a very easily swayed situation by any such news for reasons we all know - that being the case of Azalina Jailani @ Lina Joy's application to register her apostasy 'officially' and the resulting hue and cry by the Muslims over this affront by her to dare do so in this 'Islamic Nation'!

Tensions that are currently building up in the hearts and minds of both Christians and Muslims are further fuelled by the reluctance of Datuk Azhar Mansor to come clean and state his true position upfront to the whole wide world!

Nobody would give a hoot to anyone else either believing in God or any rock or tree in the deepest jungles because he or she would be not exposed to the public eye and it would be a matter between that individual and God Almighty!

Datuk Azhar Mansor came into public scrutiny following the report by the Sydney Anglican Church that he has become a Christian and apostated from Islam whilst on his solo round the world sail a few years back!

I am of the opinion that Azhar Mansor has a civic duty to the entire world about his true state of belief or disbelief and come clean with what is his real position?

As a Muslim, I have no reservations in declaring to the whole wide world as to who I believe to be My Creator?

I declare that 'There is No God but Allah!' and that 'Muhammad is His Messenger!'
What's so hard about that?

Azhar Mansor's reluctance to state his true status as to whether he is still a Muslim or now a 'Murtad' as is being rumoured, just adds to the confusion and is not a responsible thing to do!

He has no need to fear if he is still a Mukmin! If he is confused about his true convictions, then the best thing for him to do is to go seek counsel with his religious teacher or anyone whom he trusts.

'As for those who strive hard in Us (Our Cause), We will surely guide them to Our Paths (i.e. Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). And verily, Allah is with the Muhsinun (good doers)"
Surah Al-Ankabut Chapter 29 Verse 69

I call upon brother Azhar Mansor to help clear this matter once and for all and hope that those close to him , advice him to do so for the sake of peace and harmony in this land between the multi ethnic, multi faithed Malaysians!

It is ironic that he chose to not seize the moment the other day when he was asked about his true nature as being a Muslim or otherwise and had his brother state vehemently that his brother Azhar Mansor is still a practicing Muslim and none should be spreading rumors that he is now a Murtad from Islam!

Again I have to quote the Malay parable ' Berani kerana benar ; takut jika bersalah!' which means 'Being brave because one is truthful (and innocent) and being scared because of guilt'!

One's good name and reputation is much more important than anything else, isn't it?

Only the Almighty knows for sure as to what Azhar Mansor really is! Wallahu 'alam bissawab!

so what if mansor has turned christian.

let's assume that he did.

and he did it out of his own .
conviction.

he did not force anyone else to convert.

he did not proclaim to the world "hey guys look Islam is not for me, Christianity is". he did it quietly.

Are we going to deny him the right to live his life as how he chooses to be the right way?

And quietly too away from Islamic narrow mindedness that we have here in Malaysia?

And lastly, we think that we're doing everyone a favor by 'killing'/curing apostates.

If they are not ikhlas in their conviction then I don't know if it's worth the effort.

We're not God to decide who goes to heaven or hell.

It'd be really funny if in the end Mansor goes to heaven and we end up in hell and that too being decided by our own Islamic God.

The decision of death, heaven and hell belongs to God alone.

Not according to today's news article as found in thestar.com.my.

But what if Azhar Mansor has indeed left Islam? Are you of the opinion that he should face the death penalty for being an apostate? Isn't that what Islam requires of an apostate?

Assalamualaikum.

I refer to both Dek Mat and Cahaya's questions regarding the Death Penalty for apostates.

If you are both Muslims in the truest sense , you'd both know that Islam has been revealed to Mankind through the Last Messenger of Allah, the Blessed Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam.

We also know the commandment by Allah SWT for us Muslims to obey the Prophet SAW.

'Obey Allah and the Rasulullah!'.

The Shahadah of a Muslim consists of two parts.

First, the declaration that There is No God but Allah and the second is declaring that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah!

Whoever does not have a 100% trust in the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam and his authentic hadiths need to know that they are guilty of doubting the Prophet SAW!

No muslim worth his or her name will do that, doubting the Prophet.

Hence , in the matter of those who openly declare apostating from Islam and Deny Allah, stand guilty of riddah and as this hadith entails face the capital punishment if after 3 attempts to advice them and lead them to the truth of Islam fails!

Volume 9, Book 84, Number 64:

Narrated 'Ali ibni Abi Talib: "Whenever I tell you a narration from Allah's Apostle, by Allah, I would rather fall down from the sky than ascribe a false statement to him, but if I tell you something between me and you (not a Hadith) then it was indeed a trick (i.e., I may say things just to cheat my enemy).

No doubt I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "During the last days there will appear some young foolish people who will say the best words but their faith will not go beyond their throats (i.e. they will have no faith) and will go out from (leave) their religion as an arrow goes out of the game.

So, whereever you find them, kill them, for whoever kills them shall have their rewards on the Day of the Resurrection."

This is an authentic hadith from
http://tinyurl.com/yz72kx

You still have your doubts?

I can only suggest that you write in to your nearest Mufti and ask him about it.

Truth, no matter how it is challenged, ridiculed, made fun of and whatever other attempts by some persons from the humankind will prevail as and when the time comes!

I believe you gents know where I stand-definitely on the side of the Prophet SAW!

Those who still want to differ , well, they will find out later in the Hereafter! That's guaranteed!

hey,

kalau kamu tu bukan lulusan syariah ataupun a real scholar or ulamak in Islam, jangan kamu nak tempek satu hadeeth satu ayat quran and buat kesimpulan sendiri.

this is what is happening around with muslims nowadays. diorang ingat pergi website hitu hini dan pick and choose mana dia suka, padahal mereka takde background dan no authority to do this already.

mahaguru.... please, for the sake of Islam, do not paste the comments here which misuse the hadeeth and quran which has deviated from the consensus of the esteemed religious scholars. this people must be taught where they stand and not be tolerated to have an intellectual discussion if reasons are not sincere.

I agree with Dek Mat's statement. Dato Azhar Mansor has the right and he is minding his own business.
