I attended a convocation yesterday at the seat of this nation's administrative capital at the sprawling impressive ultramodern Putrajaya.
The ministries of the Government of Malaysia are all well established in the latest state of the art buildings built to the highest standards this side of the world.
You will surely be impressed to see our nation having such splendid infrastructure there and one can't help but appreciate the vision of our nation's former premier and beloved 'dictator' in the person of Tun Dr.Mahathir bin Mohamad for even having it in him to bring about such a change for our nation, in terms of housing our government ministries and agencies in apt surroundings.
As far as infrastructure is concerned, you have to give it to the man for being such an exemplary visionary.
Now, any tourist visiting Putrajaya and Putrajaya only, will return home terribly impressed and thinking 'Wow! Malaysia is truly a well developed nation!'.
Well, that's all right if one looks at just the structures and layout of the administrative capital but the reality that all those buildings would amount to nothing if not inhabited and used by equally outstanding leaders and visionaries in the likes of Tun Mahathir.
Do we have such people amongst the government ministers and officials working there in Putrajaya?
Or are we still saddled by half baked, weak, clueless folks in official looking suits and attire driven by chauffeurs in posh limousines day in and day out, pretending to lead the nation?
As a Muslim, it is just natural for me to long for a Khalifah to lead us one day and I would love to see him rule us from the building featured above.
Malaysia is not short of those who can qualify to be the next Khalifah of the Muslim Ummah but we need to address the prevailing conflicts amongst the Muslims of Malaysia first.
UMNO, PAS, PKR, ABIM, JIM, etc all need to put aside their differences and look into the matters that binds them all together.
That thing is nothing else except being fellow Muslims and the spirit of 'Ikhwanul Muslimin'.
Take Islam away from all the above and what else is there to hold us together?
There is nothing for true Muslims to be so worked up against their brethren!
Aren't we reminded by both Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam in the Al-Qur'an Al Karim and the Hadiths of Muhammad al Mustafa to us to unite as one true jamaah and uphold the Truth of Islam and live in peace and co-operation with one another?
An excerpt from Surah Al-Mu'min :
7. Allatheena yahmiloona alAAarsha waman hawlahu yusabbihoona bihamdi rabbihim wayu/minoona bihi wayastaghfiroona lillatheena amanoo rabbana wasiAAta kulla shay-in rahmatan waAAilman faighfir lillatheena taboo waittabaAAoo sabeelaka waqihim AAathaba aljaheemi
7. Those who sustain the Throne (of Allah and those around it sing glory and praises to their Lord; believe in Him; and implore Forgiveness for those who believe: "Our Lord! Thy Reach is over all things, in Mercy and Knowledge. Forgive, then, those who turn in Repentance, and follow Thy Path; and preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire!Who can we expect to be the suitable candidate to be our next Khalifah? Is Putrajaya capable of delivering to the Muslims of this world, the next Khalifah of Islam?
The seven mandatory criteria for any Muslim to qualify as a Khalifah of the Muslims are :
- Just @ 'Adil
We have all the infrastructures in place. All we need is a suitable true blue capable dynamic Muslim leader with all the above traits and courageous enough to lead the Ummah to success!
Anyone from all the above organizations?
