I am referring to the latest comment by the Sultan of Pahang whereby the Sultan says that Bloggers are the cause of the current political turmoil in this country?
Has the Sultan of Pahang thoroughly researched the causes of the people's frustrations with the most corrupted government that this nation has ever seen since the Declaration of Independence of this country from Great Britain?
For the first time since Time immemorial, we the citizens of this country are having a platform to raise our grouses, the peaceful way.
For the first time, Malaysians are finally getting a platform to really speak our minds and express ourselves in a manner that normal, rational, decent, civil human beings with at least an iota of decorum can appreciate?
For the first time, people who deserve true justice and democracy are able to cut through all the red tape entrenched into this nation's maladministration and reach out to our fellow citizens and share information that is devoid of censorship or fabrication that has been the hallmark of the mainstream ass kissing media and broadcasting propaganda media channels of the ruling regime.
It is easy to label Bloggers as this and that but so can we turn around and give a tit for tat response?
Outspoken we may be but to accuse ALL Bloggers as troublemakers is just a bit too much for me to stomach?
That's like saying that because some members of royalty screwed up and committed murder and other vicious crimes, we ought to say that all members of the royalty are crooks and criminals?
Obviously not! That would be not only unfair but preposterous!
We may have issues with the Malay Royalty as to their lack of fulfilling their royal duties in ensuring that the governments of their states be held in check by them every now and then but they have not done so except in recent times after the 12th Malaysian GE recently as in the Sultanates of Selangor and Perak respectively.
I even wrote in support of that here.
We may be unhappy with the lack of vigorous role of the Malay Sultans in admonishing the corrupt ones in government but we have yet to come to the stage where we rebel or revolt against the Malay Royalties openly? Not that I know of anyway?
We do not however stoop to insulting the Royalty because we still respect the Malay Sultanates for being there.
As Muslims, we must acknowledge that only Allah the Almighty is to be worshipped and revered without the slightest of disrespect but I can't say that for mere mortals who happen to be born into this and that lineage.
If one really studies as to the origin of Mankind, one comes to learn that Mankind comes from one source, our Father, the Prophet of Allah, Saiyidina Adam Alaihis Salam and from his rib, was created our Mother, Saiyidatina Hawwa Radhiallahu Anha.
All these is just to show that before Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala , we are all equal.
There was no Arabian King in the times of the Greatest and Final Messenger of Allah, Khatamun Nabiyyi Saiyidina Muhammad ibni Abdullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam.
Today, we have a Saudi Arabian King, installed by the British and American Colonials. Where did this monarchy spring from? Did they sprout from the desert sands?
My point is that we who are Malaysian Bloggers have not come to the stage where we touch on the subject of Malay Sultanates.
As loyal citizens, we acknowledge the existence of the Malay Sultans and wish that instead of the Malay Sultans demonising the Malaysian Bloggers as this and that, to instead be just in their assessment of the prevailing situations.
The government of Malaysia that we have today is so steeped with corruption and abuses that no one before the advent of Bloggers dared to expose the wrongdoings that has been and is still going on in this land perpetrated by the ones who breached the trusts of the people who voted them in?
After 51 long suffering years, the Malaysian public have finally been able to speak up and speak out against the gross injustice that has been running wild in this land yet here comes the Sultan of Pahang labelling Bloggers as this and that?
Can't Tuanku Sultan Pahang see the real situation here or is Tuanku oblivious to what has been achieved through the Blogosphere?
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala commands us in the Surah Al Imran Chapter 3 Verse 104 in the Holy Qur'an :
104. Waltakun minkum ommatun yadAAoona ila alkhayri waya/muroona bialmaAAroofi wayanhawna AAani almunkari waola-ika humu almuflihoona
104. Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong: They are the ones to attain felicity.Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala again commands us Muslims to speak up against injustice and oppression as per His Commandments in Surah Al Imran Chapter 3 Verse 110 in the Holy Al Qur'an al Karim :
110. Kuntum khayra ommatin okhrijat lilnnasi ta/muroona bialmaAAroofi watanhawna AAani almunkari watu/minoona biAllahi walaw amana ahlu alkitabi lakana khayran lahum minhumu almu/minoona waaktharuhumu alfasiqoona
110. Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah. If only the People of the Book had faith, it were best for them: among them are some who have faith, but most of them are perverted transgressors.Does Tuanku Sultan Pahang not see that is exactly what we Bloggers are doing?
If there are those amongst the Bloggers who publish lies and fabrications against anyone, by all means, take legal action against him or her as per what the laws of this land prescribe since the true Syariah Laws of Almighty Allah aren't being upheld to the letter in this land!
I have stated time and times again that Bloggers ought to be responsible for what we publish and that no one is to be above the law!
I for one choose to submit to the Laws of Allah Azza Wa Jalla, True God Almighty as it is to Him that my soul shall return and be judged for all that I have done here whilst living on Earth!!!
Freedom of information and the Right to Speak Up is enjoined in Islam and also by the authentic Hadith of Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam as per this hadith of the Prophet of Islam:
"Whoever of you sees wrong being committed, let him change it with his hand (i.e. by force). If he is unable to do that, then with his tongue, and if he is unable to do that, then with his heart."
I believe that this is exactly what we Bloggers are doing since we have yet to take up arms to fight evil and corruption being perpetrated against us the citizens of this country?
Would Tuanku Sultan Pahang deem us otherwise?
Verily Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala Knows exactly what or why we Malaysian Bloggers oppose injustice and use our blogs to fight for the truth and justice not only for ourselves but for our fellow Malaysians and even for you the Malay Sultans when crooks and criminals who represent the ruling Malay party insult the Malay Royalties as evidenced by the following banners in the recent Terengganu MB choice by Tuanku Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin:
Did we the bloggers keep quiet about this affront to the Malay Sultans?
We surely did not and many bloggers rose up and bashed those insolent members of UMNO Terengganu as best as we could in our blogs or does Tuanku Sultan Pahang not know of this matter?
I pledge here again that as long as the Malay Sultans take care of us Malaysian citizens as best as they are entrusted to, we the Malaysian Bloggers will remain loyal and take care of our Sultans just the same for we are responsible citizens of Malaysia and we blog for justice and fairness for everyone, no matter if the person is a royal or a commoner?
As Allah is my witness, I speak herewith with no malice on my part but just to clear the air about the insinuation that ALL Bloggers are irresponsible as being made out to be by Tuanku Sultan or as what the mainstream media is propagating using that statement by Duli Tuanku Sultan Pahang?
Obviously, it is not fair for Tuanku to state so and it would be better for all if Tuanku could state that there are only certain bloggers who do so and not brush every blogger with the same condemnation that has been published and broadcasted by the mainstream fabricating, propaganda media?
There are both the good, the bad and the uglies amongst Mankind and before Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala on the Day of Judgment, each and everyone of us will beheld answerable for all that we say or do here on Earth, regardless of our current positions here on Earth.
I surely hope that the Malay Royalties will be fair to all citizens of Malaysia and know that we bloggers are here for a reason.
To help spread the truth and nothing but the truth so help me Allah!
Wabillahi Taufik Wal Hidayah.
Wassalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Ta'ala Wabarakatuh.
