Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh!
Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Walillah hil Hamd!
Syukur Alhamdulillah! I managed to perform my Aidilfitri prayers at Masjid Saidina Ali ibni Abi Talib at Bukit Sekilau, Kuantan.
The masjid was quite packed and overflowing with worshipers but I still managed to make it to the inner hall. The prayers went smoothly and I enjoyed my visit to the masjid on the morning of Hari Raya. Alhamdulillah!
I have been quite occupied with repainting our apartment here in Kuantan, Pahang. It's been quite an aching weekend for these old joints aren't as supple as they were.
The persons who had lived in the apartment before had been bad housekeepers and yours truly practically had to do a total makeover to the place.
The weirdos had painted the walls orange and had all kinds of stickers on the walls as well. Imagine my shock and dismay! What kind of sicko paints his or her home orange???
Yet we are grateful to Allah for finally answering our prayers that we have a place of our own here in Kuantan @ my wife's hometown.
I was getting sick of staying at Season's View, the hotel we had been staying in all these years whenever we travel to Kuantan! Having an apartment in Kuantan has been our topmost wish since we got married and this is our first Aidilfitri at our very own place here! Syukur Alhamdulillah!
Rome was not built in a day and so will I take some time to fully make over this apartment of ours. But then again, the satisfaction will be more than enough to have a place to come home to whenever we get a chance to travel out of KL and rest here at the East Coast of the Malay Peninsular.
Every Raya, I make it a point to have some photos of myself taken at my wife's ancestral kampong house and this here is one such shot.
This is a view of my wife's kampong in Kuantan. Now you know why I love to be in Kuantan whenever I get a chance to travel from KL to this heaven on Earth. This is our Malaysian paradise.
Alhamdulillah! Learn to treasure what we have before it's all gone as a result of Malaysians getting slack in guarding our shores like what takes place over at Lahad Datu, Sabah!
